00:01 Welcome back to part two of Lex Rex,
00:03 the inhumanity of humanism. 00:06 In part two of this program, 00:09 Pastor Carter tells us the identity of Lex Rex. 00:13 What can stand against the propaganda 00:16 of politically correct behavior in our societies? 00:19 Who can bring the voice of reason, 00:21 hope and clarity to a confused world? 00:25 How do we fight the agenda of atheism 00:28 and the death of God 00:30 before it leads to the death of man? 00:32 Here is Pastor John Carter to answer all these questions. 00:41 "Has humanism taken over everything? 00:44 What about art and culture?" 00:49 Wayne, these are great questions 00:51 you're asking me. 00:53 Look at modern art. 00:56 No rules, completely bizarre. 01:00 Mind at the end of its tether. 01:04 Look at punk rock. 01:06 Listen, listen to it. 01:08 No, no, no, don't listen to, but if you do listen to it, 01:12 the hopelessness, the despair, 01:14 the violence, the putting down of women. 01:19 You see, Darwin without trying to do so, 01:23 Charles Darwin who wanted to be an Anglican pastor. 01:28 Through the doctrine of evolution 01:30 did away with God. 01:33 Nietzsche seized upon the idea 01:36 and made the bold proclamation, God is dead. 01:40 You know his big fan, don't you? 01:43 Nietzsche. 01:45 Well, the young people in the universities know, 01:47 mom and dad, grandpa, grandma, they know. 01:52 Hitler just loved Nietzsche. 01:57 He embraced the teachings of Darwinism and Nietzsche, 02:00 and it spawned the Third Reich. 02:04 People say, is this really? 02:05 Yes, it is true. 02:08 Now today, we have, we think we've got rid of the Nazis 02:13 and these terrible dictatorships, 02:15 but we're breeding humanists, 02:20 and humanists are destroying America 02:23 and your children 02:24 exactly the same as the humanists 02:27 destroyed Russia and murdered 02:29 70 or 80 million innocent people. 02:34 How do I know? 02:37 Because I've been to those places. 02:39 I've seen the results of humanism. 02:44 This is the truth. 02:47 "Who is this Lex Rex you keep teasing us with?" 02:54 But I'm gonna get to him soon. 02:57 Lex Rex, he's the hope of civilization, 03:01 the hope of your family, the hope of your country, 03:04 the hope of the Senate, the Congress, 03:06 the White House. 03:07 But they don't seem to be listening, do they? 03:13 Lex Rex, Latin Lex-Law, 03:17 Rex-King. 03:22 The law is king. What does it mean? 03:24 Well, I'll talk about it as we go along. 03:27 But let me tell you this. 03:29 The greatest threat to the nation 03:31 of the United States of America, 03:33 don't want to offend anybody. 03:35 I'm going to tell it to you the greatest threat 03:38 is ignorance. 03:42 Many people, most people, even Christians are not aware 03:45 of what is happening today in the schools. 03:50 They're not aware of this all pervading philosophy 03:54 that has overtaken the government. 03:58 The tens of millions of babies 04:01 that have been killed. 04:05 The depreciation of the value of human beings. 04:12 So we see today, 04:14 the reign of this new philosophy, 04:18 and we see young people filled with despair. 04:21 You see the hope, the death of hope 04:24 leads to the hope for death. 04:27 I was in Moscow when communism was collapsing. 04:30 And a man came up to me out of this big crowd of people 04:33 and he said in English, 04:35 "This is the hell we have created. 04:40 Humanism, 04:41 atheism created a hell 04:46 and now we're swallowing the same poison." 04:49 Hey, maybe not communism, 04:51 but was swallowing the same poison 04:54 that spawned communism, Nazism, 04:59 and everything else, humanism, 05:03 no God, and man is the center of things. 05:07 Believe me, this is the truth. 05:11 This is the new religion. 05:14 This explains all things, 05:16 why are our cities burning in America? 05:19 Why the lawlessness? 05:21 Why the anarchy? 05:24 Why the craziness? 05:26 Why the violence? 05:29 Well, the death of God 05:30 always leads to the death of man. 05:32 And humanism has got rid of God. 05:37 And the great purveyors 05:38 of this spiritual evil 05:43 are the great educational institutions 05:46 and the great media networks. 05:48 That's why we need Lex Rex, but he's coming. 05:52 He's coming to save us. 05:56 "What is causing the world to lose hope?" 06:03 Well, I've been making a lot of promises, 06:05 haven't I, Wayne? 06:08 I've been talking to you about the need for Lex Rex. 06:11 I've been talking about the great new religion 06:14 that is sweeping the world. 06:18 Now because of the COVID crisis, 06:20 I am now marooned here 06:22 in Australia in this house here. 06:28 We're doing this program 06:29 because we're not going to have our voices silenced. 06:33 But Australia has successfully dealt 06:36 largely with the COVID-19 crisis. 06:40 God help us. 06:41 But the vaccinations are terribly slow. 06:46 And because the vaccinations have been terribly slow, 06:49 the borders are sealed. 06:52 So I'm trying to get back. 06:53 We're trying to get back, 06:55 but you can't do what you can't do. 06:56 Sometimes you just got to say, 06:58 I'm going to leave it in the hands of God. 07:02 We can fasten, we can fret in. 07:04 I do that on occasions. 07:06 But I've just got to leave it in the hands of God, 07:10 and believe that God is going to show us 07:12 and God is going to help us, 07:13 because we believe in God, 07:16 we believe in the providence of God, we believe. 07:19 Listen to me, 07:21 we believe in the Lordship of Christ. 07:24 That's why I'm so much opposed to this humanism. 07:28 That's why I'm so much opposed 07:29 what's happening in the schools. 07:33 That's why my heart is just bleeding 07:36 when I meet so many young people, 07:38 and they've got no purpose. 07:42 Got no meaning in their lives. 07:43 That's what they've been taught. 07:45 I know of a young man who went to Sydney University, 07:48 and his professor taught him this. 07:50 He said, "The only decision 07:51 you've got to make is this, get up in the morning." 07:55 He said, "What you do with the rest of your life 07:57 and the rest of your day, it doesn't matter at all. 08:00 Because there's no right and there's no wrong, 08:02 there's no up and there's no down. 08:06 All you got to do is get up in the morning." 08:08 That's what he was taught in Sydney University. 08:14 And Sydney University echoes 08:16 what is being taught in every other university, 08:19 like Oxford University, Harvard University, 08:23 Princeton University. 08:27 I've spoken to so many of the other students 08:30 who come out of these places. 08:33 They go in with relatively pure minds 08:36 that their minds are filled with a poison 08:41 of hopelessness, the poison of humanism. 08:46 You see, 08:47 the Christian principle is this. 08:49 And I've spent my life teaching this. 08:52 I know what I'm talking about. 08:53 The Christian principle is this, 08:56 that there is a God. 08:58 In the beginning, 08:59 God created the heavens and the earth. 09:02 We came from the hand of God. 09:06 Man is distinct and glorious as they want us to say. 09:10 Man is made in the image of God. 09:12 God created man in His own image. 09:15 Male and female He created them. 09:19 That's what He did, male and female. 09:21 Hey, let's get in old fashion, isn't it? 09:25 Humanism starting to teach now, 09:27 hey, yes, there's male and female, 09:28 but there's everything in between 09:30 and how many sexes are there? 09:32 Hey, little boys don't know if they're little boys anymore, 09:35 little girls don't know 09:36 if they're little girls anymore. 09:38 And men are becoming women, women are becoming men. 09:43 You got everything in between. 09:45 There is this great confusion. 09:49 It's like the Tower of Babel. 09:51 You know what Babel means, don't you? 09:54 It means confusion, Babylon, Babel, 09:59 you talk about a Babylon voices, 10:02 babble, babble, babble. 10:05 That's what's happening in the world today. 10:07 There is confusion. 10:09 The Tower of Babel occurred 10:12 when men got away from God and they said, 10:14 "We're gonna build us a big tower up to heaven, 10:17 and we're going to be God." 10:22 And when man put himself in the place of God, 10:25 Wayne, and my distinguished audience, 10:29 when man put himself in the place of God, 10:32 man committed suicide. 10:37 And that's why we've got this pandemic of drug taking. 10:40 Why not? 10:42 There's no purpose. 10:43 There's no meaning. 10:44 As one man once said to me, 10:47 "I might as well just kill myself." 10:49 And he said, "I'm afraid to do it." 10:53 Humanism. 10:54 Okay. 10:56 I told you, I'm going to tell you about Lex Rex. 10:59 Okay. 11:00 I think the time has come. 11:02 You ready for it? 11:03 Lex is Latin for law. 11:08 Rex is Latin for king. 11:13 Lex Rex means 11:15 the law is the king. 11:20 You see, a few 100 years ago in Europe, 11:22 in Great Britain and other countries, 11:24 they believed that the king was the law. 11:29 The government was the law. 11:32 They call it the divine right of kings. 11:35 The American said after it, we've had enough of this stuff. 11:41 You see, all these nations were ruled, 11:44 and the Russians and everybody 11:46 by the concept of Rex Lex. 11:51 Don't want to make this too difficult. 11:52 Rex. 11:54 The king is the law. 11:57 The government is the law. 11:59 The Supreme Court is the law. 12:02 Man is the law. 12:04 You're the law. 12:07 Then there came along a preacher. 12:10 Some preachers have been rather pesky fellows 12:13 because they've stirred up society. 12:18 This man was Samuel Rutherford. 12:22 Remember that name, Samuel Rutherford, 12:25 the Dean of St. Andrews University 12:28 in Scotland. 12:29 King Charles tried to impose 12:32 papal rule upon the nation. 12:36 He taught, did King Charles, 12:38 all the British kings and everybody else, 12:42 Rex Lex, the king talks. 12:44 That's the law. 12:48 And so this Samuel Rutherford, 12:52 a minister of the gospel and a Protestant. 12:55 You need to understand this. 12:57 He was a Protestant. 13:00 He said, "No, no, no Lex Rex, 13:04 the law is the king." 13:08 And when he said the law, he meant the law of God. 13:14 The law of God is the king. 13:18 Well, that got people very, very mad. 13:22 His book, 13:23 Lex Rex was burned in Scotland and England. 13:28 And the only thing that stopped him 13:30 from being put to death 13:31 was that he died of natural causes 13:33 before they can come and take him away. 13:35 But listen to this. 13:37 I want you to hear this. 13:41 The philosophy contained in that book, the truth, 13:45 Lex Rex, the law of God is the king. 13:49 It got over to America. 13:53 And it was the inspiration for the founding 13:56 of the United States of America. 13:59 What's happened to us, folks? 14:04 "Were the founding fathers of America 14:06 unbelievers and humanists?" 14:11 It is a big, big lie. 14:17 Did I make that plain? 14:19 The founding fathers of the United States of America 14:23 were believers in God. 14:27 They were not humanists, the very opposite. 14:30 Let me read you. 14:31 The Declaration of Independence, 14:33 we ought to know it all by heart. 14:35 "We hold these truths to be self-evident, 14:38 that all men are created equal, 14:40 that they are endowed by their Creator 14:43 with certain unalienable Rights, 14:47 that among these are Life, 14:50 Liberty 14:51 and the pursuit of Happiness." 14:56 America started with belief in God. 14:58 Don't believe the lie that these people 15:01 were not believers, they were believers. 15:04 The Creator has given us these rights, Lex Rex. 15:09 George Washington said, the father of the nation, 15:13 "While we are zealously performing the duties 15:16 of good citizens and soldiers, 15:19 we certainly ought not to be inattentive 15:21 to the higher duties of religion. 15:26 To the distinguished character 15:29 of Patriot, 15:32 it should be our higher glory 15:34 to add the more distinguished character 15:37 of Christian above patriotism," 15:42 said George Washington, the father of the nation, 15:46 above patriotism is Christianity. 15:50 Lex Rex, God's law is the king. 15:55 Thomas Jefferson, 15:57 the third distinguished President 15:58 of the United States of America said this, 16:01 "God who gave us life gave us liberty. 16:05 And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure 16:09 when we have removed their only firm basis, 16:12 a conviction in the minds of the people 16:15 that their liberties are the gift of God?" 16:17 That's what we're doing now. 16:19 We're crucifying God with humanism. 16:25 "That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? 16:28 Indeed, I tremble for my country 16:31 when I reflect that God is just, 16:34 that His justice cannot sleep forever." 16:38 The American Constitution, 16:40 the American nation was based upon 16:42 belief in God. 16:46 That's why America was different from most. 16:49 A letter written by John Page to Thomas Jefferson in 1776, 16:55 after the signing of the Declaration 16:57 of Independence, wrote, 17:00 "An Angel rides in the Whirlwind." 17:04 George Bush quoted this at his inauguration. 17:07 "An Angel rides in the Whirlwind 17:12 and directs this storm." 17:15 He believed, my friend, in the providence of God. 17:20 They believed in Lex Rex, 17:24 not the rule of earthly kings. 17:28 God's law is King, 17:30 that is the foundation stone of America. 17:33 And that's why we must resist the new tyranny. 17:41 "So, the first Americans did believe in Lex Rex, 17:45 and that the law of God was the king." 17:51 The early Americans had escaped tyranny. 17:55 They were not going to accept the divine right of kings. 17:59 They believed in setting up a government that believed 18:04 in the supremacy of God. 18:07 That God was the great law giver. 18:11 That authority goes to God, 18:14 not to any individual. 18:18 They founded a new nation on the foundation 18:20 that God is the supreme authority. 18:22 Now listen to this. 18:24 Not the president, 18:26 not the Supreme Court, 18:30 not the US Senate, not the Congress, 18:35 not the governor, but the supreme authority, 18:39 ultimately, is God. 18:43 John Hancock, 18:44 the first signer of the Declaration 18:46 of Independence, said, 18:48 "Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian 18:51 and social duty of each individual. 18:55 Continue steadfast with a proper sense 18:57 of your dependence on God, 19:00 nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, 19:04 and no man ought to take from us." 19:06 So I say, Lex Rex, 19:09 the law is the king. 19:12 With Danny Shelton, 19:14 I had the privilege of talking 19:15 to Governor Boris Nemtsov years ago, 19:18 when he was governor of the great province 19:20 of Nizhny Novgorod. 19:22 We were under threat and persecution 19:25 from the state church. 19:27 I don't believe in a theocracy. 19:30 I don't believe in a state church. 19:32 You're listening to me? 19:34 But I still believe in the great authority of God. 19:37 I said to the governor, Governor Nemtsov, 19:42 "You don't give the Russian people freedom, 19:46 God gives the Russian people freedom. 19:48 It is your responsibility as the governor to recognize 19:54 what God has given them." 19:57 Authority comes not from the government. 20:01 It comes from God. 20:05 Lex Rex, the law is the king. 20:09 Are you listening to me? 20:15 "What will happen if we give in to humanism?" 20:21 Now let me make this very plain, 20:22 I don't believe in a theocracy, 20:25 neither does the Constitution. 20:27 Look at the First Amendment. 20:29 We ought to know the First Amendment 20:30 off by heart. 20:31 Congress shall make no law, 20:33 concerning the establishment of religion, 20:35 or prohibiting the free exercise 20:37 of that religion. 20:38 We don't believe in a theocracy. 20:43 But having said that, as Americans, 20:48 we believe in the sovereignty of God, 20:51 that freedom flows to the people 20:53 not from the Supreme Court, 20:56 and not from the Senate, 20:58 and certainly not from the White House. 21:01 Our freedoms flow from God, Lex Rex. 21:07 Lex the law, Rex the king. 21:13 Law is the king. 21:14 What are the alternatives? 21:16 Well, humanism and lawlessness, 21:19 humanism, and broken homes and broken hearts. 21:22 Look at America. 21:24 Humanism and hopelessness, humanism and suicide. 21:28 Look at the suicide rates. 21:30 Humanism and despair. 21:32 When are we gonna wake up? 21:34 Humanism and the new tyranny. 21:36 When the humanists get in charge, 21:37 they take away our freedoms. 21:39 They're doing it now. 21:41 Humanism and the deaths of millions of babies, 21:44 they're doing it. 21:46 Humanism and intolerance. 21:49 Think of the lack of freedom of speech on the campuses 21:52 of US universities and colleges. 21:56 You couldn't give this speech on the campus of... 22:01 or the campuses of many US universities, 22:04 because the humanists are so totally intolerant. 22:09 They do believe in freedom of speech 22:11 for themselves, not for you, not for me. 22:16 Humanism brings about the destruction of the home. 22:19 Humanism brings about persecution. 22:23 Rex Lex, 22:25 the state is the ultimate authority. 22:27 The Supreme Court is the final word. 22:31 Now that leads to the mark of the beast 22:33 is already happening. 22:35 Are we going to be coerced with our beliefs 22:41 by human authority or shall we follow God? 22:46 You get it? 22:50 "Does the Bible describe the condition of the world 22:53 as we see it today? 22:55 What can we do to make things better?" 23:01 What we should do, Wayne, 23:03 and ladies and gentlemen, is turn to God, 23:07 and trust in God, 23:10 and not put our faith in any human authority 23:15 and stand up against humanism. 23:19 And let me read you a text out of the Bible. 23:22 Isaiah 48:17-19, "Thus says the Lord, 23:25 your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: 23:28 'I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit, 23:31 who leads you by the way you should go. 23:33 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! 23:36 Then your peace would have been like a river, 23:38 and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. 23:41 Your descendants also would have been like the sand, 23:44 and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand, 23:48 His name would not have been cut off 23:51 nor destroyed from before Me.'" 23:54 Listen to me, my friend, 23:56 our hope, our security is in God. 24:02 Trust in God, belief in God, 24:07 obedience to the Ten Commandments, 24:11 not humanism, my friend. 24:14 Let us resist humanism. 24:17 Let us resist this cancer that is destroying America. 24:22 Let us stand up for God. 24:24 Let us stand up for Jesus. 24:27 Let us stand up for the commandments. 24:30 Yes, let us stand up for the Bible. 24:32 Let us stand up for the home. 24:35 Let us stand up for our children. 24:38 Lex Rex, 24:41 God's law is the king. 24:44 Amen and amen. 24:53 Jesus said, "All authority has been given to Me 24:56 in heaven and on earth. 24:58 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, 25:03 baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, 25:07 and of the Holy Spirit." 25:10 John Carter reports, "We have seen God's power 25:14 as the Gospel of Christ has been proclaimed in Africa, 25:19 India, Russia, 25:24 Ukraine, Cuba, 25:30 El Salvador, and many other places. 25:34 We invite you to partner with us 25:37 in proclaiming Jesus Christ." 25:43 To God be the glory, great things He has done. 25:50 Write today to the Carter Report, 25:53 P.O.
