Welcome. 00:47 Today, we're in for some fun. 00:48 My name is Christian Martin, and I'm gonna be your captain 00:52 as we go through this exciting adventure 00:54 of exploring another Bible story 00:57 and testing you at the very end to see how much you know. 01:02 Well, today, I'm not here by myself, 01:04 I have a couple of friends with me, 01:06 there are very important players 01:08 in this show. 01:09 First of all, 01:10 I got to introduce you to Kaylee, 01:14 Emily, and Grandma Tina, our referees. 01:17 Let's give them a hand. All right. 01:20 We are so excited to have three referees with us. 01:24 And they're gonna keep things in order. 01:26 So, I'm so glad they're here, 01:27 they're important people in our team 01:29 but last but not least, 01:32 I must introduce to you my one and only sidekick, Neto. 01:37 Say, Hi, Neto, everyone. 01:38 Hi, Neto, everyone. Hi, Neto! 01:41 So good to have you with us, Neto. 01:43 So tell us a little bit about yourself. 01:46 Well, I'm about this tall, and I like to eat pizza. 01:52 Pizza? Yeah, yeah. 01:53 And I like Bible Buzz. 01:55 Oh, wow. Very cool. 01:58 Well, we're gonna get to know Neto, 01:59 we're so glad he's part of the team. 02:01 And so, as we get started, we're gonna have lots of fun, 02:04 we're gonna go over some Bible story 02:06 and then we're gonna quiz you, 02:08 and it's gonna be really, really exciting. 02:11 Neto, shall we begin with the story? 02:13 What is the story we're gonna learn about? 02:16 I was waiting for you to ask. 02:18 So the story today 02:20 is about a man in the Old Testament, 02:22 his name was Abraham. 02:24 Abraham, 02:26 he is one of my favorite Bible characters, 02:28 Abraham. 02:29 Now Abraham had many, many friends, 02:33 many a ton of friends. 02:35 Neto, do you have friends? 02:36 I have friends. 02:37 Do you have friends? 02:39 Guys, do you have friends? 02:40 Yes! 02:42 If you have at least one friend, 02:44 raise your hand. 02:45 Oh, boy, look at all those hands. 02:47 I have a friend. Look at all those hands. 02:49 And if you're watching from home, 02:50 I'm going to guess you have lots of friends too. 02:53 So, Neto. I have a friend. 02:55 You have a friend. Who's your friend? 02:57 I have... 02:58 Well, you. I'm your friend? 03:00 Uh-huh. Neto. 03:03 That's so special of you, Neto. 03:05 Don't touch me. 03:06 Oh, that means a lot, Neto, that means a lot, 03:08 that means a lot. 03:10 Abraham also had many friends, but he had one 03:14 very, very special, special friend. 03:19 His name was God. 03:23 God was his friend, Neto. 03:25 Can you imagine having God as a friend? 03:27 As your bestie? 03:29 That would be cool. Can you imagine that? 03:30 Unbelievable. That's my friend too. 03:32 He's your friend too? That's my friend too. 03:34 Oh, wow, how many of you have God as a friend? 03:37 Oh, I'm so glad to see those hands, 03:39 those hands goes up. 03:41 See, Abraham knew God, and God knew Abraham, 03:44 and God knew Abraham so much 03:46 that God called Abraham His friend. 03:49 And you know what, boys and girls, 03:51 God communicated to Abraham in many different ways. 03:55 One of those ways was through dreams and visions. 04:00 You see, one day God told Abraham 04:03 that he had to do something that would be very difficult. 04:06 It's not easy. 04:08 He said, "Abraham, 04:09 I want you to take all your suitcases, 04:11 all your bags, and pack all your stuff, 04:14 and I want you to move." 04:16 Is it fun moving? 04:17 Yeah! Do you guys like moving? 04:19 No! It's not fun moving, isn't? 04:22 Well, it's not fun why 04:24 'cause you got to only go to a new place, 04:27 but you got to leave your friends behind. 04:29 You know, you got... 04:30 You know, you leave the place that you know. 04:32 Nobody leave your friends 04:34 because one of your friends is God, 04:36 and He comes with you. 04:37 Boy, did you hear his answer, everyone? 04:40 Did you hear his answer? 04:41 His answer was excellent. 04:43 He said that when you move, but you have friend, 04:46 God is a friend, He will never leave you. 04:49 That's a very good point. 04:50 I'm glad you shared that with us. 04:52 And you know what 04:53 Abraham was told to pack up and move, 04:56 he went to a place called Ur. 04:59 He left Ur actually right, Neto? 05:01 Correct me, Neto, is that right? 05:02 He left Ur. He left Ur. 05:04 He left Ur. And he went where? 05:06 And he went to a place 05:08 that the Bible says Abraham didn't even know. 05:12 Can you imagine that? 05:13 You're gonna move to a place where you don't know. 05:15 That must be tough. Wouldn't that be tough? 05:18 Where did he move to? 05:19 You know what, the Bible doesn't say, 05:21 the Bible doesn't say exactly 05:23 where he was to move to 05:25 but God was preparing a place 05:27 that would be beautiful 05:29 with big trees and big juicy fruits, 05:31 just gorgeous place. 05:33 Gorgeous. He's going to Brazil. 05:35 Brazil. Brazil. 05:40 I don't think so, Neto, I don't think so. 05:42 Not Brazil, but let's just say 05:44 something pretty close to like Brazil. 05:46 Oh, okay. Beautiful place. 05:48 Brazil is a beautiful place, isn't it? 05:50 Yes, it is. Yes, it is. 05:51 So God would say, 05:53 "Abraham, I want you to take your wife, Sarah, 05:54 all your things pack up, and go." 05:57 And Abraham trusted God. 05:59 And you know what the Bible tells us, 06:01 boys and girls, 06:02 that Abraham did not know where he was going. 06:05 And you know what that means? 06:07 That means that God 06:10 was leading him and Abraham trusted God. 06:15 Oh, wow! 06:17 Trusting God is something very special 06:20 because when you trust God, 06:22 you're telling God 06:23 that, "God, I'm gonna go where You want me to go. 06:27 And I'm not gonna be afraid 06:28 because I know that You love me, 06:31 and I know that You take care of me. 06:33 So I will follow You, and I will obey You. 06:36 I will trust You with all of my heart." 06:41 And you know what, boys and girls, 06:42 that's amazing faith. 06:44 Abraham trusted God. 06:46 And today, 06:48 we're going to continue exploring the story. 06:50 After our break, we're gonna come right back, 06:52 and we're gonna test you on this amazing story. 06:55 So don't go too far. 06:57 We'll see you right back. |
