No, no, no, no, no! 01:15 Neto. Neto. Neto! 01:17 Welcome, Neto. All right, say hi Neto. 01:19 Hi, Neto. Hi, Neto. 01:21 So tell us a little bit about yourself, Neto. 01:23 Well, when I was a little boy, 01:26 I always wanted to be on the program on TV. 01:30 And then I grew up and here I am 01:33 on a TV show with a B on the screen. 01:38 That's a pretty nifty looking B. 01:40 I like that B. 01:41 And it's Bible Buzz, 01:43 so we're gonna have some great fun. 01:44 Now are you ready? 01:46 Yeah! 01:47 All right. 01:48 Now those viewing from home, 01:50 Neto and I obviously are not here by ourselves, 01:53 we got some pretty exciting kids 01:55 here today with us, 01:56 and we have two teams. 01:57 I want to introduce you to our two teams. 01:59 Team number one, please welcome the Hawks. 02:03 Yeah, the Hawks! 02:06 Excellent. 02:07 And we also together with the Hawks, 02:10 we want to welcome the one and only Blue Jays. 02:14 All right, very good, very good. 02:18 And we have our three referees 02:20 who are gonna keep their eyes on you, 02:22 so that we're gonna have the most excellent time. 02:25 They're gonna keep things in order. 02:26 So, Neto, I think we're ready to begin. 02:29 What? What we're talking about today? 02:31 Oh, today, we're gonna look 02:34 at a very, very awesome story. 02:37 It goes, takes us back to the very beginning. 02:40 You see God the Creator 02:42 created the world in seven days. 02:45 And He created Adam and Eve, and He said, 02:47 "Oh, this is very, very good." 02:51 And that Garden of Eden, Neto, boy, 02:53 that Garden of Eden was one amazing place. 02:56 He imagined big trees, just big, big trees 03:00 with big juicy fruits. 03:03 I love fruit. Can you imagine? 03:05 Yeah. Yes. 03:06 Like a tree with the watermelon? 03:08 Yes. Yes, watermelons there. 03:11 Sure, sure. And mangoes. 03:13 How many of you like mangoes? 03:14 Oh, mangoes were there. 03:18 Peaches, big juicy peaches. 03:21 Amazing looking trees. 03:23 But in the middle of the garden, 03:26 there was one tree 03:27 that was a little different than the others. 03:31 This tree had a different name. 03:33 It was called the tree of the knowledge 03:35 of good and evil. 03:37 That's right. 03:38 Neto, we have some pretty smart kids here today. 03:40 They are smart. They are smart. 03:42 The knowledge of good and evil. 03:44 And this tree was a special tree 03:46 because it was a tree that would test Adam and Eve 03:50 if they would make a choice to obey God 03:54 or make a choice to disobey God. 03:59 But you know what, Neto? 04:00 God had an enemy. 04:02 There was an enemy in this garden. 04:05 And this enemy was big. 04:07 This enemy was ugly. 04:09 He was so ugly that he had to disguise himself 04:14 and look like a beautiful serpent. 04:18 And the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, 04:21 the serpent was there, and he began to tempt Eve. 04:25 And guess what? 04:27 Eve made a bad choice. 04:30 She made a bad choice. 04:32 She made a choice to disobey. 04:35 In fact, I would say this is the saddest story 04:40 in the entire Bible. 04:42 Really sad story? 04:44 Yes, Neto. 04:45 Oh, man. Really sad. 04:46 It's okay, Neto. It's okay. It's okay. 04:48 It's okay, Neto. How sad. 04:50 What happened afterwards? Yeah, yeah. 04:52 God then took Adam and Eve 04:54 and He took them out of the garden. 04:56 Oh, it gets worse. 04:58 Yeah, out of the garden. Oh, no! 05:00 And He put two angels at the entrance 05:03 with the sword of fire, 05:05 so that they would not be coming back into the garden 05:08 to eat of the fruit. 05:10 And so God had to take them out. 05:12 It's pretty sad, isn't it? It's like a big timeout. 05:15 Big timeout. That's really sad. 05:16 Big timeout. Big timeout. 05:18 It's really sad. Big timeout. 05:20 But, Neto, it's... 05:22 Listen though, there is some good news. 05:23 Oh, really? How many of you like good news? 05:25 You like good news? 05:27 Oh, good. Everyone likes good news. 05:28 Oh, good. There's some good news. 05:29 The good news is that God promised 05:32 that there would be a Savior. 05:35 You know what savior means? 05:37 Yes, a Savior. 05:39 Do you know what a savior... What does the savior mean? 05:42 A savior is like somebody who saves you 05:45 and makes like better. 05:47 That's precisely right. 05:48 A savior is someone who saves. 05:52 And so God promised a Savior. 05:55 And even though He had to take them out of the garden 05:58 for a consequence of big timeout. 06:01 God gave them a promise. 06:04 You see, God wants us to learn from our bad choices. 06:08 So we can make better choices, the right choices. 06:11 So Adam and Eve were given the promise 06:14 even though they had a consequence. 06:16 But the good news is this, boys and girls, 06:18 that Jesus is coming back. 06:20 And when He comes back, 06:21 He's gonna take us out of our timeout, 06:24 and He's gonna welcome us into His eternal home, 06:27 where the Garden of Eden will be restored, 06:30 and we're gonna once again 06:31 walk into this beautiful place with big trees 06:35 and big juicy fruit. 06:37 And we're going to spend eternity with Him. 06:39 Oh, that's good news. 06:41 That's good news. 06:42 All right, boys and girls, so that was our story. 06:45 Now we're gonna test you 06:46 to see if you're paying attention. 06:49 Well, we're gonna do that as soon as we come back 06:51 from our break. 06:52 So for those viewing at home, don't go away. 06:55 We'll be right back. |
