00:27 Homecoming 2018. 00:32 Featuring inspired messages from your 3ABN Family 00:36 and uplifting Christian music, 00:39 all to prepare your heart for the coming of the Lord. 00:45 Happy Sabbath. 00:47 We're so glad for you to joins with us. 00:49 We're here at the 3ABN Worship Centre. 00:52 The sun is already set, it's a beautiful evening, 00:55 Sabbath evening. 00:57 And I'm just thankful, how about you all there 00:59 that the Sabbath is here. 01:00 It's such a great time to spend with the Lord 01:03 and spend with the family of God. 01:04 So we're thankful for all of you that are here 01:07 from many, many states 01:09 and I'm not sure we didn't ask how many countries, 01:11 usually we have a few 01:12 different countries represented. 01:14 But for those of you at home, and we thank you for your love, 01:18 and your prayers, and financial support of 3ABN 01:22 as we endeavor to take this great gospel of the kingdom 01:24 into all the world. 01:26 We have something, and I don't know 01:27 if anybody up here like surprises, 01:29 very few people probably liked to be put on the spot 01:33 or to have any kind of surprise going on, 01:35 but I just kind of feel like it tonight. 01:37 Somebody needs to be surprised up here. 01:40 So I think I'm going to just... 01:43 Greg, I'm going to turn it over to Greg. 01:45 So this is live television, right? 01:47 Yeah, this is live television. 01:49 When you have live TV, 01:50 you never know what's going to happen, right? 01:52 That's right. 01:53 As you know I've been married to Jill now 01:55 for 16 wonderful years. 01:57 All right. She is the woman of the word. 02:01 She is a wonderful wife to me. And I'm a blessed man. 02:04 And I'm going to let you know our little secret. 02:07 You are not supposed to tell the age of your wife, right? 02:12 She is going to turn 40, 40. 02:15 She looks young, doesn't she? 02:17 All right. 02:20 In October. 02:21 So I have worked very hard on trying to surprise you. 02:25 So you don't know what's going to come next. 02:26 So you all get to participate in the surprise. 02:28 You're not aware, are you? 02:31 No, she's not. 02:33 So I'll tell you what, I am so blessed. 02:36 I tend to have a wonderful wife 02:38 and God has just given me wonderful wife in the Lord 02:40 and I'm very blessed. 02:41 And this is just the beginning here of the surprise 02:43 here in the next couple of minutes. 02:45 Let's sing happy birthday. Yeah. 03:50 All right. 03:51 And let's introduce the parents. 03:53 Now, yeah, boy, 03:55 I'm not the one going to their beds. 03:58 I have wonderful in-laws. 03:59 This is Dr. Jim Penney and Kathy. 04:01 Penney, who raised my wonderful wife 04:04 from, of course, when she was born. 04:06 Thank you to both of you for having my wife. 04:10 But I'm so thankful for them 04:11 because I call them mom and dad. 04:13 And they have accepted me into the family 04:14 which is a precious thing. 04:16 Do you want to say anything, babe? 04:17 Because we want to have a prayer. 04:19 Speech. Yeah, speech. 04:20 We want to have a prayer before we leave the stage, 04:21 Pastor John. 04:25 They don't like dead time on television, live television. 04:30 Thank you, Sweetheart. 04:34 I am so blessed to be part of this ministry, 04:39 to have a small part in helping to spread the gospel. 04:42 The 3ABN team is the best family ever. 04:48 And you all are part of the family. 04:51 And I'm so blessed that Greg asked me 04:55 to be his wife. 04:58 He's a man of God. 04:59 And thank you, Sweetheart. 05:01 You're welcome. Were you surprised? 05:04 I have never in 16 years of marriage, 05:07 he has never surprised me, never. 05:09 That's what I told everyone. So I worked really hard. 05:11 Thank you for everyone that was involved. 05:13 But he's tried, but you always found out. 05:16 That's right. 05:17 He's tried many times to surprise me, 05:19 many times to do stuff. 05:20 And I always have a sneaking suspicion, 05:22 something's going to happen. 05:24 We all had to tiptoe around 05:25 and keep everything out of the way. 05:27 This was an easy, but it worked out, Greg. 05:30 Thank you, Jill, so much for what you do 05:32 for the cause of God as general manager. 05:34 Done incredible work for the Lord, both of them. 05:37 And we're so thankful for Greg and Jill 05:40 for what they've done. 05:42 Pastor John. 05:44 Pastor John, we want to have a prayer please for Jill. 05:46 Yeah, I wouldn't pray 05:48 all the way over there for Jill. 05:49 You know, periodically I stop in the Jill's office 05:52 and we talk about spiritual things, 05:54 life, and the ministry. 05:56 And I always appreciate her humility. 05:59 'Cause we watched Jill, 06:01 when I first came here and Jill, I don't know how... 06:06 You were here before I got here a little bit before. 06:08 I would call her Julie 06:10 'cause I never remember her name. 06:12 You know, I'd always say, 06:14 "Well, Julie, play that for me." 06:15 And she'd always wonder who I meant. 06:17 I meant, Jill 06:18 so I call the Julie Jill till I got Jill. 06:21 So, but I've seen the Lord... 06:23 Wasn't your fault, Jill. 06:24 Jill is really an easy name. 06:26 It is. 06:28 Some of us are getting older, you know. 06:33 Danny should know, right? 06:37 Praise the Lord. 06:39 We're going to keep playing basketball till we can. 06:40 Anyway, but we're going to pray and thank the Lord 06:43 for her humility, her dedication. 06:45 And the only thing I always tell Jill is 06:47 just relax a little bit. 06:49 She never stops working. 06:51 And they have confirmed that yes, 06:53 they're going to take couple time 06:54 'cause that's the key to successful 06:56 in growing relationship. 06:58 But tonight, we're going to just thank the Lord 07:00 for another year of life for you, 07:01 and for wonderful husband, wonderful parents, 07:04 and for the work 07:05 that you have put into this ministry, 07:07 and we know that when the kingdom turns, 07:08 we know that you will hear, 07:09 "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." 07:11 Pastor CA, join me and let's just surround her. 07:14 Come on, Yvonne, we're going to pray 07:16 because I believe that this is not just a blessing 07:18 that one can appreciate, 07:20 but that we all can be participate in. 07:23 Loving Father in heaven, 07:25 it's amazing as Greg said, 40 years ago, you saw that 07:28 this ministry would need fresh eyes, 07:33 a dedicated heart, a humble servant. 07:37 And, Lord, in Your sovereign way, 07:42 You molded and shaped her life to become a vessel of honor. 07:47 And, Father, we've seen Jill grow in so many ways. 07:51 We saw her on her days of humble growth, 07:54 learning different aspects of the ministry. 07:56 And just going about 07:58 what those small and great task in such a humble way, 08:01 and You've looked for the servant 08:03 that will become who she has become today. 08:07 And, Father, we glorify You 08:08 for pouring into her heart in her life every day. 08:11 First a wonderful supportive husband, 08:13 parents that love her, 08:15 our ministry team 08:16 that surrounds her in respectful way, 08:18 and the heart that 08:20 opens her eyes in the morning to know that 08:21 this is another day, 08:23 and I'm going to give my best for the kingdom of God. 08:26 And so blessed her today, Lord, 08:27 in the turning of another year of life, 08:29 but we pray that the days, the months, the weeks, 08:32 however much time is before this precious soul 08:35 that she will remember, it is a journey 08:38 and the destination is the kingdom. 08:40 So may she go forward with the faithful heart, 08:43 doing her best that one day when the clouds part, 08:47 and her name is called, 08:49 there will be a crown of righteousness for this one 08:52 who has fought a good fight, finished the course, 08:55 and kept her faith, 08:57 and we thank You for what You have done 08:59 and what You will continue to do, 09:01 in Jesus' precious and holy name, amen. 09:05 All right. Thank you very much. 10:58 You sound good tonight. 10:59 You happy in the Lord? 11:01 Everybody happy in the Lord? 11:03 While I was singing, 11:04 I thought of something last night 11:05 and we're gonna have NAPS. 11:07 NAPS can get ready to come on out. 11:08 But last night, I talked to Melody, 11:11 they live in Nashville. 11:12 And so coming up and she said, 11:16 Baby Faith, we call her Baby Faith. 11:18 She's 11 years old, and Jonah is 12, 11:20 and she said Faith was watching you on TV 11:23 and she said, "Mom, is this live program? 11:27 Is this happening right now?" 11:28 And she said, "Yeah." 11:29 And she said, "I know what Papa's thinking about..." 11:32 I'm out here talking like now, she said, "What's that?" 11:35 She said, "Me." 11:36 And so today, I took her on a four wheel ride and Jonah, 11:41 and I said, Faith, I said, 11:43 "How did you know that Papa is thinking about you? 11:46 Why did you think I was thinking about you?" 11:48 She said, "Because you were looking right at me 11:50 through the screen." 11:52 Is that too cute or what? 11:54 Now, come on. 11:55 That's all right. 11:56 Well, we got to NAPS. 11:58 Come on, Miss Darla, how're you doing, Honey? 11:59 I'm doing well. 12:00 All right. Good. Good. 12:02 So glad to have you guys here. 12:03 Yeah, all of you familiar with the NAPS group? 12:05 Tell us what it stands for? 12:07 NAPS stands for the National Association 12:09 for the Prevention of Starvation. 12:13 I love this group. 12:15 And I've watched them for many, many, many years. 12:17 I don't know if it goes back 20 years or how many, 12:19 but a long ways, 12:20 it goes back from group from Oakwood College. 12:23 And these kids usually take as much as a year off of school 12:27 to go do mission work around the world. 12:30 Amazing work that they do. 12:32 Amazing dedication. 12:33 My hats off to all of you. 12:35 I love you. Appreciate you. 12:37 And I brag about you around the world. 12:39 And I really like it 12:40 because I played basketball with them. 12:42 And they gave me a plaque that says, 12:44 "Because of your unusual athletic ability, 12:47 we name you an honorary Negro man." 12:49 So I've got it in my office and then CA Murray, 12:53 Pastor Murray said, "We're not Negros anymore." 12:56 So I said, "What are we, right?" 12:58 And he said, "Well, we're African-American." 13:00 So I talked to them. 13:02 I said, "I want an African-American plaque." 13:04 So they got me a new one and it says, 13:06 "Because of your unusual athletic abilities, 13:09 we name you an honorary African-American." 13:12 So there I am. There we have it. 13:14 Thank you so much for that. 13:15 That's a big compliment, you know. 13:17 We love y'all. 13:19 So tell us what's happening with NAPS 13:21 and some of the great things that God is doing? 13:23 Well, to be perfectly honest, 13:26 I'm overwhelmed with God's goodness, 13:28 He's been doing so, so, so much. 13:32 Not just with NAPS, but youth around the world. 13:35 For those who don't know, 13:37 NAPS has been around now for 40 years. 13:39 We just celebrated our 40th anniversary. 13:43 And it's really a anniversary of God's faithfulness, 13:47 just how God has been faithful back then 13:50 and He still being faithful now. 13:52 As we speak, NAPS has three main ministries, 13:54 I would say, one being our school. 13:58 We have a school that practices true education, 14:01 where children are able to come and learn about Christ, 14:04 yes, but also learn how to use their hands 14:07 and do mission for the Lord. 14:09 So they're becoming missionaries 14:11 before they can even drive a car. 14:13 Amen? 14:14 And then not only that, but we have a wellness center, 14:18 a wellness center where people can come 14:19 and be treated with diet for their diabetes, 14:22 hypertension, even cancer. 14:24 And we have seen a 100% success. 14:28 And when I say 100, 14:29 because whenever you do something for the Lord, 14:31 you can't fail because our God doesn't fail. 14:33 And not only that, 14:35 we have a youth training center. 14:37 Our youth training center, 14:38 our main one is based in Huntsville, 14:40 Alabama as some of you may know. 14:42 But we also have youth training centers 14:45 all over the world. 14:46 We have 14 active branches around the globe. 14:50 And right now I'm going to ask Torrey Price, my husband, 14:53 actually to come and share just a little bit 14:56 of what God has been doing with our branches 14:59 around the globe. 15:01 Well, I praise the Lord for the opportunity to walk, 15:04 and to walk and talk with our branches. 15:06 And you've seen where when you have a child, 15:09 and the child is learning to crawl, 15:10 and they finally first start taking those steps. 15:13 It's powerful to see 15:14 our branches take those steps as well, 15:16 because missions are great, 15:18 but I get excited when the mission's over 15:20 because when it's over, our branches are now going out 15:23 and continuing the work while we're gone. 15:25 I think about our branch in Haiti, 15:27 where they went into an area doing Bible Studies, 15:29 going door-to-door, knocking on doors. 15:32 And as a result of the studies that they were able to do, 15:34 the community says, 15:36 "Well, we need a place to worship." 15:37 And so the group got together with a local church, 15:39 and they started 15:40 the construction of a church in that area. 15:43 Amen? Amen. 15:44 And we praise the Lord 15:45 that they are continuously going forward 15:47 doing the work of the Lord. 15:48 Or I even think of our branch in Zambia, 15:51 how our branch in Zambia has been able to respond 15:54 to certain disasters, famines that have happened, 15:57 because they've been able to go out 15:58 and provide food for people, 16:00 and most importantly, the love of God. 16:02 Or I even think of our branch in Ethiopia, 16:04 just two years ago, this branch started up again, 16:08 and now they're going out, young people. 16:10 I think the youngest one is about age 10, 16:12 all the way up, 16:14 spreading the gospel and the good news. 16:15 They're going door-to-door, knocking on doors, 16:18 spreading the gospel message, 16:19 and just sharing His love with everyone there. 16:22 And it's powerful 16:23 because even as we go around the world, 16:25 you may be have... 16:27 You may know this. 16:28 But last time when we went to Zimbabwe, 16:29 the first time, there were young children 16:32 who later came to the States for their education, 16:35 and became missionaries with NAPS. 16:37 And even right now, as we speak, 16:38 we have an Ethiopian native with our group right here. 16:42 But right now, I want to say that 16:44 we're not just doing international relief. 16:47 Sometimes the work 16:48 needs to also happen right here at home. 16:51 If you can't help your neighbor, 16:52 then what makes you think you'll have the heart 16:54 to help someone far away? 16:56 And so we start the work right at home, 16:59 and what we've seen is God 17:01 uses the medical work as a wedge 17:03 to not just help heal, 17:06 but to bring spiritual healing, which is eternal. 17:08 So right now, I'm asking for Amelie 17:11 just to share a bit of her testimony. 17:14 Yes, it's just been such a blessing. 17:16 I just graduated in May, 17:18 and I felt God calling me to take a year off 17:22 after I graduate, before I go to graduate school, 17:24 to just work in His field. 17:27 And I went down to our southern campus 17:30 and our wellness center and clinic, 17:31 and I've been working 17:33 with our board certified physician there. 17:34 And it's just been such an amazing experience, 17:37 even in our wellness sessions 17:39 and bringing other people coming in 17:42 and seeing the amazing miracles right before our eyes, 17:46 every day miracles being seen. 17:48 We are able to provide health in the home 17:53 to those who are homebound in the area. 17:55 We go in, and we assess them, 17:57 and we just help them try to change their lifestyle, 18:00 not through medications or anything like that 18:02 but through prayer and just lifestyle changes. 18:06 And it's just been such a blessing. 18:08 We even have a testimony of a session 18:11 that we had last month. 18:13 And a gentleman came in, and when he first came in, 18:17 he was barely able to walk without a cane or a walker. 18:21 Well, they're going to get to see it, right? 18:22 Yes, it's gonna be amazing. 18:24 We actually have a video. 18:26 So you'll get to hear his testimony for yourself, 18:28 I don't want to spoil anything. 18:29 So you can watch the video even right now. 18:32 We're going to show you a video so you can see 18:34 and hear his testimony. 18:38 I want you to know that 18:40 with the Lord's help and guiding healing hands 18:43 and your wonderful staff have been able to take in. 18:47 When I came, I could not keep my balance, 18:52 couldn't hardly walk. 18:54 I've just recently had a little toe taken off, 18:57 because I'm such a bad diabetic. 19:00 And since I've been here with your trained staff, 19:03 your present, I've taken them, 19:06 being able to use God's healing power. 19:09 I've taken... 19:11 My insulin has been cut from 100 units 19:14 twice a day to 25 units twice a day. 19:17 And they've taken me off of three different medicines 19:21 upon your doctor's supervision in here. 19:25 And I want to thank you all so much. 19:27 It has helped me, my whole life is changed, 19:31 my food, how I do, plant-based diet. 19:36 Who know, plant based lifestyle is no God no more, 19:41 it is my lifestyle. 19:43 It's one of the best things that's ever happened to me, 19:46 getting ounce of impurities out of me, plenty of water, 19:49 plenty of outsides and exercise, 19:53 just absolutely wonderful. 19:55 And I have enjoyed being here so much. 19:58 In the few days, I've just been here. 20:00 I've been here for four days and my whole life has changed. 20:04 I never thought of anything. 20:06 Year and a half, 20:07 I have not been able to walk it out 20:09 since I got out of the hospital. 20:10 But now, I can walk like a regular person again. 20:14 It's absolutely been fantastic. 20:16 And thank you all so much 20:18 for what you've all done for me. 20:20 Praise the Lord. 20:28 We could go on forever 20:30 because when you're serving the Lord, 20:32 when you make the sacrifice, when you stay prayerful, 20:35 God promises success. 20:37 I challenge all of us 20:39 to realize that God is coming soon. 20:41 Let us do the one thing 20:42 He commissioned us to do and go. 20:46 This group, year after year, you see them here. 20:49 They come up, they volunteer from Huntsville, 20:52 they come up and work with our young people here. 20:55 And I know Trinity, my youngest one, 20:58 she always loved it when NAPS group came. 21:01 Papa is NAP? 21:02 I said, "They're coming. Don't worry about it. 21:04 They'll be here." 21:05 But you all have done such a incredible job. 21:07 They don't ask for anything in return. 21:10 What I'd like for you to do and you think about it, 21:12 and you pray about it. 21:13 Even tonight after the program, 21:15 when you see any of these folk with the NAPS shirts on, 21:18 just write a check and say, 21:20 "Make it to NAPS, and just write a check, 21:22 and hand it to them, 21:24 and you can't put your money in any better place 21:28 for what they're doing 21:29 for these young people to encourage them. 21:31 And I've seen the work they have done 21:33 around the world. 21:34 So you think about it, you pray about it. 21:36 At home, we'll be able to put up an address, 21:39 and if we don't get it up, and you don't get to see, 21:42 you can always call 3ABN, and we'll give you the address. 21:45 But, Darla, we love you guys. 21:47 We so respect you 21:48 and for what you do for the cause of God, 21:51 and I'm going to ask our viewers to support 21:53 so you can continue to do what you're doing, 21:56 making a difference in the lives of people 21:58 around the world. 21:59 Thank you so much.
