00:01 Another year has begun,
00:02 a year that does not have to be the same 00:04 as the previous one. 00:06 A year loaded with new opportunities 00:08 to renew strength, desires, 00:10 and even redirect your plans. 00:13 Even think about new and different nuances. 00:16 You have in your hands 00:17 the possibility of doing things better. 00:20 You have a diary 00:21 with 365 blank pages before you. 00:24 Create and write a new story. 00:27 Happy New Year! 00:32 The truth we once understood is now easily discarded 00:36 by political correctness. 00:38 This is the post-truth era. 00:41 The real truth does not link church and state. 00:46 In this program, 00:47 Pastor John Carter tells us the truth 00:51 based on the Holy Scriptures. 00:53 Biblical principles 00:55 were the foundation of American society. 00:58 Jesus said, "You will know the truth 01:01 and the truth shall set you free." 01:04 Now, here is John Carter to explain 01:06 the aims of the papacy. 01:19 Hello, friend, welcome today to the Carter Report. 01:24 We get many, many letters, 01:26 and I try to answer as many letters as come in. 01:30 Now this is a very different letter. 01:33 It's a very important letter and therefore, 01:37 by the grace of God I plan to answer it. 01:41 Before I do so, let me say this. 01:50 God has got a very big family. 01:53 He's got in his family lots of Roman Catholics, 01:56 lots of Protestants. 01:58 We could go on and on. 02:01 So let's get to the letter. 02:04 This letter is called The Bob Letter. 02:10 I'm not going to tell you the last name of Bob, 02:13 but he lives in California. 02:15 And Bob has written to me, he says, 02:19 "I hope all is well with you and Beverley. 02:23 I'm not sure if you've noticed 02:24 what is going on in Scotland and Europe right now." 02:28 But actually Bob, 02:30 I do look at television on occasions 02:33 and I'm not actually living 02:34 under a rock in Australia, 02:37 but I know what you're talking about. 02:40 "As I write to you, 02:41 there is a conference forming in Scotland 02:43 with all the world leaders to discuss the climate. 02:47 The pope has stated that he will attend the conference 02:50 and present his answer for the climate. 02:54 His proposal is to establish a worldwide day of rest 02:59 to lower the carbon emissions, 03:01 and of course this day would be Sunday. 03:06 Although this may help the environment somewhat, 03:10 its real purpose is to get the world leaders to conform 03:14 with the Roman Catholic Church and the pope. 03:20 America currently has a leader that has no backbone, 03:24 and is Catholic." 03:26 Now, ladies and gentlemen, 03:29 these are not my words. 03:30 I'm simply reading the letter from Bob in California. 03:35 "So he will certainly, 03:38 President Biden will certainly bow to the pope 03:41 and is also obligated to do so 03:45 because he is Catholic. 03:49 John, could this be the beginning 03:51 of the mark of the beast? 03:54 How clever would this be for the pope 03:57 to take this opportunity to advance his agenda? 04:01 What are your thoughts about this? 04:03 Best regards, 04:05 Bob in California." 04:10 Now, Bob, and ladies and gentlemen, 04:15 as I answer this question 'cause this letter, 04:18 this is a very good letter and it needs to be answered. 04:22 I propose to have... 04:24 Wayne asked me lots and lots of other questions. 04:27 And as I answer those questions, 04:30 I hope that I'll answer this question, 04:33 the question of Bob's letter. 04:38 "What is post-truth?" 04:44 Well, post-truth is very crazy idea 04:49 that every person has his own personal truth. 04:53 Is it crazy? 04:55 Yes, it's crazy but it's believed today, 04:59 possibly by the majority of people, 05:02 even by the majority of people 05:04 who call themselves Christians. 05:08 Of course, it goes against the real truth. 05:13 Jesus said... 05:15 This is tremendously important. 05:17 Jesus said, "You will know the truth 05:20 and the truth will make you free." 05:24 You can't have your truth, I can't have my truth. 05:28 We don't have our personal dominion over truth. 05:33 I can have my opinion. 05:35 You can have your opinion, 05:36 but not all opinions are the same. 05:39 There is a truth 05:42 and it should be our souls' endeavor 05:45 to discover 05:47 and to obey the truth. 05:52 "Why is understanding Bible prophecy so important?" 06:01 I'm reading a text out of 1 Peter, 06:04 no actually, 2 Peter, 06:06 and it's 1:19, 06:11 and it talks about truth, 06:13 and it talks about prophetic truth. 06:16 And Peter, whom our beloved friends 06:19 in the Roman Catholic Church 06:20 declare to be the first pope. 06:24 Peter said these words. 06:26 "And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, 06:29 which you do well to heed as a light 06:33 that shines in a dark place, 06:36 until the day dawns 06:39 and the morning star rises in your hearts." 06:43 Peter said, and as I mentioned before our Catholic friends say 06:47 that Peter was the first pope. 06:51 Peter said that prophecy is like a light 06:54 that shines in a dark place. 06:58 Now, ladies and gentlemen, my friends, 07:00 we are living today in a new Dark Age. 07:05 We're living in the age of post-truth 07:08 where anything goes, 07:09 where up is down and left is right. 07:14 Peter said, "Prophecy is like a light 07:17 that shines in a dark place." 07:21 And presently, we're staying here in Australia 07:23 because of COVID. 07:25 We have a house here in Australia. 07:27 It's in a place, 07:29 a beautiful place south of the Gold Coast. 07:32 It's out in the bush, out in the forest. 07:35 It has many, many wonderful blessings. 07:38 But there's one thing it has 07:40 that I don't consider to be a blessing at all. 07:43 It has brown snakes. 07:49 To be more correct, it has the Eastern brown snake, 07:53 which is the second most deadly snake 07:56 on planet Earth. 08:00 The worst snake in the world, 08:02 the most deadly snake is the fierce snake. 08:06 The Inland taipan, 08:08 the terrible snake the most deadly snake, 08:11 most poisonous. 08:12 But on my property here in Australia, 08:15 we have the Eastern brown. 08:18 There's one thing you don't do. 08:20 You don't walk around here at nighttime, 08:22 especially in summer with no shoes on 08:25 without a flashlight. 08:27 If you get bitten by one of these little monsters 08:30 and sometimes they grow two meters long, 08:34 it could well be curtains. 08:37 You need light in a dark place. 08:41 Bible prophecy is like a light 08:43 shining in the darkness 08:47 of post-truth age. 08:52 "Does the USA have an ambassador 08:54 to the Vatican, 08:56 and does this conflict with the separation 08:59 of church and state? 09:02 Yes. 09:04 United States of America 09:05 which has been for many, many years, 09:08 the bastion of Protestantism 09:10 has an ambassador to the Vatican, 09:14 to what is called the Holy See. 09:18 In modern times or more recent times, 09:21 it started under the President that the great President, 09:25 the Republican President, Ronald Reagan. 09:29 Now, he was very, very friendly with Pope John Paul. 09:34 He was a great pope, 09:36 John Paul II. 09:41 And they entered into a secret alliance 09:44 to bring down the totalitarian system 09:48 of communism. 09:50 And, of course, Pope Paul came from Poland, 09:53 and he was no friend of communism. 09:57 Since then, George H.W. Bush, 10:01 Bill Clinton, George Bush W. Bush, 10:04 Barack Obama, Donald Trump, 10:07 and our present President, 10:11 President Joe Biden 10:13 have all appointed ambassadors 10:17 to the Roman Catholic Church, 10:19 to the Holy See. 10:22 But you may say, 10:23 "I find this to be somewhat incredible. 10:25 Why would they do this?" 10:28 Because the Vatican is a theocracy. 10:34 It is a union of church and state. 10:39 It is its own nation. 10:44 And you ask me the question, 10:46 "Is this a violation of the separation 10:49 of church and state?" 10:55 Of course, it is. 10:57 But America, my friend, is losing the faith 11:01 of the Protestant reformers. 11:04 And America is going into a time 11:07 of great spiritual darkness. 11:12 Remember, when Pope Francis visited 11:15 the United States of America, 11:17 and he spoke to a joint Congress 11:20 of the United States. 11:23 Did you see the reception he got? 11:26 The Protestants and the Catholics standing up 11:29 and shouting themselves hoarse to honor the pope from Rome. 11:35 Was it a violation of church and state? 11:38 Of course, 11:41 and listen carefully to this. 11:45 Today, many of my Protestant friends 11:47 believe in the concept of theocracy. 11:51 You say, "Now you've lost me." 11:52 Now, what's this theocracy business? 11:55 A theocracy is the union 11:59 of church and state, 12:02 like they had in the Old Testament. 12:05 In the early days of Christianity 12:07 there was a great theologian by the name 12:09 of St. Augustine or Augustine. 12:13 And he came up 12:14 with the Christian idea of theocracy, 12:18 and so that the church would control the state, 12:22 do away with evil 12:24 and bring in the kingdom of God by force. 12:29 That's what many Protestants today, 12:31 in the United States of America, 12:34 are trying to do. 12:36 And when they do this, my friend, 12:39 they will set up the reign of Antichrist. 12:46 "How do you distinguish between Roman Catholicism 12:50 and individual Catholics?" 12:55 Let me make this ever so plain. 12:59 I have no quarrel with Roman Catholics. 13:03 I love Roman Catholics. 13:05 Today, I'm not talking about Roman Catholics. 13:09 Bless your heart. 13:10 My father was a Roman Catholic. 13:13 Most of my relatives 13:16 were and still are Roman Catholics. 13:19 Except for the grace of God and the providence of God, 13:24 I could have been 13:25 a Roman Catholic priest. 13:30 So I have no quarrel with Roman Catholics. 13:34 What we're talking today is about 13:37 the papal system and its teachings. 13:42 I've known some marvelous Catholics. 13:44 My father, as I mentioned, 13:46 was an earnest Roman Catholic. 13:50 And then I think of that great pope 13:51 whom I personally liked a great deal. 13:54 I just thought he was a nice person, 13:56 good Pope John. 13:59 We've got to make it very, very plain. 14:00 There are good and bad people in every religion, 14:05 including my own church, 14:09 good and bad people in your church. 14:10 Yes, of course. 14:12 Yes, there are good and bad people 14:15 in every church. 14:17 And I believe that the vast majority 14:19 of God's true children 14:22 are found in the Roman Catholic and some other churches. 14:25 Now that was said by a member of my church, 14:28 her name was Ellen White and we believe 14:31 that she had a special gift from God. 14:33 But let me read you a text now, 14:36 out of the Book of Revelation 14:40 18:2 and 4. 14:46 I want to make this ever so plain. 14:48 I don't want you to think 14:49 we're talking about Catholics today. 14:51 No, no, no. 14:52 Revelation 18:2 and 4, 14:55 "He cried mightily with a loud voice saying, 14:58 'Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, 15:01 and has become a dwelling place of demons, 15:03 a prison for every foul spirit, 15:06 and a cage for every unclean and hated bird." 15:11 This is talking about a vast system 15:15 of religious apostasy in the last days. 15:19 And then we come to verse 4, it says, 15:23 "And I heard another voice from heaven saying, 15:26 'Come out of her, my people, 15:30 lest you share in her sins, 15:33 and lest you receive of her plagues.'" 15:39 God says that He has His people 15:42 in this great system of religious deception 15:47 that is called Babylon. 15:53 "Is the papacy described 15:55 in the prophecies of the Bible?" 16:00 So the question is, Wayne, and it's a great question. 16:03 You got courage to ask it, Wayne. 16:07 Is the papacy described in the prophecies of the Bible? 16:12 Well, let me tell all my American friends, 16:14 especially my American friends 16:16 and also my other friends around the world. 16:19 But let me tell my Protestant friends 16:21 in America this great truth. 16:24 This great truth that the papacy 16:28 was described in the prophecies of the Bible 16:31 was held by all the early Americans, 16:34 all of the Puritans. 16:36 That's why they left the old world 16:38 to get away from the persecutions 16:40 of the Vatican, 16:42 the Holy See and the Church of Rome. 16:46 This idea was believed by the Baptists, 16:51 the Lutherans, the Anglicans, 16:55 the Episcopalians. 16:57 I can go on and certainly the Adventists. 17:00 They all believed that the papacy 17:02 was graphically described 17:05 in the prophecies of the Bible. 17:09 Let me read to you 17:10 from the Book of Daniel 7:8. 17:16 I don't have time to give you an exegesis of this 17:19 but that would be appropriate. 17:21 Daniel 7:8, "I was considering the horns, 17:27 and there was another horn, 17:29 a little one coming up among them, 17:31 before whom three of the first horns 17:33 were plucked up by the roots. 17:35 And there, in this horn, 17:37 were eyes like the eyes of a man, 17:40 and a mouth speaking pompous words." 17:45 This is the famous king. 17:49 Listen carefully, 17:52 who rises on the ruins of the Roman Empire. 17:57 Now, did you get this? 18:00 In Daniel Chapter 7, you have a picture of Babylon, 18:04 Medo-Persia, Greece, then the great Roman Empire. 18:08 Then you have the kingdoms and the states of Europe, 18:11 and then you have a religious king 18:13 that arises among the kingdoms of Europe. 18:18 Every Protestant commentator 18:20 until recently said that this was the papacy. 18:24 Not Roman Catholic people but the papacy. 18:28 The papacy has a system 18:31 of oppression and deception. 18:36 Now, you must understand this 18:42 that during the Dark Ages, 18:43 the Roman Catholic Church persecuted people 18:46 by the millions. 18:48 And probably most of the people 18:50 who were persecuted back in the Dark Ages 18:53 were Roman Catholics. 18:57 Martin Luther, who started the Protestant Reformation 19:01 was a Roman Catholic priest. 19:05 So we're not talking about the people, 19:07 but we are talking 19:09 about a system of deception. 19:14 Now, the great commentator Leopold 19:16 says these words. 19:20 Let me read them to you. 19:23 "We also hold that in stating that the pope 19:27 is the Antichrist. 19:30 The Lutheran confessions were correct. 19:36 Much as some men have derided and belittled that view. 19:41 Such belittling grows out of forgetting 19:45 how thoroughly 19:47 the reformers understood the papacy." 19:52 Then he says this, 19:55 "Present day shallowness of understanding 19:58 in this respect leads to shallowness 20:02 of interpretation." 20:06 Now, today, we're living in a time of ignorance 20:10 and a time of propaganda. 20:14 And the vast majority of people who go to church, 20:17 have no idea what the churches used to teach. 20:21 All of the great Protestant reformers, 20:25 many of the great Roman Catholic scholars 20:27 taught that the power of Daniel 7:8, 20:31 this king who arose 20:33 on the ruins of the Roman Empire 20:35 was the Vatican, 20:39 the Pope of Rome. 20:43 "Does the papacy have an influence 20:45 in American politics?" 20:51 Does the papacy 20:53 have an influence in American politics? 20:57 The papacy runs American politics. 21:03 Many of the senators and the congressmen 21:06 have been trained by the Jesuits. 21:10 Go online and check it out, my friend. 21:15 The Roman Catholic Church 21:17 has a tremendous influence 21:21 in American politics. 21:23 And listen to this, 21:26 the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican, 21:29 probably has a tremendous influence 21:33 in your church as well. 21:38 "Who are the Jesuits?" 21:43 The Jesuits are a very interesting group 21:46 of people. 21:48 They started what was called the Counter-Reformation. 21:54 You see you have the Protestant Reformation 21:56 that gave birth to the great democracies, 21:59 Great Britain, United States of America, 22:02 all the great Protestant countries, 22:04 which became the lights of the world. 22:09 And then the Jesuits, 22:11 a group of Spanish scholars 22:14 devised a plan to bring down 22:16 the Protestant Reformation. 22:20 They ran this big council, 22:22 it was called the Council of Trent. 22:25 Have you ever heard of it? 22:28 The Council of Trent was to overthrow 22:31 the Protestant Reformation 22:34 and to bring back the worldwide domination 22:38 of the papacy. 22:41 Did you know that the present pope 22:45 that seems such a wonderful Christian man, 22:48 the present pope is a Jesuit priest? 22:56 "Is Pope Francis a righteous man?" 23:03 And today as I've tried to make it very plain, 23:05 we're not talking about individuals. 23:07 We're not talking about people. 23:08 We're not talking about the pope per se. 23:11 We are talking about a vast system of doctrine 23:14 and a vast system of deception 23:17 that wants to rule the world. 23:20 As a person, 23:21 the pope seems a very nice person. 23:26 He seems to like people. 23:28 He seems to be a pastor. 23:31 He seems to be far more approachable 23:33 than many Protestant leaders that I know. 23:37 He knows where he is going. 23:41 The pope is a very fine, I believe, very courteous, 23:47 very clever, very shrewd Jesuit. 23:52 And the pope has an aim. 23:56 The pope has a purpose. 23:59 What is the purpose of the pope? 24:01 Let me tell you. 24:03 The purpose of the pope 24:05 is to bring all the Protestant Churches, 24:08 all of the religious organizations, 24:10 all of the political organizations 24:14 back to the papacy 24:17 because it is written in the Scriptures 24:19 that in these last days, 24:22 the papacy is going to rule the world. 24:27 Now, I'm going to talk about Bob's letter 24:30 in the next part of the program. 24:32 The most important revelations are still to come, 24:36 but remember what Jesus said, 24:39 "You will know the truth and the truth 24:44 will make you free." 25:01 The Carter Report is now streaming 25:03 on demand for you. 25:05 Now, you can have the teachings of John Carter anytime, 25:09 day or night. 25:10 By streaming the Carter Report, 25:13 there is more content for you to choose from, 25:15 and it's easy. 25:18 If you are new to streaming, 25:20 all you need to do is purchase a streaming device. 25:23 It doesn't really matter which one. 25:25 You can buy a Roku, Amazon Fire 25:28 or Apple TV from any major retailer. 25:31 You or a family member can plug the device 25:35 into your TV 25:36 and sign into your internet connection. 25:38 Do a search for the Carter Report 25:40 and download the app to your device. 25:43 From then on your device and the Carter Report app 25:47 can provide you with hundreds of on demand programs. 25:51 You can also take the Carter Report with you 25:53 wherever you go. 25:54 The official free Carter Report mobile app 25:57 can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. 26:00 Go to the App Store or Google Play Store 26:03 and download the app. 26:05 Additionally, 26:06 you can find Carter Report programs 26:08 on your favorite podcast. 26:11 You can also watch us on Vimeo or YouTube. 26:15 Type the Carter Report in the search box. 26:19 You can watch 26:20 hundreds of uninterrupted John Carter teachings 26:23 whenever you want for as many hours as you want. 26:27 Travel with John Carter as he circles the globe 26:29 to bring the gospel to millions of people. 26:32 Watch the Carter classics 26:34 from over 50 years of ministry 26:36 and gain knowledge from stimulating interviews 26:38 with Christian leaders. 26:41 You now have multiple ways to watch the Carter Report. 26:44 And once you start streaming, 26:46 you'll find comfort in having these teachings 26:48 readily available to you 26:49 whenever and wherever you want for free. 26:54 Welcome to the inspirational world 26:57 of John Carter. 27:02 The PC Police patrol the government, 27:05 the schools, our workplace, our very lives. 27:10 Christian prayer and the pledge of allegiance to our country 27:14 are vanishing from the landscape. 27:16 Merry Christmas is replaced with Happy Holidays. 27:21 The state is gaining ground, 27:23 free speech is now silenced and censored. 27:26 Pastor John Carter is making available 27:29 his four-part series, 27:31 Aims of the Papacy on DVD. 27:34 This series reminds all of us 27:36 that the government cannot tell us 27:38 how to worship 27:40 and a church cannot tell us how to pray. 27:43 Only Jesus is the truth. 27:45 You shall know the truth, 27:47 and the truth shall set you free. 27:49 For a gift of any amount, 27:51 receive your copy of Aims of the Papacy. 27:55 Call or write to the address on the screen. 28:05 For a copy of today's program, 28:07 please contact us at P.O.
