00:05 - We've grown up in the church and have 00:07 always been somewhat involved in outreach. 00:10 But how can we get involved in missions overseas? 00:13 My name is Mary Ann. 00:14 - And I'm Lillyann. 00:16 We wanted to find out. 00:18 Join us on our journey 00:20 (gong banging) 00:22 to discover the culture, the lifestyle, 00:24 - The need and the mission 00:27 - In two of Southeast Asia's least reached countries. 00:31 Welcome to MissionTREK. 00:36 - Welcome to the final episode. 00:38 - Over the last 12 shows, we have covered 00:40 a lot of ground, seen a lot of new things, 00:43 and met a lot of really cool people. 00:45 - Last time, we met up with our good friend 00:47 Jim Pastore, and did a prayer tour of the city of Bangkok. 00:50 We pray that your Holy Spirit will be poured out 00:53 on this city. 00:56 - Now as this is the last episode, we wanted 00:58 to recap everything that's happened in the show. 01:01 What our favorite moments are, as well as, 01:02 an exclusive interview with our director. 01:05 - We started our trip with a layover in China, 01:07 where we visited The Great Wall. 01:09 It was such an amazing place. 01:10 - Yeah. 01:14 - China is a beautiful country. 01:16 Getting to see the Great Wall and 01:17 all the people who live there really made me think. 01:20 The majority of them live their lives appeasing 01:23 the spirits and believing in superstitions. 01:27 And yet the Adventist Church in China 01:29 has over 43,000 members. 01:33 But that is a small number compared to 01:35 the 1.3 billion people who actually live there. 01:46 - Then it was to Bangkok, where we didn't have 01:49 any time for jet lag as we went straight 01:51 to the floating market. 01:53 - It's great just being around all 01:54 the people and seeing like all the activity. 01:58 - And what they do every day. 02:00 (upbeat music) 02:12 - This is so cool! 02:16 - We have to reach them somehow 02:18 and you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot 02:19 to come and live like they do. 02:24 Next we visited Sukhothai, a city with 02:26 no known SDA presence. 02:29 (soft guitar music) 02:34 - There's over like 5 million people 02:36 that live in this valley. 02:38 And over the next five hours, 02:40 we will like not even come within a 02:42 hundred miles of a single church plant so. 02:47 (soft violin music) 03:02 - It was so weird being the only Adventist 03:04 in that whole area. 03:05 - Yeah. 03:06 From there, on to the Lahu Village. 03:09 It was an amazing experience to worship 03:11 with an entirely new people group. 03:13 People we'd never heard of before. 03:15 (upbeat music) 03:23 (singing) 03:28 They were crying that Jesus 03:29 would help them but he was sleeping. 03:31 We got to teach them something and 03:33 tell them stories and it was really fun 03:37 and it was really good. 03:38 I think that definitely you're never 03:41 too young to be a missionary. 03:43 (guitar music) 03:46 - Then we interviewed some missionaries 03:48 and got to visit Sticky Water Falls. 03:51 - When you think about what is life worth living for. 03:56 You can live for yourself or you can live for your King. 04:00 - Our lives change when we see other lives change. 04:06 - We will see how this goes. 04:08 - Here we go! 04:10 (water rushing and laughter) 04:20 - Yeah! 04:23 - Woo hoo! 04:26 - That was so much fun. 04:27 - Yes! 04:28 Especially being able to climb up the waterfall itself. 04:30 - Yeah! 04:31 - Next, the White Temple. 04:32 What an insight into a very different 04:35 religion and world view! 04:38 - This part is the Hell, I guess, 04:39 and the temple is Heaven so. 04:43 (soft music) 04:47 - They are probably constantly in fear 04:49 of offending the spirits and constantly 04:53 have to try to work hard to be good. 04:59 - I'm so thankful for Jesus who 05:00 gives us a way of peace and love for all people. 05:03 - Will you ever forget the Mae Hong Son Loop? 05:05 - Definitely not. 05:07 - Twenty hours on the back of a motorbike. 05:09 It was so beautiful and such an adventure. 05:12 It was amazing to travel through country 05:14 that we had never been through before. 05:15 - Yeah. 05:16 - We felt like adventurers. 05:19 - This is my shift lever. 05:21 (energizing music) 05:28 - We were so thankful for God's protection, 05:29 especially with the king cobra. 05:32 - Yeah, that was pretty scary. 05:33 - Yeah. 05:34 But I loved our short visit with the Sharons. 05:37 Visiting the refugee camp and watching how 05:39 Mr. Sharon teaches through English through Bible stories, 05:41 as well as seeing how Mrs. Sharon 05:43 helps the people with natural remedies, 05:46 and how they built their house with their own hands. 05:48 The villagers love them and 05:49 they really love the villagers. 05:51 - Yeah, it's really obvious. 05:52 - Yeah. 05:53 - It was so cool to meet the missionaries 05:56 of Sunshine Orchards and see how they 05:57 live and work among the local people. 05:59 - Yes. 06:00 - We've been visiting a lot of missionaries 06:02 and like just seeing like, how they do 06:04 everyday life and they seem really happy 06:07 and it's exciting to just see 06:09 what difference that they are making 06:10 in the world around them so. 06:14 We're here at a village this afternoon. 06:17 We're doing like a branch Sabbath School thing. 06:20 It's just like huge culture shock. 06:23 Like, I don't know. 06:25 (rooster crows) 06:27 It's just like, wow! 06:31 Kind of. 06:32 You read about stuff like this, 06:34 but to actually be here is just like... 06:36 You get all the smells and everything. 06:41 - And the time spent with Auntie Gail 06:42 at her clinic in the mountains of Thailand 06:44 was really special. 06:49 - Lilyann, it doesn't look very steep in the camera. 06:50 How does it feel in real life? 06:52 - It's like this. 06:54 - Our back wheel was just right here on the edge. 06:58 It's only the angel of the Lord that stopped us. 07:03 The great need here is what keeps us here 07:06 because we wanna see as many people in Heaven 07:10 as is possible for us to reach and Jesus is coming 07:14 soon and I feel such an urgency to spread the 07:17 word of God in these areas that 07:20 there's mountain after mountain and 07:21 village after village and nobody knows. 07:25 This is the biggest joy you could 07:28 ever have this side of Heaven. 07:31 - It's a little lady with a big truck and 07:33 a big heart, what an example of caring 07:35 and love she is. 07:37 - It was so strange going back to the city 07:38 after being in the jungle for so long 07:41 but I'm so glad that God calls people to all places. 07:44 - We loved our time visiting the Temples with the 07:46 Whitzens as well as the slum with Josh and Judy Bauder. 07:50 - After you make a friend with somebody, 07:52 then they start telling you 07:53 some of their problems, right? 07:55 And once you get to know what some of their 07:56 problems are, then you can actually start praying for them. 07:58 (gong bangs) 08:00 - When they start asking questions 08:01 "well who is this Jesus that is helping me 08:03 and has blessed me and done these things"? 08:05 We can then begin to share with them who Jesus was. 08:09 - So we just got here at the slum. 08:13 (teaching in Thai) 08:16 - It's been a year-and-a-half long struggle 08:18 trying to get these kids to behave. 08:20 And now, you know, you can walk around with them. 08:23 They're being good kids and 08:26 that's God working inside of them. 08:30 - They have such an amazing love for the kids. 08:31 - They do. 08:32 - Yeah. 08:33 - Our trip to Cambodia was so amazing. 08:34 - What Tim and Wendy Maddocks have done 08:37 through their willingness to surrender 08:38 everything to God is truly incredible. 08:41 - Mmm hmm. 08:44 - We started out as missionaries 08:45 when we were 21 and 20. 08:48 And it's just been an amazing life, 08:50 an amazing journey. 08:51 As God builds our faith and our trust in Him 08:54 He gives us more to do and takes us deeper 08:58 into this journey with Him. 09:02 - And then visiting the global missionary pioneer 09:04 and hearing the story of how his daughter 09:06 was raised to life through prayer. 09:07 - That was really inspiring. 09:08 - It was. 09:09 - And remember how Miranda just blended 09:11 in with her Muslim neighborhood and 09:14 befriended them and seemed to feels so at home there? 09:16 - Yeah. 09:17 (soothing guitar music) 09:27 - And last but not least, back in Bangkok, 09:30 the Atwell's amazing act of faith in building 09:32 the center of influence. 09:35 - Basically we quit our jobs and sold everything 09:37 that we had that was of any value and 09:40 gave away the rest and moved over here. 09:42 - I love our life. 09:43 I don't ever want to go back. 09:45 It's perfect here. 09:49 - And the prayer walk with Jim was a 09:51 wonderful finale to an epic adventure. 09:53 - I heard that Bangkok is one of the most visited 09:57 places in the world. 09:58 How many people are here in Bangkok? 10:00 - Twelve million people live in Bangkok. 10:03 - Just in the city alone? 10:04 - Just in the city. 10:05 - And how many Christians are there? 10:07 - Twelve hundred Adventists in a city of 12 million. 10:10 - Ninety-nine percent have not known Christ. 10:14 If the Holy Spirit empowers these people, 10:18 this city could be lighted up, 10:19 could be lighted up with God's glory. 10:24 - I still pray for Thailand and Cambodia everyday. 10:27 Feels like everywhere you travel, 10:29 you gain something and you leave 10:30 a little part of your heart there. 10:33 - It was incredible to meet all the amazing 10:35 missionaries and we both really hope to return someday. 10:38 - But for now, we pray for them. 10:40 We send our offerings and we tell others about the need. 10:43 Who knows, maybe God will call one of us or you 10:46 to the mission field and then someone will 10:48 be in Heaven because of us. 10:50 What a wonderful way to live life? 10:52 - Yes. 10:53 I know this trip has been a blessing. 10:54 Is there any specific way that you would 10:57 say that it has changed you? 10:59 - I feel like this trip has really expanded 11:00 our minds, our world view and our friend circle. 11:03 We got to see God use ordinary people 11:06 to do extraordinary things and it's 11:09 given us something to pray for and hope for. 11:11 We hope it has done the same for you. 11:13 - Yeah. 11:14 And now we would like to do something 11:16 extra special and introduce you to our 11:18 producer, James Wood. 11:21 - Hi guys! 11:22 - Hey! 11:22 Welcome to the MissionTREK set. 11:23 - Thank you. 11:24 Thank you for having me. 11:25 - Yeah. 11:26 - He and his Dad followed us with cameras 11:28 and documented the trip. 11:30 He's also done a lot of work on the editing 11:31 and the set design. 11:33 - So how much work has this been for you? 11:35 - It's been a lot of work, especially 11:37 the shooting part, because we were constantly on the go 11:40 every single day and it got really really tiring. 11:43 We slept in like 28 beds in 45 days, which is a lot. 11:46 - Yeah. 11:48 - So and then after that, the editing part 11:50 was also a lot of work too. 11:51 - Mmm hmm. 11:52 - So did you enjoy the trip? 11:53 - Yeah I did. 11:54 It was a lot of fun. 11:55 It was also a big challenge because it's my first show 11:57 but I'm really thankful we came out with something 11:59 we can actually work with. 12:00 God really blessed. 12:01 - Mmm hmm. 12:03 - Why did you want to do this show? 12:04 - I didn't actually. 12:06 When we first started talking about it, 12:08 I thought it was a really cool idea, 12:09 but I had school and other things that 12:11 I wanted to devote my time to, 12:12 and so I didn't think I had the time to do this. 12:14 But people started talking about it and 12:16 it became something that we never knew 12:20 it would become and people started providing 12:22 money and God started providing plans 12:25 and things were lining up so I'm really 12:27 thankful that it happened and I'm really 12:28 thankful and I love what it's become but 12:31 I in the beginning I didn't want to do it. 12:33 - Well, we're thankful that it became a thing too. 12:36 Because we're it's something we can all be 12:37 really proud of and really thankful to God 12:40 that it actually happened. 12:41 - Mmm hmm. 12:42 Would you recommend missions to other people? 12:43 - Of course. 12:45 I had the opportunity when I was 15 to take a 12:47 gap year and go to Asia for like five months 12:49 and it was a really good experience. 12:51 I learned a lot. 12:53 I got to meet a lot of new people and 12:54 experience a lot of new things. 12:56 So yeah, it was a really good experience. 12:58 I would definitely recommend it. 13:00 - Yeah, I agree. 13:01 I would recommend to other people too. 13:02 - Me too. 13:03 What was it like producing your first show? 13:05 - It was crazy. 13:06 There's so many things that go into the making of it, 13:08 not just the filming. 13:09 You have to set up meetings with people 13:11 and direct with people and places and 13:13 just coordinate where everything is going. 13:16 It's a lot of work but it was a lot of fun. 13:17 I'm really thankful to everybody that 13:19 put their time into it, my dad, the editors 13:21 and Jesus for Asia especially. 13:23 - What was your biggest challenge? 13:25 - I had two biggest challenges on this trip. 13:28 One of them, I got sick up in Northern Thailand 13:30 and the other one, while we were shooting, 13:32 my computer was stolen and that was really hard 13:34 because I had a lot of work on there for 13:36 MissionTREK and other stuff that got lost 13:38 and I couldn't get it back so yeah that was 13:41 a big bummer but God, God worked it out. 13:44 - What was the most rewarding part? 13:46 - The most rewarding part for me will probably 13:48 be when it's done because all this work that 13:50 we've put into it and everything you know 13:53 all the time that we've spent on this show 13:56 when it's done, I hope that this show will 13:58 inspire the people that are watching it to 14:00 go over and experience what it's like over there. 14:02 Even if they go over there for like a week or so 14:04 just to see what we're talking about and 14:07 learn what it's like you know? 14:09 It's really cool and I hope that 14:11 everybody can experience that. 14:12 - So do we. 14:14 - So were there any shots or any footage 14:16 that you missed that you wish you could have gotten? 14:19 - If I could, I would go back and shoot the whole thing 14:22 again because there's so much that we learned towards 14:25 the end of the show, that I wish that we could 14:26 have shown, done, at the beginning. 14:29 - Yeah. 14:30 - Because looking back at the beginning of the show 14:31 is kind of like a rocky start but you know, 14:33 it's what it is and I'm really thankful for 14:36 where it is so it's good. 14:37 - Mmm hmm, yeah. 14:38 - There are a couple of specific shots 14:39 that I wish I could have gotten though, 14:41 especially when we were on the Mae Hong Son Loop 14:43 and we ran across that cobra, 14:45 that would have been really cool. 14:46 And then, when we were walking through Bangkok, 14:48 there was a guy that bit off a scorpion right 14:51 in front of us and you guys screamed. 14:52 I wish that we could have gotten that but 14:54 we didn't have the cameras out and we 14:55 were behind you guys so it's okay, but yeah. 14:59 - Yeah. 14:59 - Yeah. 15:01 We're kind of glad they didn't get one of those. 15:02 (laughter) 15:04 - There's always something that you know you wish 15:06 you could have gotten, but. 15:06 - Well, yeah. 15:08 That's the way it is with everything. 15:08 - Mmm hmm. 15:09 The way it turned out, you think? 15:10 - It's been good. 15:12 - Mmm hmm. 15:12 - Mmm hmm. Yeah. 15:14 So what about you guys? 15:16 What were your favorite places that we went to on the show? 15:18 - Well for me, my favorite place was definitely 15:20 Auntie Gail's because I really like medical stuff 15:23 and I'm just really inspired by what she's doing out there. 15:26 - Mmm hmm. 15:27 - My favorite place was Josh Bauder's project 15:29 with the slum and the kids there. 15:31 I enjoyed interacting with the children and 15:34 helping with that. 15:35 - That's awesome. 15:36 Yeah, those are really cool places. 15:38 - Yeah. 15:39 - So we've been to all these places 15:40 and gone through all these experiences 15:42 what are some of the things that surprised 15:44 you guys the most? 15:45 I know you've been there before but 15:48 this trip, what surprised you guys the most? 15:51 - Well, no matter how many times I go, 15:53 I'm always surprised by just how friendly 15:57 everybody is, like they take the Golden Rule, 16:00 like treat others as you would have them treat you, 16:03 like seriously, and they don't even know about it. 16:04 - Mmm hmm. 16:06 - Like they're always so friendly, yeah. 16:08 - I agree with that but also what stood out to me 16:10 I think especially this last time, was when we went 16:13 to the villages and the villagers like they live 16:14 in those villages they have almost nothing, 16:17 but yet they're happy, like they're so willing 16:19 to share what they do have with you and 16:24 here in America we just like we have so much stuff 16:26 we don't even realize and we always 16:27 are wanting more and it's just... 16:28 - And nobody is truly happy. 16:30 - Exactly. 16:31 - So money doesn't buy happiness? 16:33 - No it doesn't. 16:34 So speaking of happiness, if you notice all the 16:37 missionaries we went to, they were all really happy. 16:40 And I'm curious, what are some of the things that inspired 16:42 you the most of the people that we went and visited? 16:46 - I was inspired by how they follow God step by step 16:49 through everything, like how the Atwell's, you know, 16:51 they just moved over from America, not knowing 16:54 what they were going to do, and then, you know 16:56 God just opened the door for them as they followed. 16:59 - Yeah. 17:01 - I was most inspired by you know what Lil said obviously, 17:04 but also how they are willing to take on stuff that's 17:10 so much bigger than themselves because they know 17:12 they have God with him. 17:13 Like Auntie Gail is like 64. 17:15 She's pretty much by herself up in the mountains, 17:18 you know, but she's not scared and like they all 17:22 have their own, like they all have such amazing faith. 17:28 - Yeah. 17:29 That's one of the things that inspired me the most too, 17:30 was the faith and persistence that they have. 17:33 Like for example like the Maddocks in Cambodia, 17:37 they're out there, they go out there, and 17:40 there's nothing out there when they first started 17:42 and look at what God has built in this new 17:45 Butterfly Paradise, it's amazing and just 17:49 seeing where God has led each everyone one of them 17:52 it really inspires me a lot. 17:54 - Mmm hmm. 17:55 - Yeah, for sure. 17:57 - On this trip, we got to see a lot of missionaries 17:59 and visit a lot of cool projects but we also got to 18:03 do a lot of fun things. 18:05 What were the most fun things that you guys were able to do? 18:08 - Well, I really enjoyed the Sticky Water Falls. 18:11 It was so much fun being all wet. 18:14 It was really hot and the water was cold; 18:15 that was really nice. 18:17 And also the cooking class with Jim, that was a lot of fun. 18:20 - Yeah, I also really liked the Sticky Water Falls. 18:23 That was a lot of fun. 18:24 - It was. 18:26 - But I enjoyed getting to see the Great Wall of China 18:27 like that's a once in a lifetime experience. 18:28 - Yeah, that was pretty cool. 18:29 - We've been to Thailand a lot and 18:31 one of my favorite things to do while we're there 18:33 is to ride motorcycles so for me the Mae Hong Son Loop 18:36 was really fun but also what you guys said those 18:39 were really good experiences too. 18:41 - Yeah. 18:42 - So speaking of fun, we had a lot of that, 18:46 but we also had challenges too. 18:48 What were some of the most challenging parts for you guys? 18:52 - I think for me personally, I got sick when we 18:55 were at Sunshine Orchards, and when you're sick 18:59 you know, you just really kind of want to be home 19:01 and comfortable, and there was no AC, there were 19:05 not proper like bathrooms and stuff, which normally, 19:08 I wouldn't mind, but I was, that was really tough. 19:11 - When you're sick it kind of magnifies all the problems. 19:13 - Yeah. 19:14 - Thankfully, I didn't really get sick, but 19:16 I think the hardest thing for me was like 19:19 seeing so many new things, like we were 19:22 moving a lot, constantly like having to take, 19:25 like even though I'd been there before, 19:26 it was just so abnormal from what we're used to 19:29 it was like sensory overload and it just 19:31 exhausted me actually. 19:33 - Yeah. 19:34 Almost like culture shock kind of. 19:35 - Yeah, mmm hmmm. 19:37 - And speaking of new things, one of the new things 19:38 that we got to see on this trip were some new 19:41 people groups that we'd never been to before. 19:42 How do you see them now? 19:46 Like after meeting them and getting to know 19:49 them a little bit from this trip, how do you see them? 19:53 - Well, because I've spent almost two months of my life 19:55 living around them, I feel like the missionary call 19:58 has a greater impact on me personally because I've 20:01 gotten to know them personally. 20:04 - Yeah. 20:05 For me, like, when you're here, it's so easy to 20:07 become desensitized to the people over there, 20:10 even if you know they're over there, but like 20:12 when you go over there, at first it's just like 20:15 a shock how many people there are that don't know Jesus. 20:18 And when you come back, it's even more of a shock 20:21 because there's so many Christians here 20:23 that could do something that aren't doing anything. 20:26 - Because they don't even know, which is sad, 20:29 because like they've distanced themselves from that. 20:31 - Yeah. 20:33 - And we live in a society that teaches us to do 20:35 everything we can to survive on our own and we 20:38 forget about them so easily. 20:40 So now that the trip is over, and we've gone back 20:43 and looked over everything that we've done, 20:45 what would you guys say to your former selves 20:47 and people that haven't gone and haven't experienced 20:50 the things that you have? 20:52 - I feel like it's really important for us not to 20:54 forget about people. 20:56 Like Mary Ann said earlier, we tend to do that 20:57 when we come home, we need to make a point 21:00 to not, and to like, pray for them. 21:02 - Yeah. 21:03 - Yeah. 21:04 And like especially keeping in touch 21:06 with different projects they all have blogs, 21:09 most of the missionaries anyways, 21:11 they have blog sites you can check out. 21:13 Just follow their life and it helps you to keep perspective. 21:17 - Yeah. 21:18 And another thing is, you could go. 21:20 It may seem scary at first, but it's one of the 21:22 best decisions you could make. 21:24 - Yes, definitely. 21:25 100% recommend it. 21:28 Well, this has been a pretty serious show. 21:31 But for the behind the scenes and the last episode, 21:33 we wanted to put together little something for 21:35 you guys that shows that mission work and 21:37 shooting shows can be really fun. 21:40 So here's a little blooper reel. 21:43 - Well, I don't want to look awkward. 21:44 (laughter) 21:46 And now I'm just laughing because 21:47 I'm afraid I look awkward. 21:49 - But we do get to share with you 21:51 (tongue twisted) 21:52 - Hey, welcome to the MissionTREK show. 21:59 - Today we are going to see some really exciting 22:00 things as well as... 22:01 - (Josh) No, smile naturally. 22:03 - I don't smile naturally. 22:06 - What are you about to laugh about? 22:08 - I'm sorry. 22:09 I wasn't and then you started smiling. 22:10 - Now I'm gonna laugh. 22:12 (laughter) 22:15 - On the way we'll be traveling through 22:16 a large part of toyla 22:18 (laughter) 22:20 I was gonna say toyland, I don't know why. 22:24 - There about 13 million people that live there? 22:28 (laughter) 22:30 - So earlier we were talking about... 22:34 That was crazy, and the roads were really windy. 22:37 - Windy?? 22:38 - That's what it says. 22:40 Windy, ohh my word! 22:41 (laughter) 22:45 Would you mind explaining just a little bit 22:46 of what that is? 22:47 - No... 22:48 (laughter) 22:52 - The next day though was really 22:53 hard because we had to travel 210 hours. 22:57 (laughter) 23:00 - (Josh) In one day! 23:02 - You even had to use your legs to like 23:04 try to make it to the top. 23:06 - Yeah, that was pretty challenging. 23:08 - Yeah, it looked like it. 23:09 - Yeah, I couldn't even touch the ground. 23:10 Oh my word, I'm not saying that. 23:13 - I don't know what you find funny, honestly. 23:17 - Every time I look at you. 23:18 (laughter) 23:20 (clapping) 23:25 - You have so many more embarrassing things 23:28 to put in the bloopers than I do, I'm just like... 23:29 - It's cause all your bloopers are just you 23:31 laughing at me making a fool out of myself. 23:33 - Yeah, yeah. 23:34 (tapping on desk) 23:40 - Please pray that Butterfly Baradis 23:42 - Butterfly Baradise. 23:44 - I know! 23:45 Please pray... 23:46 (laughter) 23:47 - And they bought a pizzeria from a dude who learned... 23:50 Dude! 23:54 - Of course like, they have... 23:58 truggles. 23:59 - (Josh) Truggles. 24:00 It's a combination of struggles and trials. 24:02 - Yes 24:03 - (Josh) They have truggles. 24:03 It's a new word. 24:05 I love it. 24:08 - We really hope you enjoyed that. 24:09 And now that we've completely lost all of your respect, 24:13 we're going to give you a little update on 24:15 some of the projects that we visited 24:16 so you can see where they are now. 24:18 - And even thought the show is ending, 24:20 those few missionaries that we met, 24:21 are still out there, still moving forward 24:23 by God's grace, through faith. 24:25 - Auntie Gail recently had the first Evangelistic 24:28 series in her part of the world. 24:30 People were baptized. 24:31 Their church has to be enlarged. 24:33 God is really doing amazing things. 24:35 - So yesterday was the High Sabbath. 24:39 That was the day we were to have a baptism 24:41 for the second time in eight years. 24:44 There were 16 precious souls that wanted 24:48 to be baptized so they were all baptized right here. 24:52 I sat right here on the bank and I took pictures 24:56 of everyone but I just had to cry tears of joy 24:59 because it means so much. 25:02 We have been through so much darkness here. 25:05 (guitar music and voices singing) 25:09 - Some experiences, you can't describe it. 25:13 You just feel good inside. 25:15 Nobody else can feel that. 25:20 - Love for Asia bought a used truck 25:21 and converted it into a mobile production vehicle. 25:24 They recorded Gail's evangelistic series 25:27 and it was the first ever Korean 25:30 evangelistic series to be recorded. 25:31 Which is really awesome. 25:33 - That is really awesome. 25:35 - We were thinking aww man it would be so much 25:37 better to have a 4x4 truck, that we could have 25:41 all our gear and roll up to any site anywhere 25:44 pull out the cameras, the gear, and then record. 25:48 It seemed like a pipe dream. 25:49 It seemed like too much. 25:51 Actually, it only dawned on me this week 25:54 that that was the dream we had four years ago. 25:57 It's really amazing how God brings things about. 26:02 There's so much potential with what we're able to do now. 26:07 - I just pray that hearts will be changed and 26:09 that many many of the people here and everywhere 26:12 that that media truck goes can be in Heaven because of it. 26:17 - And now other Korean people can listen to that 26:19 without having to go anywhere. 26:20 - Yes. 26:21 It's really really awesome. 26:22 - Yeah. 26:23 And the Sharons are seeing a renewed interest 26:26 in the Gospel at their place. 26:28 They're having a group meeting in their house 26:31 every Sabbath for singing and worship and prayer. 26:33 And God is just really blessing in their village 26:36 and their influence with the people. 26:39 - That's so great. 26:40 - Mmm hmm. 26:41 And you guys have already seen updates from 26:43 Butterfly Paradise, but now it looks even better. 26:46 There's more flowers, more butterflies and 26:49 they're getting the restaurants up and 26:50 everything is going really well. 26:52 - It's getting close to being able to be opened. 26:55 - And we're going to have to go back. 26:56 - Yes, we're gonna have to go back and 26:57 visit all those places again. 26:58 - Definitley. 26:59 - Yes. 27:00 - There are many updates and 27:01 they're happening all the time. 27:03 God is really moving and 27:04 he's asking each of us to be a part of it. 27:07 - We're so excited to have had this amazing 27:09 opportunity to see God working first hand. 27:12 - And it's been an absolute honor to get to 27:14 share our journey with you. 27:17 - We hope that you have been inspired 27:18 by this series to get involved with missions. 27:20 It will revolutionize your Christian experience. 27:23 - We want to encourage you to take your own 27:25 MissionTREK, to let it change your life, 27:27 because it will. 27:29 - Ask God how you can be involved. 27:31 He has a thousand ways and He knows 27:34 the right ones for you. 27:35 - We can all be a part of God's work 27:37 by doing, praying, going or sending. 27:39 You just have to make it a habit to stay involved. 27:42 - Thank you for joining us on our MissionTREK. 27:44 - Keep God at the center of your life. 27:46 - And always remember to pray for the unreached. 27:49 (uplifting music) |
