00:02 I'm John Carter in Moscow.
00:04 In Havana, Cuba. 00:07 Now in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. 00:10 I'm John Carter in Petra. 00:13 Right here in Communist China. 00:16 Reporting from India. 00:18 Hi, I'm John Carter in the Solomon Islands. 00:21 I'm John Carter in Soweto. 00:23 From El Salvador. 00:26 I'm John Carter in Sydney, Australia. 00:29 There's a battle going on 00:31 and John Carter wants to stop the killings. 00:36 Welcome back, my friends, 00:38 my great studio audience here in Southern California 00:42 and the greater audience across America 00:44 and around the world. 00:46 Today we're talking about Stop the Killings. 00:50 I know that's sort of optimistic. 00:53 How on earth are you gonna stop the killings. 00:55 But what we were saying is, 00:57 this is what we said in the first segment. 01:00 You can't legislate morality. 01:04 You can't do it. 01:06 You can get Congress to pass all the laws they want to pass, 01:09 but unless there's something changed in the heart. 01:14 In the first segment, we spoke about the greatest of all laws, 01:18 love God and the second one 01:20 is love your neighbor as yourself. 01:22 And if you love your neighbor as yourself, 01:24 you won't be sending out awful tweets, 01:26 and you won't be threatening people, 01:28 and you won't be calling people awful names, you see. 01:32 And so today, we're talking about how to stop the killings. 01:36 In the Bible, God the Creator, 01:40 now this is a follow on from the first segment. 01:42 In the Bible, God the Creator 01:47 also gave two great pillars 01:50 for the preservation of the human race 01:52 and His people. 01:56 And I wouldn't be at all surprised 01:57 if most of us have never I heard this before. 02:03 In the Bible, God the Creator 02:06 gave two great pillars 02:11 for the preservation 02:13 and the prosperity of His people. 02:16 Number one, marriage, and number two, the Sabbath. 02:22 Pillar number one is found in the Book of Genesis. 02:26 Genesis 1:27-28. 02:28 And you folks who got Bibles here, 02:30 I want you to turn to the text, please. 02:31 Genesis 1:27-28. 02:38 This is the first pillar. 02:41 "So God created man in His own image," 02:45 not made in the image of a monkey. 02:47 "In the image of God, He created him, 02:51 male and female, He created them." 02:54 So God made men and women. 02:57 Verse 28, God blessed them and God said to them, 02:59 "Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, 03:03 have dominion over the fish of the sea, 03:05 over the birds of the air, 03:06 and over every living thing 03:08 that moves on the earth." 03:11 The first great institution 03:16 for the salvation of the human race was marriage 03:21 between a man and a woman, 03:24 and the Bible says it, no apologies. 03:29 Now, would you come over here 03:30 to Genesis 2:24. 03:36 It says, and God inspired this, 03:41 "Therefore, 03:43 a man shall leave his father and mother 03:46 and be joined to his wife, 03:48 and the two shall become one flesh." 03:54 So when God made the human race, 03:57 so many years ago, 03:59 for the preservation of the human race, 04:02 God gave the human race marriage. 04:06 And God said, for this reason, 04:09 a man is going to leave his father and his mother, 04:14 and he's going to be united to his wife, 04:17 and the two shall become one flesh. 04:20 Now, the second pillar is found in Genesis 2:1-3. 04:26 That's why I'm using the first two chapters of the Bible, 04:29 because these are the pillars 04:31 that come from the Garden of Eden, 04:32 Genesis 2:1-3, 04:34 "Thus the heavens and the earth, 04:36 and all the hosts of them were finished. 04:38 And on the seventh day, 04:39 God ended His work which He had done, 04:41 and He rested on the seventh day 04:43 from all His work which He had done 04:45 and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, 04:49 because in it He rested from all His work 04:53 which God had created and made." 04:56 God gave the Sabbath. 04:58 Why on earth did God give us the Sabbath? 05:02 Because the Sabbath reminds us 05:06 that we came from the hand of God. 05:10 I didn't come up from the slime, 05:13 I came down from the hand of God. 05:18 Therefore, I'm distinct. 05:21 I'm unique. 05:22 I'm splendid, because I am a child of God. 05:29 You can't really argue about this. 05:32 Two great pillars for the stability, 05:35 the salvation, 05:38 the sustainability, 05:40 the security, 05:41 and the prosperity of humanity, 05:47 marriage and the Sabbath. 05:49 Now, the question we need to ask is this, 05:52 this should not be controversial. 05:54 What is marriage? 05:57 Now, some people come to me and they're gonna say 05:59 but the Supreme Court says, "You're wrong." 06:01 No, the Supreme Court doesn't say I'm wrong. 06:04 The Supreme Court doesn't have authority in this area. 06:08 Oh, yes, they do. They got authority. 06:10 No, the Supreme Court is not above the Bible, 06:15 you see. 06:19 When I'm talking here, he says 06:20 old fashioned as American apple pie, 06:24 that we believe in God and we believe in the Bible. 06:29 Now, the question is, according to the Bible, 06:32 not the Supreme Court 06:34 or the Senate or some politician 06:38 who's trying to get votes. 06:41 What is marriage? 06:43 Well, go to the words of Jesus, 06:45 Matthew 19:4-5, Matthew 19, 06:50 "And He, Jesus, answered and said to them, 06:54 'Have you not read?' 06:55 "Read where? 06:57 In the Supreme Court. 06:58 No, but in the Bible. 06:59 "'Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning, 07:02 made them male and female, 07:07 male and female, 07:09 and said, 'For this reason, 07:12 a man shall leave His father and His mother, 07:17 and be joined to his wife, that's the female, 07:21 and the two shall become one flesh.' 07:27 "Let me look you in the eye 07:29 whether you wish to hear this or not, it is the truth. 07:34 We are drowning in a sea 07:36 of biblical illiteracy. 07:41 The Bible says that God gave two great institutions, 07:46 marriage and the Sabbath. 07:48 And in the Holy Bible, 07:50 marriage is not the union of a man with a man, 07:54 neither is it the union 07:56 of a woman with a woman, 08:00 Jesus said. 08:02 And you say, "You have no right to say this." 08:05 Yes, I do. 08:07 As a Christian and as American citizen, 08:12 I believe in the right of freedom of speech. 08:17 I believe in a right to say and to preach 08:22 what my conscience tells me to preach. 08:25 And if some person comes along and says, 08:28 you do not have that right, 08:33 they do not represent the America that we love, 08:37 they represent the great apostate church 08:40 of the Dark Ages from whence we escaped. 08:46 You see, we talked about that in the first talk. 08:51 Now, I believe that every Christian 08:56 ought to avoid whatever the cost all hate speech. 09:01 Hate speech may be guaranteed by the Constitution. 09:04 You say, "No, it's not guaranteed by the..." 09:07 Yes, it is. 09:09 Because what my hate, 09:13 my speech may be hateful to you, 09:17 but it may be the very essence of the teachings of the Bible. 09:21 But Jesus said, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 09:28 Therefore, all speech, including hate speech 09:33 may be guaranteed by the Constitution, 09:36 but hate speech is morally wrong. 09:38 Never forget it. 09:40 We should love people, regardless of their religion. 09:48 We should love Muslims and we should love Jews. 09:53 We should love Catholics and Pentecostals, 09:57 and Adventists, and Baptists, and atheists. 10:04 And we should love people 10:06 without regard 10:07 to their sexual orientation. 10:12 Did you hear this? 10:14 We should love people 10:15 without regard to their sexual orientation, 10:19 and we should love people whatever their race may be. 10:23 Racism is of the devil. 10:30 And today, there's a lot of racism in America. 10:35 We know it. 10:38 Martin Luther King, 10:40 one of the greatest of all Americans, 10:43 a great Baptist pastor said, 10:47 "We ought to judge a person, not by the color of his skin, 10:51 but by the content of his character." 10:55 You see, by the content of his character. 11:01 So racism and white supremacy are wrong. 11:11 But, here comes a but. 11:13 President Obama opened the floodgates 11:19 when he encouraged this so called same sex marriage. 11:25 And I'm not criticizing him as a person. 11:30 He stands or falls not before the Supreme Court, 11:34 but before Almighty God and He has a judgment day. 11:38 And so do you. 11:41 So do you. 11:43 But he opened the floodgates. 11:46 He opened the floodgates, 11:48 not because I believe of conviction, 11:51 but because he knew he would get more votes. 12:00 It seems that so many politicians are the same. 12:03 He changed the social order 12:07 and over through thousands of years 12:10 of universally accepted moral truth. 12:14 People will say, "Ah, nothing." 12:16 Hey. 12:18 It was the greatest downfall in the history 12:22 of the United States of America. 12:25 Because for thousands of years, everybody, everybody, 12:30 the Catholics, Protestants, 12:31 the Jews, the Muslims, the atheists, 12:34 all believed in the Bible definition of marriage. 12:39 And with one stroke of a pen, 12:43 leaning on the Supreme Court, he overthrew the social order. 12:49 To add shame, 12:51 the so called enlightened Western liberal countries 12:53 followed America, 12:56 down the hill, New Zealand, 12:59 England, Germany, Australia, and on and on. 13:05 But not Russia. 13:07 Not Russia, not China. 13:12 China is an atheistic country, 13:14 but they said marriage is between a man and a woman. 13:19 Not China, smarter than us. 13:23 Not Africa, none of the Muslim countries. 13:27 Since President Obama abandoned the truth of the Bible, 13:30 every other deviation 13:31 from the Word of God is followed. 13:34 We now have men becoming women 13:37 and beating the women in sports. 13:40 Hey, you got big, burly guy. 13:42 Hey, I am a lady. 13:45 And then he goes into sports against the ladies 13:47 and he completely beats them up, trashes them. 13:50 But I'm really a lady. 13:53 People say this stuff with a straight face. 13:57 Women declaring they're men, where will it end? 14:02 He and she 14:03 are politically incorrect terms 14:08 on some campuses, some American universities, 14:11 and there are people, 14:13 I'm offended because you call me she. 14:17 You've hurt my feelings, boohoo for you. 14:23 Can't say he or she? 14:30 And now we have spreading in America, bestiality. 14:36 But you say bestiality is so wrong. 14:40 But why is it so wrong if there is no God? 14:44 And if we came from the animals, 14:46 why is it so wrong? 14:48 Will anybody start to think logically? 14:51 What's happened to our brains? 14:54 If there is no God, then there is no man. 14:59 And if you came from the beast, 15:01 then what's wrong with marrying a beast, 15:06 that's happening. 15:08 Unions of men and women with animals. 15:17 You know what follows, this in hell. 15:23 National apostasy will be followed by national ruin. 15:27 America will not be great again until America is good again. 15:35 We do not need more legislation, 15:37 we need regeneration 15:41 from inside. 15:44 Marriages are foundation of society, 15:46 one man, one woman, and hopefully with kids, 15:49 that's God's ideal. 15:51 Today in America, 15:52 the home that is the foundation of American society 15:56 is on the rocks. 15:57 It's attacked by spineless politicians 16:01 and the godless media. 16:06 Hollywood is warring against God and marriage 16:09 and the masses are being brainwashed 16:14 because the masses have become so ignorant. 16:22 Might be a good thing 16:24 if we put away our cell phones for a minute 16:27 and got out our Bibles and read the Bible. 16:35 Did you know that in Africa, 16:37 where they have these wonderful elements, 16:39 they've observed an amazing phenomenon. 16:42 I've been to Africa on many occasions, 16:45 I love Africa. 16:46 If the old bull elephants are killed, 16:50 and the tribe of elephants is only led by the females... 16:56 This is a fact. 16:57 Don't get mad with me, ladies. 17:00 But if you get rid 17:01 of the old bull elephants, 17:06 all the young bulls become juveniles, 17:10 delinquents, 17:12 and they go around marauding, breaking down the farms, 17:16 killing people and people say, 17:19 what's happened to the young bulls? 17:21 Well, their daddies went away. 17:29 It's a fact. 17:34 One troubled segment of American society, 17:37 in one trouble segment, 17:39 more than 75% of the boys 17:43 do not have a resident father. 17:47 They are murdering each other by the thousands every year. 17:51 And this is the truth, America doesn't want to hear. 17:56 At least the liberal media, 17:59 they will not talk about it. 18:04 Because we love all people, 18:06 black, white, brown, and in between. 18:09 We are called to unmask those terrible conditions 18:12 that are enslaving millions in poverty and crime. 18:16 The story is told by the great Moody, 18:19 the great American evangelist 18:21 that there was a farmer 18:25 and he had poison in the well. 18:29 We got poison in the well now. 18:31 You know what the farmer did? 18:32 He got a can of whitewash. 18:33 Whitewashed the pump. 18:36 Whitewashed the pump and there's poison in the well. 18:41 You know what we're doing? 18:42 We are whitewashing the pump and there's poison in the well. 18:45 You know what you gotta do? 18:47 You gotta clean out the well. 18:51 You gotta clean out the well. 18:55 We're putting a band aid on. 18:58 My cry is bring back the marriage of the Bible 19:00 and stand up for the truth. 19:02 2 Chronicles 7:14 says this, 19:06 "If my people are called by My name 19:08 will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, 19:11 and turn from their wicked ways, 19:13 then I will hear from heaven, 19:14 and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 19:19 That's how you heal the families. 19:24 The Catholics, of course, are right 19:26 when they say the family 19:27 that prays together stays together. 19:31 In America, Christians have been persecuted 19:34 for their religious convictions about marriage. 19:38 Example: the Baker in Colorado harassed, 19:42 persecuted because he believes 19:44 that marriage is between a man and a woman in America. 19:48 And then you've heard of Chick-fil-A in Texas, 19:53 I think it was in San Antonio kicked out of a major airport 19:57 because although they hire and serve everyone, 20:01 the owner does not believe in so called same sex marriage. 20:05 Therefore they were harassed. 20:08 The owner also believes in the Sabbath. 20:11 And they closed but harassed 20:18 by the so-called people who want inclusiveness. 20:24 He was not inclusive enough. 20:27 We're gonna kick you out 20:29 because you don't think like we do. 20:32 The terrible intolerance of the liberal left... 20:39 The far-left. 20:40 If we transgress God's laws, 20:41 we will suffer dreadful calamities. 20:43 God doesn't do it, 20:45 He leaves us to reap what we sow. 20:47 He removes His hand and mass killings break out. 20:52 Now I believe in sensible gun laws. 20:55 I don't believe in civilians owning military type weapons. 21:00 But the main problem is not the gun, 21:02 it's the breakdown of the traditional home. 21:05 If people didn't have guns, 21:07 they'd kill each other with toothpicks, or knives, 21:13 or sticks of dynamite. 21:18 Remember the young bull elephants. 21:23 So bring back marriage and don't be afraid 21:26 to stand up for what you believe in. 21:29 Be an American hero, don't be a coward. 21:33 Genesis 2:1-3, the second great institution, 21:38 "Thus the heavens and the earth 21:40 and all the host of them were finished. 21:42 Now on the seventh day God ended His work 21:43 which He had done, 21:45 and He rested on the seventh day 21:46 from all His work which he had done. 21:48 Then God blessed the seventh day 21:50 and sanctified it, 21:51 because in it He rested from all His work 21:54 which God had created and made." 21:56 God gave the Sabbath, the weekly Sabbath, 22:02 to remind us that we came from the hand of God, 22:06 and we're not cousins to the monkeys. 22:11 It's the rest day, 22:13 it's the blessed day, it's the best day, 22:17 and it is also the test day. 22:22 The greatest theologian of the 20th century 22:25 has this statement in one of his books 22:27 about the Sabbath. 22:30 "When the holy day becomes the day 22:31 of man, society, and humanity wither away, 22:34 and the demons rule." 22:37 The Sabbath reminds us that God is God. 22:40 Remember what Jesus said 22:41 about the Sabbath in Mark 2:27, 22:46 "The Sabbath was made for man, 22:49 it was made for your good, not man for the Sabbath. 22:53 Therefore the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." 22:56 It is the Lord's Day. 22:58 There was a time when Americans went to church. 23:04 Imagine the liberal New York Times 23:08 coming out and saying this, 23:09 listen to this, my American friends, 23:14 The liberal New York Times says 23:17 it is time for America to have a digital Sabbath. 23:22 They said these digital devices have got us by the throat 23:28 and we can't think for ourselves anymore. 23:30 We can't go anywhere. 23:32 Gotta have this thing. 23:34 You can't go anywhere. 23:35 You can't come into a meeting like this. 23:37 You can't wait to get out. You gotta have your smoke. 23:41 It's because you're an addict. 23:44 You're being controlled by other forces, 23:49 and so the liberal New York Times says, 23:53 American needs a digital Sabbath. 23:57 You turn off all your digital devices 24:01 on Friday night 24:02 and leave them up off for 24 hours, 24:04 says the liberal New York Times. 24:07 Why don't you do it? 24:09 Or are you too much of an addict? 24:12 Do you have the courage? 24:13 Or are you brainwashed? 24:16 Think about it. 24:18 Look at Luke 4:16-19, 24:22 "So he came to Nazareth where he'd been brought up 24:24 and as his custom was, 24:26 He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day 24:28 and stood up for to read. 24:30 And he was given the book of the prophet Isaiah. 24:32 And when he opened the book, 24:34 He found the place where it is written: 24:36 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, 24:37 because He has anointed Me 24:39 to preach the gospel to the poor, 24:40 He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, 24:42 to proclaim liberty to the captives, 24:45 and recovery of sight to the blind, 24:47 to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 24:49 to reclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.'" 24:52 Jesus was a Sabbath keeper 24:56 and on the Sabbath, He liberated people. 25:00 Listen, the Sabbath is the family day, 25:04 when families go to church together, 25:07 it's also called the Lord's Day. 25:10 Americans once were a God fearing people 25:13 that made them strong. 25:15 They went to church, they read their Bible, 25:18 but today the Sabbath is forsaken 25:20 by the vast majority of Americans. 25:23 You want to know the problem. 25:24 We've gotten away from God, God hasn't gotten away from us. 25:27 We've gotten away from God. 25:33 The Holy Day has become the day of man 25:35 and the demons are ruling. 25:38 We've sown to the wind 25:40 and we are reaping the world 25:42 when I think of the words of the song by Marijohn Wilkin, 25:47 "I have returned to the God of my childhood, 25:51 to the same symbol of faith 25:53 as a child I once knew." 25:58 Do you wanna make America great again? 26:03 Make America righteous again. 26:07 And the killings will cease. 26:10 In the name of the Father, 26:13 and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 26:18 Amen. 26:27 Hello, friend. I'm John Carter. 26:29 Behind me is the great city of Manila, 26:33 the capital of the Philippines. 26:36 Did you know, this is quite amazing. 26:37 There are more people living in this area 26:40 than in New York City. 26:42 And Christ died for these people. 26:44 We came here, oh, long time ago back in 1984. 26:50 What's that, 34, 35 years ago, 26:53 and we came here with a team of young people 26:56 and we came to the PICC. 26:59 It is our intent to come here, 27:01 hire the biggest hall that's available, 27:03 the greatest outdoor stadium, whatever it takes. 27:08 You've got more than 20 million souls out here. 27:13 And I say it again. 27:14 These are people for whom Christ died. 27:17 I'm asking you to pray 27:18 for the people of the Philippines. 27:20 Please pray for the people here in Metro Manila. 27:24 And please write to me 27:26 John Carter, P.O.
