00:01 This teaching was part of a series
00:03 meant for the Manila programs. 00:05 Because of COVID-19, 00:07 John Carter now brings this message 00:09 from his Los Angeles studio. 00:12 Visitors from other worlds, 00:14 opens up fascinating information 00:16 about the wonders of the universe. 00:19 Here is John Carter. 00:22 Hello, friend. 00:24 I'm John Carter in Southern California. 00:27 And today I'm talking about the most amazing subject. 00:31 I'm talking about amazing discoveries in the universe. 00:36 Visitors from other worlds, 00:39 you're going to be absolutely amazed. 00:43 Listening to a political commentator on CNN, 00:47 I think it was CNN just a few days ago 00:49 here in the United States, and he said, 00:53 "You can't have your own facts." 00:55 He said it and a lot of people say you know, 00:57 I've got facts and you've got facts, 00:59 but my friend, 01:00 you can't have alternative facts. 01:02 Facts are facts are facts. 01:07 You can have an opinion, 01:09 but your opinion may be right, but it may be wrong. 01:12 But what we need to discover is the truth and the facts. 01:17 And today, we're talking about facts. 01:20 Somebody else said this statement 01:22 and it is absolutely so true. 01:26 This person said, "It's almost impossible 01:30 to get someone to see something 01:33 if his salary depends 01:34 upon his not seeing it. 01:39 Or if he's a politician, 01:41 and he's trying to get reelected. 01:44 It's almost impossible to get someone to see something 01:47 if his salary depends upon his not seeing it. 01:53 Today, we're going to take you into the heavens. 01:55 We're going to show you some amazing wonders 01:58 as we talk about visitors from other worlds. 02:03 That's an ancient prophecy. 02:04 It is totally amazing. 02:08 And you're going to enjoy this program today. 02:10 I want to send greetings today 02:12 to my friends right around the world, 02:14 but especially my friends in the great city of Manila. 02:18 We were planning to come to see you 02:20 and ran a great series of meetings. 02:22 But then COVID-19 came along and stopped us. 02:26 But we hope that one day we can get back and see you. 02:30 We send you greetings today, all of you, 02:32 and especially the President of the Philippines. 02:36 We have so many wonderful people 02:38 we want to touch base with you again. 02:41 But today, I'm talking about the amazing, 02:44 the astounding wonders of our universe. 02:49 You're going to enjoy this. 02:53 Let me talk a bit about the big issues of life. 02:56 This is not important. This is super important. 03:00 The big issues of life, who am I? 03:03 Am I a who? 03:05 Or am I a what? 03:08 Am I a machine? 03:10 Am I an animal? 03:11 Or am I a child of God? 03:16 I've been to Russia on many occasions. 03:20 I think about 50 times and when I went there, 03:23 I saw the results 03:25 of the great communist revolution. 03:28 It sent a chill down my spine. 03:32 I've got something here that will interest you. 03:34 This is a spike which I had gilded. 03:38 It is a spike taken from the railway line 03:42 called the Trans-Siberian Railway Line. 03:46 I think it's the longest railway line in the world. 03:49 And over that railway line traveled 03:52 at least 10 million innocent people 03:57 on their way to death in Siberia 04:00 and other places like Magadan. 04:03 Ever heard of Magadan? 04:05 It's a city in Russia's Far East. 04:09 If you go there today, 04:11 it's nothing like it used to be. 04:13 It used to be an atheistic death camp for dissidents, 04:18 people like you and people like me 04:21 and people who didn't follow the party line. 04:25 It was a city of hell. 04:27 And the roads were paved, wait for this, this is true. 04:31 The roads in Magadan 04:33 were paved with human bones, 04:38 because Stalin and the rest of his cohorts 04:41 taught that man was not a person, 04:45 but basically he was an animal. 04:49 He was a machine 04:51 and he could be disposed of. 04:56 Do you know how many people they killed 04:58 in the great Soviet Union, the great atheistic experiment? 05:03 They killed I'm told up to 70 million people. 05:08 The Chinese killed about 40 or 50 million people 05:12 because they refused to conform to the party line, 05:17 which taught that man was a machine 05:20 or man was an animal. 05:22 And when I spoke to 05:24 literally millions of atheists in the old Soviet Union, 05:28 in big meetings right across that country, 05:30 I would tell them every night, "You are not an animal. 05:34 You are not a machine. 05:36 You are a child of God, 05:39 and you are distinct and glorious. 05:42 You are important, because God made you." 05:46 So here are the great philosophical questions. 05:50 Where did I come from? Why am I here? 05:54 And where am I going? 05:56 Am I a who or am I a what? 06:02 The most important statement 06:04 that was ever made in the history of humanity 06:08 was made by a prince in the land of Egypt about... 06:13 Oh, three and a half year, 06:17 about three and a half thousand years ago. 06:20 And it is found in the book of books. 06:24 It is found in the ancient Hebrew Scriptures. 06:29 Genesis 1:1. 06:32 Listen, these are the most important words 06:35 ever spoken, ever written. 06:37 "In the beginning, 06:39 God created the heavens and the earth." 06:43 And so, I told the atheists, and the communists, 06:47 and the professors at Moscow University, 06:51 you are not a thing, you are a child of God, 06:55 because there is a Creator God 06:59 and He made You and He loves you. 07:03 This is just a little aside. 07:06 This statement was made, as I mentioned 07:08 by a mighty Egyptian prince around 1500 BC. 07:14 An amazing person, 07:18 an amazing person, a great scholar. 07:20 We've even seen the tombs of that period. 07:23 I've been there, and I have explored them. 07:26 We have seen them. 07:27 We've even seen what we believe could be 07:30 the remains of his foster mother, 07:33 though we are not dogmatic on that point. 07:36 But we think his foster mother 07:38 was the great queen of ancient Egypt, 07:41 whose name was Hatshepsut. 07:43 We saw her temples, we saw the glory. 07:46 We saw Thutmose III, Moses' great rival. 07:52 And Moses, we believe inspired by a mighty force outside 07:58 of himself said these tremendous words. 08:01 "In the beginning, 08:04 God created the heavens and the earth." 08:08 Listen to me 08:10 what I told the Russian scientists, 08:13 and I say respectfully to you, 08:16 the Bible teaches that there was a beginning. 08:21 And in that beginning, the universe came into being. 08:27 That is a fact. 08:29 Let me talk about the origin of the universe. 08:33 There have been a number of views 08:34 held concerning the origin of the universe. 08:39 One of those views 08:40 was hardly held today by a single scientist. 08:44 It's a debunked theory. 08:46 It was believed until relatively recently 08:49 by all of the scientific world, 08:51 including Albert Einstein 08:53 who saw the folly of these ways and gave it up. 08:55 It is called the Steady State Theory. 08:59 It's simply says that the universe 09:01 had never, never been created. 09:04 It had been there for trillions and trillions of years. 09:09 So there was no beginning 09:11 and there certainly would be no ending. 09:14 I've got a tremendous picture. 09:16 I'm gonna put it up here on the screen. 09:18 It's a picture that almost gives me goosebumps. 09:22 It's a picture of Professor Hubble 09:25 and the great Einstein. 09:27 And they're discovering, 09:29 at least Hubble is explaining to the great, 09:32 great Einstein that the universe 09:34 had a beginning. 09:36 Because they had discovered, 09:38 Hubble had discovered and some other scientists, 09:40 but it basically went back to Hubble 09:42 that the universe is expanding. 09:45 It's expanding at almost the speed of light. 09:48 And if it is expanding, 09:50 it is proof that there was a beginning. 09:55 And so today, nobody believes, well, hardly. 09:59 I don't think hardly anybody believes 10:01 in the Steady State Theory, 10:03 which is so necessary for the process of evolution 10:07 to take place because you need trillions 10:10 and trillions of years. 10:13 More recently, scientists came to the viewpoint 10:18 that the universe, yes, through Hubble, 10:22 then the acceptance of Einstein. 10:24 But after the Steady State Theory 10:26 came the Big Bang Theory. 10:29 Now I have some Christian friends 10:31 and they say to me, 10:32 "This makes me nervous to talk about the Big Bang." 10:37 Don't worry about it, my friend, you can just say, 10:39 the beginning of everything. 10:41 But the Big Bang Theory says this, 10:44 that at one time, 10:46 there was no such thing as time. 10:49 There was no such thing as matter. 10:52 And all of a sudden, there was a tremendous, 10:55 a tremendous start to the universe. 10:59 And they call it the Big Bang. 11:04 Firstly, the term Big Bang 11:07 was used as a sense of derision. 11:11 Such a silly idea some said. 11:14 But it was very much like the idea 11:16 which is taught in the Bible. 11:18 And I told the professors at Moscow University, 11:21 and they said, "Yes, it is true." 11:26 This idea of a beginning 11:30 which scientists call somewhat 11:33 with a sense of humor, the Big Bang. 11:37 When the universe was started out of nothing, 11:41 was created by 11:42 a tremendous force out of nothing, 11:44 and has been expanding ever since. 11:48 And they would tell you with some validity, 11:52 that this started 13.8 billion years ago 11:57 which is, wait for this, 12:00 this is relatively recent 12:03 in the history of God. 12:07 Because God has no beginning 12:09 but relatively recently, 12:12 there was a tremendous event 12:14 and the universe came into being. 12:17 That idea today is believed by 12:19 almost every scientist on the face of the earth. 12:22 It's an amazing idea, because a beginning, 12:26 wait for this, 12:28 a beginning implies a beginner. 12:33 Did you get this? 12:35 Let me say it again. 12:37 Let me spell it out as plain as I can. 12:41 A beginning 12:44 implies a beginner. 12:47 And that is why so many people 12:50 didn't want to believe in this idea 12:52 because a beginning 12:55 implies a beginner. 13:00 That is why the texts that 13:01 we read is so incredibly important. 13:05 Let me talk for a moment now 13:07 about the prevailing worldview. 13:09 This is taught by many, many people 13:12 who really are not following the facts. 13:14 They're simply expressing their opinion. 13:17 But the prevailing worldview teaches if there is no God, 13:21 this is what is taught in most secular universities, 13:25 there is no God, there is no personal creator. 13:30 I say it once again. 13:31 This is being taught in most of our universities. 13:34 This is not science. Are you listening to me? 13:37 This is not science. 13:39 This is simply a new religion 13:43 and a different philosophy. 13:45 But let me tell you what it teaches, 13:47 because you'll find that this is quite mind-boggling. 13:50 Nothing produced everything, you say, that's crazy. 13:54 Yes, it is. 13:56 Non life produced life, you say, that's crazy. 13:59 Unconsciousness produced consciousness, 14:02 you say that that's absolutely crazy. 14:05 Chaos produced information. 14:07 This is what is taught today 14:10 by some of the great scientists in the world, 14:12 like Dr. Richard Dawkins 14:14 who does not believe in the beginning God created. 14:18 Randomness produced fine tuning, 14:21 non reason produced reason, you say, it's a crazy idea. 14:27 The Bible says, 14:29 in the beginning was the Word, the logos. 14:32 In the beginning was the intelligence, 14:34 in the beginning was the mind and the mind was with God, 14:39 and the mind was God. 14:40 The Bible teaches that nothing starts from chaos, 14:44 nothing starts from randomness. 14:46 The Bible teaches that a great mind 14:50 which is called the center of intelligence, the logos. 14:54 He was the person who said, "Let there be light. 14:57 Let there be a universe." 15:01 We call this you, I say this with no apologies. 15:05 It is the truth. 15:07 We say this worldview is the new insanity. 15:11 It is the new religion. 15:14 And this is why, my friend, I tell you, 15:16 this is why Western civilization today 15:20 is in decline and is in great trouble. 15:24 This is why we have so many suicides. 15:28 People say, what is the purpose of living? 15:31 I am something nothing, 15:33 there is no beginning 15:35 of my relationship with the Creator, 15:39 and therefore there is no life, 15:41 there's no life beyond the grave. 15:43 I'm simply a bizarre accident. 15:46 All I am people say is, 15:49 I'm the product of time, plus matter, plus chance. 15:53 So if you have enough time, and if you have enough matter, 15:57 and if you have enough chance, you'll have a human being. 16:01 This is the new insanity. 16:03 Is it any wonder that 16:04 tens of thousands of young people 16:07 and others here in these great United States 16:10 can't face the prospect of life 16:12 under those circumstances and they commit suicide. 16:16 Suicide has become the badge 16:19 and I'm quoting some great philosopher. 16:21 Suicide has become the badge of our despair. 16:28 That's the new religion. 16:29 It's not based upon facts. 16:31 It is based upon erroneous deductions. 16:35 It is a new religion of despair. 16:40 Let me quote you from a great British scientist. 16:45 One of the world's greatest. 16:47 This is Fred Hoyle. 16:51 Famous, famous astronomer. 16:54 Just listen up, please. 16:56 Life cannot have had a random beginning. 17:01 The likelihood 17:02 of the spontaneous formation of life 17:06 from inanimate matter 17:08 is one to a number with 40,000 noughts after it. 17:13 A nought is zero. 17:15 In other words, it's a zero idea. 17:18 It's absurd, says Sir Fred Hoyle. 17:24 It is big enough, this crazy idea, that's, 17:27 he didn't say crazy idea, I said it. 17:30 It is big enough to bury Darwin 17:32 and the whole theory of evolution. 17:36 There was no primordial soup, 17:39 as some scientists say in their desperation. 17:42 There was no primordial soup, 17:45 neither on this planet nor on any other. 17:49 And if the beginning of life were not random, they there, 17:54 they must therefore have been the product, 17:57 they must therefore have been 17:59 the product of purposeful intelligence. 18:04 Would you please look at this, 18:07 life cannot have had a random beginning. 18:12 The likelihood of it was spontaneous formation of life 18:15 from inanimate matter 18:17 is one to a number with 40,000 noughts, all zeros. 18:22 It's crazy. 18:25 Forty thousand noughts after it. 18:29 But the Bible says 18:30 something completely different to this. 18:33 It says, it wasn't a case of randomness. 18:35 It says this. 18:37 "In the beginning, 18:39 God created the heavens and the earth." 18:45 So the Bible says, it was a time 18:48 when there was no time. 18:50 There was a time when there was no universe. 18:52 And it says, "In the beginning, 18:55 God created the heavens and the earth." 18:58 Look at this, my friend. 19:00 This is the greatest statement 19:02 that has ever been made 19:04 in the history of the human race. 19:07 And there's another great statement 19:08 is Genesis 1:26-27, 19:11 written by the same author. 19:15 I want you to notice it, Genesis 1:26-27. 19:20 Let it sink down into the molecules of your mind. 19:23 "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, 19:29 according to Our likeness, 19:32 let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, 19:36 over the birds of the air, 19:38 and over the castle, over all the earth, 19:42 and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 19:45 Listen, watch. 19:46 "So God created man in His own image, 19:51 in the image of God, He created him, 19:54 male and female, He created them." 19:58 The Bible tells me, I am not a son of the slime. 20:04 I didn't come down from the trees. 20:07 I came down from the stars. 20:09 As I told so many Russian atheists 20:12 and the professors at Moscow University, 20:16 you are important. 20:18 You are precious. 20:20 Every life is tremendously important 20:22 because you are not just a thing. 20:25 You are a child of God. 20:30 So you see, I want you to know this. 20:35 Don't let anybody puts you down. 20:38 Don't let anybody say to you life is chaos 20:42 and just full of randomness. 20:44 And there's no meaning to life. 20:46 Don't be sucked into that deception, my friend. 20:52 The proof of the matter is this. 20:55 There was a point of creation, that is a scientific fact. 20:59 That is not an opinion, brother, sister. 21:04 And not only did God make this universe, 21:07 He made you and He made you distinct and glorious. 21:13 And around the world as people accept this truth, 21:16 they become reenergized. 21:18 They have a new outlook on life, 21:21 they become filled with optimism, 21:24 because they realize they came from the hand of God, 21:27 and by the grace of God, 21:29 one day they will go back to God. 21:32 You are important. 21:33 God has a plan for your life. 21:37 Are you listening to me today? 21:40 Can you hear this? 21:42 You think that you lost it all alone? 21:46 Nobody cares about you. 21:47 I've got a message for you. 21:49 You are important. 21:52 God made you, 21:54 the God who made the stars made you. 21:59 Now, today, are you still listening? 22:04 Here it comes, I'm going to give you 22:06 some evidence that demands a verdict. 22:10 It's not theological evidence, it is scientific evidence. 22:14 Now some people say like Richard Dawkins, 22:17 you've got faith, I've got evidence. 22:18 No, my friend, I've got a faith that is built upon evidence. 22:22 I don't have faith in faith. 22:24 I have faith in the evidence. 22:26 I have a faith that is built upon fact. 22:30 It's not just an opinion. 22:32 In a court case, you hear the evidence, 22:35 then you decide on the basis of the evidence, 22:37 you give the verdict, I want you to give the verdict. 22:40 I want you to notice now in this program, 22:43 the evidence for God from the world of science. 22:48 I want you to hear the evidence, 22:50 render your verdict. 22:51 The court is now in session. 22:56 Are you ready, my friend? 22:59 The court is now in session, 23:02 the evidence for the Creator God. 23:07 Evidence number one, this is pretty amazing. 23:11 When I first heard this, 23:13 I just couldn't believe it, but it's true. 23:16 Evidence number one, are you ready for this? 23:20 You got to put on your thinking caps. 23:22 And today, I'm appealing to the intellect in here. 23:27 I'm appealing to your intellect. 23:30 And we're going to give you reasons 23:32 why you can believe. 23:33 Evidence number one, 23:35 I'm going to give you three pieces of evidence 23:37 that will blow you away. 23:39 Evidence number one, 23:41 the "Magic" Balance of the Big Four. 23:47 What on earth am I talking about? 23:49 Evidence number one, 23:50 the "Magic" Balance of the Big Four. 23:53 Listen, a millisecond after the point of creation 23:58 that scientists called the Big Bang. 24:01 They said it happened 13.8 billion years ago. 24:05 That's relatively recent. 24:07 As far as the Creator God is concerned, 24:10 because He has no beginning and He has no end. 24:14 Four great forces came into being, gravity, 24:19 the strong nuclear force, 24:22 the weak nuclear force, and electromagnetism. 24:28 I'm gonna say this again, because this is pretty amazing. 24:32 One millisecond after the point of creation, 24:36 after this tremendous explosion 24:38 that created the cosmos, 24:41 four great forces came into being, 24:45 I believe, created by Almighty God. 24:50 These forces had not existed before. 24:52 Without those forces, you wouldn't exist now. 24:56 Gravity, strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force, 25:01 and electromagnetism. 25:05 Now listen, these forces 25:08 hold the universe together. 25:11 And there's something quite amazing about these forces. 25:16 And if these forces were not balanced 25:19 to a degree of one hundredth, 25:21 well, I'll tell you that in a moment. 25:24 But we're just going to take a little tiny break, 25:27 so you can digest what you've heard so far, 25:30 because I know I'm giving you plenty of solid stuff. 25:34 But stay with me, 25:35 as we talk about evidence for God, 25:40 not from a church 25:42 but from the world of science, 25:46 hard called facts, 25:49 not opinions, but facts. 25:53 Stay with me. We'll be back soon. 26:07 The Word began in a village. 26:10 Churches and schools sprang up and multiplied, 26:15 reaching into the city. 26:18 Great truths revealed 26:20 to the people of Papua New Guinea, 26:23 changing thousands of lives. 26:26 Our eyes are going to be 26:28 opened to the discovery of amazing truths. 26:33 The greatest truth in the Bible, 26:35 it is the truth that God loves you. 26:39 It has completely changed my life, 26:40 and I'm going to be baptized this Sabbath. 26:43 Pastor Carter has put something in my heart 26:45 that I will never forget. 26:47 Thank you, Pastor Carter, for your program. 26:49 It has changed my life completely. 26:51 John Carter's Great Truths Revealed 26:53 was recorded live from Papua New Guinea. 26:55 Experience the miracles 26:57 in this 21 DVD series 26:59 for a gift of $150 US or $210 AUS. 27:03 To order, visit our website or call. 27:08 You can now find the Carter Report anywhere, 27:12 anytime on any Android or Apple device. 27:16 Use your cell phone, tablet, computer or TV 27:22 to access the many inspirational messages 27:25 from Pastor Carter, 24/7. 27:28 For Apple users, go to the App Store. 27:31 For Android users, go to Google Play 27:34 and download the free Carter Report app. 27:39 The Carter Report 27:40 also has an official YouTube and Vimeo channel. 27:44 Search for the Carter Report 27:46 and find the topic that speaks to you. 27:49 Roku users, simply search for the Carter Report 27:52 and download the app free. 27:54 The same on Amazon Fire. 27:56 For Apple TV, visit the App Store 27:59 and download the app. 28:00 Reach out to the Carter Report and experience the hope, 28:04 faith and love of Jesus Christ. 28:11 For a copy of today's program, 28:13 please contact us at P.O.
