Not only 00:26 through the spoken word but also through 00:27 the word that is sung and put to music and 00:30 today we have a very exciting group. 00:32 A group of men that hail from Southern 00:34 Tennessee and Northern Georgia and they're 00:36 named in Spirit. And they're gonna 00:39 bless our hearts with some wonderful 00:41 inspiring music, the word of God put 00:44 to music. So sit back, invite your friends 00:46 and family to be uplifted and drawn 00:48 closer to Christ through this very 00:50 inspirational music. You know this 00:53 group is a group that's growing in size 00:54 they are very diverse not only ethnically 00:57 but also professionally. But, they are 00:59 truly united in the mission of spreading God's 01:02 word through music. They also have a 01:04 debut CD entitled Praise and you can go 01:06 to inspiritmenschorus. com if you are 01:10 interested in getting that music and 01:12 sharing with your friends and family but 01:14 for right now Gerald Peel is the director 01:16 of the InSpirit Men's Chorus sit back and 01:18 enjoy as he introduces the first song 01:21 entitled Yesterday, Today, And Forever. 02:29 Hello and welcome to a concert by 02:30 InSpirit the Men's Chorus. We hope that 02:40 that is your experience as you 02:41 watch this program today. 02:48 Yesterday, today, forever Jesus is the same. 02:56 All may change, but Jesus never! Glory to His Name! 03:06 Glory to His Name! Glory to His Name! 03:15 All may change, but Jesus never! Glory to His Name! 03:28 All may change, but Jesus never! Glory to His Name! 03:52 As wars rage across the globe, 03:54 natural disasters frequent the headlines, 03:56 economies crumble and all on which one 04:00 used to depend erodes away, 04:02 its encouraging to know that there is 04:04 one thing that remains unchanging, 04:07 a loving God who is the same yesterday, 04:09 today, and forever. Praise be to Him, 04:13 we're in spirit comprised of men from 04:16 Southeast Tennessee and Northwest 04:18 Georgia. We're diverse in age denomination 04:21 and profession. But united in the joy 04:24 of praising God through song, we formed 04:27 in the spring of 2003 to sing for a church 04:31 event highlighting the role of men in 04:33 family and society. Since then we have 04:37 preformed for churches large and small and 04:40 sung for Easter pageants, special 04:42 occasions and fundraising events. 04:45 As well as camp meetings and retreats. 04:48 The group consists of accounts and nurses, 04:51 pastors, physicians, Real Estate brokers 04:54 and investors, retirees, salesman, 04:57 students and teachers. Most importantly 05:00 we are here to praise the Lord as Moses 05:03 prayed in Psalm 90 verse 2. Before the 05:07 mountains were born or you brought forth 05:09 the earth and the world, from 05:11 everlasting to everlasting you are God. 05:30 Amazing grace! How sweet the sound 05:43 That saved a wretch like me. 05:57 I once was lost but now am found, 06:10 I once was blind but now I see. 06:31 T'was grace that taught my heart to fear, 06:44 And grace my fears relieved, 06:57 How precious did that grace appear 07:10 The hour I first believed! 07:29 Through many dangers, toil and snares, 07:41 I have already come; 07:53 'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, 08:10 And grace will lead me home. 08:36 When we've been there ten thousand years 08:48 Bright shining as the sun, 09:00 We've no less days to sing God's praise 09:12 Then since the day we first begun. 09:28 Then since the day we first begun. 10:01 No turning back, no turning back. 10:06 No turning back, I have decided to follow Jesus 10:19 I have decided to follow Jesus 10:26 I have decided to follow Jesus 10:33 No turning back, no turning back. 10:41 No turning back, 10:49 Though no one joins me, still I will follow; 10:55 Though no one joins me, still I will follow; 11:02 Though no one joins me, still I will follow; 11:08 No turning back; No turning back. 11:11 No turning back; No turning back. 11:16 The world behind me, the cross before me, 11:23 The world behind me, the cross before me, 11:29 The world behind me, the cross before me, 11:36 No turning back, no turning back, 11:40 No turning back, no turning back, 11:43 No turning back, no turning back, 12:00 Steal away, steal away, steal away to Jesus! 12:18 Steal away, steal away home, 12:32 I ain't got long to stay here. 12:44 Steal away, steal away, steal away to Jesus! 13:02 Steal away, steal away home, 13:15 I ain't got long to stay here. 13:27 My Lord he calls me, 13:30 he calls me by the thunder; 13:33 the trumpet sounds within my soul. 13:42 I ain't got long to stay here. 13:54 Green trees a-bending, 13:56 poor sinners stand a-trembling; 13:59 the trumpet sounds within my soul, 14:08 I ain't got long to stay here. 14:19 My Lord he calls me, 14:22 he calls me by the lightning; 14:25 the trumpet sounds within-a my soul, 14:34 I ain't got long to stay here. 14:46 Steal away, steal away, steal away to Jesus! 15:03 Steal away, steal away home, 15:17 I ain't got long to stay here. 15:29 Steal away, steal away, steal away to home 16:06 He's a Rock, He's a Rock. 16:08 Jesus is the Rock, He's a Rock. 16:11 A Shelter in the time of storm; 16:15 The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide, 16:19 A Shelter in the time of storm; 16:23 Secure whatever ill betide, 16:29 A Shelter in the time of storm. 16:33 Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, 16:38 A weary land, here in this weary land; 16:42 Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, 16:47 A Shelter in the time of storm. 16:53 He is a Rock, Jesus is the Rock, He is a Rock. 16:54 A Shelter in the time of storm; 16:58 A shade by day, defense by night, 17:01 He is a Shelter in the time of storm; 17:05 No fears alarm, no foes no fright, 17:12 A Shelter in the time of storm. 17:15 Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, 17:21 A weary land, here in this weary land; 17:24 Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, 17:29 A Shelter in the time of storm. 17:32 The raging storms may round us beat, 17:38 A Shelter in the time of storm 17:40 We'll never leave our safe retreat, 17:46 A Shelter in the time of storm. 17:50 He is a Shelter, Oh Jesus 17:53 He is a Rock, He is a Rock. 17:57 Weary, weary, weary, weary, weary land; 18:01 Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, 18:09 A Shelter in the time of storm. 18:18 He is a Rock, Jesus is the Rock, He is a Rock. 18:20 A Shelter in the time of storm; He is a Rock. 18:33 Indeed God is our shelter in the time of 18:35 storm. Unfortunately the storms of this 18:38 life are only temporary, we share Abraham's 18:41 experience as recorded in Hebrews 11, 9 18:44 and 10. By faith he made his home in 18:47 the promised land like a stranger in a 18:49 foreign country. He lived intense as did 18:52 Isaac and Jacob who were heirs with him 18:54 of the same promise. For he was 18:56 looking forward to the city with 18:58 foundations whose architect and builder is 19:00 God. While we are but strangers in a 19:03 foreign land soon Lord himself shall 19:06 descend from heaven with a shout, 19:08 with the voice of the archangel, and with 19:10 the trump of God, and the dead in Christ 19:13 shall rise first: Then we which are alive and 19:16 remain shall be caught up together with them 19:18 in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; 19:21 and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 19:31 I will praise Him! I will praise Him! 19:40 Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; 19:48 Give Him glory, all ye people, 19:56 Give Him glory, all ye people, 20:03 For His blood can wash away each stain. 20:12 I will praise Him! I will praise Him! 20:21 I will praise Him! I will praise the Lord. 20:38 In thee O Lord, do I put my trust, 20:53 In tree O Lord, do I put my trust, 21:07 for thou art far from me O Lord, 21:22 for thou art far from me O Lord. 21:33 Make haste unto me, Make haste unto 21:39 me O Lord, and stay Lord, O stay thou 21:53 with me. And I will praise thy name for 22:00 forever, And I will praise thy name forever 22:06 and praise thy name forever more and I 22:13 will praise thy name forever more. 22:22 Forever more. Go not far from me 22:45 O Lord. Go not far from me. 23:13 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:15 with God And the Word was God and the Same was 23:18 in the beginning with God 23:20 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:23 with God And the Word was God and the Same was 23:26 in the beginning with God 23:28 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:31 with God And the Word was God 23:33 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:36 with God And the Word was God 23:39 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:42 with God And the Word was God 23:44 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 23:47 with God And the Word was God 23:51 All things were made that have been made nothing 23:58 was that was not made. 24:02 All things were made that have been made nothing 24:09 was made he has not made. 24:17 All things were made that have been made nothing 24:20 was made he has not made. 24:21 All things were made by him, 24:22 all things were made by him, 24:24 all things were made by him. 24:25 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:27 with God And the Word was God 24:30 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:34 with God And the Word was God 24:37 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:40 with God And the Word was God 24:42 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:45 with God And the Word was God 24:48 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:51 with God And the Word was God 24:54 In the beginning was the Word And the Word was 24:56 with God And the Word was God 24:57 And the Word And the Word And the Word Was God 25:13 Soon one morning Death comes creeping in the room 25:23 Soon one morning Death comes creeping in the room 25:34 Soon, Soon one morning 25:39 Death comes creeping in the room saying 25:42 Oh my Lord, oh my Lord, 25:47 what shall I do, what shall I do 25:52 Oh brother won't you hush, hush, 25:58 Somebody's knocking at your door 26:02 Brother, hush, Somebody's knocking at your door 26:13 Hush! Brother 26:56 Somebody's knocking at your door, saying 27:00 Oh my Lord, oh my Lord, 27:04 what shall I do, what shall I do 27:18 A Bible commenter writes, prayer is 27:20 the opening of the heart to God as to 27:22 a friend, not that is just necessary in 27:25 order to make known to God what we are, 27:28 but in order to enable us to receive him. 27:31 Prayer does not bring God down to us 27:33 but brings us up to him when Jesus was 27:37 upon the earth he taught his disciples how 27:39 to pray. He directed them to present their 27:43 daily needs before God and to cast all their 27:46 care upon him and the assurance he gave 27:49 them that their petitions should be 27:51 heard is assurance also to us. 27:58 Our Father, who art in heaven, 28:08 Hallowed be thy Name. 28:17 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, 28:22 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, 28:26 On earth as it is in heaven. 28:36 Give us this day our daily bread, 28:40 And forgive us our trespasses, 28:44 As we forgive those who trespass against us. 28:53 And lead us not into temptation, 29:04 But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, 29:19 and the power, and the glory, 29:22 forever and ever, and ever more. 29:32 Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. 30:08 My God is so high, you can't get over Him, 30:16 He's so low, you can't get under Him, 30:22 He's so wide, you can't get around Him 30:28 You must come in by and through the Lamb. 30:33 One day as I was walkin' 30:39 Along the heavenly road, 30:45 My Savior spoke unto me, 30:50 And He filled my heart with love. 30:54 My God is so high, you can't get over Him, 31:02 He's so low, you can't get under Him, 31:08 He's so wide, you can't get around Him 31:14 You must come in by and through the Lamb. 31:19 I'll take my gospel trumpet and I'll begin to blow 31:31 And if my Savior help me, 31:36 I'll blow it wherever I go 31:40 My God is so high, you can't get over Him, 31:48 He's so low, you can't get under Him, 31:54 He's so wide, you can't get around Him 31:59 You must come in by and through the Lamb. 32:04 He is So high You can't get around Him; 32:10 He's so low, you can't get under Him, 32:15 He's so wide, you can't get around Him 32:21 You must come in by and through the Lamb. 32:46 The Lord has done so much for us 32:48 what is our response to him? Luke 19:40 32:51 says if we keep silent the rocks would 32:53 cry out. The witness hall of fame is 32:56 found in Hebrews 11 such names as 32:58 Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Samson, 33:01 David and the Prophets are mentioned. 33:04 Hebrews 12 then asks about us. 33:07 Since we are surrounded by such a great 33:09 cloud of witnesses, let us throw off 33:12 everything that hinders and the sin that 33:14 so easily entangles, and let us run with 33:16 perseverance the race marked out for us. 33:19 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author 33:22 and perfecter of our faith, may we be 33:25 faithful witnesses to the saving grace of 33:27 Jesus in our ives as those 33:29 who preceded us have done. 33:34 For my Lord, for my Lord 33:44 My soul is a witness for my Lord 33:52 For my Lord, for my Lord. 34:01 My soul is a witness for my Lord 34:10 My soul is a witness for my Lord 34:14 Yes, I'm a witness for my Lord 34:17 My soul is a witness for my Lord 34:22 Oh who will be a witness for my Lord 34:25 My soul is a witness for my Lord 34:30 Yes, I'm a witness for my Lord 34:34 My soul is a witness for my Lord 34:38 Oh who will be a witness for my Lord 34:41 Oh I haven't been to heaven but I've been 34:44 told that the streets up there are made with 34:49 gold, oh I wanna go to heaven and I wanna 34:52 go back, yes I wanna go to 34:54 heaven all dressed in white. 34:56 Yes, my soul is a witness for my Lord 35:01 Yes, I'm a witness for my Lord 35:05 My soul is a witness for my Lord 35:09 Oh who will be a witness for my Lord 35:12 Now Daniel was a Hebrew child. 35:17 He went to pray to his God for a while, 35:20 The King at once for Daniel did send, 35:23 And he put him down in the lion's den; 35:27 Yes. We read about Samson, from his birth 35:32 The strongest man that lived on earth. 35:36 Delilah shaved his head just as clean as your hand 35:39 And his strength became as a common man. 35:42 Yes, my soul is a witness for my Lord 35:47 Yes, I'm a witness for my Lord 35:50 My soul is a witness for my Lord 35:54 Oh who will be a witness for my Lord 35:58 well, who will be a witness? 36:00 Daniel was a witness Who will be a witness? 36:04 Samson was a witness, Moses was a witness, 36:08 Jonah was a witness, 36:10 Peter was a witness for my Lord. 36:14 Paul was a witness, Silas was a witness, 36:18 Mary was a witness 36:20 Noah was a witness. Witness for my Lord. 36:53 Here comes the Lord riding on a donkey 36:57 And people waving branches and callin' him "King." 37:02 Here comes the Lord ridin' through Jerusalem. 37:07 If the people don't shout, the rocks will cry out! 37:13 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus comes to set me free. 37:18 Rocks, keep silent! I'm gonna shout in victory! 37:22 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus reigns in majesty. 37:27 Ain't no rock gonna shout for me. 37:38 Here comes the Lord as thousands throng to see him. 37:42 Children stand on tiptoe to see the King. 37:47 Here comes the Lord; excitement in the air. 37:51 If the people don't shout, the rocks will cry! 37:55 Oh yes, the rocks will cry out! 38:01 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus comes to set me free. 38:05 Rocks, keep silent! I'm gonna shout in victory! 38:09 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus reigns in majesty. 38:14 Ain't no rock gonna shout for me. 38:21 Rocks, keep silent! Ain't no 38:23 rock gonna shout for me. 38:25 Rocks, keep silent! Ain't no 38:28 rock gonna shout for me. 38:32 Here comes the Lord; hosannas fill the air. 38:37 The people bow and worship the promised King! 38:41 Here comes the Lord, "Hosanna in the highest!" 38:46 If the people don't shout, the rocks will cry out! 38:53 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus comes to set me free. 38:57 Rocks, keep silent! I'm gonna shout in victory! 39:02 Rocks, keep silent! Jesus reigns in majesty. 39:06 Ain't no rock gonna shout for me. 39:11 Ain't no rock gonna shout for me. 39:21 Ain't no rock gonna shout for me. 39:30 While we may face many dark valleys in 39:32 this life. It is encouraging to know that 39:34 Jesus will always be on our side. 39:37 Just as He calmed the storm that threatened 39:40 to sweep his disciples into the depths of 39:42 the sea. Jesus also walks with us through 39:45 the storms and the valleys of our lives. 39:52 We shall walk through the valley 39:58 of the shadow of death, 40:05 We shall walk through the valley in peace. 40:17 And if Jesus, himself, shall will be our savior, oh 40:29 We shall walk through the valley in peace. 40:40 There will be no sorrow there; 40:51 There will be no sorrow there; 41:01 And if Jesus, Himself shall be our leader 41:13 We shall walk through the valley in peace. 41:46 And if Jesus, Himself shall be our leader 42:00 We shall walk through the valley in peace. 42:30 All the night, all the day, 42:35 I got the Angels watching over me, 42:41 They're gonna keep me safe, 42:43 They're gonna guide my feet 42:46 They're gonna help me stay on the narrow way. 42:51 All the night, all the day, 42:56 I got the Angels watching over me, 43:02 They're gonna keep me safe, 43:04 They're gonna guide my feet 43:07 They're gonna help me stay on the narrow way. 43:13 All the night, all the day, 43:18 I got the Angels watching over me, 43:23 They're gonna keep me safe, 43:25 They're gonna guide my feet 43:28 They're gonna help me stay on the narrow way. 43:33 All the night, all the day, 43:39 I got the Angels watching over me, 43:45 They're gonna keep me safe, 43:47 They're gonna guide my feet 43:49 They're gonna help me stay on the narrow way. 43:55 Now I lay me down to sleep, 43:59 I got the Angels watching over me, my Lord. 44:05 I pray the Lord my soul to take, 44:10 I got the Angels watching over me. 44:15 If I die before I wake, 44:21 Angels watching over me, my Lord. 44:27 I pray the Lord my soul to take, 44:30 Angels watching over me. 44:34 Angels watching over me. Angels watching over me. 44:43 I got the angels watching over me. 44:54 I got the angels watching me, 44:57 All the night, all the day 45:04 Angels watching over me. 45:08 All the night, all the day 45:16 I got the angels watching over me. 45:26 I got the angels watching over me. 45:38 There's a land that is fairer than day, 45:46 And by faith we can see it afar; 45:53 For the Father waits over the way. 46:01 To prepare us a dwelling place there. 46:08 In the sweet by and by, 46:16 We shall meet on that beautiful shore; 46:24 In the sweet by and by, 46:32 We shall meet on that beautiful shore. 46:40 To our bountiful Father above, 46:47 We will offer out tribute of praise. 46:55 For the glorious gift of His love. 47:03 And the blessings that hallow our days. 47:10 In the sweet by and by, 47:18 We shall meet on that beautiful shore; 47:26 In the sweet by and by, 47:34 We shall meet on that beautiful shore. 47:42 In the sweet by and by, In the sweet by and by, 47:58 We shall meet on that beautiful shore. 48:18 In 1964, composer Wayne Hooper said 48:21 these words of E.G White to music, 48:23 The greatest want of the world is the 48:25 want of men, men who will not be bought 48:28 or sold, men who in their inmost souls are 48:31 true and honest, men who do not fear to 48:34 call sin by its right name, men whose 48:37 conscience is as true to duty as the needle 48:40 to the pole, men who will stand for 48:42 the right though the heavens fall. 49:10 The greatest want of the world is the want of men. 49:28 The greatest want of the world is the want of men. 49:51 Men, men who will not be bought or sold, 50:01 Men, men who in their inmost 50:08 souls are true and honest, 50:20 Men, men who do not fear, 50:30 do not fear to call sin by its right name, 50:43 Men whose conscience is as true to duty, 50:49 as true to duty as the needle to the pole, 50:57 As true as the needle to the pole 51:16 Men who will stand for right 51:20 though the heavens fall 51:26 Men who will stand for right 51:31 though the heavens fall 51:41 Men who will stand for right, 51:47 who will stand for right, 51:49 though the heavens fall. Though the heavens fall. 52:11 The greatest want of the world is the want of men. 52:39 There are many parting words immortalized 52:41 in scripture from Jesus, peace I live with 52:45 you, my peace I give unto you to the 52:48 Apostle Paul's parting words, 52:50 I have fought a good fight, I have finished 52:53 my course, I have kept the faith, 52:56 Henceforth there is laid up for me a 52:58 crown of righteousness, which the Lord, 53:01 the righteous judge, shall give me at that 53:04 day: and not to me only, but unto all 53:07 them also that love his appearing may 53:10 we all along for and love his appearing one 53:13 day soon. We too have some parting words, 53:17 a parting blessing, an old Irish text 53:21 set to music by Jerome Williams. 53:27 May the road rise to meet you, 53:37 May the wind be always at your back, 53:43 May the sun shine warmly upon your face, 53:59 May the rain fall soft upon your fields, 54:09 And, until we meet again, 54:15 May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand. 54:34 Thank you so much InSpirit for those 54:36 wonderful songs and that last one you 54:38 heard was entitled Parting Blessings. 54:41 It reminds me of the story of the Abraham 54:42 and Lot as they parted their ways in the 54:45 Bible and Genesis says one say to the 54:48 other, May the Lord watch between us 54:50 while we're absent one from another. 54:52 Its amazing the power of music that allows 54:54 us to be connected though separated by 54:57 time and distance, the word of God keeps 54:59 us together and also the power of music 55:02 does the very same thing. 55:03 In the Bible you find that the children of 55:05 Israel used music as an instrument of 55:08 encouragement and strength as they 55:10 prepared to go into battle.
