00:18 >>John Bradshaw: Thanks for joining me on "It Is Written." 00:21 We're looking at Daniel 7 in our continuing series 00:24 on the book of Daniel. 00:26 Daniel 1-6 is basically a collection of stories. 00:30 When you get to Daniel 7, there's a change of emphasis. 00:34 We're looking at the prophecies of Daniel now. 00:37 In Daniel 7 we're going to look at, among other things, 00:40 the identity of the beast of Bible prophecy. 00:43 We'll see beasts that rise up out of the sea, 00:46 horns and wings and seas and animals, 00:48 symbols that help us to unlock the Bible's mysteries. 00:52 We'll see that Revelation builds on the book of Daniel, 00:56 and we'll identify the connection 00:57 between Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. 01:00 And we're going to see that some of the interpretations 01:03 of Bible prophecy that have been offered over the years 01:05 have been...creative. 01:09 [whoosh] 01:10 ♪[orchestral music swells]♪ 01:12 [tinkling sound of wind-blown sand] 01:13 [whoosh, distant bell rings] 01:17 [wind blowing, sand swishing] 01:21 [recording of Mikhail Gorbachev speaking Russian] 01:24 You might remember people saying years back 01:26 that the beast of Bible prophecy was Mikhail Gorbachev. 01:29 Now, he was the premier of the Soviet Union 01:32 when Eastern European communism came to an end 01:34 in the early 1990s. 01:36 Mr. Gorbachev had a prominent birthmark, 01:39 often referred to as a port-wine stain, 01:42 on his forehead, which led thinking people--I kid you not-- 01:47 to decide that Mikhail Gorbachev was the antichrist. 01:52 That mark on his forehead evidently had something to do 01:55 with the mark of the beast. 01:57 He died in August of 2022 01:59 without ever really giving off antichrist vibes. 02:03 Now, he did do commercials for Pizza Hut, 02:06 but you'd have to really dislike pizza to think that 02:09 that qualified him to be the antichrist. 02:12 It's worth mentioning this confusion 02:14 because it will help us to study the Bible carefully, 02:17 which we should. 02:19 And I have to say I don't expect everyone will agree 02:22 on any one interpretation of the Bible. 02:25 There are--how many denominations? 02:28 So, here's what we'll agree on: 02:29 That the Bible is the inspired Word of God, 02:32 that Jesus is the Son of God, 02:35 that Jesus died for our sins, that all people are sinners, 02:38 and that people are saved by grace through faith 02:41 in Jesus Christ. 02:42 Now, what else? 02:43 We believe God loves us. 02:45 We believe in baptism. 02:47 Oh, wait a minute, already someone's saying, 02:51 "Ah, but what kind of baptism?" 02:52 So, given that there's agreement and disagreement, 02:56 let's be gracious as we attempt to uncover the meaning 02:59 of Daniel, chapter 7. 03:02 We keep in mind that the first six chapters of Daniel 03:04 are stories, but once we get to Daniel 7, 03:07 we're now into prophecy. 03:09 Don't worry that prophecy is too hard to understand. 03:12 If you pray, think, read carefully, 03:15 and follow a few basic rules, 03:17 you'll find the prophecies of Daniel can be understood. 03:21 So, let's look at Daniel 7, starting in verse 1: 03:25 "In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon 03:28 "Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: 03:32 then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters." 03:37 So, where are we in time? Babylon fell in chapter 5. 03:41 In Daniel 6 it said Darius the Mede was king. 03:45 But now in Daniel 7 we're back to Belshazzar 03:49 being king of Babylon. 03:50 So, why the chopping and changing? 03:53 Now, that's because Daniel grouped the stories together 03:56 in the first half of the book 03:57 and then the prophecies in the second half of the book. 04:00 The book was not compiled strictly chronologically. 04:04 It's just the way the book was put together. 04:06 "Daniel spake and said, 'I saw in my vision by night, 04:10 "'and, behold, the four winds of the heaven 04:12 "'strove upon the great sea. 04:15 "'And four great beasts came up from the sea, 04:18 diverse one from another.'" 04:20 Let's look at them together: 04:22 "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: 04:26 "I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, 04:28 "and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand 04:31 "upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 04:34 "And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear. 04:37 "And it raised up itself on one side, 04:40 "and it had three ribs in the mouth of it 04:42 "between the teeth of it: 04:43 "and they said thus unto it, 'Arise, devour much flesh.' 04:47 "After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, 04:51 "which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; 04:54 "the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. 04:59 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold 05:02 "a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, 05:05 "and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: 05:09 "it devoured, and brake in pieces, 05:10 "and stamped the residue with the feet of it: 05:13 "and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; 05:17 and it had ten horns." 05:19 Four beasts: a lion, a bear, a leopard, 05:25 and then something that Daniel can't classify, 05:28 which has 10 horns. 05:30 Daniel said, "I considered the horns, and, behold, 05:33 "there came up among them another little horn, 05:36 "before whom there were three of the first horns 05:39 "plucked up by the roots: 05:41 "and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, 05:46 and a mouth speaking great things." 05:48 We'll find that that little horn and the beast of Revelation 13, 05:52 the one with the mark, 05:54 the one the whole world follows in the end of time, 05:57 we'll find that they are the same entity. 06:00 Back in 1999, the "Los Angeles Times" reported on the plethora 06:05 of people identified over the years as the antichrist, 06:09 referring to the confusion on the subject 06:11 as "Pin the Tail on the Antichrist." 06:14 They mentioned Bill Gates had been named by some, 06:16 as well as King Juan Carlos of Spain, who abdicated the throne 06:20 in 2014 amid scandals and allegations. 06:23 Studying the Bible isn't about making sensationalistic guesses. 06:28 We want to ascertain what the Bible is really saying 06:33 by comparing scripture with scripture. 06:36 Daniel had his dream at the start of Belshazzar's reign, 06:39 around 540 B.C., and it was quite a dream. 06:43 Daniel said he "saw...the four winds of the heaven" 06:46 as they "strove upon the great sea." 06:49 In prophecy, the sea or waters represents people. 06:55 Revelation 17:15, "Then he said to me, 06:58 "'The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, 07:01 are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.'" 07:05 Water or seas represents multitudes of people. 07:10 What Daniel saw was strife and warfare 07:13 among the people of the world, 07:15 opening the way for us to understand verse 3: 07:18 "And four great beasts came up from the sea, 07:20 diverse one from another." 07:22 So, what are these beasts? 07:24 We have a clear answer from the Bible, 07:26 from this very same chapter. 07:29 Notice what verse 17 says: 07:31 "These great beasts, which are four, 07:34 are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth." 07:38 And to nail that down even tighter, we see verse 23: 07:42 "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth." 07:47 So, a beast is a kingdom or, you could say, a nation. 07:52 So, the power in Revelation cannot be Mikhail Gorbachev 07:57 or King Juan Carlos of Spain-- or Ronald Reagan. 08:01 Oh, no joke. 08:03 Some said former President Reagan was the antichrist 08:06 because his name was Ronald, six letters, 08:08 Wilson, six letters, Reagan, six letters-- 08:13 Ronald Wilson Reagan, 6-6-6. 08:18 Now, that's not how prophecy is to be interpreted. 08:23 And it can't possibly be true because the beasts spoken of 08:26 in Daniel 7--and, therefore Revelation 13-- 08:28 represent a kingdom or a nation. 08:32 So, Daniel here was seeing the rise and the fall of nations. 08:37 Verse 4: 08:38 "The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: 08:42 "I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, 08:45 "and it was lifted up from the earth and made stand 08:48 upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it." 08:52 For the sake of time, let's take a shortcut 08:54 and introduce a principle of prophetic interpretation. 08:58 Back in Daniel 2, King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed 09:01 of a statue constructed from various materials. 09:04 The head of the statue was made of gold, 09:06 the chest and arms were of silver, 09:08 the midsection was made of bronze, 09:10 and the legs were made of iron. 09:13 Then there were the feet, which were made of iron and clay. 09:16 Those various metals represented kingdoms. 09:19 The head of gold, that was Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon; 09:23 the chest and arms of silver, Medo-Persia; 09:26 the belly and thighs of brass, Greece; 09:29 and the legs of iron represented Rome. 09:32 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome-- 09:35 that's the foundation in the book of Daniel. 09:39 And it resurfaces several times, 09:41 even providing a platform for understanding 09:43 the book of Revelation. 09:45 Daniel 2 is foundational. 09:48 What follows in the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation 09:52 is built on that. 09:54 Now, here's the shortcut I mentioned. 09:57 In prophecy there's a principle known as "repeat and enlarge." 10:03 That's where God says something and then He says it again 10:07 but enlarges upon it, giving more information. 10:11 He does that in Daniel and Revelation. 10:14 The information in Daniel 2 is repeated in Daniel 7 10:18 and enlarged upon, with additional information given. 10:23 Daniel enlarges upon what he wrote in Daniel 2. 10:26 So, the beast-- 10:29 actually, let me pause here and point something out. 10:32 That word "beast" is not an insult. 10:35 It sort of sounds like one, but it isn't. It's a symbol. 10:38 It could just as easily say "animal" as "beast." 10:43 In Daniel 7 you're seeing animals, 10:44 which represent something else, 10:47 just like an eagle represents the United States 10:50 or a kiwi represents New Zealand. 10:52 So, why did God use symbols in prophecy instead of just 10:57 coming out and telling us what He was talking about? 10:59 Wouldn't that remove a lot of guesswork, 11:01 save a lot of confusion? 11:03 Well, maybe, but that's not the point. 11:06 Symbols can get a point across. 11:09 Satan is described as "a roaring lion" 11:12 in 1 Peter, chapter 5. 11:14 That's evocative. 11:15 It, it gives you more understanding. 11:18 Symbols also serve specifically to obscure what is being said, 11:24 which sounds counterintuitive but isn't. 11:27 It might be that what was written was sensitive, 11:30 and it wouldn't be wise to spill all the beans. 11:33 When John wrote Revelation, 11:35 he was a prisoner under house arrest. 11:38 Some of what he wrote would not have been pleasing 11:40 to the Roman authorities, 11:41 so codifying it would have been prudent. 11:45 And then there's another aspect of this. 11:47 For your own good, God wants you to dig a little. 11:52 The fact that gold is harder to get to than topsoil 11:56 doesn't stop people digging for gold--because it's worth it. 12:01 You know that verse: 12:02 "And you will seek me and find me, 12:04 when you search for me with all your heart." 12:07 Jeremiah 29:13. 12:09 That's the principle. 12:10 God isn't making it difficult, but He's asking us 12:14 to apply ourselves so we can understand His Word. 12:19 Now, if we parallel Daniel 7 with Daniel 2, 12:21 then we discover--well, let's have Daniel state it for us. 12:25 "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth." 12:28 That's Daniel 7:23. 12:30 We know from our study of Daniel 2 12:32 the fourth kingdom or nation mentioned is Rome. 12:35 So, the first one, the lion with eagle's wings? 12:39 Babylon. We read that "a man's heart was given to it," 12:42 a reference to the conversion of Nebuchadnezzar. 12:45 Following Daniel 2, the second beast is therefore 12:48 Medo-Persia, the joint kingdom of the Medes and the Persians. 12:52 And yes, we can figure that out even without Daniel 2. 12:55 Daniel 5 and Daniel 6 made that clear. 12:58 It's "raised up...on one side" because the Persians 13:01 were more powerful than the Medes, and it has three ribs 13:03 in its mouth because Medo-Persia conquered 13:05 three significant nations on its way to power. 13:09 The third kingdom, the leopard, now, that would be Greece, 13:12 corresponding to the midsection of brass in Daniel 2. 13:15 It "had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; 13:18 the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it." 13:22 Daniel 7, verse 6. 13:23 Leopards are fast animals. 13:26 This one had four wings, 13:28 representing the incredible speed with which Greece, 13:31 under Alexander the Great, conquered the ancient world. 13:35 Four heads? 13:36 When Alexander died, he didn't leave Greece under the power 13:41 of a single individual, but it was divided among four generals. 13:46 And then, the fourth beast, Rome, 13:49 which was "dreadful and terrible, 13:51 and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth." 13:56 In Daniel 2 Rome was represented by the legs of iron, 14:00 and now we're given more information. 14:04 Daniel said, "I\it was diverse from all the beasts 14:06 that were before it; and it had ten horns." 14:09 So, here's a wrinkle: 10 horns. 14:12 Not difficult. This is Rome giving way to...something. 14:17 In Daniel 2 you had Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, 14:21 and then feet of iron and clay. 14:24 Now, we're not explicitly told in Daniel 2, 14:28 but we can imagine that the average foot has how many toes? 14:32 Right, five. 14:34 Two feet in Daniel 2--10 toes. Here in Daniel 7, 10 horns. 14:40 In Daniel 2, Rome gives way to 10 nations 14:44 that come up out of its ashes. 14:46 In Daniel 7, same thing, but the symbol is different. 14:51 This time it's 10 horns. 14:54 Verse 24 says, "The ten horns out of this kingdom 14:56 are ten kings that shall arise." 15:00 Rome gives way to 10 nations, just like it does in Daniel 2. 15:05 That's the repeat part. 15:08 When the Roman Empire disintegrated, 15:10 10 nations rose up out of its ruins: 15:12 the Suevi, Alamanni, Lombards, Anglo-Saxons, 15:16 Vandals, Visigoths, Franks, 15:18 Heruli, Ostrogoths, 15:19 and the Burgundians. 15:21 They became people groups in Europe today: 15:22 Burgundians--Swiss; 15:24 uh, Anglo-Saxons, uh-- the English; 15:27 Alamanni--now, if you're a Spanish speaker, 15:29 you'll know that "Alemania" is Spanish for "Germany." 15:32 So, those nations became people groups that we recognize today. 15:37 Then Daniel says, "I considered the horns, and, behold, 15:41 "there came up among them another little horn, 15:44 "before whom there were three of the first horns 15:46 "plucked up by the roots: 15:48 "and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, 15:53 and a mouth speaking great things." 15:56 And we can identify that. 15:58 Now we're enlarging. This is new information. 16:03 Daniel 7 introduces us to a judgment scene, 16:05 and it states that ultimately "the beast"--the nation-- 16:08 "was slain, and his body destroyed, and given 16:12 to the burning flame." 16:13 In verses 13 and 14, Jesus, after this judgment time, 16:18 is brought before the Father and receives an eternal kingdom. 16:21 Daniel states he doesn't really understand this vision. 16:26 "I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, 16:29 and the visions of my head troubled me." 16:31 He asks the angel, and he's told of four mighty nations, 16:35 and that God's people would inhabit God's kingdom 16:38 forever and ever. 16:39 We have access to everlasting life through faith in Jesus. 16:44 Everyone has that opportunity, 16:46 but, sadly, not everyone will take it. 16:50 I hope you'll take it and see that God offers you more 16:54 in this life, as well as the world to come. 16:57 Now, verse 23: 16:59 "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, 17:02 "which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, 17:04 "and shall devour the whole earth, 17:06 and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces." 17:09 And that's true of the kingdom of Rome. 17:12 It was a mighty power, extending across a broad swath 17:15 of the planet from just south of Scotland, 17:18 taking in England and Wales, western Europe, 17:20 and then across Europe and North Africa, 17:23 north and south of the Mediterranean to as far 17:25 as the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, and the Caspian Sea. 17:30 So, 10 horns--10 nations will come out of the Roman Empire, 17:35 but "another shall rise after them; 17:38 "and he shall be diverse from the first, 17:41 and he shall subdue three kings." 17:44 So, it's obvious we're not looking at Bill Gates here 17:48 or a supercomputer or a silicon chip-- 17:51 or a Jew in the Middle East. 17:54 A commonly held view is that the power that rises up 17:57 in earth's last days is a Jewish man in the Middle East. 18:01 It's said that the antichrist has to be a counterfeit Christ, 18:06 and because Jesus was a Jewish man, 18:08 this entity has to be a Jewish man. 18:10 Which sounds reasonable-- could be right, I suppose, 18:15 except that's not the direction the Bible appears to lean. 18:20 What's happening in Daniel is that four kingdoms rise, 18:25 the last one divides into 10 nations, 18:28 and out of the midst of those nations, uh, 18:30 another small nation rises up and assumes a certain role. 18:35 Doesn't sound like a Jewish man. 18:37 I'm going to run something by you. 18:40 Jesus died and went to heaven and left the disciples in charge 18:44 of the brand new early Christian church. 18:47 Over time, this church began to lose its way. 18:51 Jesus said the church of Ephesus had lost its first love. 18:56 The church of Thyatira allowed apostasy to flourish. 19:00 Over time the church was influenced by paganism. 19:04 And by the Middle Ages a rash of unbiblical ideas 19:07 permeated Christianity, to the extent that when people 19:10 promoted baptism by immersion in the Middle Ages, 19:14 they were persecuted, and many of them were put to death. 19:17 The Bible was outlawed. 19:21 In the 15th century, the church in England dug up the remains 19:26 of the Bible translator John Wycliffe and burned them. 19:29 One hundred years later, William Tyndale was executed 19:33 for the crime of translating the Bible into English. 19:38 Martin Luther was persecuted. 19:40 Protestants were murdered by the millions, 19:43 according to historians. 19:45 The church had people praying to the dead, 19:48 buying forgiveness, confessing their sins to human beings, 19:53 and living in superstition. 19:55 It was a mess. 19:56 The church of that day was so corrupt 19:59 Luther and Tyndale and others identified it 20:03 as the small kingdom in Daniel 7 20:05 and the nation brought to view in Revelation 13. 20:09 Now, does that check out, according to the Bible? 20:13 Well, consider the identifying marks in Daniel 7. 20:16 It's said to be small, and that it arises 20:20 among the other 10 horns, and where were they? 20:23 Remember, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, 20:26 and the 10 nations arise out of what was the Roman Empire. 20:31 So this little horn must arise in Europe. 20:34 In it "were eyes like the eyes of a man." 20:37 There would be a man at its head, 20:40 and it would have "a mouth speaking great things" 20:42 and--Revelation adds-- "blasphemies." 20:46 Verse 25 says that whoever this power is, 20:49 it will "speak great words against the Most High." 20:52 It will "wear out"--or persecute--God's people. 20:55 It will "think to change" God's law, 20:58 and it will rule for 1,260 years-- 21:02 "a time...times and half a time." 21:05 That is a year, two years, and half a year, 21:10 1,260 days. 21:12 And we remember that a day in prophecy represents a year, 21:16 so, 1,260 years. 21:20 Only the papacy of the Roman Catholic Church 21:23 fulfills those specifications, not a single person, 21:28 not individual church members. 21:30 This represents a government, a nation, 21:33 which is what the Vatican is, a very powerful, sovereign nation. 21:38 It has a man at its head. It persecuted God's people. 21:42 It rose up in western Europe. 21:44 It ruled for 1,260 years 21:47 before having its authority removed by the emperor Napoleon 21:51 in the year 1798. 21:53 It's different from the other 10 nations 21:55 as it's a combination of church and state, 21:58 and it thought to change God's law, 22:01 actually amending the Ten Commandments in its teachings. 22:05 This prophecy points in only one direction. 22:09 Could the prophecy in Daniel 7 possibly point 22:12 to King Charles of the U.K. 22:14 or former President Ronald Reagan? 22:18 No. That's just not possible. 22:22 Daniel 7 unfolds before you as you read. 22:26 Four powerful kingdoms: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome. 22:30 Then Rome divides; it did that in 476 A.D.; 22:34 then the 10 horns, then the little horn, and then judgment, 22:39 meaning Jesus will be returning soon. 22:44 Beyond the rise and fall of nations, 22:45 Daniel 7 tells us that God is in control. 22:48 God sets up kingdoms and takes them down. 22:51 Prophecy is fulfilling, and the Protestants reformers 22:54 were accurate in their interpretation of the prophecies 22:57 of the Bible. Now, uh, one thing. 23:00 Someone is waiting for me to address the idea 23:02 that the little horn is a man named Antiochus Epiphanes, 23:06 a Roman general. 23:07 I'm going to save that for Daniel 8, 23:10 which we'll look at soon. 23:11 And what I'll share about that then will be as clear as clear. 23:17 Now, let's review. What do we see in Daniel 7? 23:19 We've shifted away from the stories and into the prophecies 23:22 of Daniel, pointing to events in earth's last days, 23:25 leading up to the return of Jesus. 23:27 We see a progression, 23:29 the rise and fall of nations, building upon Daniel 2. 23:32 In Daniel 2, the kingdoms are represented by metals: 23:35 gold, silver, brass, and iron. 23:37 In Daniel 7, animals: a lion, a bear, a leopard, 23:42 and something Daniel doesn't really identify 23:44 because there was no animal known to him that could 23:47 adequately express this kingdom's ferocity and power. 23:50 Then, just as in Daniel 2, the kingdom in Daniel 7 divides 23:55 into 10 nations, and in the midst of them rises up 23:59 a small but very powerful nation. 24:03 It would speak great things and make war against the saints. 24:07 But then, judgment would come. 24:10 Jesus will receive His kingdom. 24:12 And speaking of that small kingdom, 24:15 "They shall take away his dominion to consume 24:17 and...destroy it unto the end." 24:20 Now, notice verse 27: 24:22 "And the kingdom and dominion, 24:23 "and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, 24:26 "shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, 24:29 "whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, 24:32 and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." 24:36 So, it's not all about beasts and horns. 24:38 Daniel is a book of salvation. 24:41 God informs us about how certain things will happen 24:44 in this world. He's alerting us to coming world events 24:47 and the trouble that will accompany them. 24:50 But the net result is that "the kingdom and dominion... 24:53 shall be given to the...saints of the Most High." 24:56 And what did we read? 24:57 His "kingdom is an everlasting kingdom." 25:00 So, Jesus triumphs, as do those who have faith in Him. 25:05 We live in an evil world where the devil is at war 25:08 with the teachings of the Bible. 25:10 But those who trust in Jesus will reign with Him, 25:13 will live with Him forever. 25:15 You can look beyond life in this troubled world 25:18 to a time when Jesus returns, for you, 25:21 and takes you to be with Him for eternity. 25:23 As John wrote in Revelation, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." 25:29 I'd love for you to get today's free offer. 25:31 It's a study on this very subject, and it's called 25:34 "The Mystery Beast of Revelation." 25:36 It focuses on this prophecy in Daniel 7 25:38 and shows the direct connection with Revelation. 25:41 You'll learn how final events will play out, 25:44 and you may understand why there are 25:46 so many fascinating theories on the subject. 25:49 It's clear the devil wants this subject to be confused. 25:52 Get "The Mystery Beast of Revelation," 25:54 a comprehensive study of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. 25:58 Call 800-253-3000. 26:01 That's 800-253-3000. 26:05 You can text "freerise" to 71392. 26:09 That's "freerise" to 71392. 26:12 Write to the address on your screen 26:13 or visit iiwoffer.com. 26:16 This is something you really need to have, and it's free. 26:19 Call 800-253-3000. 26:21 That's 800-253-3000 26:24 or text "freerise" to 71392. 26:28 >>John: Thank you for remembering that It Is Written 26:30 exists because of the kindness of people just like you. 26:34 To support this international life-changing ministry, 26:37 please call us now at 800-253-3000. 26:41 You can send your tax-deductible gift 26:43 to the address on your screen, 26:44 or you can visit us online at itiswritten.com. 26:48 Thank you for your prayers and your financial support. 26:50 Our number again is 800-253-3000, 26:54 or you can visit us online at itiswritten.com. 26:59 >>John: Let me pray for you now. 27:01 Our Father in heaven, we thank You 27:02 that You make the prophecies of the Bible clear, 27:06 and that what might be tangled or twisted or confused 27:10 can be made plain as we read and prayerfully study the Bible. 27:15 Let Your Word become more and more precious to us. 27:18 Thank You that Daniel 7 says Jesus triumphs 27:21 and that we might do so with Him. 27:23 Friend, would you claim Jesus as your Savior now? 27:26 Would you say yes to Jesus? 27:27 Would you open up your heart to Him? 27:29 As you do, know that Jesus is your Savior 27:32 and you are His child. 27:33 We thank You, dear Lord, 27:35 thank You for the clarity of the Bible. 27:37 In Jesus' name, amen. 27:40 Thank you so much for joining me. 27:42 I'm looking forward to seeing you again next time. 27:44 Until then, remember: 27:45 "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, 27:49 but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" 27:52 ♪[dramatic, triumphant theme music]♪ 28:25 ♪[music ends]♪♪ |
