00:01 Adventist World Aviation
00:02 has a mission outpost in Guyana, South America, 00:05 servicing the northwestern part of the country 00:07 with Aviation Services, such as medivacs, 00:11 delivering supplies, and spreading the gospel. 00:15 This mission outpost has been in existence 00:17 for well over 10 years now and just thriving. 00:20 They use airplanes as a vital tool 00:23 to serve the local Guyanese people 00:25 and share the love of Jesus with them. 00:29 There is such a great need for emergency flights 00:31 from deep in the jungle 00:33 that they need two aircrafts to keep up 00:35 with the flight request demands. 01:29 Well, I've always said that you can fly all day, 01:32 but if you don't win anybody to Christ, 01:34 what are we doing here? 01:36 And in the beginning 01:38 we were set up to be the helpers 01:40 or the providers for missionaries 01:43 that were here working. 01:44 We don't have anybody 01:45 here that's here just working as a missionary. 01:48 And so, we found ourselves doing double duty. 01:50 We see such a need, everywhere we look, 01:53 there's, it's almost overwhelming. 01:55 With all the needs and all the opportunities, 01:57 things are just ripe here. 02:00 People coming to us and just begging for us 02:02 to come out and do Bible studies with them. 02:05 Different areas that have asked us to come and do 02:07 Bible studies with them 02:08 or start churches in their areas. 02:10 We just do not have enough time to do it all. 02:12 And we would love to have more people come. 02:15 You don't have to be a pilot to be with AWA, 02:17 we need volunteers that will come and commit themselves 02:21 for a long term like say, three to five years even. 02:25 Because it's all about developing relationships 02:27 with the people here. 02:29 And there's just, it breaks our hearts 02:32 to see how many people really do want to know more. 02:36 And we just don't have the time to do it. 02:38 Having the airplane here has really opened the doors 02:41 and to the hearts and the minds of the people. 02:44 There's been times when I've flown people in 02:46 and they become more interested on to what we know. 02:50 And they've come to us because of a direct response 02:54 to a flight that we've done. 02:57 And just being here in the community 02:58 and people after a while knowing that we are here 03:01 because we really do care about them. 03:02 We really do want to help and so, because of that, 03:05 then the doors for evangelism have really opened. 03:09 Adventist World Aviation has a very strong presence 03:12 in the northwestern region of Guyana. 03:16 Natives from far and wide know about the Adventist 03:19 because they hear of the great work 03:21 that is done with the airplanes. 03:24 The airplanes save hundreds of lives each year. 03:27 And that word spreads quickly in the jungle. 03:31 The work with aircraft opens doors 03:33 of opportunity to share 03:34 Jesus with people who are curious. 03:39 Very often the medivacs result in Bible studies, 03:43 so much so that the missionaries 03:45 have a difficult time keeping up 03:47 with all the requests they receive. 03:50 We had flown this woman 03:51 in who had gotten into treatment. 03:52 We flew her in and we're flying her back home. 03:56 And I was getting in my vehicle about to leave 03:59 and this guy came up to the window 04:00 and knocked on it, you know, and I rolled the window down. 04:03 And he said to me, 04:05 he said, "Brother, do you preach the Word?" 04:06 And I said, "Yes, I do." 04:10 And he asked me 04:11 if I'd be willing to come up to his church that Sunday. 04:14 And I said, "Well, sure." 04:16 But I said, "You know, I'm a seventh day." 04:17 That's what they call Seventh-day Adventist here. 04:19 And he says, "Yeah, yeah, I know. 04:21 I know, come please." I said, "Okay." 04:23 So I went up there and I preached in. 04:25 And then the response 04:26 was incredible, because basically, 04:28 people came up to me afterwards and hugged me, 04:30 and were just saying that 04:31 they never heard truth like this before, 04:34 and never had the Bible expound to them like this, 04:36 and it's a Pentecostal church and... 04:39 Anyway, so I was surprised, 04:42 and he invited me to come back again. 04:44 So three weeks later, I went back again, 04:46 and then I had to leave for furlough, 04:48 and I was heading home to the States 04:50 and he had communicated that 04:52 basically he had a problem with preaching 04:54 because he didn't have a lot more words to share 04:56 with the people is what he said. 04:58 He wasn't well educated in the Bible. 05:01 So I gave him a bunch of Bible studies 05:02 that he could use for sermon ideas when I was gone. 05:05 I was gone for three months, 05:06 came back and they invited me to come out 05:08 and preach again, so I did. 05:10 This time I said to him, I said, "You know, 05:11 it seems like the group 05:13 here really would like to study the Bible." 05:15 That's the impression I get when I'm preaching. 05:16 They're all turning their pages, 05:18 and they want to wait and see 05:19 what text I'm going to and I said, 05:22 "I'd be willing to come out here once a week 05:24 and do Bible studies if you'd be interested." 05:26 And he said, but I said, 05:27 "You're gonna have to make the call. 05:28 You're the pastor. 05:30 If you want to do it, 05:31 you stand up after I'm done preaching," 05:32 and asked them if that's what they want. 05:35 I sat down after preaching that morning, 05:36 he got up and asked the people and said, 05:39 "Brother Bill like to come out and give Bible studies here. 05:41 How many would be interested?" 05:43 And the whole church raised their hands. 05:45 And so I've been going out there now once a week 05:47 for the last maybe six months or so. 05:50 Over the past few weeks, 05:51 Bill has been working with this church 05:53 holding weekly Bible studies with them. 05:57 Although they're Christians of a different denomination, 06:00 they're intrigued 06:01 by the message Bill shares with them each week. 06:04 He's taken them through many topics 06:06 such as the Sabbath and life after death. 06:12 They continue want to know more. 06:15 Tonight Bill is again returning to study the Bible 06:18 with them in their church. 06:20 He will be discussing last day events 06:22 with the congregation. 06:25 He begins each meeting with a prayer. 06:28 It's so marvelous 06:30 how you've revealed these things to us 06:31 in advance before they happen. 06:33 So we as your people can be prepared. 06:36 You know, the world is going to go 06:37 through some dramatic changes. 06:38 Things are going to take place that we didn't know any better 06:41 could really frighten us. 06:42 But, Lord, thank You that 06:44 You don't give us a spirit of fear. 06:45 But, Lord, we are to trust You implicitly. 06:48 Help us to do that tonight as we read, 06:50 teach us through Your Holy Spirit. 06:51 In Jesus' name, amen. 06:54 We learned last week based upon 06:56 our studies of Daniel 2 Daniel 7 06:58 that we're talking about Rome, 07:00 but not really pagan Rome, but rather papal Rome. 07:04 It's the beast that's being spoken about here. 07:06 And over his image, over his mark, 07:10 and over the number of his name. 07:11 We learned that the number of his name was 666. 07:14 Remember last week we talked about that. 07:17 These people have gotten a victory 07:18 over the beast and over the mark. 07:21 They've not received the mark 07:22 because they've remained faithful to Jesus, okay? 07:26 So if you decide that following the way of the world 07:29 and following the majority 07:30 and following commandments of men versus 07:32 what the Bible says, you're going to receive 07:34 the mark of the beast in your forehead. 07:36 It's a decision that you make, not a mark, 07:39 not a physical mark. 07:40 But a decision that you made, okay? 07:43 But everybody's going to have to make the decision 07:45 to go along with the state 07:47 or to follow what God's Word has said. 07:49 You have to decide, and that's going to be right 07:52 before Jesus comes, 07:53 it's going to be right at the end. 07:55 It's going to come down 07:56 to that last generation on planet earth 07:58 is going to go through that experience. 08:00 It hasn't happened yet. 08:02 And I don't know how far off 08:03 we are until it's going to happen. 08:05 I do believe that God is going to come soon. 08:07 I don't think it's going to go on forever. 08:08 I'll tell you that much right now. 08:10 We're living in the toenails of earth's history. 08:12 Remember the statue of Daniel 2? 08:13 The rock comes and hits the feet. 08:16 When modern Europe is in its current condition. 08:19 The whole thing of Revelation 13 08:21 about the conflict that takes place 08:22 between the two women is not over a day. 08:25 It's not about a day. It's about loyalty, okay? 08:29 You're calling yourself something. 08:31 One is genuine and one is not. Okay? 08:35 One is following what man says to do. 08:36 The other one is following God, said, and what He said to do. 08:39 And the two are going to come at each other. 08:41 Well, one is not coming anywhere, 08:42 the other one persecutes this one, 08:44 just like Cain and Abel. 08:46 Cain killed his brother, because he was righteous 08:48 and Cain was not righteous, okay? 08:50 The issue is over worship once again, 08:52 man's way or God's way? 08:55 It's not about the day, 08:57 but it has to do with our allegiance. 08:59 God set the day aside for specific purpose 09:02 because He created the earth in six days 09:05 and He rested on the seventh day. 09:07 Okay? 09:08 And only way you can, any of the way to find out 09:10 the seventh day isn't hard to figure out. 09:12 Calendar is very clear, and also look at the Hebrews, 09:14 what day did they keep? 09:15 Jews have kept Saturday for centuries, 09:17 thousands of years, millennia. 09:18 Okay? 09:20 Naturally they have many questions. 09:22 These are Bible truths 09:23 that most of them have never heard before. 09:27 Even the pastor of the church is present 09:30 and asks Bill some questions. 09:33 Yes, there was genuine interest in these new truths 09:36 that Bill is revealing to them right from the Bible. 09:53 Brother Bill, do you think God winks 09:55 at our Sunday's worshiping? 09:56 Of course, He does. 09:57 There is many Sunday keepers going to be in heaven, my dear. 10:00 There is no problem. 10:01 The problem is, 10:03 is when you understand what's right. 10:06 You see that's the issue 10:07 because not God winks at all when you don't know any better. 10:10 When you see it from the Bible, and you understand it, 10:13 and you have to understand it, you got to really believe it. 10:16 But then you continue to keep Sunday, 10:18 there's a problem because now it's becomes sin, 10:21 because you understand what God is asking, 10:24 but you're deciding to go this way 10:25 because it's more convenient, it's easier, 10:27 everybody else is doing it. 10:29 But you know in your heart that it's not right. 10:31 That's where you have an issue. 10:33 Where you're doing it completely innocently, 10:35 God doesn't even look at that, He winks at it completely. 10:38 What is the difference between 10:40 repentance and worship? 10:46 Sunday keeping worship? 10:48 Well, repentance is, 10:49 by its very definition means, a turning away. 10:54 Turning away from sin, whatever that sin may be, 10:57 stealing, murder or whatever it is. 10:59 You're turning away from it. That means you're repenting. 11:02 So you say you're sorry to God, 11:04 and you confess the sin before Him. 11:06 But then, like Jesus says to the adulteress. 11:08 Remember He said, 11:10 "I don't condemn you, but go and sin no more." 11:12 It means that don't do it again, repent. 11:14 We can still turn our life around, 11:16 we can still follow Jesus. 11:17 Right? We can still make a decision. 11:20 There will a time 11:22 when that door of probation is going to close. 11:26 And that's when, 11:27 whoever is just, let him remain just. 11:29 I've taken them through 11:30 a lot of studies on the Sabbath and Daniel 2, Daniel 7, 11:36 you know, into Revelation 13 now, 11:39 and the light is beginning to come on. 11:41 They were very resistant to the Sabbath idea at first 11:44 and still are somewhat, 11:46 but they're beginning to see the issue. 11:47 And I think they're realizing 11:50 they've been told a lot of things 11:52 that are not in the Bible, and they need to start 11:54 making decisions about whether 11:56 or not they're going to follow the Bible 11:57 or follow man's traditions. 11:59 And so, you can keep that in prayer, 12:01 because I think the decisions are going to be 12:03 made here for the kingdom. 12:04 And I'm looking forward to seeing that happen. 12:18 I would say the ultimate goal 12:21 as a missionary is not to think that you're going to be here 12:24 for the rest of your life and be doing this work. 12:26 I mean, that's not what we're here to do. 12:28 We are here to teach, 12:32 and to train people locally, 12:36 who lived here their whole lives 12:38 to be able to begin to work and share this message. 12:42 The work that we're doing right now 12:43 among the people here 12:44 is we're trying to raise up leaders. 12:46 We probably have now 12:48 I'd say at least five or six of them 12:50 that are being gradually 12:51 trained in the doctrines of this church 12:53 and they're understanding it. 12:55 And we're working with them to be able to teach it. 12:58 The underlying goal 13:00 of the Adventist World Aviation mission 13:01 post is to share the gospel message of Jesus' 13:05 last day love truth. 13:08 The missionaries have dedicated their free time 13:10 to teaching and sharing biblical truths 13:13 with the Amerindian people. 13:16 They want to make sure that 13:17 momentum continues and the message spreads further 13:20 and further along by training and mentoring the natives, 13:25 they're ensuring that the work will continue, 13:28 and more and more people will be reached 13:30 with the love of God. 13:33 Well, I'm an Adventist, 13:35 I accept Christ one and a half year. 13:39 I... 13:40 for me, I accept Christ when I was 14. 13:44 Well then after I met Arnold, 13:47 like I kinda because we were not married. 13:49 So far the like, one or two years 13:52 I kind of drift away a little bit from church. 13:54 But then after 13:56 the Adventists members visit my home 14:00 and asked me to continue going to church 14:02 because they told me I must not be ashamed, 14:05 because I was ashamed of, you know, 14:07 living home with somebody, and you know, 14:09 knowing the truth and yet doing the wrong. 14:11 So after I decided to go back to church, 14:14 he started going to church too. 14:17 But at first he was reluctant, but after a while he gave in. 14:21 And I think, 14:23 and what brought him was a patient from God 14:27 to worship on the Sabbath, on the seventh day. 14:30 I was so rebellious against God's Word and His calling. 14:35 But one night, when in my rebelliousness 14:39 and hardness I have to say, God called me in a dream. 14:44 Like most of us will have dream. 14:46 But the kind of dream we dream sometime, it bring... 14:52 It bring inspiration in us to think 14:54 if it's only a dream 14:56 or where the dream come from really 14:59 because many of us have a lot of dreams 15:01 and we could dream a lot. 15:03 But my dream was important not only for myself 15:07 but for my family, 15:08 because I was a kind of treating my family bad. 15:12 And God said, if I have to love my family 15:16 then I will come back home 15:18 and try to do things He want me to do. 15:21 And I see that dream as my calling. 15:26 And I come back home and to my family. 15:29 I was away from, not far away, 15:32 but you know, doing my own thing. 15:34 So when I come back home, Lord started to show me 15:38 the great things He could do through me. 15:40 And so I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. 15:43 While I was being called by Jesus through my dream. 15:47 I was not really understanding fully about the Bible, 15:52 because I was not a very good read of the Bible. 15:55 Indeed, I didn't know to read. 15:57 But at one night, I kneel down to pray 15:59 and as I tell you 16:00 what my dream of coming to Christ. 16:02 I said, "Lord, if it is You that call you. 16:05 And if it is you that is going to 16:07 turn me around, 16:08 it's either You come and send an angel, 16:11 or you send someone to teach me Your Word." 16:13 And two weeks after, there was Sister Chrystal 16:19 and her husband, she was, they come move to our house 16:23 and invited me and my wife to do a Bible study 16:26 and I think that was the Lord sending them. 16:29 And I said right away, 16:30 we are willing to accept that Bible study. 16:33 And so Sister Chrystal is here and her husband. 16:36 She know the time and we started Bible study 16:39 at our house for us, 16:41 and they come over like every afternoon, 16:45 or two time a week, they come 16:48 and when we started to improve they come 16:51 like every other week. 16:52 And they tried to leave us 16:54 on our own to let me know or to catch up. 16:58 But they never leave 16:59 and they always try to comfort us 17:03 in whatever we want to learn. 17:06 I would go to her husband and he... 17:10 We would sit down and say, 17:12 all right, and myself, I know everything, 17:15 but we will see what the Lord have to give to us. 17:18 Because he wanted to make things right. 17:20 He didn't want to be living in sin. 17:22 So Greg went for humanity, helped fly him back and forth 17:28 when we had extra space in the plane 17:30 for medivacs to get his divorce finalized. 17:34 When he got his divorce finalized, 17:36 he didn't waste any time 17:38 in getting married and baptized. 17:39 They got married and baptized within the same, 17:43 like two days of each other. 17:45 And we were on furlough, 17:47 so we were kind of sad that it was happening 17:49 while we weren't there to participate in it. 17:52 But, by the time we reached back, 17:54 he'd already started holding services, 17:57 had a prayer meeting, he was doing a church plant. 17:59 Arnold is on fire for God. 18:02 He enthusiastically shares the good news 18:05 and hope of a Savior. 18:07 He's dedicated his life to ministry. 18:10 Arnold now does weekly Bible studies with adults, 18:14 and he and his wife also hold a Sabbath School 18:17 for younger children in an extremely remote village. 18:22 There's no Christian presence in this village. 18:24 And some of the children 18:26 have never heard of Jesus Christ before. 18:30 Week after week, 18:31 they make the trip to this village to sing 18:33 and teach the young children of the hope of Jesus Christ. 18:38 They're undoubtedly changing 18:40 the lives of these young children. 18:43 And it all started 18:44 with Greg offering Bible studies to Arnold. 18:48 He and Greg had been going around 18:50 doing Bible studies and he says, 18:53 he's learned a lot from 18:55 doing the Bible studies with Greg 18:56 which is the purpose of taking somebody with you. 19:00 So he was feeling comfortable enough to go do 19:03 his own Bible studies. 19:04 So now down at his school, his little shoe store, 19:07 he gives impromptu Bible studies. 19:10 And he has an outreach that is amazing 19:12 because market days are on Tuesday. 19:15 And so, people from hours down the river 19:17 will come out and talk to him, 19:19 ask him questions, bring him any Bible question 19:22 that they have. 19:23 He has Bibles that he has down there. 19:25 He hands out more literature. 19:27 He's always asking us to give him tracts and stuff. 19:31 We give him about 250 at a time, 19:33 at least once a month. 19:35 And he just is really on fire for God 19:38 and Joann is right there with him. 19:40 They recently started 19:41 a branch Sabbath school out at Brumberry, 19:44 and he has plans 19:46 for building a small church up there. 19:48 And he's just, he just plans ahead 19:51 and he also has several other communities 19:55 that have asked him to come out 19:56 and so he's trying to figure out 19:58 how he can get out there. 19:59 He doesn't feel that God 20:00 has released him from Verbena yet. 20:02 So he's still very committed to working out in Verbena. 20:06 But he's hoping to find someone who can take over Verbena. 20:09 So that frees him up him 20:11 and Joann up to go into another community. 20:14 Thy way that I've been called and the way that 20:17 I've been loved by God, by Jesus. 20:21 Oh, I can never repay that kind of things that 20:26 I used to do in the world. 20:28 So with His grace, with his for power, 20:32 with His Holy Spirit, 20:33 I'm willing just to do as much as I could. 20:37 And that's why how He delivered me 20:40 from those corruption. 20:42 I think He could use me also to help others 20:46 to come out of these corruptions. 20:49 Greg and Chrystal, they've taken Arnold 20:51 and Joann under their wings, 20:53 and are mentoring them and nurturing them. 20:56 Greg continues to teach Arnold how to give Bible studies 21:00 that will win the hearts of the people to Jesus. 21:03 Arnold is so grateful to the Van Fossens 21:06 and truly love them as his own family. 21:10 I'm a seed planter, 21:11 I don't know what the effects are exactly, 21:15 what the impact. 21:16 I see evidence when I ask questions, 21:18 for example of the individuals I'm doing Bible studies with. 21:24 I see, I get very positive responses, 21:29 it's a little bit humbling 21:31 when somebody tells you that 21:33 God has sent you to give them Bible studies. 21:37 They be with us in through, got to say in through 21:41 all our difficulty, the tried. 21:43 They helped us. 21:44 Well, Brother Greg, he was like, 21:48 what I must say, more than a friend, 21:49 more than a brother to me because... 21:51 I used to call, as now we call Brother Greg, 21:55 Arnold's father in fact because like, 21:58 any problem or anything, 22:01 he would always go to Brother Greg for advice 22:04 or what decision to make and, 22:07 you know, Brother Greg 22:09 and Sister Chrystal would always, you know. 22:10 Be there for us. Yeah. Yeah. 22:12 They would always be there for us, 22:14 always encouraging us. 22:17 Encouraging us not only in the Bible, 22:20 but they were securing us all the time 22:23 and I don't know how to thank him. 22:26 And he has been a big part in my life, 22:29 by the grace of God also. 22:31 I think God has really sent them to help me. 22:35 And whatever I'm doing. 22:37 Before we met them, 22:39 like even though we were a family. 22:42 We never had like a family law and a family, what... 22:47 A way that the family should be then. 22:50 We never go to church together or anything. 22:52 But after we met them, 22:54 they spoke with us and did Bible study with us. 22:57 Then Arnold... 22:59 Well, I always wanted to get married, 23:01 but when Arnold decided he was going to get married, 23:04 that was you know, that really touched me 23:07 and I know I really felt that, yes, God is really working. 23:11 And that is why even up today, 23:13 I thank God for sending Brother Greg 23:16 and Sister Chrystal, so that they can they what? 23:19 They can... Help us. 23:22 For them to help us to get out from where we were. 23:27 We were spiritually jailed up. Bound, yeah. 23:30 Bondage up so, the experience 23:33 and the talent that God gave to them. 23:36 I think is really amazing because through the past year 23:41 I do upgrade Bible study, and Brother Greg, 23:44 he be with me apparently more and teaches me. 23:50 He's like, more like a father to me 23:54 as you hear Joann says, 23:55 because he not only tell me or read a Bible to me, 23:59 he takes his time and he said that "You get it?" 24:02 And if I said no, he will do it over again. 24:04 And say, "You get it now?" 24:05 And if he said a third time "No." 24:07 He will say, "All right, 24:08 let's go over it, one step at a time." 24:10 He has a lot of patience. 24:12 Patience again, and that what I find in him. 24:14 And he also teaches me 24:17 how to go about the same patienceness. 24:21 And I think he brings patience 24:23 into my life with the help of Christ also. 24:27 And by accepting Christ, 24:29 he was like a father 24:30 and he was like a brother also to me. 24:33 So by the time I get married, 24:35 I was well equipped with God's words from him 24:40 that passed down through the spirit into me. 24:44 And I'm thankful now that we are not the best 24:48 or we are not perfect, but we are learning 24:52 and we are willing to help others 24:55 that to come out of the difficulty 24:57 that we also went through. 25:00 We were willing to come out from our misery, 25:04 but as you understand 25:08 that we needed help to come out. 25:12 So because of their help, we were able to come out. 25:15 So today, that is what we're trying to do with people. 25:19 We're trying to help them to come out of their misery. 25:23 And the only way that helped us to come out is Jesus. 25:28 And that is what we're trying to teach people now 25:31 to know Jesus and that He can deliver us 25:33 from any and everything of this world. 25:38 It's a pleasure to be able to participate 25:41 and work in what he's doing 25:46 and see people blossom, 25:50 see their relationship with God grow. 25:54 Making disciples 25:55 is what God called each of us to do. 25:59 The AWA missionaries here in Guyana 26:02 take that commission very seriously. 26:05 Arnold and Joann are just two examples of 26:07 how God can transform a life from shame to unending joy. 26:13 Arnold and Joann are passionate about sharing their experience 26:17 and helping others all around them experience 26:20 the transforming power of Jesus. 26:23 And to think this story all started 26:26 with the offer to give Bible studies 26:28 to a young couple. 26:30 Now, that young couple 26:32 is helping transform Northwest Guyana 26:35 with the power of God. 26:38 Yes, Bible studies are such an influential 26:42 and vital part of the work Adventist World Aviation 26:45 does in Guyana. 26:47 Both missionary families love devoting their time 26:52 working one on one 26:53 with those Jesus brings to them. 26:56 The missionaries have more requests 26:58 for Bible studies than they can keep up with. 27:02 Thankfully, God always provides love, 27:05 strength and commitment like we've seen in today's story. 27:11 God called Native Amerindians 27:14 to share the gospel with their own people. 27:17 The AWA missionary families are delighted to see 27:21 the work of Arnold and Joann because they realize that 27:24 their efforts will add longevity 27:27 to the AWA project in Guyana. 27:31 The gospel in Guyana is spreading, friends, 27:35 and souls are being won for the kingdom of God. 27:39 Their goal is long term ministry 27:44 that results in a movement 27:46 to transform this region of Guyana. 27:49 By mentoring individuals, 27:52 they know that the work will continue 27:54 long after the LaBores 27:56 and the Van Fossens leave this area. 27:59 And the good news of Jesus' last day saving love message 28:04 will continue to spread 28:06 throughout the jungles of Guyana. 28:10 The beautiful thing about 28:11 it is they have a great passion for the work, 28:14 they want to reach their people. 28:16 And I love seeing that, 28:19 I love seeing the fire in their eyes 28:21 and the desire to go out 28:22 to anywhere God calls them to work. 28:25 It puts us all to shame, honestly, 28:28 the way that they see things, they don't see anything 28:31 more important than sharing the gospel. 28:33 Nothing gets in their way. 28:34 And, so that's the ultimate goal 28:38 of the project is to raise up 28:39 as many of those as we can possibly get going 28:42 before we close up here sometime in the future, 28:45 although it won't be happening anytime soon. 28:47 But we pray that one day we've planted many, 28:51 many seeds here that when we leave, 28:54 those seeds will continue to grow and more churches 28:57 can be planted, more companies can be started 28:59 and more people will be in the kingdom 29:02 because of the work we've done here. 29:04 Arnold and Joann, they got baptized, 29:07 and they started holding services 29:09 out in Verbena. 29:11 We go out there to give them moral support. 29:14 We're there to answer questions and stuff. 29:16 But we want to empower the natives to do that. 29:19 So when we leave, they're not left with, 29:22 oh, we don't know what to do, we can't function. 29:25 But they're like, oh, yeah, this is our church. 29:28 This is, they own it. 29:31 They know how to go out and do the ministry. 29:33 They've got some really big ideas. |
