00:02 Now in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. 00:04 I'm John Carter in Petra. 00:06 Reporting from India. 00:08 In Colombia. 00:09 I'm John Carter. 00:11 Today, on the Carter Report, 00:13 John Carter talks about Great Balls of Fire 00:16 and the signs of the times. 00:21 Welcome back. 00:22 Today, we're talking about Great Balls of Fire, 00:25 a prophecy that talks about the end of the days, 00:28 the end of times, return of Jesus Christ. 00:32 Now in the first segment, I spoke about the persecution 00:36 that many Christians are going through. 00:38 We know that this is true. 00:40 Hundreds of millions of Christians are being 00:42 persecuted around the world. 00:44 I spoke about Islamic terrorism, 00:48 but I want you to know this, 00:49 I want to make this very, very plain. 00:52 There are heaps of Muslims who are the salt of the earth. 00:55 They're wonderful people. 00:57 But we're talking about the extremists, 00:59 the people like ISIS. 01:02 And many, many Christians have been put to death 01:04 by groups like ISIS and Jesus told us about it 01:09 and Jesus told us to expect it. 01:11 That was in the first part of the program. 01:13 Now we're going to come to sign number four. 01:16 We got six great signs today. 01:18 And sign number four is about, here it is, here it comes, 01:23 it is the Reign of Lawlessness. 01:28 The Bible says that in the last days, in America 01:32 and around the world, 01:33 people will hate the Lord of God 01:37 and also the Lord of man. 01:40 There will be a reign of anarchy 01:43 and a reign of lawlessness. 01:45 Now would you please notice in the Bible 01:47 because we're reading today from the Bible. 01:49 I want you to come to Matthew 24:12, 01:54 and these are the words of the greatest person 01:57 who's ever lived, ever walked this earth as Jesus Christ. 02:01 Matthew 24:12, 02:05 "And because lawlessness will abound, 02:08 the love of many will grow cold." 02:11 It says lawlessness is going to abound. 02:16 It's going to be everywhere, it's going to be powerful. 02:19 There will be the spirit of the hatred 02:22 of the Lord of God and the Lord of man. 02:26 There will come anarchy to America. 02:30 I'm gonna tell you some things 02:32 that are going to be pretty hard to tell you. 02:34 Maybe this is going to be new to most of you. 02:37 It's going to be new to most of the people 02:38 watching on Fox, 3ABN, and around the world. 02:42 People say, "What on earth is going on in the world? 02:44 I just don't understand what's going on." 02:47 After you hear this, you will understand, 02:51 you'll have an inside look, you'll be smart. 02:53 Listen to this. 02:56 I'm going to talk now about three great philosophers 03:00 and teachers, whose ideas have permeated 03:04 the great universities in America, Europe, 03:08 Australia, Russia, 03:12 the great universities that have indoctrinated 03:15 millions of y'all young people, 03:20 tens of millions, hundreds of millions 03:22 around the world. 03:23 These ideas have produced a state of lawlessness, 03:28 hopelessness, or anti-Christian, 03:32 and also anti-American. 03:36 Do you wonder what's going on? 03:37 You just listen, you'll find out. 03:41 This is very controversial. 03:42 That is the truth. 03:44 These philosophies are responsible 03:47 for the greatest voice 03:49 in the history of the human race 03:54 and the vast number of the suicides 03:57 in the United States of America. 04:00 Name them, you say. 04:02 Well, here it goes. 04:05 Get ready to take it. 04:06 Charles Darwin, brilliant Englishman, 04:11 a gentleman. 04:12 He once was a Christian gentleman. 04:15 He wanted to become a pastor, 04:18 he wanted to become a Church of England minister, 04:23 but what people won't tell you today is this, 04:26 he had a beautiful daughter, he had a beautiful family. 04:29 And his daughter got sick. 04:31 And he prayed to God and he said, 04:33 "Please, God, save my daughter. 04:36 Don't let her die." 04:37 And when she died he said, "And there can't be any God." 04:43 So Darwinism came out of the despair of a man 04:47 whose prayers were not answered. 04:50 I do not believe Darwinism is scientific. 04:57 Darwinism teaches us that man is the product of... 05:01 Think this through time, matter, plus chance. 05:06 That means that if you leave hydrogen gas alone by itself 05:11 long enough, it will become men and women singing and dancing. 05:15 No, you laugh, of course you do. 05:17 Time plus matter plus chance, we must differentiate. 05:22 Now listen to me, my friends, I tell you, don't mess this up. 05:26 We need to make a difference between 05:28 micro and macro evolution. 05:32 All educated people including this guy, 05:37 all educated people believe in microevolution, 05:41 not all believe in macroevolution 05:43 that teaches that man came from a simple cell 05:48 in the ocean. 05:50 Now over there, you've got microevolution, 05:54 it is the tremendous change within the species. 06:00 Viruses, mutate, and evolution to say, 06:03 this is the proof of Darwinism, neo-Darwinism. 06:06 This is the proof of evolution. 06:08 It is the proof of microevolution. 06:13 But macroevolution, and young people, 06:15 you need to know this and your parents do too. 06:18 Macroevolution is that man has come down 06:22 through all of these animals 06:25 and finally goes back to a single cell 06:29 in a hot primordial sea. 06:34 And that is Darwinism. 06:40 Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees, 06:42 so let me just put a bit of wood up. 06:46 This is what it teaches. 06:48 Nothing produced everything, 06:52 nonlife produced life, 06:55 randomness produced fine-tuning, 06:59 the fine tuning in the universe came from randomness. 07:03 Chaos produced information, 07:06 unconsciousness produced consciousness, 07:09 non-reason produced the reason. 07:14 I say to you not to offend you, but I say to the scientists 07:18 who are watching that it's simply 07:21 the new insanity, 07:26 you see? 07:27 As the great professor John, great mathematician 07:33 from Oxford said to Professor Dawkins 07:37 that he's wrong. 07:38 You start with chaos, non-reason. 07:41 The Bible says, 07:42 "In the beginning was the Word." 07:45 You see? 07:46 We go back to a great and a mighty mind. 07:51 Atheistic evolution is the new insanity 07:55 that is destroying the world. 07:58 The survival of the fittest, get rid of that which is weak, 08:03 let nature take its course. 08:08 And that's taught in every university. 08:10 Young people are brainwashed with this 08:13 nonscientific philosophy that came from a man 08:17 who couldn't deal with the death of his daughter. 08:21 Number two, perhaps the philosopher 08:23 who has influenced America 08:25 more than any other person in the universities 08:28 is Frederick Nietzsche. 08:31 Now Christians on the whole know nothing 08:33 about these things. 08:35 And that is why they have an approach towards evangelism 08:40 which is generally completely wrong. 08:43 You're answering the wrong questions. 08:45 Frederick Nietzsche, the German philosopher 08:48 who was Hitler's inspiration. 08:50 He is the most influential philosopher 08:53 in the great universities in America 08:56 and around the world. 08:58 He taught God is dead. 09:01 Don't misunderstand this. 09:03 I think he was meaning that God is an idea is dead, 09:08 and that is true as far as most people are concerned. 09:12 He taught might is right. 09:14 Christianity is the greatest misfortune of humanity. 09:21 Pity thwarts the law of natural selection. 09:25 So he said Christianity was the worst thing 09:29 the world had ever seen 09:30 because it keeps alive that which should die. 09:35 That's why Hitler embraced him 09:37 and slept with a copy of The Antichrist, 09:40 his book under his pillow. 09:44 He was a passionate hater of Jesus and Christianity 09:48 because Christianity defends the poor and the weak, 09:51 and we're proud of it. 09:54 His antichrist teachings have destroyed 09:56 the souls of millions. 09:59 This is why most Christians cannot talk to young people 10:04 that have come out of universities 10:08 on two different planets. 10:11 And the third great philosopher was Karl Marx. 10:15 The German Jew who gave up facing God invented communism 10:21 and became the rock 10:23 on which the Soviet Union was built. 10:26 Now I know a lot about it, 10:29 I've been there, I've seen things. 10:31 Most people today are oblivious to the facts of history 10:35 because I spend seven hours a day 10:37 watching garbage on television. 10:40 Garbage in, garbage out, 10:42 that's why you can't have an intelligent conversation 10:44 with most people. 10:47 And that's why they're so easily deceived. 10:52 In result of communism was hopelessness, 10:56 despair, poverty, the deaths of millions. 11:00 His teachings are anti-Christian 11:03 and anti-American. 11:05 These three philosophers Darwin, Nietzsche, Marx 11:09 got rid of God and the law. 11:11 Their ideas have permeated our educational system, 11:17 which is now one of the worst in the industrialized world. 11:24 And that's not true? 11:25 Yes, it is. Just go and Google. 11:28 Why are there so many suicides? 11:31 A million Americans try to suicide every year, 11:36 45,000 succeed. 11:37 Why? 11:39 Because the death of hope leads to the hope for death, 11:42 can't you see it? 11:44 Why is drug addiction out of control in America? 11:48 Why are politics not the answer? 11:53 Because as I say, in Australia, 11:54 they're barking up the wrong gum tree, 11:57 looking in the wrong place 11:59 because people are filled with hopelessness and despair. 12:03 And death of God 12:04 always leads to the death of man. 12:07 Now we have the culture wars and all this stuff 12:10 is poisoning the minds of the American people 12:15 who spend seven hours or something a day 12:19 watching the dunk. 12:21 And today, a wave of hatred, anarchy, and lawlessness 12:25 is sweeping America. 12:27 There is a solution, it's Christ, 12:30 Christ and the word. 12:32 And we had a man watching one our television programs, 12:36 his name was V. 12:38 He was an American communist, an atheist. 12:44 You heard me interviewing my friend Hugh Ross. 12:47 We were talking about rational reasons to believe. 12:52 He gave his life to Christ. 12:55 We baptized him. 12:58 Today, he is a strong Christian. 13:00 He says, "The best thing I'd ever discovered 13:03 was the truth of Christ in the Bible." 13:06 But we talk to him in language that he could understand. 13:12 Sign number five, God's truth to the world. 13:16 Matthew 24:10-14, please turn to it. 13:19 Matthew 24. 13:21 "And then many will be offended, 13:23 will betray one another, and will hate one another." 13:26 That's happening today. 13:27 "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many." 13:30 That's happening today. 13:31 "And because lawlessness will abound, 13:34 the love of many or most will grow cold. 13:37 But he who endures to the end shall be saved." 13:40 You got us, hang in there. 13:42 "And this gospel of the kingdom 13:46 will be preached in all the world 13:47 as a witness to all the nations, 13:51 and then the end will come." 13:53 And nothing can stop it. 13:55 And what is the gospel? 13:58 Well, it's not good advice. 13:59 It doesn't say do, do, do, do, do, cock-a-doodle-do. 14:04 The gospel is about God, it's good news. 14:08 The God made us. 14:11 I am a child of God. 14:14 God loves us. 14:16 You are important. 14:18 I've told millions of atheists 14:20 including the leaders of the KGB. 14:23 You are not an animal, you are not a machine, 14:26 you are a child of God, you see? 14:31 And God in Christ became a man 14:35 and died in our place for our sins. 14:39 The gospel is, my sins are forgiven 14:42 and I receive eternal life 14:44 when I repent of my sins, nasty word. 14:48 Some people say, "I hate that word repentance." 14:50 Of course, you do. 14:52 Because of pride and blindness and stupidity. 14:57 When I repent and accept Jesus Christ 15:00 as my Lord and my Savior, I am saved. 15:05 That's the good news. 15:07 The good news is Christ is coming again. 15:11 And this gospel fire cannot be extinguished. 15:15 It is spreading around the world. 15:20 This gospel fire is burning in China. 15:25 It is burning in Cuba. 15:31 It is burning in South America, 15:35 and in the United States 15:36 in spite of the unbelief 15:41 in the church. 15:45 In Africa, I've seen it in Africa. 15:48 I've seen it burning, 15:50 over there in Russia 15:52 just a few weeks running meetings, 15:56 and on television, Russia, Australia, Ukraine, 16:00 and the islands of the sea. 16:03 You can't put it out. 16:06 You can try to destroy it, you can try to get rid of God, 16:11 you can curse Him to his face, 16:14 try your hardest, 16:16 you cannot extinguish the mighty fire of God. 16:23 I have preached in the biggest auditorium 16:26 in Kiev where Khrushchev stood. 16:32 I stood at the same lectern where he said, 16:36 within a generation, 16:38 the name of Christ will be blotted 16:41 from the face of the earth 16:45 because we have Nietzsche and Marx 16:48 and all of these people, 16:49 he said, the name of Christ will be obliterated. 16:54 Well, I preached on that very spot 16:57 to a bigger crowd than he had. 16:59 I want you to know Khrushchev is gone. 17:04 Khrushchev is dead, 17:06 Khrushchev is kaput, but Christ lives forever. 17:10 Amen. You see? 17:13 So that's one of the greatest signs. 17:15 I've seen it. 17:17 I'm not an armchair theologian, I'm not a philosopher, 17:20 I'm not just a talker, I'm not just a do-gooder, 17:24 I have seen the glory of the Lord. 17:29 And the biggest tragedies is that 17:32 many of us are being brainwashed by the media... 17:41 and we're getting ready for the great deception. 17:44 Sign number six, the Great Tribulation 17:47 and we're gonna get to these balls of fire. 17:49 Matthew 24:15 and onwards. 17:55 "'Therefore 17:58 when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' 18:00 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, 18:03 standing in the holy place' whoever reads, 18:05 let him understand." 18:07 Have you ever read the Book of Daniel? 18:08 And tell, "Oh, you can't understand it." 18:11 That's because people have had their minds 18:13 destroyed by television. 18:18 "For then there will be great tribulation, 18:20 such as has not been 18:21 since the beginning of the world 18:23 until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 18:26 Unless those days were shortened, 18:29 no flesh would be saved, but for the elect's sake." 18:34 The elect's sake. 18:37 But I'm told the elector in heaven. 18:40 I'm told they've been rafted home to glory. 18:49 How far can you get from the Bible? 18:52 The elector rafted home to glory. 18:55 Hallelujah Jesus! 18:57 No. 18:58 The elector here on the earth 19:00 and, "for the elect's sake those days will be shortened," 19:04 as we're living here. 19:06 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days 19:09 the sun will be darkened, 19:10 and the moon will not give its light, 19:12 the stars will fall from the heavens, 19:15 and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 19:18 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, 19:21 and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, 19:25 and they will see this Son of Man 19:28 coming on the clouds of heaven 19:30 with power and great glory." 19:34 So this great sign is the great tribulation 19:40 that involves the whole world 19:44 and the elect. 19:48 Goodness me! 19:51 And part of the great tribulation, 19:53 dear hearts and gentle people, 19:56 will be balls of fire. 20:04 Would you notice Joel in the Bible? 20:07 Joel means, "Yahweh is God." 20:10 Joel 2:30 and 31, 20:16 "And I will show wonders in the heavens 20:20 and in the earth, 20:22 blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 20:28 The sun shall be turned into darkness, 20:31 and the moon into blood, 20:33 before the coming 20:34 of the great and awesome day of the Lord." 20:37 Here is tremendous evidence why you can believe in God. 20:44 God does not want us to have a blind faith. 20:48 People say, "Oh, I don't believe. 20:50 I just believe." 20:52 That's craziness. 20:54 I believe on the basis of evidence. 20:57 And thousands of years ago, 21:00 the prophets are in the heavens, 21:02 blood and fire and pillars. 21:08 A pillar, pillars of smoke. 21:14 The Bible predicted the very conditions 21:18 that we're seeing in the world today 21:21 because I want you to know this Christ is coming. 21:26 And are you ready, my friend? 21:28 Are you ready or are you brainwashed? 21:33 We're going to come to Revelation 11, 21:39 Revelation 11. 21:42 "Then the seventh angel sounded, 21:46 and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, 21:49 'The kingdoms of this world 21:50 have become the kingdoms of our Lord 21:53 and of His Christ, 21:55 and He shall reign forever and ever!'" 22:00 look at these words. 22:01 "The nations were angry," like they are now. 22:05 "And your wrath has come, 22:07 and the time of the dead that they should be judged, 22:11 and that You should reward Your servants 22:14 the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, 22:18 small and great, 22:19 and should destroy those who destroy the Earth. 22:24 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, 22:27 and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. 22:30 And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, 22:34 an earthquake, and great hail." 22:40 Thousands of years ago, 22:42 the Bible predicted that 22:43 men would get the capacity to destroy the earth. 22:49 The word destroy has 22:51 a number of possible translations. 22:56 Pollute, those who pollute the earth, 23:00 those who corrupt the earth, 23:03 moral corruption and filth, 23:07 and destroy as to wipe out 23:11 because we have interfered with the balance of nature 23:15 by filling the atmosphere with carbon, 23:19 there will be more storms, more hurricanes, 23:22 more droughts, more heat, more starvation, 23:25 more disease, and more death. 23:28 We have reached this era. 23:32 And in the heavens, blood and fire, 23:37 those who destroy the Earth, 23:41 this is proof of God. 23:45 We have come to the last, last era. 23:50 And the message is plain and simple. 23:53 All the people who are watching, 23:55 the Lord is coming, are you ready? 24:00 There are three great events. 24:01 Number one, creation, God made you. 24:04 You're not an animal, not a machine. 24:07 Number two, redemption, Christ died for you. 24:10 God loved you. 24:12 He invited time and space, he died for you. 24:14 Number three, the second coming of Christ, 24:17 Christ will return for his children 24:21 who've been born again. 24:24 Now over in Russia, and 25 years ago, 24:29 I baptized a young woman, her name was Olga. 24:34 She was been down in Ukraine, 24:36 I marched to village out into the snow, 24:38 they dug a big hole in the ground, 24:40 and they machine gunned them all to death, did the Nazis. 24:46 And God hate us. 24:50 She was able to escape through the providence of God. 24:54 She got on a train, months later, 24:57 went up to Nizhny Novgorod where I'm going soon. 25:00 She got married.
