Yes, you do. 01:08 And we're so glad he's here. 01:10 And today, we are excited to welcome not one, 01:14 but two teams to our studio here today. 01:17 First of all, I'd like to invite 01:19 or introduce to you team number one, the Cardinals! 01:24 Yeah! 01:25 Let's welcome the Cardinals! 01:27 We are so excited the Cardinals are here. 01:29 And team number two, let's welcome the Eagles! 01:33 All right. 01:35 Good job, Eagles. 01:36 But last but not least, 01:38 we must not forget those who are home. 01:40 We welcome you today. 01:41 Let's give them a hand! 01:43 All right. 01:44 We're so glad you're here, 01:46 and we are excited 01:47 because we're going to dive into one, 01:50 another amazing story, 01:52 and then we're gonna play our Bible quiz 01:54 which we could not do without our three referees 01:57 who keep order in this place. 01:59 Please welcome Kaylee, Emily, and Grandma Tina! 02:04 All right. 02:05 We're so glad they're with us 02:07 and, Neto, I think we're ready to get started, 02:11 what do you say? 02:12 Can you tell us a story? 02:14 I would love to tell you a story, 02:15 I'm glad you asked. That's nice. 02:17 All right. 02:18 Today, kids, we're gonna tell you a story 02:21 that I think all of you know quite well, 02:24 but we're gonna take a look at it 02:25 'cause then you can be tested 02:26 and we're gonna see how well you know it. 02:28 There was a man. His name was Moses. 02:31 Oh. 02:32 You know the man named Moses, don't you? 02:34 Yes. 02:35 But I'm going to take you to a part of his life 02:37 when he was a shepherd, 02:39 a shepherd in the wilderness taking care of sheep. 02:43 He was in the wilderness 02:44 because he had to run away from Egypt. 02:48 You know why he had to run away from Egypt? 02:50 Because he killed an Egyptian. Yes, is she right? 02:53 Yes. That's right. That's right. 02:54 He killed an Egyptian, so he was scared for his life. 02:57 "I gotta get out of here." 02:58 So he ran off as quickly as possible 03:01 and ended up in the wilderness 03:03 where he met a family 03:05 and he began to take care of their sheep. 03:07 Well, years later, many years later, 03:10 God showed up, 03:12 and appeared to Moses and said, "Moses, Moses." 03:16 And Moses said, "Yes Lord." 03:18 And God said, "Moses, I need you, 03:22 I have chosen you to be the man 03:25 who will go into Egypt, and you're gonna deliver 03:29 My people, the Israelites from Egypt." 03:33 And Moses couldn't believe what he heard, 03:35 he couldn't believe it. 03:37 He basically said, 03:38 "But, but, but, but, Lord, who am I?" 03:40 But God chose Moses because Moses believed in God. 03:45 And so now we have Moses showing up to Egypt. 03:49 Can you imagine? 03:51 Yeah, wow! 03:52 After all that happened, he's gonna go back? 03:55 Can you imagine, after all that happened, 03:57 all the drama, Moses goes back to Egypt. 03:59 And guess what, Neto? I'm afraid for him. 04:01 But you know what? He wasn't afraid. 04:03 You know why? Why? 04:04 'Cause he had a sidekick just like I had my sidekick 04:07 and I'm not afraid of anything when Neto is with me. 04:10 Moses had a sidekick too. 04:13 And you know what Moses' sidekick's name was? 04:15 Mm-hmm. Aaron. 04:16 Aaron! 04:18 That's exactly right, Moses had a sidekick. 04:20 And so, Aaron was with Moses, they were not afraid. 04:23 And they showed up right in Pharaoh's courtyard. 04:27 Right there in front of Pharaoh, 04:28 face to face with Pharaoh. 04:31 And you know what, guys? 04:33 Moses was not afraid. 04:35 Moses was not afraid. 04:37 And he spoke to Pharaoh and said, "Let my people go!" 04:42 Say it with me; what did he say? 04:43 Let my people go!" 04:47 And did Pharaoh say, "All right, go!" 04:50 Did he say that? No! 04:51 Yeah. No, he did not. 04:53 He was pretty stubborn. 04:54 He did not wanna let his people go. 04:56 And it took several, several tries, 04:59 and God had to use some plagues to be able, 05:03 yeah, to be able to teach Pharaoh a lesson or two 05:07 about who is the most powerful mighty God. 05:11 God is greater than the gods of Egypt 05:14 and God was able after ten different plagues 05:18 to be able to deliver Israel from Egypt. 05:23 And now the Israelites found themselves 05:26 packing up and just leaving Egypt 05:29 as a mighty army marching down 05:32 the wilderness out of Egypt. 05:34 Everybody? Everybody? 05:35 Everybody, Neto, everybody. 05:36 The dogs, the cats, the chicken? 05:38 The dogs, the cats. 05:40 What other pets do you think the Israelites might have had? 05:43 Hmm. 05:47 Cattle. 05:48 The cattle. 05:49 Sheep. The sheep and horses. 05:51 Absolutely. Camels. 05:53 Can you imagine? How about camels? 05:54 You think camels? Mm-hmm. 05:56 Yeah, probably, probably. 05:58 What do you think over there? 05:59 Donkeys. Donkeys? 06:01 You said donkeys, she said donkeys. 06:03 Possibly. 06:05 Point is that they went with everything, 06:07 all these animals, out of Egypt. 06:10 And as they traveled down this wilderness, 06:12 they thought, "All right. 06:14 We're getting out of here. This is looking good!" 06:16 Until, uh-oh, they came to a big obstacle. 06:22 There was something right in front of them 06:25 that made them very, very nervous. 06:28 What do you think it was? The Red Sea. 06:30 Is she right, everyone? Yeah, the Red Sea. 06:33 The Red Sea. 06:34 The Red Sea was right in front of them. 06:37 But that wasn't all. 06:39 The Red sea was in front of them, 06:41 and guess what was coming behind them? 06:44 Let's see, Referee. Let's see what he has to say. 06:47 The Egyptians. Exactly! 06:49 The Egyptian army, guess what guys? 06:52 They changed their mind. 06:54 Pharaoh said, "Wait a minute. 06:56 Time out! 06:58 I don't wanna let my people go. 06:59 What was I thinking? 07:01 We gotta get those people back." 07:03 So he sent his army to go get them 07:05 and bring them back to Egypt. 07:07 So now the Israelites had the Red Sea 07:08 in front of them, the army behind them. 07:11 Now, they have something else on either side of them. 07:16 What was it? 07:17 On the sides, what do you think it was? 07:19 Referee, let's see what he has to say. 07:22 A pillar of fire. 07:23 Oh, the pillar of fire guided them. 07:25 That's right. 07:27 In the night, a pillar of fire, and during the day, 07:29 it was a pillar of, it was a cloud, 07:32 it was a cloud that led them during the day. 07:34 But what did they find? 07:36 What obstacle was on the sides 07:38 as they faced the Red Sea with the army behind them? 07:41 Let's see, Referee, let's see what she has to say. 07:43 Mountains. That's exactly right. 07:46 Mountains! Huge mountains! 07:49 Huge mountains! 07:50 So now, they have obstacles all the way around them. 07:53 Can you imagine? 07:55 They were so scared. 07:56 So that's when they came back. 07:58 So they just got all their stuff 08:01 and went back to Egypt. 08:02 But not quite, not exactly, Neto. 08:05 You know why? Why? 08:06 Because these people believed. They believed in God. 08:09 They said, "Our God can deliver us." 08:12 Moses, Moses was there, and he told the people, 08:15 "People, don't be afraid. 08:16 Remember, remember the ten plagues. 08:20 God can deliver us from this. 08:22 If He rescued us from Egypt, He will deliver us from this." 08:26 And so, Moses believed, the people began to believe. 08:29 And then Moses, 08:31 Moses stood up on this high rock, 08:34 and he had something on his hand. 08:36 Do you remember what that was? 08:37 He had something on his hand, let's see. 08:40 Let's see, Referee, 08:41 let' see what Amanda has to say. 08:43 A staff? A staff. 08:45 Is she right, everyone? Yes! 08:47 Exactly right. 08:49 He had a staff, and he raised that staff 08:52 and he offered a prayer, and he prayed, 08:54 "God, perform a mighty miracle 08:56 and part the waters." 08:58 And sure enough, can you believe 08:59 that as soon as he raised his rod, 09:01 the waters parted, 09:03 the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, 09:05 all the way across, hundreds, thousands of them 09:09 crossed the Red Sea. 09:10 It's a really pretty aquarium, huh? 09:13 They're looking one side, that's like stuff on one side, 09:16 stuff on the other side... 09:17 Gorgeous! That's really pretty, huh? 09:19 I mean, imagine that. I mean, wow! 09:21 Just like an aquarium. Wow! 09:25 I know. Can you imagine all this? 09:28 And then when they cross, and got to the other side, 09:31 God did something even more amazing. 09:34 The waters, now, keep in mind that 09:36 the Egyptians are crossing the Red Sea, 09:38 and now they're in the middle of this Red Sea, 09:42 and soon as the Israelites crossed, 09:44 what happened to the waters? 09:45 Yes. 09:46 Let's see what she has to say, angel. 09:48 They... What did the waters do? 09:51 They fell down. Oh my, you are right. 09:54 The waters came back together again, 09:56 and the Egyptian army was done, 10:00 they were all drowned in the sea, 10:02 and the Israelites were delivered 10:04 and after they crossed, 10:05 guess what the Israelites did? 10:06 Whoo! They had a party, Neto! 10:08 Do you like parties? Yeah. 10:10 Do you like parties? Yes! 10:12 Oh, boy, they had the greatest party, 10:14 they were rejoicing because God did it again. 10:17 He set them free. Wow! 10:19 So, boys and girls, we're gonna take a break now, 10:22 and when we come back from our break, 10:24 we're gonna dive right into the quiz 10:26 and we're gonna see how much you remember. 10:28 We'll see you soon. |
