01:00 Good evening and greetings from the
01:03 ASI Youth Convention. Most of you are probably 01:06 aware that while you're adult meetings 01:09 are being held, we have a separate 01:11 and complete youth convention 01:12 going on for the children. Our leaders 01:16 have all been working for many months 01:17 to carefully plan and prepare the 01:20 special programs for your children. 01:22 Our goal is not to entertain 01:24 the young people, but to provide 01:27 uplifting speakers, activities 01:30 and programming to lead the young people to have 01:34 a closure walk with God and now I would like to 01:38 give you the opportunity to meet our leaders. 02:01 Well, good evening everyone my name is 02:03 Teresa Hargreaves and our family has had 02:06 the privilege of working with the 02:08 kindergarten department. Our theme this year 02:12 has been preparing to meet Jesus 02:14 and we have been learning many things on 02:17 how we can be ready for Jesus soon coming. 02:21 We first learned about the image of Daniel 2 02:24 and how God says something it happens 02:28 and that we know the God's word is true 02:32 and then we also learned that the stone 02:34 which came down and hit the image represents 02:37 Jesus soon coming kingdom and because 02:40 its easier to remember our Bible verses to song 02:43 we learn some memory verses and we would like 02:46 to share them with each of you. 02:57 The stone that hit the image became 03:03 a large mountain. And it filled the whole earth. 03:11 The stone that hit the image became 03:18 a large mountain. And it filled the whole earth. 03:33 Thy word is true Thy word is true 03:43 Psalm 119:160 says Thy word is true 03:54 And one of the ways we prepare for Jesus 03:56 soon coming is by putting the Bible promises 03:59 into our minds. So children, 04:02 what is the Bible like? Lamp, a lamp that's right 04:07 and we gonna share song about that. 04:12 Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet 04:20 And a light unto my path. Thy Word is a lamp, 04:29 Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, Psalm 119:105 04:46 So, now children when is Jesus coming? 04:49 Soon, yes you are right. 04:55 And, behold, I come quickly; 05:01 And, behold, I come quickly; Revelation 22:12 05:11 So, we have greatly enjoyed having 05:14 your children with us in the 05:16 Kindergarten department and I pray the God 05:19 will help each of us to be preparing to meet 05:22 Jesus as we have learned about 05:24 this week. Thank you. Amen. 05:42 Good evening! Good evening, 05:46 it has been so much fun to work with this group 05:50 of primaries. They have worked diligently 05:53 and memorized the Ten Commandments 05:55 and what have we studied this year? Sanctuary. 05:59 And what else? God advice because teach us that 06:04 there is transformation through Jesus 06:07 and so we would like to sing a favorite song 06:11 that the students chose and if you would 06:14 like to say the Ten Commandments with them 06:16 they would like to recite the Ten Commandments 06:19 they learned in the past couple of days. 06:36 Jesus died on the cross so you could live 06:42 with Him in heaven some day 06:45 I'll feel Thou is coming again very soon 06:49 That's why I'm a SDA. I'm a Seventh-Day Adventist 06:57 and I want the world to know it 07:01 My heart is full of Jesus serve 07:05 and I want the world to share with. 07:09 I may be from above, but there's a world of God 07:14 and Jesus shows me the way So I worship 07:19 and I serve big on Sabbath Day, 07:22 that's why I'm a SDA. I'm a 07:27 Seventh-Day Adventist and I want to world 07:32 to know it My heart is full of Jesus serve 07:38 and I want the world to share with. 07:42 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." 07:49 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, 07:55 or any likeness of any thing 07:58 that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth 08:02 beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." 08:05 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, 08:09 nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God 08:13 am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity 08:17 of the fathers upon the children unto the third 08:21 and fourth generation of them that hate me," 08:24 "And shewing mercy unto thousands of them 08:29 that love me and keep my commandments." 08:33 "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord 08:37 thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him 08:41 guiltless that taketh his name in vain." 08:45 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 08:49 Six days shalt thou labour, 08:52 and do all thy work: But the seventh day 08:56 is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: 09:00 In it thou shalt not do any work, 09:04 thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, 09:08 thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, 09:11 nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger 09:14 that is within thy gates: For in six days 09:18 the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, 09:22 and all that in them is, and rested the 09:26 seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed 09:30 the sabbath day, and hallowed it." 09:32 "Honor thy father and thy mother: 09:37 that thy days may be long upon the land 09:40 which the LORD thy God giveth thee" 09:42 Thou shalt not kill. We have a variety of 11:01 students here from the ages of 10 to 12 that 11:04 they had learned many things. 11:05 This year as a theme for ASI was living for Jesus 11:11 body, mind, and spirit and we have the 11:13 opportunity to have 14 different speakers 11:17 that are energetic, Godly men and women 11:20 that came to speak to them, to help them 11:21 to lift their lives up to a higher standard 11:24 and so the children had taken this to heart 11:27 and had made a desire of this as well. 11:29 And also one of the things that 11:32 we had opportunity to do was to do an health expo 11:37 for the young people and so we had four, 11:39 four physicians, five nurses, 11:43 one nurse practitioner, a teacher 11:45 and a variety of other people that came to help 11:48 and do the health expo and so they have learned 11:50 the eight natural laws in which they each of these 11:53 young people have been assigned to a different 11:56 group named after one of the eight natural laws. 11:59 And so they have made a desire to want to live 12:01 for Jesus everyday of their lives from here on 12:05 and we praise the Lord for that. Amen. 12:08 Well this year the junior mission project 12:11 was to knit hats for people in Mongolia. 12:14 So, each child diligently worked knitting the hats 12:18 and today I have a Ileana and Reed 12:22 and they wanted to bring a sample of the hats 12:24 that we knitted and show you and these hats 12:27 will be going to Mongolia through Gospel 12:29 Ministries International and they will go to 12:32 the children there who live in very 12:34 cold conditions and we are so happy 12:37 with the enthusiasm that the junior showed 12:40 for this project and we know this project 12:42 will bless the children in Mongolia, 12:44 but the children here at ASI were definitely 12:47 blessed from that also. Amen. 12:49 Yes, we're going to be reciting a verse of 12:52 Romans 12, 1 and 2 which was our theme. 12:54 Our theme text for the last couple of days 12:58 and they have memorize it to heart 12:59 and then also they will be presenting our 13:01 theme song as well. What a joy to live for Jesus 13:03 and they want to do that joyfully to live 13:05 for Jesus everyday, body, mind, and spirit. 13:19 I beseech you therefore, brethren, 13:22 by the mercies of God, that ye present 13:25 your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, 13:29 acceptable unto God, which is 13:32 your reasonable service. And be not conformed 13:36 to this world: but be ye transformed 13:39 by the renewing of your mind, 13:41 that ye may prove what is that good, 13:44 and acceptable, and perfect will of God. 13:47 Romans 12:1 and 2. Amen. 14:10 Praise the Lord who bless us, 14:14 Praise the Son of joy and peace, 14:18 Such a world of the love and beauty, 14:23 He is our King so let's sing and praise, 14:28 What a joy to live for Jesus 14:32 We're delight to say his prayers 14:37 Every praise is in his presence, 14:41 As we serve on all our days 14:47 Amen. Thank you very much. 15:54 What is it mean to live ever only all for 15:58 Jesus Christ? What is it look like 16:00 and how does our consecration to 16:05 Christ impact our service for others 16:07 that's what our family and your early teens 16:11 had been thinking about, talking about, 16:14 and praying about this weekend. 16:18 And God has been teaching us that 16:21 as our shirts say consecration to Him 16:24 means to the ever in his presence doing only 16:27 his will all the time. He has given us 16:31 a taste of the joy that comes from commitment 16:34 to him and he has granted us a thrill of 16:36 excitement about service being his hands to others. 16:59 We are His hands to touch the world around us. 17:09 We are His feet to go where He may lead. 17:18 And we are His love burning in the darkness. 17:29 We are His light shining in the night. 17:41 We are His eyes to see the needs in others. 17:52 We are His voice to tell of His return. 18:01 And we are His love burning in the darkness. 18:11 We are His light shining in the night. 18:25 Take my life and let it be Consecrated, 18:33 Lord, to Thee. Take my hands 18:38 and let them move At the impulse of Thy love. 18:48 Take my lips and let them be filled 18:55 with messages from Thee Take my voice 19:03 and I will sing, ever only for my king. 19:11 Jesus made my life a song, and 19:17 we will praise you all day long 19:21 I have my words given to Thee, 19:26 I begin in back to thee, 19:31 Take my life and let it be 19:41 Take myself and I will be 19:48 Ever, only, all for Thee Ever, only, all for Thee 21:03 Are we ever be in His presence to meet 21:07 only His love all the time our shirt 21:12 say it through our life say it. 21:19 We are training that will make us more able to be 21:23 sermon, a sermon issues no matter where we go. 22:06 I just learned a lot and I think that 22:08 this knowledge will really help me to help 22:10 people when they need help. 22:14 If there is no breath or there is no circulation, 22:17 we need several themes on this. 22:23 Just think about all that Christ has given you 22:28 and then ponder what you can give him 22:35 only you have your heart again and that's all he 22:40 is asking for your heart, your mind, your all. 22:51 Every last presence do we hold his will 22:55 or it's from tonight I am very sure we will miss it 22:59 and hide it in the presence of our king. 23:02 Just imagine the joy in his heart to look down 23:05 from heaven and see a whole classroom of Christ 23:09 turn to him and a whole classroom of 23:11 hearts choosing to be his. 24:08 Good evening ASI this is our youth division 24:12 this year and our theme is right faith, 24:16 right now. And we have really tried our best to 24:21 bring this about as an experience for the youth 24:24 to change their lives. We've defined faith 24:28 as the depending upon the word of God to do 24:31 what it says and the expecting of the 24:34 word of God to do what it says. 24:36 And we have tried an endeavor to show 24:38 the youth the foolishness of trusting 24:40 in their own hearts, in their own mind 24:43 and to fully rely upon our God. 24:45 We are going to at this time, 24:47 have our youth testify what 24:50 the program has done for them. 24:51 Let me tell you powerful things are happening 24:54 at ASI Youth Division. When I first heard 24:58 the logo I was kind of like its not boring 25:01 right faith right now what's this all about, 25:03 but as the means progress it became more and more 25:07 in-depth and decisions have been 25:10 made for Christ. When I really felt touched 25:13 it was last night, Thursday evening, 25:15 we had two powerful presenters Mark Howard 25:18 and Joshua Plohocky. So, they both gave this 25:25 really powerful messages and even more compelling 25:28 altar calls. I am not usually a big fan of 25:31 altar calls especially when they involve you 25:33 to sacrifice something, but I came forward 25:37 just like so many others who had something 25:40 to sacrifice. So many others who had 25:42 open hearts and who are willing to listen to 25:44 God's voice for me is a re-dying of self 25:49 I should say. Just completely in every bit 25:52 of this and I just encourage you all to 25:56 please pray for this meanings 25:57 powerful thinks are happening. Amen. 25:59 God's word has been proclaimed to us in a way 26:01 that many youth have never heard it before 26:03 and please pray for these decisions 26:05 and continued to pray if you have already, 26:07 the things might happen for God's word. 26:11 Alright, I can testify that the youth meetings 26:14 as well is a life changing for me 26:16 and its kind of interesting because 26:18 when I am right here in ASI I was like you know 26:21 what I don't want to go to youth meetings. 26:22 I want to go to adult meetings 26:23 and so I already made my mind I'm gonna go to the 26:26 adult meetings and hear all the seminars 26:27 that I wanna to hear and the speakers I wanna hear 26:29 and so Wednesday night found me in here. 26:31 And I heard this little voice saying Brittney 26:34 you need to go in the youth meetings, 26:36 let Lord know I want to go here 26:38 and so I remembered like okay Brittney 26:41 you been praying everyday, take my plans 26:44 and just do what you want me to do 26:46 and I remember that and so I found myself 26:49 in a youth meeting and it was like why I am here? 26:51 And anyway that night Josh gave a message 26:55 and he had an appeal. And at that appeal honestly 26:59 he was asking like how many of you have never 27:01 had an experience before we're you know 27:04 you fallen at the foot of the cross 27:07 and seen Jesus as your Savior because 27:10 you've seen yourself for what you are really are. 27:12 How many Guys have had that experience 27:13 at the foot of cross and I realized that 27:15 I hadn't had that experience. 27:17 But as a result of that appeal 27:20 I now had that experience and it's been 27:22 life changing and the whole time, 27:25 I mean right from my faith I know 27:26 why I was there. And I will tell you 27:28 the devil is gonna frightening it, 27:30 but if he is frightening someone 27:31 knows good right. So, I just wanna 27:32 praise the Lord for that. Amen. 27:35 Part of what we have been teaching them 27:37 is to just live by faith and we wanted to give 27:41 them an opportunity to put that into practice. 27:43 So, today we had Les McCoy from the 27:47 Florida Conference come in with some of his 27:49 cooperate leaders and they did a training 27:52 with our young people on how to sell 27:55 Christian literature and we're wanting to do 27:58 was to go out and to raise money to send 28:01 Bibles to Africa. So, this morning we did 28:04 some training and then this afternoon 28:06 we went out there braved at hot Florida sun, 28:08 we were sweating, we were getting bottles of water 28:12 and other things being given to us at the doors 28:15 but God was blessing and I have a peer with me 28:18 some of the young people that went out 28:19 this afternoon and I'm gonna have Joel 28:22 and Verlyn share an experience that they had 28:24 and then Jesse is gonna share one. 28:27 Well, this morning when I woke up 28:29 I was pretty shocked about going on outreach. 28:32 I always love getting out and meeting new people, 28:35 but when I walked outside I was like 28:38 oh man this is really hot. I really don't want 28:41 to do it and I came into the youth meeting 28:44 and I sat down and I saw Verlyn there 28:46 and I said you know Verlyn I really don't 28:48 think I'm gonna go on outreach today 28:50 and she said, oh come on you can do it 28:53 and I'm like no I really don't think I want to. 28:55 And then I was like you know 28:57 what I could stay back I can go swimming, 29:00 I can play volleyball and do all those fun things 29:05 but getting out there in touching lives could be 29:08 so much more productive and I've come to ASI 29:10 and I pay all this money why not make the most 29:14 of it right and minister to those who I can. 29:16 So, Verlyn and I went out and did outreach 29:20 and we had one very powerful experience. 29:23 As we walked up to this one door I knocked on it 29:26 or I actually ring the door bell 29:28 and nobody came at first and so I knocked again 29:31 and a guy came at the door and I started 29:35 with my canvas and he just said, 29:38 well I don't know ten words through, 29:41 I am not interested. He said I am busy right now 29:44 and I said alright that's fine and he said 29:46 I am working on a project and he kind a 29:48 open the door more and Verlyn and I see inside 29:50 and he said so I got to go and I said 29:54 well can I just leave you this happiness digest 29:56 and I said just for a small donation bigger 30:00 or small it doesn't matter just whatever 30:02 you can give would be really appreciated 30:04 and he said you know I'll see 30:06 what I can do and so he left and yeah. 30:10 So, I was standing there and as soon as he left 30:15 I felt so impressed and I am like I turn to Joel 30:18 and like Joel if he comes back with 30:20 more than 7 dollars we need to give him 30:22 one of the mega books and so we just 30:27 kind of waited there and he came back 30:29 little bit later and he had like five dollars 30:33 crumpled up and he handed it to the Joel. 30:36 He is like here's 10 dollars for you 30:38 and I am like how much did you say? 30:41 And he is like here is 10 dollars for you 30:43 and so Joel opened it up and you know 30:45 there was more money inside of that 30:47 and it was 10 dollars which is the exact amount 30:51 of one mega book and so we had already given him 30:55 the happiness digest and so we took the mega book 31:00 and they were three of them and so we gave him 31:02 a choice between two of them and we said you know 31:05 which one would you like and he started flipping 31:07 to them and he looked at the one on health 31:10 and daily living and he said you know 31:11 I'll take this one and he is like you know 31:13 my wife has been really, really sick lately 31:15 and you know I think it might have to do 31:19 something with how to deal with you know 31:23 lifestyle. I know that this should be really 31:28 interested in this book and that she can use it 31:31 and I am like well yeah Praise the Lord 31:32 and he is like you know. She can use the lifestyle 31:37 one and I can use the happiness digest 31:39 and I just thought it was so amazing that 31:40 we are able to live two books there 31:42 each one of them would be able to touch 31:46 these people in a way that may be 31:49 we could not touch them otherwise 31:50 and so I just praise the Lord so much for that 31:54 opportunity that we got to leave those books 31:56 with that man and his wife. 31:59 And if you guys would just pray for them 32:00 and you know just pray that those books 32:04 will touch them I know that we raised 32:06 a lot of money today and that's gonna go to help 32:08 the people in Africa but you know 32:10 we also want to minister to our community 32:12 and when we leave those books out there 32:15 they may not touch them for a longtime 32:18 but when they do pick them up it will change 32:20 their life and so I just ask you guys to pray 32:22 for them and hopefully that the Holy Spirit 32:26 will water the plants that we sown, 32:30 the seeds that we sown and help them 32:32 to become Christians because of it. Amen. 32:36 Oh, real quickly I just wanna share a testimony. 32:39 We were about done and we knock on this door 32:43 and a lady came and she is a really nice 32:46 Brazilian lady, she is really interested 32:48 into the books that we had and she ended up 32:50 buying them and before we left we offered a prayer 32:54 with her and she is like sure, 32:55 I would love that so she invited us into her house 32:58 and we had a really wonderful prayer for her 33:01 and she really seemed blessed by it 33:03 and before we left we decided to offer her a 33:05 Bible study invitation to receive Bible study 33:09 guides in the mail and Ryan he said Anne 33:12 if you fill it out now we can go ahead 33:14 and take it for and you can say it on the stance. 33:17 And so she is like alright I'll do that, 33:19 so she filled it out and we have her Bible study 33:22 and we have a lady that is going to personally 33:25 follow up on that and at the end of the day 33:27 our first level study I believe for the whole 33:30 entire outreach, which is a big blessing. Amen. 33:33 We only had about 20 or so young people 33:37 that were able to go out because 33:38 others had other commitments but 33:40 God blessed just that and we raised 120 dollars, 33:45 when we came back and we were in a publications 33:48 to match it, so 240 dollars is going to 33:51 Africa in the form of Bibles. 33:53 So, you just want to thank you so much 33:54 for your young people for the privilege of being 33:56 able to work with them this week. Amen. 34:06 Well Good evening ASI family, good evening. 34:09 Happy Sabbath, happy Sabbath. 34:11 What do you think of these young people 34:12 in the blue? Amen. Amen. My friends it has been 34:17 a privilege for Lay Institute for evangelism 34:20 to be able to host the ASI Youth for 34:24 Jesus program in 2010. We were located 34:27 on the campus of the Lady Lake 34:29 Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Guess what? 34:31 Lady Lake, Florida. And we're there 34:35 because of your generous donations to the offering 34:38 on Sabbath morning so tomorrow morning 34:40 don't forget the ASI Youth for Jesus program 34:44 because this is what happens 34:46 and you are gonna hear all about it 34:47 when your young people come to ASI Youth 34:51 for Jesus. So, we at life just want to thank you 34:55 for trusting your young people with us. 34:57 Have you had a good time? Yes, Amen. 34:59 Now, check this out, how many of you were able 35:01 to participate in a Bible study this year 35:05 at ASI Youth for Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah! 35:09 Isn't that amazing that's our goal 35:12 isn't it taking our young people into the field 35:14 to get them energized and excited about evangelism 35:19 and winning souls to the kingdom of God. 35:21 Right now what we are going to do is 35:23 we gonna show you just some pictures on 35:24 your screen there of some of the evangelistic 35:27 meeting sites and some of the activities that 35:30 we did while we were here at Youth for Jesus. 35:32 There is Nick who is preaching there at the 35:34 Leesburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church. 35:36 There is the whole crew at Leesburg who brought 35:38 music to energize that church. 35:41 Here we are in our classroom 35:42 at Lay Institute for Evangelism and here 35:46 we are preparing for a water fight. 35:48 We had to have a little bit of downtime here 35:51 again we are in our classroom 35:52 Pastor Philip Sizemore is teaching and there I am 35:55 doing morning worship. We had incredible 35:57 morning worships. Every morning my daughter is up 36:00 there singing just like she will be here 36:02 with everybody else. We had an incredible time 36:06 at ASI Youth for Jesus and we could not have 36:08 done that without you. You have been a blessing 36:12 to us and there Mike Merge gonna up here 36:15 in just a moment after our song 36:16 and he is going to share with you 36:17 what the blessing was to the community that 36:21 we were in. there we are on the river you see, 36:23 we had a couple of days where we just had 36:25 a lot of fun. What we are going to do now is 36:30 we are going to sing for you a song that was 36:32 written composed the music and everything by 36:36 Mr. Mark Bond he is father of two of our 36:39 ASI Youth for Jesus students and the song 36:43 was its called "A Temple Made of Time" 36:47 and it is about the Sabbath. 36:48 So, happy Sabbath to you and he wrote 36:51 this from a sermon; he was inspired to write 36:54 this by a sermon that Elder Mark Finley 36:57 preached about how God brings the Sabbath to us. 36:59 God didn't just make a place Holy, 37:02 he made time Holy. Amen. So, that time 37:05 can come to us every week. So, please enjoy 37:08 as the ASI Youth for Jesus participants sing for us. 37:34 God took six days and created earth 37:40 and moon the star and the sun 37:44 On the seventh day He rested from the work 37:50 that he had done. Then He blessed it made it 37:58 holy as a gift for every man 38:03 To remind us where we came from 38:08 and just how his world began 38:13 Holy day purified set apart sanctified 38:22 Enter in to joy divine in a temple made of time 38:34 See Him worship on the Sabbath 38:39 as His weekly costume was, feel the furry 38:46 of the rabbis for He would not heed 38:51 their laws. So they killed Him on a hillside 38:58 as the sun began to fade but He even kept 39:06 the Sabbath as they laid Him in the grave 39:13 Holy day purified set apart sanctified 39:22 Enter in to joy divine in a temple made of time 39:42 Oft forsaken and forgotten desecrated 39:49 and profaned But the sacred fourth commandment 39:56 is still valid and unchanged 40:01 Hear the Father gently calling 40:05 if you love Me heed each one not for merit 40:12 or salvation but because you love My Son. 40:19 Holy day purified set apart sanctified 40:28 Enter in to joy divine in a temple made of time 40:37 Holy day purified set apart sanctified 40:46 Enter in to joy divine in a temple made of time 40:56 You will find joy divine in this 41:02 temple made of time. Amen. 41:16 It's my privilege this evening to introduce 41:18 you to Mike Merd. Mike is our Youth for Jesus Bible 41:22 worker and coordinator and he is going to tell 41:24 you all about what happened 41:25 at Youth for Jesus this summer. 41:28 Well, good evening and happy Sabbath. 41:30 I just like to say that it's been an 41:33 absolute pleasure to work with this group. 41:36 I believe that we have fulfilled our commission 41:38 in the Orlando area to preach the 41:41 word of the God to everyone that 41:43 we encountered during this period of time 41:45 so I just want to share with you some of the 41:46 statistics that we were able to accomplish 41:49 by the grace of God and the power of the 41:51 Holy Spirit in these areas thanks to 41:53 your willing contribution. We began 41:56 our work in January in the Leesburg area 41:58 with our site coordinator arriving J. C. Deon, 42:01 we then followed that in February through May 42:03 with the arrival of three more of our site 42:05 coordinators for the Ocala Church, 42:07 the Plymouth Sorrento Church, 42:08 and the Umatilla Church. We had Donna McDonald 42:12 as one of our site coordinators; 42:13 James Wilson and Morris Grahm. In May 13th, 42:18 we had the next crew that arrived 42:19 and began working with the Bethel Church. 42:21 As soon as we arrived on site we began 42:24 our training of the church members 42:26 one of the things that we did was we instructed 42:28 them on the life on the edge series, 42:29 which is the series developed by life 42:31 to train lay members on how to give 42:33 effective Bible studies. We also trained 42:36 the churches on the cycle of evangelism 42:38 which is just what it says it's a 42:40 six month cycle of evangelism for the church 42:42 to keep the church on a rotating basis of 42:45 evangelism to keep it active. 42:47 So, the church members came out 42:48 it was a very good, we had a lot of 42:51 participation as far as the church members go 42:54 and we have several church members now 42:56 that are on their own going out door to door, 42:58 giving Bible studies, working in their 43:00 communities as a result of the training that 43:02 they receive. So, praise the Lord for that. 43:04 The training went very well. 43:07 We followed that up with our bridge events, 43:09 we did a stop smoking program at each one 43:11 of the locations now we follow that up 43:13 with a healthy cooking school just to bring 43:17 interest in from the community to come to the 43:19 local church, to learn these things 43:20 and then we had a health expo at each one of the 43:23 locations as well following the eight laws 43:28 of health doing the new start program. 43:30 At our peak, this being the combination 43:33 of our events we did 179 in home Bible studies 43:38 that's 179 homes not people, 43:41 179 in home Bible studies. 43:43 We had 61 drop off studies, 43:46 where those studies were dropped off 43:47 and we went back followed up with those individuals 43:50 and we had a 163 individuals to signed up 43:53 for corresponded studies that were submitted 43:56 to either amazing facts or discovery. 43:57 So, the Lord is truly blessed. 43:59 Our evangelistic campaigns began on 44:02 July 9th at all five sites including the 44:04 evangelistic campaign preached by the Naps Crew 44:06 and as a result of that we have 44:09 65 decisions for baptism. Amen. 44:12 You know, I just. Praise the Lord, 44:15 Praise the Lord. So, you know, we've had eight 44:20 of our youth for Jesus students made decisions 44:23 for Baptism as well. And you know 44:25 we had three individuals they joined the church 44:28 by profession of faith. So, you know 44:31 I hope that this will inspire someone watching, 44:33 somebody sitting in this crowd to really get 44:35 involved in evangelism. You know, 44:37 the Lord needs you he wants to work through us 44:39 and he wants to work with us. 44:40 So, you know, giving your time 44:42 He will bless you. Amen. Amen. 44:45 For the past five years, the National Association 44:49 for the Prevention of Starvation 44:51 has been holding evangelistic meetings 44:53 alone with ASI's Youth for Jesus. 44:55 So, we like to invite the Naps Crew up here 44:58 to share with you their experience 45:00 at ASI youth for Jesus. Amen. 45:03 Thank you Scott. Asvika, she will introduce 45:06 who Naps is and exactly what are we doing here. 45:09 Good evening everyone NAPS stands for the 45:13 National Association for the 45:15 Prevention of Starvation as previously mentioned. 45:18 We are student missionaries from 45:20 Oakwood University that travel 45:22 not only the country, but the world. 45:24 And the three of us standing up here, 45:25 we are a part of a group that took a year off 45:28 of school and dedicated it solely 45:30 to do in the work of God. And we were able to 45:33 travel to the United States. We even got to go 45:35 to Haiti for six weeks after the earthquake 45:38 and ended our mission here in Orlando, amen. 45:41 Yes at the end of our mission, 45:43 we usually work with ASI and Chris here 45:45 will tell us what we did with ASI in Orlando? 45:48 Yes, yes we did many different I guess 45:51 ministries while we were here. 45:53 First half, we had a summer day camp 45:55 it was four weeks in duration and everyday 45:57 we had about 60 kids and it was about 46:00 five hours long. It was like an extreme 46:01 VBS program. And we are also training 46:03 the church to do small groups, amen. 46:06 Yes and during the day we had day camp 46:08 and we had training with the small group 46:10 and in the evening we have our meetings 46:12 and Bible studies and Chris will give us 46:14 stanza on one of the Bible studies. 46:15 Yes, yes we had many Bible studies 46:20 and we also had evangelistic meetings 46:22 and at the evangelistic meetings 46:23 we had about 40 participants come out 46:26 every night and half of those people 20 people 46:29 were visitors, non-church members coming out. 46:31 And of the 20, 18 decided to be baptize 46:34 and 10 were baptized praise the Lord, Amen. 46:40 Yes we praise the Lord for that and Asvika 46:42 she had a testimony about a young man 46:44 that she met and you see how 46:45 God does not work on our time. 46:47 Yes in doing Bible studies God allowed Chris 46:50 and I to meet a young man name Calega 46:53 and he is about our age, he is I think 21. 46:56 And the day we met Calega it seem like 46:58 everything was going wrong but now 47:00 I understand because within a week of 47:03 Bible studies that seven days Calega 47:06 accepted every truth we gave him. 47:08 The signs of the time, the second coming, 47:10 state of the dead, he accepted the Sabbath 47:14 and even baptism within one week 47:16 and it proves that there are ripe fruit out there 47:18 that we just need to go and pick. 47:20 And it was such a wonderful blessing 47:22 to meet that young man. Amen, Amen and Calega 47:26 he could have make it to the baptism ceremony, 47:28 but he sent his tied offing ahead because 47:32 he knew that he was a member of the church, 47:33 so you praise the Lord for that as well. 47:35 And with the kids, the kids let us 47:39 into the homes of the parents 47:40 and Chris will tell us more about that. 47:42 Yes it was truly an awesome work 47:44 with the children. At our day camp, 47:46 we had three special children the names were 47:48 J.J, Fabian and Nelson. And at the day camp 47:51 and still in their minds the importance of prayer 47:54 how much God truly loves them 47:55 and we taught them scripture songs 47:56 as well as host of other things. 47:58 And every evening the mom will come 48:00 and pick him up and she would always tell me 48:02 how they are singing these songs, 48:04 how they learn that when you die you stay 48:06 in the ground and wait for Jesus to comeback 48:08 and they even told us like behavior changes 48:10 how they open the door for them, 48:12 how they tried to helping with the dishes 48:14 and just how they are just becoming 48:15 better and better. And they just said 48:17 praise the God for the camp you guys came 48:18 at the right time. And at the end of the camp here 48:21 this we were able to do Bible studies 48:23 with the parents and they were able to accept 48:26 everything they loved it. They know Jesus 48:29 coming back now they accepted the Sabbath, 48:31 they accepted the state of the dead, 48:32 and they said you came right on time because 48:34 we were looking for a church. 48:35 And now we wanna join your church because 48:37 we know is the true one. And now they are, 48:39 they found the truth and they are excited 48:41 and all because of the children 48:42 taking into the home, amen. 48:45 And so we praise the Lord for ASI who allowed us 48:48 to be here and we thank you so much 48:50 and at the end of our meetings the elder 48:52 came up to us and said you know what, 48:54 you guys have done tremendous job. 48:56 He said now our church was sleeping, 48:58 he said now we believe as a church that 49:02 we can do this work, amen. And as a same thing 49:04 that we are going to each and everyone 49:06 needs to go out and wake up your church. 49:08 And so we thank you ASI, thank you 49:10 live for having us, praise the Lord, 49:11 and we really appreciate you, amen. 49:18 Thanks, God is truly, truly working. 49:21 It's such a privilege to be here with you tonight. 49:24 My name is Lucille Mascara and this is 49:27 my first year attending Youth for Jesus 49:30 and it truly has been a life changing experience. 49:32 God is so good, I came thinking that 49:37 I was not going to cross the concept of 49:42 what it was. I didn't even understand why 49:44 I was really coming, but God spoke through, 49:48 through certain people and he let me experience 49:51 so many powerful things, there are so many 49:53 testimonies I could give. But, we had just 49:57 learn how to give a Bible study and that day 50:00 we wrote everything in our Bibles 50:02 and I was so impressed how much truth 50:07 there is in God's word its amazing. 50:09 And I was just excited because I was like 50:12 this is what I'm gonna tell people, 50:13 this is what God's wants them to know, 50:15 so I took my Bible we close at the next day, 50:19 we are going on outreach and for some reason 50:22 or another our members we Jonathon decided to 50:27 switch groups with Daniel which is our 50:31 Bible study group. And I was like where do I go, 50:34 you know and so I ended up being in a group 50:37 that wasn't suppose to be God is good, 50:39 he knows what he is doing and I ended up going 50:42 with a group that was giving a Bible study 50:44 and I didn't know that we were 50:45 giving a Bible study. So, when we get to the park 50:48 where we are gonna give the study. 50:49 Mind you this is the day after we have learned 50:52 how to give our first study which was based 50:55 on the word of God. So, I was new 50:59 and I never given a Bible study before. 51:01 We got to the park, I look to the chair 51:04 to get my sword its not there, 51:07 oh my Jesus what I'm gonna do? 51:10 So, I got on to the garden and I'm like Tracy 51:13 do you have your Bible, do you have the study 51:15 and our Bible worker told us that this lady 51:17 or this girl she had so many questions, 51:20 and I was just nervous, I was like all my truth 51:23 is based on the word of God, 51:25 how we are gonna answer these questions. 51:27 And I was like God just perform a miracle 51:29 so we step in and God stepped in. 51:34 Her first question she asked was how can I trust 51:39 that the Bible is true? And that was a 51:42 transitional question to enter into the 51:45 study of the word of God. And I was like 51:47 Tracy get your Bible we are gonna give the study 51:50 because we were thinking that she was gonna have 51:53 so many questions that we were just gonna have 51:55 to be answering random questions 51:56 but it ended up being right after that 51:59 first question, the next question she asked was 52:01 how do I know that people that wrote this Bible 52:04 didn't just write it just because you know 52:06 how do I know that it was inspired by God. 52:08 That was next transitional question 52:10 in that study and I was like go, go, go 52:12 and from then on the questions just 52:14 kept rolling. I was like praise God, 52:16 I don't even know what I'm saying and then, 52:17 and then one question, she was like 52:20 what is doctrine? And I look at my Bible worker 52:23 and I was trying to explain 52:24 and then all the sudden I stopped, 52:26 I was like I know what doctrine is, 52:27 why did I stop and then I look at him 52:30 with the help face please help me, 52:32 and then he didn't and I was like Jesus, 52:34 I claimed Jesus name and Jesus just worked 52:36 in just flowed and after that Tracy 52:39 she can find a Bible verse and a soft wind 52:42 came and it blew the Bible and it ended up 52:44 being at that same verse it was incredible 52:46 God is so good. And I just praise him so much 52:50 because he showed me that if we let ourselves 52:54 be used, even thought we're unprepared, 52:56 we don't know what we were doing, 52:57 we think we can be self sufficient, 53:01 we can all our trust needs to be in God 53:06 and if you trust in him he will use you 53:09 in many great ways, amen. 53:16 Our trust indeed does need to be in God 53:18 and I'm just gonna hope that he works through me 53:21 as I talk. So, my name is Daniel Fabergian 53:25 and I'm from California. And I just came to this 53:28 program a little down about Adventism as much 53:32 church would be called what do you say 53:35 I don't know where to see in something. 53:38 And so I felt like I really get to see 53:41 this spirit of God working that much 53:43 and it was kind of discouraging 53:45 and I also probably been taking a 53:48 Christian philosophy class now 53:49 in nominational, where I had been 53:51 getting a lot of you know spirit the way 53:53 they prayed was just amazing to me 53:55 and so I was thinking you know why should I be 53:56 non-Adventist you know, do I really need to keep 53:58 the Sabbath but so I mean I came to this 54:01 and you know I understand this through 54:04 the evangelistic series so that changed 54:06 my mindset on all these different truths 54:08 and then also got to see all these kids 54:12 and they are good example of how you know 54:17 God's spirit is here so yeah 54:21 that was just my thought, amen. 54:29 Good evening, God is good as he not? 54:33 All the time. Well I'm Chelsea Bond 54:36 and I'm from Texas. And this is my second year 54:39 with the Youth for Jesus Program. 54:41 And last year was extremely inspiring, 54:46 I was working with all these youth 54:48 that are extremely on fire and it completely 54:52 blew me away I mean I had grown up in a 54:54 really small church which I loved, 54:56 but you know it was amazing to see a 54:59 whole army of young people like has been 55:03 predicted will come up in and working together 55:05 and I was a part of it, and I just was brought 55:09 closer to God, I was given a new perspective 55:13 on who God is, but at the end of that 55:16 I was so excited about the spiritual high 55:18 that I didn't quite focus on getting tools 55:24 to take home with me that I could use to keep 55:28 this experience and so I started to sit back 55:33 in the mindset, well I don't think 55:34 I wanna go back, I had a great time 55:36 but you know God can let some other youth go. 55:40 But, then all of a sudden I just felt like 55:42 I needed to send an application 55:44 and I started to get really worried because 55:45 my sister had gotten accepted and I hadn't yet 55:48 and I was really worried and I prayed about it 55:50 a lot and through many events God allowed me 55:54 to get accepted, amen. And so I just took that 55:58 as a sign the God wanted me there, 55:59 so I got there this year and I was the leadership 56:03 changed and so I was you know worried about 56:06 what it would be like how different it would be, 56:08 if it would touch me in the same way. 56:10 And I'm glad to say that it did it, 56:13 it touched me in a new way and God was 56:17 so good to me he showed me through 56:22 these Bible studies that where given through 56:24 the live program they caught my attention 56:27 and not only was I learning how to give 56:29 these Bible studies these things were hitting home 56:31 with me things that I've heard all my life were 56:33 presented in a new way that just made sense 56:37 and completely hit home, amen. 56:39 And God just took hold of me they were many times 56:42 when I was so excited after the class time, 56:45 where we learned to get Bible studies 56:46 that I would call my mom crying 56:47 and she was like oh my goodness are you okay? 56:51 I said oh you don't know I'm amazing. 56:54 God is good, amen. And so if any of you are 56:59 considering any youth are considering 57:01 coming to this program God is definitely working 57:04 through this program and he has worked through me 57:06 and in me and now I have the tools to go home 57:10 and keep the spirit alive inside of me, amen. 57:18 Hello my name is Herisa and I'm from 57:21 Tampa, Florida and I wasn't really excite 57:23 about coming to Youth for Jesus this year, 57:25 but I came anyways and I was hoping that 57:28 I would learn a lot, well my experience 57:30 was on the last year of outreach, 57:32 we went in our car with our Bible worker Jessie 57:35 and he told us that we had no Bible studies 57:39 today, which meant that we have to go on 57:42 outreach door to door, well I was really excite 57:45 about that because that meant that 57:47 we would be going in the heat of the day, 57:49 in the middle of the summer in Florida 57:52 knocking on doors and you know it's really hot. 57:55 So, right before we went, we went out we prayed, 58:00 I was like Lord Jesus you know show us 58:03 what you have to see us today. 58:04 Well, we knocked on the first door 58:06 and this lady came out and she looked 58:09 really tired and I was like oh no now 58:12 she is not really gonna do a Bible study 58:13 so we talk to her, and we give here the survey, 58:15 and at the end of the survey it asked 58:17 would you be willing to have a Bible study. 58:21 And she looked at me and she is like yes, yes, 58:24 I would I've been praying for this, amen. 58:27 And after that I got so excited because 58:29 I was like yes you know that was our first door 58:31 and she wanted a Bible study. 58:32 Well at the end of the day it turned out that 58:34 we had 13 Bible studies and I know that 58:37 it wasn't through me that we have this may because 58:40 I wouldn't been able to do this 58:41 without Christ, amen. ASI family 58:47 we just want to thank you for the investment 58:51 that you are making in your young people, amen. 58:54 Hearts have been touched and lives have been 58:57 changed for eternity. And if it weren't through 59:01 your generous donations this wouldn't 59:04 have happened for these young people 59:05 nor would it have happened for those 59:07 65 people that made that decision to bury 59:11 their whole life in the watery grave of baptism. 59:14 God bless you all have a great Sabbath 59:16 and again thank you ASI family. 59:18 Can you say praise the Lord? Praise the Lord. 59:21 this wouldn't 59:22 have happened for these young people 59:23 nor would it have happened for those 59:24 65 people that made that decision to bury |
