00:21 I like healthy food that tastes so good
00:26 I like to eat good food
00:28 What you say now?
00:30 I like to eat good food!
00:34 I like to eat good food!
00:38 Welcome to Creative Cooking with THS, The Holmes Sisters.
00:43 I'm Taisha.
00:44 I'm Kimberly. And I'm Jan.
00:47 And we love creative cooking.
00:50 It's basically using plant-based nutrition
00:53 to transform our lives.
00:56 We all can benefit from adding more veggies,
00:59 fruits, nuts, and grains to our diet.
01:03 Right, guys? That's right.
01:05 That's right.
01:06 This is so exciting because plant-based nutrition
01:09 is simple, practical...
01:11 And most of all, it's healthy. That's right.
01:14 And listen, I don't like a big fuss in the kitchen,
01:17 I don't, you know, very busy, you know, just going in and out
01:21 with the children, work,
01:23 and just going out to church with our husbands,
01:26 we like it quick and simple, but healthy.
01:29 All right, so today's exciting creative recipe
01:34 that we have for you is our broccoli slaw.
01:37 A broccoli slaw. Now, listen, listen...
01:39 A broccoli slaw or cabbage slaw?
01:41 I said broccoli slaw. What's a broccoli slaw?
01:44 Okay, there you go.
01:45 That's the creativity that we can have...
01:48 Oh, Tai, so creative.
01:50 When we cook good food. Okay.
01:51 That's right. All right.
01:53 So you know, we will get to the cabbage slaw,
01:55 but today we're having a broccoli slaw,
01:57 and a cabbage slaw fiesta.
02:00 Because I like to call it fiesta
02:01 because when I see all the wonderful,
02:03 beautiful colors that we have in our food...
02:06 They just pop.
02:08 They pop like, you know, like a party,
02:09 we're having great time.
02:11 Great time in your bodies. That's right.
02:13 Exactly.
02:14 So Tai, what are the benefits of broccoli?
02:16 I mean, I love broccoli, but I'm not sure...
02:18 We all love broccoli. Is it good for me?
02:20 I mean... I'm glad you asked.
02:22 It is a very good source of dietary fiber,
02:26 vitamin B6, vitamin E, phosphorus,
02:29 vitamin A, potassium, copper.
02:33 I mean, the list goes on and on.
02:35 Broccoli, I mean, it's a good source of vitamin B1,
02:38 they're omega fatty acids, zinc, I mean, selenium.
02:42 You can go on and on.
02:44 And you know what?
02:45 Selenium, it is believed that it also benefits the heart.
02:50 Studies have shown that eating selenium,
02:53 and Brazil nuts are high in selenium.
02:55 Can you imagine Brazil, Brazil, broccoli, and the B-family?
02:59 That's right. I mean, it fights inflammation.
03:01 That's what selenium does.
03:03 And it increases the blood flow,
03:06 reducing free radicals, oxidative stress,
03:09 and helps with the anti-oxidant activity.
03:12 Wow. So...
03:13 This broccoli, this tight pack bunch of broccoli
03:16 can do all that. That's right.
03:18 It's true, right here in your hands.
03:19 I tell you stalk of broccoli. I mean...
03:21 And you can eat it raw. Exactly.
03:24 That's what we're going to do today
03:26 because, you know, a slaw is raw.
03:27 That's right. A Slaw is raw.
03:29 So I like it, let's slay the slaw, Tai.
03:31 All right, let's go. You got support of raw.
03:34 Slay the slaw.
03:35 And what's so great about this is just thrown it all
03:38 in the blender.
03:40 This is not a blender,
03:42 but you just throw it all in your mixer.
03:44 And chop it up. That's it.
03:46 Chop, chop, chop. Quick and easy.
03:47 What are we going to chop? Let's get started.
03:49 But before we get started, Jan, can you please tell us
03:53 the recipe ingredients?
04:18 That's it. That sounds simple to me.
04:20 Simple, and it is delicious. Okay.
04:23 So... Let's get chopping.
04:26 Well, you know, the mix is going to do all the work.
04:28 But... Well, I'll pretend, you know.
04:30 But just cut the broccoli, just a little bit,
04:32 so you just cut it little small.
04:34 You can cut that, Kim.
04:36 And this, you know, this recipe is my son Samuel,
04:39 it's his favorite.
04:40 It's one of his favorites to eat.
04:42 Whenever I make it, he's like, "Mommy, can I have some more?
04:44 I'd like to eat more." It's so delicious.
04:47 It's such a quick, you know, side salad, or just snack.
04:51 And what do you eat it with?
04:53 Well, we'll eat it with anything.
04:54 It goes with anything, but you know what?
04:56 Everybody loves to picnic, right?
04:58 So you know, this would be a great entry to any picnic
05:02 because people will usually bring potato salads, slaws.
05:04 What else you have for picnic?
05:06 Now should we put all of the broccoli in here?
05:07 Yeah, you can put that in.
05:09 Smaller is fine. Yeah.
05:10 Just cut those pieces a little smaller sort of...
05:13 Yeah. There we go. So on a picnic.
05:14 Will we keep it cold or how do we?
05:17 Yeah, well, you can cool it on ice.
05:18 And you know what?
05:20 Today, we're going to have the vegan mayo in it.
05:22 You know, to kind of give it that creamy slaw effect,
05:24 but you can also put lemon
05:27 with a little salt, and a little oil.
05:29 And it's just a slaw, salad without the cream, you know.
05:34 So there's so many different ways of putting this.
05:36 Also I like to put this in my wrap, in the wraps.
05:39 Okay, probably crunchy and nice.
05:41 Nice, crunchy and you know, it's a great fitting in wraps.
05:44 Sounds good in the wrap. It's really, really good.
05:46 I'm throwing some cilantro.
05:49 All right, so then we'll just chop up the slaw a little bit.
05:51 Okay.
05:53 We'll start with what we have.
05:59 Okay. Okay.
06:00 I got the wrong way.
06:02 Putting this over here and putting some here.
06:04 Might just chop it up a little bit.
06:16 All right. Okay.
06:18 That's good.
06:20 Right now, place the broccoli in the bowl.
06:21 All right.
06:23 All right so the next vegetable to join the party.
06:28 Fiesta party. The carrots and the red pepper.
06:32 Red pepper. The red pepper.
06:34 All right. Come one. Let's get going now.
06:36 Carrots. Okay, okay.
06:41 I'm little excited, I'm little excited.
06:43 Okay. You can't cut it.
06:44 We'll take out the blade. Okay.
06:46 And I see Kim threw that stem in there.
06:47 Kim doesn't like to waste any part of a vegetable.
06:50 Absolutely.
06:51 So she has that broccoli trunk thrown right on in there.
06:54 That's so true.
06:55 But the great thing about this recipe,
06:57 you can use the trunk.
06:59 Let me help you with that. Okay.
07:00 Okay. All right.
07:02 So we gonna have, we're about to...
07:03 We are not going to turn this into a tutorial
07:05 on how to use the mixer.
07:08 All right. How to set it on over here?
07:09 Let me get on over here and help me out.
07:11 All right, so that the next veggies
07:14 will be the carrots, and the peppers,
07:18 and we're going to give that a whiz.
07:20 Bit of whiz.
07:21 Let's get this party going, Jan.
07:22 I think I'll have this. Here we go.
07:24 By the time I'm done.
07:29 All right. Okay.
07:30 All right.
07:32 Look at the colors coming together.
07:33 Come on now. Look at that.
07:35 Look how pretty that is.
07:37 Yes. Isn't that beautiful?
07:38 That is beautiful.
07:40 That so funny that you say Kim does not like to waste things.
07:43 I mean which is a good thing.
07:44 She snuck the little piece of broccoli trunk in there.
07:46 My sister, you know,
07:47 before you know, this will be a mask,
07:49 so we've got to hide this from her.
07:52 And then we can add our corn
07:53 because, you know, we don't want to use the corn enough.
07:55 Look at the colors coming together.
07:57 And then we'll take our fresh cilantro,
07:59 and we'll just chop that up.
08:01 And you can whiz it if you'd like.
08:05 I usually like mine's coarsely chopped.
08:07 You know because I like to crunch on the pieces
08:09 rather than be a little mince.
08:10 We'll throw that in there. Nice flavor.
08:13 Give it that nice flavor.
08:15 That's like the kick.
08:17 The cilantro is the kick. That's right.
08:19 And you know, this is so versatile,
08:21 if you'd like, you can just throw in a tomato.
08:23 I mean, and spice it up, or you can add
08:26 any other veggie that you'd like or,
08:28 you know, just different things in different seasons.
08:30 You could probably even add a little ginger to that.
08:32 Oh, wow. Think about that...
08:34 That would be good.
08:35 So then we'll add our vegan mayo.
08:40 So it all comes together. Gets nice and creamy.
08:42 And makes it nice and creamy.
08:45 Oh, boy. And just mix it.
08:47 Now this is Sammy's favorite, huh, Tai?
08:49 One of Sammy's favorite salad, "Mommy, can I have it more?"
08:54 Sammy, my son Samuel is seven years old.
08:57 He's seven just like Jon Jon. Seven years old.
08:59 That's right. They're six months.
09:01 You know, that's funny, that's amazing
09:03 because you know, and I guess, you know, being in the middle,
09:06 I could either be the oldest, right?
09:08 Because I'm older than Jan or I could be the youngest
09:10 'cause I'm younger thank Kim. You're older than Jan.
09:12 But the funny thing about that
09:14 is our children on both sides are six months apart.
09:18 It's true. Think about it.
09:19 Juliana and Sarah, six months apart.
09:22 Right. Jon Jon and Samuel.
09:23 Jon Jon and Samuel, six months apart.
09:25 So we were all pregnant together at some time.
09:28 Yeah, because you were pregnant with Juliana
09:29 in my wedding with poor Bill.
09:31 That's right. Wow.
09:33 Like you said. That's so true.
09:37 So we have to just do everything together.
09:39 Cook together, and have babies together, sing together.
09:43 Sing together. Pray together.
09:45 And now we're gonna eat together.
09:46 Oh, yeah. Juice together.
09:48 That's right. Wear it together.
09:49 All right. Isn't it beautiful?
09:51 Look at that. Sure, it looks good.
09:53 That is just lovely.
09:55 And now look at how it's just presented
09:59 with all the fruits and veggies surrounding it.
10:03 Right at the front, you have your cabbage,
10:04 your broccoli slaw here.
10:08 And it just comes nice, comes nice together.
10:12 And do we add lemon and salt at the end?
10:14 That's just the last.
10:15 But you can add that in anytime,
10:16 but yeah, at the end, you can add that.
10:18 The top set off, and then we mix it in.
10:20 And then a pinch of salt. And now we take a one in.
10:23 All right. Okay.
10:25 And we add...
10:26 So, Kim, you have a spoon or you have bowls.
10:29 We'll just use that what we have right here.
10:31 All right. We'll be proper, Kim.
10:33 We'll mind our manners
10:35 and not just the dipping the bowls,
10:36 so we'll be proper, you know.
10:38 Kim is very proper for those who'd like to know.
10:41 Jan and I, she like to set it straight.
10:42 She used to say, don't use your finger.
10:43 It's so funny because if she sees us
10:45 walking out the house with a plastic bag, she...
10:47 I mean, she'll cause a fit, a complete fit,
10:51 "Why are you walking out with a plastic bag?"
10:52 Well, I mean, I just, well, I put my shoes
10:54 in a plastic bag, is that a big deal?
10:56 "No, you get a nice bag,
10:58 you know, with, you know, a handle on it."
11:00 That's right. Which is nice.
11:02 Yeah.
11:03 It breaks up a little bit, and we always joking.
11:05 Oh, it's time to eat, okay.
11:07 Do we just use our fingers now, Kim,
11:08 or do we have to be proper?
11:09 We'll use our fork. We'll use our fork.
11:12 We'll eat together. Okay.
11:14 Here we go. Let's try together.
11:16 All right, here we go, ladies.
11:18 Taisha? Yes.
11:20 Come on. All right.
11:22 Don't rush.
11:27 That's good. Really, good.
11:31 Combinations of all. This is delicious.
11:34 And it's nice and crunchy.
11:37 Cabbage and broccoli, such a wonderful food.
11:42 But I'd like to share some benefits
11:44 of our next recipe that we're going to introduce to you
11:48 which is the cabbage slaw.
11:50 Cabbage can also be used to reduce inflammation.
11:53 Did you know that?
11:55 The leaf of the cabbage. You take a cabbage leaf.
12:00 If you have like inflammation in your elbow, you know,
12:04 some type of tendonitis or something,
12:06 you put it on there.
12:07 Just the leaf?
12:08 Just the leaf, the leaf of the cabbage.
12:10 You don't have to shred it, you don't have to boil it.
12:11 I mean, to make it a little more potent,
12:12 if I can get a leaf now.
12:14 To bring the juices out. Just grab a leaf.
12:15 Just grab a leaf. How can you take a leaf?
12:17 I'll just show you right now. Do we have to chop it up?
12:21 You don't have to chop it up. Let me lift my...
12:24 Wait, did I creep my elbows this time?
12:26 Oh, Tai, you better keep that. All right. So here we go.
12:29 You just take the leaf which is usually like
12:31 the whole leaf, or just a piece,
12:34 and you will just put it on the bottom,
12:37 or the inflamed part, wherever it is.
12:39 And you wrap it with the saran wrap.
12:43 By the time you wake up in the morning,
12:45 the pain and the swelling is gone.
12:47 It would reduce the swelling in the joints, okay.
12:49 Natural remedy.
12:51 And to make it more potent, all you would do is take
12:52 just use the knife for minute,
12:54 but I'm just trying to make a point here.
12:56 Right. You chop it up, okay.
12:58 To release the juices. That's right.
12:59 Bring out the juices. That's right.
13:01 You just chop it up,
13:03 and it releases more of the juices in it.
13:04 And then it makes even more... You put it on there.
13:07 That's right. And then you wrap it.
13:09 And you wrap it, you know, I mean,
13:11 it has so many wonderful benefits
13:12 for nursing moms,
13:14 when they become engorge with milk.
13:16 Right.
13:17 Cabbage can reduce the milk. That's right, cabbage leaf.
13:19 Yeah, or if you get a headache,
13:21 you know, it's a headache relief.
13:22 How can cabbage deal with headache?
13:24 The cabbage is full of vitamin C, K,
13:26 folate, potassium, calcium, magnesium.
13:30 I mean, this cabbage. I know it has a lot of iron.
13:32 Listen, I'm about to eat slaw today.
13:35 You got headache, can you imagine?
13:37 Grab a cabbage. Or juice the cabbage.
13:39 Yeah, that's true. It's good juice also.
13:41 It makes a great, great juice, you know.
13:43 Now I hope we're not gonna wear cabbage
13:44 because I know you can juice it,
13:46 and I know you can eat it.
13:47 Are we gonna wear cabbage tonight?
13:49 Well, you're wearing it, Jan, when you put it on your elbow.
13:50 That's another way of wearing it.
13:52 There you go. I just showed you that.
13:53 You can wear. Yeah.
13:54 I believe we're ahead of our self
13:56 because we're still in eating segment.
13:57 But now let's get to the ingredients
13:59 of our cabbage slaw.
14:01 Jan, can you read that for us?
14:33 So that sounds like it's going to be creamy I guess.
14:35 Yes, it's all about creamy, delicious, and lots of color.
14:38 Colorful. Okay.
14:40 I mean, it looks like confetti, doesn't it?
14:41 Yeah. Everybody loves it.
14:42 Yeah, this is another fiesta.
14:44 But you have confetti at the parties, at celebrations.
14:45 Well, we got to party with the cabbage.
14:47 So there's going to be celebration in my slummy house.
14:49 Celebration. All right. So it's the same thing.
14:52 You know, quick and easy, as I like it.
14:54 We're just going to chop it piece of your cabbage.
14:57 Okay, and I guess, I don't have to clean the process.
15:00 No, because this is the same thing.
15:01 It's the same thing. Okay, great veggies.
15:03 And I can think by now I should be able to just...
15:06 All right. So you got it now, Jan...
15:07 See, if I can pop that. I think I have it now.
15:09 All right, let's see. You guys think I have it yet.
15:12 Let's see.
15:15 All right.
15:25 Pop it on in the bowl. We'll pop that on in.
15:29 All right. So these are shredded.
15:32 So it's pretty much the same ingredients,
15:34 but this time we're going to add
15:36 the red cabbage with the green cabbage.
15:39 So it's going to give that color.
15:42 Tai, it was you this time, see. Oh, look at that.
15:45 All right. Grace and mercy.
15:47 It's not always me.
15:48 I'll stay corrected, I'll slow down.
15:50 I'll slow down. Grace and mercy.
15:54 Think after grace. All right.
15:56 Hallelujah. We can get that back in.
15:59 Okay, right.
16:00 So you also can mix too like, you can play with it like,
16:02 especially like me, when I cook,
16:04 it's an art and a science to me.
16:07 So I like to play with colors.
16:09 So I'll mix different things just,
16:11 and I kind of get excited, you know,
16:13 when I see those coming together.
16:14 All right. Excited, let's go.
16:21 Oh, Tai, isn't that gorgeous?
16:22 Now we don't want to chop it too much right in.
16:24 No. Make it a puree...
16:25 We just wanted just enough. The colors are so pretty.
16:28 Okay, what are then? And what's next?
16:30 And then we just have one little long red pepper.
16:32 All right 'cause I'm the pro now.
16:34 Yes, you're pro, right. Let's go, you're on the roll.
16:36 All right. Let's start take off the roll.
16:38 All right, let's go and we'll just chop up.
16:40 All right.
16:41 Cilantro, you can throw the corn in please.
16:48 All right.
16:51 Cut some cilantro up in there real quick.
16:58 All right.
17:00 So we're going to get our vegan mayo in there, Kim.
17:02 And let's first put the lemon and the salt this time.
17:06 Thank you.
17:08 We'll put pepper. Yeah.
17:09 Let's just put it now.
17:11 Let me throw a little cilantro in there.
17:12 You spoon that out, Kim, for pepper.
17:15 All right. That is beautiful.
17:17 Look at how that's coming together.
17:19 Wow. Okay.
17:21 All right. Dress it up I guess.
17:23 We'll throw in... Our mayo.
17:26 All right, just mix it up, let's go.
17:29 Ready to taste some slaw.
17:33 Just get over and around it, mix it all around.
17:36 All right. Catch the bowls.
17:38 These are my bowls. I'm ready to taste.
17:41 That's my fork. This is delicious.
17:43 We're ready. Okay.
17:45 Oh, it smells so good. Just spoon it on in here.
17:46 I'm getting here little bit anxious.
17:48 It looks good. Come on. Mix it in.
17:51 All right. All right. Here we go, ladies.
17:54 Okay. You want more, Jan.
17:56 Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
17:57 Okay, I'll share this. Just a taste.
17:59 Okay, just a taste. Just a taste.
18:00 You can always have more later.
18:02 And we could share out of the same.
18:04 I'm sure, we could. Okay.
18:06 All right, here we go. I'm trying.
18:09 Get before I start. Good.
18:13 I taste that cilantro in now.
18:16 That's the kick right there. Add there a little cilantro.
18:20 Bam, so good.
18:23 So now that we've eaten it,
18:26 this wonderful array of this confetti slaws,
18:29 the broccoli slaw, the cabbage slaw.
18:31 It is now time to juice it.
18:40 And now it's time to juice it.
18:44 Wow, so what do we have today, ladies?
18:46 What is our juice? Kiwi, kiwi.
18:49 Kiwi smoothie. Yes.
18:51 Packed with so much. What is it packed with?
18:55 Oh, it's packed with loads of vitamin C.
18:58 But let me tell you a little snippet of a fact
19:03 that I discovered.
19:04 What Taisha?
19:05 Have you ever had any trouble sleeping?
19:09 Let me tell you.
19:10 Put down that Ambien, and pick up a kiwi.
19:15 See... Just like that?
19:16 Just like that.
19:17 Studies have shown that kiwi fruit contains
19:21 many medicinal useful compounds
19:24 such as antioxidants, serotonin.
19:27 And serotonin is the hormone which induces sleep.
19:31 Sleep? That's right.
19:32 Can you imagine this little kiwi?
19:33 No. Fussy kiwi.
19:35 Everyone tries to cut off the skin
19:36 because sometimes when it's going down,
19:38 it kind of tickles your throat.
19:40 So you mean we should eat the kiwi with the skin,
19:42 or should we cut the skin off?
19:43 Well, I mean, it's usually best to eat
19:46 most things with skin as long as it's washed.
19:48 Right. May be organic also.
19:49 An organic also. Yeah.
19:51 But it's...
19:52 You can eat the skin, it's full of fiber.
19:53 That's right.
19:55 Yeah, but let me finish telling you about the kiwi,
19:56 and sleep well, and these compounds
19:59 may be beneficial to, you know, sleep disorders like insomnia.
20:03 You heard of insomnia, right? That's right.
20:04 So guess what?
20:06 It is said that having two kiwi fruits an hour, just an hour...
20:11 Just an hour. Now hold on a minute.
20:13 Now you've heard of like, like I said insomnia.
20:16 So people will say like,
20:17 "You know, if you're having trouble sleeping,
20:21 don't drink caffeine, don't..."
20:23 You know, like an hour or two? They say drink.
20:24 What is it? NyQuil or... I don't know.
20:26 Some people will do like NyQuil or DayQuil.
20:29 Something that just makes you drowsy or sleepy...
20:32 Or those type of medications
20:34 or Ambien is a medication for sleep.
20:37 But they said having kiwi just an hour
20:41 before bedtime can help immensely in inducing sleep.
20:46 That is amazing. That is powerful.
20:47 That's very powerful. So I tell you what?
20:50 Take a kiwi to bed at night, put it on the nightstand,
20:53 you know, some people, you know,
20:54 put it right next to the Bible.
20:56 All right. That's right.
20:57 Right next to the Bible. But I'm just saying.
20:59 That's right. When, you know, like you...
21:01 Whatever book you're reading and then, you know,
21:04 or while you're walking around the house like right before,
21:07 if you have any troubles,
21:08 just a natural way, and natural tit bit on.
21:10 So just eat it or...
21:12 Yeah, eat it or maybe even juice it like in juicer.
21:15 I mean can you imagine, Tai,
21:17 because we're just using one kiwi in this recipe.
21:20 So let's get to the recipe.
21:21 Can you read the recipe, Jan?
21:44 That sounds simple to me. Yes.
21:45 That is very simple and easy.
21:47 So you know, a lot of times, as moms,
21:50 we even have children who have insomnia,
21:53 you know, their little minds are running and racing,
21:56 you know, with the worries that they have all day,
21:58 or whatever it is, but no, I'm serious,
22:00 or maybe, they're just a little hyper,
22:02 and they don't want to go to bed, you know...
22:03 And this is like a milk. Slip a kiwi, slip a kiwi...
22:06 You give them a kiwi with some milk...
22:08 In a shake. In a shake.
22:09 That's right. And that will be a wrap.
22:11 That will be a wrap.
22:13 Remember, an hour before they go to bed
22:16 slip a kiwi in a shake and that it'll be a wrap.
22:20 All right, so let's get started.
22:22 All right, so we're going to peel our kiwi.
22:24 We'll cut this some. Also you can start.
22:27 Kim, can you add the milk? And, Jan, take the top of...
22:29 Let's just start adding in.
22:31 Like I said before we don't have to always peel it, but...
22:32 Yeah, you don't have to peel it.
22:34 We're peeling it for this recipe.
22:35 Look at how nice and green it is.
22:38 Peel the sides off.
22:40 Right, Kimberly, please do not try
22:42 to pick up the peels,
22:43 and start rubbing it all over your face?
22:45 Or don't take it later, we'll put in the plate.
22:48 We have some benefit of kiwi on your face.
22:50 You always know when Kimberly's at your house, right?
22:53 Because while you're cooking, you go in your fridge,
22:55 and look for something later,
22:57 and you'll see a little plastic bag,
22:59 sandwich bags with peeling of things in it.
23:03 Stock the things in it. She wastes nothing.
23:05 She wastes nothing, no part of the fruit.
23:07 I'm serious, this is very serious,
23:08 we're like Kimberly,
23:10 because sometimes she'll forget to take it,
23:11 and you're like, oh, Kim, was here.
23:13 Or you might have a frozen...
23:15 What is it, the grapefruits, or the grossest?
23:18 Because everywhere she goes, she's either juicing,
23:21 she's eating, she's right, I mean, seriously.
23:25 You see, audience has to understand
23:27 that is the secret to looking young and healthy.
23:31 But girl, you don't look dull over 25.
23:35 This bump. All right.
23:37 So this is our yogurt. That's right.
23:38 yeah, our vegan soy yogurt.
23:41 And it's finale, you can flavor it if you want,
23:44 you can do a strawberry, you know, vegan yogurt,
23:47 any type blueberry, whatever you like,
23:49 we just use the vanilla this time.
23:50 So we have everything in there? Everything's in.
23:52 All right, so now we're going to give it a whiz.
24:11 Okay. All right.
24:14 That enough right there, and let's pour it in.
24:16 Right, don't take too much
24:17 because we don't want to go to sleep.
24:19 That's right. Oh, wow.
24:21 Well, at least, it's an hour before rise.
24:24 So yeah, you're right. We sure don't so...
24:26 You may just want to. Jan, just a little tip girl.
24:28 Okay. Just a little tip. I'm not trying to...
24:32 Serotonin in my body this time today.
24:34 Hello. Okay.
24:37 All right. Here we go.
24:38 All right, here we go. Just to sleep.
24:39 But you know, what the ginger will pick it up.
24:41 So maybe, that'll be like the anti-sleeping agent.
24:46 Okay. Things that make you say...
24:50 All right, here's to help.
24:58 Yummy. Ooh.
24:59 Delicious. Good.
25:01 Taisha is really...
25:02 Everybody will love this one. Wow, you got to try this.
25:05 You got to try it. It is delicious.
25:10 What a great combination. Yes.
25:11 Well, ladies, now that we've eaten it.
25:15 Yes. Right?
25:16 That's right.
25:18 We've just juiced it. Sure enough.
25:22 It's now time to wear it.
25:30 And now it's time to wear it.
25:33 All right, now so our wear it mask today
25:36 is a kiwi-lemon mask.
25:40 Kiwi-lemon mask. So Kim, can you...
25:42 can you place this?
25:44 Keep on Jan while I explain
25:45 how we can get our kiwi on the mask.
25:48 You just peel out the pulp of the kiwi, a little piece,
25:51 I mean, this is just one serving one person,
25:53 you just put it right in the bowl,
25:55 very nice and easy.
25:58 Take a piece of the lemon,
25:59 you mash-up the pulp of the kiwi.
26:03 Just smash it up like so.
26:05 Not yet, just mash-up the pulp of the kiwi.
26:07 And now kiwi is very juicy.
26:09 So you don't want to put too much lemon depending on...
26:11 I mean, you can because lemon is the natural toner,
26:15 and you just squeeze a little bit of the lemon.
26:22 And the nutritional properties in the kiwi
26:25 helps give your skin a youthful glow.
26:28 Okay, so it's like the natural lemon
26:32 is like a natural bleach to remove like the blemishes,
26:35 and the spots on your skin.
26:37 Kim, so we can get started on Jan.
26:40 Here we are.
26:42 Kim, you always put lemon on your face.
26:44 Yeah, Kim always puts lemon on her face.
26:46 So growing up. Now, we're adding kiwi.
26:49 Mother always knew when we were eating junk food.
26:53 The things you shouldn't eat sweet, soda whatever it was.
26:56 You'll get little bump or blemish on your face.
26:58 Get a little bump or blemish, and so I would run home
27:02 and I'll rub that lemon on my skin very quickly,
27:07 drink a lot of water. Look at that.
27:08 And by the morning that pimple was gone.
27:11 It was gone. Look at that.
27:14 Lemon works.
27:15 It works, don't you see that youthful glow coming back?
27:18 Well, guys we have eaten it,
27:21 we have juiced it, and now Jan has worn it.
27:25 So that's all we have for today.
27:27 See you next time
27:28 because we love to eat good food.
27:29 That's right.
27:31 I like healthy food that tastes so good
27:35 I like to eat good food
27:38 What do you say now?
27:39 I like to eat good food!
27:43 I like to eat good food!
27:49 Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
27:50 Bye, God bless you until next time.
27:52 Okay.
