Oh that's cute. 07:58 Look at that water. - yeah. 08:07 We are now leaving River station and our next stop 08:09 is red rock. 08:17 Remain seated until we come to a stop at the station. 08:25 (Train whistle blowing) 09:02 Heh, even though it is 100° or better outside, we are 09:06 hanging out with penguins and boy does it feel good. 09:09 I think we're going to stay here a little while longer 09:12 and enjoy the cool. 09:20 We have had an awesome day here at the St. Louis zoo. 09:23 I can tell you this is the best zoo I have been to for 09:26 a long time and I am so thrilled you came with us. 09:28 But we are all pretty tired now so we are heading home. 09:32 Before we do that though, I want to give you a chance 09:35 to write down my address because I would love to hear 09:38 from you, if you are ready to pick up your pencil and 09:40 your paper and here it is. 09:45 Hey kids Graham Joyce would love to hear from you. 09:48 So why not sit down and write her a letter? 09:50 Like every grandma she loves to get pictures, 09:53 drawings or anything else you send her. 09:56 Just write to: 10:08 So what are you waiting for? Write her today. 10:15 Oh hah, after tramping all over the zoo on such 10:18 a hot day, it feels really good to sit down and rest 10:22 a spell with a nice cool class of water. 10:30 I've been thinking about the widely different kinds of 10:33 critters we saw today. 10:34 Everything from butterflies to hippos. 10:36 What a contrast, well that reminded me of a little 10:40 ditty I know and love. Maybe you know it too? 10:43 It's called all God's critters got a place in the choir. 10:46 Have you ever heard it before? 10:48 The course goes like this, all God's critters got a place 10:52 in the choir, some sing low and some sing higher, 10:56 some sing out loud on a telephone wire, some just 10:59 clapped their hands or paws or anything they got. 11:04 Well you know my voice isn't all that great, sometimes 11:06 I can't carry a tune in a 5 gallon bucket. 11:08 Anyway what I have been thinking is that people are just 11:12 like a zoo full of animals. 11:14 We are all different, but we each have a special place 11:17 to fill, created by God Himself. 11:19 In nature each different plant, flower, bird or mammal 11:23 has a place in the scheme of things that makes the whole 11:27 world come together in tune. 11:29 If just one part goes missing, or if it refuses to do 11:33 it's part, all the others don't work as well either and 11:36 they all suffer a little. 11:38 Some of them suffer a lot. 11:40 Like this particular flower I heard of the other day, I don't 11:44 know its name but it sits dormant in the forest until 11:48 one special bird returns from its migration and sings 11:51 its own unique song. 11:53 There is something about the vibrations of that one 11:57 bird's song that starts the flower growing. 12:00 No other variety of bird's song will do, if that one 12:04 special bird doesn't come along and sing it's one special 12:08 song, the flower won't grow and bloom. 12:11 Nobody will ever know it was even there and how beautiful 12:14 it could have been, what a pity that would be. 12:18 Well, did you know that the words you say actually 12:22 change the vibrations in the air in the same way that 12:25 bird's song, they have the power to make the atmosphere 12:28 different than it was before. 12:30 If you speak harsh, angry words it sends a chill through 12:34 the air and wounds the heart of anyone who hears. 12:37 When we say happy pleasant things, it makes the air feel 12:41 warmer and it brings peace to everybody around you. 12:44 It actually changes the vibrations that makes sound 12:47 happen. It is just like the flower waiting in the forest. 12:51 There is someone in this world who needs you to sing 12:55 for them, someone is waiting to hear your voice saying 12:58 kind and loving and comforting words right from your heart. 13:03 Somebody will never bloom for Jesus unless you, yes I said 13:07 you, tell them about Him and how much He loves them. 13:11 Your voice makes a difference in this world and you can 13:15 help someone find Jesus. 13:16 Like the old song says, don't worry that it's not good 13:20 enough for anyone else to hear, just sing. 13:24 Sing a song, remember all the critters in the zoo? 13:27 They don't think about how good their sounds are, 13:30 they just howl, grunt, yip, roar or squeak. 13:33 That's the way God made them. 13:35 It all sounds beautiful in His ears. 13:37 And He can make your words sound beautiful 13:40 to the ears of somebody who is waiting to hear your voice. 13:43 That is all the time we have for today, but I can't wait 13:47 to spend time with you again really soon. 13:50 Now get out there and sing your song, remember don't worry 13:54 if it is good enough, just sing and I will be singing 13:58 too, because I love you. 14:01 Heh everybody its zoo time. 14:04 I'm way too old for this. 14:09 Ah, Yahoo. 14:17 Weeeee! 14:21 I want to see some monkeys. 14:23 I look at the zoo, woo hoo-hoo-oww-oww-oww. |
