So what you got on... 02:08 What you got about David? 02:10 Well, you know, 02:11 I remember when I was in school, 02:15 I was the shortest guy 02:19 in the class. 02:21 So I couldn't play. 02:22 I wasn't very good at baseball, I couldn't play basketball, 02:26 and I wasn't big enough to play football. 02:29 So, you know, it was like, 02:31 everything and everybody else 02:33 seemed to be able to do so good, 02:36 I could not do. 02:39 But I found that I had a gift 02:43 for rhyming words 02:46 and putting words together. 02:47 I wrote my first song when I was 11 years old. 02:51 And the reason I'm telling you this 02:54 is not to talk about me, 02:55 but to talk about the fact that at an early age, 02:59 God can give you a passion, 03:02 a vision, and a dream for your life. 03:05 And whatever He gives you a vision for, 03:08 He will also give you the ability to do it. 03:12 He will never ask you to do something 03:15 that He has not given you the ability 03:17 and the gift to accomplish. 03:21 And David 03:24 was so much smaller than Goliath. 03:28 And here he stands facing a giant. 03:32 And all of these people are laughing, I'm sure. 03:36 And all these soldiers and these men 03:38 are making fun of him, saying, you know, 03:42 there's no way this is gonna work. 03:45 And, but David had everything he needed to fight the battle 03:51 that God had sent him to fight. 03:55 He had a sling and a rock. 04:01 That doesn't sound like a lot, does it? 04:04 But he's facing a giant with all this armor. 04:09 And David stood there believing in God, 04:14 trusting in God. 04:15 And we know the rest of the story. 04:17 And so that story is for us today to realize 04:22 that whatever God sends you to do, 04:24 He will equip you to do. 04:27 And here's a little song, you all know the chorus. 04:31 Please sing with me on the chorus. 04:33 But I'm gonna sing a couple of the verses 04:36 that I wrote. 04:38 And it goes like this. 04:42 David was a kid with the sling in his hand. 04:44 Old Goliath was a big, big man. 04:46 He said, David, I'll kill you with my sword. 04:51 But David brought him down the size with that rock 04:55 between his eyes 04:56 because little David came in the name of the Lord. 05:00 We're God's little people 05:04 Oh, yeah. 05:06 We've got a light And we're gonna let it shine 05:10 We're God's little people 05:16 God's little people are God's big people sometimes 05:21 Lord, I like to give my best to you, 05:23 but there's a lot of things I can't do. 05:26 You know that I'm not tall. 05:28 I'm not strong. 05:31 But for short people everywhere, 05:33 we've got something for the world to hear. 05:36 And, Lord, we wanna sing You this song. 05:39 Sing it loud. 05:41 We're God's little people 05:46 We've got a light 05:48 And we're gonna let it shine 05:49 Shine, shine 05:51 We're God's little people 05:56 God's little people are God's big people sometimes 05:59 I like that.
