11:24 ¤ ¤ Amazing Grace
11:25 ¤ ¤
11:27 ¤ ¤ Holy, Holy, Holy
11:28 ¤ ¤
11:29 What a blessing that was. And of course it is because our God
11:31 is Holy, Holy, Holy that we want to acknowledge that and do
11:32 whatever we can to share people that He is holy, that He does
11:36 love them and that He is coming back soon to receive them, to
11:40 receive all of us. You know, some of the things that we want
11:44 to share with you today is not only the good music but share
11:47 some of the testimonies of individuals who are involved
11:50 in this project so that you could understand that anybody
11:54 and everybody can do it. You've heard some of those testimonies
11:58 already from Thursday evening and I have some really
12:01 interesting ones that the Bibles for Africa project staff have
12:07 collected that they thought would be inspiring to you.
12:11 So let me read this first one from a young lady in Mena,
12:15 Arkansas, all the way from Arkansas. And she writes to one
12:19 of the staff members and says, I took this fantastic project to
12:23 our church board meeting. You guys know what happens at a
12:27 church board meeting? Yeah. Okay. And praise the Lord. Our
12:33 church decided to support 50 dollars per month for the next
12:36 year. Isn't that a blessing. Also during the Sabbath worship
12:43 hour she showed a DVD that we saw earlier to the congregation
12:48 and handed out post paid envelopes to everybody in the
12:51 church. And she is praying that the Holy Spirit will impress
12:55 their hearts to support this project. Then she writes, I am
12:59 sending you a check of 40 dollars for Africa. Our 25th
13:04 wedding anniversary was May 25th and we would rather spend this
13:09 money for God's cause than spending it on us. So again,
13:14 a sacrifice that people are making for the cause of God.
13:18 Then there's another one here from a Dr. Jesse Bradley from
13:22 Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. She did this in a
13:26 unique way. She actually shared the Bibles for Africa project
13:30 with her Sabbath School class and with the women's ministries
13:33 group from camp meeting. So just small clusters of people that
13:38 she was introducing this by her to other people. Her Sabbath
13:42 School class returned 51 envelopes. That's a big class.
13:48 Fifty-one envelopes with 580 dollars, praise the Lord, for
13:53 290 Bibles and every week, she says, someone hands her another
13:58 envelope to hand in. So you see, once you start this process, it
14:03 just catches on. People want to be a part of something that
14:07 makes a difference in this world With everything that we see on
14:11 media and hear on the radio and see on television, it's pretty
14:15 hopeless, but we know that we have hope in Jesus Christ. So
14:18 whatever people can do to be able to extend a hand of hope
14:22 they want to be a part of this. Let me read one more. This has
14:27 become a favorite of mine, Deborah. This is from a 94-year-
14:32 old woman in Everett, Washington and she writes. First an inquiry
14:37 I just heard about your work from a friend. I am a Seventh-
14:42 day Adventist, age 94, and would like to help. Send me something
14:46 I can read about it. Am sending 10 dollars now, more of the same
14:51 next month if it sounds good. Now that's what I like, someone
14:56 who wants to be a responsible steward of God's money. So she
15:00 wants to check it out, so information was sent and this
15:03 is what she writes after having received the information. After
15:07 she received more information she decided to send 35 dollars
15:12 a month and said: This is what she said. That's all I can do
15:16 but as long as I am not in a nursing home, I will have it to
15:22 send. Lois gets around her home on a four-wheeled scooter and
15:28 still cooks her own supper every night at 94 years old. So
15:33 her goal is to stay out of the nursing home so she can support
15:38 Bibles for Africa. What a worthy cause. We're so grateful to God
15:42 that He's touched the hearts of these and so many other
15:46 individuals. So we'll hear more testimonies that will come up
15:50 after our next musical selections that we will have
15:54 by a very capable young lady. She is very blessed with gifts
15:58 that God has given her. Sophia Tsadalbasidis is going to come
16:03 and sing for you now.
16:10 I'd Rather Have Jesus. ¤ ¤
16:16 ¤I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold. ¤
16:31 ¤I'd rather be His than have riches untold. ¤
16:44 ¤I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands. ¤
16:56 ¤I'd rather be lead by His nail pierced hand. ¤
17:08 ¤Than to be the king of a vast domain¤
17:21 ¤or be held in sin's dread sway. ¤
17:37 ¤I'd rather have Jesus than man's applause¤
17:48 ¤I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause. ¤
17:59 ¤I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame¤
18:09 ¤I'd rather be true to His holy name. ¤
18:20 He's fairer than Lilies of rarest bloom,
18:37 ¤He's sweeter than honey from out of the comb. ¤
18:45 ¤He's all that my hungering spirit needs¤
18:55 ¤I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead.¤
19:10 ¤Than to be the queen of a vast domain¤
19:19 ¤Than be held in sin's dread sway. ¤
19:29 ¤I'd rather have Jesus than anything¤
19:40 ¤This world affords today. ¤
19:59 ¤ ¤ The Judgment Has Set ¤ ¤
20:18 The books have been opened.
20:23 ¤How shall we stand in that great day?¤
20:34 ¤When every thought in word and action. ¤
20:45 ¤God the righteous Judge shall reign. ¤
20:54 ¤How shall we stand in that great day?¤
21:12 ¤Shall we be found before Him wanting¤
21:21 ¤Or with our sins all washed away. ¤
21:33 ¤ ¤
21:44 ¤The work has begun with those who are sleeping. ¤
21:54 ¤Soon will the living here be tried¤
22:02 ¤Out of the book of God's remembrance¤
22:12 ¤His decision to abide¤
22:24 ¤How shall we stand that moment of searching?¤
22:34 ¤When all our sins sins those books reveal.
22:44 ¤When from the courts, each case was decided¤
22:53 ¤Shall we granted no appeal?¤
23:04 ¤How shall we stand in that great day?¤
23:20 ¤Shall we be found before Him wanting?
23:28 ¤Or with our sins, or with our sins all washed away?¤
23:58 Thank you Sofia. Yes, how will we stand in that great day?
24:06 Much of what we do in our lives today will answer that question.
24:10 And as we've heard all weekend long, really the watchword seems
24:14 to be surrender, to give to Christ everything, give to
24:18 Christ all and then we shall stand in that great day ready
24:22 to see our Lord and our Savior. One of the other words that
24:27 comes to mind as I have listened to and I'm reading
24:30 these testimonies is the word sacrifice. This seems to be a
24:34 common theme for individuals who have been a part of this project
24:40 I have two that I'd like to read to you at this time and the
24:44 first comes from a young lady, Eunice, from the Praise
24:48 Tabernacle of Seventh-day Adventist church, otherwise
24:52 known as Praise Tab. Her handwritten note doesn't say
24:56 where this church is located. By the way, it really is a
25:00 treasure to read some of these notes that are handwritten. You
25:04 can just kind of feel the personal passion in the notes as
25:09 they're written. She writes: Dear RP (Remnant Publications)
25:13 staff: Even though our little church is going through an acute
25:19 financial crisis a band full of members wants to do what they
25:24 could to be a part of the project. We pray that the Bibles
25:29 and the money order will be a blessing. And this small band
25:34 of members within this church undergoing an acute financial
25:39 crisis, sent 75 dollars to support the project. Amen?
25:45 You know when you're in an acute financial crisis what do you
25:50 usually send? A request! A request; please send some money!
25:55 They sacrificed and sent 75 dollars for the blessings of the
26:00 project. Thank you very much, Eunice and the Praise Tabernacle
26:06 Church. Then we have another one This is from a gentleman who has
26:12 become the self-appointed coordinator of the Bibles for
26:16 Africa campaign _ church. This church, on the
26:19 books they have 27 members but only about 10-12 in attendance
26:25 each week, each Sabbath. However, He says, I knew that
26:30 even this little church could do something to help. I figured
26:34 that we could work in July and do whatever we can. So He showed
26:38 the DVD one Sabbath and he spoke to the people about it each week
26:41 They mentioned it at announcement times
26:43 and he says, And though our total may not be much we have
26:49 collected enough to sponsor 78 Bibles which will reach 1560
26:54 people in Africa. Amen! That does not include the few Bibles
26:58 that we've collected. You notice how people are tallying up the
27:03 number of people that their contribution will reach. They're
27:09 doing the math and they say ah we're going to reach 1560 souls
27:15 at least. Then he adds his personal testimony. He says: I'm
27:21 not well off financially, (we're talking about sacrifice) however
27:25 as the local coordinator for the Bibles for Africa campaign I
27:28 felt that I could not ask others to something that I was unable
27:33 to do myself. In prayer, I spoke with God the following: Dear God
27:37 I know how important it is to you for the people in Africa to
27:42 be able to read your word and you know the situation that I am
27:47 in financially. If it is your will for me to help you then you
27:52 will need to find a way. In our church he says we have a group
27:57 of prayer warriors. One Sabbath during prayer request time one
28:01 gentleman mentioned that the gas prices were too high and He
28:05 would like them to go down. At the time the price was 3.19 a
28:11 gallon. We feel his pain. I wondered why God would answer
28:16 that request. Then it came to me. In the month of July, if
28:21 the price of gas goes down at all, any difference from the
28:25 $3.19 and the current price, I would donate that difference.
28:30 In addition, any loose change that I would collect I would
28:35 also donate. God found a way. The next day I filled my tank at
28:39 $2.89 per gallon It continued to drop and at one point the price
28:44 went down to $2.69. Funny thing, he says. After talking with
28:49 others I was the only one finding the gas prices this low.
28:55 Then he asked if I have some kind of savings card. No. Can
29:01 you believe it? In July, I was able to save $28.53 in gas.
29:07 Then something else happened. Normally I would only collect
29:11 about $8 a month in change. July doubled to $16.13 counting the
29:20 pennies. So all together God helped me to save $44.66. Then
29:27 he writes: I also donated five Bibles from my home and with
29:32 the one Bible/one donation that's an additional $10. If
29:38 you're counting that comes to $54.66. I rounded it off to the
29:45 next Bible. So mine and God's offering was $56. So the $56
29:53 is included with the $156 from this church of 10-12 people.
30:00 Isn't that a wonderful blessing. Now that is the spirit of
30:04 sacrifice. So when you're praying for God to drop the gas
30:10 watch out. He just may answer you. At this time we will now
30:15 enjoy some more wonderful music by Scott Michael Bennett.
30:35 ¤In my darkness Jesus found me. Touched my eyes and made me see¤
30:49 ¤Broke sin's chains that long had bound me¤
30:53 ¤Gave me life and liberty.¤

37:34 ¤Forever and a day.¤
37:41 ¤There'll be no sin, There'll be no pain.¤
37:45 ¤Forever and a day.¤ ¤
38:10 Thank you very much for that thought provoking message.
38:18 There'll be no pain, no tears. All that will be gone. When I
38:25 read this very next one amazing how God works. He kind of speaks
38:32 to that in some way. I'll elaborate further. But this
38:35 comes from Marlene in Rockford, Illinois and she writes: While
38:42 reading through the Lake Union Herald, this is our church
38:46 publication, in March of 2007 I noticed the Bible drive for
38:51 the South African division. This came at the perfect time because
38:55 I had been thinking about thinning out our library here
38:58 at home. There were two shelves of Bibles and several of them
39:04 that we never use. So I ran downstairs and found the ones
39:09 that are included here (in the donation she sent). I dearly
39:12 would love for our brothers and sisters in South Africa to
39:17 have these Bibles. I visited South Africa in 2000 and was
39:22 so impressed with the needs there and the joyful people I
39:26 met. I know that they have many needs. But to meet these
39:30 wonderful people. They are full of love and acceptance,
39:34 something we don't often find in our own country. Please accept
39:39 these few Bibles along with our prayers for a successful Bible
39:43 drive for our South African brothers and sisters. You see
39:48 this testimony realizes and recognizes that there are so
39:53 many needs, the needs that were just sung about, pain and
39:57 suffering. All of that will be gone when Jesus comes.
40:01 But when Jesus comes will those people who have those needs who
40:07 are in those situations, will they know him? Will they have
40:11 had the opportunity? Will we have been a part of making that
40:17 possible? We can, we can today. So Bibles for Africa. We want to
40:22 make that come true. Thank you so much Scott Michael Bennett
40:27 for that message in song. The next testimony: This comes from
40:33 Pat from the Windsor Ontario, Canada church. We just wanted
40:38 you to know that we showed the DVD Bibles for Africa and are
40:44 promoting it for two weeks in our church. Here is $1000 from
40:50 our church for the Bibles. We are truly excited about this and
40:54 watched the interviews on 3ABN. Isn't this exciting, $1000
40:59 coming from Canada for the Bibles for Africa project. She
41:04 continues: May God truly bless the work that you are doing and
41:08 strengthen you all at Remnant Publications so that Africa may
41:12 be enlightened with God's word. Thank you so much, Pat and
41:16 the Windsor Seventh-day Adventist church. Everybody is
41:21 doing what they can. Are we? And this last one, probably the
41:27 shortest one. It's only about five lines, scribbled in pencil
41:31 but I tell you this to me feels like the epitome of sacrifice.
41:35 This is from Bill in Tappahannock, Virginia.
41:38 And he writes: We were thinking of coming to the rally but
41:43 decided that the money would do more good by getting more
41:48 Bibles. So here's the donation for Bibles for Africa, $344. So
41:57 instead of coming they sent. They sent what it would have
42:02 taken for them to come so that they could support Bibles for
42:07 Africa. Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus for touching the heart
42:13 of Bill and Pat and Eunice and the 94-year-old and all of these
42:18 people and more and more and more for all that they have
42:22 contributed of themselves personally, of their money, of
42:26 their resources of what they don't have, of the Bibles that
42:29 they have in their home so that we can tell somebody else that
42:33 Jesus loves them and that He's coming soon. I do want to remind
42:38 you as we close off this particular segment. These are
42:41 our last testimonies that we'll share with you in this meeting
42:45 but tomorrow morning we have another meeting. So please don't
42:49 go home thinking this is the end It's wonderful music and it's
42:55 in music but we do want to remind you, even at this point,
42:59 that we have our culminating service tomorrow morning at 9:45
43:03 and Pastor Mark Howard will be sharing with us then to kind of
43:07 bring it to an end or should I say bring it to a beginning?
43:13 Now we'll hear from Jeremy Hall and then One Voice will close
43:18 out our concert.
43:20 ¤Alone He stepped from glory to a shamed and shattered world
43:38 ¤And in the womb His hand once made He took our human form. ¤
43:48 ¤For the Lord of all creation in the flesh of created man¤
43:58 ¤gave His throne up for a manger the Son of God became a stranger
44:07 ¤He was a lonely man and traveling through a barren land¤
44:16 ¤recognized by those He'd come to save and yet for them His¤
44:25 ¤life He freely gave. He was the only man who could ever make us¤
44:35 ¤understand that God is merciful and God is just¤
44:41 ¤and forever proving His Father's love for us¤
44:46 ¤This lonely man. ¤ ¤
45:05 ¤Lonely in Gethsemane He drank that bitter cup. He walked the¤
45:16 ¤road to Calvary without a second thought.¤
45:23 ¤His only care was for His children and restoring them to¤
45:31 ¤Him. A lamb led to the slaughter so mankind might see¤
45:39 ¤the Father. ¤
45:43 ¤He was a lonely man traveling through a barren land. ¤
45:51 ¤Recognized by those He'd come to save and yet for them His¤
45:59 ¤life He freely gave. He was the only man who could ever make¤
46:07 ¤understand God is merciful and God is just, and forever prove¤
46:15 ¤His Father's love for us. This lonely man, this lonely man¤ ¤
47:04 Jesus walked a lonely road for us and He did so willingly and
47:09 gladly. You know, sometimes in life we forget that don't we?
47:14 We forget that Jesus is ready and willing to take our burdens
47:20 but for some reason we just keep carrying them around. Can any
47:25 of you identify with that? I know I do. The next song that
47:30 we'd like to do for you is an old favorite. It's a song called
47:34 Give Them All To Jesus and I invite you during this song, if
47:38 you have a burden in your life, wherever you are, I invite you
47:42 to give that burden to Jesus now
47:57 ¤ ¤ Give Them All to Jesus Gene and Jeremy Hall ¤ ¤
48:24 ¤Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows? Are you tired of¤
48:33 ¤spinning round and round? Wrap up all the shattered dreams of¤
48:44 ¤your life. At the feet of Jesus lay them down.¤
48:57 ¤Give them all, give them all, Give them all to Jesus.¤
49:06 ¤Shattered dreams, wounded hearts and broken toys.¤
49:15 ¤Give them all, give them all give them all to Jesus¤
49:25 ¤and He will turn your sorrows into joys.¤
49:32 ¤ ¤
49:53 ¤He never said you'd only see sunshine.¤
50:01 ¤He never said there'd be no rain.¤
50:06 ¤He only promised a heart full of singing.¤
50:15 ¤About the very things that once brought pain.¤
50:25 ¤Give them all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus.¤
50:35 ¤Shattered dreams, wounded hearts and broken toys.¤
50:45 ¤Give the all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus¤
50:54 ¤And He will turn your sorrows into joy.¤ ¤
51:21 ¤Give them all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus¤
51:30 ¤shattered dreams, wounded hearts and broken toys.¤
51:38 ¤Give them all, Give them all, Give them all to Jesus,¤
51:47 ¤And He will turn your sorrows, And He will turn your sorrows,¤
51:56 ¤Yes, He will turn your sorrows into joys.¤ ¤
52:27 As Christians there's just one thing that we have to do.
52:34 It's very simple, stay close to somebody and that person is
52:39 Jesus. So easy, everybody can do it and how do you do that?
52:45 pray, pray, pray, worship, worship, praise, praise, praise.
52:49 The next song that we're going to sing Nearer to Thee. We pray
52:53 that you stay near to Jesus. One Voice - Nearer to Thee.
52:58 ¤Nearer to thee, nearer to Thee I want to be. I want to dig¤
53:04 ¤a little deeper in the storehouse of His love.¤
53:09 ¤I want to shine, with love divine, I want to dig a little¤
53:16 ¤deeper in the storehouse of His love. Now don't you want to¤
53:21 ¤dig a little deeper in God's love, you want to dig a little¤
53:26 ¤deeper in God's love. I want to dig a little deeper in the¤
53:32 ¤storehouse of His love. I want to walk a little more like a¤
53:36 ¤Christian should, I want to talk a little more like I know¤
53:41 ¤I should. Dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love. ¤
53:46 ¤I want to love like my Jesus loved. ¤
53:54 ¤I gonna dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love¤
53:59 ¤I want to shine with love divine¤
54:08 ¤I wanna dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love.¤
54:16 ¤Don't you wanna dig a little deeper in God's love¤
54:21 ¤I wanna dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love.¤
54:25 ¤I wanna walk a little more like a Christian should¤
54:30 ¤I wanna talk a little more like I know I should. ¤
54:36 ¤Dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love. ¤
54:40 ¤Now don't you wanna dig a little deeper oh, oh, oh. ¤
54:44 ¤Dig a little deeper in God's love. ¤
54:47 ¤Dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love. ¤
54:52 ¤I wanna walk a little more like a Christian should,¤
54:57 ¤Talk a little more like I now I should. ¤
55:00 ¤Dig a little deeper in the storehouse,¤
55:04 ¤Dig a little deeper in the storehouse,¤
55:07 ¤Dig a little deeper in the storehouse of His love,¤
55:13 ¤Of His love. ¤
55:25 There was a church and I believe it was here in Michigan. It was
55:30 a small church, in fact, it only had four members and this church
55:34 decided that they wanted to partake in the Bibles for Africa
55:39 project. So the pastor came to each of the members and he
55:43 kind of got to know them pretty well, so he gave them each a
55:47 nickname. He named the first one Everybody, he named the second
55:52 one Somebody, the third one was Anybody and the fourth member of
55:57 His church they called Nobody. He went around soliciting funds
56:02 and he went to everybody and said can you please give me
56:05 funds. We've got this great project going on and we're going
56:08 send Bibles to Africa. Then he went to Somebody and said
56:12 listen it's such a great cause and one Bible can reach 20
56:15 people and it only takes two Bibles. And he went to Anybody
56:19 I'm sure you can give me something. When it was all said
56:22 and done guess who gave the most money? Nobody. This song is one
56:27 of our favorites with the group It's called Everybody Said, But
56:32 Nobody Did. You know when it really comes down to it, if you
56:35 think that somebody else in your church is going to give,
56:38 somebody else is going to get involved we're never going to
56:41 reach our goal that way. We have to all take this as a personal
56:44 interest in our own lives. The song is called Everybody Said
56:47 but Nobody Did.
