00:06 It has stood the test of time,
00:12 God's book, the Bible. 00:14 Still relevant in today's complex word. 00:21 It Is Written sharing hope around the globe. 00:36 This is It Is Written. 00:38 Thanks for joining me. 00:39 I'm John Bradshaw. 00:41 As a newly minted high school student, just 12 years old, 00:45 I was fortunate enough to have a good English teacher. 00:48 A Mr. Braithwaite. 00:50 Now he might have been good but the truth is I don't 00:52 remember too much about the actual class - the odd 00:54 writing assignment maybe - although I do remember 01:00 poetry. 01:01 Somehow poetry made a bit of an impression on me. 01:03 And I vividly remember learning this poem by the 01:05 British poet Rupert Brooke: "If I should die, think only 01:10 this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field 01:13 that is for ever England. 01:15 There shall be in that rich earth a richer dust 01:18 concealed; A dust whom England bore, shaped, made 01:20 aware..." 01:21 and so on... 01:24 The poem was called, "The Soldier", and Brooke was a 01:26 soldier in World War I. 01:27 I'm not really sure why we young high schoolers had to 01:31 study that particular piece of verse, but I've never 01:33 forgotten it so there must be something about the way it's 01:36 written. 01:37 Good poetry endures. 01:39 Sometimes poetry that isn't any good endures too. 01:42 And down through the annals of time there've been many 01:45 great poets and many memorable poems. 01:49 I was always slightly amused by this one. 01:52 I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. 01:57 A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the sweet 02:00 earth's flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all 02:03 day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray... 02:07 That's from 'Trees' by Joyce Kilmer who was from New 02:10 Jersey. 02:11 TS Elliot was slightly more gritty. 02:14 Because I do not hope to turn again Because I do not hope 02:19 Because I do not hope to turn Desiring this man's gift and 02:23 that man's scope I no longer strive to strive towards such 02:27 things (Why should the agèd eagle stretch its wings?) Why 02:32 should I mourn The vanished power of the usual reign? 02:34 And so forth ... 02:36 Which is from the poem, "Ash Wednesday". 02:39 In the 1800s Elizabeth Browning Barrett wrote, How 02:43 do I love thee? 02:44 Let me count the ways. 02:47 I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul 02:50 can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of 02:54 being and ideal grace... 02:57 Well... 02:59 And you can't really discuss poetry without mentioning 03:01 William Shakespeare. 03:03 All the world's a stage,? 03:05 and all the men and women merely players; ?they have 03:09 their exits and their entrances,? 03:12 and one man in his time plays many parts,? 03:15 his acts being seven ages. 03:16 There you go. 03:19 It's from Shakespeare's work "As You Like It". 03:22 I've got a brother who used to be a bit of a poet - I 03:24 mean, an amateur poet. 03:26 His wife tells the story about how she first became 03:29 attracted to him by the poetry he wrote. 03:33 Evidently he had a way with words back then and thereby 03:36 won her heart. 03:38 Just as wel certainly didn't get her with his looks... 03:43 The Bible contains a lot of poetry. 03:47 Of the 66 books in the Bible, 5 of them are books 03:50 of poetry: The book of Job is a book of poetry. 03:53 The book of Psalms is a collection of 150 psalms - 03:56 songs, mainly - poems, really they are. 04:00 Proverbs is another of the poetic books of the Bible: 31 04:03 chapters of wisdom. 04:04 If you like, a chapter every day for a month if you like 04:07 to read that way - and it's fairly straightforward 04:10 reading. 04:11 Ecclesiastes is poetry - Solomon's reflections on the 04:15 ultimate meaning of life. 04:18 And then there's one more book of poetry in the Bible - 04:22 a book that has caused a lot of people to scratch their 04:25 heads and wonder. 04:27 I'd say it's one of the least read books of the Old 04:29 Testament. 04:31 It's The Song of Solomon. 04:33 What's THAT about? 04:36 There are only 117 verses in the 8 chapters of the Song of 04:40 Solomon. 04:41 Yet it's a book of the Bible not very many people have 04:44 read. 04:45 It's a love story, and the language can get a bit 04:48 intense at times... 04:51 I would venture to suggest that a lot of people have not 04:54 figured out how the Song of Solomon can play a role 04:56 in their devotional lives. 04:59 So let's consider - the Song of Solomon. 05:03 How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince's 05:06 daughter!? 05:07 The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the 05:11 hands of a skillful workman. 05:13 Song of Solomon 7:1 NKJV What's THAT all about? 05:18 We'll find out more about the Song of Solomon 05:21 in just a moment. 05:25 In Matthew 4:4 the Word of God says, "It is written, man 05:28 shall not live by bread alone but by every word that 05:32 proceeds from the mouth of God. 05:34 Every Word is a one-minute Bible based daily devotional 05:37 presented by Pr. 05:38 John Bradshaw and designed especially for busy people 05:43 like you. 05:43 Look for Every Word on selected networks or watch it 05:46 on-line every day on our website, itiswritten.com. 05:50 Receive a daily spiritual boost. 05:52 Watch Every Word. 05:54 You'll be glad you did. 05:55 Here's a sample. 05:59 ♪[Music]♪ 06:05 The privilege of a believer in Jesus isn't simply to believe 06:07 right or to be forgiven. 06:10 What God wants to do in our lives goes much deeper. 06:13 It's important we let God do a complete work in our lives. 06:17 This is Luke 11:24-26, "When an unclean spirit goes out 06:20 of a man, he goes through dry places, 06:23 seeking rest; and finding none, he says, 'I will return to my 06:26 house from which I came.' And when he comes, 06:29 he finds it swept and put in order. 06:32 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more 06:35 wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and 06:39 the last state of that man is worse than the first." 06:42 Luke 11:24-26, NKJV Faith in Jesus isn't simply the 06:45 denying of what it wrong, but it's being filled up with the 06:48 One who is right. 06:49 Let Jesus fill you up today. 06:52 I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written. 06:54 Let's live today by Every Word. 07:00 Planning for your financial future is a vital aspect of 07:03 Christian stewardship. 07:05 For this reason, It Is Written is pleased to offer 07:07 free planned giving and estate services. 07:10 For information on how we an help you, please call 07:14 1.800.992.2219. 07:16 Call today or visit our special website, 07:19 www.hislegacy.com. 07:28 Thanks for joining me today on It Is Written. 07:31 The book of Genesis. 07:33 Well, you know what that's about. 07:35 It's the book of beginnings - the creation story, the fall, 07:38 the flood, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph...that's 07:42 Genesis Then there's Exodus - the Israelites exit Egypt and 07:46 they begin their journey to the Promised Land. 07:49 What's Proverbs about? 07:50 - Well that's the book of wisdom. 07:53 Matthew, Mark, Luke, John - the stories of Jesus' life 07:56 and ministry. 07:57 Easy. 07:58 But the Song of Solomon? 08:00 If you've spent much time reading the Bible or going to 08:03 church you'll likely recognize some of the verses 08:06 in the Song of Solomon. 08:08 "He brought me to the banqueting house, and his 08:11 banner over me was love." 08:12 That's Song of Solomon 2:4 NKJV That phrase "The little 08:16 foxes that spoil the vines", that comes from Song of 08:19 Solomon 2:15 NKJV "This is my beloved, and this is my 08:23 friend." 08:24 Song of Solomon 5:16 NKJV That's popular at weddings. 08:30 As is, "Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the 08:33 floods drown it. 08:34 If a man would give for love, all the wealth of his house, 08:37 it would be utterly despised. 08:39 Song of Solomon 8:7 NKJV But the content of the Song 08:43 of Solomon is generally rather different to any other book 08:46 in the Bible. 08:48 "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love 08:51 is better than wine." 08:54 Song of Solomon 1:2 NKJV "Your lips are like a strand 08:58 of scarlet, and your mouth is lovely. 09:02 Your temples behind your veil are like a piece of 09:05 pomegranate." 09:06 Song of Solomon 4:3 NKJV "Your two breasts are like 09:10 two fawns, twins of a gazelle, which feed among the 09:13 lilies." 09:14 Song of Solomon 4:5 NKJV Now that's an interesting book. 09:18 Why the... 09:21 language? 09:22 Well, the Song of Solomon is an allegory, using the love 09:26 and affection expressed between Solomon and his wife 09:29 - or at least, one of his wives - to express the love 09:32 and tender care of God towards the church. 09:35 No it's certainly a love story, no doubt about it, 09:39 and in this story is expressed the love between Solomon 09:41 and his wife. 09:42 But God uses it to represent the greater love - the love 09:47 of God for His church, and the love of God's people 09:50 for Him. 09:52 The key character in the Song of Solomon is Jesus - 09:55 and some people find it curious that God would express 09:58 His love for His people and Christ's commitment 10:01 and devotion to a sinful human beings in this way. 10:05 But perhaps the Song of Solomon helps us to see how 10:08 the relationship between a man and a woman who love each 10:15 other is designed by God to be representative of the love 10:18 of God for His people. 10:19 The imagery isn't entirely unique to the Song of Solomon 10:22 - in Isaiah 54:5 God says, "Your Maker is your husband." 10:24 Isaiah 54:5 NKJV And Paul told the Corinthians, "For I 10:28 have betrothed you to one husband." 10:31 2 Corinthians 11:2 NKJV In the Bible - especially in 10:36 Bible prophecy - a woman is used as a symbol to represent 10:40 a church. 10:42 You find that in Jeremiah 6:2, where God says, "I have 10:46 likened the daughter of Zion to a lovely and delicate 10:49 woman." 10:50 Jeremiah 6:2 NKJV Hosea uses the same symbol (find that in 10:53 Hosea 1:2, in fact, the whole book of Hosea) and God uses 10:56 the symbol of a woman to represent a church 10:59 in the book of Revelation, especially in 11:04 Revelation 12 and 13. 11:06 So for God to use this story, The Song of Solomon, 11:09 to represent his love for his church, isn't a stretch at 11:12 all. 11:14 It seems that in the Song of Solomon, Solomon had just 11:17 become King. 11:19 In his early 20s he was rich, powerful and very likely very 11:23 handsome and up until that time a very eligible 11:27 bachelor. 11:28 You can imagine Solomon thinking about his future 11:30 and thinking about his world and then wondering where 11:34 he was going to find a wife. 11:36 At first blush you might think that every girl in the 11:38 land would marry him - if only he would ask. 11:41 But Solomon had to walk that minefield of finding out 11:45 whether a woman loved him for himself or simply because 11:48 he was the king. 11:50 A modern royal love story is that of Prince William 11:53 and Kate Middleton - now the Duchess of Cambridge. 11:55 It seems to be a story of two young people drawn together 11:59 by mutual love. 12:01 In apparent contrast the Prince's father's experience 12:03 with finding true love was rather more anguished. 12:07 Prince Charles' marriage to Princess Diana was fraught 12:10 with difficulty and ended in discord. 12:13 And later there was tragedy. 12:15 So how would Solomon find a wife who truly loved him? 12:19 Well, he hatched a plan. 12:22 He disguised himself as a shepherd and started 12:24 to travel throughout his kingdom looking for Miss Right. 12:28 How long did that take him? 12:30 Well, some time I think, because by the end of his 12:32 search he found himself at the farthest end of his 12:34 kingdom in the land of Shulam - and it was there that he 12:38 met the woman of his dreams. 12:40 They fell in love, the girl from a farming family 12:43 and Solomon the King disguised as a shepherd. 12:46 We can probably imagine how Solomon felt. 12:49 He's head-over-heels in love, walking on air because he's 12:53 found the woman who truly fulfills him. 12:56 Now the girl - though obviously beautiful - 12:59 had a low opinion of herself. 13:01 She said, "Do not look upon me, because I am dark, 13:06 because the sun has tanned me. 13:09 My mother's sons were angry with me; they made me the 13:12 keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not 13:16 kept." 13:17 Song of Solomon 1:6 NKJV This young maiden worked 13:21 on her family farm. 13:22 And the rest of the Song of Solomon goes through 13:25 their love story, hers and Solomon's. 13:27 It seems Solomon liveed with the family for some time as 13:29 this relationship developed... 13:31 and then he disappeared. 13:34 Out of sight. 13:36 Never to be found again it seemed. 13:38 Just --- gone. 13:40 How would a woman in love feel having that experience 13:47 thrust upon her? 13:48 Now it does happen, you know. 13:49 Do you remember back in 2005, a woman in Duluth, Georgia 13:53 disappeared four days before her wedding day? 13:56 Therwas a huge search, more than 200 people taking part 13:58 in the search for her. 13:59 A 32-year-old, who simply left her fiancé with 14:05 absolutely no idea of where she was. 14:07 Now she called him a couple of days later - the day 14:09 before they were scheduled to be married - and she claimed 14:11 that she'd been abducted... 14:13 Now thankfully it was all a hoax and the woman 14:15 hadn't been harmed. 14:17 The poor girl simply had cold feet and skipped town, and at 14:21 the time the story was unfolding there was an 14:23 outpouring of sympathy for a young man whose wife-to-be 14:27 had simply vanished. 14:30 The woman in Song of Solomon expresses her sorrow like 14:33 this. 14:34 Song of Solomon 3:1-3 "By night on my bed I sought the 14:39 one I love; I sought him, but I did not find him. 14:44 'I will rise now,' I said, 'And go about the city; in 14:47 the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I 14:49 love.' I sought him, but I did not find him." 14:54 Song of Solomon 3:1-3 NKJV She must have felt as though 14:56 her world was coming to an end. 15:00 Put yourself in that position: she likely had 15:02 trouble focusing on work and probably didn't get much 15:05 sleep. 15:06 But while we don't know how long this separation went on 15:09 for, it can't have been "very" long because in Song 15:12 of Solomon later on in chapter 3 it says this. 15:17 Who is this coming out of the wilderness like pillars of 15:19 smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all 15:24 the merchant's fragrant powders? 15:27 Behold, it is Solomon's couch,? 15:30 with sixty valiant men around it, of the valiant of Israel. 15:34 They all hold swords, being expert in war. 15:38 Every man has his sword on his thigh because of fear in 15:40 the night. 15:41 Of the wood of Lebanon Solomon the King made himself 15:45 a palanquin [chariot]: He made its pillars of silver, 15:49 its support of gold, its seat of purple, its interior paved 15:53 with love ?by the daughters of Jerusalem." 15:57 Song of Solomon 3:6-10 NKJV The cry must have gone 16:02 through the land, "Solomon is coming! 16:04 Lets go out to meet him." 16:05 Her heart would have raced: "Where is he going? 16:10 Is he coming to see me?" 16:12 Well we know the answer. 16:13 He was traveling to the furthest reaches of his 16:15 kingdom to the land of Shulam to find his true love. 16:19 Can you imagine what it was like when Solomon and his 16:22 entourage stood at her door? 16:24 And you can you imagine how she felt when she realized it 16:27 was Solomon... 16:28 the one that she loved so much? 16:31 Chapter 3 verse 4 says that when she found Him "I held 16:35 him and would not let him go till I had brought him to my 16:40 mother's house, to the room of the one who conceived me." 16:43 Isn't that a wonderful story? 16:46 Now, how does this tell us about Jesus? 16:50 How does the Song of Solomon reveal the love that God has 16:53 for his people? 16:55 I've got that just ahead. 17:05 Eyes for India is giving sight to the blind and you 17:08 can be a part of this amazing work that God is doing. 17:12 15 million blind people live in India, more than any other 17:15 country in the world. 17:17 And many of the blind in India could see again, if 17:20 only they could have simple cataract surgery. 17:23 It Is Written is making that happen. 17:26 Would you support Eyes for India? 17:29 For just $75, you'll be giving the gift of sight to 17:33 someone who desperately wants to see. 17:35 Here is all you need to do. 17:37 Call 1.800.253.3000. 17:40 That's 1.800.253.3000 to donate and support eyes for 17:47 India. 17:48 Or you can write to It Is Written, Box O, Thousand 17:51 Oaks, California 91359. 17:54 You'll also find Eyes for India on-line at It Is 17:59 Written.com. 18:00 Every $75 you give gives someone the precious gift of 18:03 sight. 18:04 Eyes for India, doing the work of Jesus in opening the 18:08 eyes of the blind and opening hearts to the love of God. 18:11 Call 1.800.253.3000 or write to Box O, Thousand Oaks, 18:18 California 91359 or visit itiswritten.com 18:25 Thanks for joining me today on It Is Written. 18:27 I'm John Bradshaw. 18:29 Do you think that God is busy? 18:31 Now by human terms, I'd say that God probably is. 18:34 The Bible tells us that He created all things and that 18:36 includes this vast universe. 18:39 Then about $6,000 years ago, Adam and Eve turned their 18:42 back on God. 18:44 They allowed sin into their lives - and into the world. 18:46 The Bible is clear that sin is the transgression of the 18:50 law and the wages of sin is death. 18:54 Let me ask you this: In his busyness, did God turn his 18:56 back on Adam and Eve? 18:58 Well no, of course he didn't. 18:59 In fact, ahead of time, God had devised a plan where if 19:03 Adam and Eve were to turn from Him, God would restore 19:07 them. 19:08 Jesus - like Solomon in the Song of Solomon - would go 19:11 out in search of the lost. 19:13 Jesus left heaven and travelled to the farthest 19:16 reaches of his kingdom. 19:18 And where did he end up? 19:19 He came to us. 19:20 He came to this sinful world and calls to our hearts - 19:25 just as He called to Adam in the Garden of Eden after they 19:28 fell. 19:29 God went in pursuit of Adam and Eve and you'll read in 19:32 the Book of Genesis that God came to them saying, "Adam, 19:35 where are you?" 19:37 The Song of Solomon discusses the love between a Creator 19:40 God and His children here on the Earth: a Saviour who 19:44 loves us so much that he crossed the universe to find 19:48 us and save us for His kingdom. 19:50 And the Song of Solomon doesn't stop there. 19:53 It tells us just what type of relationship Jesus wants to 19:56 have with us. 19:58 What happened when Solomon met his girl? 20:01 Sparks began to fly! 20:03 They got married. 20:05 And in chapter 8:5 we see Solomon and his bride. 20:11 "Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her 20:14 beloved?" 20:16 Song of Solomon 8:5 NKJV This is a picture of 2 people in 20:18 love. 20:19 It describes Mrs. Solomon as leaning on her beloved. 20:23 It is not just a picture of 2 people holding hands. 20:25 It is more than that. 20:27 They are in love and she is described as leaning her full 20:30 weight on Solomon. 20:31 Solomon is supporting her. 20:32 If he'd pulled away right then, Mrs. Solomon would have 20:35 fallen over. 20:36 She trusts him completely. 20:39 And isn't that the same type of relationship Jesus wants 20:42 us to have with him? 20:44 I remember reading about some Bible translators somewhere 20:47 in the South Pacific trying to find a way to translate 20:49 the word 'faith' into the local language, as the word 20:52 didn't exist in that language. 20:54 They finally decided to use the idea of leaning one's 20:58 whole weight upon something to portray what faith was. 21:02 To lean your whole weight upon. 21:05 To have faith in. 21:06 God wants us to lean our whole weight upon Him. 21:09 To cast all our cares upon Him. 21:12 Verse 7 of Song of Solomon chapter 8 says "Many waters 21:18 cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. 21:22 If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, 21:25 it would be utterly despised." 21:28 Song of Solomon 8:7 NKJV Pure love is something that cannot 21:32 be destroyed. 21:33 It isn't something that can be bought. 21:35 And this is the kind of love that God offers to us... 21:38 for free. 21:40 God comes to us at a time that we most need Him and he 21:43 sweeps us off our feet. 21:44 He says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; 21:48 therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." 21:51 Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV I got to know a lady once, a single 21:55 Mom with a lovely daughter about, oh, 10 to 12 years 21:58 old. 21:59 She'd had some unfortunate relationships that had caused 22:02 some real trouble in her life in the past. 22:05 She said to me one day, she said, "John, I've finally met 22:09 a man that I can love!" 22:11 I was happy - so I asked the obvious question. 22:15 "Who?" 22:16 She smiled, she paused, and then she said, simply, 22:22 "Jesus. 22:23 She said, He'll never leave me, He loves me for who I am 22:26 and He'll never let me down." 22:30 How right she was. 22:31 And perhaps this is one of the most encouraging verses 22:35 in the book. 22:36 "Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the 22:43 moon, clear as the sun, awesome as an army with 22:47 banners?" 22:48 Song of Solomon 6:10 NKJV You see God looks with admiration 22:52 upon His church - a church that will one day be ready to 22:55 meet Him. 22:57 What a day that's going to be! 22:59 And the thing that's going to get us from here to there is 23:02 the love of God and our love for Him. 23:05 When we understand that God loves His people passionately 23:08 - using one of the greatest love stories in the Bible to 23:10 describe that love - something wonderful is going 23:13 to happen. 23:14 You can trust Someone you know loves you completely. 23:18 You can feel safe with Somebody that you know loves 23:20 you completely. 23:22 And you can love Somebody that you know loves you no 23:26 strings attached, which is why the Bible says, "We love 23:30 Him, because He first loved us." 23:33 1 John 4:19 NKJV [Music] 23:37 And if you've ever wondered if God has a plan for this 23:39 troubled world, the Song of Solomon assures you 23:43 He definitely does. 23:44 Jesus left this Earth 2000 years ago, but not so He'd be 23:49 gone forever. 23:50 Like Solomon in the story, He'll be back soon to get His 23:55 bride. 23:56 If you'll learn to lean on your beloved, one day soon 24:00 you'll see Jesus return. 24:02 The wait will be worth it. 24:04 We'll be reunited with Jesus - and we'll be with Him 24:09 forever. 24:10 You can be ready. 24:13 You don't need to think that your Beloved has forgotten 24:15 you, or that when He comes back He won't be coming back 24:18 for you. 24:19 If you can choose to have faith in this great God who 24:24 interestingly the Bible says is Love. 24:26 It doesn't just say that God loves, it says in 1 John 4 24:29 that God IS love. 24:31 If you can learn to accept that love, you'll experience 24:37 a complete transformation in your life and you will find 24:40 loving God is the easiest thing in the world. 24:44 Perhaps we should pray now and ask that God, the one who 24:47 loves us so much, will keep us, preserve us and soon come 24:52 to get us and take us home. 24:53 Let's pray. 24:55 Our Father in heaven, I thank you that you love us 24:58 passionately. 25:00 I thank you that you are crazy about this world. 25:02 I thank you that you long to come soon and gather up your 25:06 people and take them home. 25:08 Let that day come soon and let us be ready by exercising 25:13 simple faith in this great God who is love. 25:16 Lord, we choose you today. 25:18 Thank you for loving us. 25:20 Give us the grace to love you back and to grow in you as we 25:25 trust you and lean on you. 25:27 We thank you today and we pray in Jesus' name, Amen. 25:56 Perhaps our program today has touched your heart and 25:58 impressed you with a personal need for deeper Bible study. 26:02 If you desire to listen to God and follow where he 26:04 leads, we've got a wonderful resource that can help you do 26:07 that in a systematic way, The Discover Bible Guides. 26:11 These study guides will take you through the essential 26:14 truths taught in scripture. 26:15 They give you the big picture, showing how it all 26:18 fits together. 26:19 The Discover Bible Guides are a wonderful way for you to 26:22 become grounded in the Word of God and to see how Jesus 26:25 Christ relates to all the areas of our lives please 26:29 call or write us and the Discover Bible Guides will be 26:32 on their way to you. 26:33 If you live in North America, we'll mail these Bible Guides 26:36 free of charge. 26:37 Or for easier or immediate access from anywhere around 26:40 the world, you can get these wonderful Bible lessons on 26:43 our website, itiswritten.com. 26:49 Request the Discover Bible Guides by calling our toll 26:53 free number, 1-800-253-3000. 26:57 Call right now and tell us the name of today's free 27:00 offer The Discover Bible Guides. 27:04 Lines are open 24 hours. 27:06 If they are busy when you call, keep trying. 27:08 You can also request today's offer by writing to, It Is 27:12 Written, Box O, Thousand Oaks, CA 91359. 27:18 If you wish to support the worldwide outreach of It Is 27:21 Written, your tax-deductible gift may be sent to the same 27:23 address or you can make a gift on-line at 27:26 itiswritten.com. 27:29 Thank you for your letters and for your continued 27:31 support. 27:32 Our toll-free number is 1.800.253.3000 and our web 27:37 address is itiswritten.com. 27:47 Thanks for joining me today. 27:48 I look forward to seeing you next time. 27:50 Until then, remember - It Is Written, man shall not live 27:54 by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the 27:58 mouth of God. |
