00:21 - Hello and welcome to "Jesus for Asia Now." 00:24 I'm Natalie Wood, and I have my husband Jon 00:26 on the set with me today. 00:27 Hello, love. - Hi, darling. How are you? 00:29 - I'm doing well. - Good. 00:31 - So what are we doing? Where are we going today? 00:33 What are we gonna learn about? 00:35 - Well, we're gonna go back to India 00:37 and we're going to visit a project 00:39 that we started many years ago, 00:41 and it's gonna be exciting to see, 00:43 how effective it is. 00:46 - So this is TV Ministries? - Yes. 00:49 - So what does that entail? 00:50 - This is a really unique situation, 00:52 it's a really powerful situation 00:54 because it started out by us being invited 00:56 to go on a national channel. 00:58 - That's true. - There was a time slot. 01:00 And what was amazing about this, is that the TV channel 01:03 actually invited us to be in that slot. 01:06 - Yeah. And that's something that doesn't happen usually. 01:11 - No. And at the beginning we didn't have a camera, 01:13 we didn't have a studio, so they loaned us theirs. 01:16 - Yeah. 01:17 - So we started producing the show in their studio. 01:19 And then after some time they asked us, 01:21 "Hey, we've got other things. 01:22 "Can you please set up your own studio?" 01:25 And so that's when we started producing the shows 01:28 in the church itself. 01:29 - So something to note about this is that channel 01:33 has potential of 70 million viewers 01:36 - Yes. - [Natalie] For the show. 01:37 - Yes. - So that's really, really 01:40 an amazing, thing. Yeah - That's a lot of people. 01:41 - [Jon] Yeah. - And the best part was 01:44 on that first time, and we've told this story before, 01:46 but on that first time when he was invited to just take one, 01:52 he was out waiting afterward, and the phone rang 01:55 and no one was around, so he answered it 01:57 and it was somebody calling as a result 01:59 of watching the show. - Yes. 02:01 - And wanting more information. 02:02 And so it really confirmed that this was God's invitation, 02:06 not just the TV Channel. 02:07 - Absolutely. What's cool about this 02:09 is that it's more than just a television program going out. 02:13 There's also people that receive phone calls 02:16 and give Bible studies. 02:17 - Right. - And then connect the people 02:19 with the local church, if there is one. 02:22 - Right. So it's a whole ministry. 02:24 It's not just one part or the other. 02:26 - Exactly. 02:27 - And it's really been need to hear the stories, 02:29 because people do call. - Yes. 02:31 - They call for prayer, they call for Bible studies. 02:34 and the prayer warriors- - [Jon] They're amazing. 02:36 - That answer the phone, they're just amazing, so. 02:39 (Jon laughing) 02:40 - Yeah. And it's cool because when we travel 02:42 throughout Tamil Nadu, 02:44 we go to different churches and it's like, 02:46 there's a lot of people here. 02:47 And they'll, "Oh, that one's here because of the TV show. 02:49 "And that one's here because the TV show, 02:51 "and that family's here because of the TV show." 02:54 - Yeah. Well, we wanna do more than just talk about it. 02:56 So we wanna start seeing the videos that we have also. 02:59 So the first one is a tour of the studio, I believe. 03:02 - Yes. 03:03 - All right, let's watch that now. 03:06 (soft music) 03:16 - We were looking for a TV studio 03:19 to build for our thriving TV channel. 03:22 We are doing a show every single day, 03:24 half hour show every day. 03:26 And in order to film that show, 03:28 they would rearrange the pews inside the church here 03:31 and set up a green screen 03:33 and shoot it right there, 03:34 having to put it up and take it down every single time. 03:37 But we started looking for property 03:40 to build a studio, purpose built 03:42 so it'd have better acoustics and everything 03:44 and it was so expensive. 03:46 And then this church came forward and says, 03:48 "We would like to donate the roof of our church 03:51 "to your ministry." 03:53 And so for a very small sum of money, 03:56 we were gonna build the last half, the back half 03:59 of that into a studio. 04:01 And while we were at it, they says, 04:02 "You know, we have a lot of people here in Shanaya. 04:04 "It's a metropolitan city, a lot of people speak English, 04:08 "and we have a growing English church. 04:10 "Can you sponsor the rest of the roof 04:12 "to finish it off and do an English church?" 04:15 And we prayed and hemmed and hot, 04:16 and finally the Lord made it clear that we should. 04:19 And now the entire top floor of the church 04:22 is another church and studio and control room. 04:25 So would you like to see it? 04:27 Let's go upstairs. 04:28 (soft music) (footsteps thudding) 04:34 Okay. So let's go on inside the church here. 04:38 And now we're entering 04:40 the English church. 04:42 This is where the English speaking people come 04:45 and worship every Sabbath. 04:47 And you can see we've got air conditioning. 04:51 Right now this is the melting season. 04:54 We've called this the melting season, 04:55 but wasn't that long ago, when we were just standing here, 04:58 it was completely open, 05:00 no finish, no walls, no ceiling. 05:02 And we were just praying, 05:03 "Lord, please, we would like to build a studio here." 05:06 And then we'll go in here, 05:07 right behind this curtain, there's another door. 05:09 You can see, "Jesus for Asia" Studio, 05:12 we've set them up to be a typical recording scenario. 05:15 They've got a green screen in the back 05:17 that they'll remove during post editing. 05:20 This is a Brother Arun, and he is running camera 05:23 and Brother Israel, he's the main speaker 05:26 and the one that had this whole idea in the beginning, 05:28 he's the director of the JFA studios here 05:33 in South India. 05:34 We've got good lights, we've got good sound control, 05:37 we've got good AC. 05:39 So in here, this is our editing compartment 05:43 or our master control. 05:45 When we do a multi-camera event, 05:47 then they do the switching in here 05:49 but this is mainly for editing. 05:50 And Selvin is here, he's our main editor. 05:53 And you can see how he takes the background out of the shot, 05:58 takes the green away, 05:59 puts any background they want in there 06:02 to make it look very high quality. 06:04 Now, this is very humble studio 06:06 compared to some of the studios that we've seen 06:08 in other countries. 06:11 But what's amazing about this studio, 06:12 is even though it's a small studio, 06:14 it has a massive reach 06:16 throughout all of the Tamil speaking areas of the world, 06:19 especially here in Tamil Nadu. 06:21 And we're just really thankful and praising God 06:25 for what He has done, in the last few years. 06:28 (soft music) 06:30 - Every time I see that God has enabled 06:32 the tools to be better. - [Jon] Yes. 06:33 - It's just so inspiring. - [Jon] Yes. 06:35 - And encouraging. - Yeah. 06:37 And to see a team that's actually utilizing that 06:40 and making such a big impact with such a small investment. 06:43 - Right. And I know that one of them talks about it later, 06:46 but I do wanna say that they would love it 06:48 if we could give them more equipment, newer equipment. 06:51 - And now they're asking for a larger studio 06:53 so they can do like an interview 06:56 style program. 06:57 - A cooking show. - Yeah. 06:59 And we have the land now to build a larger studio, 07:02 and we're excited about that possibility. 07:05 - So we have an interview with our director. 07:07 - [Jon] Okay. 07:08 - So let's go ahead and watch that now. 07:09 - Okay. 07:10 I remember before we built the studio up here, 07:13 you were using the Tamil church downstairs. 07:15 - Yes. Yes. 07:16 (both laughing) 07:17 - [Jon] And every time you wanted to shoot, 07:18 you'd have to move the pews back. 07:19 - [Israel] Exactly. 07:20 - [Jon] Hang the green screen up. 07:21 - [Israel] Yeah. - [Jon] Set up the lights. 07:22 - [Israel] Yeah. - [Jon] And that was when 07:23 you had like one show per week, right? 07:26 - Right. - That would air on Tamilan TV 07:28 - Tamilan TV. 07:29 - And then what happened? 07:30 You started asking me for something, 07:32 a special time slot came up. 07:34 - Yes. You know, one show for a week, 07:37 which is just a half hour, we had so many people calling. 07:41 - [Jon] Wow. - You know, 07:42 so God inspired to ask for more, 07:45 in the morning, regularly, 07:47 every day. - Yeah. 07:47 Was it the 6:00-6:30? 07:49 - 5:30-6:00. 07:51 - 5:30-6:00 every morning. 07:52 - [Israel] Every morning. - Now in America, 07:54 that doesn't sound like a good time slot, but here in India. 07:56 - Oh yeah. That is the prime timing. 07:59 Because that is when people get up 08:01 and the ladies start cooking 08:03 and men, they start to prepare themself 08:06 for that daily work. 08:07 And children have to get up 08:09 and ladies, particularly, they will on the TV 08:13 and they'll be working and listening to the messages. 08:15 So that is a very, very prime time, actually. 08:19 So God opened that 08:21 and that was a amazing answer for the prayer. 08:24 - I remember you were begging me, 08:25 "Please, can we take this time slot?" 08:26 - [Director] Yes. - And I'm like, 08:27 I don't know if we can afford it. 08:28 That's so much money 08:30 and then you says, "Please, can we try?" 08:32 So I says, "Okay, try for one week." 08:34 - Yes. 08:35 - We'll let you do it for one week. 08:36 - Yes. Yeah. - And then that week, 08:38 you had a really memorable call. 08:41 - Yes. We had a call from a man 08:44 who said, "Everything was prepared, 08:46 "I was prepared to kill myself." 08:49 But that was a time, he doesn't know 08:51 how this program came on his TV 08:53 but exactly on that day, 08:56 the message was so appealing, like, 08:59 never give up. 09:00 You know, there is someone who loves you, 09:02 there is someone who cares for you. 09:05 And he was touched and he felt like 09:07 we need to call the number, which was rolling down, 09:10 twenty four seven, prayer call number. 09:15 And he called and he was connected with our prayer warriors. 09:18 Our prayer warriors are so wonderful, 09:21 when a call comes, it's not just a call for them, 09:24 they feel it as an opportunity 09:27 to share God's love. - Yeah. 09:29 - So they started praying with this man, 09:32 and he was really, really touched. 09:34 And they started sharing God's message and love 09:38 and he felt a difference. 09:41 So he gave up, you know, 09:42 - Gave up trying 09:43 to take his life? - Life. Yes. 09:45 - And then he asked your prayer warriors 09:48 if they could have a Bible study? 09:51 - Yes. 09:52 - Every day? - Every day. 09:53 - At what time? 09:54 - This man said, "I'm available in the morning, 09:56 "early morning at four." 09:58 They said, "No, no problem, we'll call you." 10:00 - And so, you called me. I'd never forget, 10:03 you called me on a video conference 10:06 and I saw you there, kind of like weeping 10:09 and you went on, you probably spent 10:11 a half hour telling me this story 10:12 over and over and over again, 10:14 showing me the pictures and everything. 10:15 And when I heard that story, 10:18 that if we hadn't done that one week trial 10:22 for the 5:30 AM. - Yes. 10:24 - Then that guy 10:26 probably would have died. - Would have died. 10:27 Without knowing Jesus. 10:28 - And so I'm like, "How much clearer can this be?" 10:30 - Exactly. 10:31 - And he says, yes, do it. 10:33 And so you've been daily on national television 10:36 since 2019. - 2019. 10:38 - Yeah. So God's been good. 10:39 And I think you probably have many other stories 10:42 about God's miraculous grace. - Yes. So many stories. 10:45 We have two prayer warriors, 10:47 and each have nearly about 180 Bible studies. 10:52 - [Don] Every week? 10:53 - Every week. - [Don] Wow. 10:53 - Every week. 10:54 - So 350, 360 10:56 Bible studies per week. - Yes. 10:58 - Coming out of this. 11:00 - God is really blessing. 11:01 - Praise the Lord. That's awesome. 11:03 Thank you for sharing 11:04 and praise God for the work that you're doing here. 11:06 - Thank you. 11:07 - Thank you. 11:08 - It just brings tears to my eyes 11:10 because thinking about the fact that 11:13 he would've died not knowing, 11:15 he would've been into eternity without an opportunity. 11:19 - Yeah. 11:20 - That just, ugh, that makes it all worth it. 11:22 - Yeah. Yeah. And how much clearer can you get? 11:25 You know, when you say, we'll do a trial 11:27 and then you save somebody's life. 11:29 - Yeah. - [Don] It's like, okay. 11:31 - God said yes. - [Jon] Yes. 11:32 - Very clearly, God said yes. 11:34 - And we won't really know how many people 11:36 are affected by this until we get to heaven. 11:38 - Right. 11:39 - But with 180 times two, 11:42 there's two prayer warriors. 11:43 - [Natalie] Right. - That are giving him 11:45 180 Bible studies per week out of this. 11:47 That's 360 Bible studies per week. 11:50 Anytime of day or night, 11:52 they will get up and have a Bible study, 11:54 'cause that's their love, their passion. 11:56 - [Natalie] Yep. - It's super cool. 11:58 - Yep. 11:59 - So the cost of the television 12:01 is more expensive than sponsoring a Bible worker. 12:04 But if you look at the cost per person that's reached, 12:08 - Yeah. 12:08 - This is much cheaper 12:10 than sponsoring Bible workers. 12:11 I did the calculation once, 12:13 and if you're looking at reaching 10 million people, 12:17 television is by far cheaper 12:19 than any other method. 12:20 - Right. So that was an interview with Israel, 12:23 our director in India, 12:24 and now we're gonna meet Selvin, 12:26 who is an editor for our studio there. 12:29 (soft music) 12:39 - First of all, I was searching for the job 12:40 after I completed my education. 12:44 I tried for a few years, 12:46 but I couldn't find a job that had Sabbath off. 12:49 So finally, I got a job as a claims processing executive 12:52 in medical billing. 12:55 They only gave me Sabbath off on alternate weeks, 12:57 the second and fourth weeks. 12:59 At first I thought this was okay, 13:01 since I at least had two sabbaths off. 13:04 So I continued in that job for nearly three years. 13:07 However, I felt very low in my heart 13:10 because I wasn't attending church every Sabbath. 13:14 I eventually decided to leave the company 13:16 and search again for a job that had every Sabbath off 13:20 so I could worship the Lord. 13:23 I tried but couldn't find one. 13:26 Eventually I became depressed and stopped searching. 13:30 But even though I didn't have work, 13:32 at least I was able to attend church every week 13:35 and that gave me some comfort. 13:36 (soft music) 13:39 One day, I got a chance to work 13:41 with one of my fellow church members 13:43 who was involved in photography and videography, 13:47 that's how I entered that field. 13:49 He focused only on Christian programs, 13:52 and I joined him in recording those events. 13:55 Even though I wasn't paid much, 13:57 I still felt blessed listening to the messages 13:59 and being part of the work. 14:01 During that time, I came to know about "Jesus for Asia" 14:04 and got the chance to work with them part-time. 14:07 After the COVID pandemic, 14:08 I was offered a full-time position. 14:11 Since then, the Lord has been wonderfully guiding me 14:14 through my work with "Jesus for Asia," 14:17 I've learned many important lessons, 14:19 especially that money is not the most important thing 14:22 in life. 14:23 I'm in charge of media here for "Jesus for Asia" 14:26 in Chennai. 14:27 I do videography, photography, 14:29 and I edit the videos for the TV ministry. 14:32 We shoot sermons and testimonies, 14:34 and whenever we get the chance, 14:36 we also film Christian songs. 14:39 Sometimes we record other content too. 14:41 We try to record as much as we can. 14:45 Right now, we are in need of some new batteries 14:47 for the camera, because our current batteries 14:50 don't last long when we go outdoors for a shoot. 14:53 Also, if possible, 14:55 having more cameras would be very helpful. 14:59 That way, we can capture different shots at the same time, 15:02 especially when we're doing outdoor interviews 15:04 or similar work. 15:05 Our current studio is good and we're doing our best with it. 15:09 But if God provides something bigger, 15:12 we could really take advantage of that opportunity 15:14 to improve our program quality. 15:17 Right now, we can only record interviews 15:19 with one person at a time. 15:22 If we had more space, it would allow us to record 15:24 with two or even more people at once, 15:27 which would be especially useful 15:29 for discussion style programs. 15:31 We're also planning to make videos 15:33 related to healthy cooking. 15:35 Health videos are very popular in India, 15:37 and we believe it's a great way to reach more people 15:40 and share the health message effectively. 15:43 For that kind of content, 15:44 having a bigger studio would really help us. 15:47 (soft music) 15:50 In the morning, our program is broadcast 15:52 on a channel called Tamilan TV, 15:55 which is broadcast across India 15:57 and in other countries, like Malaysia. 16:00 This isn't a religious channel 16:02 because if it were, only Christians would watch. 16:05 Instead, it's a general channel that many people watch, 16:09 including Hindus and others. 16:11 So it's a rare opportunity to reach a broader audience, 16:14 not just Christians. 16:17 Through the TV ministry, I've heard many testimonies. 16:22 Because of our work, I've heard of many people 16:24 being healed and delivered. 16:27 Hearing these testimonies motivates me to work even harder. 16:30 Sometimes, it feels like I'm part of their stories, 16:34 it strengthens my faith and keeps me moving forward. 16:37 (soft music) 16:38 I feel really happy that I became part of "Jesus for Asia." 16:43 Earlier I mentioned feeling depressed 16:44 because I didn't have a job. 16:46 This ministry helped me overcome that depression 16:49 and I truly feel satisfied with the work I'm doing now. 16:52 (soft music) 16:59 - We're very thankful for Selvin. 17:00 - Yes. - You know, he's not doing it 17:02 just as a job. 17:03 His heart's in it. 17:04 - Yeah. 17:05 - And his job that he had before was a very high paying job. 17:08 And now he's taking a job that is survival rates. 17:11 - [Natalie] Yeah. - But he's happy in his heart. 17:14 - Right. I love how he said, 17:15 "I feel like I'm part of their stories. 17:17 "When I hear the stories, I feel like I'm part of it." 17:19 And it's true, because without every single person 17:22 on that team, it would not happen. 17:25 - No. So it really makes me want to, 17:27 say, "What do you guys need? 17:29 "You need more cameras?" 17:30 'Cause the cameras that they're using now, 17:32 they're used off, eBay, 17:34 have a really- - I remember we bought them 17:35 a number of years ago. 17:36 - Uh-huh. And they have really good image. 17:38 They're doing great. 17:40 But to give them better equipment and a larger studio 17:43 and they're doing really good video, 17:46 the quality is very good for their skillset. 17:49 They're not afraid of trying new things, 17:50 and they're very good attention to detail. 17:52 And I've been there and watched them work 17:55 and seen their work and it's like, 17:56 "Yeah, you guys are doing a great job." 17:58 - Yeah. - You know. 17:59 I wouldn't be ashamed to show that here in America, 18:02 except the language. 18:03 - Yeah. People wouldn't understand a word they're saying. 18:05 (Jon chuckles) 18:07 But yeah, it would be nice to be able to enable them. 18:08 - [Jon] Yeah. - To do even more. 18:10 - Yeah. To get more viewership 18:11 - [Natalie] Because we know they would. 18:12 - Absolutely. Yeah. 18:13 Get more viewership and get more impact. 18:16 - Yeah. 18:17 - And teach more variety of things. 18:19 - Right. - You know. 18:20 Because the three angel's message 18:21 is not just the gospel, 18:23 it's the gospel in how it looks 18:26 in your different aspects of life. 18:28 - [Natalie] Right. - [Jon] So your food. 18:29 - Lifestyle. Yeah. - Yeah. 18:30 All these different things that they could. 18:31 - It affects every part of our lives. 18:33 - [Jon] Absolutely. Yeah. 18:35 - All right. Well we have another video with Arun 18:38 who also works at the TV studio. 18:40 - [Jon] Okay. 18:41 (soft music) 18:52 (Arun speaking in foreign language) 18:56 - I used to work as a driver, 18:58 my job provided a good salary, 19:00 but I was focused on worldly things, 19:02 enjoying the money I earned, 19:04 and living for myself. 19:06 During the COVID-19 pandemic, 19:08 I didn't have work and had to return home. 19:11 During that time, Bible workers visited our house, 19:14 including Mr. Peru Maraj, who gave me Bible studies. 19:19 I was deeply moved by the spiritual messages he shared. 19:22 He taught me that we should dedicate our lives to God's work 19:25 rather than focus on worldly things. 19:28 His encouragement and inspiration led me to join 19:31 a medical ministry training program at Jeeva Jyothi. 19:34 I enrolled in the one year program 19:36 and completed my studies there. 19:39 While I was there, I accepted Jesus Christ 19:41 as my personal savior. 19:43 (soft music) (cars hooting) 19:50 After I returned home, Elder Peru Maraj, 19:53 the JFA Bible worker, who had given me Bible studies, 19:57 asked me if I could help drive the van 19:59 for a group from JFA for a week. 20:02 That experience introduced me to "Jesus for Asia." 20:05 During that time, Israel Prasad asked me, 20:07 "Can you please join "Jesus for Asia" 20:09 "and become a full-time JFA worker?" 20:13 I told him, "I'll pray about it." 20:15 I also asked him, "Can you please pray for me 20:17 "to know if God is truly calling me to this ministry?" 20:21 So we both prayed, and after that, I accepted the call. 20:24 (soft music) 20:27 After joining "Jesus for Asia," 20:29 I have a completely new experience. 20:32 Every day has been a learning journey, 20:34 I've been learning how to shoot and edit video 20:36 to help Selvin. 20:38 As I have listened to the messages, 20:40 they touched me deeply and inspired me even more. 20:43 I can now see the vast difference 20:45 between my past worldly life and my life with God today. 20:49 Even though I don't earn as much as I did before, 20:52 I experience God's blessings every day. 20:54 (congregation singing in foreign language) 21:26 Now as I care for the Red Hills Church, 21:28 I feel very blessed, 21:30 when I preach and see how people are encouraged 21:33 and blessed by the messages God gives through me, 21:36 I continue to grow. 21:37 It is a blessed experience every day for me. 21:41 I thank God for leading me to "Jesus for Asia," 21:44 and I am enjoying my ministry here. 21:46 My aim is to continue allowing God to lead me, 21:49 in the future I pray that He will mold me even more 21:53 so that I can reach and witness to many more people. 21:56 (soft music) 22:02 - Isn't that awesome? 22:04 - That is awesome. 22:04 And I just wanted to note 22:06 that he is working as a Bible worker as well. 22:09 - Yes. 22:11 - Taking care of the local church there at Red Hills. 22:13 - Yeah. So he's helping with the shooting, 22:14 helping with the studio, 22:15 and taking care of that little church, 22:17 which by the way, that little church, 22:19 that's the Iron Little church 22:22 that's normally packed out. 22:25 People are standing in the street 22:26 and we are praying for a new church for that location. 22:30 - Right, right, for sure. 22:32 So the last video we have, is you interviewing Israel 22:35 with some testimonies. 22:36 - Nice. 22:38 So Israel, one of your favorite stories 22:41 is a story about a family that the mother was an invalid 22:47 getting ready to give birth. 22:48 She's out in the middle of a place 22:50 where there was no Adventist Church, Adventist pastor. 22:53 Tell us that story. 22:54 - Yeah. This happened in Thanjavur, 22:57 and she was partially paralyzed. 23:00 She could not walk, she could not stand 23:01 and this was the lady who called us for prayer 23:08 because they were in a big debt. 23:10 Her husband borrowed money from everywhere. 23:13 And people started coming home and scolding them 23:16 and threatening them. 23:17 And they said, you got to, you know, 23:20 come as work as a slave. 23:22 And this lady was broken 23:24 and that was the time she saw the TV program. 23:27 And she called the numbers, which were rolling down 23:29 and then she was connected with our prayer warriors. 23:33 And they started telling her that God is there. 23:37 God can deliver you from any kind of problem 23:41 if you have faith in Him. 23:42 By God's grace, she accepted Jesus 23:45 and she could feel the changes in her life, 23:48 in her physical thing. - [Jon] In her body. 23:51 - In her body. 23:52 And then she was trying to tell and convince her husband, 23:55 but he was not willing to. 23:56 Because she comes from a very strong Hindu background. 23:59 She had so many idols in her house. 24:03 It's a very poor house. - Mm. 24:04 - And that is when, you know, the doctor said, 24:06 "If you get another child, you will die." 24:09 - Mm. 24:10 - Your physical condition is like that. 24:12 - And she's pregnant? 24:13 - She's pregnant. - [Jon] Wow. 24:14 - And she didn't want to go to the hospital place. 24:16 She cannot go to a hospital 24:17 because her husband was not helping. 24:19 He was into drugs 24:21 and drinking alcohol- - [Jon] Alcohol. 24:22 - And never gives any money. 24:24 But that boy helped his own mother 24:28 to deliver a girl child. 24:30 - [Jon] Wow. 24:30 And she survived? 24:31 - She survived. 24:32 (baby crying) (soft music) 24:41 By the grace of God, her husband, 24:44 who was not willing to accept Jesus Christ, 24:47 he started to pray along with her. 24:49 - [Jon] Really? 24:50 - After seeing the changes in her, you know, physical 24:53 and those people who were coming and scolding them 24:55 because they couldn't pay the money back, 24:58 slowly people were not coming. 25:00 She was surprised what is happening, 25:02 we never gave out the money, we never paid the debt, 25:05 but no one is here to scold us. 25:06 And that man saw what was happening. 25:08 He gave up drinking. - [Jon] Wow! 25:10 - He gave up smoking 25:12 and he started loving the family. 25:14 - [Jon] Wow! 25:15 And then he got baptized? 25:16 - [Israel] Yes. He got baptized. 25:18 - [Jon] She got baptized? 25:19 - [Israel] She got baptized. 25:20 - [Don] The boy got baptized. 25:21 - [Israel] Yes. And by the grace of God, now 25:24 that boy is studying in Spicer Memorial College 25:27 in a theology department 25:29 and he's going to be a pastor. 25:31 - Wow! 25:32 And this is all in a place where there is no church around. 25:34 - No church at all. 25:35 - So the only way they could learn about Jesus 25:37 was through this- 25:39 - [Israel] Television program - Television program. 25:40 That gives you a lot of joy, doesn't it? 25:42 - Yes. Yeah. 25:43 Because God is doing amazing thing. 25:46 - Amen. Amen. 25:47 - Through this half hour program. 25:49 - [Jon] Yeah. 25:50 - Changing many hearts. 25:51 - Praise God. Praise God. 25:53 Well, there's a lot more opportunities out there also. 25:55 - [Israel] Yes. 25:57 - You are also broadcasting in a small cable network. 26:00 - [Israel] Right. 26:01 - [Don] In Valparai. - [Israel] In Valparai. 26:03 - [Don] It's a small town up in the tea plantations. 26:05 - [Israel] Right. 26:06 - [Don] And how much does that cost every month? 26:07 - [Israel] 7,000 Rupees. 26:08 - So less than a hundred dollars a month. 26:10 - Yes. 26:12 - You get a full hour per day. - Per day. Two hours. 26:13 - [Don] Two hours. - Morning, one hour, 26:15 evening, one hour. 26:16 - So what we're hoping to do 26:18 is find other small cable networks like that. 26:21 - In other cities. 26:22 - In other cities and villages 26:23 because the church, Valparai now 26:25 - [Israel] Yes. 26:26 - [Don] They're asking for a bigger church. 26:27 - [Israel] Yeah. 26:28 - Because it's, (mouth blowing) 26:29 - People started standing in the road. 26:32 And the church is not enough now. 26:35 - Yeah. - To accommodate the people. 26:37 - And so this is a very good investment for the kingdom. 26:40 Is this show. 26:42 - There are so many people now, 26:45 attending churches because of this program. 26:47 - That's right. Praise God. 26:48 - Praise the Lord. - Praise God. 26:51 - That's so awesome. - Uh-huh. 26:52 - I just love it. 26:54 And it so illustrates the power of prayer, 26:57 asking God what we should do and following where He leads, 27:00 how He opens doors. - [Jon] Yes. 27:02 - And it's just, yeah. I love it. 27:04 And knowing, I mean, I've been there 27:06 to that church in Valparai and they had stand up everybody 27:10 and this was not like this year, this was a while ago. 27:16 And they had everybody stand up that had come 27:17 because of the TV program. 27:19 And there were so many people. 27:20 - Yeah. 27:21 - And it's just so awesome. 27:22 - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And that's not just like, 27:24 you know, they come to the church, 27:26 it's their life is changing. - [Jon] Yes. 27:28 - And they learn and they come to the church. 27:29 - [Jon] Yeah. - And so it's just 27:31 such a huge, huge blessing. 27:33 - Yeah. This has been one of the most successful 27:36 as far as soul winning 27:39 of anything that we have done so far. 27:40 - Right.
