00:16 I would like to welcome you today to the 2020 Secrets 00:21 Unsealed summit. In this summit we are sharing a series that 00:26 deals with the hour of God's judgment, that we're living in 00:31 the time of that judgment now. There are a number of events 00:36 that the Bible as well as the writings of Ellen White reveal 00:40 to us have to take place prior to Christ's second coming. One 00:46 of these events that we want to look at closely today is known 00:49 as the shaking. Many of my Adventist brothers and sisters 00:54 when they talk about the shaking they interpret it from the way 00:59 that they've grown up or the way that they've been taught. Often 01:03 I hear them say well the shaking is going to be caused because of 01:07 the testimonies of Ellen White. There's those in our churches 01:10 that won't accept Ellen White so they're going to be shaken out. 01:13 I want to show you some things that the Lord has helped me to 01:18 find that help to shed more light on this subject and to 01:23 look at it more personally, inwardly than just outwardly. 01:27 In Review and Herald, December 27, 1898 the Lord's servant 01:37 tells us something. She says: 01:52 The storm is a time of trouble such as never has been. We 01:56 talked about that in our previous message. In Daniel 01:59 chapter 12, Matthew chapter 24, goes into great detail on this 02:04 time of trouble. When this time of trouble happens, when plagues 02:10 are falling all around us, the people of God will be protected 02:16 from what's happening by one thing alone. By faith in God's 02:22 word. God has made a promise to us that no plague shall come 02:27 nigh our dwelling. And sometimes people will tell me, yeah but I 02:31 had so and so over here, they died. Well I don't know what was 02:35 in their heart. I'm not saying they didn't have faith, but I'm 02:37 saying we cannot look at somebody else and judge what 02:41 happened to them. We need to look at our own hearts and say 02:44 do I believe God? Do I believe that he will do exactly what he 02:49 said he will do? Ellen White goes on and says: 03:04 This is important because when Jesus prayed in John chapter 17 03:10 verse 21, he said Father I pray that they all might be one as 03:17 we are one. Jesus went through the entire gospel of John 03:23 repeatedly and he talked about the fact that even the very 03:27 words he was speaking, it was not him speaking them, but our 03:31 Father that was in him speaking them. Sometimes I have you know 03:36 Christian brothers and sisters that say well you can't take 03:39 that too literally. Of course we can take that literally. The 03:43 Apostle Paul says God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the 03:50 world unto himself. We saw that in Desire of Ages, page 161. 03:56 From the very beginning of creation it was God's purpose 03:59 that every created being should be a temple for Him to dwell in. 04:05 I never comprehended this until a number of years ago. I had 04:11 spent 25 years in bondage to sin I was working and teaching 04:17 Marshall arts and eastern mysticism, alternative healing, 04:21 and through that practice the Lord opened my eyes so that I 04:28 would see first-hand what the word possession looks like. I 04:35 have seen people possessed by evil spirits. Those are evil 04:40 spirits trying to set their throne in God's house. God says 04:46 the throne of your heart is mine. I want to take possession 04:51 of my temple. I want to reign in your life. Ellen White goes on 04:59 and says: 05:23 And if you're looking for that that's in Revelation chapter 3 05:27 approximately verse 14-20. That's where you see the 05:33 testimony of the true witness to the Laodicean s. The true witness 05:37 here the Bible says is Jesus Christ. The shaking is caused by 05:45 the straight testimony that's called forth by what Jesus says 05:52 to the church of Laodicea. Ellen White goes on and says: 06:17 Growing up as a young Christian when I used to hear phrases like 06:24 this what I thought straight truth was, you got to be 06:27 pointed. You know, if you see somebody doing something wrong 06:30 go to them and point it out to them. Spare not. How many 06:36 times have we done that and what was the response. Almost 99 06:41 percent of the time when you go to somebody in that type of a 06:44 spirit or that type of an attitude, there's resistance. 06:48 People do not want to have you come to them and point to them 06:52 where they're wrong. What Ellen White indicates here is that a 06:59 standard of righteousness is exalted and then we pour forth 07:05 the straight testimony of truth. God's word says my word is truth 07:13 We are sharing with men and women how they can reach that 07:18 standard through the truth. This straight testimony some will not 07:25 bear. They will rise up against it and this will cause a shaking 07:31 among God's people. Right now we have two camps within the 07:36 Christian faith. We have those of other denominations. I know 07:40 Baptists and I know Methodists and I know Lutherans, I know 07:44 other people of other denominations that are saying we 07:47 need to live holy lives. And then we have on the other 07:52 extreme, we have groups of Christians that are saying it 07:54 it really doesn't matter what you do. I mean Jesus paid it all 07:59 it's done. You know you're only human anyway you can keep 08:03 sinning until Jesus comes back. For me when I look at that type 08:08 of idea it contradicts everything in the word of God. 08:13 If went to a hospital because I had cancer I would not want the 08:18 physician to come to me and say does this is cancer hurt? 08:21 I say yes 08:22 it does. He said here's a prescription, here's some drugs 08:25 take the drugs, you won't have any more pain. And I would say 08:28 what about the cancer? Don't worry about that, you won't feel 08:31 it. Yeah, but it's killing me. I don't want the pain to be gone 08:36 alone. I want the cancer gone. And sin is a cancer in our lives 08:42 It is destroying us. Listen to what it says in Luke chapter 4 08:51 where the apostle is quoting from Isaiah. He says: 09:16 Do you know it says there prepare the way for the King. 09:20 When Christ came the first time what did the wise men say. They 09:25 came to Jerusalem and they came to the temple and they said 09:28 where is he that is born King of the Jews? There was a forerunner 09:38 before Christ came on the scene, before he began his ministry and 09:43 that forerunner is who this is talking about. This forerunner 09:47 was to prepare the way for the King, to make his paths straight 09:53 Do you know that Jesus says something in Luke chapter 17? 09:57 He says don't you realize the kingdom of God is within you? 10:03 The Jews were looking for, the Hebrew people were looking for 10:07 an earthly physical king and they were looking for an earthly 10:12 kingdom but they did not realize that before that kingdom and 10:17 power and glory happens here on the world the kingdom within 10:23 had to be taken back from the enemy. He says: 10:35 When a king was coming into the city they would be riding in a 10:39 chariot and back then chariot wheels were expensive so if you 10:44 had a path or a road that had gulley's and ditches and big 10:48 rocks and humps in it, it made it very difficult for the king 10:52 to travel safely so they would send forerunners before him to 10:58 smooth the path. John the Baptist when he came he was 11:03 preparing the path for Christ. Every valley shall be exalted 11:26 I used to always wonder about that. I thought what does that 11:28 mean, the crooked things shall be made straight? It means our 11:32 understanding of God's word. This will be made straight, this 11:38 will be made clear. Do you know it's funny because Jesus, one 11:44 day the Pharisees brought a woman that had been caught in 11:47 adultery. She was actually a prostitute. Her name was Mary 11:51 Magdalene. So it wasn't like a one time event that they caught 11:55 her in. But they brought her to Jesus's feet and they threw her 12:00 on the ground. And you know when they caught her they caught her 12:02 in the very act. So she probably was not clothed very well. They 12:08 threw her on the ground in humiliation and shame. And they 12:12 told Jesus. They said, Moses in the law said that she has to be 12:19 stoned. What do you say? And you know what Jesus did? He looked 12:27 at her after they had left and he said, I don't condemn you. 12:31 But go and sin no more. I had a lady that contacted me about... 12:41 It was probably a year and a half, two and a half years 12:44 after my wife and I 12:46 had been brought back together. And some of you know the story 12:48 if you've seen the Dragon Revealed. But she wrote to me 12:52 and she said Brother Wilson, I love the movie, I love the 12:57 miracle God did in getting you out of all that Eastern 13:00 mysticism and spiritualism but but you're living in sin, 13:09 because I'd remarried my wife. And I didn't even know what to 13:11 say. I thought what are you talking about I'm living in sin? 13:13 If you knew the miracles that God did to put our family back 13:16 together and our marriage back together. She said, in the law 13:21 it says that if a man puts away his wife and she go from him 13:25 and become another man's, the first man cannot go back to her 13:29 and remarry her. And she told me she said, you've done the 13:33 opposite. In God's sight, a man or a woman, there's no 13:36 difference. You have no right in God's sight, according to the 13:40 law to go back and marry your wife. And I cannot tell you what 13:44 that did to me. I'm sitting there you know after a year and 13:48 a half, two and a half years of being remarried, after all the 13:52 miracles that God did to restore my wife and I and our family 13:57 and all of a sudden this woman's telling me that God's law says I 14:01 shouldn't have done that. I can't do that. And it was like 14:05 all hell broke loose inside my mind. Because if this woman was 14:12 right that means every miracle that happened to bring my wife 14:15 and I back together, our family back together, was of Satan and 14:18 not of God. And you want to talk about a shaking. I was shaking. 14:23 The ground I was standing on was shaking. The platform that I 14:28 trusted was shaking. And I cried out to God. I said, God, I need 14:32 a miracle. I need you to show me what is here. There's something 14:36 I'm not missing, or something I'm missing. I went back and 14:39 looked in the Bible, the Old Testament in Moses's 14:43 instructions and it was there. I'm not allowed to go back and 14:47 remarry my wife. And you know what God did. He took me to 14:53 Jeremiah chapter 3 and he said they say that if a man put away 14:59 his wife and go from her, but I say you played the harlot with 15:05 many lovers yet return unto me for I am married unto you. Jesus 15:13 actually said the law demands perfect righteousness and Eric 15:19 you've already fallen. So the law can't forgive you. It can't 15:24 pardon you. It can't pretend like that never happened. So I 15:31 became guilty of what you did. I took your sin upon myself so 15:36 that you can now walk free in holiness and righteousness so 15:41 your family can be brought back together. The crooked things 15:47 still need to be made straight. And the rough ways plain. It 15:53 says then that the glory of the Lord shall be revealed. 15:57 And Malachi chapter 3 speaking about this forerunner, Malachi 16:03 tells us: 16:18 Remember we are the temple of God. It's not some temple in the 16:23 middle east. It's here: 16:42 Psalm chapter 24 answers this question. King David tells us: 17:16 Hallelujah! Testimonies vol. 1, page 181: Listen to what the 17:24 Lord's servant tells us about this shaking. She says: 18:33 Right now these people that you see profess Christ on both sides 18:39 the ones that are struggling in earnestness and agony they know 18:47 I don't look like Jesus yet. I don't match the pattern. And 18:53 it's not out of fear, but it's out of love. I want my heart to 18:57 be clean. I don't what to go to church on Sabbath and then on 19:01 the way home argue with my wife or my husband. A lot of times 19:06 we battle with that. It's like our children. We don't know why 19:08 we're losing so many of our young people in our churches. 19:11 Is it because of the fact that the gospel has not been made 19:14 real to them? Is it because they haven't seen the power of God in 19:18 our lives? If we are living the life that calls itself 19:26 Christlike but yet we're showing the works of the enemy, the 19:32 gospel's no different than the story of Santa Claus. It's just 19:35 make-believe. They need to see the power of God. Jesus tells us 19:45 in Matthew 5:20: 19:59 The Pharisees had an outward righteousness, external. And 20:05 Jesus said you all think that these men are the standard but 20:10 unless your righteousness is greater than theirs you'll never 20:13 see the kingdom of heaven. 20:48 Turn with me to Revelation chapter 3, Revelation chapter 3. 20:56 Listen to what Jesus actually says to the church of Laodicea. 20:59 This is us, the last church. Listen to what he says: 21:03 Revelation chapter 3 verse 16 actually verse 15. He says: 21:13 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish 21:20 that you were cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm 21:26 half in the church and half in the world or in the church 21:31 externally but the world is in your heart when you're at home. 21:35 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor 21:40 hot I will spew thee out of my mouth. Thou sayest, I am rich 21:46 and increased with goods. I have need of nothing. That's many of 21:52 the people in our churches today I keep the Sabbath, I eat 21:56 vegetarian or I eat vegan, I pay tithe, I know about the 22:00 sanctuary, I know about the state of the dead, I'm doing 22:03 this and doing that. And he says you don't even realize... You 22:11 knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable and poor 22:15 and blind, and naked. That means you do not have on the only robe 22:23 which will grant you access to heaven. And then he tells us in 22:29 verse 18: 22:52 It's so funny, Adam and Eve when they lost the robes of 22:55 righteousness they both did everything they could to cover 22:57 their bodies up. And today men and women are pulling their 23:01 clothes off and walking around with no shame whatsoever. 23:06 He says: 23:21 This testimony has not been half heeded. This testimony must work 23:28 deep repentance so that all that receive it will obey it and be 23:32 purified. Obey what? Seek of me gold tried in the fire, buy it 23:39 from me and white raiment and eye salve. 23:46 Desire of Ages, page 161: 23:48 We talked about this in our earlier message. It was God's 23:51 purpose that every created being should be a temple for him to 23:56 dwell in. God designed that the temple at Jerusalem should be a 24:01 continual witness to the high destiny open to every soul. It 24:07 was God's purpose that that temple would be pure. He never 24:13 wanted bloodshed in the temple. Bloodshed came because of sin. 24:18 God said who told you you were going to fail? I told you be 24:22 holy and sin not. Did you not believe me. Desire of Ages goes 24:29 on and says: 24:43 It was a witness. The temple was a witness to the 24:49 high destiny open to 24:50 every soul. God was like, this is what it looks like to be a 24:55 son or daughter of God. But the Jews didn't understand that. 25:00 We as Seventh-day Adventist Christians do not understand 25:04 that. We have not seen that. You know what God said? He said, I 25:10 gave the instructions in my word and they still didn't see it. So 25:16 my word must become flesh. Testimonies to Ministers, page 25:25 364, 365: 25:51 Christ came to show us what it looks like for God to dwell 25:56 inside of a person. And then it says: 26:32 Now listen to what she says next The courts of the temple at 26:36 Jerusalem filled with the tumult of unholy traffic. Have you guys 26:42 ever hear of human trafficking? Traffic means buying and selling 26:58 I read this and I thought what traffic? The Bible says you have 27:02 sold yourselves for your iniquities. We've sold ourselves 27:05 The devil says, look this will be fun. It's only five minutes 27:09 or 10 minutes, it's only one more piece of pound cake or it's only 27:14 or it's only just one time. It won't cost you that much. We 27:18 have it on sale right now. You won't surely die. I know God 27:22 said that. We sell ourselves for a moment of pleasure. However 27:28 that looks like in your life remember that. Ask the Lord 27:33 cause me to see sin through your eyes. 28:19 He doesn't say I need you to try to be, he says I'm speaking it, 28:23 I need you to believe it and walk that way. I asked a friend 28:30 of mine recently, how do you know that your mom and dad are 28:38 your mom and dad? How do you know the people that call 28:42 themselves your mom and dad are really your mom and dad? And 28:45 almost everybody will know the answer to that question. Well 28:48 they told me that. You know when a mother goes out and she gives 28:53 birth and they take the baby, they put it in another room 28:56 after the mother has seen and had it, they put it in another 29:00 room. And then sometimes if the mother's still recovering it may 29:03 be a day or two before she sees the baby. And they come back in 29:07 out of another room with 50 other babies in there. And then 29:12 a nurse goes in who you don't know, grabs that baby brings it 29:15 in and says here's your baby. Now you know the mother knows 29:18 that baby because the baby was inside of her womb. And the 29:23 father comes into the room and you know what the father will do 29:25 He'll grab that little baby and say you are daddy's little girl 29:29 or daddy's little boy. The mother is you know... The 29:33 parents tell the child you're my son, you're my daughter, and we 29:37 grow up believing them. How come we cannot believe God like that? 29:41 God tells us you're my son, walk like it. You're my daughter, 29:48 live like it. Trust me, believe my word. The courts of the 29:54 Temple at Jerusalem filled with the tumult of unholy traffic 29:58 represented all too truly the temple of our hearts. Now listen 30:05 to this one: Signs of the Times, May 30, 1895: The law of God and 30:12 the word God there is Theos, Deity, Divinity. The law of 30:19 Deity, the law of what it looks like to be a son and daughter 30:23 God. It's like plants have DNA, human beings have DNA. A leopard 30:30 can't change his spots because the law of being a leopard is 30:35 written in his heart, in his DNA It's written inside every fiber 30:41 of his being. You're a leopard. It we don't take that and apply 30:47 that to ourselves the law of God written inside of our hearts 30:52 we won't realize that we're sons and daughters of God. 31:32 Look at that. The law requires that which no man of themselves 31:40 can render. God did that for a reason. Paul says the law was 31:44 our schoolmaster to send us to Christ. It doesn't mean that 31:49 when Christ came the law is done away with. Christ wants inside 31:52 our heart so that he can live his live in our mortal flesh. 31:58 Romans 3:23 and 10 says: 32:12 And I inserted this. The phrase not one can also be interpreted 32:17 none but one. The Bible says there was only one who was just, 32:23 that was the Lord Jesus Christ. 32:45 Sometimes people will say, I'm good, I love Jesus, I don't need 32:50 more. The Bible says all of our righteousness is as filthy rags. 32:55 On our best day it doesn't even come close to what Christ wants 33:00 and desires. 33:16 When I read this the first thought that came to me was sin 33:21 is blinding and deceiving in its nature. Blinding to what? What 33:28 does sin blind us to? The truth, the truth. Jesus said, Father 33:49 I looked at that and I was like Lord... Truth to me was correct 33:55 doctrine. Do I have correct understanding of this fact and 33:58 this fact and this fact? And God spoke to me and he said Eric you 34:02 don't even know what the word truth means. I said, Of course I 34:05 do. It's correct doctrine. And God said look the word up in the 34:09 Strong's Concordance. And when you look up that word truth in 34:13 John 17, this is the actual Strong's definition: 34:22 The unfailing verity. If God speaks it, it cannot return unto 34:30 him void. He can't repent, Numbers says, Chapter 23 verse 34:35 19. He says, Have I spoken and shall I not do it. Psalm 33 34:44 verse 6-9 says: 35:00 Do you know 6000 years ago God spoke and said let the earth 35:05 bring forth green grass and 6000 years later the earth is still 35:09 obeying him. We're the only ones that choose to doubt and not 35:15 believe. I want to present something to you. The first 35:22 statement of creation that we have in the Bible in Genesis 35:26 chapter one: God said, Let there BE light. And what happened? 35:34 There was. He said let there BE and there was. Do you know what 35:42 he said in Leviticus chapter 44 or chapter 11 verse 44 and 45? 35:47 And 1 Peter 1:16: BE ye holy for I am holy. The same word that 35:54 said let there be light is the same word that says Be holy. 36:01 It's not try to be. I had a sister in Christ that said 36:07 something to me. She got this for the first time and she said 36:11 Brother Wilson, it's a state of being. Be my son. I am your son. 36:19 I believe it. Well then live like it. Ellen White tells us in 36:26 Education page 126: Listen to this promise. 36:42 Do you know what she said in Desire of Ages, page 311? 36:45 She quotes Jesus and Jesus said, Be ye therefore perfect even as 36:52 your Father in heaven is perfect and then she says this again, 36:56 this command is a promise. It's not for us to try to do it. It's 37:03 to believe he has done it and surrender our lives so that he 37:07 can manifest the life of Christ in our mortal flesh. Many of us 37:16 that are here today and that are listening to this message, many 37:20 of us are Seventh-day Sabbath keepers. Right? Have you ever 37:25 wondered why we keep the Sabbath Well it's a sign of God's 37:27 creative power. Okay, he created the earth, that's great. That 37:32 helps me not believe in evolution. How does that help my 37:35 walk with him? Because the same way he created the universe is 37:40 the same way that he recreates us in the image of God. Exodus 37:47 chapter 31 says: 37:55 Galatians tells us those that have faith are the seed of 38:00 Abraham. Speak thou also unto the children of Israel saying: 38:04 Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep It's a promise, it's a promise. 38:12 You will keep my Sabbaths for it is a sign between Me and You 38:20 throughout your generations. So that you may know that I Am the 38:27 Lord, Jehovah, Yahweh, that doeth sanctify you, not you yourselves 38:53 Do you know God made a promise in Deuteronomy 4 verse 29. If 38:57 you seek me with all your heart you will find me So he tells us 39:03 right here: I did not tell the children of Jacob, Seek ye me in 39:07 vain. What, you're going to seek me and I'm not going to show up. 39:11 For I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things 39:18 that are right. That means he declares things and makes them 39:24 right. I'm going to show you an example of this. Because I asked 39:29 the Lord. I was like I'm starting to grasp this. That you 39:34 speak, that there is life-giving power in your word, but show me 39:38 a place in the Bible where you spoke righteousness. And the 39:42 Lord took me to Luke chapter 5. There was a man that came to 39:46 Jesus that was a leper and he was rotting and he fell on the 39:51 ground before our Savior and he said Adonai, Lord, King I know 39:59 if thou wilt thou canst make me clean. And you know what Jesus 40:04 said? He spoke the same as he did in Genesis one: I will be 40:10 thou clean. And you know the man got up and he walked free from 40:16 leprosy from that day forward. Romans chapter 4 verse 17 gives 40:21 us some more light on this. It says: 40:47 He looks at us just like he did Mary Magdalene and says Neither 40:51 do I condemn you. I'll take your sins from you. Stand up and sin 40:56 no more. Hebrews chapter 4 says: 41:13 How many times has God told us something and we say yeah but I 41:16 can't believe that. We should be experiencing more of the 41:20 presence and power and miracles of God in our lives now than 41:24 what they were 2000 years ago. Because Jesus said, The things 41:28 that I've done, you're going to do even greater because I'm 41:30 going to my father. Now let's look at Laodicea again. The 41:38 Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:5: 41:52 I want you to pay close attention to that word 41:55 godliness. They have a form of godliness but they deny the 41:59 power thereof. Do you know what the word deny means? That's okay 42:03 You put your hand up and you say no, thank you. A waiter comes and 42:07 they're going to bring you some more you know food or more you 42:09 know to drink and you go no thank you. I'm denying it. I'm 42:14 denying it, I don't need it. I'm rich and increased with goods, 42:18 I'm in need of nothing. No thank you. Jesus talked about this in 42:23 Matthew 23. He talked about the Pharisees and the scribes. 42:27 He said they're like whited sepulchers. They're beautiful on 42:30 the outside. They've got all the right clothes on. They've got 42:33 the right badge with their name on it but 42:37 inside they're full of 42:38 dead men's bones. To Laodicea he said: 43:01 Desire of Ages, page 35. This is startling. Satan was seeking to 43:08 shut out from men a knowledge of God. The Bible says in John 17 43:14 verse 3: This is life eternal that they might know thee and 43:22 Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent To know is like what Adam did 43:26 when Adam knew his wife Eve. They became one flesh. And I 43:30 have to tell you that one flesh was not just for the moment 43:34 while they were in the bed together, the wedding bed. 43:37 If you become one with your spouse your husband or your wife 43:41 and it's only for those few moments, that little bit of time 43:44 that you're in the bedroom together it's meaningless. When 43:48 you become one, you're one in everything you do. 44:16 Not their religion but their faith. 44:57 When you read Paul's writings in Romans and Galatians and 45:01 Ephesians and Philippians this is his whole message was that 45:07 you cannot keep the law or be righteous on your own. The only 45:13 way this can happen is if you open the door of your heart to 45:16 Christ and let him live within you. Christ came to open the 45:23 eyes of the blind, to turn us from darkness to light and from 45:27 the power of Satan unto God that we may receive forgiveness of 45:33 sins and our inheritance among them which are sanctified by 45:40 faith that is in me. 1 Timothy. We talk about how Laodicea had a 45:50 form of godliness but they denied the power thereof. They 45:54 said no thank you we got this. Listen to what 1 Timothy says. 45:58 He actually tell us what the mystery of godliness is. 46:02 For without controversy great is the mystery of godliness. God 46:09 was manifest in the flesh. There's no other way a human 46:15 being can have godliness except God be manifest in their flesh 46:22 and in their life. Paul goes on and tells us in Colossians 1:26 46:26 and Romans 16: 46:37 Jesus tells us in Isaiah 45: 46:57 Jesus was actually... He quoted this in John chapter 3. He said 47:04 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so the son of 47:09 man must be lifted up. When Moses was commanded to lift that 47:15 serpent up the Bible tells us that everybody looked to Christ 47:20 which was the act of faith, Ellen White says, they were 47:23 healed instantly from the poison She says many people said, 47:29 That's okay, my wounds are too bad.
