00:01 This teaching was part of a series
00:03 meant for the Manila programs. 00:05 Because of COVID-19, 00:07 John Carter now brings this message 00:09 from his Los Angeles studio. 00:12 Visitors from other worlds, 00:14 opens up fascinating information 00:16 about the wonders of the universe. 00:19 Here is John Carter. 00:22 Hi, friend. 00:23 Welcome back to this terrific program 00:25 on our amazing universe, 00:27 and visitors from other worlds. 00:29 Now, we're going to have a little recap 00:31 on what I spoke about in the first section. 00:33 When the universe came into being 00:35 through this tremendous explosion. 00:38 And most scientists said 00:39 it happened many, many, many years ago. 00:41 They say 13.8 billion years ago. 00:46 That's only relatively recently in the history of God. 00:50 But scientists tell us and every scientist believes 00:53 that Richard Dawkins, the great atheist, 00:55 the high priest of atheism around the world today. 00:58 There were four great forces that came into existence. 01:03 Now listen carefully. 01:05 I want you to come with me. 01:06 Okay? 01:07 Here it is. 01:09 The "Magic" Balance of the Big Four. 01:11 We're not talking about the Russians 01:12 or the Americans or somebody else. 01:14 We're talking about the four great forces 01:17 that hold the universe together. 01:20 Gravity, the strong nuclear force, 01:22 the weak nuclear force, and electromagnetism. 01:26 They came into being in a millisecond, 01:29 just a millisecond 01:30 after the creation of the cosmos. 01:32 Now, listen to this. 01:34 Listen, listen to this. This is not my opinion. 01:37 If these forces had been out of balance, 01:40 or out of sync 01:43 by one quadrillionth of a quadrillionth, 01:46 or trillionth of a trillionth, 01:48 this is the figure, don't ask me to say it. 01:51 But there is a magical balance here, 01:54 there is an amazing fine tuning of the universe. 02:00 If this fine tuning did not exist, 02:03 my brother, my sister, 02:04 the whole universe would have exploded or imploded 02:09 and you tell me, it just happened by chance. 02:12 Hey, you say, it just happened by chance. 02:15 That is the greatest statement of faith I've ever heard. 02:18 Listen, this extreme fine tuning 02:23 is like hitting a bull's eye on earth with an arrow 02:28 from out in space 02:29 a trillion, trillion, trillion miles away. 02:33 You say, "It's impossible." 02:34 Absolutely. 02:36 And it's absolutely impossible 02:38 that this fine tuning could exist 02:41 in the universe without, wait for it, 02:43 without a fine tuner. 02:49 The fine tuning of the universe 02:52 calls for a fine tuner. 02:56 By chance, it is impossible. 02:59 It is my atheistic friend whom I love. 03:02 It would require 03:04 the intelligence guidance and activity 03:06 of a mighty designer and creator. 03:10 Design demands a designer. 03:14 Fine tuning demands a fine tuner. 03:18 The universe is fine tuned to one point 03:21 in a trillion, trillion, trillion. 03:23 And this is overwhelming evidence 03:25 of a mighty Creator God. 03:26 And when I spoke to the professors 03:28 at Moscow University, 03:30 they said in so many words, amen, it is true. 03:34 How could this just happen? 03:36 This tells you 03:38 why so many atheistic scientists 03:39 have become believers, 03:41 not because of the opinions 03:43 but because of the force of the facts. 03:47 You know, the story of the Arab out in the desert, 03:51 looking after an Englishman. 03:54 And in the morning they got up, 03:56 and the Arab walked outside and he said, 03:59 "A camel passed this way last night." 04:01 The Englishman said, "How do you know?" 04:04 He said, "It's very simple. 04:05 He left his footprints in the sand." 04:09 Here is the evidence. 04:11 Here is the evidence, the footprints in the sand. 04:14 I want to tell you, 04:15 the Almighty Creator God 04:17 has left His footprints in the heavens. 04:20 He is the great fine tuner. 04:25 Listen to this. 04:27 I'm asking you to believe, not the basis of blind faith, 04:31 but on the basis of the evidence. 04:33 The evidence tells me this, 04:35 the universe was designed and it operates for you. 04:41 You are important. 04:43 God has a plan for your life. 04:45 Everything exists. 04:47 Listen, listen, 04:48 everything exists for your happiness. 04:52 This is not my opinion, this is the truth. 04:56 Now, evidence number two. 04:57 Got something here which is quite tiny. 05:00 Put it in my pocket. I couldn't find it. 05:02 This is an American dime. 05:06 Want to say to my Aussie friends 05:07 down there down under. 05:09 You can compare it to say, 05:11 a five cent piece if they still make them. 05:13 Look at the thing. 05:15 I'm gonna, gonna try to hold it very steady. 05:18 So you can all see this tiny little dime. 05:23 It doesn't have much mass, does it? 05:26 It's a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny little dime. 05:31 Listen to this. 05:34 If the mass of the universe, 05:38 I don't know if you're gonna believe this, 05:41 but I'm gonna tell it to you because it's a fact, 05:43 it's not my opinion. 05:45 If the mass of the universe 05:48 were increased or decreased by the mass of this dime, 05:55 we would all die. 05:56 The universe would either explode 05:58 or implode, 06:00 and there would be nothing left on planet earth. 06:03 You say, "I don't believe this. 06:04 You lost me." 06:06 No, I haven't lost you at all. 06:07 If the mass of the universe 06:09 were increased or decreased by the mass of a dime, 06:13 there would be no universe. 06:16 Now, how big is the universe? 06:19 We now know 06:21 that the universe is composed of 2 trillion galaxies. 06:26 Hey, I've lost myself now. 06:30 Two trillion, how big is that? 06:31 NASA only found this out relatively recently, 06:35 when they discovered that the universe, 06:36 and this is only very recent. 06:38 They discovered that the universe 06:39 was 10 times bigger than they thought it had been. 06:42 They thought it was 200 billion. 06:44 And a few years ago, 06:46 they thought it was 100 billion, 06:47 then 50 billion. 06:48 It gets bigger and bigger. 06:51 Our galaxy is called the Milky Way. 06:57 It's an average sort of galaxy. 07:00 It's 100,000 light years across. 07:02 That means if you traveled at the speed of light 07:04 186,000 miles a second, 07:06 takes you 100,000 light years to get across it. 07:09 We're stuck down here, 07:11 about 30,000 light years 07:14 from the center of the Milky Way system. 07:18 We're stuck down here 07:20 in a spot which is shielded from cosmic radiation. 07:24 It is probably the only spot in the Milky Way system 07:27 that could exist with life on it. 07:30 And this just happened by itself. 07:32 You tell me. 07:34 Well, here is this tremendous, tremendous galaxy. 07:38 And there are trillion of galaxies like this. 07:42 This galaxy, 07:43 the Milky Way is made up of at least 100 billion stars, 07:50 maybe 400 billion stars. 07:53 Just think of the size of this tremendous huge galaxy. 07:59 And there are at least 08:01 2 trillion galaxies like our galaxy. 08:05 How much mass is that? 08:07 How big is that? 08:09 How huge is that? 08:11 How much mass is that? 08:13 Listen to me, this is a fact. 08:17 You could say, I'm not gonna believe it. 08:18 Well, you don't have to believe, 08:20 but what I'm telling you is true. 08:21 It's a fact. 08:23 It's not my opinion. 08:25 If the mass of this vast universe 08:29 with all of these billions of galaxies 08:32 with billions of suns 08:34 were increased or decreased 08:36 by the mass of this tiny little dime, 08:43 the universe would either explode 08:45 or implode. 08:47 But one thing is certain, 08:48 we wouldn't be here to tell you about it. 08:51 There is an amazing, amazing magic balance. 08:58 Now, 09:00 how many stars, 09:03 how many suns in the universe? 09:08 It's a huge number. 09:09 You can't say it. 09:12 But we're going to do something just for fun. 09:14 We're going to put up a figure here. 09:17 We say, the top figure 09:19 is the number of suns in our galaxy, 09:22 we call it the Milky Way system. 09:25 And then in the universe, we have 2 trillion. 09:29 Sounds like the debt of the federal government. 09:31 You have 2 trillion galaxies. 09:36 And the more they look, the more they find. 09:40 In the beginning, God created it all, 09:43 didn't make itself. 09:44 And if you add it up, 09:46 this figure down here would represent approximately 09:50 the number of blazing suns and stars. 09:54 This does not count the comets, or the planets, 09:59 or the black holes. 10:02 Listen, it's vast, it's incomprehensible. 10:08 Look at this. 10:10 It's a mass of this vast. 10:12 You say, "I can't see it, can't believe it." 10:13 But just hold on with me, please. 10:16 I'm not telling you my opinion. 10:17 I'm giving you scientific fact. 10:19 If the mass of this vast, vast cosmos, 10:23 this vast universe 10:25 were increased or decreased by the mass of this dime, 10:30 look how little it is, 10:34 there'd be no life. 10:36 There'd be no universe. 10:38 It would blow up. 10:41 It would either explode or implode. 10:46 Listen, how much mass, 10:48 remember at the mass of a dime and it's all over. 10:53 Think about it. Stretch your mind. 10:56 Add this and it's all over. 10:58 Did this happen by chance? 10:59 The atheists says, "All happened by chance." 11:02 That's a great statement of faith. 11:04 That's not science. That's faith and a false faith. 11:08 This extreme fine tuning demands a fine tuner. 11:13 Design demands a designer, and almighty, all powerful God. 11:18 There is not one chance 11:20 in a billion, billion, billion, trillion 11:23 that this could have happened by blind chance, 11:26 I'm telling you. 11:28 On one occasion, 11:30 Napoleon Bonaparte was out on the sea 11:32 with some of his men on a ship. 11:35 And they started, 11:37 this is the time of the French Revolution 11:39 when they had voted God out, 11:41 but they hadn't asked God, of course, 11:44 but they voted God out in the French Revolution. 11:47 And the officer said, 11:49 "Monsieur, do you think there's a God?" 11:51 And Napoleon flung his arm to the heavens and he said, 11:56 "Gentleman, if there is no God, 12:01 who made the stars?" 12:05 That is the question for the atheist 12:07 in his quiet moments, 12:09 if there is no God, who made the stars. 12:15 Let me share you some texts now 12:17 out of this amazing book, the Bible. 12:19 Hebrews 11:3, these are amazing verses. 12:24 "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed 12:28 by the word of God, 12:30 so the things which are seen 12:32 were not made of things which are visible." 12:35 This teaches creation out of nothing, 12:39 exactly what science now believes. 12:42 Psalm 33:6. 12:46 Amazing statement, it goes back 3000 years ago. 12:49 "By the word of the Lord, the heavens were made, 12:53 and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." 12:57 The energy of God. 13:00 Here's another verse, is verse 9. 13:03 Psalm 33:9, "For He spoke..." 13:08 Look at these words. 13:09 "For He spoke and it was done, 13:12 He commanded, and it stood fast." 13:15 God spoke the universe into existence. 13:19 God's energy was translated. 13:22 God's power was translated into the cosmos. 13:26 How big is God? 13:28 Well, He's big enough for you friend. 13:30 There's evidence number two. 13:32 A dime could kill us all. 13:34 If the universe had this added to it 13:38 from outside, there'd be nothing. 13:41 It's fine tuning to an incredible degree. 13:47 If the mass of the universe 13:48 were increased or decreased by the mass of a dime, 13:51 there would be no universe, 13:52 no stars, no sun, no solar system, 13:55 no earth and no humans. 13:56 Scientists call this the anthropic principle. 13:59 It comes from the word anthropos, 14:01 which means human. 14:04 It means that everything in the universe, 14:06 everything was made for you. 14:09 You say, "I don't believe it." 14:11 Well, you don't have to believe it, 14:12 but it happens to be the truth. 14:14 We're not here to talk about my opinion. 14:16 We're here to talk about the facts. 14:19 God is, He made you, you are important. 14:22 Everything exists for your happiness. 14:24 The universe was designed and operates for you. 14:28 You're important. 14:30 Now evidence number three, and this is mind-boggling. 14:34 I wonder whether I should try even to put this up. 14:38 Evidence number three. 14:41 Super fine-tuned invisible powers 14:46 keep us alive. 14:48 These powers are called, wait for it, 14:51 they're called dark matter and dark energy, 14:56 and they comprise more than 99% of the universe. 15:02 If you ever heard about this, this is amazing. 15:08 Here's a letter that I received from a great scientist, 15:11 Dr. Hugh Ross. 15:13 Let me read it to you just a bit out of his letter. 15:15 "The latest measurements reveal that dark energy comprises 15:19 70.7% of all the stuff in the universe. 15:23 Matter makes up the remaining 29.3%. 15:27 Dark energy and exotic dark matter 15:29 and ordinary dark matter equal 99.73% of the universe. 15:35 The galaxies, now listen to this. 15:37 This is in fact. 15:38 The galaxies, stars and luminous gas 15:42 we see through telescopes are just 0.2% of the universe. 15:49 You say, "Why don't we get bigger telescopes, 15:51 we'll see it all." 15:52 No, you can't see this stuff. 15:55 All those trillions 15:56 and trillions and trillions of galaxies, 15:59 my friend, are only zero, what is it? 16:04 Just about a quarter of 1% says Dr. Hugh Ross, 16:08 astronomer, astrophysicist, acclaimed author, 16:11 Christian apologist, 16:12 former agnostic president of Reasons to Believe. 16:17 We're talking here about reasons 16:19 why you can believe in the God who believes in you. 16:25 So what we can see... 16:28 Got so much stuff. 16:29 Look at this cake. 16:31 This is the universe cake. 16:34 This represents the dark energy, 16:36 the exotic dark matter, ordinary dark matter. 16:40 And this little yellow bit here 16:42 is all we can see of the universe. 16:46 Some people say, "Well, if we got better telescopes." 16:49 No, no, you can't see it, my friend, 16:51 because it is made up of this mysterious stuff, 16:55 which is called dark energy and dark matter. 16:59 And the dark energy is stuff that is driving, 17:04 wait for this, 17:05 it is driving the expansion of the universe 17:08 that makes possible life on this planet. 17:12 Now, I'm going to tell you something. 17:14 This dark stuff, nobody knows what it really is. 17:17 They've only recently discovered it. 17:20 Is fine tuned to one part in a trillion, of a trillion, 17:23 of a trillionth, of a trillion of... 17:27 It demands a fine tuner. 17:30 He is the Almighty Creator God of the universe. 17:32 This didn't happen by itself. 17:35 There is not one chance in a trillion, trillion 17:37 that this could have happened by chance. 17:40 Remember the story I told you 17:42 about the arrow hitting the bull's eye 17:44 from a trillion miles out in space? 17:46 It's absolutely impossible. 17:49 The extreme fine tuning of the universe 17:52 proves that there is 17:56 a mighty super intelligent Creator. 17:59 It is fine tuned to one part 18:02 in a trillion, of a trillion, of a trillion. 18:06 I'm telling you, my friend, 18:08 we're not talking here, blind faith. 18:10 We're not just telling you religion today. 18:13 We are talking here scientific fact 18:16 that gives us reason to have an intelligent faith. 18:21 I think you know the story, don't you after 747? 18:26 It is a great plane. 18:28 Oh, the 787 which is my favorite plane. 18:31 You can imagine, 18:33 I want you to imagine there's a big storehouse, 18:35 and it's got millions and millions of pieces 18:37 that make up this mighty plane, 18:40 the queen of the skies. 18:42 They're all pack there on shelves, 18:44 and a tremendous tornado comes out of nowhere, 18:47 and it picks up all those pieces 18:49 and it throws them up into the heavens, 18:53 and they come down perfectly put together 18:56 as a mighty, jumbo jet. 18:58 You say, "That's absurd." 19:01 You got to have organization. 19:04 You've got to have engineers. 19:07 You got to have people working. 19:09 I want to tell you, 19:10 we need a Creator who created the Dreamliner. 19:13 We need a dreamer to make the Dreamliner. 19:17 And we need a God to make the universe. 19:20 Look at Genesis 1:1 again. 19:22 Here is the text. 19:23 "In the beginning, 19:26 God created the heavens and the earth." 19:29 He is the dreamer. 19:31 He is the dreamer. 19:36 Our universe we know is expanding. 19:39 The universe 19:40 is 150 billion light years across, 19:44 I can't understand that. 19:46 The age of the universe, it is very, very old. 19:49 It came into being in a flash of light and energy, 19:54 but the Bible tells me 19:55 that there is another field that we cannot see. 20:00 Jesus spoke about the Father's house. 20:04 He spoke about people going one day 20:06 at last to the Father's house. 20:09 There is another field, another dimension, 20:16 maybe made up of billions of universes 20:20 beside our own. 20:23 This is alluded to in the scriptures. 20:25 Listen to this. 20:27 Want to say this, really plain. 20:29 The whole universe with its super fine tuning 20:31 the amazing wonders of its operation. 20:34 Everything tells us there is a God who made us. 20:38 Therefore you are tremendously important. 20:41 God made it for you. 20:42 God loves you. He cares for you. 20:45 Now the Bible that I believe in, 20:49 I believe the Bible fully. 20:51 I believe the Bible tells us 20:54 the only rational true understanding 20:57 of the creation of the cosmos. 20:59 I don't believe in blind force. 21:01 Can't believe that stuff. 21:03 I don't have enough faith. 21:05 But when Jesus rose from the dead, 21:07 the Bible says 21:08 He went to His Father's house which is beyond our cosmos, 21:12 and He will return to this planet 21:14 that is about to destroy itself. 21:16 And here is a tremendous passage 21:18 from the lips of Christ, the Creator. 21:21 John 14:1-3, Jesus said, 21:26 "Let not your hearts be troubled, " 21:27 don't worry, you're important, 21:29 "you believe in God, believe also in Me. 21:30 In My Father's house," 21:32 beyond the cosmos, 21:33 "are many mansions, 21:35 if it were not so, I would have told you. 21:36 I go to prepare a place for you. 21:38 And if I go and prepare a place for you, 21:40 I will come again and receive you to Myself, 21:43 that where I am, then you may be also." 21:46 Listen to me. 21:48 Jesus Christ, the great logos, 21:51 the great creator of the cosmos, 21:54 the great fine tuner, 21:55 the great master designer 21:57 said He is going to go to His Father's house, 21:59 but He said, I'm going to come back 22:02 and I'm going to make all things new. 22:06 And He's going to be accompanied 22:08 by celestial beings. 22:11 Let me give you a few texts on this. 22:13 Nehemiah 9:6. 22:15 He's coming back with super natural beings. 22:19 "You alone are the Lord, You made the heavens, 22:22 the heavens of heavens, with all their host, 22:24 the earth and everything on it, 22:27 the seas and all that is in them, 22:29 and You preserved them all. 22:32 The host of heaven worships you." 22:35 There are beings beyond our dimension. 22:39 The Bible teaches who worship God, 22:42 they are called in the scriptures, 22:45 the messengers. 22:47 Another text, Revelation 12:12. 22:50 Revelation 12, "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, 22:54 and you who dwell in them! 22:56 Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! 22:58 For the devil has come down to you, 23:00 having great wrath, 23:02 because he knows that he has but a short time." 23:04 But it talks about the heavens 23:06 and it talks about the beings who inhabit the heavens. 23:11 Matthew 25:31, mind-blowing text. 23:16 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, 23:19 and all the holy angels, the messengers with Him, 23:23 then He will sit on the throne of His glory." 23:27 The Bible teaches that the all... 23:30 Now this is gonna blow you away, 23:32 but it's the truth. 23:34 The Bible teaches 23:35 that the Almighty God who made the cosmos, 23:37 He made it out of nothing. 23:39 The Almighty God, the fantastic Creator, 23:43 who made everything, the great fine tuner, 23:47 the great master designer, 23:51 the God who fine tuned 23:52 to one trillionth of a trillionth, 23:54 of a trillionth, 23:55 the God of the dime. 23:59 The Bible teaches 24:01 this Almighty God in Jesus Christ 24:03 who became a man 24:05 is going to come back to this earth 24:07 and save His people who believe in Him. 24:11 He said, "I will come again." 24:15 So I believe, if the God who made it all 24:17 is going to come back to this planet. 24:19 I believe in the return of the Creator of the cosmos 24:24 to save His creatures. 24:28 We've got a great need. 24:30 It's to get to know the Creator 24:32 and accept His Son Jesus Christ. 24:35 We need to have a supernatural experience. 24:39 And we need to have a faith that is based upon the facts, 24:43 not just upon our feelings, like a young G.I. 24:46 in the last World War had. 24:50 He was in a foxhole all alone. 24:52 He'd been brought up an atheist. 24:55 They found this on his body. 24:56 The next morning, he wrote, 24:58 "Lord God, I've never spoken to you, 25:00 but now I want to say how do you do? 25:02 You see God they told me you didn't exist, 25:04 and like a fool I believed all this. 25:08 Last night from a shell hole I saw your sky. 25:11 I figured right then they told me a lie. 25:14 Had I taken time to see things you've made. 25:16 I'd have known 25:18 they weren't calling a spade a spade. 25:21 I wonder God if you will take my hand? 25:23 Somehow I feel that you will understand. 25:27 Funny how I had to come to this hellish place, 25:30 before I had time to see your face. 25:33 Well, I guess there isn't much more to say. 25:36 But I'm sure glad God, I met you today. 25:40 I guess zero hour will soon be here. 25:43 But I'm not afraid since I know you're near. 25:47 The signal, well, God I have to go. 25:49 I like you lots, I want you to know. 25:53 Look now this'll be a horrible fight. 25:56 Who knows, 25:57 I may come to your house tonight. 25:59 Though I wasn't friendly to you before, 26:01 I wonder God if you'd waited at your door. 26:05 Look, I'm crying. 26:06 Me, shedding tears. 26:07 I wish I had known you these many years. 26:10 Well, I have to go now God, goodbye. 26:12 Strange now since I've met you, 26:14 I'm not afraid to die." 26:16 Listen to me. 26:19 When you meet the God of the stars, 26:22 the great creator, the great fine tuner, 26:25 His name is Jesus Christ, 26:27 who came down from the third heaven, 26:32 from beyond our cosmos and died for our sins. 26:35 He's going to come back 26:37 and He's going to come back and say these people. 26:41 When you meet the God of the stars, 26:44 you won't be afraid to die 26:47 because you will know that the Creator loves you, 26:52 and you are important. 26:59 You can now find the Carter Report anywhere, 27:02 anytime on any Android or Apple device. 27:07 Use your cell phone, tablet, computer or TV 27:12 to access the many inspirational messages 27:15 from Pastor Carter, 24/7. 27:18 For Apple users, go to the App Store. 27:21 For Android users, go to Google Play 27:24 and download the free Carter Report app. 27:29 The Carter Report 27:30 also has an official YouTube and Vimeo channel. 27:35 Search for the Carter Report 27:36 and find the topic that speaks to you. 27:39 Roku users, simply search 27:40 for the Carter Report and download the app free. 27:44 The same on Amazon Fire. 27:46 For Apple TV, 27:48 visit the App Store and download the app. 27:50 Reach out to the Carter Report and experience the hope, 27:54 faith and love of Jesus Christ. 28:01 For a copy of today's program, 28:03 please contact us at P.O.
