00:00 (uplifting music)
00:21 - Hello and welcome to "Jesus for Asia Now."
00:24 I'm Natalie Wood.
00:25 I have Jon here with me today,
00:26 and I'd like to welcome you
00:28 to our headquarters office here in Collegedale, Tennessee.
00:31 Today, we want to share with you
00:32 some of the many things we have to be thankful for
00:34 here at Jesus for Asia.
00:37 Come on in.
00:37 Let's go inside.
00:38 (gentle music)
00:49 - Welcome to Jesus for Asia.
00:51 This is the building that God has called us into
00:53 for a purpose.
00:55 This is a first step in his vision of reaching all of Asia.
00:58 - Yes, and part of his vision, obviously,
01:00 by giving us a building this size,
01:02 is that we have to have more staff.
01:03 So I'm gonna introduce our friends to some people.
01:06 And why don't you go ahead and do the work you need to do
01:09 and we'll catch up with you later?
01:11 - Okay.
01:12 See you. - All right.
01:13 Come this way and let's meet my friend, Heidi.
01:15 So Heidi, what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
01:19 - I answer the phones
01:20 and I also coordinate the prayer ministry.
01:24 - Okay.
01:25 So what does that involve, coordinating prayer ministry?
01:27 - Just planning different times of prayer.
01:30 We have a windows of prayer
01:32 that we're doing every week at different times
01:35 so that the missionaries can join.
01:37 And also we are doing quarterly 24-hour prayer.
01:41 We have a daily prayer guide.
01:43 And so just encouraging people there.
01:45 - We have prayer team.
01:46 - And we have a prayer team.
01:48 - Yeah, so if somebody wants to join our prayer team,
01:51 they can go to the website and there's a link there
01:53 - Absolutely. - To join.
01:54 Yeah, we would love to have them join.
01:56 - Yeah.
01:57 So do you have something you'd like
01:58 to share that you're thankful for?
01:59 I know you haven't been here very long,
02:00 but do you have something to share?
02:02 - Absolutely.
02:03 I am so grateful because God
02:05 has provided housing for my husband
02:08 and I in this time of transition
02:11 and has been helping me prepare a home
02:14 for him when he comes back in a few days
02:17 from Bible worker training.
02:20 And I'm also thankful that I get to answer the phones
02:23 and pray with people as they call in.
02:25 That's been a real blessing to me.
02:27 - Awesome.
02:28 All right, well thank you for sharing.
02:30 Okay, let's move on.
02:32 We're gonna go through a room here
02:34 that's a little bit different.
02:36 So this room is our poverty experience room.
02:39 You can see it's set up with tables.
02:41 We do have some events here where people eat,
02:43 and so we let them eat in here.
02:45 But we have this hut here that is set up
02:48 to look like a hut in India, in one of the villages.
02:51 It's a very special story,
02:53 which we've shared on our "Jesus for Asia Now" show before
02:57 about a little village called Amaravati.
02:59 And this is made after one of the huts in Amaravati.
03:03 And it's a story of a Bible worker that was determined
03:07 to reach to the people in this village.
03:09 So determined that she cooked food
03:11 and took it there for three months
03:13 without them ever talking to her.
03:16 Three months, can you imagine?
03:17 And after the three months,
03:18 they finally started talking to her.
03:20 Why wouldn't they talk to her?
03:22 Because her sari was too nice.
03:24 They thought she was a wealthy woman
03:25 and they didn't deserve to talk to her.
03:27 Once they started talking to her,
03:29 she found out about the educational needs of the children
03:32 and we were able to start an evening school in that village.
03:35 So this is an awesome story
03:36 of how by enabling Bible workers
03:40 and enabling evening schools,
03:41 we're able to help a village in India.
03:44 So let's move on.
03:45 Okay, then here on our left side
03:47 of the hallway is our accounting department.
03:50 Come on in.
03:52 - Hi. - Hi Veronica.
03:53 What do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
03:55 - Oh, well, I help in the accounting office.
03:57 And I also help with missionary support
04:00 and connecting with our missionaries.
04:02 - Okay.
04:02 And do you enjoy this?
04:04 - I do enjoy it.
04:05 It's very fun.
04:06 - Oh, praise the Lord.
04:07 How long have you been working here?
04:08 - I have been working here five years.
04:11 - Okay, do you have something you'd like to share
04:13 with us today that you're thankful for?
04:15 - I am thankful for God's perfect timing
04:19 and I have seen that a lot working in this ministry.
04:21 And it's amazing.
04:23 - Just financially or in other ways?
04:25 - In other ways, but it definitely shows financially.
04:29 You can see that God provides just when he needs to
04:32 and it's just amazing.
04:33 - Wow.
04:34 Well, praise the Lord.
04:35 Thank you for sharing.
04:36 - Yeah, you're welcome.
04:38 - Let's go on in and meet Tim in his office.
04:41 Hi Tim.
04:42 - Well, hello.
04:43 - What do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
04:45 - Well, I help also out in accounting.
04:47 - Okay.
04:48 And have you been here long?
04:50 - No, I've been here about four months.
04:53 - Wow. Okay.
04:54 And do you have something you'd like to share
04:55 that you're thankful for?
04:56 - Well, I'm just really glad the Lord saw fit
04:58 to tell me I was coming here and then to work it out.
05:01 - I'm sure there's a story behind that.
05:04 - There is. (chuckles)
05:05 - Okay, well thank you for sharing
05:07 and I hope you have a blessed rest of your day here.
05:08 - Thank you very much, Natalie.
05:10 - All right, well let's come on out
05:11 and we'll meet some of the other new staff.
05:13 We will start right here.
05:16 - Hi.
05:17 - I know that you're recently joined here at Jesus for Asia,
05:20 and you just go back from a trip to Asia.
05:23 - Correct.
05:24 - And I know also that you have multiple names
05:26 that people call you in your life.
05:28 So I would like to know which name you're going by today.
05:31 - Augustine.
05:33 - Okay, Augustine, what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
05:36 - I am project manager working
05:39 with the various schools that operate in Asia.
05:43 We mainly work with Bible workers,
05:46 but in some areas, we've had schools, like for example,
05:52 in one place, there's three churches
05:54 that have been running school for 50 years
05:56 but struggling to improve it.
05:58 And so we've gotten involved in projects like that.
06:01 - Okay.
06:02 So you just recently got back from a trip to Asia, I know.
06:04 And do you have anything you'd like to share
06:06 that you're thankful for since you started
06:09 working here at Jesus for Asia?
06:11 - Just to interact with so many dedicated teachers
06:13 and school principals who are guiding the young people
06:17 in their countries to a relationship with Christ
06:20 and working so hard to expand it
06:22 to accommodate more students.
06:23 - Hmm.
06:24 Well praise the Lord.
06:25 Thank you for sharing.
06:26 - Thank you.
06:28 - All right, let's move to the next cubicle
06:29 and we will meet Augustine's wife, Julie.
06:35 Julie, what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
06:37 - I maintain the website and manage the social media.
06:42 - Do you have something you'd like to share
06:43 that you're thankful for?
06:45 - God moved our family here to work with Jesus for Asia
06:48 this past summer.
06:50 And I'm just so thankful
06:52 to have a part in reaching the unreached for Jesus.
06:55 - [Natalie] Awesome.
06:56 Well thank you for sharing.
06:57 - Thank you.
06:58 All right, let's go past my office
07:00 'cause I'm not in there obviously.
07:02 This is my office.
07:03 It's very full of things.
07:05 This is Jon's office, the president's office.
07:08 And hello, dear.
07:10 - Hi darling.
07:10 How are you today?
07:11 - Good.
07:12 We're saying hello again to you.
07:13 - Yes. Yeah.
07:14 - And so- - Been working away.
07:16 - Have you? - Yeah.
07:18 - Okay, good. - Getting a lot done.
07:19 - Looks like you're editing a "Jesus for Asia Now" show.
07:22 - Yeah, this is a story of one of our Bible workers
07:25 in the Philippines that through prayer and faith,
07:28 raised his father from the dead who was dead
07:30 for 11 or 12 hours.
07:32 - Wow.
07:33 - So it's pretty exciting.
07:34 - All right, well we'll be looking forward to that show.
07:36 - Yeah. (chuckles)
07:37 - Okay.
07:38 So do you have something you'd like to share
07:39 with us today that you're thankful for?
07:40 - I'm thankful for a wife.
07:42 We married 33 years and we work together
07:45 and God allows us to work together
07:47 and spend a lot of time together.
07:49 And so I'm thankful for that.
07:51 Other blessings, man, the list is so long.
07:55 The main blessing
07:56 is that he's given us a vision and a purpose.
07:58 You know, he is given us a reason to exist
08:01 and he's given us a goal.
08:02 And so we see the world falling apart around us,
08:04 and yet we have a mission that is stronger than death itself
08:09 because we know that when we die, we just sleep
08:11 in Christ and then we rise from the dead.
08:14 And so that hope, you know, blocks us
08:17 or creates a barrier against the fear
08:19 that tries to take over.
08:21 And God's given us a vision to reach Asia, you know.
08:25 90% of all unreached people groups live in Asia.
08:27 Over half the world lives in Asia.
08:30 And God has a heart for every single one of those people.
08:32 And so that purpose, that passion that gives us
08:36 that reason to live, gives us a reason
08:38 to wake up in the morning, to keep working for him,
08:40 keep serving him, and put everything
08:42 into what he's called us to do.
08:44 And so we've seen other people get on board with God's cause
08:49 and I see the happiness in their lives.
08:51 And so I guess that's what I'm most thankful for,
08:53 is that the joy that we found in his service
08:56 is not just for us, it's for anybody that gets involved
08:59 and gives 100% to the Lord.
09:02 I see that same joy and that same purpose
09:04 and that same meaning entering into their lives.
09:06 And so I can think of people right off the top of my head
09:09 that I can look in their faces
09:11 and they say thank you.
09:14 Thank you to the Lord
09:15 for giving me a purpose and reason to live.
09:18 - Yeah. - Yeah.
09:19 - So today, we do have something special
09:21 that we wanna share.
09:22 - Yes.
09:22 - And what is that?
09:24 - Well, just recently, a friend of ours felt impressed.
09:27 He and his wife prayed about it
09:28 and offered up a $250,000 matching grant.
09:33 So from now to the end of the year,
09:35 if somebody donates $10, then that equals $20
09:39 for God's kingdom.
09:41 - Right.
09:42 - And so it doubles their investment.
09:44 And we like to look at it as an investment.
09:46 Because according to Matthew 25, when you give
09:49 to the Lord, you're investing in your future
09:52 and Luke 16:9, and all kinds of stuff,
09:55 but you're investing in your own future.
09:56 You're investing in the eternity
09:58 that you're gonna spend in heaven.
09:59 Having more friends,
10:01 having more people to that say,
10:02 "Hey, it's because of you that I'm here.
10:05 And that's gonna be really precious.
10:07 - Right.
10:08 So in order to be matched, the donations
10:11 need to be marked for where needed most.
10:14 And why is that?
10:15 - Well, when you give to where needed most,
10:17 that actually supports all the projects.
10:20 So when you market where needed most,
10:23 then a lot of times, certain projects, missionaries
10:27 or Bible workers or even evening schools,
10:29 they don't get the full funding that month.
10:32 And so where needed most allows us to fill in the gaps.
10:35 So there isn't a break in, lets say for instance,
10:38 the children getting food or a missionary going
10:42 and not able to get make it through the month.
10:45 Some projects don't get enough funding ever.
10:49 And so where needed most goes to supply their need.
10:52 And they're strategic projects
10:54 but they don't look so good on camera, for instance.
10:57 And so they don't get as much funding.
10:59 But man, we cannot imagine not having them.
11:03 - And most of those are media unfortunately.
11:06 Most of those are media.
11:07 - Yeah, but they're media into other languages.
11:09 And so we don't see them, you know?
11:11 And we forget about them.
11:12 They seem expensive.
11:14 - And it's hard to see results of media
11:15 because you know, media goes out
11:17 and you're not necessarily there to be able
11:19 to capture the story of conversion
11:21 or the story of a life changed
11:23 or you know, whatever God's doing
11:25 as a result of the media,
11:26 - Especially in Indonesia,
11:28 when there's spread across 17,000 islands.
11:30 - Right.
11:32 Some of those stories we're never gonna hear till heaven.
11:33 - Till heaven.
11:33 But when we get to heaven,
11:34 - Yeah. Awesome.
11:35 - We will hear some stories.
11:37 And so that's the purpose of where needed most.
11:40 And also we're needed most allows Jesus just to continue
11:44 and to organize all the projects, keep tabs
11:47 on where the money is spent and if it's spent properly.
11:50 And to then also, you know, God's given us the vision,
11:54 not just to manage, but to envision.
11:58 You know, what's it gonna take to reach Asia?
12:00 You got 3 billion people that don't have access
12:03 to the gospel.
12:04 3 billion people.
12:05 How are you gonna reach that?
12:07 How are you gonna manage that?
12:08 I don't know.
12:10 But to be able to see God's leading
12:13 and then follow that leading in the moment as he leads us,
12:18 that's really what God's called us to do.
12:20 Because we could keep doing this for another 600 years
12:23 and not be much closer than where we are to Jesus coming.
12:29 We have to find ways to accelerate the gospel going to Asia.
12:34 And to the world.
12:35 - Jesus is coming soon,
12:36 - Very soon.
12:37 - We don't know the day or the hour, but we know it soon.
12:39 - Well, I have a theory that according to Matthew 24:14,
12:43 that the world will continue to get worse and worse
12:46 and worse until the gospel is preached to the whole world.
12:49 Now there's some tools that are massive
12:51 and cover the whole world,
12:53 but there's many languages
12:54 that still don't have access to the gospel.
12:56 And so it's those languages and the boots on the ground
12:59 and meeting people that know Jesus.
13:01 We've met people that never heard the name of Jesus.
13:04 And there's millions, billions out there like that.
13:07 And so that's our commission, that's our calling.
13:10 And that's what I'm thankful for
13:11 because God's preserved us these unreached people groups
13:15 for this generation.
13:16 To give us that joy of seeing souls say for the kingdom.
13:21 - All right, well thank you for sharing
13:22 with us about the matching grant
13:24 and what you're thankful for.
13:26 There were several things there.
13:27 - Yep.
13:28 - So we will see you again.
13:30 - Okay. - All right.
13:31 - Sounds good.
13:32 - Goodbye. - Bye.
13:33 - So let's go in and meet Sharon.
13:37 Hello, Sharon.
13:38 - Hello.
13:39 - So how long have you worked here at Jesus for Asia?
13:42 - I've worked here since 2018, so over six years.
13:46 - Wow. Okay.
13:48 And what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
13:51 - So I have two roles.
13:53 One is the office manager here
13:55 and the other is a project manager
13:57 for various projects like evening schools for one.
14:01 - Okay
14:02 And I bet you enjoy that part.
14:04 - Oh yes.
14:04 - All the children. - I do.
14:06 - They're so cute.
14:07 - They're so cute.
14:08 - And they sing with all of their bodies, you know.
14:11 They love it.
14:12 - Yeah, they're very, very expressive.
14:15 And joyful.
14:16 - Yes.
14:17 - Okay, so what are you thankful for?
14:18 - What I'm thankful for are the evening schools actually,
14:21 because it is a joy to get the stories there
14:24 and hear how children
14:27 who have come from very difficult backgrounds meet Jesus,
14:33 fall in love with him, go home and tell their parents,
14:36 and then their families become baptized
14:38 as a result of the school.
14:40 And so it's a joy to see them praying
14:43 and singing and sharing.
14:44 And that is a joy.
14:46 And I would love more evening schools.
14:48 That's my Christmas wishlist is more evening schools.
14:53 - All right, well thank you for sharing.
14:54 - You're welcome.
14:56 - We will be praying for more evening schools.
14:56 - Yes, yes.
14:57 Thank you.
14:58 - All right.
14:59 - Okay, bye. - Bye.
15:01 And we will come and we will meet Hannah.
15:04 Hello, Hannah.
15:05 - Hi.
15:06 - How long have you worked here at Jesus for Asia?
15:08 - It's been a little over five years now.
15:10 - Okay. Wow.
15:11 And what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
15:13 - I help to write and edit stories from the mission field
15:18 that we use in our newsletters
15:19 and magazines and stuff like that.
15:21 - Yeah, I know you write the email newsletter
15:23 and a number of different stories.
15:25 And then you help help to make sure things flow, right?
15:27 And we have everything in order
15:29 for the magazines and things.
15:31 So do you have something to share that you're thankful for
15:34 from this year?
15:34 - Yes, I do.
15:36 I'm really excited
15:37 and thankful for all of the new people
15:39 that God has brought an answer to prayer,
15:42 because rather than just having me doing marketing
15:45 and communications, we have a team now
15:47 and that's really exciting.
15:49 - That's helped a lot.
15:50 - Yes.
15:51 - Yeah, it makes it easier to get things out more often
15:53 and less weight on you, I know.
15:56 All right, well thank you for sharing today.
15:57 - Yes.
15:58 - All right, bye-bye.
16:02 So we're coming into the rest of the cubicle area
16:07 and we have Cameron here.
16:09 - Hi.
16:10 - So Cameron, how long have you been here at Jesus for Asia?
16:12 - About three months.
16:13 - So what do you do here at Jesus for Asia?
16:15 - So I've done video editing
16:17 and I'm also kind of leading a social media campaign
16:21 of making more content about the mission work
16:24 and getting the message out there basically
16:26 so that more people from North America can spread out
16:29 and be the salt of the earth.
16:30 That's the goal.
16:31 - All right, do you have something
16:32 that you've experienced while you've been here
16:34 that you're thankful for?
16:36 - Mainly it's just, I absolutely love working here
16:40 with all of these wonderful people.
16:42 It's just really, really nice.
16:45 I love all of the prayer
16:47 and just working with a bunch of people
16:50 who have the same mission and care deeply about missions,
16:53 it's really meaningful.
16:54 - Awesome.
16:55 All right, well thank you for sharing.
16:56 - Yeah, no problem.
16:57 - Okay, we're gonna go on down into our cubicle area
17:01 and talk about a few people who aren't here at the moment.
17:04 So we have another desk here that's used
17:07 for the missionary support for when Veronica needs
17:10 to work solely on that and not be distracted by accounting.
17:14 And then we have a volunteer named Michael who works here.
17:17 He's helping with our church renovation
17:21 and church buildings.
17:22 And he's actually currently on a trip in Asia as well.
17:26 And then we have Pastor Chris Donavan's desk.
17:28 And Pastor Chris is Heidi's husband who we met earlier.
17:31 Pastor Chris is currently on a trip in Asia as well.
17:35 And he is in charge of our Bible worker program
17:37 and our Bible worker training program.
17:39 So he is been doing bible worker training
17:42 in a number of different areas over there.
17:43 And then we have one empty cubicle that God has preserved
17:47 for someone who's not here yet.
17:50 Okay, and then the next thing
17:52 on our tour here is our prayer lounge.
17:56 We have morning worship and prayer together here
17:59 every day as a team.
18:01 So far we fit in this space.
18:03 A few times, we've had people on the floor,
18:05 but we just gather and study something from God's word
18:09 or from the writings of Ellen White together.
18:12 And then we have prayer time.
18:14 And it's kind of fun.
18:16 We have the little vase there.
18:18 The big vase actually has promises that were given to us
18:22 during faith camp here that last summer.
18:25 They had the young people go through
18:26 and write down some of the texts
18:28 for their favorite promises.
18:29 So every day we pull a promise.
18:31 So then we go in here around the corner.
18:34 And this is where we have our marketing meetings,
18:38 our event planning meetings.
18:40 And you can see on the board here, we've got a number
18:43 of different things in the works.
18:45 So we're doing a lot of praying right now
18:47 that God will work out the right dates at the right places
18:50 and that he will lead and guide us
18:51 to where our team is supposed to be this coming summer.
18:54 So then as we keep going,
18:57 we will go down our back hallway
19:01 and this is our event team office, Christina's office.
19:04 And she is our event team coordinator as well as our cook
19:09 for the faith camps and other events here.
19:12 And now, we're going into the media area of the building.
19:16 This is the editing area.
19:18 And right here we have a IT closet
19:21 where we're streaming Mission TV.
19:24 And so if you've ever watched Mission TV, missiontv.com,
19:28 it's on the mySDAtv box
19:29 and on Roku also, you can find
19:32 what we're streaming live from here.
19:34 And then as we continue through,
19:36 we've got four editing rooms here.
19:38 And we'll go to this furthest one
19:40 and as we go around the corner, we will find Jon again.
19:46 This is what we have to do when we wanna look for Jon.
19:48 We go from office to office, this is where he normally is
19:51 or this is where he normally is and we go
19:53 and we look and he is not there.
19:54 So we check the next office.
19:55 So what do you do in this office?
19:57 - Okay, so this is my editing office.
19:59 This is my only five-year-old computer
20:01 that is a little bit faster than my 8-year-old computer
20:04 in the other office.
20:05 So this is where I come to edit.
20:07 And right now, I'm working on a show
20:09 that is gonna be talking about all the closed churches
20:12 that are in India that we're trying to reopen again.
20:14 - So what are you thankful for in this office?
20:16 - Well, I'm thankful that this office is one of four
20:20 and we have two or three editors.
20:23 We've got Eric who is not here right now,
20:25 he's helping in a different location,
20:28 but he's helping with editing.
20:29 And then we've have Michael, who you'll see in a moment.
20:32 He's also helping with editing.
20:34 And I'm thankful that the Lord
20:36 is going to provide us with more computers
20:39 that we can have more editors
20:40 because we're only about six months
20:42 behind at our editing schedule.
20:44 - [Natalie] Wow.
20:45 - So I'm really thankful for this grant
20:47 that's coming up because it's gonna allow us
20:49 to replace our four or five, 6-year-old computers
20:52 and be able to produce the shows much quicker.
20:56 - All right, well thank you for sharing.
20:57 - Yeah.
20:59 - So the Eric that Jon mentioned
21:01 that does editing works right here and he's not here today.
21:05 He's on another site helping with something else.
21:09 So we will come down the hallway here.
21:13 On the right is the back door to the kitchen.
21:15 And then this one is the studio
21:18 where our "Jesus for Asia Now" set will be going.
21:21 Hopefully soon.
21:23 As you can see, they started putting in the lighting grid
21:25 and we have lighting that needs to be put up
21:28 and then we have to move the whole set.
21:30 So we're looking forward
21:32 to having the "Jesus for Asia Now" set here in the office.
21:37 And then here as we come down the hallway,
21:39 we come into our control room and we find Michael,
21:45 Michael works here part-time.
21:47 And Michael, how long have you worked
21:48 here at Jesus for Asia?
21:49 - I've worked here since August.
21:51 - Okay, and what do you do?
21:53 - I do video editing.
21:55 Currently, I'm editing faith camps.
21:58 - Okay.
21:59 All right, that's cool.
22:00 Do you have something that you'd like to share
22:02 with us today that you're thankful for?
22:04 - Well, I am thankful for all the opportunities I've had
22:07 with Jesus for Asia to exercise faith
22:10 and learn more about faith and develop my faith.
22:14 I'm also very thankful that there's this room here,
22:16 it's for audio recording, but I've been using it
22:18 as a little prayer room and it's been a great blessing
22:21 to have a separate space to pray.
22:23 - Awesome. Awesome.
22:25 So what else happens in the control room?
22:27 Can you share that with us or?
22:29 - So in the control room, we also live stream meetings
22:33 that happen in the meeting room.
22:36 - Okay.
22:37 So the reason that Michael edits in the control room
22:39 is that we don't have enough editing computers
22:42 for all the editing suites that we saw earlier
22:45 to be outfitted properly.
22:46 And so once we are able to afford more computers,
22:49 then he will have his own editing office
22:52 and he won't have to edit in the control room every time.
22:55 Okay, and then we continue down the hallway.
22:59 So let's go in the other studio and oh, we found Jon again.
23:03 - Now I don't normally work in here, I'm just a placeholder.
23:08 But a pastor who speaks Russian comes in here
23:11 and does programming in Russian
23:13 and he has like 60, 70,000 followers.
23:17 And that's part of Asia.
23:19 The eastern part of Russia
23:20 is actually part of Asia, so it's legal.
23:24 So the reason I'm thankful for this place
23:25 is that just this one little room is reaching 50,
23:29 60,000 people plus in Asia.
23:33 And so that's exciting,
23:34 and a lot of people are coming to truth.
23:36 - Okay.
23:38 And we can also use this for other shows at some point.
23:42 - This will be our multimedia multipurpose studio.
23:46 So we'll have a different set maybe with backgrounds,
23:49 different backgrounds we can pull down
23:51 and swap out really quickly
23:52 - [Natalie] Or something, yeah.
23:53 - Yeah.
23:54 Eventually, we'd like to have a video wall in here
23:56 that we could just really quickly
23:57 get a different background.
23:59 So we're praying about that too.
24:00 - All right, well thank you.
24:02 Bye-Bye.
24:05 We are back at the reception area
24:08 and we will go into what we call the prayer hall.
24:14 And this is where we host faith camp
24:17 and other special meetings.
24:18 We have weeks of prayer that we do here
24:21 and we live stream
24:22 as we talked about earlier in the control room.
24:25 And you can see the cameras are set up
24:27 and we see Jon again.
24:29 - Hi.
24:31 - Many times when meetings are going on,
24:32 you'll see Jon sitting here running audio and things.
24:35 And do you have something you're thankful for
24:37 regarding this room?
24:38 - The meetings that have been held in the last year
24:41 since this building was built have been so powerful
24:44 and so tremendous that just this room alone
24:48 is worth the entire building.
24:50 - Yeah, 'cause lives have been changed.
24:52 - Absolutely.
24:53 - Because of what God has done in this room.
24:54 - Yeah, it's just been tremendous.
24:56 - [Natalie] So yeah, we're so for it, yeah.
24:57 - So sometimes I'm up there, sometimes I'm back here.
25:00 I like it back here.
25:02 - So as we go up front, Jon will meet us up front.
25:06 But let's look right here.
25:07 This is our prayer area in our prayer hall.
25:10 We have a special rug and we have pillows.
25:13 Many times, we invite people
25:14 for special times of prayer here.
25:16 And so we gather in this section
25:18 and if we need it enlarged,
25:19 we can obviously pull chairs and enlarge it.
25:22 But it's a special place where even sometimes
25:25 during the day, I'll see people come
25:27 and pray in this section of the room.
25:29 So let's go ahead and go on to the front
25:32 and Jon will meet us up there.
25:36 - So darling, what are you thankful for in this room?
25:39 - In this room?
25:40 Wow.
25:41 I am thankful, like I said back there, I'm thankful
25:43 for the lives that God has changed through
25:46 what he has shared from different speakers here.
25:49 We've had a number of different speakers
25:51 and I'm just thankful that his word is going out
25:55 and that we have the ability to live stream
25:57 and people are watching the live streams
26:01 and then they're watching later on the YouTube channel.
26:04 And so I'm just really thankful to the Lord for that.
26:06 And this year, I'm especially thankful
26:08 that God has given us the ability
26:10 to move forward in so many ways.
26:12 Even while actually donations have been down this year,
26:16 quite a bit down, especially for a couple of key projects
26:20 like Bible workers and evening schools.
26:22 And so I'm just really thankful for the fact
26:24 that the Lord has given us enough
26:25 to keep going month by month.
26:27 I feel like we're like Tim Maddox,
26:29 we're having man a month and it's month after month
26:32 and many times, it's day after day.
26:34 He gives us exactly what we need for that day.
26:36 And so I'm really thankful for this matching grant.
26:39 That's gonna allow us to have a little bit of growth space,
26:43 but also to pay off some bills
26:45 that have been kind of hanging a little bit.
26:48 People have been patient with us.
26:49 - Yeah.
26:50 I like that term "growth space."
26:52 Yeah.
26:53 Is there any room for growth?
26:54 - That's one thing that I've learned
26:55 from the different prayer walking that we've done
26:57 and prayer walk trips that we've done
26:59 and even from our recent trip to Europe,
27:02 there's so many people everywhere that need Jesus.
27:06 And, you know, even inside our church,
27:10 our church members need a deeper walk with Jesus.
27:13 And outside the church, there's so much darkness.
27:16 There's so much, you know, casting about here and there
27:20 looking for something.
27:22 And they need the ability to find the truth.
27:24 - Absolutely.
27:25 - So I'm thankful, so thankful
27:26 that God has given us the opportunity
27:28 to be a part of sharing the truth.
27:30 - Amen.
27:31 - With the people out there.
27:32 - Amen.
27:33 Well said, love.
27:34 - All right, well I'd like to thank you for joining us
27:36 for this episode of "Jesus for Asia Now."
27:38 And may God bless you
27:39 and look around for things that you have to be thankful for.
27:43 And if the Lord is impressing you
27:44 to have your donation doubled, please mark it
27:46 for where needed most.
