00:31 Listen to the word of the Lord from Exodus Chapter 17.
00:35 "Now Amalek came and fought with Israel. 00:37 And Moses said to Joshua, 00:39 'Choose us some men and go out, 00:40 fight with Amalek. 00:42 Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill 00:44 with the rod of God in my hand. 00:46 So Joshua did as Moses said to him 00:48 and fought with Amalek. 00:49 And Moses, Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 00:52 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand 00:55 that Israel prevailed, 00:56 and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 00:59 But Moses' hands became heavy, 01:01 so they took a stone and put it under him, 01:03 and he sat on it. 01:05 And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, 01:07 one on one side, and the other on the other side, 01:09 and his hands were steady 01:11 until the going down of the sun. 01:13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people 01:15 with the edge of the sword. 01:16 Then the Lord said to Moses, 01:18 'Write this for a memorial in the book 01:20 and recount it in the hearing of Joshua.'" 01:23 Notice the significance of each person. 01:26 Moses on the mountaintop praying, 01:28 Joshua in the valley fighting. 01:30 It took both to defeat Amalek. 01:33 The supernatural and the natural, 01:35 but don't forget the two supporting actors, 01:38 Aaron and Hur 01:39 who held up Moses' arms when he got tired. 01:42 They remind me of the power 01:44 of lifting up each other in prayer, 01:46 knowing that someone else is helping me pray, 01:48 or in fact praying for me when I'm too tired 01:51 or overwhelmed to pray. 01:53 It reminds me of Jesus' words in Matthew 18:20, 01:56 "For where two or three 01:58 are gathered together in My name." 02:00 We cannot fight the battle in our own power, 02:02 no matter how strong or talented 02:04 we may think we are. 02:06 That's why I urge you to partner 02:08 with a couple of like-minded prayer warriors, 02:10 believers who will share 02:12 your sense of urgency and concern. 02:14 And won't stop praying until the answer comes. 02:17 Intersession for others 02:19 can bring victory to our own lives. 02:22 Job 42:10 says, 02:24 "And the Lord turned the captivity of Job. 02:27 He literally restored Job's losses 02:30 when Job prayed for his friends." 02:37 Are you weary? 02:39 Are you heavy hearted? 02:42 Tell it to Jesus 02:45 Tell it to Jesus 02:48 Are you grieving over joys departed? 02:53 Tell it to Jesus alone 02:58 Tell it to Jesus 03:01 Tell it to Jesus 03:04 He is a Friend that's well known 03:10 You've no other such a friend or brother 03:15 Tell it to Jesus alone 03:23 And speaking of friends 03:24 that we can share our prayers with. 03:27 It's a delight for me to introduce to you 03:29 Janelle Owen. 03:32 She is into graphic department, Janelle... 03:34 No, in the publishing department. 03:35 In the publishing department. Amen. 03:51 It's a pleasure to be here. 03:52 Thank you. 03:54 Why don't you start us off with a prayer of thanksgiving? 03:55 Sure, I'll do that. 03:58 Loving Father, 04:00 thank You that You are even open 04:01 to hearing my prayer. 04:03 God, You are the creator of the universe. 04:06 You owe me nothing, not even my next breath, 04:10 yet You hear me and are genuinely concerned 04:12 about me and my concerns. 04:15 I thank You for desiring me and drawing me to You 04:18 through Your kindness and compassion. 04:20 What a precious friend You are. 04:23 Thank you Lord. 04:26 Father, I just wanna pause for a moment 04:29 to ask that You would forgive me 04:31 for times that I've been ungrateful 04:37 and my selfish unthankfulness, 04:40 for all the times that I have received 04:43 such great blessing and favor from You, God. 04:47 And yet I have failed to give you things. 04:50 For the remarkable protection where my life was spared 04:55 for the wonderful turn of events 04:56 that saved me from ruin, 04:59 the times that You granted Your goodness to all of us 05:04 while we were still in sin. 05:09 And for the uncountable mercies that we've received 05:12 since You so mercifully saved us. 05:16 Lord, open our eyes 05:18 to comprehend Your goodness, oh, God. 05:22 Help us remember 05:23 that every good and perfect gift 05:26 comes from You. 05:27 Yes. 05:30 Lord, we ask for Your peace. 05:33 We ask for Your protection. 05:35 We trust that You are fighting in ways 05:37 that we can't always see. 05:40 And we know that we never fight alone, 05:43 for You are always at work on behalf of Your children. 05:47 Shielding, protecting, strengthening, 05:50 and covering us 05:52 from the attacks that we face 05:54 even when we're unaware. 05:59 Holy Father, we ask that Your Spirit would lead us, 06:05 that Your peace would guard our hearts 06:07 and our minds in You, dear God. 06:11 Lord, we ask for Your grace to cover us 06:15 and for Your blessing to surround us. 06:18 We love You, Lord, we truly do. 06:22 And we need You. 06:26 Lord, we stand firm 06:27 in Your great and powerful name. 06:30 And we ask, Lord, that You would help us 06:32 to keep our eyes on You in Jesus' name. 06:40 Passionate Father, 06:42 I ask You to give us the passion that we need 06:45 to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to You. 06:49 That You would spark a passion within us 06:52 to set us on fire, 06:54 to pursue spiritual growth. 06:57 Stir us to make our relationship with You 07:00 our top priority in life, 07:02 to base all of our decisions on it, Lord. 07:06 Lord, I want to know You more, to fall in love with You more, 07:12 to keep growing closer to You, 07:14 to become more like Jesus. 07:19 Yes, Lord. 07:24 There's a viewer that has asked us to pray 07:26 that God would grant wisdom 07:31 to help follow the right path 07:32 and, Lord, that's my prayer for sure. 07:35 So I joined with this one 07:36 who is in special need of wisdom. 07:39 Holy Spirit, I pray that 07:40 you would renew our minds regularly. 07:44 So we can think about everything 07:47 from your perspective, 07:49 empowering us to avoid the wrong paths 07:53 and focus on the right paths 07:56 that lead us closer to You, Jesus. 08:00 Lord, teach us all 08:01 how to test the spirits, to discern 08:05 which ones are from You and which aren't, 08:08 and to guard holy God, 08:10 guard against fall, the prey, 08:14 that we would fall prey to evil deception. 08:19 Lord, I pray that You will guard against that 08:23 in Jesus' name. 08:25 Amen. 08:28 God, I pray for those desiring friends 08:31 to accompany them in the Christian journey. 08:33 We all need friends. 08:35 Please open doors to connect them 08:37 with some good friends 08:39 who are also pursuing spiritual growth, 08:42 so they can encourage and support each other. 08:47 Yes, Lord, thank You for friends. 08:53 And, Creator God, 08:56 You are well aware that this earth is in turmoil 09:01 with weather catastrophes 09:03 and the after-effects. 09:08 Lord, we have viewers 09:09 who are overwhelmed 09:15 with destroyed homes and utility outages 09:19 and even the loss of family members. 09:24 Lord, I pray that You would meet their needs 09:26 and that, Lord, You would move mightily 09:28 on their behalf, 09:30 bringing restoration. 09:34 Lord, help us all to be on the lookout 09:37 for an opportunity to show ourselves neighborly 09:42 in these situations that we might love 09:46 and show your love in Jesus' name. 09:53 Lord, we lift up those needing deliverance 09:55 from addiction to drugs and alcohol 09:58 and in all addictions, Lord, 10:01 there's so many addictions in this world. 10:03 We're all searching for something 10:04 and we get caught up in these addictions. 10:07 Lord, I ask that You would please deliver them 10:10 and that You would minister peace, love 10:12 and support to their family members 10:14 who are grieving 10:15 over the destruction of addiction. 10:18 God, You are our hope and only You can restore. 10:23 We trust You to have Your way. 10:28 Thank you, Lord. 10:32 Father, God, we acknowledge that 10:35 wealth and the ability to work 10:40 comes from You. 10:44 Father, I pray for our viewer's job situation. 10:51 He has a boss 10:52 who is trying to hurt another man's career 10:57 in his office. 10:58 So he has reached out for his friend 11:03 and I pray that you will allow 11:08 a chance for advancement in this man's life and his job. 11:13 And, Father, that You will take away the depression 11:15 that the man is facing 11:18 because of this job situation. 11:24 Lord, may we all speak boldly 11:27 about You and for You in our workplaces, Lord. 11:31 Thank You, Lord, that we have the privilege to work 11:35 in a Christian atmosphere. 11:39 In Jesus' name. 11:46 Lord, I wanna thank You for good health. 11:49 And even if we're not in great health, 11:52 thank You for what we have. 11:53 Amen. 11:55 Thank You for every need being supplied. 11:58 Amen? Amen. 11:59 The scripture says, 12:01 "Again, I say to you that 12:02 if two of you agree on earth 12:04 concerning anything that they ask, 12:07 it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." 12:11 That's from Matthew 18:20. 12:16 So again, thank you, Janelle, for being my friend 12:18 and for joining me in prayer. 12:20 What an awesome privilege we have, right? 12:21 Amen. That's right. 12:22 It is a privilege.
