What? 00:12 Stay tuned for Creation Crafts. 00:41 Hello and welcome to Kids Camp Creation Crafts. 00:44 We're so delighted that you joined us today. 00:46 Do you like to do crafts? 00:48 We hope so. 00:49 We're your host, Miss Suzi. 00:51 And I'm Mr. Ryan. 00:53 We're glad to be here 00:54 and we're glad that you've joined us. 00:55 We've got all of these young purpley people around us. 00:59 Are you guys glad to be here? Yes. 01:01 Ready to make some crafts? Yeah. 01:02 Great. 01:04 Well, we're gonna try to tie in a craft 01:06 in with the scripture. 01:07 That's why we call it Creation Crafts. 01:09 And so we're gonna follow some directions 01:11 that Miss Suzi is gonna give us. 01:12 So, Miss Suzi, what are we gonna make today? 01:14 Well, today we are going to make sheep handprints. 01:19 They're not only handprints, it's actually a card. 01:23 Very cute. All right. 01:26 And we like to combine our scripture with craft. 01:29 So, Mr. Ryan, 01:30 what is our scripture for today? 01:32 Our scripture comes from John Chapter 10 01:35 and Chapter10 has a lot of great things 01:36 about Jesus being our shepherd. 01:38 And so we thought wow, we can make a sheep 01:41 so to remind us of our Shepherd. 01:42 We chose verse 14 of Chapter 10, 01:45 "And I am The Good Shepherd 01:47 and I know my sheep and I am known by My own." 01:51 So this is about the Shepherd and we're the sheep, 01:54 so hopefully this will be a good reminder 01:56 and maybe it's a little card 01:57 you can give to one of your friends 01:59 or parents or somebody you know 02:01 who needs a little pick-me-up, 02:02 you can give them a little note about it 02:05 based on the sheep here. 02:06 So, Miss Suzi, can you tell us how to make one of these? 02:08 I sure can. 02:10 Are you guys ready to start crafting? 02:11 Yes! All right. 02:13 All right, we've got some people 02:14 to help us make these crafts. 02:16 We've got some referees, come on out. 02:19 So they're gonna help make sure that 02:20 we're following directions 02:21 and if we get hurt they can help us and... 02:24 Well, let's go ahead and make some crafts here. 02:26 All right, let's get started. I'll help you guys down here. 02:29 Okay, first what we're gonna do is 02:30 we're gonna take our piece of paper 02:32 and I want you to fold it in half. 02:35 So you're gonna start with the bottom and fold up. 02:39 All right. And we're gonna make a crease. 02:41 Now what I'd like you to do 02:42 is to place your hand on the piece of paper. 02:48 Is there a certain way our hand should go on the paper? 02:50 Yes, actually you do. 02:51 You want the heel of your hand to go 02:53 on this crease so that way 02:54 when we cut it out it will still be attached 02:56 and we can actually have a card, okay? 02:58 All right. 03:00 So I want you to place your hand. 03:01 And you're gonna go ahead and draw. 03:02 If your hands are little taller than the card, 03:04 that's okay, you can just scoot your hand down 03:06 so that your fingertips fit 03:08 and that will work out all right. 03:10 All right, so let's go ahead and trace our hands. 03:13 Let me do it. You can do it. 03:15 You can go ahead and trace your own hand, 03:17 that would be great. 03:18 Yeah, go ahead and trace your own hand. 03:19 You might get some funny looking legs 03:21 on your sheep, that's okay. 03:22 And that's okay, it's all about having fun making crafts. 03:25 Now does it matter if you use the left hand 03:27 or the right hand? 03:28 It really doesn't matter at all. 03:29 Oh, okay. 03:31 So we can have some left handed sheep. 03:32 That's right. 03:34 All right, let's see if you can get around tracing. 03:35 All right, once you get your hands traced on the paper, 03:38 I want you to take your scissors 03:40 and we're gonna cut it out. 03:41 Now the one thing to be sure 03:42 is that you don't cut the crease, okay? 03:44 So you're gonna cut all the way around your fingers 03:48 and your hand. 03:49 Just don't cut along the crease. 03:51 All right, let's get cutting. 03:58 Very good. That's great. 03:59 I see some good handprints here. 04:02 All right. 04:03 So we can go ahead and start cutting it out. 04:06 Get those colorful scissors here 04:08 and start making some cuts. 04:11 And it doesn't have to be perfect... 04:13 These are just gonna be the legs 04:15 and the head and the neck of the sheep. 04:19 Now this is the body of the sheep. 04:22 And we're gonna have to make it fluffier 04:24 after we get done cutting it out. 04:27 Good job. 04:29 So you guys all passed the scissor training, right? 04:32 No. No? 04:33 You don't know how to use scissors? 04:35 Everybody know how to use their scissors? 04:36 Oh, you guys were hired 04:37 because you're great at scissoring work. 04:40 Well, this is like through two pieces. 04:41 Here I can, let me help you a little bit. 04:43 Yeah. Oh, I think these. 04:45 Yeah, go ahead. 04:47 Yeah, I think these are, there's, 04:50 you're cutting through two pieces, 04:51 so you're gonna have to be pretty strong. 04:52 So kids, you might need an adult 04:54 to help cut through the two pieces. 04:56 If anyone else need help. Yeah. 05:01 So we're going through two pieces of stock 05:03 and that can be pretty hard. 05:07 And the Bible, it says we're like sheep. 05:09 Why do you think that is? 05:11 Or any kids do, do you kids have any idea? 05:13 I think it's because Jesus is our shepherd 05:16 and we're like the sheep. 05:18 So He is our savior and we are complete in Him. 05:20 That's right. 05:22 Yeah, very good. Very good. 05:25 Does anyone know why we're called sheep? 05:28 Why do you think Jesus says we're like sheep? 05:31 'Cause He takes care of the sheep. 05:34 And... Here we go. 05:35 He takes care of us. Very good. 05:38 And I think Tucker back here had a thought, 05:41 why are we like sheep? 05:43 'Causes God is our Father 05:46 and so we're like the sheep. 05:49 Yeah, very good. 05:51 God wants to take care of us, doesn't He? 05:54 He's not just gonna leave us alone, 05:55 the shepherd always takes care of his sheep 05:57 and Jesus is gonna take care of us. 05:59 We hope these sheep will remind you of that. 06:02 And you can put this reminder up in your room. 06:06 All right, we're almost done. 06:08 All right, we're almost done cutting up with that. 06:09 Oh, I never get them, what is it? 06:10 It's little harder then. 06:13 Okay, let's see those hands. Can we have them? 06:16 This is kind of like the workout here. 06:17 All right. Oh, there's gonna be some fun. 06:19 So you should be able to open it up. 06:21 I think it will work out. Yeah. 06:22 Just like that. 06:24 All right, I hope we're getting this. 06:28 All right, how's it going back there? 06:29 You can kind of try to pull those out there. 06:32 Could you try? Oh, sure. 06:33 All right. I think I can handle it. 06:34 Okay. Great job. 06:36 I think we're getting done over here. 06:38 So... 06:39 Hey, we're gonna go ahead 06:41 and move forward while they continue. 06:42 The next thing we're gonna do 06:44 is we're gonna have our handprint 06:46 and we're gonna put a little bit of glue 06:48 right where the thumb is 06:49 and that's where we're gonna put our sheep head, okay? 06:52 So if you're right along with me, 06:54 go ahead and put a little dab of glue 06:57 right there on the thumb 06:59 and we're gonna put our sheep head on there, 07:03 just like that. 07:05 Would you like those little paws on your sheep? 07:08 Okay. Okay. 07:12 Okay, when you have your head on, 07:15 next, we can go ahead and put our eyes on. 07:18 So we've got some little googly eyes. 07:20 I love these googly eyes, 07:21 they're so fun to use on many different things. 07:25 All right. Take a little bit of glue. 07:27 All right. And put it on there. 07:29 This messes it. Oops, sorry. 07:32 Okay, go ahead and put the head right on. 07:33 Okay, so we're kind of looking like this right now. 07:36 We've got a sheep with a head and eyes 07:39 and then after you get your eyes on. 07:41 The next thing we're gonna do is 07:42 we're gonna take our cotton balls 07:44 and we're gonna put them all over the body of the sheep. 07:47 Oh, you guys are doing great. Oh, yeah, that's fine. 07:51 You can just do 07:52 a lot of a little dabbing of glue, just like this. 07:56 And then we're gonna go ahead 07:57 and put on our cotton balls and make our sheep fuzzy. 08:05 Does anyone know where cotton comes from? 08:08 Does it come from a sheep? 08:11 Plant. That's right. 08:12 It comes from a plant. That's right. 08:15 Is that a trick question here? 08:17 That was a little bit of a trick question. 08:20 Okay, so we've got the googly eyes on 08:22 and we've got the head on 08:24 and now you can start putting a little dab of glue 08:26 and putting the cotton balls for the body of it, okay? 08:30 Oh, just go and put a little dab of glue down. 08:31 Very good, you're doing such a great job. 08:33 Look at it, you cut it around. 08:34 Oh, wow. I am sticky. 08:36 You're doing such a great job, Elijah. 08:39 That's great. 08:40 Okay, now our next step we're gonna add 08:42 one more little cotton ball over here, 08:44 mine's looking a little undressed. 08:47 All right. 08:48 The next thing we're gonna do is I'm going to put 08:49 a little dab of glue right around the thumb 08:51 above the head, 08:53 that is where our ribbon is gonna go. 08:55 We have a little piece of ribbon right here, 08:57 a little string burlap twine. 08:59 And we're gonna stick it right around the sheep's neck. 09:03 Jesse, this is gonna go around the neck. 09:07 All right, just like that. 09:10 Oh, you're taking a look at it. There you go. 09:12 Yup, put your eyes right on there. 09:13 That's right, you guys can take a look at it if you want. 09:16 Nice. 09:17 Yeah, keep putting some glue spots on there. 09:20 How's it going, kiddos? Oh, we've got one... 09:21 How are we doing it? 09:22 Oh, we just need to put the little bow on it. 09:24 Good job. There you go. 09:26 Right on its neck sort of like 09:28 how our Shepherd leads us around 09:30 we've got a nice little bow to lead us around there. 09:33 What kind of sounds does a sheep make? 09:37 That's right. Oh, that's not too bad. 09:40 Good job. Yeah. 09:42 All right. 09:44 Now, we've got one more thing to do. 09:45 Good job. 09:47 So after you have your sheep and your cotton balls on it, 09:48 and the eyes in the head, you can open it up 09:52 that's where the card part is. 09:53 Now it's kind of black so, 09:54 yeah, you're not gonna be 09:56 able to write a note to anybody. 09:57 So or easily unless you use a white marker. 10:00 But what we have is a piece of white cardstock, 10:03 you can cut it down to size like 10:04 mine's a little big for this handprint, 10:07 so I'm gonna actually cut mine down to size, just like this. 10:11 And then we can glue it on right there 10:14 so that we can write a note to somebody. 10:19 Oh, yeah, put the bow on it. 10:20 And let it be a reminder that 10:22 we are God's children and His sheep. 10:29 That is the completed project right there. 10:32 Remember kids, you can always go to 10:34 the 3abnkids.tv 10:36 for all these supplies and the instructions. 10:41 This is great. 10:43 So now you can think about 10:44 what maybe you want to write inside on the sheep, 10:46 I think we're still catching up over here, 10:49 trying to get our little messages 10:51 and our bows on there. 10:54 Is there something maybe you want to write 10:55 to your mom or dad or a friend? 10:59 Does anybody know what they might do 11:00 with their sheep when they get done with it? 11:03 You have anybody? 11:04 I think I'm gonna give it to my mom. 11:06 Oh, to your mom. Very nice. 11:08 My mom, my aunt. 11:10 Okay. 11:12 Well, do you have? 11:13 Amanda, do you have anybody you might give this to 11:15 or do you think you want to keep it? 11:17 Not sure. 11:18 Well, you've got time to think about that. 11:20 Now this is great. 11:21 So there's a lot of great crafts 11:22 that you can find on the 3ABN Kids website 11:25 for our Kids Camp. 11:26 So you can find the directions as Miss Suzi said 11:28 and you can find other crafts that we're gonna be working on. 11:32 Oh, this is great. 11:33 Does anyone else know 11:35 what they're gonna do with their craft? 11:42 All right. You got your message in there. 11:45 You've got... Can you open it up and show us. 11:47 I was thinking of it. Oh, look at your sheep. 11:50 Great job. That's got long legs. 11:53 I see some short legs, I see some long legs, 11:56 every sheep is different. 11:57 I think this reminds me of you guys 12:00 that every sheep around here is different. 12:03 Although I see a lot of ladies then I'll start with the name 12:05 in case you guys have that in common. 12:08 But your sheep are all gonna be different. 12:11 So it's the time for you guys to think about 12:13 maybe how do you can fix and get the bow on there, 12:16 get the eyes on, write a message. 12:20 And you can clean up. 12:22 It's always important if you get glue on your hands, 12:24 does anybody got their fingers ever stuck together? 12:26 Yes. What? 12:29 Well, how did you get them unstuck? 12:32 Under water. 12:33 Ah, you could use some water to clean up. 12:35 Wow, that's a great way. 12:37 Sometimes you can rub your hands 12:39 to get rid of the glue, go wash them, 12:41 sometimes it helps to keep a little wet cloth around, 12:43 so you can do that. 12:45 That's great. 12:46 Yeah, you can make so many great things 12:50 with glue and scissors and pencils. 12:53 Does anybody need any help? 12:55 Oh, you're about done here, huh? 12:58 You got all the cotton balls on there. 13:00 Wow, that's one fluffy sheep. 13:03 That's a great job. 13:05 Oh, I see some good messages going on there. 13:07 Okay. 13:11 See, now, when you've got some extra time 13:13 you can do some modifications to your sheep, 13:16 you're making that into a male sheep it looks like... 13:19 A ram. A ram. 13:21 Okay. Very nice. 13:23 Yeah, the face. 13:25 Yeah, you guys can add some different things 13:26 to the bottom or the top of your sheep. 13:27 To the sheep, that's right. Very good. 13:30 Remember once again, the website 3abnkidscamp.tv, 13:35 so you can find all the supplies 13:37 and the instructions for making the sheep 13:39 and many more crafts that we have. 13:42 We're so glad that you have decided to 13:45 come and see our craft today. 13:48 And we hope that you'll visit us again. 13:51 And this is Kids Camp Creation Crafts 13:55 where scripture inspires creativity. |
