Sure. 01:13 Because you came on short notice. 01:15 That's right. It's okay. 01:16 And so you were able to come tonight. 01:18 God has been doing a lot of things in your life, 01:20 and in your ministry, and your books that you've written, 01:23 and placing them in maybe new places that many Christian books 01:28 have not been able to get into. That's right. 01:29 And especially a number for our Adventist authors. 01:33 But God is doing a lot of things. 01:35 I want you to share whatever is on your heart tonight. 01:37 I know that you have some other messages that have been really 01:40 near, and dear, and on your mind also. 01:42 So we just want to thank you once again from the bottom 01:45 of our hearts for our viewers. 01:46 We know that they love you, and they support the message 01:49 that you're preaching, because they tell us about it 01:51 in their letters. And when we go places they say that we 01:54 appreciate... And how many of you will let Steve know that 01:56 you'll continue to pray? 01:57 He's on the front lines, and every hand should go up. 02:00 Because we need to be praying for our people that's on 02:03 the front lines; on the battle fields of the Lord. 02:05 Satan is not happy with Steve Wohlberg. 02:07 Satan would love to see Steve dead. 02:10 That's all there is to it. 02:11 He wants to see you destroyed because the message that you 02:14 have been giving over 3ABN, and around the world, 02:16 is exposing him for who he is. 02:19 And that he's losing ground quickly. 02:21 So we're going to uplift you, ask God for a continued 02:24 protective hedge about you and your ministry, that you can 02:27 continue to herald about the soon coming Savior, 02:31 our Lord Jesus Christ. 02:32 God bless you! Good evening! 02:44 I guess I am a minuteman. 02:46 And I certainly wasn't expecting this. 02:47 Danny called me yesterday and he said, Can you do it? 02:50 And I said, Well, if you'll fly me up there, I think I can find 02:54 someone to preach in my church tomorrow, and I'll come. 02:57 So the Lord worked it all out and they'd booked my ticket 03:00 before I got off the phone. 03:01 And so here I am, and I'm just thrilled to be here. 03:07 It's a great privilege to be on the air, live, and with you, 03:12 and with other people that are going to be watching this, 03:14 and are watching this around the world. 03:16 Since we are live, I hope you don't if I just say hello 03:18 to a few people, one of whom is my wife. 03:21 My wife Kristin Wohlberg is not able to be here, 03:24 but she's probably watching this right now. 03:26 And honey, I love you. 03:27 It's been twelve hours since we've been apart, 03:28 and I miss you already. Ha ha! 03:31 So I just want to honor my wife. 03:34 And we also have a little baby eight months old, 03:36 and I think he's awake, and she's probably holding him 03:38 right up in front of the screen. 03:40 Hi Seth, baby Seth. It's your Daddy talking to you. 03:42 He is just the love of our lives. 03:45 And I'm going to share a little bit more about him. 03:47 I also want to thank my church at the Templeton Hills Adventist 03:50 Church for allowing me to take some excursions, 03:53 to leave them for some time, and to come here. 03:56 I have a great church there, and we also have a team, 03:59 and we actually have a ministry called The End of Time Insights. 04:02 We have a radio show, and we produce TV programs, 04:05 plus a lot of books. 04:07 And we just do a lot of things. 04:08 And we get a lot of responses from what's on 3ABN a lot. 04:11 And it's just a real joy to us. 04:14 I have a team that I work with. 04:16 Ralph Green is part of that team, Sherry Labbins, 04:19 and Fran, if you're watching, we love you, too. 04:21 She'll probably be shocked to hear her name, Fran McDonald. 04:24 She's a big part of everything we're doing. 04:26 I've got a lot to share with you. 04:29 Danny, as I mentioned, called me yesterday, and he surprised 04:32 me and he said, Come on up. 04:34 You're on the West coast and we're on the West coast. 04:36 And we'd just like you to come up in the pinch and do this. 04:39 And he said, Share what's ever on your heart. 04:40 Tell us what's going on with your ministry. 04:42 Talk about what God is doing. 04:45 And so I thought about all that. 04:46 And I thought, Well, there is a lot going on right now, 04:48 and I certainly have a lot to share. 04:50 So I put together some thoughts, and I'm going to bring them 04:54 together. And we're going to have a Bible study as well. 04:57 So if you have a Bible open your Bible's up to the book of 05:01 Revelation, Revelation 18. 05:04 And the title of my message is very different from probably 05:09 anything you've ever heard; you've probably never heard. 05:11 A lot of the evangelists that are on 3ABN, sometimes we swap 05:13 titles, you know, of our talks. 05:16 But this one nobody has. 05:18 No one's got this title. 05:19 This is going to be completely unique. 05:21 It's called Sorcery, Baby Seth, and the 05:27 Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 05:29 Have you ever heard that title before? I doubt it. 05:32 And it will all make sense when I'm done putting 05:35 all of this together. 05:36 Sorcery, Baby Seth, and the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 05:40 Revelation 18. We're going to start with verse 1, 05:46 and then we're going to got to verse 23. 05:48 First we're going to talk about sorcery, about witchcraft, 05:51 about Wicca witchcraft, which is a movement in this country, 05:57 and around the world, that is getting bigger, and bigger, 05:59 and bigger all the time. 06:00 I don't know if you've heard of it or not, 06:02 but it's out there big time. 06:04 So let's bow our heads and let's just have a prayer again. 06:06 I know we've already prayed, but I always like to pray before 06:08 we read from the Bible. 06:09 Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that I can be here; 06:13 that we're live on 3ABN. 06:15 People are watching us around the world. 06:17 And we just pray in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son 06:22 that the Holy Spirit will be here, and use me, 06:25 and impress people powerfully with the truth that the Bible, 06:30 and above all with the sacrifice Father, that You were willing 06:34 to make when You gave Your Son to die 06:37 for the sins of the world. 06:38 In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. 06:41 Okay, sorcery. If you look at Revelation 18:1; 06:47 many of you know this verse. 06:48 This verse is talking about a move of God in the world' 06:52 a burst of light right before the end. 06:55 Chapter 18, verse 1 says, After these things I saw another angel 07:01 coming down from heaven having what? he had great powers. 07:06 Some Bible's says great authority. 07:08 Power, notice that word power. 07:10 And the earth was lightened with His glory. 07:13 So here's an angel coming down. 07:15 He's got power and there's light. 07:18 And the whole earth is going to be lightened 07:20 with the glory of God; the glory of this angel. 07:24 And I want to be part of that, don't you? 07:26 In my whole... my dream is to be a part of this. 07:29 Now as you read this whole chapter; chapter 18 tells us 07:32 there's a lot of things in this world that need light. 07:36 In fact there's a lot of darkness. 07:37 This whole chapter's talking about Babylon, 07:39 the deceptions of Babylon, the fall of Babylon. 07:41 And if you go down to verse 23, at the very end of this chapter, 07:46 right as Babylon is going down God says, And the light of a 07:51 candle shall shine in you no more at all. 07:57 And the voice of the bridegroom, that's Jesus, and of the bride 08:00 shall be heard no more at all in you for your merchants... 08:04 A lot of money being made. 08:06 ...For your merchants were the great men of the earth, 08:09 for by your... And what's that next word? by your sorceries, 08:15 the King James says and the New King James. 08:16 By your sorceries all the nations were what? deceived. 08:21 Right. And this is a non-fiction prophecy predicting that sorcery 08:27 is going to captivate the world. 08:30 And if you go back to ancient Babylon, sorcery was very much 08:34 a part of Babylon, wasn't it? 08:35 Daniel 2, remember? 08:36 Daniel and all the sorcerers that couldn't interpret 08:39 the king's dream, but Daniel could? 08:41 Sorcery is connected to Babylon, and this verse says that 08:44 the whole world is going to be deceived by 08:47 the sorcery of Babylon. 08:49 If you look at chapter 21, verse 8, Revelation 21:8. 08:53 Here's another passage about sorcery. 08:55 Revelation 21:8 says, The fearful, and the unbelieving, 09:02 and the abominable, and the murderers, and the whoremongers, 09:06 and the... And what kind of people are mentioned here? 09:09 It says the sorcerers, right. 09:11 It's sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their 09:15 part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, 09:17 which is the second death. 09:19 So sorcerers; this is going to be a big category of people 09:24 at the end of time. 09:25 If you go to chapter 22, the last chapter of the Bible, 09:28 the very last chapter. 09:30 If you look at verse 14 it talks about those who keeps God's 09:34 commandments, and they go into the city. 09:37 Verse 15 says, for without, or on the outside of the city, 09:40 are dogs, it says. 09:41 And then what's the next group mentioned there? 09:44 Sorcerers, okay? What does your Bible say? 09:47 I heard those who practice magic. 09:51 Any of your Bibles say witchcraft? 09:53 Okay. Well, practice magic, sorcery, alright. 09:57 And then if you keep reading it lists other kinds of people: 10:01 whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, 10:03 and whoever loves and makes a lie. 10:05 And these people are outside of the New Jerusalem. 10:08 So chapter 18 talks about the sorcery of Babylon 10:11 deceiving the world. 10:13 Chapter 21 talks about sorcerers going into the lake of fire, 10:16 and chapter 22 talks about sorcery and sorcerers being 10:21 outside of the city of God; outside of the New Jerusalem. 10:24 And so when you put these pieces together it's very clear 10:27 that sorcery is a major player, isn't it in the end times? 10:32 And there's other verses in Revelation that I 10:34 haven't looked up. 10:35 There's quite a few in the Bible about this. 10:39 My little baby, our little baby, is probably still watching us 10:44 right now. I don't think he can understand this, 10:46 but at least he can recognize his father's voice. 10:50 He was born in July of last year, July 22nd. 10:56 He's in his eighth month right now. 10:59 A couple of months before he was born, my wife and I were 11:02 sitting in a lobby of a medical center not far from our house. 11:06 And we were waiting for her appointment with her OB-GYN, 11:10 who was monitoring her pregnancy. 11:13 And as we sat there waiting, you know, twiddling our thumbs, 11:16 and reading a parenting magazine or something, 11:19 waiting for the nurse to call her in, 11:22 the door opened and a woman walked in who was probably 11:26 in her, I don't know, mid-twenties. 11:28 She had long dark hair. 11:30 She was dressed in black, which was a little bit unusual 11:34 for a Spring day in May. 11:36 And she was carrying a book with a full moon on the cover. 11:40 And she sat right in front of us. 11:42 And I tried not to, you know, stare at her. 11:46 I tried not to look too conspicuous, but I just glanced 11:49 at her, and I saw her reading this book with the moon on it; 11:52 full moon. And as I just watched this, you know, the wheels were 11:57 turning in my mind. 11:58 And within a couple of minutes the lady stuck her head through 12:01 the door and said, Kristin Wohlburg, 12:03 it's time for your appointment. 12:04 And so we got up, and as we walked toward the door I 12:08 glanced back at this lady, and I noticed that she was 12:11 wearing a necklace with a five pointed star with a circle 12:16 around it, which is called a pentacle or a pentagram. 12:20 Now I can't say for sure that she was a practicing witch, 12:23 but I can tell you that the signs definitely fit; 12:27 the signs definitely fit. 12:28 I don't know how many of you are aware of this right now, 12:32 but there is a movement growing in this country, 12:35 and around the world, and it's called Wicca Witchcraft. 12:40 How many of you are familiar with this? 12:41 Let me just see some hands. 12:43 Okay, about half of you. 12:45 It is really getting big. 12:48 It really started spiking in the 1990's and into the year 2000. 12:53 There are, I hate to say this, but there are kids, 12:58 even under ten, and there are teens and young adults 13:02 around the country, and around the world, that are visiting 13:05 popular witchcraft websites. 13:08 And there's a lot of them out there. 13:09 More than you would want to know about, or any of them. 13:13 They are buying spell books on the internet fast, rapid-fire. 13:18 They are mixing potions, they're joining covens, and they are 13:21 learning how to practice magic. 13:24 This movement was really... 13:28 It's become so big that in the year 2004, last year, 13:32 it was actually noticed by the media. 13:35 And report after report came out, 13:38 including National Public Radio. 13:40 They did a big story. 13:41 I don't know if any of you heard it. 13:43 It was on the show, All Things Considered, 13:45 which is a big huge radio show. 13:47 It was coast to coast, twenty minutes, and it was called, 13:50 Teens and Wicca, Teens and Wicca, May 2004 talking about 13:54 the growth of witchcraft and how so many kids, that parents don't 13:58 even know it. They're hiding underneath their beds. 14:00 They're hiding little altars, little candles, books. 14:03 And they're learning how to practice magic 14:05 in their bedrooms. 14:06 And that's just the tip of the iceberg. 14:10 The kind of people that are practicing Wicca are not people 14:14 that are on the fringe that you would think, you know, 14:16 people kind of way out there, but they are mainstream people. 14:19 They are doctors, and lawyers, and sales people, mechanics, 14:23 teachers, students, CEO's, secretaries, house wives; 14:29 just about anybody in our society. 14:32 It's just, it's all the way across the board. 14:35 Wicca Witchcraft is now recognized by the United States 14:38 Federal Government as a legitimate religion. 14:40 There is a strong presence in the military. 14:44 My wife has a cousin who now he's actually out of the country 14:49 but he used to be at Fort Hood. 14:51 And there's a strong presence of Wicca there in the military 14:56 right at Fort Hood. 14:58 And it is really big on high school and college campuses. 15:01 I've got a number of books up here that 15:03 I'm just going to reference. 15:04 This one... Now I'm not recommending that you read 15:08 these books, but I have done a lot of research on this, 15:11 because God has led me; He's led me into a lot of different 15:13 areas in my life. 15:14 And in the last year or so He has unexpectedly led 15:18 me into this arena to do research on this. 15:21 I have a new book that just came out called, Hour of the Witch, 15:24 where we talk all about this. 15:25 We have a TV series actually that we produced, 15:27 and it's being edited now, that deals with this. 15:30 This book, Rocking the Goddess, just came out 15:33 just a couple years ago, and it says, Campus Wicca 15:36 for the student practitioner. 15:38 And at the back of this book there's a whole list of 15:41 countries around the world, and universities, and college 15:46 all throughout the United States, coast to coast, that 15:49 have pagan student associations: Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, 15:53 Louisiana, Michigan, Massachusetts, California. 15:56 They're all listed here: New York. 15:58 And it lists all these different colleges and universities that 16:01 have pagan student associations where kids are coming together 16:05 and under the umbrella of permission from the faculty, 16:08 are learning about Wicca Witchcraft. 16:11 And this is what this is talking about. 16:13 It says on the back here that Wicca is now one of the fastest 16:16 growing religions in the United States, 16:20 especially among college students. 16:23 So we're talking about something big. 16:25 I remember when I was in high school, 16:27 North Hollywood High School. 16:28 This was, Oh how long ago? 77, that's when I graduated. 16:32 So you can date me now. 16:34 I'm forty-five. Ha ha. 16:38 Forty-five: hair's still getting greyer by the day. 16:42 But anyway, when I was in high school, North Hollywood High. 16:44 I wasn't raised in a Christian home. 16:45 I never went to Academy. 16:47 I remember back in those days, and Elly Valley College 16:50 for two years before I went to La Sierra, that there were a lot 16:54 of things going on on the public campuses. 16:56 There was a lot of drugs, there were gangs, there were... 17:00 All kinds of things were happening. 17:01 But as far as witchcraft, I mean there wasn't any witchcraft 17:04 that I was aware of. 17:05 We never heard that name. 17:07 We never heard the word Wicca. 17:09 None of the friends that I knew, that this just wasn't there. 17:14 But times have completely changed. 17:15 Just last, was it maybe, I think it was two weeks ago, 17:18 I was in Missouri. 17:20 No, it was just last weekend. Boy, time files. 17:23 Last weekend I was in Missouri, and I held, I did a series 17:27 of meetings for the Mid America ASI Conference, 17:30 at a little town called Hollister. 17:32 And there was a girl that was coming to the meeting. 17:35 She was part of a family. 17:36 She was fifteen years old. 17:37 And as we were sitting around the table talking she said 17:40 to me that she has a friend, and she goes to public school. 17:42 And she said one of her friends is really into Wicca. 17:45 And so she's wondering how do I reach this person? 17:48 How do I pray for them? What do I do? 17:51 One of my church members said they saw a 17:53 license plate of a car. 17:54 It drove right by the church on the way to church one morning. 17:56 And it said 100% Wiccan. 17:58 Another group of our church members go to a local prison 18:02 and they minister to people in the prison. 18:03 And one of the ladies told me that there's a license plate 18:06 she always sees there, about Wicca that's there from somebody 18:10 that either works at the prison or goes there. 18:11 And it's there all the time. 18:13 There's a lady that I know that I baptized. 18:18 Her name is Shea. 18:19 She was coming to our meetings. 18:21 We had Bible studies. 18:22 She eventually accepted Jesus into her heart, 18:24 and she was baptized. And she told me later on that she had come 18:25 And she told me later on that she had come out of Wicca, 18:30 or at least that was one of the things that she was into 18:31 in her BC days; in her days before Christ. 18:35 I like to call it my BC days before I became a Christian. 18:38 And once I discovered that I said to her, I said, Hey, Shea, 18:43 We're doing a documentary on this topic. 18:46 We're gathering information for television. 18:48 And could we interview you on this? 18:51 And she said to me, I'll never forget it, she said, Well, 18:54 it's a little bit of a drive for me to get to where you're 18:56 going to be filming. 18:57 And she said, I've got a better idea. 18:58 She said, I've got a friend of mine. 19:00 Her name is Diana, and she is a real witch. 19:03 And she said, You don't want to interview me. 19:05 Why don't you interview her? 19:07 So she e-mailed me her phone number, Diana's phone number. 19:10 She said, Give her a call. 19:11 And how did she say it? 19:12 She said, She's a kick. You'll love her. 19:14 That's what she said. 19:16 She's a kick. You'll love her. 19:17 So I thought okay. Wow! 19:20 I had this phone number. 19:22 I prayed about, and I finally decided to give her a call. 19:24 So I talked to her one afternoon. 19:26 We talked on the phone for an hour. 19:28 And in the course of the conversation we talked 19:31 about a lot of things. 19:32 And I had a chance to share my faith in Jesus with this woman. 19:36 She asked me a lot of questions. 19:37 I told her about the book, The Desire of Ages, and what that 19:40 book had done for me; how Christ had changed my life, 19:43 bringing me out of Hollywood, out of drugs, 19:45 and out of a lot of things. 19:46 And when we were done with the conversation she said to me, 19:49 she said, Steve, I would really like to read that book, 19:51 that Desire of Ages on the life of Jesus Christ. 19:54 And I said, Sure, I'd love to give that to you. 19:57 And I asked her if we could pray together. 19:59 And so I prayed a prayer to a loving God in the name of 20:02 Jesus Christ for this woman who who is practicing 20:06 Wicca witchcraft. 20:08 There's a lot of people out there just like her; 20:10 people that are searching, people that are confused, 20:12 people that are trying to find answers, 20:14 and they are exploring this religion. 20:17 Now why is this happening? 20:19 What's happening in our country? 20:20 Why are so many people getting into this these days? 20:22 I'm going to give you three reasons: 20:24 1. Hollywood. Hollywood, television programs, and movies 20:29 that are glorifying magic. 20:32 2. The internet, the proliferation of the internet, 20:36 and the ease by which people can just type in some witchcraft 20:40 address, and they can go right on a witchcraft website 20:44 and learn all about spells, and potions, and magic. 20:47 3. The proliferation of books that are pouring off the press 20:52 right now, all about witchcraft and magic. 20:54 And a lot of them are for kids. 20:57 As far as television goes, Sabrina the Teenage Witch... 21:00 This is a big series. 21:01 Kids have watched it all around. 21:04 And it's about magic: this woman who has magical powers. 21:08 Another one is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 21:11 Have you heard of that one? 21:12 It was one of the biggest, hottest shows 21:14 that ever came out. 21:15 A lot of young people watched that show. 21:18 Buffy has a friend in the series. 21:20 Her name is Willow, nicknamed the Willow Witch. 21:22 And there's an internet site that, the official site, 21:25 that talks about her. 21:26 And she's listed in her bio as student and witch. 21:29 And she's become a role model for kids. 21:32 Another series is called the Charmed series; 21:34 if you've ever heard of that. 21:35 One time I was down at my mother's. 21:37 And my mother's not a Christian. 21:38 And she had a big TV there in the living room, 21:39 and the Charmed series was on. 21:41 So I just, you know, kinda glanced at it. 21:44 And I'd done some reading about it. 21:45 It's about three sorceress sisters who practice magic, 21:50 and they fight against evil. 21:52 They're supposedly good witches. 21:54 And they're very; these witches are very sexy, 21:58 and beautiful, and powerful. 22:00 Now when you think of the word witch, 22:03 what do most of you think of? 22:05 You think of, okay, Danny says, you know, 22:07 the big hat, the black hat. 22:08 You probably think of an old hag with a long nose, 22:12 and a wart on the nose. 22:13 You know, that's kind of the view that a lot of Christians 22:17 have of witchcraft. 22:18 Well, I tell you, times have completely changed. 22:20 I've got a book here and it's called 22:23 The Truth About Witchcraft Today. 22:25 If you can see the picture of that girl on there, 22:27 she's a young woman, sexy, professional. 22:29 She's got her suit on. 22:31 And this book is all about witchcraft. 22:33 The witches of today are young, and sexy, and powerful. 22:38 They have a total facelift compared to the way 22:43 they used to be portrayed. 22:44 Another movie called The Craft came out in 1996 22:47 about four witches in high school. 22:49 That was really big. 22:50 Another one is The Witches of Eastwick. 22:53 Cher was in that film. 22:55 Practical magic with Sandra Bullock; that's another one. 22:57 And, of course, above all is the Harry Potter series. 23:01 Harry Potter, these books, there's seven 23:04 books in the series. 23:05 And Warner Brothers has committed to making seven 23:09 moves based on each book. 23:11 So far five books have come out. 23:13 The sixth book is on the horizon. 23:15 It's coming out in July. 23:16 Maybe you saw the NBC Today show. 23:19 They had an unveiling just about a week ago of the cover 23:22 of the next Harry Potter book. 23:24 And I mean they did it with big fanfare. 23:26 And when July 16 comes this coming summer, it's going to be 23:30 national, it's going to be global news. 23:32 There are no series of books that have been published 23:36 that have sold more. 23:37 They sold over 260 million copies. 23:40 Harry Potter, about a young boy who's a sorcerer, 23:45 going to a wizard school called Hogwart School of Witchcraft 23:48 and Wizardry, learning how to develop his magical powers, 23:51 and who fights evil with the flick of a wand. 23:53 That's Harry Potter. 23:54 So far there's five books out. 23:56 I mentioned the next one's coming in July. 23:57 The next movie; there's three movies out. 23:59 The fourth one is coming out in November. 24:01 And there's four more movies on the horizon. 24:03 So this thing is going to be around for a long time. 24:06 And what's happening is a lot of kids are watching 24:08 Harry Potter, and reading his books, and it's very easy 24:11 to take the next step from the fantasy world of Harry, 24:13 to the real world of Wicca witchcraft. 24:15 And I tell you, a lot of kids are doing just that. 24:19 That is exactly what's happening now. 24:20 Then the internet; I mentioned all the websites 24:23 that are out there. 24:24 And then as far as books; I've showed you just a couple 24:26 of these books. I've got three of them up here. 24:29 I'm going to give you a website. 24:32 I'm going to tell you a website where you can go on there 24:35 and you can find hundreds of books about witchcraft, 24:38 and sorcery, and Wicca. 24:40 And you're not going to believe the name of this website. 24:43 You don't have to go to a New Age bookstore in San Francisco. 24:49 All you have to do is go onto the computer and type in 24:53 www. Wal-Mart. com It's all you have to do. 24:58 Wal-Mart. com, and you'll find hundreds of titles that deal... 25:03 Try it! Type in Wicca on Wal-Mart. com 25:07 Type in witch, type in witchcraft. 25:09 You'll see all these books: The Truth About Witchcraft. 25:11 You'll see Rocking the Goddess. 25:13 And you'll see this book called, Teen Witch, 25:16 Wicca for a new generation. 25:18 Here you can see five teenagers on the front. 25:21 This book is written by a lady named Silver Ravenwolf, 25:24 who is a practicing witch. 25:26 This book is for teenagers. 25:28 The first chapter is a chapter written for parents, 25:31 so when the kid comes home with this book, 25:35 and the Mom or the Dad is concerned, 25:37 the child can give this book to the parents and say, 25:39 Read the first chapter. 25:40 And Silver talks to the parents. 25:43 She, this lady, is a mother of four. 25:46 She does not believe in smoking, no drinking. 25:48 She has high moral standards. 25:50 She does not believe in immoral sex. 25:53 And she's a witch. 25:55 She's a best selling author. 25:57 She's been interviewed by the New York Times. 26:00 And she used to be a Baptist. 26:02 And she tells her story in this book; how she left the Christian 26:07 religion and shifted to the craft. 26:12 And her testimony is being duplicated by teenagers 26:18 all over this country right now. 26:21 Now I don't have time to go into the details of what this 26:25 religion is all about. 26:27 It's in the TV series; it's in the book, 26:29 and there's just, there's so much. 26:31 But I can tell you one surprising thing. 26:33 Most people when they think of witches today, 26:36 they think of people that, you know, they go, 26:39 they're real scary, they paint their faces, and some of them 26:42 do, but most of them don't. 26:43 And they drink blood, and they sacrifice animals, 26:46 and things like that. 26:48 Isn't that what most people think? 26:49 And they worship the devil. 26:50 They worship the devil, but guess what? 26:52 I'll tell you, witches, modern Wiccan's don't 26:54 even believe in Satan. 26:55 They don't believe there's a devil at all out there. 26:58 And that's one of the dangers. 27:01 They believe that nature has a lot of energy, 27:04 and they call people to nature. 27:06 They say get out in nature. 27:08 Spend time out there in the country. 27:09 And that's not a bad thing, is it? 27:11 Get out into the country? 27:12 And they offer people power, spiritual power. 27:15 And don't we need spiritual power? 27:17 I mean if I told you about a religion that invites you to 27:19 come to the country to connect with nature; 27:21 how you can find spiritual fulfillment, satisfaction, 27:24 and how you can connect with the power source that will help 27:27 you in your life, and get you out of things that are bad 27:30 and direct you in things that are good, 27:31 wouldn't that sound good? 27:33 Well, guess what, that's what Wicca witchcraft claims to do. 27:36 Exactly that. That's exactly what it's saying. 27:39 They feel that nature has energy, and that they can tap 27:43 into that energy, and then they can channel it 27:46 for good purposes. 27:47 Good purposes, like help you with your homework, 27:49 help you with your love life, help you with your finances, 27:54 all kinds of practical things. 27:56 Modern witchcraft is called white witchcraft. 27:58 Wicca witchcraft is called white magic. 28:00 And Silver Ravenwolf says, I don't want anything to do 28:02 with anything that is dark. 28:03 Nothing that's evil. 28:05 I only want to be involved in things that are positive, 28:08 and wholesome, and healthy, and healing. 28:10 That's what they're saying. 28:11 That's what they're teaching. 28:12 Now open your Bibles to the book of Acts 26, Acts 26. 28:17 And let me share with you something extremely important. 28:22 Where's my little book on this? 28:27 This little book, The Truth About Witchcraft Today, 28:30 has a very significant statement. 28:33 As I mentioned, Wiccan's don't believe in the devil. 28:36 They believe that the universe is full of power, 28:39 and that they can tap into that power and channel it 28:42 for good purposes. 28:44 And this is what it says here. 28:45 This is one of these little books about witchcraft. 28:48 It says, The power at work in folk magic is just that. 28:50 It is power. It is neither positive nor negative. 28:53 It is neither good nor evil. 28:55 It is the intention and the goal of the magician working 28:57 with the power that determines whether it is used for 29:01 helpful or harmful ends. 29:02 So, basically they're saying that power that's 29:05 out there in the universe is a neutral power. 29:08 And if you tap into it, and channel it for good purposes, 29:11 you're a good witch. 29:12 That's what they're saying. 29:14 That's the philosophy. 29:15 Now if you look at your Bible, Acts 26, and if you look at the 29:21 18th verse, the Bible... 29:24 This is a very significant passage. 29:26 According to the Bible there's not just one power out 29:30 there that is neutral. 29:31 How many powers are out there? two powers. 29:36 Acts 26:18. Jesus told Paul that He was sending him out 29:41 into the darkness of the world, He said, to open their eyes 29:46 and to turn them from darkness to light, 29:50 and from the power of who? from the power of Satan to God. 29:58 Right. The power of Satan to God. 30:01 According to the Bible there are two powers out there, 30:05 and these two powers are both personal, 30:09 they're both intelligent. 30:10 One of them is perfectly moral, and holy, and loving, and good. 30:16 And the other one is totally wicked, and malicious, 30:20 and destructive, and deceptive, and subtle. 30:23 And that is the power of the devil. 30:27 And we are in the midst of a power struggle right now, 30:31 aren't we? Between the two powers. 30:34 And I praise the Lord that 3ABN is a major channel 30:38 for the right power in this world. 30:41 Two powers. Now don't we all need power? 30:44 Don't fallen human beings need power? 30:47 We do. We all need power. 30:49 And Wicca is offering people power. 30:51 But the problem is that because Wicca witchcraft doesn't believe 30:56 in the devil, when they tap into power that they think is neutral 31:00 and try to channel that to good purposes, they don't realize 31:04 that they are opening themselves up to being invaded 31:08 by the powers of darkness, the powers of Satan. 31:11 And they have no clue what they're getting into. 31:15 Absolutely no clue. 31:16 There is a real battle going on, a real struggle 31:19 between two powers, and we're in the middle of it. 31:22 And this is another very significant point, 31:24 is that this verse says, Jesus sent Paul, He said, to turn them 31:29 from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. 31:33 To turn them from darkness to light. 31:36 One of the reasons why Wicca is so appealing to people today 31:39 is because it is offering people power that they don't have 31:44 to give anything up in order to get. 31:50 Now did you catch that? 31:51 The natural human heart going the direction of the world, 31:57 Wicca is saying, We'll give you power, just the way you are, 32:02 spiritual power to lift your life, and do whatever you want 32:05 to do, but you don't need to change. 32:08 You don't need to give up anything. 32:11 This verse tells us that in order for us to get the power 32:15 of God, we need to make a decision to turn away from evil. 32:19 If you go down to verse 20, at the bottom of the verse, 32:22 Paul says that they should repent and turn to God. 32:27 Now it concerns me also that I think sometimes that even in 32:30 church services sometimes, people think that, you know, 32:34 if the music's right, and if the service is right, 32:36 that people can just get the power; they can tap into the 32:39 power without repentance. 32:41 Can't do that. We can't tap into God's power without 32:46 repentance. Now I'm all for good music, 32:48 and I'm all for a good service, but the Bible says we need to 32:52 turn away from darkness, to turn to the light; 32:55 from the power of Satan to God. 32:57 And that is something that witchcraft has no clue. 33:01 Turn to Romans. Turn to the right. 33:03 You're in Acts, just turn a couple pages to the right. 33:05 Turn right and look at chapter 15 verse 13. 33:10 Romans 15:13, Romans 15:13. 33:21 I was reading this verse on the way here; 33:25 just meditating on this. 33:26 It's a wonderful passage. 33:28 Paul said, Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace 33:35 in believing; believing the Bible, believing in God. 33:38 That you may abound in hope through what? through the power. 33:44 The power of who? of the Holy Spirit. 33:49 That's right. There is power available to us. 33:52 There's a power we don't want to be involved in, 33:55 and a power we do need to connect with. 33:58 And God's power is moral and perfect. 34:00 And it is called the power of the Holy Spirit. 34:04 There's a friend of mine said... 34:05 It was Ivor Myers. 34:06 You know Ivor. You interviewed him recently. 34:08 Ivor works with me. 34:09 He's a good friend of mine, and his wife Atonte. 34:11 We've been doing radio programs together. 34:13 And Ivor said there's one thing, well, among other things, 34:16 that Satan cannot do. 34:17 He can give you power, but he cannot give you 34:20 power to do right. 34:22 He can't do that, because he doesn't have that power. 34:25 That power only comes from the Holy Spirit. 34:30 Now, so we know there's two powers in the world. 34:33 We've read that in Acts 26:18. 34:35 We know that God's power is the power of the Holy Spirit. 34:38 Let me just kind of zero in on that a little bit more, 34:41 and unpack that. Romans 1:18, Paul says, I am not ashamed 34:50 of the gospel of Christ for it is what? 34:55 It is the power, right, the power of God for salvation. 34:59 So God has power, but His power is not just, it's not just 35:04 a force. It's a personal force. 35:07 And the power of God is centered in the gospel. 35:11 And the gospel reveals the power of God. 35:17 And this is a very important point. 35:18 That the greatest manifestation of God's power ever witnessed 35:23 in the universe, in the history of the universe, 35:26 is the power of God's love when the Father willingly offered 35:37 His Son as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. 35:44 John 3:16, Let's say it together. 35:48 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten 35:53 Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, 35:58 but have everlasting life. 36:01 That's right. So we need power. 36:04 The power of God is in the gospel. 36:07 And the greatest manifestation of that power is the power of 36:11 His love in giving His Son. 36:14 I've really been impressed with that text, 36:17 especially in the light of the things that have happened 36:22 in my life with my wife in the last eight months. 36:27 I don't know how many of you... 36:29 I was at Soquel, California holding a series of meetings 36:33 in the main auditorium at our camp meeting last July. 36:37 And I still remember. 36:38 It was a Wednesday. 36:39 It was July 21. I was preaching in front of the big audience. 36:42 It was being broadcast over the Tri-angel Broadcasting Network, 36:46 over the internet. 36:47 Did any of you see that? 36:48 I don't know. Probably not. 36:50 Well, anyway, I was preaching and my topic was 36:52 The Seven Years of Tribulation. 36:54 That was my title. 36:55 And there was something like the monitor right there. 36:57 There were some monitors in front of me. 36:59 It was in the main auditorium. 37:00 And as I looked at that monitor, right in the middle of my sermon 37:06 on The Seven Years of Tribulation, 37:08 the monitor started flashing. 37:10 And the flashing, it said, Labor now, labor now, labor now! 37:15 Now I had told the crowd, in fact I'd introduced my wife 37:20 to the group, and had her turn to the side, you know, 37:22 so everybody could see how she was doing. 37:24 And I told the crowd, I said, Now Kristin is due August 15. 37:30 But if by chance Seth comes early, baby Seth comes early, 37:34 I'm leaving. Well, when I saw that flash: 37:39 labor now, labor now. 37:40 I looked at that. I stuttered, I stumbled, and I said, Ah, ah, 37:43 Ah, ah, ah, I gotta go. 37:45 So the guys came up, helped me, you know; my laptop, 37:53 and close it down, and rush me to my room, 37:55 and grabbed all my stuff, and threw it in my car, 37:58 and I was on my way. 38:00 I was on my way to the hospital where my wife was. 38:03 Now I knew that she was in the hospital. 38:05 But I didn't know things were happening like that. 38:08 Earlier that morning she had been to her OB-GYN and they had 38:12 noticed, strangely, a slight irregularity in the 38:16 baby's heart rate; just slight. 38:18 And they decided to bring her in the afternoon 38:21 into the hospital, and to monitor her for a couple 38:24 hours; two hours of fetal monitoring. 38:26 And I knew that. But Seth wasn't due for weeks, and this was just 38:31 a routine kind of thing. 38:33 But I was a little bit nervous about it. 38:35 So anyway, when I saw that sign, man, I just, 38:37 I flew back to the hospital. 38:40 And when I got there I found out what happened. 38:41 What happened was when she was hooked up to the monitor, 38:45 the nurse; she was just reading a book. 38:47 She had no idea what was going on. 38:49 And all of a sudden she started having four minute long 38:52 contractions that she didn't even feel. 38:54 And Seth's heart rate went down from 150 beats a minute, 38:58 down to about 90. And it was dangerous. 39:02 I mean the danger zone. 39:03 And the doctors or nurses just rushed in with one of those 39:05 And the doctors, or nurses, just rushed in with one of those 39:06 carts, slapped a mask on Kristin's mouth, and just, 39:12 you know, ushered her out. 39:14 And put all these other tubes on her, and she was terrified. 39:17 She was terrified. 39:19 What is happening? 39:20 Well, they were able to bring his heart rate back up, 39:23 and she stabilized, and Seth stabilized. 39:25 But it was scary because we didn't know how many times has 39:27 this been happening in the last couple of weeks? 39:29 How many times has his heart rate gone down? 39:32 Has that effected the oxygen content to his brain? 39:35 We don't know. We didn't know. 39:37 So they decided, once I got to the hospital, 39:40 and we talked about this. 39:41 They said that the next day they were going to give her a drug, 39:44 and try to induce labor, and hope that Seth would come 39:47 the normal way. Well, the next day they tried to do that, 39:50 and there were still long contractions, 39:53 and his heart rate was fluttering, and the doctors 39:55 finally decided this is it; he's coming out tonight. 39:57 We're just going to do a C section, 39:59 and he's coming out tonight. 40:01 Wow! So I went home, grabbed some more things, 40:05 brought them back to the hospital, and prepared to be 40:08 there for four days. 40:09 And that night was the night. 40:11 She was supposed to go in at 6:30, she finally got in there 40:14 about, or maybe 5:30, got in there at about 6:30. 40:16 7:00 o'clock the doctors brought me in with my little mask on, 40:21 and I was nervous because I didn't know what was 40:25 happening with our baby. 40:26 I've never had a baby before! 40:27 It took me 41 years to get married. 40:30 And it took me almost 5 years to have a baby. 40:33 And this was all new to me, and new to my wife. 40:36 So, anyway, they cut her, and her face was behind a sheet. 40:42 And I went and talked to her, and prayed, and then went around 40:46 the sheet, and I was right there. 40:48 And there were four nurses right behind me in case I fainted. 40:52 I said, I know why you're back there. 40:54 Just in case I don't make it through this! 40:56 And so the next thing that happened was the most amazing. 41:00 They did the incision. 41:01 Dr. Thomas, a wonderful man... 41:03 I looked down and I saw this little head pop out. 41:07 He was facing that direction, and I was on this side. 41:10 And he said, Okay, here he is! 41:13 I'm going to turn his little head around. 41:15 And I looked. And then Dr. Thomas said all of a sudden, 41:19 push! And one of the nurses went poof, and the next thing 41:24 I knew, this little baby came flying out of there 41:29 like a missile from a launch pad. 41:34 And I looked, and he came out and he just, he went, Huh! 41:38 He breathed, Huh, Ah! And he screamed. 41:41 Ha, he screamed. And they grabbed him and they put him 41:44 right down next to me on this little table, 41:47 and he's waving his arms wildly, you know. 41:50 He looked great! I mean he had all ten fingers, and all ten toes. 41:54 He had a nose, eyes, a mouth. 41:55 And I've actually got, I've got 13 pictures of him right here 41:59 in my pocket, and my wife. 42:02 I'll show them to you after the meeting. 42:04 I'm a hooked husband and father. 42:09 Well, anyway, the doctors put him down right next to me. 42:16 And this kid was screaming and crying, and I looked at him, 42:20 and I said, Seth, Seth, it's your Daddy. It's your Daddy. 42:26 As soon as I said that he put his little hand on his mouth, 42:33 he opened his eyes, and he kinda looked around, 42:37 and he immediately stopped crying. 42:39 Total, total, he was still. 42:43 And do you know why he did that? 42:45 Because he heard his father's voice. 42:47 He knew his father's voice. 42:51 Because we'd read him Bible stories, 42:53 and we'd prayed for him, talked to him. 42:55 And I thought, Wow, my baby knows my voice. 42:59 I thought, Father, how I need to know my Father's voice. 43:04 And I have learned so many lessons from Seth's birth, 43:10 I cannot begin to tell you. 43:12 6 lbs. 15 ozs., 20 inches. 43:23 The first sermon I preached in my church after he was born 43:25 was called, Lessons From Baby Seth. 43:27 Ha! A whole series of lessons! 43:29 It's like a conversion experience. 43:34 I've always been leery of having kids. 43:37 I always thought, Too much responsibility. 43:41 I don't think I'm ready for this. 43:42 That's why it took me a long time, you know, to get married, 43:44 and finally have a baby. 43:46 Well, when Seth... 43:47 And I also did not like the idea of changing diapers, 43:49 that's for sure. Did not want to do that. 43:52 And I actually dated some girls before I met Kristin, 43:57 that had one or two children, and I always got cold feet. 44:01 I just wasn't ready for that. 44:02 I'm being real honest with you here. 44:04 But after Seth was born, when he came out, and they cleaned 44:08 him up, and I carried him down the hallway to some friends. 44:12 Ivor Myers was right there with his video 44:14 camera taking pictures. 44:15 And they brought him in this little room. 44:18 And the pediatrician examined him, and he shook my hand, 44:20 and he said, You have a very healthy baby. 44:22 Congratulations! And I was so excited. 44:25 When we finally took him home four days later, 44:30 and I laid him in this little crib there. 44:33 I laid him down and I looked at him. 44:36 I had this intense desire for Jesus to come. 44:42 Now I've wanted Jesus to come for twenty-five years. 44:45 But when I saw Seth, this little baby, I had this longing 44:51 to raise him in heaven. 44:52 And I thought, How much do we really want the Lord to come? 44:55 How much do we really want God to get us out of there? 44:57 How much do we really want to have all of this end? 45:01 All of this pain, and all of this suffering end? 45:03 Another thing that impressed me was the innocence. 45:06 He's so innocent! I just look at his little face, 45:11 and he's got huge eyes. 45:13 I don't know if you know about Brad Thorpe. 45:15 Brad and I were talking not long ago, and I was holding Seth 45:18 down in Semi Valley. 45:19 Brad and I were talking, and Brad looked at... 45:22 We were talking and he looked at Seth and Seth opened his big 45:25 eyes, and he just went, Wow! 45:26 He's got really big eyes. 45:28 You can actually see some pictures of him on my website. 45:31 We have a website, truthleftbehind. com, 45:34 thetruthleftbehind. com. 45:35 Anyway, the innocence of a child. 45:40 And when I looked at that, you know, click. 45:42 I mean lesson, after lesson, after lesson. 45:44 My fathers voice, and the lesson of innocence. 45:47 And I thought to myself, We've lost our innocence! 45:50 We've been corrupted by the world. 45:53 We all have. And the reason why Jesus came was to get us back. 45:59 To restore that which was lost. 46:03 The innocence of a child. 46:09 The biggest lesson I learned, of all the lessons; 46:12 one night, sometimes he doesn't sleep, always at night. 46:19 I guess that's the typical question they ask parents is: 46:22 Is your baby sleeping through the night? 46:24 We always get that. 46:26 Well, sometimes he doesn't quite make it. 46:27 And I remember one time, it was late, and I picked him up 46:30 and he was crying, and I brought him into the living room. 46:32 And I was just carrying him around, you know. 46:33 One o'clock in the morning or something; 46:35 just carrying him around, carrying him around. 46:38 And all of a sudden it just hit me like a bolt, like a bolt. 46:43 God gave His Son to save my son. 46:50 And I thought about that. 46:53 I thought, God sacrificed His Son to save my son. 46:57 And then I thought, Would I sacrifice my son? 47:01 Those of you that are parents, you know, your child. 47:05 Would you sacrifice your child for a lost world? 47:09 most of whom could care less about your son or your daughter? 47:14 Would you do that? 47:16 And I thought about that, and I thought, I don't know if I'd 47:18 be willing to do that. 47:19 And then I thought, you know, that's what our Father did 47:24 in heaven. He sacrificed His Son. 47:32 Sorcery teaches that the power that is out there is neutral. 47:37 That's not true. The power that is out there, 47:42 there's two powers: one is evil, malicious, 47:46 and deadly, and destructive. 47:48 And the other one is perfect, and more loving than you 47:52 can have any idea, any idea. 47:54 And the greatest manifestation of that love is the Father's 47:58 willingness to sacrifice His Son. 48:02 When I was five years old, my appendix erupted. 48:07 I was with my Dad. 48:08 We were down in Coronado with my brother, and my Mom. 48:10 My appendix erupted. 48:12 They rushed me to the hospital. 48:13 It was life or death, because back then medical science 48:16 wasn't as advanced as it is today, and I could have died. 48:18 And I remembered my Dad. 48:20 I still remember. He brought into this room, through the 48:22 double doors, and I was, he was holding me in his arms. 48:24 And this strange man walked through the double doors 48:27 with a mask on, and a robe on. 48:29 And he grabbed me, and he wanted to take me inside this room 48:34 by myself, away from my Dad. 48:36 And I cried, I screamed, and I gripped my Dad's neck as hard 48:42 as I could. And my Dad told me, we're as close to this day 48:46 He said, the hardest thing he's ever had to do was to take my 48:50 little fingers and pry them out, and hand me to this stranger 48:56 to take me through those double doors into the operating room 49:00 so that He could save my life. 49:02 And I didn't understand any of that; 49:04 that I had to be separated from my father, in order for my life 49:12 to be saved. You have a Father in heaven who loves you more 49:18 than you have any idea. 49:20 And He was willing to sacrifice His own Son so you would feel 49:30 that power, the power of His love, and make a choice 49:35 to turn from sin, the bad things, and embrace Him 49:40 so He can put His arms around you, and forgive you, 49:43 cleanse you, make you innocent again, make you new again, 49:47 so He can save you, and bring you to be with Him forever, 49:52 and ever, and ever. 49:53 That is the power of the gospel. 49:55 God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever 50:00 believes in Him should not perish, 50:02 but have ever lasting life. 50:05 That's what Jesus did. 50:09 Now do you understand the title of my message? 50:10 Sorcery, Seth, and the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 50:18 It's all there, it's all there. 50:20 God has led me into this arena. 50:24 In the time that I've got left, let me just share with you 50:27 some very, very exciting things. 50:29 As I mentioned, we've put this together as a television series. 50:32 It's now being edited. 50:34 A lot of information. 50:35 I just kind of shared just the surface of this. 50:38 It's in the book. We know that we are in spiritual warfare. 53:01 We have felt it already, and we know it's going to continue. 53:04 But God is bigger than the devil, and God has a plan, 53:09 and a message that's powerful, to lighten the whole 53:12 earth with its glory, lighten the whole earth with its glory. 53:16 And that's why we're here. 53:17 That's why you're here, that's why 3ABN is here in different 53:20 ways to preach God's message as far, and as fast as possible. 53:25 I don't have time to share it right now, 53:27 but inside The Hour of the Witch book, and it should be on the 53:30 website too, there is going to be the testimony of a young 53:34 woman, her name is Pam, and actually Lonnie Melashenko 53:36 is going to baptize her in about ten days from now, 53:40 nine or ten days. She grew up in the church. 53:43 She went off into Wicca. 53:45 She got deeply involved, almost lost her life, 53:49 went through a terrible experience, and finally God 53:54 opened her eyes, reached down into the darkness and got a hold 53:57 of her, and brought her out. 54:00 And we're in touch regularly through e-mail. 54:02 And her testimony is powerful. 54:04 She's been there. She knows what Wicca is about. 54:07 It's not friendly, it's not white magic. 54:09 They say it is, but the devil's in there. 54:12 The devil's in there, and Pam knows it. 54:15 She's been in it and God brought her out of it. 54:17 And we just praise the Lord for people like her, 54:20 and for others that God is delivering from the powers 54:23 of darkness, and bringing them into the light of His Son. 54:27 Our time is almost over, at least for me. 54:30 Let's go back to Revelation, and let me just wind this up. 54:34 Revelation 18. We know that verse 1 says 54:43 the light is going to shine. 54:45 Revelation 18:1 says another angel is going to come down 54:49 from heaven with great power, and the earth is going to be 54:52 lightened with His glory. 54:54 Verse 23, this is God's last call to Babylon. 54:58 And may the Lord open our eyes that we don't get sucked up 55:01 into these things. 55:03 Verse 23 says, And the light of a candle shall shine no more 55:08 at all in Babylon. 55:09 And the voice of the bridegroom, that's Jesus, and of the bride 55:13 shall be heard no more at all in you in Babylon for your 55:17 merchants were the great men of the earth; 55:19 for by your sorceries were all the nations deceived. 55:24 Real sorcery is going to deceive real nations at the end of time, 55:29 and that wave is here right now. 55:32 We're in the final days. 55:34 Aren't we Danny? We're in the final days. 55:37 And in the midst of all of this may God inject His light, 55:41 His power. And the heart of His power again, is His love. 55:47 The love of a Father giving His Son to save the world from sin. 55:52 May God help us, may He use us, and may He help us as we work 55:56 with people that are involved in Wicca. 55:58 Because you know what? Jesus died for witches, too, 56:02 for Wiccans, too. He loves them just like He loves you. 56:06 And may the Lord help us all to share the love of Jesus 56:10 Christ before it's too late. 56:12 Thank you for the chance to be here. |
