00:33 Please stand as we sing our theme song.
00:49 There's a lost, lonely soul 00:52 Waiting silent at war 00:55 For a rescue To come to the door 01:01 Many could go but I only know 01:06 The name Of that one lonely soul 01:11 Oh can you hear Our Prince Calling on before 01:17 "Let us go and restore 01:22 The broken hearted The wounded 01:25 The captives of war 01:29 Will you bear My shield of faith once more?" 01:36 Many more are the souls 01:38 Who are bound up in fear 01:41 As they run Through The dark far and near 01:47 Though I will fight 01:49 Just one ends the night 01:52 Our Prince Who carries the light 01:57 Oh can you hear Our Prince 02:01 Calling on before 02:03 "Let us go and restore 02:08 The broken hearted The wounded 02:11 The captives of war 02:15 Will you bear My shield of faith once more?" 02:21 To that lost lonely soul 02:24 I will go and will share 02:27 All their cries All their fears All their prayers 02:33 For it's been told My Prince he does hold 02:38 The tears Of that one lonely soul 02:43 Oh can you hear Our Prince 02:46 Calling on before 02:48 "Let us go and restore 02:53 The broken hearted The wounded 02:57 The captives of war 03:00 Will you bear My shield of faith once more?" 03:06 Oh can you hear Our Prince 03:10 Calling on before 03:12 "Let us go and restore 03:17 The broken hearted The wounded 03:20 The captives of war 03:24 Will you bear My shield of faith once more?" 03:36 Good evening, everyone. 03:38 Please be seated. 03:40 Tonight is the final meeting to the, this year's GYC, 03:45 and we want to welcome each one of you here 03:47 at our final meeting. 03:49 I want to ask you if you can help us 03:51 extend that welcome to the person next to you 03:54 and shake their hand. 03:55 Give them, if you're a man and shaking another man's hand, 03:58 give him a man warrior's handshake, 03:59 you know clasp to a clasp. 04:02 If you're a woman just give them 04:03 a nice little taply hug in a feminine, 04:05 how you doing. 04:07 We're a warm group of people here at GYC. 04:16 We are told that conventions, convocations, camp meetings, 04:21 large groups 04:23 where God's people convened together 04:26 are the Lord's appointed means 04:29 by which He sends the Holy Spirit. 04:32 And even though tonight is the final meeting, 04:34 we want to not miss out on the opportunity 04:37 to receive the Holy Spirit. 04:39 So we want this meeting to be as welcome 04:41 and as open as possible. 04:43 Those of you who out there quickly come in, 04:45 you are totally late. 04:47 You missed the song service, but we totally love you. 04:49 So hurry up and move and get in here. 04:53 Like you don't think I see you? 04:55 I see your... 04:56 Walk, faster, faster, faster. 04:58 Run. 05:00 The Holy Spirit is being poured forth 05:02 and we don't want these people to miss out on that blessing. 05:07 But with that welcome, 05:09 we are also told 05:10 that there are unwelcome elements 05:12 in these meetings as well. 05:15 We are told that there are devils 05:17 who tried to distract our attention 05:19 with the most minor things, 05:22 that phone calls come at the most inappropriate times 05:26 or someone does something that just catches your eye 05:28 or you're thinking 05:30 of what do I need to do tomorrow, 05:31 or indifferent sets in, or you're just tired, 05:33 or you're the person 05:35 that you're most annoyed with in the world 05:36 is sitting right in front of you. 05:37 And these things just get in your mind 05:39 and your mind cannot focus on spiritual things. 05:43 So we cannot let that happen 05:44 and this is why we have something 05:46 called opening prayer. 05:48 Amen. 05:50 We don't open prayer for formality. 05:53 We are asking the Lord to help us 05:54 to get in the right mindset 05:57 to receive the blessing of heaven. 05:59 So please, at this time, 06:01 bow your heads, close your eyes. 06:03 And let's pray together for this final blessing. 06:07 Father in heaven, we thank You 06:09 for this very large convention center. 06:13 We thank You for the ministries 06:15 that are the media ministries and 3ABN 06:17 that's recording and causing this message 06:19 to go all worldwide. 06:22 We thank you for the leadership and the speakers, 06:24 and the finances and the health, 06:26 and Your people coming together. 06:28 We thank You for all these things. 06:29 But, Lord, if you don't send Your Holy Spirit, 06:31 all of this is done in vain. 06:35 We are here to experience and to hear the Holy Spirit, 06:41 to receive the Holy Spirit in our hearts 06:43 and to respond with positive, loving obedience. 06:49 Father, we ask 06:51 that You would just gently remove 06:53 those things that 06:54 that caused our attentions to so quickly change. 06:58 We ask that You strongly remove 07:01 the influences of evil and darkness from this place. 07:05 And for those who are watching online 07:07 or streaming or whatnot, Lord, 07:09 or cause our minds to drift heavenward 07:13 and not earthward. 07:15 Father, we ask for Your special blessing 07:17 of the Holy Spirit upon the speaker, 07:19 upon the introductory elements, 07:21 upon the music, upon all, 07:23 we ask this in Jesus' name, 07:25 and let everyone say, amen. 07:30 Thank you, Justin, 07:31 for reminding us for what really matters. 07:34 Amen. 07:35 I appreciated that song watch ye saints. 07:39 It speaks to a generation that was longing to see the God 07:45 that meant everything to them. 07:47 There is no cost. 07:49 There's no sacrifice that was too costly for them. 07:53 And that's really what GYC is, right? 07:56 We are a generation of young people 07:58 that just want to see Jesus come back in our generation. 08:02 And we're not merely just a conference, 08:06 but we live lives, we live lives that, 08:10 that seek to hasten Jesus coming back. 08:13 And that's what we want to talk about today. 08:15 Here I have official 08:17 and non-official GYC affiliates, 08:21 and we're going to take a quick drive down, 08:25 longish drive down to Tennessee. 08:28 Tell us, what is God doing in Tennessee? 08:30 Yes, so my name is Kaili Kimbrow. 08:32 I am a student 08:33 at Southern Adventist University. 08:35 And I am working with GYC Southeast 08:38 as president currently. 08:40 So starting college, 08:42 I quickly realized that I was so self-focused. 08:45 It was all about my grades, my time, my college experience, 08:50 and I realized very quickly that I needed more. 08:52 I needed more of God's Word. 08:55 And I needed to be more involved in evangelism, 08:59 and I got involved with GYC Southeast 09:00 and I can truly say 09:02 that being involved in evangelism intentionally 09:06 brings more to life. 09:08 And it's so exciting, 09:09 because one part of GYC Southeast, 09:12 a big part is evangelism. 09:14 And in the past every semester, 09:17 we've had three to four outreach projects 09:19 each semester. 09:20 And we planned starting this August 09:22 to continue that. 09:24 But God opened doors and big doors. 09:27 And guess what, Michelle, 09:28 we've had outreach every Sabbath. 09:31 Every Sabbath? Where? 09:32 And not only that, on the campus of Southern, 09:34 in the southern area, 09:35 and not only that 09:37 God has provided the resources 09:39 for that to happen continually. 09:41 Amen. 09:42 So the GYC Southeast team 09:45 wanted to continue evangelism and go even further. 09:48 And so, we are starting a pilot project this semester 09:52 for small group evangelism and we're excited 09:55 and ready to launch in August full for the whole region, 10:01 small group evangelism. 10:02 Wow. So does that include Kentucky? 10:05 So, yeah, Southeast region is the Southern Union. 10:09 So if you're in the Southern Union, 10:10 stop by our booth, 10:12 visit our website, get involved, 10:14 because there's opportunities for you to be involved, 10:16 but also for your church to partner with us. 10:18 Amen. 10:19 We have a conference March 26 to 28 10:22 as well as October on the campus of Southern. 10:25 March and October. Thank you, Kaili. 10:26 We're going to take a long road trip 10:28 over to Washington. 10:30 What's God doing in Washington? 10:32 So my name is Heidi Duffield. 10:33 I am a student and midwife in Washington State 10:36 and also the President of GYC Northwest. 10:39 So this past year in 2019 in March, 10:41 we had our first pre-conference that we've ever had before. 10:44 Pre-conference? Convention, yes. 10:46 And even though it was a small group of people, 10:48 we saw God working there. 10:51 So I just want to share a short story 10:52 that illustrates the power of prayer. 10:54 On one day, 10:55 there was one of the teams that went out, 10:57 they only had two hours to work their territory. 10:59 And they were praying that God would send them 11:02 to someone to people 11:03 who were longing to know Him better. 11:06 And they only made it to 12 houses 11:09 and eight people were home. 11:10 Four people signed up for some sort of service. 11:14 We're partnering with Total Health Spokane, 11:16 and they were providing Bible study services and... 11:19 Good place. So, yeah. 11:21 So two of these people 11:24 of these four people were clearly people 11:27 that were searching for God 11:29 and that were looking to heaven 11:30 longing for light, 11:31 just like they had prayed, 11:33 and both of those individuals ended up going on 11:35 and having Bible studies this past year, 11:37 and through an evangelistic series 11:39 they joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church 11:41 through baptism or profession of faith. 11:43 And it's just an encouraging testimony 11:45 that even when we're small, God will work through us. 11:49 And even one soul brought to Him is a big thing. 11:53 Amen. Amen. 11:54 Being involved with GYC Northwest 11:55 has been one of the biggest blessings 11:57 in my life. 11:58 It's taught me more than anything else, 12:00 I can think of how little I know 12:02 and how much I need God. 12:03 But I want to encourage any young people out there. 12:06 If the Lord has placed on your heart 12:08 the desire to become involved in an affiliate 12:11 or to start an affiliate, 12:12 go forward in faith, you will face obstacles, 12:15 but God will be with you. 12:17 There's a quote that I love that says, 12:19 "God doesn't call the qualified, 12:21 He qualifies the called." 12:23 And that is huge. 12:24 And when you recognize that you are not qualified, 12:27 but that God has called you, 12:29 you're in the best place you can be. 12:30 There's a song I love that goes on to say 12:33 that you can be too big for God to use, 12:35 but you'll never be too small. 12:38 Amen. Amen. 12:40 We're go fly down to Guatemala. 12:43 Hello, my name is Jacqueline Reynosa. 12:45 I'm part of GYC Guatemala and I serve as a secretary. 12:49 So GYC Guatemala began here in Tennessee, 12:53 I mean, Kentucky, 12:55 when two young ladies came 12:57 and they were so blessed by the Holy Spirit. 12:59 They said, "We need to have this 13:00 in Guatemala." 13:02 So they went back to the hotel, 13:03 and they saw the booklet and say, 13:04 "Okay, we need a secretary, 13:06 a president and blah, blah, blah." 13:08 And they went back home... 13:10 Just by looking at the booklet 13:11 in your hotel room? 13:13 Exactly. I love it. 13:14 A year later, we had our first conference. 13:16 And last month, we had our fourth conference. 13:19 Every year, like you said, we face obstacles, 13:22 but we see God's hand leading us 13:25 and the miracles that he does for us 13:28 are amazing. 13:29 Last year, it was among September 13:32 and we only had 50 people registered. 13:34 And by that time, we usually have 13:36 more than 200 people. 13:38 We were worried 13:40 because the convention center had a, 13:42 you know, limited amount of people. 13:44 And we were worried 13:45 that it was going to be canceled. 13:47 But we got together with a pastor. 13:49 He's the president of one of the conferences. 13:52 He has always supported us 13:53 and he said don't worry about it. 13:55 I will send 100 delegates to GYC 13:58 and I will pay for them. 14:00 What? 14:01 One hundred? Yes. 14:03 It was a blessing how God opened that door 14:05 and it was a miracle. 14:08 And GYC Guatemala has been working 14:10 in a lot of evangelistic things, 14:12 for example, there was a tragedy, 14:16 one of our volcanoes exploded 14:18 and around 5,000 people were refugees. 14:22 So we went to the camps and brought donations for them. 14:28 We told the story for little kids and everything. 14:31 And we're helping in the needs that they have. 14:34 Yes. Amen. 14:36 Ministering to the needs in your community. 14:38 Love it. 14:39 Costa Rica. 14:41 Hi, this is Rebecca, 14:42 and I am representing GYC Costa Rica. 14:47 Basically, Costa Rica has had a few challenges, 14:51 but we're trying to regroup it 14:53 and especially in my local church, 14:57 we've been trying to do more Bible studies, 15:02 and that's our main focus to create more leaders 15:05 so that we can preach the three angels' message. 15:09 So, I would like to share 15:11 two small testimonies about that. 15:14 And one of them 15:16 is that we opened our house to have Bible studies. 15:20 And so in my house, only my father and I, 15:25 we attend the church. 15:27 And by having these Bible studies, 15:30 the rest of the family has joined, 15:32 and my mother after like eight years 15:36 of not attending church, 15:38 she did like three weeks ago. 15:40 And not only that, 15:41 but she invited a friend of hers, 15:44 who's planning to be baptized already. 15:47 And it's been incredible because you see 15:50 how our friends that we invite, 15:54 they end up inviting more friends. 15:56 So it's been really amazing 15:58 and I encourage you all to open your homes 16:02 to have Bible studies, 16:04 and you will see what God can do in your home, 16:08 especially in those places 16:10 where you have family that doesn't go to church 16:13 or things like that. 16:14 So I'm very helpful. 16:16 Amen. Thank you, Rebecca. 16:18 Man, the gospel is too good to keep to ourselves. 16:21 What's happening Colombia, Leeroy? 16:22 Thank you, Michelle. 16:24 We're so excited to see what's happening in Colombia. 16:26 My name is Leeroy, 16:27 and I get the privilege to see 16:29 and help a little bit with GYC Latin America 16:31 but specifically in Colombia, 16:32 the young people have come to believe 16:34 that GYC is not just a conference, 16:36 but it's actually a movement, 16:37 and so what they decided to do is this, 16:39 they have this particular story 16:41 where out of the conference like this one, 16:44 there were some five, 16:45 specifically five young people that they decided 16:48 that they wanted to do something more for Jesus. 16:50 So they went, they found a dying church. 16:52 They went to this particular place, 16:54 they call it Misiontado. 16:55 They went to this place 16:57 and the five missionaries went to that church 16:59 where there was only five elderly people 17:01 that were in that church. 17:03 They came, 17:04 they started holding Bible studies, 17:06 they started visiting the community. 17:07 And today they have a total of 35 members. 17:10 They have five ongoing small groups 17:13 and they have purchased their own church. 17:15 So this is just fascinating 17:17 how this movement is not just a conference, 17:19 but actually movement. 17:21 We're fascinated, Michelle. 17:22 And this was a group of pastors and evangelists, right? 17:26 No, Michelle, there was just young people 17:28 like the ones that we have right here in front of us, 17:30 young people that believe in the message 17:31 and that message has impacted their hearts, 17:33 they have gone farther beyond that 17:35 to impact other people's lives. 17:36 Amen, God equips us. 17:39 Venezuela. 17:40 All right. 17:41 In Latin America 17:43 actually just to add the information, 17:45 we have presence in eight countries 17:48 in Latin America today. 17:50 Venezuela is one of them. 17:52 They're adapting to the needs of that country. 17:54 And one of the needs is that 17:56 a lot of people they need medical care 17:57 because even hospitals over there, 17:59 they don't have like medications 18:01 or medical supplies etc. 18:03 So they're doing day clinics in different places 18:05 and they partner with these other ministry 18:07 that they have doctors 18:09 and they planted a clinic in one place called Timotes, 18:13 and the day when they actual 18:16 where the truck was driving towards them, 18:19 towards their clinic, 18:21 the truck was carrying the medical equipment 18:23 and also the doctors 18:25 three hours before they getting to the town 18:30 the truck broke down. 18:32 The radiator broke down and the water was everything, 18:34 the car will not, the truck will not even start 18:37 and they're deep in the country uphill, 18:41 so they decided, 18:42 you know what, what can we do, there's no way and they got, 18:45 everybody got out and start praying, 18:47 they just start praying, Lord, this is your clinic. 18:49 What's going on? 18:50 And the driver gets an impression in 18:52 and he gets in impression like 18:54 get into the truck started truck and go non-stop. 18:58 So he tells his wife, 18:59 you know, just get into the truck, 19:01 he gets into the truck and the truck starts 19:03 and the truck start driving 19:05 and everybody's just jumping in there 19:07 as they go, as the truck goes, 19:09 you know, the driver couldn't believe it. 19:13 And they went up hill 19:15 for three hours a truck without radiator, 19:18 and the driver couldn't believe it. 19:19 So he closed his eyes the whole three hours 19:21 so a driver with the eyes closed 19:24 and when he arrived to the place, 19:26 he just got out of the truck and just went to the ground 19:28 and just start crying and saying this is a miracle, 19:31 this is just God could do that. 19:33 So we're seeing this, this type of things 19:34 because there's young people 19:36 they want to follow the movement. 19:37 Amen. 19:39 And you know these young people 19:40 they hardly have food for themselves. 19:42 That's great. 19:44 It's unofficially communists... 19:45 That's right, they find their ways 19:47 but God is blessing them like 19:49 and people are seeing miracles day by day. 19:51 Yeah, they feed their communities, 19:53 have Bible studies with their communities 19:55 and the Lord just provides because they're being faithful. 19:58 We're going to take another flight. 20:00 We're going to go to Europe. 20:03 Tell us about Europe? 20:05 Europe, the church is in trouble. 20:11 Churches are closing down. 20:13 Some would say it's on its last legs. 20:16 But I don't think the church in Europe 20:18 is dead just yet. 20:19 Because there are faithful young people in Europe 20:21 who have organized GYC events over the past few years. 20:27 And that's what I will share about, 20:28 we've had a couple of GYC UK's focus events there. 20:32 We had a GYC Europe in Portugal last year. 20:34 And so the pockets of young people 20:36 they're on fire around Europe, 20:37 they're organized 20:38 and there's other ministries as well 20:40 that are organizing these events. 20:41 And this coming year there's going to be a joint 20:44 for the first time 20:45 GYC Europe and ASI Europe convention in Poland. 20:49 Wow. Okay. 20:51 I guess the link between different generations 20:52 will be working together. 20:54 They are in Poland 20:55 at the end of August 26th to 30th. 20:58 26th to 30th of August. 21:00 Correct. 21:01 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. 21:03 God is working. 21:04 We're going to now go to the Philippines. 21:07 The Philippines have been really blessed 21:09 by this movement. 21:10 We were inspired by GYC. 21:11 We are not an official affiliate yet, 21:13 but soon we will be GYC Philippines. 21:14 Amen. 21:16 And God has been so good. 21:17 We have been facing a lot of challenges 21:19 and those challenges brought us to our knees. 21:22 So prayer is not just an option in the Philippines. 21:24 It is a lifestyle. 21:25 It's the air that we breathe. 21:27 And one of the biggest challenges 21:28 is finances. 21:30 And we could not afford our conference. 21:33 We're kind of self-supporting. 21:35 And we've been doing fundraising 21:37 for how many years, for five years 21:39 but we see that we are all stressed out, 21:41 it doesn't really work. 21:43 So we come to the Lord and pray, 21:44 what does the Lord want us to do? 21:45 And the Lord convicted us to sacrificially give. 21:49 And these are mostly students and missionaries 21:52 and nothing much. 21:54 But you know what? 21:55 When we follow the Lord's will, 21:57 the Lord will provide 21:58 and the Lord used other people who did not, 22:00 whom we did not even ask, 22:02 started giving us money. 22:03 And the Lord just overflowed us with blessings. 22:06 And we were not just able to support our conference 22:08 for the next three years 22:10 that we have not done in any solicitation, 22:12 but we were able to help out other ministries. 22:15 And it's funny 22:17 because miracles after miracles have been happening. 22:19 People, our officers will just count the money. 22:23 That's supposed to be like 40,000 pesos 22:26 inside the envelope 22:27 and discovered why did it become 75,000? 22:30 The Lord just has 1,000 of ways 22:32 to provide for us of which we know nothing. 22:34 We're helping out now five other youth conferences 22:40 in the country. 22:41 And we helped out another Youth Conference 22:43 in Cambodia. 22:45 We were not having any funds and now God multiplied it. 22:48 So Miranda is the one who has been working with us 22:52 from Cambodia. 22:53 Amen. 22:55 I am Miranda Lundby, 22:57 and I work with Jesus 22:58 for Asia Ministries in Cambodia, 22:59 and I'm here to represent the youth of Cambodia 23:03 and the youth leaders 23:04 who are not able to be here and share. 23:07 Due to the support by PYC, 23:09 we were able to have a youth conference this year. 23:13 And there were some struggles but due to God's grace, 23:18 and everything that He's done for us, 23:20 we were able to have it this last week. 23:23 And the young people that came were inspired, 23:26 and we were able to have speakers. 23:28 Again, thanks to PYC. 23:30 Wow. 23:31 And a lot of these young people have signed up 23:35 to get more missionary training in the future, 23:38 to become missionaries in their own country 23:40 because of this event. 23:41 Amen. 23:43 And all of this started 23:44 as a result of two days of prayer 23:47 in a upper room 23:48 where you were all on mats 23:50 just seeking to glorify God, 23:53 just seeking what would bring a smile to your face God. 23:56 And God's been providing. 23:58 Thank you for sharing. 23:59 You know, these are not all the affiliates. 24:02 We have GYC Canada. 24:04 And God is working all over the world. 24:07 He's working in Australia. 24:09 He's working all over. 24:11 He's working in your neighborhood, 24:13 and He's not calling you, 24:15 He's not asking how capable you feel. 24:22 He's simply giving you hope, 24:24 and allowing you to share that hope with others. 24:27 And being faithful, He will provide, 24:29 don't seek the big and the grand 24:32 seek faithfulness, 24:33 and God will provide. 24:35 Thank you. 24:38 Good evening, everybody. 24:40 Good evening. 24:41 And are you guys excited to hear 24:43 three more testimonies from our each day? 24:46 Amen. 24:47 I love testimonies. 24:49 I have three groups of partners here 24:52 that went out in outreach. 24:54 And if you stick to the end, 24:56 I will tell you all the statistics 24:58 that you each been waiting for. 25:00 Our first group is Neu Celeste and Christy, 25:05 tell me what happened at the first door? 25:08 Let's show the photo as well. 25:11 So we knocked on this door and they opened 25:15 and we noticed that the parents are refugees 25:19 from Nepal 25:20 and they did not speak any English, 25:22 but they have a teenager daughter 25:24 that does. 25:26 So you met a Nepali's refugee family. 25:28 They didn't speak any English, but the daughter did. 25:32 And you started asking questions. 25:35 And did she respond? 25:37 Yes, she started signing up for like everything. 25:39 So I started thinking 25:41 she just wanted to get rid of this real fast. 25:42 She's like, yes, yes, yes, yes 25:44 to all the things that we were offering to them, 25:47 including all the spiritual needs 25:50 and the health needs. 25:52 But then she started opening up about her family, 25:56 they also struggle with diabetes, 25:58 but I could say that house smells great, 26:00 when she opened the door, 26:01 I could just smell that dinner was on the way. 26:05 So then she started talking about... 26:09 You guys had a spiritual conversation. 26:11 I'm going to come over to Christy, 26:13 and what did she share with you? 26:16 Well, she shared with us 26:18 that their family's actually is having an issue 26:21 with the church right now that they're going to 26:22 and are looking for a local church, 26:24 a new church to go to and so, 26:26 we're like really excited 26:28 because we came at the right time 26:29 just for them. 26:30 Amen. 26:32 We were there. 26:33 What did this experience 26:35 with this family teach you guys? 26:37 Honestly, yesterday, we were just walking out 26:40 and outside and it's raining 26:42 and it just had me thinking about Jesus. 26:44 You know how He walked and He went for people, 26:50 like, He went for us, like He walked 26:51 just so that we can hear the good news. 26:53 And it just allowed me to understand 26:55 a little bit of how much God loves us. 26:57 Amen. 26:59 Thank you, Christy and Celeste Nue. 27:01 My next pair is Daniel and David. 27:04 David and Daniel. 27:06 Okay, tell me, Daniel, where are you from? 27:10 I'm from Singapore. 27:11 And how many GYCs have you been to? 27:14 This is my first ever GYC. 27:17 First GYC from Singapore and you met somebody in your... 27:23 on your map, who was this person? 27:26 Um, so she was basically a former Adventist, 27:29 and she went on and off to church. 27:32 And I think 27:34 God really answered our prayers, 27:35 because before this outreach we were, 27:39 I was praying that I would want to get 27:41 some experience out of it. 27:43 And I think 27:44 God really did answer our prayers. 27:46 Yeah. So you met a former Adventist. 27:48 Let's talk a little bit more. 27:50 David, tell me what happened at that door? 27:54 Yes, so we met with her 27:56 and she's been sort of disconnected 27:57 with the church 27:59 and she didn't know what she needs to do. 28:01 And she never heard about GYC at all, 28:03 even though she moved here about a year ago. 28:05 And so we spoke to her, 28:06 she was, I asked her if she's through, 28:09 you don't need a Bible study, right? 28:11 And she was like, 28:12 "No, I actually really need a Bible study." 28:14 So we offered a Bible study, 28:16 we pray with her 28:17 and matter of fact that when we left, 28:19 she was so happy to see us and to be reconnected with us 28:23 and she wanted to come to GYC today, 28:25 unfortunately, right before, right after we left, 28:29 she got a call 28:30 from her son's basketball team coach saying, 28:33 hey, the game just moved 28:35 from Sunday to Saturday morning. 28:39 And she was not able to come to GYC today. 28:43 So it's clear that we have, 28:44 we are up against the great controversy 28:48 as we're at the doors, 28:50 because you exchanged numbers with her 28:52 and she was excited to come today. 28:54 But some plans just changed. 28:56 What should we do for her? 28:58 I really, really believe 29:00 that just like what we did at GYC, 29:02 we need to really pray for her without a doubt. 29:04 As a group, we think we pray for her. 29:07 She will truly come closer to Christ. 29:09 Amen. 29:10 Let's keep our contacts in prayer. 29:12 Thank you, David and Daniel. 29:14 Our final group. 29:16 You guys went on outreach, 29:18 and something really interesting happened. 29:20 Tell me what was going on? 29:23 Well, we were in a lower income community. 29:27 So we were just basically knocking on doors 29:30 and handing out some literature. 29:32 And we got down the first street 29:34 and there was a lot of people, 29:36 I think that were either scared to come to the door, 29:38 because of the community that it was, 29:41 or they just weren't at home. 29:43 So we prayed in front of every house. 29:45 And that kind of slowed us down a little bit, 29:47 but I thought it was necessary. 29:49 And when we got done with the first street, 29:51 time was running short. 29:52 So we were like, 29:53 I don't know if we'll be able to do 29:55 the next street in the allowed time. 29:57 But we just stopped and we prayed 29:59 that God would bring people to us, 30:01 or at least show us the divine appointments 30:02 that He had set up. 30:04 So as you did that, 30:05 you prayed for more people and then something happened? 30:10 Yeah, all of a sudden, 30:12 people started coming out of their house. 30:14 Or we'd be walking by and the doors like wide open 30:17 and their storm doors just closed. 30:19 And you can see right through it, 30:21 see him walking around in the house. 30:23 And cars would pull up, they'd get out of the car, 30:26 and we just ran right up to them, 30:28 you know, does this back zigzag back and forth. 30:30 And I think we got a lot more accomplished. 30:32 And there's one woman that really stuck out to us 30:35 because somebody, 30:36 somebody she's related to is just leaving. 30:38 And he's like, yeah, just go up and talk to her. 30:40 She's there. 30:41 So we went up to the door, 30:43 and we just like waved, and she, 30:44 the door is wide open, she come to the door, 30:46 and we started talking and she's like, 30:48 "I'm 65 years old. 30:50 I'm pretty much done with religion stuff." 30:52 And so we just talked 30:53 and all of a sudden we asked if we could pray for her. 30:56 And so we prayed with her on some things 30:57 that were on her heart 30:59 and right as we're going to leave 31:00 she was like, I'm so glad I didn't go 31:01 and hide from you guys. 31:03 I'm glad I opened the door. 31:04 And it was just a blessing. 31:06 Amen. 31:07 Now, this is your... 31:08 How many times have you been to GYC? 31:11 This is my first one. 31:13 Amen. And when were you baptized? 31:16 May of 2019. 31:18 Amen. 31:19 So this is your... 31:20 You were recently baptized, you went out on outreach. 31:23 Amen. 31:24 Had a great experience. 31:26 I wanted to speak. 31:27 Thank you, Gage. 31:28 Let me speak quickly to Sharon. 31:30 When you guys were, you could stand on my right. 31:33 When you guys went on this and people started coming out, 31:36 what did it make you think of? 31:38 It actually made me think of Noah's Ark 31:42 when God brought the animals to the ark to be saved 31:45 because all of a sudden 31:47 there were people in the streets 31:48 that weren't there before, before we prayed. 31:51 Amen. 31:53 The Lord will literally bring us 31:54 to people. 31:55 Now if we can go to the next slide, 31:58 I have some trash bins from a local church. 32:02 This is some of the donations that have come this morning. 32:05 Amen? 32:07 And next slide is some of our, 32:12 the results from our survey. 32:14 And if you look on the screens, 32:16 you'll see that people chose exercise 32:18 and weight loss, stress management, 32:21 improving heart health, 32:22 financial counseling. 32:25 You guys can always go back to this video. 32:26 Let's go to the last one. 32:28 Last slide. 32:31 We had over 1,400, 32:34 we had 34 buses that went out, 1,440 outreach participants, 32:40 and let's just pass out nearly 55,000 GLOW tracts. 32:47 And over 486 people wanted Bible studies. 32:51 I really want to point out 32:53 that there's 210 people 32:55 interested in attending a local church. 32:58 Amen? 32:59 And 156 are interested in a pastoral 33:02 or local church member to go and visit them. 33:06 I pray for these contacts. 33:08 Please keep them in prayer 33:09 and I have some homework to go back to the pastors 33:12 and say, I've done something, 33:14 or GYC has done something for Louisville 33:17 and we're hoping that you guys follow up. 33:20 Amen. 33:22 Have a blessed evening, everyone. 33:29 For those of you who are curious 33:30 on the new incoming leadership. 33:34 Come on up, come on up. Oh, yes. 33:35 Get ready, it's good, good, good, good, good. 33:37 I have a stats here. 33:40 They range from ages 20 to 32, 33:43 average age 25.34. 33:48 They come from all different aspects 33:49 and we have three reoccurring officers. 33:51 I like to just give the mike to them 33:54 and give them an opportunity to say who they are 33:56 and a little bit about their bio. 33:58 So we go here to Caleb Gentler, 34:02 Vice President of Outreach. 34:04 And I am a network engineer. 34:08 Okay. 34:10 Eric Lou. 34:11 Well, I am at Andrews University 34:13 studying graduate degree in masters of divinity. 34:17 So VP of Marketing. 34:18 Here we have Kelsey. 34:20 Hi there. 34:21 I am in Florida as an ultrasound tech. 34:24 VP of logistics. 34:26 Bailey. 34:27 I'm a student studying elementary education 34:29 in California. 34:31 She's our new VP of Programming. 34:33 Josh On. 34:34 I'm a teacher in Lansing, Michigan. 34:37 He's a Treasurer, our new executive secretary, 34:40 Juliana Dunn. 34:41 I'm a teacher in Cedar Lake Michigan. 34:43 And Aubrey, our new General Vice President. 34:47 Agricultural entrepreneur. 34:50 Okay. 34:51 And Andrew Park, a new president. 34:53 Student at Michigan State University. 34:56 We're asking all of you here today 34:58 to hold these young people accountable 35:00 through your prayers. 35:02 I want to ask you 35:03 that if you're willing to partner 35:04 in prayer with us to pray for them, 35:06 you can just raise your hands at this moment. 35:09 I want you all to see these hands 35:12 that not only are you before God, 35:14 but you're also before God's people. 35:16 And these people are promising before God 35:19 to pray for you for these next coming years. 35:22 I want to ask that when the times get rough, 35:26 that you remember the legacy of GYC. 35:29 That legacy is not some organization 35:33 or some institution, 35:35 but it is other e-com officers 35:38 who have gone before you 35:40 who have sacrificed marriages, 35:43 who have put off having children, 35:46 who have sacrificed careers for this movement. 35:52 And when you think about the mentors 35:54 who inspired them, 35:56 the other gallant warriors out there 35:57 and the level of sacrifice. 35:59 And you think about the people who inspired them 36:01 and then them 36:02 and then just keep going to the pioneers 36:04 of the Adventist Church. 36:06 The people who sacrificed for the first great awakening, 36:09 those who sacrifice during the Middle Ages 36:11 throughout the great controversy. 36:13 And you go to the early church, 36:15 each one has been given, 36:18 entrusted the responsibility 36:20 of spreading the three angels' message. 36:22 Think, remember these things. 36:26 There's going to be some days where like, 36:27 I don't feel like it. 36:30 Man, Andrew is annoying. 36:33 Man, why can't Juliana just get it? 36:37 Why does Juliana and Bailey look like each other? 36:40 That's like these questions that you ask first. 36:46 Those are the moments where you remember. 36:49 Nehemiah Chapter 9. 36:51 And you go back 36:53 to how this movement all began 36:54 with Jesus Christ and His level of sacrifice. 36:58 I'm going to ask Israel can come up and pray 37:01 for our new incoming Executive Committee. 37:04 Let's bow our heads for prayer. 37:08 Our gracious Father in heaven, 37:10 we pray upon this group of people, 37:13 your greatest blessing, showers of blessing. 37:17 Father, we pray that they would have open eyes 37:20 to see the weight of the responsibility 37:22 that now rests upon them, 37:25 a responsibility that is not calling them 37:27 to please men and women. 37:30 But it's calling them to please the great Almighty God 37:33 of the universe. 37:35 Father, we pray for a burden so heavy upon them 37:38 that it forces them to fall on their knees, 37:41 looking heavenward 37:43 for grace to carry this movement 37:45 to the next point in earth's history. 37:48 And, Lord, we pray 37:50 that this fear that they have of messing this up, 37:53 would accompany them mingled with the grace, 37:56 the knowledge of the grace of God 37:58 that is ever present always abiding 38:01 and enough to give them the power to accomplish 38:04 every task that you've called them to do. 38:07 Bless them in every aspect of their lives. 38:09 And most importantly, Father, 38:11 we pray that they would be faithful to You 38:13 even unto death. 38:15 This is our prayer in Jesus' name, amen. 39:09 Did you like the video? 39:12 That was done in just a few short days. 39:15 We thank Nick and his wonderful team 39:16 for helping to create that in just a short amount of time. 39:21 Once again, my name is Andrew Park, 39:23 and I'm a student in Michigan. 39:26 And we as a team are very excited 39:29 to volunteer for GYC in this capacity. 39:33 As you saw in the video, 39:35 GYC is going through changes in multiple ways. 39:40 We're currently going through a restructuring 39:42 of the Executive Committee. 39:44 And we are also going through as you've seen before, 39:46 a very big transition in terms of leadership. 39:50 And with that being said, in all transparency, 39:54 we're still working 39:55 through the future direction of GYC. 39:58 Things may look very different, 40:01 or things may not change very much. 40:03 We're still not sure at this time. 40:06 But here's one thing that we do know, 40:09 this movement started in 2002 to inspire young people 40:14 to commit and to have excellence 40:16 in their Christian walk. 40:18 And right now we just entered into 2021, when was that? 40:21 Just a couple of days ago 2020. 40:24 And we recognize that the society 40:26 and young people of 2020 40:28 is different than 2002. 40:30 We're talking about late millennials 40:32 and Gen Z. 40:35 And we want God to show us 40:37 how to challenge the young people 40:40 of this generation to get activated for Him 40:43 and activated for His cause. 40:45 If you can please turn with me to 2 Corinthians 5:14 and 15. 40:50 This is the theme text for next year's conference. 40:54 2 Corinthians 5:14 and 15. 41:11 When you're there you can say amen. 41:16 And it reads, 41:18 "For the love of Christ compels us, 41:22 because we judge thus: that if One died for all, 41:25 then all died, 41:28 and He died for all, 41:29 that those who live 41:30 should live no longer for themselves, 41:33 but for Him who died for them and rose again." 41:37 Our theme for this upcoming year 41:39 is compelled. 41:42 You know, it's really easy, 41:43 it's almost too easy to have ulterior motives 41:46 for serving God. 41:47 You know, we may feel guilt, we may feel like 41:50 okay, this is the only thing I have to do. 41:51 This is the only choice, maybe pressure, 41:54 maybe tradition, 41:55 but we don't want these to be the motivations 41:57 for following God. 42:00 If you can look here, what's, where's the logo, 42:02 is the logo up here? 42:05 The logo is a cross, but it's a cross in motion. 42:11 And the reason why this team chose this logo 42:13 is because the writer who is Paul, 42:16 who wrote the Book of Corinthians, 42:18 he said, he wants us to be compelled. 42:21 He wants us to be moved to follow God. 42:24 And he wants our decision to follow God to be a byproduct 42:27 of a natural experience with Jesus, 42:30 and the Holy Spirit's working on our hearts. 42:34 You know, I don't know about you, 42:36 but I've, I feel like I've seen a lot of amazing things 42:38 here in Louisville, 42:39 a lot of people making decisions, 42:41 a lot of people coming up for decisions for baptism, 42:44 and also for missions. 42:45 And I see the Holy Spirit working on this place. 42:48 And as I'm amazed to see 42:49 how God is working in Louisville, 42:52 we ask that you may pray with us 42:54 that God can help us to understand 42:57 His vision for GYC 42:59 on how to inspire young people 43:02 to take sacrificial initiative for Christ, 43:04 and to help hasten the coming of the Lord 43:07 in this generation. 43:08 Thank you.
