00:16 Hi and welcome back to His Words Are Life.
00:18 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and thank you 00:20 for joining with me to read. 00:21 Before we start, let's pray together. 00:22 Dear Jesus, thank you so much for the word of life 00:27 that You have given to us to guide our feet safely, 00:31 to be a light to our path, to be a sword in our hand 00:36 as we do battle with the enemy. And we can't do it alone. 00:40 We need You with us every second, every bit of the way. 00:43 So please join us now - especially focusing our hearts 00:47 and minds on these truths that we are going to read 00:49 so that we will understand more deeply 00:51 and they will take root in our lives to Your glory. Amen. 00:56 We are reading in the book of Leviticus, and we are in 00:59 chapter 22 beginning with verse 32. 01:02 And this is the King James version. 01:04 Neither shall ye profane My holy name; for I will be hallowed 01:10 among the children of Israel: I am the Lord which hallow you. 01:13 That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: 01:17 I am the Lord. 01:20 Continuing on in chapter 23 of the book of Leviticus. 01:23 This is the King James version. 01:25 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 01:28 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 01:30 Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim 01:34 to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts. 01:38 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the 01:42 Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; 01:45 ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the Lord 01:49 in all your dwellings. 01:51 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, 01:54 which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 01:56 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the 01:59 Lord's Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month 02:02 is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: 02:05 seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 02:08 In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation: 02:12 you shall do no servile work therein. 02:14 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord 02:17 seven days: in the seventh day is a holy convocation: 02:21 you shall do no servile work therein. 02:24 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 02:26 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 02:29 When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, 02:33 and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring 02:36 a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest: 02:40 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, 02:43 to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath 02:47 the priest shall wave it. 02:49 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf 02:53 a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering 02:57 unto the Lord. And the meat offering thereof shall be 03:01 two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, 03:05 an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savor: 03:09 and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, 03:12 the fourth part of a hin. 03:14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, 03:17 nor green ears, until the self- same day that ye have brought 03:20 an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever 03:24 throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 03:27 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, 03:31 from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; 03:34 seven Sabbaths shall be complete; 03:37 Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number 03:41 fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord. 03:45 You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves 03:49 of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; 03:52 they shall be baked with leaven; 03:54 they are the first fruits unto the Lord. 03:57 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without 04:00 blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: 04:03 they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, 04:06 with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, 04:08 even an offering made by fire, of sweet savor unto the Lord. 04:13 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, 04:18 and two lambs of the first year 04:19 for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 04:21 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first 04:25 fruits for a wave offering before the Lord, 04:27 with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord 04:31 for the priest. And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame 04:34 day that it may be a holy convocation unto you: 04:37 ye shall do not servile work therein: it shall be a statute 04:41 for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 04:45 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, 04:47 thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy 04:50 field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any 04:53 gleaning of thy harvest; thou shalt leave them unto the 04:57 poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God. 05:00 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 05:03 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, 05:04 in the seventh month, in the first day of the month, 05:07 shall you have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, 05:12 a holy convocation. You shall do no servile work therein: 05:16 but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 05:19 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 05:20 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be 05:24 a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you; 05:28 and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering 05:31 made by fire unto the Lord. 05:34 And ye shall do no work in that same day: 05:37 for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you 05:41 before the Lord your God. 05:43 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted 05:46 in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 05:51 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, 05:55 the same soul will I destroy from among his people. 05:59 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever 06:03 throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 06:07 It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict 06:13 your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, 06:15 from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath. 06:18 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 06:21 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, 06:23 The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the 06:27 feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord. 06:30 On the first day shall be a holy convocation: 06:33 you shall do no servile work therein. 06:35 Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire 06:40 unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation 06:44 unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire 06:47 unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; 06:50 and you shall do no servile work therein. 06:53 These are the feasts of the Lord which ye shall proclaim 06:57 to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire 07:01 unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, 07:04 a sacrifice, and drink offerings, 07:06 everything upon His day: 07:08 Beside the Sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, 07:11 and beside all your vows, 07:12 and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give 07:14 unto the Lord. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh 07:18 month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, 07:21 ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: 07:25 on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day 07:28 shall be a Sabbath. And ye shall take you on the 07:31 first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, 07:36 and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; 07:38 and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. 07:42 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days 07:46 in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your 07:49 generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 07:52 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites 07:57 born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know 08:01 that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, 08:04 when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: 08:06 I am the Lord your God. 08:08 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel 08:11 the feasts of the Lord. 08:14 We are continuing to read in the book of Leviticus. 08:16 This is now chapter 24 and it's the King James version. 08:20 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 08:23 Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee 08:26 pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps 08:30 to burn continually. Without the veil of the testimony, 08:33 in the tabernacle of the congregation, 08:36 shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning 08:39 before the Lord continually: it shall be a statute for ever 08:43 in your generations. He shall order the lamps 08:46 upon the pure candlestick before the Lord continually. 08:49 And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: 08:53 two tenth deals shall be in one cake. 08:57 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, 09:01 upon the pure table before the Lord. 09:03 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, 09:07 that it may be on the bread for a memorial, 09:10 even an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 09:13 Every Sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord 09:17 continually, being taken from the children of Israel 09:21 by an everlasting covenant. And it shall be Aaron's 09:25 and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: 09:28 for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the Lord 09:32 made by fire by a perpetual statute. 09:35 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an 09:40 Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: 09:44 and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel 09:49 strove together in the camp; And the Israelitish woman's 09:53 son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. 09:57 And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was 10:01 Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:) 10:06 And they put him in ward, that the mind of the Lord 10:10 might be showed them. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 10:14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; 10:18 and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, 10:22 and let all the congregation stone him. 10:25 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, 10:29 Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin. 10:33 And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, 10:36 he shall surely be put to death, 10:38 and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: 10:41 as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, 10:44 when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death. 10:48 And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. 10:52 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; 10:54 beast for beast. And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor, 10:59 as he hath done, so shall it be done to him; 11:03 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: 11:08 as he hath caused a blemish in a man, 11:12 so shall it be done to him again. 11:15 And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: 11:18 and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death. 11:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, 11:27 as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God. 11:31 And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should 11:34 bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, 11:37 and stone him with stones. 11:39 And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses. 11:44 Again, we are reading in the 11:45 book of Leviticus chapter 25. 11:47 And this is the King James version. 11:49 And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying, 11:53 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 11:56 When ye come into the land which I give you, 11:59 then shall the land keep a Sabbath unto the Lord. 12:03 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, 12:05 and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, 12:08 and gather in the fruit thereof; 12:09 But in the seventh year shall be a Sabbath of rest unto the land, 12:14 a Sabbath for the Lord: 12:16 thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. 12:20 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest 12:24 thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine 12:28 undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land. 12:32 And the Sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; 12:36 for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, 12:38 and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger 12:40 that sojourneth with thee, 12:42 And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, 12:46 shall all the increase thereof be meat. 12:49 And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee, 12:54 seven times seven years; and the space of the seven 12:58 Sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 13:02 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound 13:06 on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement 13:10 shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. 13:14 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, 13:17 and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the 13:20 inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; 13:24 and ye shall return every man unto his possession, 13:28 and ye shall return every man unto his family. 13:30 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: 13:33 ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself 13:38 in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. 13:42 For it is the jubilee: it shall be holy unto you: 13:46 you shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. 13:49 In the year of this jubilee ye shall return every man 13:53 unto his possession. And if thou sell aught 13:56 unto thy neighbor, or buyest aught of thy neighbor's hand, 13:59 ye shall not oppress one another: 14:02 According to the number of years after the jubilee 14:05 thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, and according unto the number 14:09 of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee: 14:12 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase 14:15 the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years 14:18 thou shalt diminish the price of it: 14:20 for according to the number of the years of the fruits 14:23 doth he sell unto thee. 14:24 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; 14:28 but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the Lord your God. 14:33 Wherefore ye shall do My statutes, and keep My judgments, 14:37 and do them: |
