of the 00:13 Energy Shack Juice Bar in 00:15 Scarborough, Ontario. 00:17 >> Carolyn, thank you for 00:18 joining us again on 00:19 It Is Written Canada. 00:21 >> Thank you, René and Mike, 00:22 for having me again. 00:23 I'm so excited to share 00:25 some of these success 00:26 stories with you. 00:27 ♪♪ 01:15 >> Carolyn, last week you 01:16 shared how the power of God 01:18 transformed your life and also 01:21 how He became an agent of 01:24 wholeness and healing to 01:25 everyone that you met. 01:27 You also told us about the 01:29 Energy Shack Juice Bar in 01:30 Scarborough, Ontario. 01:32 So can you refresh our 01:33 memories a little bit? 01:34 [Carolyn] Sure! 01:35 Yeah, absolutely. 01:36 So as I mentioned last week 01:38 just, you know, God had been 01:40 calling me for so long and 01:42 just gave me a passion for 01:43 truth and with that came the 01:45 health message. 01:46 I just so wanted other people 01:49 to feel what I was feeling, 01:50 this wonderful way of living, 01:52 so much energy and it just 01:54 helped me draw closer to Him 01:56 and I just couldn't help but 01:57 wanna share that with the 01:58 whole world. 01:59 I didn't know how at the time, 02:01 but I'm so grateful that He 02:02 opened up the opportunity for 02:04 the Energy Shack. 02:05 >> So food is a big part of 02:07 it, of course, but it's more 02:08 than just food. 02:10 So what is your role there at 02:11 the Energy Shack? 02:13 More than just preparing food, 02:14 I know you do a lot of that. 02:16 [Carolyn] Yeah, absolutely! 02:16 >> And tell us some of the 02:17 success stories, 02:18 I love success stories. 02:19 >> Sure, yeah. 02:19 So at the Energy Shack, 02:21 of course, we are a juice bar, 02:22 you know, cold-pressed juices 02:24 and meals and salads and 02:25 sandwiches and wraps, but 02:28 that's not really what makes 02:29 the Energy Shack tick. 02:30 It just brings people through 02:32 the door so that I can have a 02:33 conversation with them and 02:34 some of our staff. 02:36 And basically, as a certified 02:38 wholistic nutritionist, I take 02:40 people on a 30-day journey 02:42 through the eight laws of 02:44 health and we literally watch 02:47 people get their life back. 02:49 I can't tell you how many 02:51 times I've heard people say, 02:52 "Carolyn, you saved my life." 02:53 And, of course, I didn't, 02:55 I'm just a messenger. 02:57 But we take people that 02:58 could have any range of 03:00 health issues. 03:02 We've seen so many different 03:04 ones, almost all of it, 03:06 from digestion, high blood 03:08 pressure, diabetes, type miracle in 03:21 30 days, but of course it 03:23 takes a long time for the body 03:24 to properly heal, but we just 03:26 watch people that go from sick 03:28 to getting better in less than 03:30 30 days, it's amazing. 03:32 >> Tell us about some of 03:33 those stories. 03:34 >> Yeah, so first I'd love to 03:37 share-- it was hard to pull so 03:39 many out of the hat, but I'd 03:42 like to share about Emmanuel. 03:43 So he's a pastor of a church, 03:46 looks like a very young, 03:48 vibrant man, on fire for the 03:50 Lord in everything he does, 03:51 but the truth is is that for 03:53 over ten years he was on 03:54 medication for blood pressure, 03:56 lots of gout flare-ups and it 03:59 was holding back his ministry. 04:00 So I will let him 04:02 tell his story. 04:04 >> My name is Emmanuel Dontoh 04:06 and a couple weeks back, 04:08 actually no, in August I 04:10 changed jobs, moved into this 04:12 neighbourhood around Progress 04:13 in Scarborough. 04:15 Prior to that I'd suffered a 04:17 couple of gout attacks 04:19 and I've been struggling with 04:22 blood pressure for, I would 04:24 say, close to about eight to 04:25 nine years now. 04:27 So I was put on medication a 04:28 couple years back. 04:29 I haven't seen any improvement 04:31 in my blood pressure. 04:32 As a matter of fact, last 04:33 couple months was scary. 04:35 I was teetering around 160, 04:37 170 and there were times that 04:39 I just felt like walking into 04:41 the hospital. 04:42 But then as I moved here, I 04:44 found this cool, nice, 04:47 you know, shack here that 04:49 obviously produces healthy 04:51 food so I came in here, 04:54 tried a couple of their drinks 04:55 for a couple days and then 04:57 decided to go on their plan. 04:59 And speaking to Carolyn, 05:01 who is obviously one of the 05:03 owners here, we spoke about 05:05 my lifestyle and I realized 05:07 that I was doing 05:08 everything opposite. 05:10 I mean, in terms of my eating 05:11 habits, my sleeping habits, 05:14 and all that came with it. 05:15 So we decided to go on a plan, 05:18 I did a detox for three days 05:21 and immediately I saw 05:23 a change. 05:24 I mean, my blood pressure 05:25 was around 164, 05:27 it came down to 137, 05:30 it was teetering around 142. 05:32 And I'm happy to say that it's 05:34 been-- I've been on their plan 05:36 for three weeks now, my blood 05:38 pressure has been teetering 05:40 around 127, 131 and it's 05:42 worked magic. 05:43 So I sleep well, sleep very 05:45 early, I've been following the 05:47 plan, I've been drinking a lot 05:48 of water, I've been 05:49 exercising, and I've been 05:52 taking life very easy and it's 05:53 worked out very well. 05:54 I really recommend this to 05:56 anyone who is struggling. 05:58 [Interviewer] What kinds of 05:59 medication are you on? 06:00 >> Nothing, I've stopped 06:01 taking my medication. 06:02 For ten years I was taking 06:03 these medications and it 06:04 did nothing. 06:05 So all it takes is your 06:07 lifestyle change, eating the 06:08 right food... 06:10 You know what, I should have 06:11 been on this a long time ago. 06:13 So I really recommend this 06:14 for you guys. 06:16 >> Well, Carolyn, that is a 06:18 very impressive 06:19 inspirational story. 06:21 Do you have any more success 06:22 stories for us? 06:23 >> Well, I could be here with 06:24 you actually all month if I 06:26 shared them all, but I've 06:28 picked a few of my favourites. 06:31 I would-- the next one I'm 06:32 gonna share is Leolyn. 06:34 And you can see this picture 06:36 here, before and after. 06:38 Leolyn is a frontline worker 06:40 and she had been overworking 06:42 herself through all of COVID 06:44 and also has young children at 06:46 home, wasn't really taking 06:48 care of herself and she just 06:49 came to a place where she had 06:51 no more energy and, as a 06:52 nurse, she was bothered that 06:54 she was on medications for 06:55 blood pressure and 06:57 nothing was changing. 06:58 She felt like life was just 06:59 gonna give. 07:01 But after she joined our 07:02 program and although it was 07:04 hard for her to fathom going 07:06 plant-based and drinking that 07:08 much juice that I recommended, 07:10 her life quickly changed. 07:12 Today she's completely off 07:13 blood pressure medication. 07:15 Her face shines so brightly 07:16 with all that vegetable juice. 07:18 Everybody compliments her, 07:19 but more than anything, 07:21 she has so much energy. 07:24 She has more energy, she tells 07:25 me her kids are telling her, 07:26 "OK, Mommy, stop!" 07:28 "We're not playing anymore!" 07:29 So it's really fantastic. 07:31 And, of course, the bonus, she 07:32 lost weight in the process, 07:33 but she's medication-free 07:35 today and just-- she feels 07:36 like a kid again with the 07:37 amount of energy she has. 07:39 [Mike] That's impressive! 07:39 >> Yeah, our stories are 07:41 almost endless. 07:43 I'm gonna show you a video now 07:44 of Angela. 07:45 She's not that old, and not 07:47 only was she on insulin, but 07:49 medication for her diabetes as 07:51 well, she was on blood 07:52 pressure meds, acid reflux 07:53 meds, I mean she was just a 07:55 walking bottle of medication 07:57 and unhappy with everything. 07:59 So listen to Angela's story. 08:03 >> Hi, my name's Angela and I 08:04 began my journey with Carolyn 08:07 October 2020 and I came to 08:09 Carolyn with a lot of 08:11 different ailments. 08:12 I had high blood pressure, 08:14 acid reflux, diabetes, 08:18 and high cholesterol. 08:19 So Carolyn and I, I guess we 08:21 did sort of a-- we had to do 08:23 the reversal, we didn't-- 08:24 couldn't start with a detox 08:25 'cause I had so many issues 08:26 going on so we started with 08:29 the meal plan, the 30-day meal 08:30 plan and I would say within 08:33 the first day or two there was 08:37 no acid reflux and I was able 08:38 to stop my meds completely and 08:40 haven't been on them since. 08:42 So my diabetes now would be-- 08:45 my blood sugars were 08:47 normalizing way better than 08:48 the readings that I was 08:50 getting before and since then, 08:53 I'm still on diabetic 08:55 medication, but I was on two 08:57 types of insulin and now I'm 08:58 on one with the dose reduced 09:01 drastically and my meds have 09:02 been also cut. 09:04 So I've had some great 09:06 benefits and I was a complete 09:08 junk-food-eater before, but 09:11 now I spend my money on-- here 09:14 at Energy Shack with the great 09:15 meals, the salads, and the 09:16 program, and the smoothies and 09:18 it's just been a blessing to 09:21 go through this journey with 09:22 Carolyn and her amazing staff 09:24 at Energy Shack. 09:27 >> I just love Angela's story. 09:29 You know, when we finished our 09:30 30 days she was actually 09:31 completely off medication, 09:33 but it's normal that not 09:35 everybody can be as perfect as 09:36 I want them to be, so with 09:38 Angela I love that it's just 09:40 become a journey for her and 09:41 although she's reduced now, 09:43 it's been quite a few months 09:44 since we did her journey. 09:46 She's really-- she's still on 09:48 less than half of her 09:49 medication and she knows that 09:51 if she could keep it up on 09:53 this plant-based program, 09:54 she will be completely 09:56 medication-free one day, 09:57 just like Prabu. 09:59 When I met Prabu, he was so 10:01 excited to make this change 10:03 that be brought his whole 10:04 family in so I did a program 10:06 with his whole family, 10:07 but Prabu, honestly, was 10:09 extremely sick. 10:10 Because he had diabetes, 10:12 they had put him on a lot of 10:14 medication, but none would 10:15 agree with him. 10:16 He was in the hospital, 10:17 vomiting, they couldn't 10:19 get a medication that would 10:20 stay down. 10:21 He was very, very sick, but 10:22 his blood sugar was so high 10:24 and then someone told him 10:25 about the Energy Shack and I'm 10:27 gonna let him tell you how it 10:29 changed his life. 10:31 >> My name is Prabu, I've been 10:34 on this program with Carolyn 10:36 to help me better myself, 10:39 right, physically and 10:43 health-wise for the 10:46 past four months. 10:49 The first month that I was in 10:51 I saw big changes 10:53 in my health. 10:56 I came in here with type 2 10:58 diabetic and I had a heart 11:02 attack last year in November. 11:05 We decided to do a family 11:07 consultation and change the 11:09 way that I eat with her 11:12 detoxing and everything. 11:15 My diabetes is literally gone. 11:18 There's no-- I don't have 11:20 diabetes anymore in a sense 11:22 where my sugar level readings 11:25 are 4.4 right now at the time 11:29 I checked it today and it 11:32 hasn't gone past 6 in the last 11:35 three months, right? 11:37 And the first month that I was 11:39 in, it dropped right away. 11:42 I followed her program, 11:43 I followed her detox 11:45 procedures, right, and 11:47 followed their nutrition plan 11:49 that she gave me, right, and 11:51 it helped me go-- I had-- I 11:54 probably had like seven to 11:56 eight different diabetic pills 11:58 that I was taking and some of 11:59 them actually gave me side 12:01 effects where I ended up in 12:02 the hospital in August because 12:05 of dehydration due to 12:07 vomiting and diarrhea 12:08 at the same time. 12:10 And then this is when a good 12:11 friend of mine introduced me 12:13 to Carolyn and I walked in, 12:15 you know, hoping that she 12:17 could make a change and she 12:18 did right away. 12:20 My kids are on the same diet 12:22 plan as she prescribed for 12:23 them and so is my wife and 12:26 she's lost a lot of weight and 12:28 she feels more healthier and 12:30 happier and more energetic. 12:32 One thing that I noticed with 12:33 her detox and her diet plan, 12:37 it gives me more energy to do 12:38 things that I wasn't able to 12:40 do before and I thank her very 12:43 much for everything she has 12:44 done for me and it was a 12:46 pleasure working with her and 12:48 I will continue to work with 12:49 her, you know, 12:50 throughout my life. 12:53 >> So, Carolyn, whenever we 12:54 talk about eating healthy, I 12:56 mean, Prabu, he obviously had 12:59 changed his life, but a lot of 13:02 people, they look at that and 13:04 they say, "Oh, yeah, OK, I'm" 13:05 "gonna be healthy, but oh no," 13:06 "I'm never gonna enjoy life" 13:08 "again because I'm gonna have" 13:09 "to eat all these vegetables" 13:11 and, you know, "just a piece" 13:12 "of lettuce" and, you know, 13:13 it's like, "this is gonna be" 13:14 "the most boring thing ever." 13:15 What do you say to 13:16 people like that? 13:17 [Carolyn] Well, you know, I 13:18 hear that all the time, but I 13:19 have to tell you that most 13:21 everybody who comes on our 13:22 program, of course I make 13:24 everybody go completely 13:26 plant-based, I hear all the 13:28 time, I just heard it again 13:30 last night with a couple I 13:31 counselled with, they said, 13:32 "I can't believe it," 13:33 "I don't miss the meat!" 13:34 You know, I hear this all the 13:37 time because not only do we 13:39 give wonderful, delicious 13:40 recipes for them to follow, 13:42 they can choose to get the 13:43 meals made by our chef if they 13:45 want to and we're not asking 13:47 anyone to eat cardboard or 13:48 lettuce only, you know, or 13:51 chomp on a cucumber all day, 13:52 plant-based is actually 13:55 full of flavour. 13:57 Because-- and it's simplistic. 13:59 Like, it doesn't have to be 14:00 complicated or difficult, you 14:01 don't have to make stuffed 14:02 peppers and cannelloni every 14:04 day, it's really simple. 14:06 When we show people how to do 14:07 the right food combinations, 14:09 they feel so nourished that 14:11 their system just doesn't 14:12 miss anything. 14:13 Which really leads me to 14:15 another testimony that I wanna 14:17 share of Nick. 14:20 And this one is really dear to 14:21 my heart because Nick's a 14:23 hairdresser, my hairdresser 14:24 actually and I think he should 14:26 be in Hollywood, but I'm glad 14:27 he's not. 14:29 But, you know, when Nick came 14:30 to see me, he had his own 14:32 business, Images Salon, and 14:35 although it was very busy, 14:36 Nick had a major dilemma on his 14:38 hands because from his teenage 14:40 years he started to get 14:42 rheumatoid arthritis and that 14:44 for most people is a lifetime 14:47 disease, but for Nick, 14:50 you know, he was edging up now 14:51 into his 40's, and it was very 14:54 hard for him to cut hair. 14:55 And he was starting to think 14:57 that he'd have to sell his 14:59 business and look at a 15:00 different career. 15:02 And he came into our store, 15:03 he actually saw a physical 15:05 video, I was there physically 15:06 explaining the eight laws of 15:08 health and he's like, 15:09 "You know what?" 15:10 "I'm gonna try this." 15:11 "So many of my friends keep" 15:12 "telling me to come to you." 15:13 "I'm here now." 15:14 But he came from an Italian 15:15 background, you know? 15:16 Meat and pasta and cheese, 15:17 wine, like this was 15:19 his lifestyle. 15:20 >> So that was affecting his 15:22 joints, his fingers, so that 15:23 they were hurting, 15:25 his hands... 15:26 >> You can't imagine! 15:27 He tells me today, and it's 15:28 been years later, that he 15:29 cannot believe the food that 15:31 he thought he was eating 15:32 culturally which would make 15:34 him happy, he couldn't believe 15:35 that was affecting his joints. 15:37 And Nick had seen ten 15:39 different specialists, 15:41 not even people in the natural 15:42 remedy world, ten different 15:45 specialists, doctors, 15:47 rheumatoid doctors, you know, 15:48 he'd get a temporary relief, 15:50 nothing stuck. 15:51 I gotta tell you that today 15:53 Nick didn't only just finish 15:54 our 30-day program, he has no 15:57 pain and he's actually 15:58 thinking of opening up 16:00 other locations. 16:01 It's been years, he tells me 16:03 all the time he would just-- 16:04 why would he change, he would 16:05 never go back, but most 16:07 doctors would tell you that 16:08 that's just not a disease that 16:10 can be cured, but Nick takes 16:12 no medications. 16:14 He cuts hair with ease and he 16:17 feels good every day. 16:18 And this is just one of so 16:20 many thousands of stories. 16:21 [Mike & René] Wow! 16:23 [Mike] And here he was eating 16:24 this way, he was enjoying his 16:26 food, but it was affecting 16:28 his body. 16:29 [Carolyn] Yes, yeah and the 16:31 thing about Nick is that he 16:32 looked healthy. 16:33 You can see in his picture, 16:34 he looks like a healthy, 16:36 you know, real cool guy that 16:38 has no issues, 16:39 but he was riddled with pain. 16:41 But not anymore, not since the 16:43 eight laws of health. 16:44 It's incredible. 16:45 It's life-transforming 16:46 and you know what I love, 16:48 Mike and René? 16:48 It's simple. 16:50 It does require a bit of 16:51 discipline, but it's simple. 16:53 And when you feel this good, 16:55 why would you wanna change? 16:57 >> Well, speaking of Italian, 16:59 last week we took a look at 17:01 Bev in the kitchen and she 17:04 made fresh marinara sauce with 17:06 zucchini noodles. 17:08 Today she's gonna make vegan 17:10 cashew parmesan to put on top 17:13 of those zucchini noodles. 17:15 And if you didn't see last 17:17 week, you can take a look on 17:19 our website or also on our 17:21 YouTube channel. 17:22 So let's take a look at Bev 17:24 making our parmesan cheese 17:26 right now. 17:29 >> Hi, everyone, I'm Bev and 17:31 today we're experiencing life 17:33 in the kitchen. 17:35 If you love pasta tossed in an 17:37 aromatic, beautiful tomato 17:39 sauce, well the very best 17:41 possible topping would be a 17:44 plant-based parmesan. 17:45 Forget the traditional 17:47 parmesan that's full of sodium 17:49 and lots of saturated fat. 17:51 Instead, today, I'm gonna show 17:53 you how to make a parmesan 17:55 made with cashews... 18:00 pumpkin seeds... 18:03 nutritional yeast or "nooch" as 18:06 we like to call it, 18:07 some salt, some garlic powder, 18:09 and onion powder. 18:11 Now the cashews are a great 18:13 source of iron, B6, protein, 18:17 definitely lots of protein, 18:19 fibre, the pumpkin seeds are 18:22 gonna add in some zinc, some 18:25 copper, phosphorus, and not 18:27 just one form of vitamin E, 18:29 but several. 18:31 Now the nutritional yeast, 18:33 not to be confused with 18:35 brewer's yeast, it's a 18:36 different strain and it's a 18:38 deactivated yeast so you don't 18:40 have to worry about eating a 18:41 live yeast, but it adds a nice 18:44 cheesy kind of flavour 18:46 to your dishes. 18:48 It's grown on a sugar-rich 18:49 medium like molasses. 18:51 It's harvested, dried, and 18:53 then heated to deactivate the 18:54 yeast cells and this 18:56 is what's left. 18:58 So today here's how we're 19:00 gonna make this 19:02 easy-peasy recipe. 19:04 We've got our food processor 19:06 here and we're gonna put in 19:11 our cashews, that's one cup, 19:14 we're gonna put in one cup 19:17 of the pumpkin seeds, 19:19 we're gonna put in half a cup 19:22 of the "nooch" or the 19:24 nutritional yeast, 19:26 we like to call it "nooch," 19:28 and we're gonna put in about 19:29 one and a half tea-- well, 19:32 about one and a half 19:34 tablespoons of Himalayan salt, 19:36 that's the pink 19:37 Himalayan salt. 19:38 Then we're gonna put in a 19:40 teaspoon of garlic powder and 19:43 a teaspoon of onion powder. 19:45 And then we're just gonna whiz 19:47 all of this together until 19:48 it's just fine crumbs. 19:50 We don't want a paste, just 19:52 the fine crumbs, we want it to 19:53 look like parmesan. 19:55 And, you know what, it's gonna 19:57 taste even better. 19:59 So let's put our top on 20:04 and I'm gonna make some noise. 20:05 [processor whirring] 20:18 Perfect! 20:19 Again, we don't want it like a 20:21 paste, but let me show you how 20:23 good this is. 20:26 Let's take out our blade and 20:32 OK, look at this coming out. 20:37 Isn't that gorgeous? 20:38 It has the colour of parmesan, 20:41 but it's even more flavourful 20:43 and much more 20:44 nutritious for us. 20:47 So here you go, and it's got 20:49 that salty goodness, but not 20:51 too much sodium. 20:53 And it's got the goodness of 20:54 the nuts, the protein and all 20:55 those trace minerals. 20:57 This is so good on top of your 20:59 pastas, we love this on our 21:01 salads, we love this on our 21:03 pasta sauces, you can put this 21:05 on pretty much anything you 21:07 like, potatoes, vegetables. 21:09 It's so delicious and totally 21:12 nutritious and it's just gonna 21:13 be this earthy, fantastic 21:15 goodness. 21:16 So enjoy this in good health. 21:20 >> Wow, that looked so 21:21 delicious and as you can see, 21:23 that is something that Nick 21:25 did, he dropped his pasta and 21:26 went for wonderful meals 21:27 like that. 21:28 I'm so glad you are sharing 21:29 those with the public 'cause 21:31 this is just the best 21:32 way to eat. 21:33 >> So, Carolyn, people are 21:35 watching and they're hearing 21:36 these success stories and 21:37 they're saying to themselves, 21:38 "I wanna do this." 21:40 So what do you-- 21:42 What does it look like? 21:43 How have these people changed? 21:45 What kinds of changes have 21:45 they made to their diet? 21:47 What kinds of changes have 21:48 they made to their lifestyle? 21:49 Tell us about that. 21:50 >> So no matter what issue you 21:51 come to me with, whether it's 21:53 digestion issues, diabetes, 21:55 high blood pressure, or sleep 21:57 disorders, we're gonna put 21:58 everybody through the eight 22:00 laws of health which the 22:01 acronym is NEWSTART. 22:03 So that is nutrition, 22:04 exercise, water, sunshine, 22:07 temperance, which means 22:09 self-control, "A" is for air, 22:12 fresh air, "R"is for rest, and 22:14 "T" is for time with God, 22:16 trust in divine power, really. 22:18 So as we put people through 22:20 these laws of health, of 22:21 course, I have to customize 22:23 them a bit depending on your 22:25 health issues there might be 22:26 certain vegetable or fruits or 22:28 grains that you may or may not 22:29 be able to eat and that's 22:30 where my consultations come 22:32 into play. 22:33 But most everybody is eating, 22:35 believe it or not, two meals a 22:37 day, yes, even my diabetics, 22:40 and I really wouldn't 22:42 recommend that, you know, you 22:43 just necessarily jump into 22:44 this if you have a health 22:45 issue, I do, as I mentioned, 22:47 I'll be offering free 22:49 consultation to all of your 22:50 viewers, we're taking our cost 22:51 off our consultation for all 22:52 your viewers. 22:54 We can share the website at 22:55 the end and you just use the 22:56 coupon code "ITISWRITTEN" and 22:59 you get a free consultation 23:00 with me no matter where you 23:01 are in the world, but 23:02 basically we're putting people 23:04 on having a whole food diet. 23:06 So most of us, even if we're 23:08 eating plant-based, we're 23:10 missing our fresh food. 23:12 So you would have a nice big 23:14 bowl of fresh fruit in the 23:15 morning, followed by some 23:16 whole grains, you'd wait an 23:17 hour, never eat and drink, 23:19 and just drink water until 23:21 you're hungry. 23:22 When you're hungry again, 23:24 you don't just jump into a 23:25 plant-based meal, but you have 23:26 a big salad first. 23:28 A lot of us, again, we're 23:29 missing that fresh food which 23:31 lowers the blood pressure, 23:32 gets rid of the toxins, 23:34 lowers the blood sugar, 23:35 takes away the inflammation. 23:37 So after your big salad 23:38 without vinegars, just some 23:40 lemon juice and olive oil, 23:41 then you have your delicious 23:43 plant-based meal. 23:44 And when you've eaten a big 23:45 breakfast and a really good 23:47 lunch, we're not 23:47 [unintelligible] about the 23:48 eight laws of health. 23:50 Because what happens is, at 23:51 night, instead of eating, 23:53 you're not so hungry, 23:54 metabolism slows down of 23:56 course 'cause it's night time, 23:58 and when you go to sleep, your 24:00 body's actually doing what it 24:01 was designed to do: heal and 24:04 repair rather than digesting 24:05 all night. 24:07 Most of us will put in a big 24:08 meal at night, go to sleep, 24:09 and we wake up exhausted 24:11 because our body's been 24:12 digesting all night. 24:14 This way when you sleep, your 24:16 body has all the energy to 24:17 just heal and repair, you wake 24:20 up so rested, rejuvenated, and 24:23 hungry for that big breakfast. 24:25 >> And where do your juices 24:27 play-- come into 24:29 play over here now? 24:30 Do you make all the juices 24:32 for them when you see 24:33 your clients? 24:34 How does that work? 24:35 >> Yeah, so that the beauty of 24:36 our program, because it's 24:37 worldwide, not everybody can 24:38 come to Scarborough to get 24:39 their juices, and maybe you 24:41 can't afford the juices so 24:43 what we do is we offer the 24:45 juices, cold press, organic 24:47 from our store and if you 24:48 can't get them from us, we 24:50 give you recipes so you can 24:51 make them yourself. 24:52 We give as much free 24:54 information as possible 24:55 because we really believe this 24:57 is a ministry, but if you can 24:59 afford it and you're able to 25:01 invest in yourself, we can 25:03 help you with every aspect of 25:04 the program. 25:06 We like people start with a 25:07 detox of just fasting on juice 25:09 only, but some people can't 25:10 because of their medication 25:11 and so they just add the 25:13 juices into their morning or 25:15 in the evening instead of 25:15 their dinner. 25:16 >> Well, Carolyn, 25:17 thank you so much. 25:19 That was so encouraging and so 25:22 inspirational and so we are so 25:25 glad that you were joining us 25:26 here today again and you know 25:28 what, you have to come back. 25:30 >> I would love to! 25:31 [René] We need you to be back 25:32 again on our program. 25:34 So before we end, can I ask 25:36 you to pray for us please? 25:37 >> I would love that 25:38 privilege, let's pray. 25:39 Father, thank You so much for 25:40 these inspiring stories. 25:42 Thank You that You are still 25:44 in the healing business and 25:46 that Your food is 25:47 truly medicine. 25:49 And I just pray that you would 25:50 inspire each of us to just get 25:52 back to eating the way we were 25:53 designed so our bodies would 25:55 naturally do what it's 25:56 designed to do: heal itself. 25:59 So I pray, Father, that You'd 26:00 be with every viewer 26:02 listening, watching, that they 26:03 would truly be inspired to 26:05 make a change, put You first 26:07 and let their body, Your 26:09 temple, be a holier place. 26:11 In Jesus' name, amen. 26:13 [Mike & René] Amen, amen. 26:14 >> Thank you, Carolyn, again 26:15 for joining us. 26:15 >> Thank you! 26:16 Thanks for having me. 26:17 >> Yeah, and we're looking 26:18 forward to being with you 26:18 again next week. 26:19 >> Yay! I get to come back one 26:21 more time, more stories! 26:23 >> All the enthusiasm. 26:24 We really, really are 26:26 inspired by your-- 26:28 >> Praise the Lord. 26:29 >> Yes, thank you. 26:34 >> Friends, you might have a 26:35 lot more questions about what 26:37 it means to eat plant-based 26:39 nutrition and why you should 26:41 become a vegetarian. 26:43 So we have a free offer that 26:45 you can call us and receive 26:47 right away. 26:48 Our free offer for you is, 26:50 Why Be a Vegetarian? 26:53 So here is the information 26:55 you will need to receive 26:56 today's free offer. 26:59 Here are the details to 27:00 receive a free consultation 27:02 from Carolyn at the 27:04 Energy Shack. 27:05 Go to the website and 27:07 click on "consultation." 27:09 Use the coupon code 27:11 "ITISWRITTEN" without spaces 27:13 between the words. 27:15 [Mike] Also, before you go, we 27:16 wish to pray for you. 27:17 If you would like to send us 27:19 your personal prayer requests, 27:21 the information for how to 27:22 contact us is on the screen. 27:24 Tell us your request and we 27:26 will put you on our personal 27:27 prayer list. 27:29 We would also like to invite 27:31 you to follow us on Instagram 27:33 and Facebook and subscribe to 27:35 our YouTube channel and also 27:37 listen to our Podcasts. 27:39 And if you go to our website, 27:41 you can see our latest 27:42 programs including our 27:44 exercise workouts called 27:46 Experiencing Life and our 27:48 short spiritual messages 27:49 entitled, Daily Living. 27:52 [Mike] They're all there for 27:53 you, free to watch whenever 27:55 you choose because we want you 27:58 to get to know the Lord as 27:59 your personal friend and 28:00 Saviour through reading the 28:01 Bible so that you can 28:03 experience the truth that is 28:05 found in the words of Jesus 28:06 when He said, 28:07 "It is written, man shall not" 28:10 "live by bread alone, but by" 28:11 "every word that proceeds out" 28:13 "of the mouth of God." 28:16 ♪♪ |
