00:14 Hello, and welcome back to His Words Are Life.
00:16 I'm Kelly Mowrer, and today we're going to continue reading
00:19 from the book of Psalms.
00:21 But before we start, let's pray together.
00:23 Dear Heavenly Father, we bless You, and we praise You,
00:28 and we thank You for Your mercy and Your kindness to us.
00:32 Please send Your Holy Spirit now to open our heart to
00:36 hear the message You have for each one of us
00:38 in these words today.
00:40 We love You and thank You for loving us.
00:42 Amen.
00:43 We're reading in Psalm 62, picking up with verse 3,
00:48 and this is the King James Version.
00:51 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man?
00:55 ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be,
01:00 and as a tottering fence.
01:02 They only consult to cast him down from his Excellency:
01:06 they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth,
01:10 but they curse inwardly.
01:12 Selah.
01:13 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation
01:20 is from him.
01:21 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense;
01:28 I shall not be moved.
01:30 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength,
01:37 and my refuge, is in God.
01:39 Trust in him at all times; ye people,
01:43 pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
01:49 Selah.
01:50 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree
01:55 are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether
01:59 lighter than vanity.
02:00 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery:
02:06 if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
02:10 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this;
02:14 that power belongeth unto God.
02:18 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
02:23 for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
02:28 Continuing Psalm 63.
02:30 This is the King James Version.
02:32 Oh God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
02:39 my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee
02:43 in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
02:46 to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee
02:51 in the sanctuary.
02:52 Because thy loving-kindness is better than life,
02:57 my lips shall praise thee.
02:59 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands
03:04 in thy name.
03:05 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;
03:10 and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
03:14 when I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee
03:19 in the night watches.
03:21 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy
03:26 wings will I rejoice.
03:28 My soul followeth hard after thee:
03:31 thy right hand upholdeth me.
03:34 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it,
03:37 shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
03:40 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a
03:44 portion for foxes.
03:45 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth
03:50 by him shall glory; but the mouth of them
03:53 that speak lies shall be stopped.
03:56 This is Psalm 64 of the King James Version.
04:00 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer:
04:02 preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
04:06 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked;
04:10 from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
04:13 who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows
04:17 to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
04:20 that they may shoot in secret at the perfect:
04:23 suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
04:27 They encourage themselves in an evil matter:
04:30 they commune of laying snares privily; they say,
04:35 Who shall see them?
04:36 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent
04:40 search: both the inward thought of every one of them,
04:44 and the heart, is deep.
04:46 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
04:49 suddenly shall they be wounded.
04:52 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves:
04:57 all that see them shall flee away.
05:01 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God;
05:05 for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
05:10 the righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust
05:13 in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
05:18 This is Psalm 65 of the King James Version.
05:21 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and unto thee
05:28 shall the vow be performed.
05:31 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
05:36 Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions,
05:41 thou shalt purge them away.
05:44 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest,
05:47 and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy
05:51 courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house,
05:55 even of thy holy temple.
05:57 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer
06:00 us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence
06:04 of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off
06:07 upon the sea: which by his strength setteth fast
06:11 the mountains; being girded with power:
06:14 which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves,
06:18 and the tumult of the people.
06:19 They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid
06:23 at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning
06:27 and evening to rejoice.
06:30 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it:
06:33 thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God,
06:37 which is full of water: thou preparest them corn,
06:41 when thou hast so provided for it.
06:43 Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the
06:46 furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers:
06:50 thou blessest the springing thereof.
06:53 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness;
06:56 and thy paths drop fatness.
06:59 they drop upon the pastures of the wilderness:
07:02 and the little hills rejoice on every side.
07:06 the pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are
07:11 covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
07:15 Continuing Psalm 66.
07:18 This is the King James Version.
07:20 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
07:24 Sing forth the honor of his name: make his praise glorious.
07:28 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works!
07:32 through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit
07:36 themselves unto thee.
07:37 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee;
07:41 they shall sing to thy name.
07:43 Selah.
07:44 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing
07:48 toward the children of men.
07:49 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on
07:54 foot: there did we rejoice in him.
07:57 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations:
08:03 let not the rebellious exalt themselves.
08:05 Selah.
08:06 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise
08:11 to be heard: which holdeth our soul in life,
08:15 and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
08:18 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us,
08:22 as silver is tried.
08:24 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction
08:29 upon our loins.
08:30 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads;
08:34 we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us
08:39 out into a wealthy place.
08:41 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings:
08:45 I will pay thee my vows, which my lips have uttered,
08:48 and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
08:50 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings,
08:55 with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats.
08:58 Selah.
08:59 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare
09:03 what he hath done for my soul.
09:04 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled
09:08 with my tongue.
09:09 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear
09:14 me: but verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the
09:20 voice of my prayer.
09:21 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer,
09:25 nor his mercy from me.
09:28 Continuing with Psalm 67.
09:30 This is the King James Version.
09:33 God be merciful unto us, and bless us;
09:37 and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
09:41 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health
09:45 among all nations.
09:47 Let the people praise thee, O God;
09:49 let all the people praise thee.
09:52 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy:
09:55 for thou shalt judge the people righteously,
09:58 and govern the nations upon earth.
10:00 Selah.
10:02 Let the people praise thee, O God;
10:04 let all the people praise thee.
10:06 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God,
10:10 even our own God, shall bless us.
10:14 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth
10:16 shall fear him.
10:18 Continuing with Psalm 68.
10:21 This is the King James Version.
10:22 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered:
10:27 let them also that hate him flee before him.
10:31 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away:
10:35 as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish
10:41 at the presence of God.
10:42 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God:
10:47 yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
10:49 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
10:53 extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH,
10:58 and rejoice before him.
11:00 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
11:05 is God in his holy habitation.
11:08 God setteth the solitary in families:
11:12 he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
11:15 but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
11:18 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people,
11:22 when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
11:26 the earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence
11:31 of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God,
11:35 the God of Israel.
11:36 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain,
11:41 whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
11:45 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God,
11:48 hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
11:51 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those
11:56 that published it.
11:57 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home
12:02 divided the spoil.
12:03 Though ye have lain among the pots,
12:07 yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver,
12:11 and her feathers with yellow gold.
12:14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it,
12:17 it was white as snow in Salmon.
12:19 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan;
12:23 an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
12:26 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God
12:31 desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.
12:35 The chariots of God are twenty thousand,
12:38 even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them,
12:41 as in Sinai, in the holy place.
12:44 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive:
12:49 thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious
12:54 also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.
12:57 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
13:04 even the God of our salvation.
13:07 Selah.
13:08 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord
13:14 belong the issues from death.
13:16 But God shall wound the head of his enemies,
13:19 and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still
13:23 in his trespasses.
13:25 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan,
13:28 I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
13:31 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies,
13:35 and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
13:36 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God,
13:41 my King, in the sanctuary.
13:43 the singers went before, the players on instruments
13:47 followed after; among them were the damsels
13:50 playing with timbrels.
13:51 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord,
13:56 from the fountain of Israel.
13:57 There is little Benjamin with their ruler,
14:00 the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun,
14:03 and the princes of Naphtali.
14:05 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God,
14:10 that which thou hast wrought for us.
14:14 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring
14:18 presents unto thee.
14:20 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls,
14:23 with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself
14:27 with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people
14:30 that delight in war.
14:32 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out
14:36 her hands unto God.
