00:21 Hello, and welcome to Jesus for Asia Now.
00:23 I'm Natalie Wood 00:24 and I have my husband Jon here with me on the show. 00:26 Hello, love. Hi, darling. 00:28 How're you doing? I'm doing great. 00:29 Merry Christmas. 00:30 Oh, you beat me to it. 00:32 This is our Christmas special. 00:34 Yeah, you can tell by the set, right? 00:35 It's decorated little bit special. 00:37 Yes, it is. 00:39 And, you know, we want to introduce 00:40 people to our workers here. 00:41 Yes, the ones in North America. 00:43 Right, and then also to a few of the ones 00:46 in Thailand in particular. 00:48 That's right. 00:49 And we want to share a little bit about 00:50 some new projects and some ideas 00:52 and concepts that the Lord is sharing with us. 00:54 That's right. 00:55 One of the first questions I want to ask you 00:57 before we get into all the other neat things 00:59 we're gonna do on the show today. 01:01 What was the first time you spent Christmas overseas? 01:04 The first time was in 1985 01:07 and I had just graduated college, 01:09 and I was in Korea as a student missionary, 01:12 and I had gotten sick and I'd gone up to Seoul, 01:16 the main city which is about four hours from the city 01:19 that I was teaching in, 01:21 and I wanted to get back home, 01:23 this was Christmas Eve 01:25 and I took the train and I got to the station 01:29 and I walked two miles to my apartment 01:32 and it was totally cold and nobody was there, 01:35 and I was alone for Christmas Eve, 01:37 and I tried to call my parents and they weren't awake. 01:40 So... 01:41 And this was a number of years ago, 01:42 so there was no e-mail. No e-mail. 01:44 There was no Skype. No Skype. 01:45 So when I think of Christmas overseas, 01:48 especially when you're by yourself, 01:50 when you're separated from loved ones, 01:51 it can be a very lonely thing and you really start to think, 01:54 "Why am I here?" 01:55 Yeah, and on that note, 01:57 we want to talk a little bit about 01:58 what we're doing today on the show. 02:00 Yeah. 02:01 We want to introduce everybody to our staff here in America 02:04 and to a few of our missionaries. 02:06 We've got some holiday greetings from some of them 02:09 and they'll be sharing a little bit about 02:11 what they're doing. 02:12 But first, let's talk a little bit about 02:14 our list of projects because I know maybe 02:16 some of our viewers have gone to our website before 02:19 and if they watched before, 02:20 they know that we have over 40 projects already. 02:23 Yes, yes. 02:24 So let's share a little bit about our list of projects 02:27 as they're on the website. 02:28 How do you find this list of projects? 02:29 It's really simple. 02:31 You just go to our website at jesus4asia.org 02:35 and then in the upper right, 02:36 there is a button that says, "List of Projects." 02:38 Click on that and you get 02:40 the entire list of all of our projects. 02:42 Now some of these projects, we don't have a page for, 02:44 so if you go through our website, 02:46 you're not gonna be able to see it. 02:47 But this is our total list and it's simple to update, 02:50 so we update it with new projects. 02:52 Some projects go away pretty soon 02:54 because they get fully funded, 02:55 so we just want to run through that list very quickly, 02:58 just to kind of get a feel for what's there, you know, 03:01 this is a season for giving, right? 03:03 Yes. 03:04 Yeah, and so we want to provide another opportunity 03:07 to give to other causes besides, 03:10 you know, we just go buy stuff for ourselves. 03:12 Right. Yeah. 03:13 Or our loved ones. 03:14 Right, and so this is just providing an opportunity 03:17 during the giving season 03:18 to think outside of just ourselves, 03:21 to think about others on the other side of the world. 03:24 That we can affect 03:25 with just a little bit of money or even a lot. 03:27 Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely, yeah. 03:30 So we just run through those projects real quick. 03:32 You can see, we have Bible workers, 03:35 we have children, we have publishing, 03:38 you know, translating and publishing, 03:41 this Man of Peace is a new one into Thai. 03:44 We also have churches that people can donate to, 03:46 especially like in the slum or a very poor areas of the world 03:49 that don't have the ability to build their own churches. 03:52 We got the Widow School mentioned there. 03:54 Our All Asia Media Team, you notice that on the right, 03:57 sometimes you'll see the little thermometer, 04:00 those are for the ones that have a certain goal that 04:03 they're trying to reach. 04:04 The other ones don't have and those are like 04:05 monthly expenses, 04:07 you can see there's the Atwells, 04:08 we're gonna hear from them later on in the show. 04:11 There's Gayle and Sharon Family 04:14 and other missionaries. 04:16 There is the Bair family and then GoBeDo, 04:19 slaving away down in South Philippines 04:22 working among in a very difficult situation. 04:24 As you can see, something for everybody. 04:27 If you look at the very bottom, 04:28 you've got "Where Needed Most." 04:30 People can donate to that. 04:31 And then it goes to wherever the biggest need is 04:33 that we sense at the time. 04:35 First one is Invested Jesus for Asia 04:38 because if someone donates to Jesus4Asia, 04:41 then all of these projects get supported. 04:44 You know, that's what allows us to function 04:45 to support these projects 04:47 and to enable them to move forward 04:49 doing what they do best. 04:50 And you know there's at the very bottom, 04:52 there's a little checkbox. 04:53 It says, "Make a recurring donation." 04:57 That means that every month, 04:58 whatever you've put in those boxes 05:00 will be automatically deducted from your credit card 05:04 which is kind of cool for like 05:06 if you're sponsoring a Bible worker 05:08 or a child or a widow or something like that. 05:10 And we have several people 05:11 that have chosen three or four items 05:13 even on the list and every month, 05:15 it's charging for that and so their sponsorship 05:18 or their donation is automatic. 05:21 Yes, they don't have to think about going and... 05:23 It just happens. Right. 05:25 And these were the things that missionaries appreciate so much 05:28 and national missionaries as well, Bible workers, 05:32 our media team in North Thailand, 05:34 all those national missionaries 05:36 that are really doing an amazing job 05:38 in where they have support. 05:40 Well, speaking of our home office, 05:41 we want to introduce our team here in North America. 05:44 Yeah, this is pretty exciting. 05:45 We've never done this before. Right. 05:47 You're gonna swap me out for some other people. 05:49 Right, but first, 05:51 while you leave us and someone else comes on, 05:53 we want to introduce the Bauders from Thailand. 05:56 Yes. 05:57 Merry Christmas from Bangkok, Thailand. 05:59 This is Josh. 06:00 And Chitlada Bauder. 06:02 This season, we're gonna miss our family and friends 06:05 in Spokane and Courtland area. 06:07 We'll be eating Som Tam and sticky rice in Christmas. 06:10 We thank you for all your prayers 06:11 and all your support that you've given to us. 06:13 And we pray that this season 06:14 that you will remember the kids in the slums 06:16 who don't have the opportunity to know the Lord. 06:19 Merry Christmas. 06:23 She was talking about Som Tam 06:25 and mangoes and sticky rice for Christmas. 06:27 I don't know if you've ever tried either of those dishes. 06:29 Som Tam is green papaya salad and can be very spicy 06:33 but it can also be very yummy. 06:35 And mangoes and sticky rice, well, 06:37 you just have to try it for yourself. 06:39 Maybe check out your local Thai place 06:41 and see if they have any. 06:43 You know, Joshua's talking about being away 06:45 from family and friends for Christmas 06:46 and it's especially hard but, you know, 06:49 they're not there because it's comfortable 06:51 or because it's easy. 06:52 They're there to share the gospel 06:54 with the people of Thailand. 06:56 At this time, I'd like to introduce you to Joe. 06:59 Joe works here with us in our office. 07:01 Welcome to the show, Joel. 07:03 Thank you for having me. 07:04 Now where were you originally from? 07:07 I'm from India. 07:08 I was born there 07:09 and then I grew up till about nine years old 07:11 and then I came to America. 07:13 Okay, so the star over the door is a familiar thing to you. 07:16 Yeah, I really liked that putting every year. 07:18 Yeah, and they're usually larger than that but... 07:20 Yes, much bigger and like yellow and red and shiny... 07:23 All different colors... 07:24 Yeah, it's beautiful. 07:25 Well, we had to substitute what we could find. 07:28 Yeah. 07:29 But it reminds us of our friends in India for Christmas. 07:31 Oh, yes, definitely. 07:32 So, Joel, what do you do here at Jesus for Asia? 07:34 I do the graphic design work here, 07:36 so lately it's been the print work that 07:39 most of the people have seen 07:40 and now we're also working on the website, 07:42 so hopefully that will be done soon. 07:44 Yeah, we're excited to have a new website finally. 07:47 Yes, praise God. Yes. 07:48 So how did you come to work here at Jesus for Asia, 07:51 you came fairly recently? 07:53 Yes, about four or five months ago 07:55 and my journey was actually very interesting. 07:57 I was working at a tech job 08:00 and I was wondering what do I do next 08:03 because I was like, 08:04 "Is this all that God has for me for this life?" 08:07 So I prayed about it and I asked for direction 08:10 and then I got a call from someone at church 08:12 and they asked if I wanted to go to Washington 08:14 to do health coaching. 08:16 I reluctantly said, "Yes" 08:17 after remembering the prayer and then after that, 08:20 an opportunity came up to go to Romania and Moldova 08:23 to train for sanitarium work, 08:25 so I thought God was taking me 08:26 in the health route so I enjoyed it, 08:28 it was awesome and then after I came back, 08:30 I was wondering, "What do I do next?" 08:32 I had a couple of doors open 08:34 and my mom reminded me, 08:36 I remember Jesus for Asia had done 08:38 small work for you guys 08:39 right before I left, 08:41 so I messaged Jon and he said, 08:44 "Yes," you guys were still looking 08:45 and so I prayed. 08:46 I told Jon I had to pray about it 08:48 and all the other doors closed, 08:49 praise God, and I knew 08:51 this is where I needed to be. 08:52 All right, wow, that's an amazing story. 08:54 Yeah, God is good. 08:55 Yeah, you know, He leads us 08:57 in strange ways sometimes... 08:59 Yeah, yeah. 09:00 You know, but He always has His plan in mind 09:02 and so we just have to follow. 09:03 Amen, yes. 09:04 So how do you see your work as a graphic artist, 09:08 how do you see that work playing in to 09:10 sharing the gospel or mission work or...? 09:13 Well, it's amazing how interested God is 09:15 in the graphics aspect of things. 09:17 There's times where I come in, 09:19 after doing morning devotional 09:20 and I'll start off doing, you know, 09:22 the graphics work and I'll have like this block, 09:26 like what's going on and then God will remind me, 09:29 "Did you pray?" 09:30 I was like, let me pray again 09:31 and I would pray and ask God for direction 09:34 and all of a sudden, you know, like... 09:36 Creative ideas... 09:37 You know, creative ideas come in 09:38 and you just know that 09:40 God is interested in everything 09:41 because He's the one who is letting people see that 09:45 and it's the Holy Spirit working on their hearts, 09:47 so it's amazing. 09:48 Right, you know, He knows just what 09:50 picture will draw people's hearts to Him 09:52 and which, you know, what words we need to use 09:55 and how it is to be laid up, 09:56 every part of it... 09:57 Yeah. He has the best ideas. 09:59 Yeah, and then I look at them before and after, 10:00 I'm like, "Oh, thank God for the outturn. 10:02 Thank God for God, right? Yes. 10:04 God is good. Yes. 10:05 Very good. 10:07 Well, thank you, Joel, 10:07 for coming on and sharing your story with us. 10:09 Well, thank you for having me. All right. 10:11 At this time, we'd like to share 10:12 a video greeting from another missionary to Thailand, 10:15 Brian Atwell 10:17 Merry Christmas from Bangkok, Thailand. 10:20 This year, not only will I be missing 10:22 my family and friends that live in America 10:24 but also my wife and children who are back visiting. 10:28 You know, as you look around this city 10:30 during Christmas time, 10:32 you see many of the same things 10:33 that you would in America. 10:35 There are Christmas trees and there are decorations 10:37 in many of the prominent malls in areas of town. 10:40 That's about as far as 10:41 the idea of Christmas goes for most Thai people. 10:44 In America, many of us understand that 10:47 the traditional meaning is 10:49 the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus, 10:52 but in the city of 15 plus million people, 10:55 less than 1% of them are Christian 10:58 and have any concept of who Jesus is, 11:01 let alone that He came here 11:02 to bring us salvation, to bring us life. 11:05 This holiday season, 11:07 as you gather with your friends and family 11:09 and rejoice in the blessings 11:11 that you've had over the last year, 11:13 please remember those who are here in this huge city, 11:17 who have never had the opportunity 11:19 to hear about the love of God 11:21 and the gift that He sent in His son, 11:24 Jesus Christ, to come here and to give us life. 11:26 Thank you for your prayer and your support. 11:29 Merry Christmas. 11:31 Yes, Brian is by himself for Christmas this year. 11:34 His lovely wife Jessica, and their two children, 11:36 Asher and Joseph, 11:38 we will see in the next video but first, 11:40 I would like to introduce you to Thaddeus Lozensky. 11:43 Hi, Thad, welcome to the show. 11:44 Hi. 11:46 So what do you do here at Jesus for Asia? 11:48 I am the marketing development coordinator. 11:51 My official title is Missions Awareness Coordinator 11:53 and I'm in-charge of writing all the newsletters. 11:58 We have an e-mail newsletter that we send out. 12:00 We've also started doing a quarterly 12:02 mail newsletter that's really bright 12:04 and looks really nice 12:05 and Joel does the layout for that 12:06 and we work together on that. 12:08 I'm also involved in the new website 12:11 that we're developing 12:12 and we're really excited to get down 12:14 and get out for all of our JFA family, 12:18 and my most important job is to develop the fundraising 12:22 and marketing campaigns that we use to bring in new money 12:27 for Jesus for Asia, for all of our projects. 12:29 You saw that huge list. 12:31 There's a lot of projects to market for, 12:33 and so I work with everyone to develop 12:36 how we can best present those projects to our donor base. 12:41 You have an interesting story 12:43 and I know it's hard to tell it briefly 12:44 but could you tell us 12:45 how you came to work at Jesus for Asia? 12:48 Well, sure. 12:50 Last year, in June, 12:54 I've been praying really hard for God to bring me, 12:59 to show me where He wanted me to go next with my career. 13:02 I'd been working at the local university here 13:05 and was feeling ready to move on, 13:08 and one day I was praying 13:11 and I felt just a clear impression 13:14 in my mind from God, 13:16 Jesus for Asia. 13:18 And I nearly fell over in shock and amazement 13:23 because I had never considered Jesus for Asia 13:26 as a possible option for my career. 13:30 My wife worked there for a little while 13:33 as a video editor and a media production person, 13:37 and so I got to know you and the staff 13:40 a little bit like that, 13:41 but I never really considered that as an option, 13:43 so when I got that impression it was, 13:45 it could only have been from the Holy Spirit 13:47 'cause it would have never entered my mind... 13:49 Out of the blue. 13:50 Yeah, and it's been just a wonderful experience. 13:54 I learned so much about the needs in the world 13:58 and God's heart for the world here. 14:01 You know, John 3:16 has taken on a much greater meaning, 14:06 "For God so loved the world and..." 14:10 Our world tends to be pretty small 14:13 and working here has expanded my world tremendously 14:17 and yes, I have been very blessed 14:19 with my time here. 14:20 All right. 14:21 Well, thank you for sharing, Thad. 14:23 Nice to meet you here. 14:24 Good to be here. All right. 14:25 At this point, we're going to change 14:27 and we're gonna have another video 14:29 and this is Jessica, 14:30 Asher and Joseph Atwell. 14:32 All right, ready, grandma. 14:33 It's going. It's going. 14:35 Okay, Merry Christmas. 14:37 Merry Christmas. 14:39 Happy holidays from the Atwells, 14:41 from Jessica, Asher and brand new one, Joseph. 14:45 Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas 14:48 and a Happy New Year and hopefully, 14:51 you enjoy the time with your family and friends, 14:54 and don't forget the people who are sacrificing time 14:56 with their family and their friends 14:58 because it's not easy, 15:00 but we're doing it for the Lord 15:01 and we can't wait all to be together in heaven 15:04 and celebrate as one big family. 15:05 So happy holidays from us. 15:07 We love you. God bless. 15:09 That was Jessica, Asher and Joseph Atwell 15:12 and that's Brian's family. 15:14 And as you can tell Brian is in Bangkok 15:17 and Jessica and the children are in America. 15:19 They had some medical issues to deal with, 15:21 as well as some other family things 15:23 they needed to deal with. 15:24 So please pray for them. 15:26 I have Jon back with me. 15:27 We have a little bit more to talk about here. 15:29 I wanted to point out the buttons 15:31 that we have hanging on the tree. 15:34 We've got these little buttons called, 15:36 this one's a "I fed a hundred children." 15:38 You know, it only cost $25 to feed a hundred children. 15:42 That's at our evening schools in India. 15:43 Right. 15:44 That's basically a quarter a day. 15:46 So it's one meal per day. Per child. 15:48 And plus, two hours of education per day, 15:50 six days a week. 15:52 Plus worship. 15:53 So this provides a hundred of those meals 15:56 and educational times for only $25. 15:59 This one is a 1,000. 16:01 So I fed a 1,000. 16:02 This says, "I fed a 1,000 children in India." 16:05 So for $250, 16:07 that's all it takes to feed a 1, 000 children 16:10 and provide two hours of education 16:13 for those 1,000 kids. 16:14 It's awesome. 16:15 Yeah, and it makes a nice gift too. 16:16 We have some friends 16:17 that have given them to their family and friends 16:19 for Christmas and the people enjoyed knowing that 16:22 that many children got to eat. 16:23 Yeah, yeah. 16:25 To find one of these on your Christmas tree is like, 16:27 wow, a 100 kids. 16:28 Wow, or a 1,000, that's cool. 16:30 Yeah. 16:31 So if someone is interested in donating 16:34 and receiving a button, 16:35 they can just call us or e-mail us 16:37 at the link on the screen. 16:38 Yeah, it's a great way to inspire your grandkids 16:41 to think about others on this Christmas season. 16:44 So at this point we want to change gears a little bit 16:47 and talk about our vision for the New Year. 16:49 Yeah, there's not much time left in 2016. 16:52 Can you believe it? 16:53 No, and we have some idea of how, 16:57 kind of sensing how the Lord is leading. 16:59 Yeah, yeah, you know, 17:01 this last trip through India and Thailand, 17:03 it's like, I see the power of the Bible worker. 17:07 So I sense God wanting to grow that program. 17:10 So more Bible workers, there's always a call for more, 17:13 you know, like in Assam, we have 33 Bible workers, 17:17 there's only four pastors for 32 million people. 17:21 There's a desperate need for more workers. 17:22 Right. Yeah. 17:24 So that's just one of the things 17:26 that we see coming next year. 17:27 And the big change that we see is churches, 17:31 building churches. 17:32 Up until now, 17:33 we haven't had much involvement with building churches 17:36 'cause we've been supporting Bible workers 17:38 and they've been planting house churches, 17:41 but now we see that there's a huge need 17:43 because we have congregations 17:45 that don't have a place to meet 17:46 and so they're scattered like in the slum 17:48 in Mumbai, you know. 17:50 There's no place for them to meet 17:52 and so they are a scattered flock 17:54 and so our big call that 17:56 we seek God is a big need for churches, 18:01 for building churches, 18:02 and the challenges that a lot of these local conferences 18:06 or regions or sections, 18:08 they just don't have the funds to build churches. 18:11 Some places do, a lot of places don't, 18:14 and so we feel that's a call that Lord has placed. 18:16 And we're gonna talk more about that 18:18 in our next episode. 18:19 The New Year special. 18:20 Yes, at this point we have another video. 18:23 This one is a promotional video for our new project. 18:26 Yeah, I'm really excited about this project 18:28 'cause I'm the cameraman in it. 18:30 You're the cameraman? Yeah. 18:31 You're not on screen? 18:32 No, and my son is producing it. Okay. 18:36 It's a new project and well, we've got the video, 18:39 talks about what it is. 18:41 Okay, all right, here we go. 18:43 Hi, I'm James Wood 18:45 and I'm producing this show called "Mission Trek." 18:47 A few years ago, 18:48 I got a call from Brenda Walsh at 3ABN's Kids Network. 18:51 She was saying how they don't have enough shows 18:54 that will inspire kids to put on her channel. 18:56 We're all about missions. 18:57 So we thought we would combine our passion for that 19:00 and our love for kids into one show. 19:02 So I told Brenda that we would love to do a show 19:04 if it was about missions and she loved the idea. 19:07 Originally, we were going to go profile a bunch of kids 19:10 that lived in the mission field. 19:11 But then we found out 19:12 that there are very few kids in the mission field. 19:15 So we came up with the idea of following my sister 19:18 and her best friend 19:19 as they learn about the cultures 19:21 and meet missionaries 19:22 who are ministering to God's other children. 19:24 The first time I went overseas, 19:26 I was four-years-old 19:28 and we went to India and Thailand. 19:29 Since then, I've had the opportunity 19:31 to go back five times. 19:33 The first time I went overseas, 19:34 it really opened my mind 19:36 to what it's like being over there. 19:37 I can't wait to introduce other kids to missions. 19:40 We'll be traveling to meet God's other kids 19:42 from the slums of Bangkok 19:44 to the mountain jungles of Northern Thailand. 19:46 Along the way, we will be meeting 19:47 amazing missionaries and interviewing them 19:49 to learn why they are so happy. 19:51 So far, we have the funding for the basic production, 19:54 this means that Lily Ann and I 19:56 and one other camera person can go 19:58 but not the rest of the team 20:00 including Lily Ann's mom and siblings. 20:01 Part of the show is gonna be shot on set here, 20:04 but we don't have enough funds to finish it or light it. 20:06 We'll be traveling to Thailand 20:08 and would like to visit Cambodia 20:09 also if funding allows. 20:11 We'll be borrowing cameras from Jesus for Asia, 20:13 but they don't have all the equipment 20:14 we need to shoot the show in the field, 20:15 we need to purchase more. 20:16 You can send your tax deductible 20:18 love gift to Jesus for Asia, 20:20 PO Box 1221, Collegedale, Tennessee 37315 20:25 and mark it for "Mission Trek." 20:26 Call us at 423-413-7321 20:30 or check out our website at missiontrek.net. 20:33 Your donation will go a long ways towards inspiring 20:36 the next generation of missionaries. 20:39 Doesn't that look like an exciting project? 20:41 I think it is. 20:42 And right now, 20:43 I would like to introduce you to my son, James. 20:46 Welcome to the show, James. 20:48 Thank you. 20:49 Nice to have you on with us. 20:50 Yeah. Good to be here. 20:51 So are you excited to produce this new show? 20:53 Yeah, it's gonna be a challenge. 20:56 It's something I've never done before 20:58 but I think it's gonna be good and with God's help, 21:00 it's gonna be amazing. 21:02 So what's it like to produce your first show? 21:04 It's a daunting feeling like I don't know, 21:09 I've always just been helping out here. 21:11 I never really done anything that big, 21:13 and so yeah. 21:15 So are there a lot of details involved? 21:17 So many details and yeah, 21:20 trying to figure out how to shoot the show 21:23 and how to do everything, 21:24 line everything up organize, it's... 21:26 Planning it and all that. 21:29 It can be a nightmare if you aren't organized. 21:32 Yeah. 21:33 So how big is your crew? 21:35 It's not very big. 21:37 My dad as he said before it was... 21:39 He is a cameraman. 21:42 He is gonna help me following Mary Ann and Lilly Ann, 21:46 the host and... 21:49 I think you're gonna help with like organizing everything 21:53 and that's it basically, so... 21:56 Yeah, Lily Ann's mom 21:57 and her siblings would be there to help 21:58 at least part of the time also. 22:01 But I think it will be a good show. 22:03 It's got a good... 22:05 From what I've seen already of your planning, 22:08 we got a good, good show on the way, so... 22:10 We got some awesome stuff planned, so... 22:13 Yeah, it will be fun and exciting 22:15 but it will also be thought provoking and bring out some, 22:19 maybe some new ideas to some kids out there. 22:22 Yep. 22:23 And some adults too I think. 22:24 All right, well, 22:25 thank you for joining us on the show today, James. 22:27 Thanks for having me. 22:29 All right, at this time we'd like to share 22:31 another greeting from our friends in Thailand. 22:39 Merry Christmas from Thailand. 22:41 Thank you for your prayer and support. 22:43 May God bless you. 22:45 Bye. That will be great. 25:17 All right, well thank you young ladies 25:19 for being with us on the show today. 25:20 You're welcome. Thank you for having us. 25:22 All right. 25:23 And now we have another video greeting 25:25 from a missionary in Thailand Jonathan Hill. 25:29 Hello friends, and Merry Christmas 25:31 from Thailand. 25:32 You know this would be my first Christmas 25:33 after moving here to Thailand 25:35 and there will be things that are different, right. 25:37 I won't be with my parents, 25:39 I won't be with family and with the... 25:40 Eating the food that I'm used to eating on Christmas. 25:43 But there is something else that's far more different 25:46 and far more important and that is, you know, 25:48 they say Jesus is the reason for the season, right. 25:52 Well, over here 25:53 the vast majority of people have no concept of Jesus, 25:58 who is the reason for the season. 26:01 So as you enjoy this Christmas season, 26:03 I encourage you to thank God for the blessing 26:06 He has given you and to contemplate 26:09 how you can pass on those blessings 26:12 to those less fortunate. 26:14 God bless. 26:16 You know, I can really relate to Jonathan being young, 26:18 single, overseas on Christmas. 26:21 Right, missing his family, 26:23 but he is there for purpose. 26:25 Yes. 26:26 And that's what we've heard from these other missionaries, 26:27 these other videos that we've seen tonight. 26:29 And they are just a representation 26:31 of all the missionaries. 26:33 There is other missionaries that didn't send in a video 26:35 and they're suffering, 26:37 they're missing family maybe as well. 26:40 Right, and these videos we got this morning 26:42 so it's a... 26:44 You know, it's right now. 26:45 It's these holidays right now. 26:47 And so I would just like 26:48 to invite our viewers at this time, 26:50 I'd like to ask you to pray for these missionaries 26:53 for the Atwells, the Bauders, 26:55 for Jonathan Hill 26:57 and all the other ones that they represent. 26:59 You know, even our media team in Thailand. 27:01 They're surrounded by people that don't know Jesus, 27:04 and they're doing their best to tell them. 27:06 And, you know Thailand is less than 1% Christian. 27:09 So they're literally surrounded by people 27:12 that don't know Jesus. 27:14 And then we could talk about India 27:15 and all the other countries in the world 27:17 where the gospel has not been preached to every nation, 27:20 kindred, tongue and people. 27:21 That's a lot of people out there 27:23 that haven't heard the good news. 27:25 So please pray for them, 27:27 pray for our friends in India and Cambodia 27:30 and the other countries around there. 27:33 All around the world there are people 27:34 that don't know Jesus, 27:35 and this time of year especially, 27:37 we remember how much He loved us, 27:39 that He came to this world 27:41 and that He died to save us from our sins. 27:44 Don't they have the right to know also? 27:47 If you would like to help these projects 27:50 and all of our other ones, 27:52 please send your tax deductible love gift to Jesus for Asia, 27:56 PO Box 1221, Collegedale, Tennessee 37315. 28:02 Call us at 423-413-7321 28:06 or check out our website at Jesus4asia.org. 28:10 All of us here at Jesus for Asia 28:12 would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas. |
