00:16 >>Welcome to "Sabbath School," 00:18 brought to you by It Is Written. 00:20 We are studying the book of Ephesians this quarter, 00:23 and this week it's lesson number three, 00:25 "The Power of the Exalted Jesus." 00:28 We're glad that you could be with us again 00:30 as we continue our journey through this incredible book. 00:33 Let's begin today with prayer. 00:36 Father, we're grateful 00:37 to be able to gather together with You 00:40 as Paul helps us to understand You better and Your love 00:45 for each and every one of us. 00:46 We ask that You'll bless our time together this week, 00:49 and we thank You in Jesus' name, amen. 00:52 Well, we're blessed once again this week 00:54 to have the author of the Sabbath school lesson, 00:56 and that is Dr. John McVay. 00:57 He is the president of Walla Walla University. 01:00 John, thanks for coming back again. 01:02 >>It is good to be back, 01:03 and it's good to be back together in Ephesians. 01:06 >>That's right. And this is setting itself up 01:09 to be an incredible book. 01:11 I mean, it's always been incredible, 01:12 but we're starting to see some things here 01:14 that maybe many people have never seen before. 01:18 >>This is theologically rich, which is a way of saying 01:22 it talks a lot about what God does for us through Jesus. 01:27 And it's important to read it, 01:31 but it's also very, very rewarding to realize 01:34 just how much God loves us 01:36 and how He has expressed that through Jesus. 01:39 >>A relatively short book could be easily skipped through, 01:43 but we're not doing that. 01:45 We're taking 14 weeks to just to pull it apart, bit by bit, 01:49 and find those hidden gems. 01:52 Now, as we've looked at in the first couple of weeks, 01:53 we've seen that Paul writes this book 01:56 to the Christians in Ephesus, 01:58 and they're going through some challenging times. 02:01 Things have been good. 02:02 Now they're kind of more at an ebb than they were. 02:06 >>Sure. 02:08 >>And Paul is trying to help us in lesson number three, 02:11 help us or help them understand the power of Jesus. 02:15 >>Yes. 02:15 >>Help us through this. 02:18 >>Paul doesn't say a lot in Ephesians 02:20 about local conditions and circumstances, 02:22 so he doesn't talk about them being persecuted and so on, 02:26 but we do have that hint that we have looked at, 02:28 at the end of chapter three, 02:30 that he's afraid they're gonna lose heart 02:32 and lose some of the crispness of their grasp 02:36 on the power and grace of God and of Christ. 02:38 And so he's reminding them of their privileges as Christians 02:42 and especially how important and wondrous it is 02:45 that they are part of something called the church, 02:49 and God's activity in and through the church. 02:53 >>This week we're looking at chapter one, 02:54 and specifically verses 15 through 23. 02:59 When the Christian believers are going through 03:02 these challenging times, these difficult times, 03:04 this--perhaps this, 03:08 well, questioning, 03:10 as it were-- >>Mm hmm. 03:11 >>...what kind of hope does he give 'em? 03:13 What does he give them as encouragement? 03:16 >>Well, you know, Paul isn't real subtle here, is he? 03:19 He's just gonna open the cosmos of grace, 03:26 God's glorious universe, universe of grace to them. 03:28 He's gonna give them the full load of everything. 03:32 Time passed, 03:33 his sense of all of this marches down through time, 03:37 buried in the eons of, before the foundation of the world, 03:40 and then the more recent times 03:43 with the creation of the church 03:45 made up of Jews and Gentiles 03:47 through the grace of God expressed in Jesus. 03:50 So he is gonna move them on through this. 03:52 It's a wonderful passage. 03:54 >>And we look at this and it's kind of, 03:56 we've got a little bit of a prayer report going on in here. 03:59 >>Yes. It's another prayer report. 04:01 He starts in verses 15 through-- 04:03 and the first part of 16 with a thanksgiving, 04:07 "I thank God for you." 04:09 That's a frequent element. 04:11 But then he moves in the last half of verse 16, 04:15 on through the end of the passage, verse 23, 04:18 is a prayer report. 04:19 He's telling them how he's praying for them. 04:23 >>And you mentioned 04:25 that he is trying to inspire and encourage them. 04:29 What are some of the realities 04:32 that he wants them to grasp, to know, to understand? 04:36 >>Well, living in Ephesus, as they do, 04:39 which was, as most places 04:42 would've been in the ancient world, 04:43 most cities, certainly, a place that's really interested 04:48 in magic and in worship 04:52 of a whole variety of deities. 04:54 And the reason their fellow citizens 04:56 would've been interested in worshiping the various deities 05:00 is to try to make some difference 05:03 in the doomed existence that was fated for them, 05:07 because of the conjunction of planets and stars 05:10 at the time of their birth. 05:11 So Paul is going to react to that here 05:14 in quite a natural way. 05:17 If they're drawn toward these powers, little "p," 05:20 he wants them to be 05:22 drawn to the great Power, capital "P," to God 05:26 and the power of God expressed in Jesus for us as believers. 05:32 >>How does he help them to see that reality, 05:34 that grander scope of things? 05:38 >>Well, he's gonna do that through the prayer report. 05:40 So he must have figured, 05:42 "Hey, listen, I need these people to understand 05:45 "ultimate reality. 05:47 "I need them to understand 05:48 "what's going on at the heart of the cosmos, 05:50 "at the throne of God. 05:51 "I especially need them to understand 05:53 "the exaltation of Jesus. 05:56 "And the best way to do that 05:57 is tell them how I pray for them every day." 06:00 And so he gives us a prayer report 06:02 of what he prays for them, 06:04 and he moves through these grand blessings 06:07 of Christian faith and life 06:09 that he asks be present in the lives of Christian believers 06:13 there in Ephesus. 06:14 >>And there're really three areas 06:16 that he wants them to know and understand. 06:20 What are those three areas? 06:21 >>Well, he lists them here starting in verse 18. 06:26 And again, we're breaking into one of these long sentences, 06:29 these tapeworm sentences that Paul writes in Ephesians, 06:32 and some other places, like Romans, chapter 8, 06:35 "Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, 06:38 that you may know" 06:41 >> -first prayer request here-- 06:44 "that you may know 06:46 what is the hope to which He has called you." 06:48 So, number one, he wants the hope 06:51 to which they have been called 06:52 to be planted deep in their hearts. 06:54 Now, what do you think he means by that, Eric? 06:56 >>They've got something--God has a plan for them, 06:58 something that He wants them 07:00 to know, to understand, to experience, to live, 07:03 that maybe they're not grasping. 07:06 >>Yeah, I think this is referring to the Christian hope 07:10 that they came to understand 07:12 at the moment of their conversion 07:14 that's at the heart of their Christian experience. 07:17 And Paul will kind of tell and retell 07:19 their conversion experience as we move through Ephesians 07:23 and this would be probably an illusion to that. 07:27 They accepted Christ as Savior, and in that moment 07:31 they received the call of hope, right? 07:35 They had the promise of eternal life, 07:37 and in accepting Christ, they gained hope, 07:42 real, genuine hope. 07:44 And perhaps that has been slipping a bit. 07:47 And Paul is praying that that hope 07:50 would enliven their Christian experience, 07:52 would warm their hearts, would be central to who they are. 07:57 >>So that's the first. >>That's the first one. 07:58 >>That's the first one. >>That's the first one. 08:00 >>What's the next one? >>The second one is, 08:01 "The riches of [the glory of God's] inheritance 08:05 in the saints." 08:06 Now, Paul can also talk in this letter 08:09 about the inheritance that we receive, 08:12 at the Second Coming, of eternal life and so on. 08:16 But in a couple of places, 08:17 he talks about God's inheritance in the saints. 08:24 That's kind of an interesting way 08:25 to think about that relationship, isn't it? 08:26 We're valued by God, so much so, 08:29 that Paul can refer to us, to believers, 08:32 as God's inheritance, 08:35 the thing He is looking toward owning fully and completely. 08:39 He wants us, He's after us, 08:42 and He loves us and He values us. 08:44 We are God's inheritance. 08:46 And so Paul prays in that line. 08:49 He wants them to understand 08:50 the riches of the glory of God's inheritance in the saints. 08:54 Another way, I think, 08:56 a fancy, kind of involve of a flowery way of saying 09:00 "I want you to know God loves you." 09:02 >>And he does it beautifully, 09:03 he makes that very, very plain. 09:05 So, what's the third one? 09:06 >>The third one is going to take up 09:09 most of Paul's attention here in this passage. 09:12 So, he starts off the third prayer request, 09:15 "I want you to know, 09:17 "I want the Spirit to plant in your heart, 09:20 "the exceeding greatness of God's power 09:23 "exercised on behalf of believers. 09:25 "I want you to know just how much power 09:29 "God is willing to share with you in your life. 09:32 I want you to know that." 09:34 >>So there is power for believers. 09:37 And sometimes believers today, I say believers, 09:41 maybe with a lower case "b"-- >>Sure. 09:43 >>...because their belief is this much, "Yes, I believe." 09:45 >>Right. 09:47 >>It's an assent to, but not necessarily 09:49 an all-encompassing, all-enveloping belief. 09:53 Paul's trying to help us understand here 09:54 that there's more, there's a whole lot more 09:58 if we're willing to understand it. 10:02 And Paul goes into some reasons 10:06 why we can believe these things, 10:09 salvation history events-- 10:11 >>Yes. >>...if we might 10:12 call them that. 10:13 >>So, he's not satisfied with simply saying, 10:15 "God's got a lot of power 10:17 and He's going to share it with you." 10:18 He's going to now give us some benchmarks 10:22 for the kind of power, 10:25 the scope of the power God wishes to share with believers, 10:29 and I think also rather importantly, 10:31 the source of that power. 10:33 So he sees the power 10:35 that God is willing to share in our lives. 10:39 He sees it mirrored and rooted 10:42 in four grand salvation history events, 10:48 and it's important for us to think about those. 10:50 >>So these four great salvation history events, 10:54 we're gonna take a break in just a moment, 10:55 we may not be able to delve deeply into each of them, 10:58 but let's highlight them very quickly. 11:00 >>Okay, let's hit each of them. 11:02 >>Let's hit each one of them quickly 11:03 and then we're gonna come back and unpack them. 11:04 >>So number one, first part of verse 20, 11:07 God raised Jesus from the dead. 11:10 You want to know how much power is available to you? 11:13 Look at the resurrection of Jesus. 11:14 Number two, "He seated Him at His right hand," 11:18 verses 20 and 21. 11:20 "He [God] put all things under His feet," the feet of Jesus, 11:25 verse 22a. 11:27 And finally, fourth grand salvation history event, 11:30 "[God] gave Him as head of all things to the church," 11:37 verses 22 and 23. 11:39 >>So four things that we can bank on 11:42 as it were-- >>Yes. 11:43 >>...that show us just exactly how much power God has. 11:47 >>And a couple of these we're kind of used to: 11:51 the resurrection of Jesus, 11:52 and the exaltation of Jesus at the throne of God's seating, 11:56 sitting Him--seating Him at His right hand. 11:59 The other two are a little fresher to us, 12:01 a little newer to us 12:03 and we should look at those. 12:04 >>Yeah, we're gonna dig into those. 12:06 But before we take a quick break, 12:08 I want to encourage you and remind you 12:11 that if you are enjoying 12:13 this study of the book of Ephesians, 12:15 there's actually more that you can be getting out of it. 12:19 We're glad that you're enjoying the weekly study, 12:21 we're glad that you're enjoying this program, 12:23 but if you really want to dig into 12:25 the book of Ephesians more deeply, 12:28 make sure that you pick up the companion book 12:30 to this quarter's Sabbath school lesson. 12:32 It is called "Ephesians" by Dr. John McVay. 12:36 And you can find this book at itiswritten.shop. 12:40 Again, that's at itiswritten.shop. 12:43 Simply look for the book "Ephesians." 12:45 It is the companion book 12:46 to this quarter's Sabbath school lesson, 12:48 and it delves into much deeper detail 12:51 on many of these subjects, in fact, 12:54 more than what we are able to cover in the weekly study. 12:58 A fantastic addition, 13:00 if you enjoy teaching Sabbath school, 13:02 if you want to contribute 13:04 some deeper, more profound, as it were, thoughts, insights 13:09 in your Sabbath school class, 13:11 or if you simply want to understand 13:12 the book of Ephesians better 13:14 so that Christ can sit 13:16 more powerfully on the throne of your heart, 13:19 you want to pick up this companion book, 13:21 again, called "Ephesians." 13:22 And it is found at itiswritten.shop. 13:25 We're going to come back in just a moment 13:26 as we continue looking at these elements, 13:29 these events in salvation history, 13:32 and why Paul spends so much time talking about them. 13:36 We'll be right back. 13:37 (uplifting music) 13:43 >>Planning for your financial future 13:45 is a vital aspect of Christian stewardship. 13:49 For this reason, It Is Written is pleased 13:51 to offer free planned giving and estate services. 13:54 For information on how we can help you, 13:57 please call (800) 992-2219. 14:01 Call today, or visit our website, HisLegacy.com. 14:06 Call (800) 992-2219. 14:11 >>More and more people 14:12 are watching It Is Written TV. 14:15 They're watching their favorite It Is Written programs, 14:18 listening to inspiring sermon series, 14:21 and much more. 14:23 They're watching them here, here, and even here. 14:27 See for yourself why people 14:28 are turning to It Is Written TV 14:30 to watch their favorite Christian programs 14:32 live and on demand. 14:34 Watch It Is Written TV for free anytime on Roku, Apple TV, 14:39 and at itiswritten.tv. 14:41 (uplifting music) 14:46 >>Welcome back to "Sabbath School," 14:47 brought to you by It Is Written. 14:49 We're continuing our study of lesson number three here. 14:53 And John, you made mention just before we went to break 14:56 of these four events in salvation history. 14:59 But we don't want to just gloss over these and move on, 15:02 because Paul certainly doesn't do that. 15:04 >>No, we don't. 15:05 We need to dwell on these prayer lists. 15:09 We need to learn about what it's like 15:10 to actually pray in the way Paul does, 15:15 so let me pause there for just a moment. 15:17 Let's talk about prayer life à la Paul, 15:20 praying like Paul. 15:22 Notice, that he's thanking God for the believers, right? 15:26 You know, some of the prayer services that I've been part of 15:30 can get a little down in the mouth, 15:33 "Dear Lord, You know all the trouble and trauma 15:36 "that Sister Smith is experiencing. 15:37 You know that she's lost this and that and the other." 15:41 By the time you get through 15:43 with that long litany of trouble and woe, 15:45 you kind of end the prayer with something like, 15:47 "If there's any chance, please bless her, amen." 15:50 Paul really sees thanksgiving 15:53 as the key to prayer life. 15:56 So instead of praying for Sister Smith that way, 15:59 we pray in the key of praise and thanksgiving. 16:04 "Dear Lord, thank You for being, today, 16:09 "active in the experience of Mrs. Smith. 16:13 "Thank You for blessing her with power to meet every need, 16:18 and she has many, to meet the needs of her life." 16:21 So instead of a down at the mouth kind of prayer, 16:25 it's a prayer in the key of thanksgiving and praise 16:28 where we're thanking God 16:31 for what He is doing and what He will do 16:33 in the lives of the people we're praying for. 16:35 So if we were to model our prayer life on Paul, 16:38 that's maybe the way we would pray, 16:39 and I've tried it. 16:41 I've put it into practice and I find it to be 16:43 a very enriching, hope-filled, 16:47 hope-generating way of praying. 16:50 >>Yeah, as we look at Paul's example and others, 16:52 there is a great deal of thanksgiving 16:54 that they-- >>Exactly. 16:55 >>...incorporate into prayers. 16:58 And you're right, 16:59 sometimes not every prayer meeting 17:04 that we attend 17:06 dwells on that-- >>Yes. 17:07 >>...very long. 17:08 I think we missed something. >>So let's dwell 17:09 a little less on the problems. 17:10 Let's dwell more on the power of God 17:12 that can be, and will be, by His grace 17:15 expressed in the lives of His saints. 17:17 But moving back now to the prayer list, 17:20 and we will see this again in chapter three, 17:23 another prayer report, 17:25 I find it wonderful to kind of listen in. 17:28 There's a certain intimacy about listening 17:31 as Paul prays for these people 17:33 that he loves and that he has heard about. 17:36 Sometimes, he doesn't necessarily know all of them, 17:38 but he's praying for them. 17:41 And his big prayer request is for the presence-- 17:43 the fresh presence of the Spirit in their lives, right? 17:46 That's the biggie. 17:48 And then he's hoping that the-- 17:49 and he's praying that the Spirit 17:52 will reinforce their hope, 17:55 reinforce God's love for them, and especially 18:00 that the Spirit will give them a fresh understanding 18:02 of how much power and what kind of power 18:06 is available to them, 18:08 and where that power comes from, where it's rooted. 18:10 And it's rooted 18:12 in these four grand salvation history events: 18:15 the resurrection of Jesus, the exaltation of Jesus, 18:20 putting all things under the feet of Jesus, 18:22 and the giving of Jesus as head of all things 18:28 to His church. 18:29 So those four events and understanding those four 18:32 become important to Paul. 18:34 >>And in these last verses in chapter one, 18:37 verses 20 through 23, 18:39 you see in these four salvation events, 18:43 resurrection, exaltation, 18:45 you also see the coronation of Jesus here. 18:48 How does that all fit in? 18:50 >>Well, it's kind of interesting, 18:51 not so long ago we watched 18:54 the coronation of Charles III of the United Kingdom, right? 19:00 In watching that, 19:02 there's a real sequence to a coronation, isn't there? 19:04 I mean, talk about the pageantry, and every little thing 19:08 has to happen at just the right moment. 19:10 And there's a kind of sequence going on here 19:13 in Paul's portrait of the exaltation of Jesus 19:17 in chapter one, verses, oh, 20 through 23, right? 19:23 So it begins, as we've noted, with a resurrection. 19:26 Now that's a strange coronation, isn't it? 19:29 It starts not with the birth of a king, 19:32 but in a sense with the death of a king, 19:34 and the resurrection of this King Jesus from His death. 19:39 So Jesus, who's now about to be crowned king of the cosmos, 19:43 has died, and the sequence of His exaltation 19:46 begins with His resurrection from death. Hallelujah. 19:51 Then comes the enthronement, let's call it, 19:55 because He is now--He's exalted, He ascends to heaven, 20:00 and He is seated at the right hand of the Father. 20:04 "The Father...seated Him at His right hand 20:07 in the heavenly places." 20:09 And this new position of the enthroned Jesus 20:13 places Him not just above, 20:16 but far above every power, 20:20 real or imagined, in time and eternity, correct? 20:24 >>Yes. 20:25 >>Wonderful description. 20:27 So Christ is placed 20:28 "Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, 20:34 "and above every name that is named, 20:36 not only in this age but also in the one to come." 20:39 Remember, Ephesus is a place where a lot of names get named. 20:43 Remember back when in week one 20:46 we were studying the backstory of Ephesians 20:48 and we were studying those-- 20:50 about those seven itinerant Jewish exorcists, 20:53 who put their abracadabra together, 20:57 they write in the names of Jesus and Paul. 20:59 This is a place that knows about naming names. 21:03 And Paul wants to make sure that believers know 21:08 that every name that is named, 21:10 not only in this age, but in the one to come, 21:13 all of those powers, real and imagined, 21:16 are put under the lordship of Jesus. 21:19 He is far above them all. Hallelujah. 21:23 >>So a beautiful picture of this rising to power, 21:30 at least in our minds, of who Christ is. 21:31 And it's interesting, in verse 22, it says, 21:33 "And He put all things under His feet, 21:35 and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church." 21:39 So it just exalts Him higher and higher-- 21:42 >>Exactly. >>...above anything 21:44 and everything that there is. 21:46 >>But then we come back to those next two events, 21:48 which are a little less-- >>Right. 21:50 >>...familiar to us. 21:52 And I think it helps to kind of parallel them 21:54 with what we saw going on in the Charles III coronation 21:59 because as I watched those events, 22:01 I'm a bit of an Anglophile, so I probably spent 22:03 a little more time watching it than I maybe should have, 22:06 but you might remember that in the case of King Charles, 22:11 his domain is subjugated to him, if you will, 22:15 by a variety of elements of the coronation ceremony. 22:19 In his case, the domain is fairly constrained. 22:23 The UK and the Commonwealth countries, right, 22:25 are put beneath his power and authority. 22:29 In the case of King Jesus, the scope of His domain, 22:35 the scope of His authority, is boundless. 22:37 It encompasses all things. 22:39 "And He"--God the Father-- 22:42 "put all things under His feet," 22:45 under the feet of Jesus, 22:47 boundless scope of His dominion. 22:49 So we would call that-- 22:50 I would call that the "act of subjugation." 22:53 So that's the third element we've talked about, 22:55 "He put all things under His feet." 22:57 There's nothing outside of His authority, 23:01 it's all in, everything owes its allegiance 23:04 and its worship and honor to King Jesus. 23:08 >>And we've got one more left, a fourth one. 23:10 >>One more. The fourth one would be the presentation. 23:13 So again, harking back to Charles and Buckingham Palace 23:18 and all of that, 23:20 you'll remember that after Charles was crowned, 23:22 he was driven back to Buckingham Palace 23:25 in a gold-encrusted carriage. 23:29 What a vehicle that is, right? 23:32 And he appeared on the palace balcony to great acclaim. 23:38 And he and his family members and his entourage 23:40 appear on the balcony and received the acclaim 23:43 of huge throng of citizens gathered out there. 23:48 And we might call that "the presentation." 23:51 So the subjugation, in the case of Christ, 23:54 would be all things being put under His authority. 23:58 And the presentation 23:59 would be that He is now given to the church. 24:03 There's a little nuance here that we should notice. 24:05 It's not that He is-- 24:09 let's see, how does it put it? 24:11 Let me make sure I get it right. 24:13 "He put all things under His feet 24:15 and gave Him as head over all things to the church." 24:18 So He first becomes the head of all things, 24:21 and then as head of all things, He is given to the church. 24:26 So we see these four wonderful, amazing things: 24:29 the resurrection of Jesus, His enthronement, 24:32 seated at His right hand, 24:34 the subjugation with all things put under His feet, 24:38 and finally, we see this presentation 24:42 where He is now given, as head of everything, 24:44 He's given, presented to, if you will, the church. 24:48 >>So Paul walks us 24:49 through all these different steps, as it were. 24:53 He's also kind of referencing back 24:57 to Psalms a little bit in this. 25:00 How do we see Psalms working into what we're seeing here? 25:04 >>Yeah, so Paul 25:05 is not inventing these four scenes in his mind, 25:09 he's just doing Bible study, 25:10 he's just reflecting Christian convictions 25:14 about what the Old Test-- 25:15 what we call the Old Testament says, 25:17 and particularly the Psalms. 25:19 So in Psalm 110, the first three verses there, 25:22 "The Lord says to my Lord: 'Sit at my right hand, 25:26 until I make your enemies your footstool.'" 25:30 Well, clearly Paul is reading that passage here 25:32 to say this is about what's happened 25:35 at the throne of God that we cannot see, 25:38 but it is revealed to us in Scripture, 25:40 that God the Father, 25:42 enthrones Jesus in heaven. 25:46 So he sees a prediction 25:48 of the exaltation/coronation of Jesus. 25:52 "Rule in the midst of your enemies," 25:55 continuing on with that passage. 25:57 And then Psalm 8, verses 3 to 8, 26:00 "When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, 26:02 "...and the stars, which You...set in place, 26:04 "what is man that You are mindful of him, 26:07 "and the son of man that You care for him? 26:09 "...You have made him a little lower than [the angels] 26:12 "[and] the heavenly beings... 26:13 "[You've] crowned him with glory and honor. 26:16 "You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands; 26:19 You have put all things under his feet." 26:21 Now you notice, we often read that passage 26:23 about human beings, 26:25 but it mentions the son of man, right? 26:27 Which is a title for Jesus. 26:30 So Paul clearly reads that passage to say, 26:32 "See, in Psalm 8, it is a prophecy, that God the Father, 26:37 would put all things under the feet of Jesus." 26:40 >>So Paul walks us through, 26:42 in a relatively speaking few verses, 26:46 just an opportunity for us to see how powerful God is-- 26:52 >>Amen. >>...and how he wants God 26:54 to have that-- 26:55 his desire, God's desire also, 26:56 is to have that kind of power in our lives, 26:59 so that we can do--we can be who Christ wants us to be. 27:03 We can do the things that Christ desires us to do, 27:07 and that includes you, as well. 27:09 God wants you to understand that He has power, 27:13 power to give you hope, power to give you a future, 27:17 power to use you to share His love with others. 27:22 And as we continue 27:23 looking at the book of Ephesians week by week, 27:26 our hope and prayer 27:27 is that you're going to see that power, 27:30 not just see it, but experience it in your own life, 27:34 so that you can be an epistle, as it were, 27:39 from God to others. 27:41 God bless you. Have a wonderful week. 27:43 We look forward to seeing you again next week 27:45 as we continue our study in the book of Ephesians, 27:48 here on "Sabbath School," brought to you by It Is Written. 27:52 (uplifting music) 28:26 (music ends) |
