00:21 Hello and welcome to Jesus for Asia Now.
00:24 I'm Natalie Wood, and I have my husband Jon 00:26 here with me on the show. 00:27 Hi, darling. Hello, love. 00:28 Good to see you. 00:29 You know, over half of the world lives in Asia? 00:33 Yup. 00:34 And there are a lot of people over there 00:36 that don't know Jesus. 00:37 Yes. 00:38 So today, we want to talk about a very special project. 00:41 Yes. 00:42 With a special missionary family 00:44 that God is using in mighty ways, 00:46 even though they're just ordinary people. 00:49 And that project is GoBeDo Missions. 00:51 Yup. 00:52 And we're talking about Mike and Michelle Cordes. 00:54 Yes. 00:55 This is a picture of Mike and Michelle. 00:57 Yeah, and they're working in the Philippines, 00:59 in the South Philippines. 01:00 Now in Asia, the Adventist church's 01:03 highest concentration of membership 01:05 is in the Philippines. 01:06 There's like 7,000 islands, 01:08 and there's still some pockets of people 01:10 that have not had any access to the Gospel 01:13 and that no one's actually yet entering in. 01:17 And this family is working among one of those groups. 01:20 So we met Mike and Michelle 01:22 because Mike went to the same church 01:24 as we went to. 01:25 In Idaho. Yeah, in Idaho. 01:27 And then he came to Faith Camp 2008. 01:31 Before they were married. Right. 01:33 And at Faith Camp 2008, 01:35 the theme there was "claim your inheritance." 01:38 Claim your inheritance. That's right. 01:40 And of course inheritance is coming from Isaiah 54:3 01:44 where it says, "...thy seed shall inherit the gentiles." 01:46 Right. So the people. The people, yes. 01:49 So we think of our inheritance 01:51 as the physical inheritance to heaven, 01:53 but God left, Jesus left the physical part 01:56 to come and claim 01:57 what he considered the true riches, 02:00 which is people. 02:01 And so the two things happen, though, 02:03 is when we claim our inheritance, 02:05 when we take the Gospel to the world, 02:07 then the end shall come. 02:11 So Mike and Michelle actually met on the internet 02:13 on an Adventist, kind of, a singles area, 02:17 and they got to know each other and ended up getting married. 02:21 And then they went back to the Philippines 02:23 to work together. 02:24 Yeah. She was from the Philippines. 02:25 Which is what GoDoBe Mission says, right? 02:27 Right. She's from the Philippines. 02:28 When he was going over to date her 02:30 to get to know her a little bit, 02:31 he fell in love with the people up in the mountains, 02:34 just had such a heart for them getting access to the Gospel. 02:39 And such a growth process in his life. 02:41 He saw that this is something he really wanted to do 02:44 for the rest of his life. 02:46 And GoBeDo, what does that mean? 02:48 It's like one word, we say it as one word, 02:50 but it's actually three words. 02:52 "Go," obviously is Christ calls us to go, 02:56 and "Be" isn't just preach the Gospel, 02:59 but be the Gospel. 03:01 You know, you may be the only Christian 03:02 that person sees, 03:03 you maybe the only Christ someone ever sees. 03:06 And then "Do" is be the hands and feet of Jesus. 03:09 Doing. Do the work. 03:11 And so, yeah, the going, the being, and the doing, 03:13 Christ in and through 03:15 everything in all phases of that. 03:17 That's a neat name. That's a really cool name. 03:19 That's very practical, very, you know, it's the call. 03:22 Right, right, their mission statement, 03:24 all in one word. 03:25 Yes. Okay. 03:26 So this is a picture of their family 03:28 up in the mountains. 03:29 They have two girls and a boy. Yeah. 03:31 And they have a motorcycle. 03:34 And that, we've got some video of that. 03:35 So we do have a lot of pictures and video to go through. 03:38 So we got to keep moving. We got to keep moving. 03:40 Yeah. Okay, this is a picture... 03:42 Of the mountainous areas 03:43 that they live in, they work in. 03:45 This isn't exactly where they live, 03:47 but you can see the beautiful mountains. 03:48 It's very lush jungle with big steep mountains 03:52 and a lot of challenging terrain 03:54 that would be really exciting for somebody 03:56 that likes off-roading, like me. 03:58 Right. 03:59 And the next thing we have is a video from Mike 04:00 talking about where they work. 04:02 Okay. 04:03 So let's go ahead and play that now. 04:04 Awesome. 04:05 The area that we're working in is mountainous. 04:07 It's the... 04:09 I would say, it would be areas that would be considered 04:13 3,500 feet and above in the mountains of Mindanao, 04:18 mostly in provinces of Agusan and Bukidnon, 04:23 and Misamis Oriental. 04:25 And in these mountains, civil war has been raging 04:29 for about 50 years 04:30 between communist rebel insurgents 04:33 and the government. 04:34 But in the mountains, 04:36 there's also many Bandido groups, 04:38 that are lawless, criminal type people. 04:43 And then the tribal people 04:45 that are caught in the middle of all this, 04:47 and they became our mission, the tribal people. 04:52 They have been much prejudiced against them in the years. 04:57 The costal people have always regarded them as lazy, 05:01 and dirty, and poor, and uneducated, 05:04 and they're all of the above. 05:07 And but I'm certain that God came 05:11 and died for them too. 05:14 Wow. 05:15 God came and died for them too. 05:17 The least of these, you know, all those things, 05:20 not attractive kind of people to the visual eye, 05:24 to the human eye 05:26 but Christ assigns a value to each one of those as well. 05:29 Yeah, what a lesson for us too? Yeah. 05:31 The least of these My brethren. 05:33 Right. Yeah, right. 05:35 So this is a picture of the House 05:37 that they've built at their mission post. 05:39 And here's the house under construction. 05:42 What's interesting is you can see 05:44 over the top of the wall, 05:45 the roof there, the roof comes down, 05:47 there's a little gap 05:48 between the top of the wall and the roof. 05:49 Yeah. 05:50 They were given money to finish that off 05:53 and to seal that, 05:54 but there was a greater need in their mission work. 05:56 Somebody needed it more. 05:58 And so even today, even though the house is mostly finished, 06:01 there's still that gap there, 06:03 and the wind comes howling up over that gap 06:05 and they didn't have enough money to put cement 06:08 down inside the bricks, 06:10 so it actually makes a howling noise 06:12 as the wind comes. 06:13 It must be very cold and, you know, cold sound, 06:17 and kind of haunting or eerie sound, 06:19 having the wind, you know, 06:20 make the whistling noise through that. 06:23 And so what's one of my prayers is that 06:25 we can somehow help them get that. 06:27 Finish the house. Yeah. 06:29 And here's the kitchen while it's under construction. 06:32 They have shared with us 06:33 that their weather is a little bit challenging 06:35 because their weather temperature ranges 06:39 from 50 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. 06:40 Yes. 06:41 Sometimes as high as 85, but it's 98 percent humidity 06:46 and it rains all the time. 06:48 So they have a very hard time with clothes drying. 06:50 Yeah. 06:51 And you actually asked him, "Would you like a dryer?" 06:54 And he says, "Well, if we can get one with an inverter 06:56 and get it up into the mountains." 06:58 They do have power up there now, 07:00 but they would have to have an inverter 07:01 or regulator of some kind, 'cause the power fluctuates. 07:04 I think he'd really like a washing machine. 07:06 Yeah. 07:07 I think they need both, because he said that 07:10 sometimes the clothes will take a week to dry. 07:12 Yes. 07:13 Because they hang them out to dry, 07:15 they try to hang them under the roof 07:17 so that they can dry, 07:19 but then the rain comes in that way. 07:21 And then... so they're not drying, 07:23 so they move them to a different place. 07:25 So they're moving the clothes around 07:26 trying to get them to dry 07:27 and some of them have taken up to a week to actually dry. 07:30 Yeah. 07:31 And so it's a challenge and that takes a lot of time 07:33 moving all the clothes on a clothesline, 07:36 around and round underneath. 07:38 If they can at least get a washing machine, 07:39 then it has a spin cycle and it spins it out, 07:42 and they dry much faster. 07:43 'Cause right now 07:44 they're doing everything by hand. 07:46 So it takes a lot of time out of their daily schedule 07:48 and then you don't get it as much water out, 07:51 so it takes longer to dry. 07:52 Right. 07:53 So starting with washing machine 07:55 would be wonderful. 07:56 Now comparing that house 07:59 to the house that they left in America to go to... 08:02 This is the house that they were at. 08:04 It was on 45 acres, they were renting this house 08:08 from a former missionary family. 08:10 And it has an amazing view out the front window. 08:13 You could see for miles, and it's a beautiful place. 08:16 And they left this place to go and work among the unreached. 08:20 Right. So. 08:21 But God is rewarding them. 08:23 He's got some stories a little bit later, 08:25 but first, let's keep going. 08:27 We have a little video of your favorite plants. 08:30 My favorite plant. 08:32 I love this plant, it scared me the first time I saw it 08:34 because I was walking through the grass. 08:36 And I saw some movement behind me. 08:37 I'm like, "Whoa! Is it a snake?" 08:39 But check out what it does. 08:41 They named this flower is touch me not. 08:46 Touch me not. Yeah. 08:47 That is so cool. 08:55 I love those plants. 08:56 If you touch the flower, it closes its leaves. 09:01 Isn't that cool? It is. 09:03 It's a fun plant. I love that plant. 09:04 I love to touch it every time I see it. 09:05 And it's fun that it opens back up again, 09:07 and then you can do it all over again. 09:09 Yeah, and I did it so much on one trip, 09:12 one of our friends said, 09:13 "Jon, stop teasing the plants." 09:17 You're always teasing something. 09:20 So the next shot we have is of some kids playing 09:25 and their life is very simple there. 09:27 So here they have... 09:28 I don't know if it's cardboard or pieces of metal or wood, 09:31 what they have, but here are some kids playing. 09:33 Yup. 09:37 Looks like fun. 09:42 Yeah, I might go join them. Yup. 09:46 So it's not all fun though. 09:47 Yeah. They've had some serious times. 09:49 And this next video is of Mike talking about 09:52 when they were taken hostage. 09:54 Couple of years ago, we were taken hostage 09:56 by communist rebels. 09:58 And we were coming down the road, 10:01 and there were Philippine Army soldiers on the road 10:04 or what we thought were Philippine Army soldiers, 10:06 they were wearing 10:08 the official uniform of the Philippine Army 10:10 with M16s in their hands 10:12 and .45 ACP pistols on their sides. 10:15 And they told us to pull over and they took us in the jungle. 10:18 And then to our surprise, 10:20 there were 300 other people in the jungle. 10:23 And they were wearing black uniforms 10:26 that said NPA or New People's Army. 10:28 That's the insurgents, what they call themselves. 10:32 And of course my wife has memorized Psalms 91. 10:36 And so she was quoting Psalms 91 10:39 while they were taking us in the jungle. 10:41 And after three hours, we were let go, 10:45 given the rules of the mountains 10:46 and their philosophy. 10:50 They were there to ambush the Mayor. 10:53 They wanted to kill the Mayor from the city below. 10:56 They had heard she was coming up, 10:59 we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. 11:01 Three days later, they did another ambush close by 11:04 and they were able to catch her and bodyguards. 11:08 The bodyguards were killed and she was put in the hospital 11:10 for quite a while, she did survive. 11:14 Wow. 11:15 So you are dealing with danger face to face. 11:18 Yeah, on a daily basis. 11:21 This year alone, airplanes were fighting over our mission post, 11:27 artillery was being shot over the houses 11:30 where we live from the village below 11:33 and 80 young people were killed in the river 11:36 behind us. 11:38 Eighty? Eighty. 11:40 Wow. Eighty young people. 11:42 Wow. 11:43 So it makes him feel even more urgency 11:46 to share the Gospel with these people, 11:47 even though it's been dangerous. 11:49 I mean, they were taken hostage. 11:51 He's had his wallet stolen, different things like that 11:53 but just everything that happens 11:56 gives him more of a sense of urgency 11:57 for the eternal lives of these people. 11:59 Yeah. 12:00 And, you know, it's not an easy thing. 12:03 The house that they were building, 12:04 they've had to build everything by hand, you know. 12:07 And that's some of the next shots we have, but... 12:10 Okay. It's not an easy place. 12:13 Yeah. It's not a safe place. 12:15 What would call somebody to do something like that 12:18 when they could have a comfortable life back home? 12:19 Why would they go out and do this kind of thing? 12:22 Because of that burden for souls. 12:24 Because when you claim your inheritance, 12:26 you're taking, personally, 12:29 these people that you're claiming, 12:30 and that's what Mike has done and Michelle. 12:32 Right. So it's beautiful to see... 12:35 Yeah. 12:36 That dedication and that devotion to the Lord, 12:39 and how He lifts them up in spite of all the challenges 12:42 they've gone through. 12:43 What's cool is that as Mike has gotten into this ministry, 12:46 I've seen his spiritual life grow. 12:49 And it's a wonderful family to hang out with, sweet family. 12:53 And I think that's because of their hearts, 12:57 their willingness to give for others. 12:59 And we think that would be 13:01 really suffering position to be in, 13:03 but the truth is that that's where heaven is, 13:07 that's where true joy is. 13:08 True joy is when you are entering into the suffering 13:12 and care of humanity through Jesus Christ. 13:15 Right. Because that's what Jesus did. 13:17 And He was looking for joy when He came to the cross. 13:20 Right. You know, He says... 13:21 For the joy set before Him. Exactly. 13:23 It's exciting. Right. 13:24 It's awesome. 13:25 So let's continue looking at some of the pictures and video. 13:27 I think the next one 13:29 is of Michelle making bricks or blocks. 13:32 Yes, for their house. 13:34 Yes, this is how they built their house. 13:50 You don't just call the local home building supply 13:53 and order a bunch of blocks, they make it themselves. 13:57 They made the cement and they made the block. 13:59 And here's a video of the making the driveway. 14:02 Yes. Again Michelle's after... 14:03 I wonder why Mike isn't in there doing it. 14:06 I think he's running the camera. 14:07 That's probably it. 14:41 You can see how painstakingly laborious working there is 14:46 and building what they have. 14:47 Right, and you could hear the wind 14:48 actually blowing in that video on the microphone also. 14:52 Yeah, and that's the wind that would make the noise 14:53 in the house. 14:54 Right. The howling sound. 14:56 Right, so this next video is of them 14:58 working in their garden 14:59 because that was one of the first things they did 15:01 because they have workers working with them, 15:03 Bible workers and other workers, 15:06 different kinds of missionaries 15:07 and they wanted to be able to grow food 15:10 to supplement what they could afford to buy. 15:11 Right. 15:13 The training that they're doing is Bible as well as practical. 15:17 And they're trying to give them different opportunities, 15:20 different ways to support themselves 15:22 and to feed their families. 15:23 So they're them different crops, 15:25 trying to find crops 15:26 that will grow with all the bugs 15:28 and everything in that location, 15:30 but they're doing really an amazing job. 15:33 And their tractor, they've got two types of tractors 15:37 and one of them is Babe. 15:40 This ox is in blue, but they named her Babe. 15:43 And she's actually one of the family's pets. 15:46 They love Babe and she is a real sweetheart, 15:49 very patient and loving and sweet and kind, 15:52 according to Mike. 15:53 Okay. 15:55 Love you, kids. Love you, Dad. 15:56 Bye. 15:57 They're heading out on an adventure today, 15:59 this day, 16:00 they're heading out to see some of their Bible workers 16:03 and see some of the projects up in the mountains 16:06 because this is the mission station 16:08 where they're house is 16:09 and where they do the planting and everything, 16:11 and that's the training place. 16:13 But the real work is out in the mountains. 16:16 Bye, Dad. 16:17 Bye. I love you. Love you, Mom. 16:19 Can you give me a kiss? 16:21 And they've got several Bible workers, yeah. 16:23 Different Bible workers in different locations. 16:25 And they're living in the villages, 16:27 doing the preaching, doing the Bible study, 16:30 doing the work directly with the people 16:32 and showing them what a Christian is like. 16:34 Now that looked like a small motorcycle for Mike, 16:37 but check this motorcycle out 16:39 and what they got on this family. 16:47 They had the whole family plus all their goods on there. 16:52 Built a platform on top of the motorbike 16:54 so they can carry more. 16:55 Yeah, I get nervous when, like, 16:56 one other person gets on a bike with me, 16:58 but those guys, they're experts. 17:00 Right. 17:01 And this is what it's like to go through 17:03 that mountainous country on one of their motor bikes. 17:06 Actually this is driving over a bridge. 17:09 Yes. On a motorbike. 17:45 You come down 29th. 17:48 Oh, maybe Wednesday. 17:51 On Wednesday. 17:53 You have no spoon? 17:56 No, my hand is a spoon. 17:59 Need a spoon. 18:02 So there you saw 18:03 the end result of their travels. 18:04 They go and here is a little group of believers 18:07 that they're working with, 18:08 and they're actually eating with them. 18:10 So they're not eating in a fancy restaurant 18:13 while the believers eat in their own houses, 18:16 they're joining with them in their houses. 18:18 And this is the truth. I mean, this is what Jesus did. 18:21 And Jesus came to earth when there wasn't running water 18:24 or internet or showers or anything like that. 18:27 He came when it was more like, what that is like. 18:30 Right, right. 18:31 And so, it's a beautiful thing to see. 18:33 Okay, this next video that we have is a video of Mike 18:36 talking about, what he has learned about God 18:39 during this process. 18:40 And let's watch that. 18:43 He is either every bit alive today 18:47 as He was in the days of Abraham, 18:49 Isaac, Moses or He's dead. 18:56 Mission just taught me to trust God at His word 18:58 and then watch it in action. 19:01 When I see or I'm facing with a problem in the mission, 19:07 I can go to the Bible, we can, in prayer claim Bible verses 19:13 and see God fulfill those. 19:15 And for me, that's probably one of the biggest bonuses 19:20 of doing this work for God is knowing that God 19:25 is not only a prayer hearing God 19:28 but He is a prayer answering God as well. 19:31 And this is a beautiful thing about the incarnational, 19:34 kind of, ministry that they're doing. 19:36 They don't have a regular salary 19:38 that's given to them, 19:39 that's dependable every single month, 19:42 so they actually do trust in God 19:43 and they pray for their survival 19:46 and for the growth of their ministry 19:48 in reaching other people. 19:49 And their kids get to see this. 19:51 Right, right. So it's not just theory. 19:53 They're engaged 19:54 and they're dealing with real-life situations 19:56 and they get to see God come through. 19:58 Right. It's awesome. 19:59 And they have to. 20:00 They have to connect with God 20:01 because he's the only one that can communicate. 20:03 Yeah. 20:05 And you know one thing I want to say, in the past, 20:07 a lot of times missionaries, they have gone overseas 20:10 and they've brought as much of the western lifestyle 20:12 as they can, so they build a compound 20:14 and they have a western style house 20:16 and they have very little interaction 20:18 with the local people. 20:19 And that's one of the big reasons 20:21 why I like, for instance, in China, 20:23 there was so much sentiment against missionaries, 20:25 is because they saw us missionaries 20:27 as being super wealthy and really, you know, 20:31 there's lot of envy there and so it's one of the reasons 20:34 why they kicked them out. 20:35 So that's why Mike and Michelle are living like the people. 20:38 Right. 20:39 You know, they do their laundry like the people, 20:41 they ride the bikes, you know, the motorbikes like the people, 20:45 and they eat with the people because they don't want there 20:47 to be unnecessary barriers, 20:49 you know, there's already differences 20:51 because they believe cleanliness 20:53 and they don't eat the things that some people eat. 20:56 So they're there to show them a more hygienic way to live 20:59 and a healthier way to live. 21:00 So they're there to lift them up 21:02 but not like this. 21:04 They're more like this, you know, 21:07 and calling them up to where people can go. 21:09 Right. 21:10 And they really reach people that way. 21:11 Right. 21:12 Yeah, so this next video is kind of a fun one. 21:14 It shows them crossing, well, let's just watch the video. 21:17 Okay. 21:35 That's probably on the way into town. 21:38 Could have been, could have been. 21:40 And you think that's bad. Check this one out. 21:42 Okay. 21:45 Some guys carrying the motorbike 21:46 across the stream. 21:48 Now you have to watch, right here, you'll see a log. 21:50 See that log? Went right by them. 21:52 What if it hit that guy there? 21:53 And it might have knocked him over 21:55 and the whole bike going on in the drain. 21:57 It's a dangerous type of thing and it takes a lot of effort 22:00 just to do the very basics 22:01 that we kind of take for granted. 22:03 Right, travel, going somewhere, going to town, 22:05 going to the village next door is not a, it's not a joke. 22:10 It's... 22:11 Yeah, it just makes me really proud 22:13 to see the effort and the pain 22:15 that these guys go through just to do the basic living, 22:19 let alone reaching out to bring the Gospel to people 22:22 that haven't had access to it in any other way. 22:24 It makes me proud to play just a little role, 22:26 you know, we're here in America 22:28 accepting the tax deductible donations 22:31 and then sending everything to them that we receive. 22:34 And to do that little bit in what they're doing, 22:37 it just makes me really proud. 22:39 It's something to be thankful for, 22:40 to be a part of it. 22:41 It's an honor. Yes, it's a big honor. 22:43 This is another little video showing travel issues. 22:48 Big mud slide, 22:49 motorbike isn't going to make it up through there, 22:51 so mommy and little boy has to get out and walk. 22:54 Yeah, so the next video we have is Mike talking about 22:58 what keeps them there, why they stay 23:00 even though it's challenging and difficult. 23:03 Jesus gave us a privilege not only a marching order 23:06 but a privilege in Matthew 28 23:09 to go and to share the Gospel. 23:14 I think it's in I Peter 23:19 we're told by Paul that Jesus was made an example 23:22 and suffered for our sakes 23:24 and that we should follow that example 23:26 for others. 23:27 And then of course, James says that we should be more than 23:30 just hearers of the word but doers of the word. 23:34 I'm not a lovely person and I know that. 23:39 And if God can give the grace that He's given to me, 23:43 then the least I can do is give back, you know, 23:46 you've heard the saying, those that love much 23:49 or those that have been forgiven much, love much. 23:52 And I've been forgiven a whole bunch 23:55 and I owe the Lord a lot. 23:58 I owe my life. 23:59 And these people... 24:03 You know, Jon, you and I have seen, 24:07 we've seen goodness in America, we've seen goodness, okay, 24:10 we've been in nice houses, we've been in nice buildings 24:16 where royalty was at, 24:18 we've seen beautiful things here. 24:21 And now you look at these people 24:23 who live in a moldy wooden shack 24:26 in torrential weather. 24:29 And you think... 24:34 if they can get a taste of heaven, 24:36 their reward is gonna be so sweet. 24:39 And I want to see their faces, you know what I mean? 24:45 It's a motivator for me. It's a motivator. 24:47 I want to see their faces. 24:51 So he wants to take them to heaven. 24:53 And that moment when they step into heaven 24:56 and they see from where they've been 25:00 in their little huts, I mean, 25:02 it's one thing for us to imagine, 25:05 but for them, wow. 25:07 Yeah. Yeah, that's gonna be a moment. 25:10 That's a moment worth working for. 25:11 Right. Yeah. 25:13 Right, so that's part of 25:15 why I love Mike and Michelle's story 25:17 because they're so motivated by eternity. 25:21 Yes. 25:22 So here is a temporal blessing, sort of, 25:26 it's a baptismal meeting. 25:29 So this is some of the fruit of their hard labor. 25:31 Yes. 26:07 Isn't that amazing? It's beautiful. 26:09 I don't know what it is, but every time I see a baptism, 26:11 I just get a little choked up. 26:14 It's our need to think about people being washed clean 26:16 by the blood of Jesus. 26:17 Yes, making that step, that commitment. 26:18 That it symbolizes. 26:19 So we have a little video of Mike talking about 26:22 what baptism means to him. 26:24 Three weeks ago, I guess, when we came here, 26:28 we came to the US, three weeks ago on Furlough 26:30 and we just had our last baptism for the year. 26:35 And I think that put us over the 1,150 mark 26:39 since 2008, by God's grace. 26:43 Eleven hundred and fifty baptisms. 26:45 Awesome. 26:46 A thousand people, you know, I heard a statistic 26:49 just a couple of days ago that said that 26:51 85 percent of Christians that are born and raised 26:55 in the church 26:57 never share their faith with someone else. 26:58 Wow. 26:59 Never bring another soul to Christ. 27:01 And here he's brought 1,150, he and his wife and their team, 27:05 that's so exciting. 27:07 Yeah, that's awesome. 27:08 I can't wait to get to heaven too to see these people. 27:09 To meet them, yeah. 27:11 Maybe some of them will become choir directors in heaven, 27:13 you know. 27:14 Or something more. Yeah, yeah, it's just... 27:17 I can't wait. 27:18 So here's a picture of a crippled man 27:21 that wanted to be baptized, 27:22 so they're carrying him down into the water 27:24 so he could be baptized also. 27:25 Yes, yes. 27:26 So here's Mike and Michelle with some of their friends 27:30 that they might meet on the way to town. 27:32 They're just out there motivated by 27:35 the vision of the future, 27:36 that day when these people meet Jesus, 27:39 step into heaven, what a day that's gonna be. 27:42 Yeah, it'll be beautiful. Yes. 27:45 I'd like to invite you 27:46 to please pray for Mike and Michelle Cordes 27:48 of GoBeDo Missions 27:49 as they'd lived the gospel among these precious people. 27:52 And please prayerfully consider how God maybe asking 27:55 you to help. 27:56 You may send your tax deductible love gift 27:58 to Jesus for Asia, 28:00 PO Box 1221, Collegedale, Tennessee 37315. 28:05 Call us at (423) 413-7321 28:08 or check out our website at Jesus4asia.org. 28:12 Thank you for joining us for Jesus for Asia Now. 28:14 May God richly bless you 28:16 as we prepare for His soon coming. |
