01:00 Hello, and welcome back to 3ABN camp meeting
01:03 right here at 3ABN headquarters, 01:06 just outside of West Frankfort, Illinois. 01:08 And we have a great crowd, 01:09 we had a good crowd this weekend, 01:11 and we just want to thank you all for supporting 3ABN 01:15 from around the world. 01:17 And those of you, many of you, 01:18 I want to welcome those of you who've forgot to do it today 01:21 that are watching on Dish Network. 01:24 And so we have a new crowd, 01:25 some of you here heard about it. 01:27 But last Wednesday 01:28 we went on Dish Network on the basic channels, 01:31 and I guess, two or three different satellites. 01:34 And so even the folks that 01:35 where we used to be on Sky Angel, 01:37 and we're not anymore. 01:39 We are actually on that satellite now, 01:40 not through Sky Angel, 01:42 but the same satellite through Dish Network. 01:45 So those who have Dish Network, 01:48 and those who have Sky Angel 01:49 still will be able to see 3ABN actually on the same channel 01:53 that we used to be on, 9710 I'm told. 01:56 So call your friends, your relatives, 01:59 everybody you can think of that says, 02:01 "We can't get 3ABN anymore." 02:03 Tell them to turn back 9710, and we're there once again. 02:06 So we want to special thanks to Charlie... 02:08 Charlie Ergen of Dish Network, 02:11 and for putting Three Angels Broadcasting Network 02:16 on the basic lineup. 02:18 I think that's an incredible thing, 02:19 and it's a tremendous opportunity to reach 02:22 so many, many people around this great country. 02:25 Now what we'd like to do, we're only... 02:27 this is our last program for the camp meeting 02:31 this year for at least spring. 02:33 Now if any of you're interested, 02:35 we'll consider having fall camp meeting again. 02:37 Can anybody come back? 02:38 All right, quite a few of you can come back. 02:41 All right, I hope they get a picture of it, 02:43 I want to just check their hands and make sure. 02:44 I expect to see your faces here this fall, 02:47 when you say that 02:49 unless I read your name in your obituary column 02:51 and God forbid that, 02:52 unless you read my name in there, 02:54 we should be here, right, this fall, okay. 02:56 All right, I'm having fun, of course we are. 02:59 All right, what I like to do right now is bring out 03:02 my daughter Melody, 03:03 she's going to be doing a beautiful song entitled 03:05 "All My Praise," 03:06 and then after that Elder Kenneth Cox 03:09 will be coming out with Kenneth Cox Ministry. 03:11 And I want to thank his whole team, 03:13 Donna and Gordon, and all of you 03:15 that come here from the Kenneth Cox Ministry. 03:17 They come year after year, 03:19 and they're here just to support. 03:22 And this morning, I'm going to tell it now, 03:24 we had a mix-up actually 03:26 as to who is to speak this morning. 03:28 We thought Wintley was going to speak tonight, 03:31 and he had to leave, and somehow 03:34 we got her schedule confused as to who was speaking. 03:37 So I said to Elder Cox, 03:39 we got a little bit of a mix-up on the schedule. 03:41 He said, "Just put me anywhere or nowhere, 03:43 I'm just happy to be here, 03:45 I just want to support your ministry." 03:47 And that's the kind of guy that he is. 03:49 I mean, 03:51 honestly you drive that many miles, 03:56 you come here, and just say, 03:57 "Look, if you need me, I'm here, 03:59 if you don't, it's all right." 04:00 That's a very humble personality. 04:03 But the Lord worked it out, 04:04 and Kenneth will be bringing us the message now. 04:07 We'll have to get him 04:08 to tell us the rest of the story, 04:10 but he said to me this evening, 04:12 "This was no mix-up, 04:13 this was God ordained 04:14 that I'm here tonight instead of this morning, 04:16 and so I'll be interested." 04:18 He didn't tell me the rest of the story, 04:20 but I just want to ask 04:22 all of you to consider supporting 04:24 the Kenneth Cox Ministry. 04:26 Kenneth has been around for long time. 04:28 He's dedicated his time, his talents, abilities. 04:31 Donna and Gordon, and all the rest of marrying 04:33 the crew that they have for so long, 04:35 have traveled hundreds of thousands of miles. 04:38 And for many, many years, they call us for one reason, 04:41 because they love Jesus, they want to see Jesus 04:43 come back in the clouds of glory very soon. 04:45 So we're honored tonight to have Elder Kenneth Cox 04:48 right after my daughter Melody sings. 04:50 Melody, this song you're singing, 04:51 "All My Praise," did you write it? 04:53 Yes. 04:54 I thought so, it's a beautiful song, 04:56 and I really have been blessed by it. 04:57 Thank you. 05:13 My soul thirst for You 05:19 My heart burns for You 05:24 No earthly love could fill 05:30 This void inside of me 05:36 I long to know You better 05:42 Spend some time together 05:48 You are exactly 05:52 What I need 05:58 And, Lord, I've come to worship 06:05 And give You all my praise 06:10 My blessing Redeemer 06:16 My hands to You always 06:22 In You I find solace 06:28 A peaceful resting place 06:33 With all that I have 06:36 And all that I am 06:39 I give You all my praise 06:54 Lord, You want my refuge 07:00 A heaven I can run to 07:06 You're the only perfect love 07:11 I have been ever known 07:17 My eyes desire to see You 07:23 My spirit longs to embrace you 07:29 For you are the lover of my soul 07:39 And, Lord, I've come to worship 07:45 And give You all my praise 07:50 My blessing Redeemer 07:56 My hands to You always 08:02 In You I find solace 08:08 A peaceful resting place 08:13 With all that I have 08:16 And all that I am 08:19 I give You all my praise 08:25 With all that I have And all that I am 08:31 Lord, I give you all my praise 08:54 Thank you, Melody. 09:06 Father in heaven, 09:09 we come to You tonight Lord, 09:13 first asking that our hearts might be open, 09:19 that the Holy Spirit might be present, 09:24 that we each may sense 09:28 and understand the times that we're living. 09:32 And that we might be willing 09:36 to surrender to Your guidance, to Your direction. 09:42 May our hearts be in tune with Your will, 09:48 and may we each 09:51 walk day-by-day in the spirit. 09:55 Bless us during this service, 09:58 we pray in Christ name, amen. 10:07 I like for you to take your Bible. 10:11 Turn to the last book in the Old Testament, 10:16 Malachi. 10:18 I like for you to go to the last chapter 10:22 in the Book of Malachi, the 4th chapter, 10:25 and I'd like for you to look at the last two verses 10:30 in that chapter. 10:32 The last two verses in the Old Testament, 10:36 this is what it says, 10:38 "Behold, I will send you Elijah, 10:43 the prophet... 10:45 I will send you Elijah, the prophet, when... 10:51 before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord." 10:57 He's going to send us Elijah the prophet, 11:00 before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 11:04 "And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, 11:08 the hearts of their children to their fathers. 11:11 Lest I come 11:13 and strike the earth with the curves." 11:16 So God says that in these days 11:20 in which you and I are living 11:22 that God is going to send the Prophet Elijah. 11:28 And it's to do its work upon our hearts, 11:31 upon our children, upon our fathers, 11:34 it's to draw the people back to the Lord. 11:38 All the way from the time of Elijah, 11:42 down to the present day, 11:45 people have looked for Elijah to come back. 11:50 They were looking for Elijah return 11:53 in the days of Jesus. 11:55 In fact, the disciples of Christ 11:58 came to Him and said, "Is this Elijah?" 12:01 And a rather interesting 12:03 situation takes place in Matthew 11, 12:06 if you'd like to turn over there. 12:08 Matthew 11, 12:12 John has been put in prison, 12:16 and he had asked his disciples to go 12:19 and ask Jesus, if He is the Christ. 12:24 So the disciples of John have gone, 12:27 and it says here, 12:29 "That they've spent this time with Jesus." 12:33 Would you like to look at verse 4 with me, 12:36 John 11:4, 12:38 Jesus answered and said to them, 12:40 "Go, tell John the things which you have heard and seen." 12:46 He said, "Go and tell him what you've seen." 12:48 They've asked him, 12:49 "Are you the Christ, then tell them." 12:52 He says, "You go, tell John 12:53 what you've heard and what you have seen. 12:57 The blind see and the lame walk, 13:02 the lepers are clean, and the deaf hear, 13:05 and the dead are raised up, 13:07 and the poor have the gospel preached to them. 13:10 So tell John that, 13:13 and blessed is he who is not offended 13:15 because of me. 13:17 And it says, as they departed, 13:20 now these are the disciples of John, 13:22 they're going back 13:24 to tell John what they've seen. 13:26 And as they departed, 13:28 Jesus began to say to the multitude concerning John, 13:32 "Why did you go out in the wilderness to see, 13:36 what did you go to see? 13:37 A reed shaken in the wind? 13:41 But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? 13:45 Indeed, those who wear soft clothing 13:47 are in kings' houses. 13:49 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? 13:52 Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.'' 13:57 Look at verse 14, 14:00 "And if you are willing to receive it, 14:05 he is Elijah, who is to come.'' 14:11 Talking to the disciples, 14:14 talking to the multitude, and Jesus said, 14:16 "This is Elijah which was fore to come." 14:23 Now the scripture takes a strange turn here, 14:26 and very, very important 14:27 that you and I understand what's taking place. 14:30 Because if you go over to John 1. 14:34 Take your Bible and turn over to the John 1. 14:44 We'll start with verse 19, John 1:19, 14:49 now this is the testimony of John 14:52 when the Jews sent priests and Levites 14:55 from Jerusalem asking, "Who are you?" 14:57 They've sent a delegation to see him, 14:59 they said, "Who are you?" 15:02 And he confessed and did not deny, 15:04 but confessed, "I am not the Christ." 15:09 They've asked him, "Are you the Christ?" 15:11 He said, "No, I'm not the Christ." 15:14 And they asked him, 15:16 what then "Are you Elijah?" 15:21 "Are you Elijah?" 15:23 And he said, "I am not." 15:29 Well, that's different. "I'm not." 15:33 "Are you the prophet?" 15:35 And he answered, "No." 15:38 They said, "Tell us who are you? 15:40 Are you Elijah?" He said, "No, I'm not." 15:44 "Are you the prophet?" "No." 15:46 And they said to him, "Who are you? 15:50 That we may give an answer to those who sent us. 15:52 What do you say about yourself?" 15:55 And he said, 15:57 "I'm the voice of one crying in the wilderness, 16:00 'Make straight the way of the Lord' 16:04 as the prophet Isaiah said." 16:07 Said, "Who are you?" 16:09 Said, "I'm the voice of one crying in the wilderness, 16:12 Make straight the way of the Lord." 16:16 Here Jesus said, 16:18 "This is Elijah, if you receive it," 16:21 and John saying, "No, I'm not." 16:27 What is the answer here? What's it talking about? 16:32 Well, if you go over to Luke 1, 16:35 it gives you an insight into what it's talking about, 16:40 Luke 1:17. 16:53 He's speaking of John the Baptist. 16:56 He will also go before him in the spirit 17:01 and the power of Elijah, 17:05 to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, 17:08 and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just 17:11 to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 17:15 Said that John would go before them in the spirit 17:20 and the power of Elijah. 17:22 So when they said to John, "Are you Elijah?" 17:25 He said, "No," saying," 17:27 I am not Elijah in flesh and blood, I am not." 17:31 When they said, "Who are you?" 17:34 He said, "Oh, I'm the voice 17:35 of one crying in the wilderness, 17:37 make straight the way of the Lord, 17:40 if their head been in tune. 17:41 If they had understood what he was saying, 17:44 they would have known that he was telling them 17:46 the message that Elijah preached of all, 17:49 that's what I'm preaching. 17:51 I'm preparing the way of the Lord. 17:54 So when you read Malachi, 17:57 and it talks about Elijah coming 17:59 before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, 18:02 it doesn't mean that Elijah is going to come back 18:05 in flesh and blood. 18:07 It's not going to be Elijah, 18:09 it's not going to appear in flesh and blood, 18:11 it means the same message, 18:14 the message that Elijah preached, 18:16 the message that John, the Baptist preached, 18:18 that same message, is to be preached today. 18:23 It's to be preached today 18:24 to prepare people for the coming of the Lord. 18:29 That's the purpose, 18:30 that's the reason it's to be preached. 18:33 So with that background, 18:36 I would like for us to pick up 18:41 where Pastor Wintley left off this morning. 18:47 That's where I would like for us to pick up. 18:50 You see every time in history 18:55 that you've had somebody like Ahab 18:58 appear on the scene of action, 19:01 you'll find there's always been an Elijah. 19:05 God has always had an Elijah there to meet it, 19:10 to confront it, to ask to live-in in this day, 19:14 in this day in which we live at time 19:18 when they've turned away from the word of God. 19:23 God has a message, the Elijah message, 19:28 calling people back to the way of the Lord. 19:31 You see anytime 19:34 that you have national apostasy, 19:39 then you're going to have national disaster 19:42 that always, always happens. 19:47 And Elijah had gone in before Ahab and Jezebel 19:52 and said, "Repent, change your ways, 19:57 repent or not one drop of rain will fall 20:03 for three and half years." 20:08 You see, 20:11 Ahab and Jezebel had turned the people away from God. 20:16 Ahab fall a whole lot more of horses than he did heaven, 20:23 a whole lot more of grass than he did grace, 20:28 a whole lot more of himself than he did service. 20:34 Then God said, "Change your way, 20:37 turn, go the other way, or else it will not rain. 20:43 And for three and half years 20:47 not one drop of rain fell. 20:53 Elijah is down the stand 20:57 with the widow at Zarephath. 21:01 He's been there for a quite sometime. 21:05 Then God said to him, 21:07 "Elijah, go and present yourself to Ahab." 21:13 And he said, "No, thank you, Ahab's looking for me." 21:18 And he said, "Go and see him." 21:22 And Elijah went to see Ahab. 21:25 And you remember that confrontation 21:28 that took place there, 21:30 that when Ahab heard that he was there, 21:32 it says that he got in his chariot and he rode up, 21:34 and as he rode up, he pointed his finger at the prophet 21:37 and said, "Are you the one that troubleth Israel?" 21:42 Elijah said, "No, 21:44 thou are the one that troubleth Israel." 21:49 And there, they stood 21:51 and he told him to gather all of Israel, 21:54 bring them up to Mount Carmel, 21:58 and there they would find out who is God. 22:02 And told them they were to take 22:04 and build an altar, 22:07 put wood on the altar a sacrifice, 22:12 and pray to their God Baal, 22:16 that if he is God that he would send fire from heaven 22:19 and burn up the sacrifice. 22:24 And all day they prayed, 22:29 about noon he said, "Peradventure, 22:32 maybe Baal is asleep, 22:36 you are to yell just a little louder." 22:39 "May be he's gone for a walk." 22:42 And they work themselves in such a frenzy 22:46 that they cut themselves 22:47 until the blood ran out on the ground. 22:51 And finally he said to them that's enough, 22:56 and he went over to where the altar of God once stood. 23:00 And he really built the altar, put the wood on it, 23:04 put the sacrifice on it, and dug a ditch around it, 23:07 and had him go down and bring up water, 23:11 and cover that sacrifice until it filled up the trench. 23:17 And then he knelt 23:20 and he said the God of Abraham, 23:23 the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, 23:27 if thou will be the God of Israel, 23:30 send fire and burn up this sacrifice and fire fell. 23:36 And it burned the sacrifice, 23:39 the wood, the stones, 23:41 and lit up the water that was in the trench. 23:45 And all of Israel fell on their faces 23:48 and they said, "The Lord, 23:49 he is God, the Lord, he is God." 23:53 Oh, what a difference. 23:56 Oh, what a difference between 23:58 what that fire did to two different individuals. 24:03 Because it says, "When the fire fell 24:07 and the sacrifice was burned up," 24:11 it says that Ahab went to eat. 24:15 It says Elijah went to pray. 24:19 Oh, how often... 24:22 How often we turn away from the things 24:25 that God is revealing and the miracles 24:28 that He is performing, 24:29 and we turn away and look some other way. 24:34 He went over 24:37 and he knelt and he prayed that God would send the rain, 24:45 not once, not twice, 24:50 but seven times he prayed 24:54 until finally a small cloud 24:58 rose out of the east. 25:02 And he told his servant, 25:05 "You go tell Ahab to harness his horses, 25:09 and to head home, 25:11 because there's the sound of abundance of rain." 25:19 Marvelous... 25:21 Marvelous what God had done. 25:24 All of Israel had fallen before the Lord 25:27 and said thou art God, thou art God. 25:31 Great miracle had been performed, 25:34 and now the rain is pouring, 25:39 and it's dark, and Ahab is on the way home. 25:45 Now folks, understand this, here is this prophet of God. 25:50 This prophet of God that had their single-handedly 25:54 had withstood the prophets of Baal, 25:56 the prophets of the groves, 25:58 had withstood all of them there, 26:01 and had been justified by God, 26:04 and he'd been held up. 26:08 And this king who is ready to take his life. 26:13 Here this prophet is running 26:17 in front of his chariot 26:21 all the way from Carmel to Jezreel, 26:26 because the king can't see his way. 26:32 Ran and cleared to Jezreel. 26:37 I don't know... 26:40 I don't know if it was the emotional 26:44 let down of that tremendous event 26:49 that had taken place there on Carmel. 26:52 I don't know if it was the fact 26:54 that he'd run all the way from Carmel to Jezreel. 27:01 Maybe it was the fact 27:02 that he swept out in the rain, in the cold. 27:06 I don't know what the circumstances were, 27:10 but the scripture says that when Ahab got home 27:18 and told Jezebel what had happened, 27:23 and how God had been vindicated, 27:27 and the how the fire had fallen, 27:28 and the sacrifice had been burned up, 27:30 and how God had revealed himself? 27:36 It didn't changed her heart. 27:40 It infuriated her, 27:44 and she sit down and wrote a note, 27:47 and said that Gods do to me 27:51 as you have slain the 450 prophets of Baal, 27:56 and the 400 prophets of the grove, 27:59 if by this time tomorrow, you're not dead." 28:05 And had a servant take that note to Elijah. 28:10 All of a sudden, this man who had been a hero, 28:17 had stood there before them all 28:19 and he withstood all these prophets of Baal 28:22 and the prophets of groves. 28:23 This hero by day 28:28 became a coward by night. 28:31 Taken his servants, they run, 28:36 clear down to Beersheba, 28:39 and leaving those servants there, 28:42 he went another day's journey into the wilderness. 28:47 Lay down under a broom tree, and said, "Lord, let me die." 28:57 Went to sleep, 29:00 fatigued, wore out. 29:04 How long he slept I don't know, 29:08 but it says that God sent an angel, 29:13 that angel prepared food for him. 29:19 And then woke him up, and whoa, 29:22 how startled he was 29:23 because he thought Jezebel had found him. 29:28 But when he opened his eyes, he didn't see an enemy, 29:33 he saw the kind tendered face of an angel, 29:38 that said eat. 29:41 And Elijah ate the food, 29:45 went back to sleep, he's tired. 29:49 I mean it's been an emotional draining time. 29:55 He slept, the angel came back, 29:59 and prepared food for him again. 30:03 Woke him up and Elijah ate, and angel said eat it, 30:07 because the where you're going is a long way. 30:11 And on the strength of that food, 30:15 he went for 40 days and 40 nights... 30:21 40 days and 40 nights. 30:24 Only two other people 30:28 have fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, 30:32 that was Jesus and Moses. 30:38 Strange... 30:40 Jesus, Moses, and Elijah, 30:44 and those were the three 30:45 that were on the Mount of Transfiguration. 30:48 I wonder if fasting has anything to do with it. 30:54 But it says on the strength of that food he went, 30:58 cleared it till he came to Horeb, 31:01 and he went up the Mountain of Horeb, 31:03 and crawled into a cave 31:06 and said, "Lord, let me die, 31:09 I'm not any better than my forefathers." 31:14 Take your Bible, 31:17 turn over to the 19th chapter of 1 Kings... 31:23 19th chapter of 1 Kings. 31:37 That's what it says. 31:40 Look at verse 9, 31:45 "And there he went into a cave 31:48 and spent the night in that place. 31:52 And behold the word of the Lord came to him, 31:55 and said to him, 31:56 "What are you doing here Elijah?" 32:01 In this cave, 32:03 said, "What are you doing here Elijah?" 32:07 I don't know how God answered that, 32:08 asked that question. 32:11 I don't know where he put the emphasis. 32:14 I don't know if he said, 32:15 "What are you doing here Elijah?" 32:18 Or he may have said, 32:20 "What are you doing here Elijah?" 32:22 Or he may have said, 32:24 "What are you doing here Elijah?" 32:26 I don't know where he put the emphasis, 32:28 but I do know, 32:30 it's a very, very important question, 32:36 "What are you doing here?" 32:40 "What are you doing 32:44 that will tell for eternity?" 32:49 When life is over, and it's all settled, 32:54 what will you have done that will tell for eternity. 33:03 What have you done? 33:05 What have I done with my life 33:09 that has eternal value? 33:13 "What are you doing here Elijah?" 33:17 It's question that all of us need to ask ourselves. 33:22 Elijah had crawled into a cave of discouragement, 33:27 said, "Oh, I'm not any better than my fathers, 33:30 just let me die." 33:34 And the Lord said, "Get up Elijah, 33:39 come out here to the mouth of the cave." 33:45 And Elijah went out to the mouth of the cave, 33:49 and it says that there was a great, great win. 33:55 Listen to what he says about this, 33:59 speaking of this win, it says, 34:02 verse 11, and he said, "Go out, 34:06 stand on the mountain before the Lord, 34:08 and behold the Lord pass by, 34:10 and a great and strong wind tore into the mountain, 34:13 and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord. 34:16 I mean, it says that wind went through there, 34:19 it threw rocks around, it uprooted trees, 34:22 it tore everything that was rounded up. 34:28 So I find today 34:33 that there are winds that blow, tornadoes. 34:38 If you please of criticism, tornadoes are backbiting. 34:45 Tornadoes are trying to tear things apart. 34:50 And you hear all these things, hurricanes... 34:53 if you please of rumors that pass all around. 34:57 Dear brothers and sisters, I thank you, 35:00 and I thank God that it says, 35:03 "God was not in the wind," not in the wind. 35:09 Those things that you hear that tare down, 35:12 that criticize, 35:14 that talk about things that are bad, 35:16 God is not in it, 35:19 put it down. 35:21 I don't care where it comes from, 35:23 that is not the way God works, 35:27 it's not in the wind. 35:30 And it says after the wind, 35:33 there was an earthquake. 35:35 And I've got to admit, 35:38 of all the things 35:39 I don't want to be in a cave in an earthquake. 35:43 That's not the place I desire to be, 35:47 but it says there was a great earthquake, 35:51 and I find those people 35:54 who can't blow it down, 35:59 the winds can't do their damage. 36:03 And then they try to attack the very foundation, 36:07 and see if they can shake it down. 36:11 Tear it down anyway they can get it down, 36:14 but dear friends the scripture says, 36:17 God was not in the earthquake, 36:21 wasn't there, 36:23 and that is not what God does. 36:26 God does not tare down, God builds up. 36:33 And you and I must understand that 36:36 God hasn't called us, 36:40 He hasn't called us 36:43 to be critical, 36:46 and to be unkind to tear down. 36:52 God has called us to a greater work from that, 36:57 and it says, after the earthquake 37:00 there was a fire. 37:04 See there's people 37:06 that believed if you can't blow it down 37:09 and you can't shake it down, then you ought to burn it up, 37:14 that's their concept. 37:16 But God was not in the fire, 37:20 God's not there. 37:23 That's not the leading of the Holy Spirit. 37:29 But still small voice said, 37:35 "What are you doing here Elijah? 37:39 What are you doing here?" 37:42 When those people tell you 37:48 that what has happened, 37:50 and what is taking place here at 3ABN 37:54 should be done away with. 37:57 Dear, friend, let me tell you that is not of God. 38:13 What are you doing here Elijah? 38:17 I have a whole lot more in mind for you. 38:21 A whole lot more in mind for you. 38:25 Why Elijah? 38:29 Who is going to anoint Jehu to be the next king of Israel? 38:34 Who is going to do that? 38:38 I have more for you to do. 38:41 This isn't the end. 38:44 This isn't what God called for it to end. 38:48 God has a whole lot more in mind. 38:52 Greater things to be accomplished, 38:54 who is going to anoint Jehu to be the next king of Israel? 38:59 Who is going to anoint Hazael to be the next king of Syria? 39:05 Elijah, 39:07 if you're going to lay down and die. 39:09 If you're going to crawl into this cave of discouragement, 39:12 and you're not going to do what God wants you to do. 39:15 Elijah. Who is going to prepare, 39:18 who is going to train Elijah 39:20 to be the next prophet of Israel? 39:24 I have a whole lot more for you to do. 39:29 This ministry has a whole lot more to do. 39:43 Behold... 39:46 I will send you Elijah the prophet 39:49 before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 39:55 That message, the Elijah message, 39:59 you and I are responsible to see 40:02 that message is carried throughout the world. 40:06 It's our responsibility. 40:09 God has sledded upon us. 40:11 And, dear friend, when God has made 40:14 the facilities available 40:17 to take this message around the world, 40:20 then you and I need to back it and support it. 40:35 He said, "Elijah, 40:38 I've prepared courses of fire, 40:44 and a chariot of fire to come and take you home. 40:50 What are you doing in this cave? 40:53 What are you doing here? 40:55 You don't belong here. 40:58 I have something much, much better in mind for you. 41:05 God is saying to you and to me. 41:09 I've got chariots of fire 41:12 waiting to come to take you home. 41:17 It's time that you and I rise up, 41:20 and we do the work of God, 41:22 time that we go for it. 41:25 What are you doing here? 41:28 Dear friend, there isn't any sacrifice 41:34 that's too great to see 41:39 that the cause of God is carried out on this earth. 41:45 There isn't anything 41:49 that you and I have, 41:52 nothing that we possess 41:57 that compares to a soul. 42:02 Nothing. Nothing. 42:06 That soul is in the kingdom of God, 42:10 because they heard the message. 42:15 They may have heard it 42:19 on a television set way back in the country. 42:28 Nothing, nothing compares to that soul. 42:35 Do you understand? 42:38 Do you understand that Jesus would've come 42:43 and died for you, 42:46 if you were the only one? 42:50 Do you understand that? 42:53 Do you believe it? 42:55 Do you believe that Jesus would've 42:57 actually come and died 42:59 if it'd only been you, nobody else? 43:07 You see, dear friend, every last one of you 43:13 are unique, you are special. 43:19 There's not another individual 43:23 anywhere in the vast universe of God 43:26 that's exactly like you, no where. 43:32 You are totally and completely different, unique. 43:38 You see, if God intended... 43:45 Just to have any group, 43:47 it wouldn't have made any difference, 43:50 but you see God does not clone. 43:58 The only people that clone are those who cannot create. 44:06 And when God made you, he made you special, 44:13 not another individual like you. 44:17 Therefore, that's why it is so horrible, 44:23 so absolutely terrible 44:27 if you're lost. 44:30 Because never, never, not throughout eternity, 44:36 never again will there be another 44:39 individual like you, you're special. 44:45 And because there is no one else like you, 44:49 Jesus would have died for you. 44:55 You remember, He told that parable, 44:58 one of the shortest parables that Jesus ever told. 45:02 He told the parable of the merchant 45:07 that went out looking for the pearl of great price. 45:12 And he sold everything he had 45:16 to buy that one pearl of great price. 45:20 You see, you and I think that refers 45:23 and it does, don't misunderstand me. 45:25 It refers to you and I accepting Christ 45:29 and the pearl of great price of salvation. 45:32 But it also has another meaning. 45:35 Jesus Christ is the heavenly merchant, 45:39 and He gave up everything, 45:42 so did all that He might purchase you 45:46 the pearl of great price. 45:50 See He died to save every last one of you, 45:55 and you and I cannot, we cannot friends, 45:59 go crawl in a cave 46:03 and say, "Lord, let me die." 46:07 We have the responsibility of taking this message. 46:14 I've taken it to men and women 46:16 everywhere throughout this world. 46:22 And you and I 46:27 have the privilege of helping that take place, 46:34 that's your privilege. 46:37 That's what God has given you 46:39 that there might be some soul back there 46:44 in the recesses of some far country 46:50 that can reach out and get hold of the gospel 46:53 that'll be in the kingdom, 46:56 because it was made available to them, 47:00 that's our responsibility. 47:04 And God, God is calling upon us, 47:09 He's saying, "Listen, I'm coming back. 47:15 I'm coming back, 47:17 and I'm going to gather all My people. 47:21 I'm going to send My angels. 47:24 And they're going to gather My people from the east, 47:28 and from the west, from all over the earth, 47:33 going to gather them, 47:34 and I'm going to take them to spend eternity with Me." 47:40 That is what God is calling you, 47:43 that's what He is calling me to do. 47:46 And we cannot 47:51 let the winds of strife, 47:56 and the winds of rumors, 48:00 and the winds of fault finding, 48:04 and the earthquakes, and the fire, 48:09 we can't permit that to do away with the miracles 48:13 that God has brought. 48:16 And, dear friend, I don't care who you are, 48:19 you cannot sit down and look 48:23 at what has happened here in the last 20 years, 48:27 and not say it wasn't by the power of God. 48:41 And therefore, 48:45 you and I are called to lift it up. 48:51 Lift it up by my prayers, lift it up by my support, 49:00 put your finances in a place 49:04 that God has poured out His blessing. 49:18 And I'm going to ask you, 49:21 I'm going to ask you tonight 49:24 that you, as well as myself 49:29 that we're not going to sit in our seats 49:36 and watch any human work 49:42 or any human being put down 49:46 what God has given us, not going to have that happen. 49:57 And I'm going to ask you tonight 50:03 to stand to your feet, 50:05 and dedicate yourself to God, 50:10 and say, "Lord, here's an area 50:14 that I can by the grace of God, 50:21 I can put my finances in. 50:27 I can put my support, my prayers 50:33 that there will continually be men and women 50:37 that will stand on the sea of glass, 50:41 because I was there and I supported it. 50:48 And I gave my hand to it, 50:51 and Your blessing rested upon it. 50:56 I'm also tonight going to ask, 51:02 there may be a man here, there may be a woman, 51:08 there may be a young person here 51:11 that has never surrendered their heart to Jesus Christ. 51:16 I'm going to ask you tonight, 51:19 if you would like to accept Christ 51:24 as your personal savior, 51:27 to place yourself on His side, 51:30 and to follow Him into the kingdom. 51:33 I'm going to ask you to come upfront here tonight. 51:37 I'm going to ask you, if there's a man, or women, 51:40 or a young person here 51:43 who has not followed their Lord in baptism. 51:48 But they would like to follow the Lord in baptism and say, 51:53 "Yes Lord, I want to be baptized. 51:56 I want all my sins washed away. 52:00 I want to be in your kingdom." 52:02 I'm going to ask you also to come. 52:05 I'm going to step right down in the front here. 52:08 And I'm going to ask any person 52:09 who would like to make those decisions to come tonight. 52:30 There may be a husband here tonight 52:33 who's been putting it off. 52:37 You've been there, you've gone to church, 52:41 but you never made that decision. 52:44 You've put it off. 52:46 I'm going to ask you to make that decision tonight. 52:49 Say, "Yes Lord, I'm going to come." 52:53 There may be a mother, a wife who knows it, 53:00 understands what it says, but has never made that step. 53:05 I'm going to ask you to come this evening 53:10 to make that decision 53:12 and say, "Yes, Lord, I'm going to follow You." 53:18 And a young person, 53:20 if you haven't accepted Christ into your heart 53:23 as your personal savior, tonight I'd like to ask you. 53:30 Reach out in faith and accept Him. 53:32 Oh, what a change it will make in your life. 53:36 What joy it will bring. 53:38 I'm going to ask you to come, 53:39 and I'm going to bow my head here, 53:42 and I'm going to pray, 53:44 and I'm going to ask those that like to accept Christ, 53:48 or like to be baptized to come as we pray. 54:33 This young man, come up here, come here. 54:39 God bless you. 54:45 So another young person, 54:48 another father, mother, 54:53 are you willing to give it all to Jesus tonight? 54:57 Say, yes, Lord, give my heart to You. 55:02 Won't you come this evening? 55:33 I don't want to draw this invitation out, 55:37 I want to give the Holy Spirit 55:40 an opportunity to speak, 55:43 that still small voice to speak to each heart. 55:50 If that's speaking to your heart tonight, 55:53 won't you make that decision and come? 55:57 Step out, God bless you, come on. 56:06 God bless you. God bless you. 56:18 God bless you. 56:28 As the Holy Spirit speaking to you... 56:33 Tonight just open up your heart. 56:39 Let him in. Let him come into your life. 56:58 I want to pray with you. 57:02 I want to pray that you'll stand firm, 57:06 that you'll stand for that, that God has given you, 57:11 and that you let nothing 57:14 keep you from following the Lord. 57:18 Let's just bow our heads as we pray. 57:21 Father in heaven, 57:24 we want to first Lord thank You for what You've done, 57:29 for the miracles that we've seen, 57:32 for the advancement of the cause of God 57:35 in Your word throughout the earth. 57:38 Oh, Lord, help us to understand, 57:40 now is the time to move forward, 57:43 not to go backwards. 57:45 Now is the time when we need 57:47 to put everything we have into the cause of God 57:51 and to hasten Your coming that each of us here tonight 57:57 may be ready to meet our Lord. 58:02 Lord, these that have come forward 58:05 given their hearts to You... |
