Can we say that again 06:00 by the grace of God, 06:02 5, nothing else but the grace of God, 06:05 we will serve the Lord by the grace of God. I preach this 06:08 message. 06:09 And so you pray for me. It's been a journey 06:12 and understanding that in our weaknesses, strength is still 06:15 made perfect. 06:17 So let us go to the Lord in Prayer, 06:20 gracious father in heaven. 06:23 It is never about us is always about you. 06:27 And I pray, Lord, as I deal with this delicate topic, 06:30 the power 06:32 to overcome Sen 06:34 that you alone will be exalted. 06:38 Get my mind the clarity that it needs 06:41 for your holy spirit to have his way. 06:44 And when it is said and done 06:47 made that which seems confusing to humanity, 06:50 be clear because of divinity 06:53 in Jesus name. I pray 06:56 a man. 06:59 The power to overcome Sen 07:02 this topic is one that 07:06 I believe has been at the forefront of discussion for 07:10 millennia. 07:12 How do you deal with something so 07:15 deadly ascent? 07:18 And I think still today we're grappling with it. 07:21 And so this morning, my aim is not to become theologian, 07:25 but to simply become a conduit through which Jesus Christ can 07:28 be seen 07:30 and the gospel can be distilled to the simplicity 07:34 that the cross has presented it. 07:37 But we begin with an article I read about understatements, 07:41 the publisher of the contents titled It The 15 greatest 07:45 understatements of all time. 07:47 I'm not going to issue a time of 59 pick what I called 07:51 my top 6 understatements, 07:54 for example, 07:56 if you've been around long enough when Japanese Emperor, 07:59 Hirohito, sir, ended 08:02 to America during World War 2 08:04 in an interview, he said the war in the Pacific has not 08:08 necessarily develop in the favor of Japan 08:15 when asked what it was like to run against Jamaican 08:20 sprinter Usain Bolt 08:23 who set a world 100 meter record. 08:26 Olympian Walter Dix said he was fast 08:33 after the oxygen tanks of Apollo 13 exploded 200,000 08:36 miles from Earth. 08:38 Astronaut Jim Lovell radio, NASA in Houston and said 08:42 we have a problem 08:45 when serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer who killed and 08:48 dismembered 17 males 08:51 was caught and arrested in court. He said before the 08:54 judge, 08:55 I really messed up this time. 08:58 That's an understatement. 09:01 I have to volcanic ash cause all 4 inches of British Airways 09:04 flight 09:05 number 9 to fail while approaching Indonesia 09:09 pilot Eric Moody said ladies and gentlemen, this is your 09:12 captain speaking. 09:15 We have a small problem. 09:17 All 4 engines have stopped and we're doing our best to get 09:20 them going again. I trust that you're not in too much 09:23 distress. 09:26 That's 09:27 an understatement. 09:30 And when Donald Rumsfeld in opposition to the war in Iraq 09:35 was asked 09:36 why he opposed it, he said, you know, death has a tendency to 09:40 encourage a depressing view of war. 09:45 Thats 09:46 an understatement. 09:48 But allow me to introduce one of my all 09:51 and I believe this is the understatement of all. 09:53 Understatements 09:55 sin is a big problem, 10:00 but we will never appreciate how much 10:02 and how great a CD we have 10:05 until we understand how great 10:07 the Senate is. 10:09 So let me introduce the question what ever happened to 10:12 Sen 10:14 when was 10:16 the challenge to overcome Sen less important, then 10:21 music? 10:24 How did Christian entertainment 10:27 successfully eclipse 10:31 the journey to overcome something so tenacious ascent? 10:35 How did the Christian Church forget that its greatest 10:39 call is not to entertain 10:42 but to lead somebody to victory over Sen 10:47 this generation is suffering from a limited and in adequate 10:52 understanding of the ignominiously carcinogen and 10:56 lethality of Sen 10:59 because cent in fact could kill you. 11:02 The problem is the rejection of Gaza law has left Christianity 11:05 unaware of the impact of Sen. That's why revelation 3 verse 11:09 17 says, 11:11 you know, we're so simple that we do not know that we on the 11:14 wretched miserable, poor line and make it 11:17 one of the effects of Sen is its ability to blind us to our 11:22 own real condition. So before I get into the heart of the 11:26 message, allow me to introduce Sen 11:29 since the nemesis, the arch enemy, the antagonists, 11:32 Santa has been around for a long time. 11:36 San lives in every community and every human heart 11:40 Singh holds the patent for every evil creation 11:44 among some of its inventions, our sorrow, crying pain, 11:47 death, lying, stealing coverage of snus, adultery, fornication, 11:53 sexual immorality, uncleanness lewdness idolatry saw Surrey, 11:58 shall I continue. 12:00 Witchcraft, hatred, contention, deception, jealousy, outburst 12:06 of RAF selfishness, self worship, self-love, dissension 12:11 Harris Env mur de drunkenness and revelry. And that's just a 12:16 limited list. 12:17 What's in does centers tasteless, odorless and 12:22 colorless, 12:24 but it will destroy you in small doses. 12:27 Send created racism but says he's not prejudice. 12:31 Sin is an equal opportunity killer. It excludes no one 12:34 based on race from the grave 12:37 sin does not love us like us and could care less about us. 12:41 Sin wants us to hurt. 12:43 I and I 12:45 sin wants us to live divided, derided and undecided. 12:50 Because of sin human actions misinterpreted human thought 12:54 saw corrupted and human nature is infected and the reason is 12:59 clear. Romans, 3 verse. 23 for all have sinned and fall in 13:04 short of the glory of God. 13:06 Sin is responsible for every war and every human casualty 13:13 sin rejoices over division and laments over unity. That's why 13:17 the church on work on unity. More than division can use a 13:20 man. 13:21 One would think that something so hideous would be easy to 13:24 spot but Sen knows how to hide itself. It has been camouflaged 13:29 concealed in the skies, reinterpreted exalted and 13:32 embraced and the moral deficit of our world today is steadily 13:36 increasing because the standard by which Sen is defined has 13:40 been 13:41 disregarded, ignored and criticize 13:45 and then you ask Christians theologically and spiritually 13:48 want to send and we all have the same non thoughtful ansa 13:53 which is scriptural correct. Sen is the transgression of the 13:57 law. But consider the impact of that text for a moment. The 14:00 Senate is the transgressions of the law. 14:04 A man who violate civil laws of the land is considered a 14:08 criminal is not. 14:10 He is in rebellion against the government of the land and the 14:14 citizens of the land. 14:16 He does not deserve pity and sympathy. He deserves 14:20 punishment. 14:21 That's when I think about how God is dealt with us. Praise 14:25 the Lord. He has not dealt with us according to our cent. 14:31 That was terrible. If God has had dealt with us according to 14:37 ICE and I would be preaching to no one. This morning 14:41 matter of fact, I will be preaching 14:47 the reality of it is man's laws and not always in harmony with 14:49 God's laws. 14:51 Man's lawn, God's law are not always synonymous. 14:55 When you look at the world today and the things that are 14:57 happening in our world today on so many different fronts, 15:00 we are living in a society where the darkest things up 15:03 phrased and the most glorious things are being said strangle 15:07 out of even the church. 15:10 But churches begin to become camps for the LGBT community 15:13 rather than the foundation upon which deliverance from Senate 15:17 Screech. There's something wrong. 15:20 The church is becoming a place of tolerance for Sen rather 15:23 than victory over Sen. 15:26 And I encourage you to day no matter how popular it becomes a 15:29 no matter how much it's legislated. 15:32 Remember the words of doctor Luke? Look, 16 versus 15 for 15:35 what is highly esteemed among men 15:39 is an abomination in the sight of God. 15:42 Don't ever allow yourself to the be entertained into 15:47 accepting the hideous nature of sin. You know what happens? 15:51 They put him on television shows and we laugh 15:54 until we realize that what was really dark and central is no 15:58 longer darken simple, but just funny, 16:01 he will have our way into accepting those things that are 16:04 a reproach in the sight of God. That's what you've got to. 16:07 You've got to really take the time to filter what comes into 16:10 your home. 16:12 What comes into your mind what you expose yourself to. 16:16 And even though it may be rated PG, 16:20 it may not be rated G. 16:25 So we've got a filter on mines because this is it 16:29 taking on the art and the art of this generation is the 16:32 destruction of human nature, degrading it to the point where 16:36 it is irreversible. 16:38 I've seen the impact of sin not only in the world but on my own 16:41 life and praise God God does not accept sin. He demonstrates 16:46 his love toward centers. 16:51 When you think about 16:52 the perfection of God's law 16:54 when the perfect holy law of God is violated, 16:57 it is not a civil crime. It is a moral crime 17:01 man becomes rebellious not against the authorities of 17:05 Earth alone but against the government of God. And Sen 17:09 brings us 17:10 out of harmony with the Purity, Holiness and goodness of God. 17:14 And since goal 17:16 is our extinction. 17:20 Let's just remember that 17:22 it is our extinction. If the devil can shorten his attack on 17:26 us, he would take us from sin to death but praise God in 17:30 between. That is the grace of God. 17:36 If you forget about the power of sin, the antediluvian record 17:41 might awaken your understanding. 17:44 Look, 17 29. But on the day that Lott went out of sight on 17:47 that rain fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them 17:51 all, 17:53 not a one of them. Can you imagine the generation where 17:56 the thoughts and intentions of their hearts only evil? How 17:59 long 18:02 continually? 18:04 And we're getting to that place today. 18:07 I have made to find the decisions about even social 18:10 media because social media is really not social 18:15 because when you get on social media, you no longer 18:17 communicate with the person sitting right next to you. 18:21 As one young lady said to the other sitting in my office 18:24 number of years ago, 18:27 how was to ignoring them? And they said to one another, 18:29 did you get that? 18:30 And I didn't hear anything. I said get what they said. 18:33 I just sent you a text 18:35 that was sitting right there, just turn around and talk to 18:37 them 18:38 and some of us drawn and so much by social media instead of 18:41 instead of telling a wife who is one foot away from us may be 18:44 inches away. Honey, I love you. We put it on Facebook until the 18:48 whole world. Honey, I love you. Just turn around. He a wife and 18:51 tell right there, come on somebody saying that 18:54 that that media has drawn us and we've got to declare the 18:56 whole world. I love my wife. And she said want to just tell 18:59 me 19:02 and some people, you know what? 19:05 I'm in Wal-Mart, who cares? 19:12 Social media has made some of us stupid. 19:16 You know, I just I just got out of the shower. 19:19 That is a detail that no one really needs to know about. 19:23 But that's what sense does it docking system makes a slaves 19:27 to something that God never intended us to be a slave to. 19:31 The reality of it is it's it is not destroyed. Send will 19:35 destroy us. And so create sickness created so many ways. 19:39 So many inventive ways to bring us to the point where it catch. 19:42 It's become more important than our study on how to live in 19:48 harmony with the power that God has made available to us. 19:52 The reality is if Sen is not destroyed, sin will destroy us. 19:57 You know, we've all heard the shocking phrase for extreme 20:00 circumstances. So many use it today. 20:04 What I'm about to tell you is just the tip of the iceberg, 20:08 the impact of that statement he's often followed by the 20:10 question. You mean to tell me 20:13 there's more. 20:17 The reality is when the ice for a debt, something Titanic was 20:21 unveiled, there is a whole lot more. And when you study the 20:26 topic of send in salvation, there's a lot more that we 20:30 don't see. Then we actually do see 20:35 icebergs are hardly understood and deceptive because what's 20:38 below the surface exists mostly in on that a nation you see 20:42 many of us don't go below the surface when it comes to 20:45 studying about Senate salvation. We stay on the top. 20:48 We water skier Christianity. 20:51 But when we go below the surface, 20:55 understanding of salvation and Sen 21:01 to see the word expands is an understatement. 21:07 You have to be in the ministry. 37 years. 21:11 I just cited or let me really spend time on studying the only 21:14 thing that could keep me out of heaven 21:19 and let me focus on the only one that can get me into 21:22 haven't cheeses 21:23 when I was young man, I would preach all the lists. 21:27 You know what I could argue. I could argue any one of the 28 21:30 fundamentals and when, 21:32 but I've got to the point, my life as I get older, 21:35 I want to fit. I do want to win the fundamentals. I want to 21:38 introduce to you the most fundamental of all. She says 21:41 not displaying not discounting any of our fundamentals. 21:44 They all very necessary. But sometimes we get so focused 21:48 on the 28th that we missed the one and his name is Jesus. 21:52 Come on. Somebody say that 21:54 such is the case. 21:56 We often look at salvation. We even in our limited 21:59 understanding of its we are saying, but I asked people when 22:02 they say we are saved because somebody asked me that once and 22:05 I confuse them, I could see it all over their faces that are 22:08 you saying just that? I am. I am being and I will be 22:13 they said or you say this that I am. I am being and I will be 22:19 there's no answer. 22:21 I'm safe from the penalty of Sen. I'm being safe from the 22:24 power of Sani. Not one day will be safe from the presence of 22:28 sentiments about 22:30 so what's below the surface is far greater than what's above 22:33 the surface. 22:35 So this morning to tell you about what's more, what's below 22:38 the surface 22:39 with salvation is better. Understood. The reality will 22:43 eliminate the perception. 22:45 So let's begin with the basics, Matthew, one, 21 22:49 and she will bring forth the sun 22:51 and you shall call his name Jesus for. He will save is 22:58 people from there since no sweet. Its statement could have 23:04 been made. 23:06 I think of the children of Israel were awake when Jesus 23:09 was about to be introduced to the back door of the major. 23:13 They would have been rejoicing that they could finally get rid 23:16 of all the feasts, 23:18 killing all the Lans, 23:20 all the ceremonial services. 23:22 What am I saying? It's strange to me today. 23:25 I would need 7 day Adventists who think that they could be 23:27 saved by keeping fees. 23:35 It's an eclipse. 23:36 It's an eclipse. 23:39 We're touches. 23:41 It served its purpose at the time it was instituted. But if 23:44 you think that you can at your salvation by keeping feast, 23:47 you will exhaust yourself only to realize that you are still 23:50 lost. 23:54 When you read that verse, the benefit of that first is only 23:58 for those that accept the invitation to be his people. 24:02 He shall save his people from their scent. You see friends, 24:07 the tip of the salvation iceberg obscures the complete 24:11 picture. 24:12 But when the fog lifts salvation from Sen becomes 24:15 overwhelming and powerful, 24:19 you not even I-40 years. Anybody married more than 40 24:22 years and that 24:24 raise your hand. Show you a great here. Come and help me 24:26 out. 24:27 Raise your hand. 24:29 You know, you didn't get there on a flowery bed of ease 24:35 some husbands and looking straight forward. 24:37 [MUSIC] 24:40 He had to make it a 40 years. You you have to want to make it 24:43 to 40 years 24:45 through the good and the bad, right, 24:47 the prosperity and the adversity, 24:51 the sickness and the health, 24:53 the stupidity and the sensibility. 24:56 It's all in the am. I right? 24:59 You know, when when when a couple that's a matter for more 25:01 than 40 years goes out in society, 25:03 they declared don't let anyone else now 25:07 how stupid we have been for the last 40 years. 25:11 Now. Why am I saying that 25:14 marriage is 25:16 to the husband and wife, but the relationship between Jesus 25:20 and his church should be? 25:23 And I've learned and I continue to learn and my wife is still 25:25 teaching me 25:27 that 25:28 we're teaching each other, 25:30 that there is an endurance that marriage gives you 25:34 that nothing else can give you. 25:37 It teaches you that 25:39 in spite of who you are, 25:41 you can be something better 25:43 in spite of what you've done, you can still be a better 25:47 husband. You can still be a better wife. 25:51 You can have a better marriage. 25:53 You can get to the place where you don't have to fight each 25:55 other's weaknesses. But you praise each other's strengths. 26:00 You love each other in spite of not because of 26:05 and then you get up and you realize there's nothing that I 26:08 can do 26:09 to get my wife to make breakfast moment for me. 26:11 She makes it for me because she loves me. 26:16 I take out the garbage because I love her. 26:22 We travel together because we want to keep that love strong. 26:27 My my using that illustration 26:30 I've learned in my battle with Sen 26:34 the Lord has been there on my good days and my bad day, 26:38 my weekdays and my strong case, 26:41 he's been there to see me through and to see me in spite 26:45 of 26:46 not always in light of. 26:48 And so today I want to talk about something that, 26:52 by the way, so far, I've just laid the foundation. 26:55 I've got 30 minutes to give you the rest of the salmon 26:59 because the fog is about to lift 27:03 on Jesus. 27:05 We as a church, we have so much knowledge. We've got the read 27:08 books. 27:10 We've got the 28 fundamentals. We got institutions that most 27:13 of us should be in. 27:15 We've got educational institutions. We've got health 27:18 institutions. 27:19 We've got even valley 27:21 we've got while would we've got black hills 27:25 and all that stuff is finally 27:27 a blessing. 27:29 It's good. It teaches us things we need to know, 27:33 but don't ever confuse all of that. But she says 27:38 we don't have allowed all of that stuff 27:40 because given to us to get rid of chases 27:46 because you're not going to find salvation 27:49 indeed. In valley you'll find in the lily of the valley. 27:54 So often we focus on 27:57 we've got churches nowadays that become 28:00 and I'm going to say this in the right way. I want to say it 28:04 the right way and I want you to hear it the right way. 28:06 We have churches that have become Ellen White camps 28:09 instead of Jesus camps. 28:12 And we gauge everybody based on what we just read in our life. 28:16 Let me say something. I you probably don't meet many people 28:19 that respect and use her writings as much as I do. 28:22 So this is not any slam against her, 28:24 but she would never even put herself before she says. 28:28 So. We've got to cut that out when if if, if somebody says, 28:31 well, my church is for people that I'm a chore at that, 28:34 it sends the wrong church. 28:36 Let me say that again. I've heard some people say, well, 28:39 the our churches for people that are really strong at and 28:41 his no, no, your church should be for people that weekend Sen 28:47 anybody should be able to walk in the doors of the church and 28:50 find hope 28:51 and finding courage and we should not take our time to 28:54 beat people up from the pulpit. But let them see that Jesus is 28:57 the surgeon that cuts and heels 29:02 but getting confused. 29:04 So when we talk about salvation, 2 things had to 29:06 happen. 29:07 Someone must qualify to confront the tenacity of Sen 29:12 and something must occur to you advocate the power sin. I say 29:16 that again, someone must qualify to confront the 29:20 tenacity of cent and something must occur to eradicate the 29:24 power of Sen. 29:26 Another statement that I've been studying this and I know 29:29 you can understand it. 29:30 Some of you will get it on Tuesday. But most of you get it 29:33 today. 29:35 God does not save us because he loves us. 29:40 He saves us because of the toning work of cheeses because 29:45 he loves everyone. 29:47 He even loves to center. 29:49 But he doesn't save us on the basis of his love. 29:53 If he would, if he was going to save us on the basis of his 29:56 love alone, Jesus would be unnecessary. 30:01 That's why he said 30:02 you believe in God. 30:05 We've also on me, no man comes into the father. But by me, 30:09 God is not save us because he loves us. He said that's 30:12 because of the toning work of his son and his name is Jesus. 30:18 God is love. That will never change. 30:20 God does not excuse it on the basis of his love. Yet God's 30:24 love has everything to do with a victory over Sen. He doesn't 30:27 excuse it. He demonstrates his love 30:32 how to be demonstrated 30:34 John, 3 verse 17. We all know John, 3.16, but who knows? 30:37 John? 3.17, 30:39 for God did not send a son into the world to condemn the world 30:43 but that the world through him might be saved. God did not 30:48 send Jesus 30:51 to reveal since effect on humanity. That was obvious 30:54 4,000 years of Sen had made its presence obvious 31:00 4,000 years of sin inflicted havoc on humanity sends 31:04 devastation was obvious. Roman 6 0st. 23 for the wages 31:10 of sin is what death send. Turned God's perfect creation 31:14 into a mortuary 31:18 was littered with gravestones. When Jesus came, 31:21 no one was able to escape the moral impact of sin. God sent 31:26 Jesus at a time where Cent had Rick havoc on our planet. 31:33 And that the beauty of that story was he was willing to 31:35 come. 31:37 You know, if I was Jesus, 31:41 how to set that? Is there another way 31:43 20 to go down there for them? 31:47 But you know what? Friends when you pause and think about it, 31:50 he we talk about salvation being free. That's not true 31:54 because Jesus, everything 31:57 because he came down knowing that there's a chance he would 32:01 not be able to go back. 32:04 But he came down. He went into the he went into the to the to 32:09 the belly of the war 32:13 without any weapons other than his reliance on his father. 32:17 He couldn't yet not use any of his divinity. 32:21 Not in thought action. Word or deed. 32:24 He couldn't say I am the great I am and use his power to 32:28 overcome. Send. He had to do it like you and I would have to do 32:33 it. 32:34 Reliance on his heavenly father. 32:37 You see when you read the wages of Sine is death. 32:40 The 1st half of Roman 6 0st. 23 have reigned 32:44 supreme. It reigned supreme and check for 4,000 years. But 32:49 remember this, the 2nd half of Roman 6 0st 23 could not be 32:53 written until the victory over Sen was won. 33:00 Let me demonstrate that 33:01 the wages of sine is death, but the gift of God is eternal life 33:07 in Christ. Jesus, our Lord. Let me say it again. The 1st 33:11 half was true for sick for 4,000 years. 33:16 The Apostle Paul could not put the word but 33:20 until Jesus was victorious over Sen 33:28 and when did he do it? 33:30 When Satan became comfortable as Earth's mortician, Jesus 33:34 showed up, 33:38 however, just by myself, 33:41 Saint said, I'm going to kill them all. And then he heard the 33:43 announcement. 33:45 Jesus is on his way, 33:48 try to kill him as a baby. 33:51 But Jesus had Secret Service protection 33:55 try to he got his people to reject him. 33:58 But the mission was still set. 34:01 He dogged his footsteps. He called him everything he 34:04 could. He even got in the family circle. He was even 34:07 suggesting that Jesus was an illegitimate child to Jesus. 34:10 Kept focusing for the joy that was set before him endured the 34:14 cross Despising. The shame you see the cross was a stop along 34:18 the way Jesus focus be on the cross to the joy that was set 34:23 before him. 34:24 When you have to face their cross in this life. Focus on 34:27 the joy that is be on the cross. She's heard that Hans 34:32 Satan had become a comfortable mortician. And then he heard 34:36 this Klang in heaven 34:39 nations for for buying. 34:43 And so what's that noise? And the father says it's time 34:48 when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son 34:54 born of a woman born under the law to redeem those who are 34:59 under the law. 35:00 >> That we might receive the adoption has sons. 35:05 He heard that claim 35:09 and the presentation that she that rocked Satan's world 35:14 came from the lips of a man named John. 35:21 You get that on Wednesday, 35:22 [MUSIC] 35:26 John. I got it. I'm going to take up where you left off. 35:30 Behold the lamb of God 35:33 that taketh away the sins of the world I identify. Thank you 35:37 mom for giving me the name. 35:40 I want to do what he did. 35:42 The presentation that rocked Satan's world was 35:46 behold the lamb of God that taketh away the Sen the world 35:53 when that was heard, not one that was said not only did John 35:57 see Jesus coming, but Satan saw Jesus coming. 36:00 Let me say it. Well, I want you to grab this saying maybe the 36:03 roaring lion, but the introduction of the lamb of God 36:07 sent shivers down his spine. 36:11 That's the only time a lion was afraid of a Lamb. 36:16 Satan. Remember the declaration in the Garden of Eden 4,000 36:19 years earlier 36:22 when he heard John introduce Jesus his memory flashback back 36:28 to the Garden of Eden, 36:30 Genesis. 3.15, I will put enmity between Vian, the woman 36:34 between dicey to her seat. He shall bruise your head and 36:37 you shall. Bruce is healed and saying started feeling his head 36:40 to see if you have been bruised hip. That was on the way 36:45 Jesus. 36:47 The land 36:49 represents 36:51 resident power, silent and omnipotent. 36:55 Satan. The roaring lion represents pretentious power, 37:00 boisterous, but limited. 37:03 So whenever you face in, 37:05 remember, Satan's POW is limited. Jesus always can stop 37:09 of the power of Satan. 37:12 That is why people that don't have power try to scare you 37:14 with their loud mouth 37:17 roaring lion. 37:19 But people that have power are silent and steady 37:22 Jesus. The lamb. 37:24 Isaiah 53 for 7 says he was let as a lamb to the slaughter 37:28 as a sheep before it shares a silent. 37:31 So we open not as now. 37:33 Why did he not open his mouth? 37:39 Jesus didn't come to open his mouth. He came to open the 37:43 grave 37:44 [MUSIC] 37:47 throughout his mocking his trial, discouraging as false 37:50 accusations. 37:51 He did not say a word. And I always wondered why and I study 37:54 the word of God. And I found out loud. Jesus held his peace 37:58 until the victory was won 38:02 and revelation one verse 18 after the victory was Lonnie 38:05 said I am he that liveth 38:07 and was dead and behold, I am alive for evermore come once a 38:10 month of August 38:11 and I have the keys of h*** and death. 38:14 So 2 things did occur. Someone did qualified to confront the 38:19 tenacity of Sen 38:20 she's as qualified. 38:22 Something did occur to eradicate the power of Sen what 38:26 happened? 38:27 Jesus happened. 38:29 Redemption happened. You know, I looked at this word sin and 38:34 salvation and I decided 38:37 Senate salvation. We always talk about that. But let me 38:39 look at redemption. Redemption takes you beyond just Senate 38:42 Salvation Redemption takes you to a place where you begin to 38:45 see the forensics of salvation. It takes you that to to the 38:50 transaction Arie stages of salvation. What is redemption 38:54 mean? Redemption means the lamb of God changed our standing 39:00 before God. That's the first thing he did colossians one 39:02 verse. 21 and you who once alienated and enemies in your 39:06 mind by week and works yet now have been reconciled. So sin so 39:11 salvation saves us from sin. But redemption reconciles us to 39:16 God 39:18 changing our stand before God. What else does redemption to 39:22 the lamb closes the gap Ephesians to 13 but now in 39:26 Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have now been brought 39:30 nearby the blood of Christ. 39:35 The lamb closes the gap. The lamb changes are standing 39:39 before God. 39:40 What else? Islam, too. 39:43 The land paid our debt first, Peter one verse 18 knowing that 39:46 you're not redeemed with corruptible. Things like silver 39:49 and gold from your misconduct received by tradition from 39:53 their fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ as of 39:57 a land without blemish and without spot, 40:01 the lamb pays our debt changes are standing close the gap. 40:05 What else to do? 40:06 He doesn't leave us out there in the crowd. The lamb adopt us 40:11 too. Romans 8 for 15 for you. Did not receive the spirit of 40:15 bondage again to fear. But you received the spirit of adoption 40:18 by whom we cry out. Father, I've got a father. What about 40:23 you 40:25 for attention to the Lamb provides for us for the PS 40:28 4.19. This is something that we don't often see when we talk 40:31 about salvation. But redemption is a transaction. Every 40:34 process. The Apostle Paul sees the process of slavery, sees us 40:39 down in the chains of Cent, sees us at the at the place 40:42 where we're about to be sold into eternal destruction. 40:46 And Jesus comes along and says 40:48 I want to pay for them 40:50 a pay for their debt. 40:51 I'm gonna change is standing going to close the gap. 40:54 I'm going to adopt them and I'm going to provide for them 40:57 flipping for 19 and my God shall supply all my needs. 41:00 According to his riches in glory. Can you say then 41:04 not only that 41:05 as a as as a child that was adopted. I saw this to the lamb 41:11 places us in God's will. 41:14 You have received anything from somebody who die 41:17 make this very clear 41:20 until Jesus died. You did not. You did not have access to the 41:23 will of God. 41:25 That's what really bothers me. When people say I wonder what 41:27 the will of God it is. If God told me you couldn't do it. 41:31 If God told you he is my will. You couldn't do it. We are 41:35 incapable of fulfilling the will of God without Jesus 41:37 Christ working out as well. For to us for it is God who 41:40 works in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 41:45 So stop asking the question, what is God's will for my life 41:48 and simply submit your life to Christ and he will work in you 41:51 both to will awaken it and to accomplish it to do out here is 41:56 good pleasure. Cotton said 41:59 the land places us in God's will fusions one verse 11 in 42:03 him. Also we have obtained an inheritance. 42:08 We've got an inheritance Shaw, 42:11 the ink predestined according to the purpose of him who works 42:15 all things according to the counsel of his. Well, let me 42:19 pause for a moment to say this. 42:21 I want to bring this out. 42:23 Excuse my. 42:25 My nose is in the way 42:28 going to bring this out. 42:31 We are able to pay our bills based on our bottom line. 42:36 You know, you've got to like Bill Gas. Bill, you car note, 42:39 whatever else you have there, you put it all together and you 42:42 say, 42:43 okay, what's my salary and you look at the bottom, you say, 42:45 well, my bottom line is greater than my salary. 42:51 I can't afford it. 42:53 As I started this thing far that 42:55 Jesus provides for us based on his top line. 43:01 You've got to grab this powerful. 43:04 He starts with this top line. Let me let me let me stay with 43:07 this. Top line includes 43:09 the Earth is the lord's in the fullest thereof, 43:12 the world. And they that, well, they're in. That's his top 43:14 line. 43:15 The gold and silver is mine. 43:18 The cattle on 1000 hills is my. 43:20 If I were hungry, I would not tell you 43:23 the earth is the lord's and the fullest era. 43:27 The heavens to clear the glory of God. There's no place with 43:30 his speech in his language. The stars declare the glory 43:33 about. There's nothing that does not belong to God. So God 43:36 looks at his inventory 43:39 and he says since I own everything in the universe, 43:42 I think my wealth is good enough to provide for those 43:44 little guys on that little planet called Earth 43:49 Kadlec said his top line 43:51 and we look at our bottom line. That's why God is able to 43:54 provide for every one of us. 43:57 According to his riches in glory. Can I get an amen? 44:01 Somebody 44:02 so we see today 44:05 we are the lamb to redemption. Does so much for us to 44:08 sometimes we miss it. The land. Let's go over that again. 44:11 Changes are standing before God say that with me the lamp did 44:15 what changed our standing before. God. We are no longer 44:19 aliens. 44:23 Then he closes the gap. Send. Push us away from God. Jesus 44:28 came in close the gap and brought us near by his blood. 44:34 Thirdly, 44:36 the land paid our debt 44:38 not with a credit card, but with his own blood. 44:43 Fourthly, he adopted us. 44:49 And at this one is not part of my notes 44:52 and he opened an adoption agency. 44:55 You know, the churches, 44:57 an adoption agency. 44:59 You know, messages when you meet somebody say you want to 45:01 be adopted. 45:05 You can see that 45:07 when you meet folk don't say you want to join my church. 45:10 Say do you want to be adopted by the wealthiest person I've 45:12 ever met. 45:15 You want to be adopted by the only one that can save you. 45:18 Do you do want to be in the will to want to be adopted by 45:21 the one who has everything in his will and is designed just 45:24 for you. 45:25 We are the adoption agency. 45:27 That's why the devil has tried so hard to keep us from 45:30 carrying forth the message. It gives a completely different 45:33 spin on the message of salvation. It's an adoption 45:35 message. 45:37 It's not just the salvation message. It's a redemption 45:39 message. Jesus alone can save us from the ignominy us nature 45:43 of sin 45:45 and places in as well. 45:47 And then number 7, 45:49 the lamb assures us our inheritance. 45:52 Matthew, 25 and verse 34 45:55 then the king will say to those on his right hand come you 45:58 blessed that my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you 46:02 from the foundation of the world. You know the reason why 46:06 we have that in here just waiting for us. It's because of 46:09 the lamb. 46:11 The lamb. 46:12 What was that? I just say plant. 46:15 We don't have that because of all the institutions we have. 46:18 We don't have that because of all the knowledge we have. 46:21 We don't have that because of the diet we have. 46:24 We don't have that because of the number of churches that we 46:27 have or the number of companies we have. We have that because 46:31 of the blood of the lamb Christ Jesus. 46:38 So the plan of salvation, 46:41 it means that we are redeemed, that 46:44 it means that we are reclaimed. 46:47 It means that we purchased back. 46:50 Why does that mean so much to me? 46:55 When I was 3 months old, 46:58 I had no clue. 47:01 You know, 3 month-old kids. I don't know anything. 47:04 Just a bottle in a diaper and a credit 47:08 when I was 3 months old, 47:11 abandoned by one parent 47:15 accepted by another. 47:17 That's the story of every one of us abandoned by Adam. 47:21 The 1st half 47:23 adopted by the last 10 47:27 when the first Adam left us in a quandary. The last Adam solve 47:31 the quandary 47:33 when the first out of left us on the road to death. The last 47:36 Adam put us on the road to life 47:39 when the first out of left us bleeding and bruised and broken 47:42 and and abandoned. The last Adam adopted a son pulled us 47:46 into his family law 47:49 and made a subject to his will. 47:51 I told you this could be a simple message 47:54 because sometimes we get so discombobulated into the 47:58 theological over the dictum says pass to see are used to 48:01 say because bound down by all the terminologies that we miss, 48:05 that the Gospel is not difficult. 48:07 The plan of salvation means we are redeemed. We have reclaimed 48:10 we are purchase, backed. The plan to purchase is back 48:14 was in place before Sunday. Even into the world. 48:18 What is that plan? 48:20 What is the focal point of the Gospel? Where does the power to 48:24 overcome son reside revelation? 13, 8. Very short. Don't forget 48:28 it. Here it is. 48:30 Don't jump up and shout 48:32 if you want to. You can. 48:35 The lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 48:40 The lamb slain. Before the fire started. Jesus put the one who 48:45 can put out the flames 48:48 in the plan. 48:50 If you do believe that asked the Hebrews that when the 48:51 furnace 48:53 Jesus, the firemen joined them in the furnace. Jesus, the team 48:57 of Lions joined Daniel in the den Jesus, the one who controls 49:02 the winds and the waves when the boat with his disciples. 49:05 And I'm gonna tell you today, you may be in a storm in your 49:07 own life and send, but Jesus can come in and give you the 49:11 power to overcome by doing something that is far deeper 49:16 than just what we think is included. The power to overcome 49:20 Cent is a transference. And here's how the Bible describes 49:23 it. Second Corinthians 5 and verse. 21 49:27 second Corinthians 5 and verse. 21 49:31 for he made him who knew no scent 49:35 to be sent for us. Let me pause right there for a moment. 49:39 What does that mean? What does that mean? And I sat down and 49:42 studied at what does that mean? It doesn't mean Jesus became. 49:47 >> Sent for me. I mean, jeez that became sing for you, 49:50 you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you and you 49:55 and you. 49:56 >> And all those in that section, all those in this 49:58 section, all of those in that section, all those that 50:01 watching all those that walking the streets of the city, 50:04 if you can call Thompsonville the city, all of those that 50:08 welcome the streets of New York, put all that on your 50:10 shoulder. It put the weight of the world on your shoulder. 50:14 Put all the simple acts Everett ever committed on this planet. 50:18 Ever since the entrance of the doctors have sent put all of 50:21 that together and say to Jesus, are you willing to bear it? 50:30 God had laid on him, 50:32 the iniquity of us all. 50:34 So how dearest think that sent us some easy thing to Jesus 50:39 just came to eradicate. He had to put all that on him. He 50:44 became sent for us. 50:47 He took all that 50:50 and dragged to the cross 50:57 because he looked at the cross and said if this is what it's 51:00 going to take 51:02 to open the door for my children, 51:06 father, 51:07 I will be time. 51:14 So why do we get together like this? We get together like this 51:17 to rejoice. Not only because of the 1st half of second 51:20 Corinthians fibers, 21, 51:23 but the 2nd half 51:26 for he made him who know cent to be sent for us that we might 51:29 become the righteousness of God in him. 51:36 So let me let me just still the message down to 4 very quick 51:39 points. 51:40 You see we're here today because she's a sound away 51:45 we had today because Jesus paid the price 51:48 we had today 51:50 because Jesus forgave our cent. 51:52 We are today because Jesus atoned and pay that ignominious 51:56 debt to pull us into his family lived. 51:59 We are here today waiting for the inheritance to be to live 52:01 it and I learned something else. 52:04 Not only do we have an inheritance, but this is D 52:08 God 52:09 once us as kids inheritance, 52:13 why did God send Jesus? He didn't just sent Jesus to 52:17 resolve the issue of sin. He sent Jesus to get his 52:21 children back. 52:25 So when Jesus came to the first 2015, then come at the end when 52:31 he delivers to keep them up to his father. 52:35 That Deliverance is not just a city called the new Jerusalem, 52:38 but the Saints in that city will be there because of what 52:41 Jesus did. 52:43 The power to overcome cent is not that difficult, 52:47 but we wrap it up and so many things. So let me make it very 52:49 clear to you today. 52:51 We do not gain victory over Sen by substitute meets that. 52:56 But by the substitution, every sacrifice of Jesus, 53:00 you can't eat enough tofu to be saved 53:04 and salvation is not in Loma Linda. 53:08 Salvation is not and Morningstar. It's in the bright 53:11 and morning stocked. 53:14 So when you are choking down your next vigil link, 53:18 I don't think that that means you're more safe in the person 53:21 sitting next to you to some. It won't send me an email and 53:25 this was amazing was from an avenue. 53:27 He said I read that after Jesus his resurrection. He ate fish 53:31 and I'm having a hard time with that. 53:35 Why you haven't heard what you did. They were very they were 53:37 very they were very adamant in the email. They said she's a 53:40 fish at his resurrection. Wanted to do that. And I'm 53:43 vegan 53:47 I thought the since when was salvation based on official 53:50 veganism, 53:52 some of you all kind of trouble. I did that 53:54 intentionally 53:56 because I'm not minimizing health message. But the health 53:59 message is not the salvation message. It's the result of a 54:02 saving relationship with Christ. So do not think that 54:05 you will gain victory by substitution area meets only by 54:08 the substitution, every sacrifice of Jesus. 54:12 We are not saved by keeping the Sabbath, but by the Lord of the 54:16 sap of keeping us. 54:21 But make no mistake about it, 54:23 you eat right? 54:25 You do. It sent righteousness by faith. 54:28 You do observe the Sabbath, but don't ever get any of those 54:31 mixed up 54:33 salvation over Sen 54:38 we cannot overcome send by our fundamentals 54:42 by faithfulness to the 28 fundamentals. But by the most 54:45 fundamental fact of all the faithfulness of Jesus Christ 54:49 alone. 54:52 So when you have when you're fighting over Sen and you want 54:55 and how to overcome it, 54:58 allow me to end this message with an understatement. 55:01 I began with an understatement. 55:04 One of those was 55:06 Santa is a big problem. 55:09 Can I ended with a better one? 55:11 Jesus is a big say fit. 55:13 [MUSIC] 55:16 That's right. He is. And they overcame him by the bull lot of 55:20 the land when he say that again and they overcame him Biden. 55:27 So don't get it mixed up. We've got a whole lot, but we 55:29 don't need a whole lot. 55:31 We just need Jesus. And by the way, just in case to stop me 55:36 into your mind by some Satanic suggestion, I'm not a Jesus 55:39 only and you don't need anything else. Preach it. 55:42 I'm a Jesus first 55:45 and everything else after preaching 55:48 because we've got that. We've got that false cry centered his 55:51 preaching nowadays. Don't keep the Sabbath. Don't do this. 55:54 Don't do that. Just Jesus alone. No Jesus first. 55:58 And everything else can fall in line behind him. Not Jesus only 56:02 but when it comes to salvation. Don't miss this. 56:05 We cannot overcome send by anything external 56:09 we can only overcome sent by the blood of the lamb. 56:15 Yes.
