Monkey! Look at what he does! 03:00 Wind him up!Keep winding these up and see if 03:04 we can get them all moving at once 03:05 - at the same time! 03:08 Oh, look at that! 03:11 Oh, wait, wait wait! 03:16 Do you know what is in this box? 03:19 This is my toy box, too. 03:21 In this box, it doesn't look much like 03:23 a put-together toy, does it? 03:25 But what do you think? 03:28 You know! Do you ever wonder about who makes all these toys? 03:31 Do you wonder how there made? 03:32 You ever thought of making one yourself? 03:35 Well what I thought was.. 03:36 I hear a lot about evolution, you know? 03:39 I thought maybe I can make a toy without actually making it. 03:44 I didn't have to actually make it! 03:45 What if I put all the pieces in here, 03:48 this is just like the rabbit that he has. 03:51 If I put him in here - all 03:54 these pieces - and shake it up, shake up the box 03:57 Would somebody like to shake up the box for me, Kate? 04:01 Shake it up real hard. 04:03 And now open the lid to see what's in there. 04:04 What's in there? A taken-apart toy... 04:07 A taken apart toy! Well, that's no good 04:11 - put it in there and let's try it again. 04:14 Who wants to shake it up, Michael shake it up? 04:17 Check and see, what do we have? 04:21 A broken toy. a broken toy! 04:23 Well, I don't know that doesn't seem 04:25 to be working real well, does it? 04:26 Hey grandma, the new kids are here! 04:29 Oh, hey guys, you wanna go meet some new kids? OK! 04:33 Why don't we all go outside and meet the new kids? 04:34 We can just leave the toy's here and come back later. 04:36 OK! Let's go! You want to meet some new kids? 04:39 You can take that with you, let's go! 04:41 Come on! 04:50 Do you want to go right through here? Oooh! 04:52 Come on! 04:54 There are the new kids! What do you think? Look! 04:56 Come on! come and meet them. 04:59 Ohhh! Do you know what those are? 05:03 They're little goat kids. Yea! 05:07 And there names are, uh, I forget, tell me again, Dave. 05:11 Felicia and Lily. 05:14 Yeah, get acquainted with them, aren't they cute? 05:15 What do you think, Jordan? 05:22 These are some of my favorite animals! 05:27 No, they don't eat your clothes. Baaa! 05:32 Oh, aren't they darling? 05:33 When they're even full-grown, they're 05:34 not an awful lot bigger than this. 05:36 These are pygmy goats. Yes! these are pigmy goats. 05:38 Kids! That's why I call them kids, that's what name them 05:42 Want to come and meet him George? 05:45 Come on in put your hand right here, 05:47 touch him softly on the head. 05:49 Oww! 05:52 Did he step on you? 05:53 He stepped on me toes. 05:56 And you know, this one has 05:57 the same first name as your middle name. 05:59 Her name is Lily. 06:03 Aren't they sweet? 06:06 I've wanted some of these goats fors such a long time. 06:09 No! They're not mine, but I wish they were. 06:12 We don't have a place to keep them but! 06:15 We borrowed them for 06:16 today so you can meet the new kids. 06:19 The new kids on the block. 06:20 The new kids on the block, that's right! 06:24 So how do you think the goats got here? 06:27 Hmmm! A trailer. A trailer? That's a good answer. 06:31 What do you think? A truck? 06:34 A car? OH! They were walked over. 06:42 Did somebody make these goats? 06:43 Yeah, God. 06:45 Absolutely - goats don't just happen, do they? 06:49 Nope. 06:50 No, no more than people do. 06:53 This is awesome, do you see their little eyes? 06:56 Aren't they sweet? Ahhh! 07:01 Well, while you guys continue to get acquainted with the new 07:05 kids, I think maybe I should go back 07:07 inside and put the toys away. 07:09 Do you like the new kids? 07:11 I sure do. 07:12 While I go put my toys away, I think 07:15 you have time to write down my address. 07:18 You know I especially want to hear 07:20 from you guys if you've made 07:21 a toy of your own, or created something 07:24 oh, I'd just love to see that. 07:27 So if you're all ready, get your pencil, 07:30 and your paper, and here's my address! 07:32 Hey kids, Grandma 07:34 Neal would love to hear from you. 07:36 She loves to get pictures and drawings, 07:38 and anything else you may want to send her. 07:40 She also answers each one of your letters, so 07:43 get your pen ready and write down her address, ok? 07:45 If you want to write her a letter address it to. 08:03 Grandma also loves to get emails... 08:15 She'd love to hear from you... 08:19 Wasn't it fun to see my toy box? 08:21 Did you ever imagine that a grandma would 08:24 still have her own toys after so many years? 08:27 Lots of us older folks are full of 08:29 surprises, you just can never tell about us! 08:32 I like wind-up toys because they're all made up of lots of 08:36 the same parts, and yet they all do such different things. 08:41 It took talent, imagination, 08:43 ingenuity and creativity to make all 08:45 those different parts and to 08:48 figure out how to put them together. 08:51 Do you know where we get our talents? 08:54 We inherit them. 08:55 We inherit them from our Father, God. 08:58 He's the ultimate Creator. 09:00 Everybody knows that toys don't just happen. 09:03 They don't just fall out of the sky, 09:06 somebody has to design and make them. 09:08 When I go into the toy store, I don't find a 09:11 bunch of gears, levers, wheels and feet in a big 09:15 mish-mash waiting for a tornado or an earthquake to 09:18 come along and make all the parts fall into place. 09:23 I like pygmy goats, too. 09:25 They are so much more complex than 09:28 a wind-up toy, and yet, some people 09:30 will try to convince you that goats, 09:33 and even people, just happened. 09:36 A little accident her, a little bump there, a 09:38 strike of lightning, millions of years, and 09:40 voila- life just appears! 09:43 Common sense tells us this not true. 09:47 There is a law in nature called the Law of Entropy. 09:51 Basically it says that things tend to 09:55 become less organized, rather than more so. 09:57 What if you left your room in a big mess? 10:00 Let's say that you left your dirty 10:02 clothes scattered all over the place. 10:04 Your toys and books are everywhere, and 10:06 your homework's in the middle of your bed. 10:08 Sheets and blankets are on the floor. 10:10 Now what if you were gone for five years, and 10:13 while you were gone there had been an earthquake? 10:17 Do you think an earthquake would put 10:19 your toys and books back on the shelves? 10:21 Suppose there had been a windstorm with lots 10:24 of rain, and a branch had broken your window? 10:27 Would that have washed your 10:28 clothes and hung them up for you? 10:30 I don't think so, honey! 10:32 Then why do some people think that life 10:35 just happened as the result of accidents? 10:37 God is the reason everything exists. 10:40 He created the stars, the air, the animals, 10:43 and especially you. 10:45 Especially you! 10:47 He made you to be just like Him. 10:49 You know what I love to do? 10:52 Find a little patch of ground about 10:54 - oh, this big. 10:55 Lie down on my stomach, and just watch for 10:58 a long time to see what's going on there. 11:00 You can make a list of everything 11:02 you discover that's alive. 11:04 It's really fun. 11:06 You could follow an ant around to see what 11:08 he's doing, or watch a spider makin' a web. 11:10 How big is a spider's brain, anyway? 11:13 Who taught him how to spin? 11:15 Remember about the toy store, and the pygmy goats. 11:19 Remember that complicated things don't just spring out of chaos. 11:24 Remember that you take after your heavenly Father. 11:28 And your Grandma Neal - that's me. 11:30 Us three were made for each other. 11:33 I love you so much. 11:35 Please come back again real soon. 11:37 We'll have lots of adventures together. 11:40 Good-bye till then! 11:48 My favorite wind-up toy would probably be the snail. 11:52 I think they're pretty cool 11:54 - I liked the chickie because I'd wind 11:58 him up and he'd jump off the table. 12:00 Goats have four stomachs, no three stomachs! 12:06 The sure do have bad breath, though! 12:08 I wonder why she had a broken-up, 12:10 fuzzy white rabbit in a box? 12:12 Grandma explained that evolution 12:14 is like this broken toy in this box 12:16 - no matter how much I shake it, it's just going to stay broken. 12:19 Maybe if I shake it like this... 12:22 Maybe if I shake it like this... 12:35 Still broken. 12:36 Evolution is something that people 12:39 have just kind of made up over the years 12:43 where they think something just kind of 12:47 happened after a long period of time... 12:58 Please don't let my friends be watching this! |
