01:00 Welcome back, good evening everyone.
01:03 We're glad to see you again at Digging Up the Future, 01:06 Bible Prophecy Exposed 01:07 and we've been digging up the past 01:09 but now we're gonna be looking from the past to the future 01:13 in the prophecy section of our seminar. 01:15 And we're delighted tonight to have a new guest with us. 01:20 Actually, for the reminder of our seminar time 01:23 we said good bye to Tony Moore. 01:25 Wasn't it great to have Tony here? 01:27 And now that's great isn't that wonderful. 01:30 And we're now going to say a hello to Louis Torres 01:33 and you'll meet him just in a few moments. 01:35 And one thing that we like to do 01:37 as we study Bible prophecy 01:40 one thing for sure is to ask the Lord's presence. 01:43 Because He inspired these prophecies 01:45 and He can help us understand. 01:47 And so would you join me and bow your head 01:49 as we pray together. 01:50 Father in heaven, we're thank full 01:52 that You're the God not just the past 01:55 but also You're the God of the present 01:57 and You're also the God of the future. 02:00 And we ask that You would be with us here 02:02 as we look at the past, 02:03 we look at the future through Your word. 02:06 And we thank You and we come in Christ name, amen. 02:10 All right, we have a new theme song 02:12 I want to have you learn with me. 02:14 The words are right up on the screen, 02:16 "Jesus is coming again." 02:20 And let's go ahead and try it together. 02:22 Marvelous, message we sing. 02:28 I want you to stand with me 02:29 as we sing this song this evening 02:32 "Marvelous, message 02:33 we bring glorious carol we sing." 02:35 Let's try it together. 02:39 Marvelous message 02:41 we bring Glorious carol we sing 02:47 Wonderful word of the King Jesus is coming again! 02:55 Coming again, Coming again! 03:02 May be morning, may be noon 03:05 May be evening, utterly soon 03:09 Coming again, Coming again 03:16 O what a wonderful day that will be 03:22 Jesus is coming 03:26 Again 03:31 Sung a wonderful song, you can be seated. 03:33 What a wonderful song. 03:35 We had during prelude time 03:38 we were graced with some music 03:39 by Chris Albrecht on the trumpet. 03:43 And now he is going to play another song 03:45 I think some of you may know, "His Eye Is On the Sparrow." 05:51 Beautiful isn't it. 05:53 It's thrilling to have young people 05:55 to be able to play like that. 05:57 Chris was just having a competition, 05:59 international competition in New Jersey 06:02 and he was blessed with winning second place. 06:07 Would you say amen about that? 06:14 Abraham Lincoln our first president 06:16 our not first president but wonderful beloved president 06:20 had a dream, very unusual dream. 06:24 And in his dream he heard the sound of moaning 06:29 and weeping and crying. 06:33 He found himself going down the staircase 06:38 and chasing the, the sound noise down 06:44 and he came to the great room here. 06:47 And see saw the Heads of States surrounding somebody 06:52 who he could not recognized. 06:54 And so he asked the question "Who is dead" where? 07:00 "In the White House." 07:02 And the response was the president 07:05 he was killed by an assassin. 07:11 Abraham Lincoln told that story 07:13 to one of these servants of the White House. 07:17 And the amazing thing is this 07:22 that it wasn't long after his dream on April 14, 1865 07:29 that Abraham Lincoln was assassinated. 07:33 And the very place that he reported to that servant 07:37 where he had seen this coffin 07:42 with the person he could not recognize 07:44 is the very place where they laid him. 07:47 And so some dreams do what? 07:51 Come true. 07:56 Centuries ago as Tony had mentioned to you 08:00 Nebuchadnezzar, the Great King of Babylon 08:02 likewise had a dream. 08:06 The scripture reveals by the way, 08:07 if you, have your Bibles I welcome to open to your Bibles 08:10 because this is a prophecy seminar 08:13 and what I would like you to do 08:16 is to make sure that you check up on what I say 08:19 so that you can see that it's right there. 08:23 What do you say? 08:24 And by the way I don't mind you saying, amen. 08:30 All right, that means to me that you got it 08:32 and that where at that point and that we can move on. 08:34 Will you say, amen? Amen. 08:36 All right. 08:37 And so Nebuchadnezzar 08:40 had this dream a longtime ago, 08:44 in a place called Babylon 08:46 and which today it is called Iraq or Iraq. 08:51 When he had this dream he woke up 08:55 not being able to remember precisely what it was 08:58 but it troubled him sufficiently 09:00 that he wanted to be able to remember it. 09:02 How many of you have had a dream which you could not remember, 09:05 any of you--but it had such an impact on you 09:08 that you wish you could bring it back? 09:11 Well, Nebuchadnezzar had that experience and so 09:15 to his fortune that is he had counselors 09:19 who claimed that they had the ability to 09:23 give interpretations to dreams. 09:25 So Nebuchadnezzar thought if you can interpret it 09:28 you certainly can tell it as well. 09:32 So since, you could not remember it, 09:35 the scripture reveals that he called his counselors. 09:39 Now, Iraq as Tony mentioned 09:43 has a lot of historical background. 09:46 And I want you to understand something about Iraq. 09:49 First of all the Garden of Eden was 09:52 between those two rivers we're told. 09:54 So in Iraq the Tower of Babel is built where? 09:58 In Iraq or Babylon. 10:01 The Abraham came from, Ur as you heard tonight. 10:04 And Abraham was not a Jew 10:06 but he was an Iraqi or a Chaldeen. 10:10 And of course Jacob got his wife from where? 10:14 Haran which is in Iraq. 10:16 Then of course, Jonah preached in Nineveh 10:19 that which was in Iraq. 10:22 And then of course, 10:23 Daniel the Prophet had his vision where? 10:26 In Iraq or Babylon. 10:28 And the Wise Men who brought gifts to Christ 10:30 came from the east 10:32 and the east was where you supposed? 10:34 Out there in Iraq. 10:36 So many major historical events 10:41 and people actually came from that country 10:45 which today is so much in the news, Iraq. 10:51 When Nebuchadnezzar had that particular dream 10:55 the Bible says that he called his counselors together 10:58 as he recall 10:59 and in Daniel 2:2-12 11:02 you could read the dream for yourself 11:04 and you could see what it transpiring 11:08 before Daniel interprets the dream. 11:10 The king calls together his counselors. 11:12 He says, I had this dream, I can't remember it. 11:14 Please tell me what it is. 11:16 They said, tell us what it is and we'll interpret it for you. 11:19 And he said, I can't remember it so you tell me it. 11:21 They said, no, no, no you're asking us to do something 11:23 no one can do, can never do. 11:25 You're asking something that what the God's. 11:26 And so Nebuchadnezzar being short tempered said, 11:30 look, if you don't tell me what the dream is 11:32 then I know you guys are phonies 11:34 and so we're going to make sure that you get cut off 11:38 and so either you tell me or your heads. 11:41 Well, they couldn't. 11:42 So the king got angry the Bible says 11:45 and they sent the order for of to go 11:49 gather all the wise men and to get rid of them. 11:53 One of those wise men was Daniel. 11:57 And Daniel for some reason 11:59 was not in the audience at this time 12:01 but Ariok the captain of the guards 12:04 actually told Daniel what was taking place. 12:06 Daniel then begs for time. 12:10 And he did what all of us should do 12:13 when we're in trouble. 12:14 And what is that? 12:15 We should pray. 12:17 Daniel got together with his friends 12:19 and had a prayer meeting. 12:20 And should I say this to you. 12:23 There was a time when I was an atheist 12:25 and I didn't believe in prayer. 12:27 I didn't believe that there was a God. 12:32 But I can tell you today that I know there is God 12:36 and I know He hears prayers. 12:37 What do you say? Amen. 12:38 And so Daniel prayed-- God in mercy 12:43 then revealed to Daniel the answer 12:47 that he was seeking for 12:48 and he came before the king of course 12:51 and shared the dream with the king. 12:54 And told the king that the purpose of this dream 12:58 was to reveal what would happen when, what does it say? 13:01 In the what? 13:02 Latter days or in the last days. 13:06 In other words think of it friends, 13:08 God gave to an Iraqi king a dream 13:13 that would have an impact on earth's history 13:16 all away into the latter days. 13:20 You can understand why then 13:22 Iraq has played such a, a role in biblical history. 13:27 What do you say? Amen. 13:28 Now listen, as Daniel comes before that king 13:33 and begins to reveal the dream-- 13:35 if you have your Bibles with you as I've mentioned 13:38 look at chapter 2 and I want you to notice 13:40 as we read then verse 31-32. 13:44 Daniel explains to the king that he saw an image. 13:49 And it says then verse 31 that 13:52 "This great image, whose brightness was excellent, 13:54 stood before thee 13:56 and the form thereof was terrible." 13:59 And so Daniel now is unfolding this sad dream 14:04 and says that Nebuchadnezzar saw an image. 14:07 Then it says that this image head was of gold. 14:10 It says then that breast were of silver, 14:13 the waist was of brass, the legs were of iron 14:18 and the feet were iron and clay. 14:21 But it doesn't stop there 14:23 then it says that there is a stone 14:25 which is cut off without hands 14:27 and comes down and smashes that image 14:30 and that image becomes like the chaff 14:32 of the threshing floor. 14:33 And then it says that that stone that's cutout without hands 14:37 becomes a great mountain that fills the whole earth. 14:42 Now you're gonna imagine of course Nebuchadnezzar 14:46 listening to his dream being unfold. 14:52 As the dream is unfolded can you think to yourself 14:58 if you had gone to somebody 15:01 and they had told you exactly what you had dreamt, 15:04 what you would think of that person? 15:08 Won't you be struck with alarm think to yourself 15:10 this person has some connections. 15:13 Yes or no? Yes. 15:15 And so as Daniel reveals this particular dream 15:20 and the image with the stone and finally becoming a mountain 15:25 Nebuchadnezzar of course is very greatly impressed. 15:29 But now the interpretation 15:31 and the interpretation is found in verse 36 and on. 15:36 If you'll notice then Daniel begins to explain 15:39 the particular meaning of this particular subject 15:44 and Daniel as he is explaining it 15:46 the king is listening very intently 15:49 and notice what Daniel says concerning the interpretation. 15:54 Notice now that in reference to Babylon 16:00 Daniel says-- 16:04 "thou art a king of kings." 16:06 Verse 37 16:09 "for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, 16:11 power, and strength, and glory. 16:14 And where so ever the children of men dwell, 16:18 the beasts of the field, and the fowls of the heaven 16:22 hath he given into thine hand, 16:25 and hath made thee ruler over all of them 16:28 thou art this head of gold." 16:33 So the Daniel says what did the head of gold represent? 16:38 Nebuchadnezzar and his kingdom. 16:39 Thou art what? 16:41 This head of gold. 16:42 Well, he must have been pleased to hear 16:46 Daniel say "you are the head of gold." 16:52 Now, as Tony shared with you 16:55 that of the place where the Daniel lived 17:00 was a marvelous world. 17:02 Hanging gardens, etcetera. 17:04 I have been to the Pergamon Museum 17:07 in Berlin, Germany. 17:08 Any of you had been there, any of you? 17:12 During the war Hitler was very interested 17:16 in the remnants of Babylon 17:20 and he actually went and took a whole 17:23 section of the wall of ancient Babylon 17:25 up to Germany. 17:27 And you can actually go and see one of the gates 17:28 and see one of the partial of the walls. 17:33 Babylon being a very exquisite empire 17:36 Nebuchadnezzar believes that this would be 17:38 the final empire of earth's history. 17:41 In fact, we're told that the archeologists 17:45 are discovered tablets, business tablets 17:49 written during the time of Nebuchadnezzar 17:51 and his business ventures. 17:54 And a letter that he wrote 17:56 which is inscribed on this particular tailored stone 17:59 and the back of it had something inscribed 18:02 and this is what it had inscribed 18:05 "May it last" for how long? 18:07 "forever." 18:09 Nebuchadnezzar wanted his empire 18:12 to be the final kingdom on earth's history. 18:16 But God had other plans. 18:22 "May it last" for how long? 18:24 "forever." 18:25 God had already predicted 18:26 look at the in the Prophet Isaiah 13:19-22. 18:31 Notice that God had already said 18:33 "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, 18:35 the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, 18:37 shall be as when" what? 18:40 "When God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah." 18:44 And let me says this to you folks, 18:46 when God says something, will it happen? 18:49 Yes or no. Yes. 18:50 You can count on it. 18:51 And so God said that Babylon will be overthrown. 18:56 And so Nebuchadnezzar of course 18:59 was very displeased with that. 19:01 And we're told then that later on in chapter 3 19:04 Nebuchadnezzar builds a statue 19:07 not of gold, silver, brass and iron 19:12 but builds a statue about 90 feet tall of gold. 19:17 He did not like the rest of the metals. 19:21 He wanted to ensure that his kingdom would last forever 19:24 but you cannot defy what God says. 19:29 And so that Babylonian Empire 19:34 was conquered by the Medes and the Persians 19:37 according to history and it was overthrown 19:41 in the year 539 BC. 19:43 In fact what's interesting is that 19:45 later on in the Book of Revelation 19:47 which we'll study later on 19:48 you'll discover that it's that it speaks about 19:51 the River Euphrates drying up. 19:54 Are you acquainted with that phrase? 19:56 All right, it is reference to what happened with Babylon. 20:02 What took place with Babylon is that, 20:04 that the Medes and the Persians actually diverted the river 20:08 and dried up the bank of the river 20:11 or should I say they furthered river 20:12 and actually climbed underneath the gate 20:16 which were unguarded and they went in 20:18 and conquered the Babylonian Empire. 20:23 So the river Euphrates was dried up 20:26 and so the significance to that later on 20:30 as we study in the Book of Revelation. 20:36 Finally, the scripture reveals that the silver then 20:40 would not be the lasting empire as wealth 20:42 but the silver would also come to its end 20:45 and the scriptures says that the, 20:47 brass would then supersede or overcome this silver. 20:53 Now, I want you to notice something interesting 20:54 what's happening. 20:55 It starts out with gold 20:57 and it becomes inferior and by into silver 21:00 and then finally brass is inferior to silver. 21:05 And so we see something taking place. 21:08 We see a decline taking place here. 21:11 But none the less we see one empire 21:16 being conquered by another empire 21:18 and then being conquered by another empire. 21:21 Think of it friends, God has revealed to this king, 21:25 this Iraqi king the future of the kingdoms 21:30 not just in his time but far into the latter days. 21:35 And so we have covered now notice from the year 606 BC 21:40 we have come all the way down to the year 168 21:43 because the Grecian Empire 21:45 who conquered the Medes and the Persians 21:47 lasted from 331 BC until 168 BC. 21:55 Now, we'll remember that 21:56 once who conquered the Medes and the Persians of course 21:59 its leader of the Greeks was Alexander the Great. 22:05 Most of us have heard of Alexander the Great. 22:08 And Alexander was the young man. 22:11 There're many stories about Alexander, 22:13 he actually desired to conquer the world 22:16 and he pushed his armies and pushed them 22:19 and pushed them and pushed them 22:20 until finally they got pretty tired, 22:23 they were almost up to India 22:25 and they decided not to continue. 22:27 Alexander got upset with them and tried to force them, 22:30 they refused to go. 22:31 So Alexander separated himself from them 22:34 and said I got to go talk to the guards. 22:36 And so he came back and says 22:38 the guards have told us to go back home. 22:41 But he was so angry that he decided 22:43 that he would march on through the desert and so he did. 22:47 And the purpose was he was planning that in the desert 22:50 many of those soldiers would die. 22:53 And he lost thousands of the soldiers in the desert. 22:57 Finally, Alexander himself died 23:01 and his kingdom was divided into four kingdoms. 23:05 And so there came the end to the Grecian empire. 23:10 Well, the scripture reveals then that after the Alexander 23:16 whom "There seems to be some divine hand 23:19 presiding over his birth and actions." 23:21 We know then that 23:23 the Roman Empire came into place. 23:25 And On June 22nd, 168 BC at the Battle of Pydna, 23:30 the Grecian empire perished after a 144 years 23:36 of the death of Alexander the Great. 23:39 Well, we have now gone from the Babylonians 23:42 to the Medes and the Persians, the Greeks and now the Romans. 23:47 Of course, you know that the Rome then ruled the world. 23:51 And Rome is considered to be the Iron Monarchy. 23:54 Rome was a very mighty and apparent fact it seems 23:58 that Rome was the one that outlasted 24:00 all the other empires as far as duration is concerned. 24:03 Now, notice some interesting things 24:06 about this is that 24:08 it was during the Roman Empire that our Lord Jesus Christ came 24:12 and became a man and dwelled among man 24:14 and died for your sin and my sin. 24:18 It was during that time then that 24:21 the Christian church was established 24:23 after the death of Christ. 24:25 It was during that time 24:26 that the apostolic church was given birth 24:30 and the gospel then began to go not just to the Jews 24:33 but to all of the world. 24:36 And so the result of the Roman Empire 24:40 conquering the world was that it so organized the world 24:43 that it made a very easy for the gospel to be preached. 24:48 There were roads all over Europe. 24:50 In fact, today if you still go to Europe, 24:53 how many of you visit Europe, any of you? 24:55 If you visit Europe, Switzerland and other places 24:57 they're still remnants of the Roman Empire. 25:00 Have you seen them? 25:01 I have been to Spain, Switzerland, Germany, 25:03 Austria and wherever I go 25:05 I'm always interested to see some artifacts 25:08 or some remnant of the Roman Empire. 25:10 Its amazing right there in Spain in the place called Sagunto 25:14 they actually have a Roman theatre 25:17 that is still being used by the Italians 25:20 who come and sing opera there. 25:22 I have visited that place because I love music 25:26 and I love history. 25:28 And so there are many remnants of the Roman Empire 25:30 and you've heard the saying "All roads lead to" what? 25:34 "The Rome." 25:35 Yeah, so that and that you are saying is still with us today. 25:39 Many people still use them "All roads lead to Rome." 25:44 Well, according to the scriptures then 25:47 the Bible reveals and the history 25:51 historian Edward Gibbon says 25:53 "The images of gold, silver or brass, 25:55 that might serve to represent the nations and their kingdoms 25:58 were successively broken by the Iron monarchy of Rome." 26:04 Now, Rome then continued until 476 AD. 26:11 And the question is, is always intriguing and that is 26:14 we have talked about 26:16 the Medes and Persians and Babylonians 26:17 and we've talked about the Grecians 26:19 and we have talked about the Romans 26:21 and as you see so far each metal aptly represented each empire. 26:28 For example, the Babylonians loved imported gold. 26:32 The Medes and Persians loved silver. 26:35 The Grecians made brass. 26:39 And of course the Romans worship the God of iron. 26:44 And they use iron quite a bit. 26:49 And so we have gone through the four empires 26:51 and the next question is this. 26:53 All the other kingdoms were conquered 26:55 who conquered Rome? 26:59 No one conquered Rome. 27:01 Now think of this, think of this. 27:05 So far the Bible has given us 27:08 an accurate description of the future of those empires. 27:11 Isn't that true yes or no? 27:13 Yes or no? 27:15 Yes, think of the, the marvel of it 27:19 that God in one dream in one sweep of a chapter 27:24 has unfolded everything that would take place 27:27 in reference to the general history 27:29 of these empires 27:30 and just as the Bible predicted in, 27:33 in the 600 years before Christ 27:37 it actually took place precisely as God said it. 27:40 Now the Roman Empire is not conquered 27:43 but it crumbles it falls apart. 27:46 Rome was not conquered basically 27:48 Rome was divided from within. 27:53 Which is interesting. 27:56 It again underscores the reality 27:58 that the Bible is what? 28:00 True. 28:02 What do you say? 28:03 The Bible is true. 28:07 But listen, there is more about this prophecy. 28:11 Notice that the, last part of the image is made of what? 28:18 Iron and clay. 28:20 Notice that that it is the feet 28:27 and the Bible says then that the iron becomes iron and clay. 28:34 Can you see that? 28:38 If that is true then, then we must, 28:40 we must be able to find in Europe the reality 28:43 because Rome actually ruled what part of the world? 28:48 Most of Asia but primarily Europe, okay. 28:52 And so yeah, we must be able to find the remnants of Rome 28:57 as the divided kingdoms some that are weak 29:00 and some that are what? 29:01 Strong, okay. 29:03 And the question is this did that happened? 29:06 Did after the fall of Roman Empire 29:09 did there arised kingdoms some that were strong as iron 29:13 and some that were as week as clay? 29:16 What's the answer? 29:17 The answer of course is, yes. 29:19 If you were to look at the 29:22 basically the Roman Empire and its, its territory 29:26 today the names remain the ancient names 29:29 where like the Lombards, Alamani, the Astrogoths, 29:32 the Visgoths et cetera. 29:33 And the new names are today's 29:35 the Anglo Saxons or the English of course 29:38 the France which were the French 29:39 the Alamanis which were the Germans 29:41 and the Portuguese were the Suevis et cetera. 29:44 Then there is no question then that there are some empires 29:48 whose kingdoms that are strong 29:49 and some empires whose kingdoms that are, what, weak. 29:53 Give me for example some of the strong kingdoms 29:56 in England or in Europe. 29:57 I'll give you one of the names in Europe. 29:59 Is England still a strong empire today? 30:02 Yes or no? Yes. 30:04 What about Spain. 30:06 Yeah. 30:07 Yeah, there was a time 30:08 when Spain had controlled of the seas 30:12 but after Spain had a battle with England 30:15 and lost its Armada, 30:17 Spain just basically shifted and dwindled into obscurity. 30:21 And Spain for, for a long time has not had the same prestige 30:25 that they had at one time. 30:27 Is that true yes or no? 30:28 Yes. 30:29 What's interesting is this that God said 30:32 "that the Roman Empire would finally be divided 30:35 into these different divisions." 30:38 And just as God has said so it has happened. 30:42 What do you say? 30:43 Amen. 30:46 Can you understand why I'm no longer an atheist? 30:51 How can you, well again something is so marvelous. 30:54 What do you say? 30:55 It is clear that there must have been the divine hand 30:59 directing the writings of this book. 31:04 But listen, God gave prophecies 31:08 so that you and I would believe. 31:11 One time when Jesus is speaking to His disciples 31:14 He said to them "I tell you these things 31:17 so that when they come to pass ye may believe." 31:22 What did Jesus say? 31:23 "I tell you these things before they come to past 31:27 so that when they do come to pass you may" what? 31:30 "believe." 31:31 And I tell you I become a believer. 31:36 But listen as some more interesting things 31:39 about this particular prophecy. 31:42 The Bible says "that once the division took place" 31:46 there is a text verse 43 it says 31:50 "they shall mingle with the seed of man 31:53 but they shall not cleave one to another." 31:56 Now what does it mean 31:57 they shall not cleave one to another? 32:00 Joined. 32:01 They shall never become one again. 32:04 Now, they were one during the Roman Empire 32:06 is that true yes or no? 32:08 Yes or no? Yes. 32:09 All right, but God said "that they will not cleave. 32:15 They will mingle together 32:16 but they would not cleave one to another." 32:20 Just as iron does not cleave to what? Clay. 32:24 How many of you as children used to play with clay? 32:29 And how many of you still children still play with clay? 32:35 There are some things that we just can't get away from. 32:39 Is that true? 32:41 Some of us grandparents and I'm a grandfather 32:43 some of us as grandparents 32:44 just love to get things for our kids 32:46 so that we can play with them ourselves, all right. 32:48 Is that true? Yeah. 32:51 So they shall not cleave as clay does not cleave to iron 32:56 and I did and know there 32:59 anything about the Bible saying this. 33:02 But remember as a little boy playing with clay 33:04 and trying to stick it to other things 33:06 and the clay unless it was a very, very sticky 33:11 would not stick to anything 33:13 unless it's stuck for a short period of time 33:15 when it dried up it unstuck. 33:18 So the scriptures say 33:19 they shall not cleave one to another. 33:21 The amazing thing about that prophecy is this. 33:24 That we're talking about the fall of Rome all right, 33:27 476 years AD and the Bible says 33:31 that from the time that Rome felt 33:33 then they would be divided and they would cleave. 33:36 So let me ask you a question, 33:37 how much time has passed since Rome fell? 33:45 We're talking about at least 1,600 years. 33:52 How long, 1,600 years, okay. 33:55 Now, the Scripture say then 33:58 that in spite of how much time we transpire 34:03 these empires would not cleave to one another? 34:06 However, there were attempts made 34:09 and history reveals that many, many, many men 34:14 attempted to reunite Europe. 34:17 And here Charlemagne for example, 34:19 attempted to unite Europe and Voltaire said 34:26 "not holy neither Roman nor an" what? 34:29 "An empire." 34:31 Of course, Voltaire was infidel. 34:33 He didn't believe anything. 34:35 And its, its interesting about Voltaire 34:37 because he made a lot of statements 34:38 even about the Bible he said by the time 34:40 he is finished with the Bible 34:42 it will only be worth of if your sense. 34:44 What's interesting today is that his home in Europe 34:47 one of the homes is manned by the Bible society 34:52 and the other home 34:54 that he had the summer home in Switzerland 34:56 I have visited is also owned by a Christian group. 35:02 So both were the homes 35:03 that Voltaire had now are owned by Christians, 35:06 isn't that interesting. 35:08 Now, Charlemagne felt and then the Charles V 35:13 tried from Spain to unite Europe. 35:17 And the history tells us about Charles V 35:21 that even though he tried he failed 35:24 and he ended up in a monastery synchronizing what, clocks. 35:28 Clocks. 35:30 After Charles V, Louis XIV of France 35:36 tried to reunite Europe by conquering it. 35:40 And he deluged Europe in blood instead. 35:46 Well, you would think that people will give up 35:48 in trying to defy the Word of God 35:50 but people did not give up. 35:52 Others did make an effort to reunite Europe 35:56 and the next one was Napoleon. 35:59 How many of you remember Napoleon Bonaparte? 36:03 Napoleon Bonaparte was a man 36:04 who had studied the Books of Daniel in Revelation 36:07 that you know him. 36:09 I should tell you this also, 36:11 Columbus was a man 36:12 who studied the Books of Daniel and Revelation, 36:14 did you know that. 36:15 Christopher Columbus actually wrote commentaries 36:18 and you can get them today 36:19 of his, his ideas about the Book of Daniel 36:22 and the Book of Revelation, 36:23 did you know that. 36:25 In fact, I will tell you another little secret. 36:27 His personal doctor was a Sephardic Jew 36:31 whose name was Louis Torres of all thanks. 36:36 Now, there are lot of interests 36:41 in trying to reunite Europe. 36:43 Napoleon tried, he studied the scriptures 36:46 and yet he tried to defy the Word of God. 36:49 And finally when he lost the battle at Waterloo 36:53 he said God has been too much for me. 36:58 What did he say? 37:00 God has been what? 37:01 Too much for me, okay. 37:04 Then Kaiser tried from Germany 37:06 to reunite Europe and Wilhelm Kaiser 37:11 in the palace there was a statue-- 37:14 actually the bust of Daniel the Prophet. 37:17 And Kaiser had been born as a protestant 37:20 and brought up as a protestant 37:22 who has taught these scriptures 37:24 and well knew what the Bible said 37:26 and in spite of what he knew 37:28 he decided to defy what God said. 37:30 And what's interesting is this. 37:32 One of the statutes that make them nervous 37:34 and he didn't like the life statue 37:36 was the bust of Daniel. 37:38 So you know what he did 37:39 he offered the bishop of the church 37:42 if the bishop would cutoff the head of Daniel 37:45 he would replace the roof on the, on the church. 37:50 And so the bishop did. 37:52 Actually, cut the head off 37:54 and so the church roof was replaced. 37:57 However, when Wilhelm was not successful 38:01 and the communist took over of all things 38:03 the communist glued the head back unto Daniel. 38:08 And so you'll see that cut right there 38:10 you can actually go to Potsdam 38:12 and see the bust of Daniel 38:16 restructured again though re-glued. 38:21 But that was not the end of it. 38:24 You and I some of us have lived at least our parents 38:28 not long ago lived through World War II. 38:31 Is that true? 38:32 A very hard war. 38:35 My grandfather was in the First World War 38:40 my dad in the second and my cousin in the Korean War 38:45 and I served in the Vietnam War. 38:47 So we're four generations of soldiers. 38:49 And presently my daughter's husband 38:51 is a marine. 38:53 So five generations of military involvement. 38:58 Not by our choice of course you understand. 39:01 But listen Hitler tried to unite the Europe. 39:06 Let's skip him and go to Hitler. 39:09 Hitler believed that he was the rightful ruler 39:14 of the Millennial Reign. 39:17 And Hitler tried to unite Europe by force. 39:22 Now I have been to Nuremberg. 39:27 How many of you been to Nuremberg, Germany? 39:29 Any of you, okay. 39:30 How many of you been to the promenade 39:32 the actual marching place of Hitler? 39:35 Yeah, there is one here, 39:37 one over there and several of them. 39:41 I took a picture of these things 39:43 because I was impressed with a magnitude 39:46 of what Hitler was thinking. 39:48 Here we made this, these marching grounds 39:51 and it was on these marching grounds 39:54 and he'd pass the soldiers to march 39:56 under triumphs that they had. 39:57 And some of these buildings you see 39:59 how small they actually look. 40:00 They're not very small buildings at all. 40:03 Let me show you this, this building here 40:05 is this particular building here 40:07 do you see that. 40:08 And it's a little dark 40:10 but there are little small cars around there. 40:13 In other words 40,000 people could inhabit that building. 40:17 So we are not talking about small thing 40:19 we are talking about a great think. 40:20 Hitler had great, great visions of what he wanted to accomplish 40:24 and he almost succeeded in conquering Europe. 40:29 But we know what the rest of the story is. 40:33 And perhaps I should tell you a little interesting story 40:35 about this particular attempt. 40:39 This particular place is still standing. 40:41 The Swastika or the eagle you know with the two Zs-- 40:47 pardon me, 40:48 was right up on top and the allies just blew him off 40:52 so there would not be a reminder to anyone. 40:54 But Hitler used to stand here right under this little stand 40:57 and people and all these soldiers would march 40:59 right in front as he stood there saluting 41:02 while all the soldiers passed through there. 41:06 An interesting story and a friend of mine 41:08 whose grand, whose grandfather happened to be a engineer 41:14 was forced into the military 41:19 and his, his story is written in this book 41:23 called and the "Thousands Shall Fall." 41:25 Any of you have seen that book? 41:27 Any of you? 41:28 I see some of you had seen it. 41:29 It's a wonderful book. 41:31 His grandson had been my translator 41:33 when I go to, Europe to Austria in particular 41:37 because his grandson is a professor 41:39 at the Bogenhofen Seminary 41:41 and I have gone there frequently to teach. 41:44 And so fortunately 41:46 he is so fluent in English and German 41:48 that I have no problems 41:49 being able to communicate back and forth. 41:52 I read the book because since he was my friend 41:55 I wanted to know something about his history. 41:57 His grandfather was forced into, into the army 42:01 and they had to go ahead of the military 42:04 and build bridges so that the soldiers 42:06 and the tanks or whatever comes by and do the conquering. 42:10 But he was a believer 42:13 in Daniel Chapter 2 in the Bible. 42:15 And he never believed that the Nazis would win. 42:19 Finally, when they got very close to Russia 42:22 you'll say how far they went. 42:24 They came all the way over here see that, 42:26 when they got very close to Russia 42:28 it was clear that the Russians were getting stronger 42:31 and pushing the Germans back. 42:33 And so the lieutenants pulled in this soldier 42:39 and asked him in secret tell us 42:43 who do you think will win. 42:46 And he said Hitler will loose. 42:49 And they said how do you know? 42:51 And he gave them the study of Daniel Chapter 2. 42:56 And he said God had said 42:58 "They shall not" what? "Cleave one to another." 43:04 So here is what they said to him. 43:06 Don't tell anybody what you told us 43:09 or that we talk to you. 43:11 But buy enough petroleum so that we can get back home. 43:16 And so since he was in charge of buying these supplies 43:20 he bought enough diesel 43:23 and they finally did get back to Germany 43:28 actually they got to Austria 43:29 they caught captured by the allies there in Austria 43:32 when they discovered that he really was-- 43:35 in fact they had sentenced him 43:36 the lieutenants had prior to this had wrote, 43:39 written pardon me on his book 43:41 that he was to be executed when he returned back. 43:45 When the allies read 43:48 that he was supposed to be executed they ask why. 43:51 And he said because I believed 43:53 that Hitler would not succeed. 43:57 Well, they then rather than putting him in prison 44:02 or taking him to trial 44:03 actually the man who interrogated him 44:08 sign on his papers that he was a farmer 44:10 and in those days if you were farmer 44:13 you can get back to your family very quickly. 44:16 He was able to be released, he got back to his family 44:19 and it turned out that of all buildings 44:21 that have been all around 44:22 where the wife and the children 44:24 were not one building was standing except the buildings 44:27 where his wife and children were. 44:30 It pays to have faith in God. 44:31 What do you say? 44:33 Yes or no? 44:34 Yes, it pays to have in faith in God. 44:36 And so amazing story you have to get the book 44:39 and read it for yourself. 44:40 Again many have tried 44:43 but the efforts that have taken place in the past 44:46 has not been the end of it. 44:48 You would think that by now people would have learned 44:51 what God has said cannot be changed. 44:55 If God says it then it will happen. 44:57 He would think people will be satisfied with that. 44:59 I mean after all the long history reveals 45:01 even Russia himself, Russia itself. 45:04 I remember Nikita Khrushchev. 45:06 How many of you remember Nikita Khrushchev? 45:08 You remember I grew up in New York City 45:11 and I remember the siren sounding 45:13 at noon time all the time 45:14 because there was threat of war 45:16 and there was a fear that some missile 45:18 would come with a nuclear bomb 45:19 and no one could survive anyway. 45:21 But we none the less would taken 45:23 through the exercises of, 45:24 you know, the drills 45:26 and the go to shelters et cetera. 45:29 Well, I remember him taking the shoe off. 45:32 Do you remember that? 45:33 And then banging on the tables, 45:36 do you remember that? 45:37 And of course the, the thought was that 45:41 they would bury America. 45:45 But you and I know looking back 45:48 that the reality is that God's words still stands. 45:51 What do you say? 45:52 Communism almost conquered Europe 45:56 but then something happened 45:58 and we know now 46:01 that what God did say is still true. 46:05 But listen, we have not finished. 46:08 It's still yet another attempt. 46:10 Are you acquainted with this Insignia? 46:13 It's called the European Union. 46:16 Are you acquainted with the Euro dollar? 46:19 How many of you have been to Europe 46:20 and that bought some Euro dollars et cetera? 46:23 All right, let me share something interesting with you 46:25 that may surprise you. 46:29 Here is the famous painting of a Tower of Babel. 46:35 Okay, what's interesting about this is that 46:39 I have been to Strasbourg 46:41 and that's where the headquarters 46:43 of the European Union is. 46:45 It is used to be Strasbourg, Germany 46:47 now its part of France or Strasbourg, France. 46:50 And I took some pictures of the buildings 46:54 and what's interesting is that the main building 46:56 that they have built they built to resemble 46:59 what you're suppose, the tower of Babel. 47:07 Now here is the picture I took of it 47:10 there it is you see that. 47:13 And what I simply did was you have a superimposed 47:16 you see that, okay. 47:19 The whole attempt is to build a tower 47:23 that shall be completed. 47:25 To build of what? 47:27 A tower that shall be what? Completed. 47:29 But how many of you remember that 47:31 when the Tower of Babel was being built 47:33 that God did not allowed it to be completed. 47:36 How many of you remember that. 47:37 Okay, God change their languages 47:40 and that's why you and I speak in tongues today. 47:42 What do you say? 47:44 Did you hear what I said? 47:46 Amen. 47:47 All right, the word Tongues in the Bible means languages 47:49 and that's why you and I speak in languages, okay. 47:53 How many of you speak in the different language? 47:55 Any of you here today? 47:56 Okay, it looks like-- 48:01 they're shaking their heads. 48:02 Any of you speak German? 48:04 German, okay. 48:05 What about Romanian, anybody who speak Romanian? 48:11 Hungarian? 48:13 I guess most of you're Americanize then. 48:17 They say if you speak three languages 48:19 you're trilingual, 48:20 if you speak two languages you're bilingual 48:22 and if you speak one language you're an American. 48:29 The languages were divided 48:31 and as a result then 48:34 we have the nations today of the world, okay. 48:36 So God divided. 48:42 Europe is again attempting to do what? 48:46 To reunite. 48:47 Notice, notice something interesting, 48:51 here is that emblem this is an actual poster 48:55 of the Europe being union. 48:58 Now, I want you to know something interesting 48:59 how many stars you see there? 49:01 Twelve stars, okay. 49:03 And I want you see what do you see there? 49:06 A crane. 49:07 What do you see? A crane. 49:10 Now what do you think that means? 49:11 It means that, the tower will be completed. 49:15 That means what? 49:17 The tower will be what? Completed, okay. 49:21 Now its interesting 49:24 there is a lot of, a lot of talk about 49:26 religion today in the news, isn't that true. 49:29 Just as I was coming here in the airport 49:31 I happened to catch CNN 49:33 and it said something about "Armageddon." 49:36 People are now talking about what? 49:38 Armageddon. Israel in war. 49:41 Well, are we heading to Armageddon? 49:43 There are all sorts of things that are taking place 49:45 simply because my friends, 49:46 I want you to know this God has declared in His word 49:50 what will happen in the latter days. 49:52 In what days? The latter days. 49:55 Therefore, here is a question 49:57 if God has revealed what would take place in the latter day 50:00 isn't it important for you and for me to know 50:03 what God has revealed? Yes or no. 50:04 Yes. Okay. 50:05 And that's why we're in this prophecy seminar 50:08 there is a lot of things that God has revealed 50:10 and they're wonderful things to help us to have hope 50:13 and to be believe. 50:15 Now, notice what it says "By 'completing' tower 50:17 the European Union seeks to complete 50:19 the rebellion against God 50:21 and its slogan 'Many Tongues' one what? 50:24 "One Voice." 50:25 "Which seeks to reverse'" what? 50:27 "His judgment." Okay. 50:30 Now "Modeled on Pieter Brueghel's 50:35 famous 16th century painting 'The Tower Of Babel,' 50:38 the poster shows the peoples of Europe rebuilding the tower 50:41 that God destroyed in Genesis 11:5-9." 50:45 So there is yet another attempt. 50:48 Yet another what? Attempt. 50:50 Now let me ask you a question, will it succeed? 50:53 No. No. Why? 50:56 Just think of it. 50:57 In a few words what did the God say, 51:00 it shall not happen. 51:03 It shall not cleave on to other, all right. 51:06 "They shall not" what say with me, 51:08 "They shall not cleave one to another." 51:12 Now, I don't know how everything will finally 51:15 be pulled together in Europe. 51:16 I just know this friends, 51:19 that the Bible reveals that in the last days 51:22 Iraq which was called Babylon 51:25 is a symbol of the union that takes place 51:28 in the final days and its final fall. 51:32 In other words in the Book of Revelation 51:35 if ancient Iraq is portrait as Babylon in our days 51:41 that will crumble. 51:42 Which means then 51:43 that there is going to be a worldwide union 51:47 for short space. 51:49 It's gonna be a what? Worldwide union. 51:51 A worldwide union for a short space 51:53 but just as the river Euphrates was dried up the Bible says 51:57 that also the river Euphrates will dry up as well. 52:01 Now you may say what does that mean? 52:03 You will need to come to the next seminars, okay. 52:05 But listen "In the days of" what? 52:10 "These kings" what will happen? 52:14 "The God of heaven shall set up His kingdom." 52:16 "In the days of these kings the feet of Iron and Clay" 52:21 shall be destroyed. 52:22 But let's think about the clay. 52:24 Remember I mentioned the silver the gold the silver 52:28 the brass and the iron and then the iron and clay. 52:31 Notice the amazing thing about this, clay. 52:35 What comes from clay? 52:39 Silicon and what, aluminum. 52:43 Now think of that 52:46 aluminum is a new metal of our day, 52:52 200 years ago aluminum was not in existence. 52:59 Aluminum is metal of our day. 53:00 What about silicon? 53:02 By the way why the silicon is used for, do you know? 53:07 Chips. 53:08 Yeah, we call it the chip, don't we? 53:10 What do we call it? The chip. 53:13 Now planes fly with computers, 53:16 our money is handled by computer, 53:18 the television by computers, 53:20 the cars have computer chips 53:22 everything seems to be working by virtue of the fact 53:25 that there is something called silicon, okay. 53:28 Now isn't that amazing that God uses the metals 53:32 that rightly reflect the times that the metals represent. 53:41 What do you say? 53:43 Is it amazing yes or no? Yes. 53:45 Absolutely so, which means then 53:48 how close are we for that rock 53:51 that is cut with our hands to come and smash the image. 53:55 In other words friends, where are we living? 53:58 Are we living in the time of the head? 54:00 No. 54:01 Are we living in the time of the chest? 54:03 No. 54:04 The thigh, the breast? No. 54:06 The legs, where are we living? Toes. 54:10 We are down towards the toes. 54:12 Which tells us what? 54:14 Who represent that rock? 54:19 Christ. 54:20 Who is the Rock of Ages? 54:21 Jesus, Christ. 54:23 And so the scripture says 54:25 "In the days of" what? "These kings" 54:29 by the way are they kings in Europe still? 54:32 Yes or no? Yes. 54:33 Absolutely, so there are kings in Europe. 54:36 Spain has king, Norway has king, 54:38 England still has the royalty. 54:40 So there are still what? Kings, all right. 54:43 In the days of these kings what will happen? 54:46 Shall the God of heaven do what, 54:49 set up a kingdom which shall never be what, 54:53 never be destroyed. 54:56 So my friends, let me ask you question then. 54:58 Are we living close to the time 55:01 when the Rock of all Ages will come 55:04 and finally set up His kingdom, yes or no? 55:06 Yes. 55:07 Are we living close to that time? 55:09 Yes. Absolutely so. 55:12 And so when you consider all that we studied 55:14 and by the way how many chapters 55:16 have we studied tonight, only, one. 55:19 How many? Only one. 55:22 Imagine how much there is to know rest of the Bible. 55:25 What do you say? Amen. 55:27 And so it means then that we're going to have to dig, dig 55:31 and dig up the future. 55:35 What is it that God has in store for His children? 55:38 What is that God has in store for the world? 55:42 Is God going to set up His kingdom 55:45 and if He is the question then is, 55:47 who will be in that kingdom? 55:52 Good question, what do you say. 55:56 "And the kingdom shall not be left to" What? 55:59 "To other people but it shall break and pieces 56:02 and consume all these kingdoms 56:04 and it shall stand for" how long? 56:07 "Forever." 56:08 Will you say Praise the Lord on that? 56:10 Praise the Lord. Amen. 56:11 In spite of all that man is doing, 56:13 in spite of all his manipulations, 56:15 in spite of all that he is seeking to accomplish 56:17 ultimately God will have the final word. 56:21 What do you say? Amen. 56:22 But here is a question 56:23 when God sets up the kingdom 56:25 how many of you want to be part of that kingdom? 56:27 I do to. I do too. 56:30 And the next thing that we will see 56:33 as scriptures reveals will be the Rock of all Ages coming 56:38 which represents that glorious appearing of Christ. 56:41 In the world of uncertainty 56:44 Bible prophecy provides for us what? Certainty. 56:48 So all of these kingdoms have come and gone 56:51 and finally what remains is that wonderful final event 56:54 of the coming of Christ. 56:57 Shall we pray together? 56:58 Our Father in heaven, 57:00 we thank You for Your love 57:03 in revealing to us that precious Word 57:06 and help us to know that you're in charge. 57:09 Help us to be ready for that wonderful kingdom 57:11 and we pray in Jesus name, amen. |
