00:42 Welcome to the special concert dedicated to the many children
00:46 Child Impact International serves. 00:49 I'm not here just because I play the violin. 00:52 You see, over the last few years, 00:53 I have been privileged to serve 00:55 as an ambassador for Child Impact International. 00:59 And as I look back on my trips to both India and Myanmar, 01:03 there are two distinct experiences 01:06 that were really memorable to me 01:09 and I'd like to share them with you. 01:11 The first one was walking into a group violin lesson 01:15 at the girls' school in Myanmar, 01:18 and watching their excitement 01:20 as I started to play one of their violins. 01:24 I then sat down to talk with them, 01:26 they asked them some questions, 01:28 and encouraged them to continue to develop 01:31 their musical talents for the glory of God. 01:34 That night, 01:36 I put on a concert for the entire school 01:39 but I invited all 20 of those young violinists 01:42 to play along with me and they beamed 01:45 as they played their hearts out. 01:49 The second experience involves putting on another concert, 01:53 this time for the children at the blind school in India. 01:58 Their exuberance and joy was contagious. 02:02 As I played songs and hymns that they recognized, 02:05 they literally sang at the top of their lungs. 02:09 I fought back tears as I played 02:11 because I felt and sensed the presence 02:14 of the Holy Spirit in the midst of those precious children. 02:19 These snippets and memories are a direct result 02:22 of some of the lives being changed 02:24 through the efforts of Child Impact International, 02:27 and especially your contributions. 02:30 So I hope you will enjoy this concert. 07:37 Operation Child Rescue is an amazing program 07:42 that Child Impact oversees in India. 07:45 The team is involved in rescuing girls 07:48 from brothels in Bangalore, 07:51 and then they bring them there 07:52 and provide a safe haven for them as they transition 07:56 to a much better future and life. 08:00 The program is also involved in the rescue of boys 08:03 from sweatshops and slave labor in factories. 08:07 Operation Child Rescue is a unique opportunity 08:11 to dramatically impact children 08:13 whose lives have been ruined 08:15 through the exploitation of others. 10:39 I will trust in you 10:45 I will trust in you 10:51 Let the weak say 10:53 I am strong 10:57 In the strength of the Lord 11:02 I will trust in you 11:41 I believe you 11:46 I believe you 12:05 You are my hiding place 12:11 You always fill my heart 12:17 With songs of deliverance 12:21 Whenever I am afraid 12:25 I will trust in You 12:31 I will trust in you 12:37 Let the weak say 12:39 I am strong 12:44 In the strength of the Lord 12:49 I will trust in you 12:55 I will trust in you 13:01 Let the weak say 13:03 I am strong 13:08 In the strength of the Lord 13:13 I will trust in you 13:19 I will trust in you 13:25 Let the weak say 13:27 I am strong 13:31 In the strength of the Lord 13:37 I will trust in you 14:22 In India Child Impact funds both a school for the blind 14:26 and a school for the deaf. 14:28 These two unique schools give both blind and deaf children, 14:33 which come from very poor communities 14:36 the opportunity to have a specialized education. 14:40 Many of these kids would not have the opportunity 14:43 to get an education otherwise and at all. 14:47 Attendance at these schools literally guarantees them 14:51 a future and impacts their lives in a way 14:55 that they could never dream of. 18:20 I had the privilege of visiting the Sunrise Home in India. 18:24 The home is located in a rural place 18:27 and has over 12 acres of farmland 18:29 where they grow crops, 18:31 not only to feed the children at the home 18:33 but also to generate an income. 18:36 These children come from very traumatic backgrounds. 18:40 Most of them have been dumped, left, 18:43 abandoned by their families 18:46 but they're brought here where they're given hope. 18:49 It was so exciting for me 18:51 to see the happiness in their faces 18:53 because someone loves them and now, 18:57 they love Jesus too and Jesus loves them. 19:01 I want to tell you that 19:02 something that moved me about that place 19:05 was the fact that the administrator told me 19:07 that this area where the home is located 19:10 is full of poisonous snakes. 19:13 And people get bit all the time and they die 19:16 from these bites. 19:18 But the administrator shared with me 19:19 how not once has there ever been a child 19:22 that has been bitten by a snake 19:24 inside the home and I can't help 19:26 but think that God has His angels 19:29 surrounding that home, protecting those children. 22:05 Hallelujah, 22:12 Hallelujah 22:16 For our Lord God 22:19 Almighty reign 22:25 Hallelujah, 22:32 Hallelujah 22:37 For our Lord God 22:39 Almighty reign 22:46 Hallelujah 22:51 You are Holy, 22:55 Holy 22:59 Are you Lord God Almighty 23:06 Worthy is the Lamb 23:09 Worthy is the Lamb 23:12 You are Holy, 23:16 Holy 23:19 Lamb 24:34 Worthy is the 24:38 Lamb 24:44 Worthy is the Lamb 24:48 Worthy is the Lamb 26:00 Child Impact International is a wonderful 26:02 and amazing organization 26:05 that I have the privilege of representing 26:08 as it changes the lives of 1000s of children. 26:13 One of our programs is our sponsorship program 26:16 in which needy children are placed 26:19 in an Adventist Mission School. 26:22 This not only gives the child an education, 26:25 it also gives hope to their family, 26:28 and lends financial support to the Mission School. 26:32 There are a number of other ways 26:34 that you can support Child Impact, 26:37 not just through the sponsorship, 26:39 these programs that I mentioned, 26:41 as part of my mini-concert today. 26:44 I would like to invite you to go to childimpact.org 26:49 Look at all of the information that is there 26:52 the programs that they have, and pray and ask God 26:56 if He would have you get involved 26:58 in making a difference in the lives of needy children. 27:02 Thank you for participating with us today. 27:05 And may God bless you. 27:10 I am so excited to have been able to partner 27:13 with Child Impact International 27:16 to produce this special concert. 27:19 I am privileged to be an ambassador 27:22 for Child Impact and I've seen firsthand 27:26 the work that they do. 27:28 I have visited schools and seen projects 27:31 with my own eyes in India and Myanmar. 27:35 The impact that they are having on children's lives 27:38 because of your support is amazing. 27:42 I also want to share with you 27:44 that I'm releasing a brand new CD 27:47 early next year, 27:48 so please watch for the details. 27:52 Every Christmas Child Impact 27:54 features their major Christmas appeal 27:57 which is called Impact gifts. 28:01 This Christmas appeal features three key programs. 28:05 The first is the Where Needed Most Fund, 28:09 which not only supports the operation, 28:12 the entire operation but also allows them to support 28:15 the urgent requests that they receive. 28:19 It is the key fund to running the organization 28:23 as well as to be able to help others. 28:26 The next fund is the Blind, Deaf and Orphan Fund, 28:29 which is the key program to help support 28:32 special needs children. 28:35 The third appeal is the Operation Child Rescue, 28:39 which is doing such an incredible work in rescuing, 28:43 rehabilitating and giving hope to trafficked 28:47 and vulnerable children. 28:49 Please give thought to how you can support 28:54 Child Impact at this critical time. 28:57 And I encourage you to go to their website, 29:00 childimpact.org 29:02 That's childimpact.org 29:06 I hope you enjoyed the concert 29:09 and Child Impact is grateful for your support. |
