00:03 we are having a blast in the kitchen. 00:06 We have Shai and Amarie from Georgia. 00:09 And it's so much fun here. 00:10 Well, the smell is just amazing. 00:13 So, guys, what is on the menu? 00:16 Thai green curry stir fry rice with smoked sweet potato fries. 00:21 And seedy cherry smoothie bowl. 00:24 I can't wait. 00:26 So next thing we want to add to the stir fry is the rice. 00:30 So if you can go to the fridge 00:31 and get the rice out for me, Shai. 00:33 All right. 00:34 So instead of cooking up the rice, 00:35 we're using rice that we had left over from yesterday. 00:37 So brown rice is a great thing to cook extra off. 00:40 Leave it in your refrigerator 00:41 and then you can actually have it to make a stir fry of this. 00:45 So you just cook it, put everything like this. 00:47 And if you're gonna put two cups on there, 00:49 I'll just grab a cup measure out for you. 00:52 You can put two cups of rice in for the stir fry. 00:55 Also I just forgot to put the caps, the red pepper in. 00:58 So I'm just gonna chop up just some red pepper, 01:00 just to give a little bit of color. 01:02 We don't need a huge amount. 01:03 Just some, just some to give a little bit of color. 01:06 In here? Yup, and yup, put it in. 01:07 Wow. 01:09 And make sure you keep stirring there, Amarie. 01:12 Okay. Yes, keep stirring. 01:15 Here we go. 01:19 A little bit of color. Wow. 01:20 It won't need much cooking, 01:21 so it's actually fine to put it in through. 01:23 The red made it so colorful. Yes, exactly. 01:25 We also gonna add some lemongrass 01:26 which I've got as well. 01:28 You get this really nice tubes of lemongrass paste, 01:29 you can use fresh lemongrass and chop it up. 01:32 But these purees are excellent and nice. 01:34 So put it in a good tablespoon of that in there. 01:36 So mix it in really well. 01:38 It's brilliant. 01:39 Isn't it looking wonderful and beautiful? 01:41 Yup. That's looking very good. 01:42 It's awesome. It's great. So now... 01:45 How long until the sweet potato fries come out? 01:48 You're gonna stir that through as well, 01:50 put the whole lot in and put it into the stir fry. 01:53 Coconut cream, we got a bit of creaminess. 01:55 Creamy. 01:57 Give it a good stir fry. Looks like sour cream. 01:59 And these guys here, the tempeh I think it's done, 02:01 so we can turn it off. 02:02 All right. 02:04 As you can see it's gone really nice, 02:05 I'll add a little bit of salt to it, just to... 02:08 Just needs a little of salt to just carry the flavor there. 02:11 And that is done. This is a lovely little dish. 02:13 So, guys, you want to try some tempeh? 02:15 Yes. 02:16 Might be a bit hot but just blow on it 02:17 and see what you think of this, 02:19 it's kind of like tofu but different. 02:21 It's got a nice nutty flavor. 02:24 What do you think? I like it. 02:26 Quite nice, eh? 02:27 This would be a great ingredient 02:29 to sprinkle it over the top. 02:31 Okay, keep stirring. 02:32 Lovely. 02:34 While it's just finishing warming through, 02:38 we're gonna start our smoothie bowl. 02:39 So can you go, you need to grab 02:41 some frozen cherries from the freezer? 02:42 Yes. Shai. 02:44 And we're just about making a smoothie bowl. 02:46 So smoothie bowl is like a dessert, 02:48 it's kind of a combination 02:49 between a dessert and a smoothie, 02:51 but a bit more attractive. 02:53 So can you empty half those cherries into there? 02:56 So round about two cups of cherries, put one banana. 03:02 The whole thing? 03:03 Probably half of it. Half. 03:05 Or probably about two cups worth. 03:07 So keep, just keep going until you get two cups of it. 03:10 Now let's put some almond milk in as well. 03:15 Whatever favorite milk you've got. 03:16 Wonderful. 03:18 Actually I might put another banana in, 03:19 it's got a small banana. 03:21 So two small bananas, the ripe the better, 03:22 'cause they got more flavor. 03:25 Here we go. 03:26 And we're just gonna put that on there and blend it. 03:30 Does lid come around anywhere? 03:31 We probably need a lid, don't we? 03:33 Yes. Oh, here it is. 03:34 I always keep losing the lid of the blenders. 03:36 There we go. 03:38 Nice smoothie bowl. 03:39 Wow. 03:40 That looks awesome. 03:42 What we're gonna do is put it in here 03:44 and you can go and get some berries from the fridge, 03:46 some raspberries, some fresh berries. 03:48 See if you can find them in here. 03:53 So smoothie is the bases for our dessert. 03:56 This is stir fry done? 03:57 Basically we're gonna pour it in there like that. 04:01 And just add some interesting things on top. 04:03 So we've got some pumpkin seeds. 04:06 We got some chia seeds. 04:08 Oh, chia seeds. 04:10 They are really nice as well. 04:11 And we're just gonna put a little cluster 04:13 of them everywhere. 04:14 If you're gonna pull out just about 04:15 probably seven or eight raspberries and blueberries. 04:20 Did you find blueberries in there? 04:22 Oh. 04:23 So you can do that for breakfast too? 04:25 Exactly. 04:26 It's gonna be good breakfast thing. 04:28 When you're dropping it, 04:29 you want to just drop it from not too high 04:30 because it's gonna, that's probably enough raspberries 04:33 'cause it sinks through and jumps down the bottom. 04:37 What other seeds we got? 04:38 Here we got some toasted sesame seeds. 04:42 So just little clusters, 04:44 we're not gonna put it evenly over everything, 04:45 there's little cluster to make it look beautiful. 04:47 We got some sunflower seeds, 04:48 so you can buy these in the bulk in your supermarket. 04:51 If you want to throw some of those blueberries there. 04:54 Just drop it, yup, not too high, 04:57 otherwise it stinks down. 04:59 And the remain of these cherries, 05:01 we got these beautiful, 05:02 I couldn't find any fresh cherries 05:03 but you can get these beautiful frozen cherries these days. 05:05 So I put them in the middle. 05:07 Isn't that a beautiful smoothie bowl? 05:09 It is very nice. 05:11 That looks very, very delicious. 05:13 And it is just the fun way to have a smoothie 05:15 with some extra kind of seeds in it as well. 05:17 Just wash my hands here. 05:19 So that's ready for the table. 05:21 And I think now it is time 05:22 to plate this magnificent stir fry up. 05:26 So we got a nice big white bowl. 05:29 And what we're gonna do... Should we turn it off? 05:30 Yes, we should turn it off. Good plan. 05:33 Just grab this here and put this there. 05:36 And I'm just gonna, 05:37 if I hold it there, do you want to spoon it in? 05:38 Yes. 05:40 Oops, it's still hot, 05:41 I might just get a little bit of cloth here. 05:43 So if you're gonna spoon it into the middle there. 05:45 And you want things 05:46 to fall kind of naturally in the middle. 05:48 You don't want things to kind of be placed, 05:52 just let it fall naturally, gravity do its work. 05:55 Here we go. 05:57 We might just spoon it a little bit. 05:59 Just kind of even it out. Just a little bit. 06:02 And other things you want to add now as well. 06:05 So we're gonna be adding some, 06:07 have you tried snow peas before? 06:09 Oh, yes. I love. 06:10 Try some of these, tried these, 06:11 they're just the most lovely little ingredient in the world, 06:15 so try some of these, guys. 06:16 Try one of those. 06:18 Green beans? Yup, just eat it. 06:20 They're just really crunchy 06:22 and fresh and just amazing flavor. 06:25 Just gonna sprinkle few of those on there as well. 06:31 And I'm gonna put some avocado on. 06:33 So we're just layering it up with lots of fun ingredients. 06:36 Probably not ingredients you normally put in the stir fry. 06:39 But it's nice to put some of these lovely things. 06:41 So you can just dumb, 06:42 see if you can extract the skin of the avocado. 06:45 We got some of that lovely fennel that we got here before. 06:48 And we'll put some of the fennel leaves on. 06:51 These snow peas are so fresh. 06:52 Yes. 06:57 What are the ingredients do we have to put on there? 06:59 Oh, I'll go and get some cilantro. 07:01 We have fennel toothpaste at home. 07:03 You have what, sorry? 07:04 Fennel toothpaste at home. 07:05 Fennel toothpaste. 07:07 Oh, so it remind you of toothpaste. 07:08 So we're gonna put these on here like that. 07:10 So why do you... 07:12 Why do you wrap the cilantro in paper towel? 07:16 It helps keep them fresh in the refrigerator. 07:18 So the wet paper towel is a great thing to do. 07:20 Sprinkle around the side as well. 07:22 And then we gonna get this lovely tempeh 07:24 which is just amazing. 07:26 Sprinkle it on the top. 07:30 And there's so many, 07:32 it's just like a party in your mouth 07:33 when you have this. 07:34 Doesn't it look great? 07:36 Wow. Yes. 07:37 We're gonna put some of this avocado in as well. 07:38 Oops, it's falling off here. 07:42 And that is a magnificent stir fry 07:44 like one you've never had before. 07:47 So all we need to do now, little more cilantro. 07:50 Let's get the sweet potato fries out of the oven 07:52 and our meal is finished. 07:53 Oh, I can't wait. |
