00:31 When I think about rest, I don't think about sleep.
00:35 Because most of the time personally, 00:37 I can go to sleep to escape my troubles, 00:39 but I can rest when I'm wide awake 00:42 because of Jesus' promise in Matthew 11:28-30. 00:47 He says, 00:48 "Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, 00:51 and I will give you rest. 00:53 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, 00:55 for I am gentle and lowly in heart, 00:58 and you will find rest for your souls. 01:00 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." 01:04 This tells me that 01:05 I don't have to struggle all alone 01:07 with the difficulties of this world. 01:09 I can be like an innocent child 01:11 trusting that all my needs are being provided 01:13 by my loving heavenly Father. 01:16 He takes me up on His lap 01:17 and gives me a big hug and a smile. 01:19 He tells me everything's going to be all right, 01:22 and I can rest in Him. 01:23 And I can go to sleep at night 01:25 knowing that He is awake and He's watching over me. 01:30 The problems that come to me are acknowledged, 01:33 but I don't have to become overwhelmed by them. 01:35 My heavenly Father is in control. 01:38 I praise God 01:39 because He's working out His perfect plan for my life. 01:43 I love to remember the word rest 01:45 in this acronym, 01:47 releasing everything, savior trusting. 02:04 Come, every soul By sin oppressed 02:11 There's mercy with the Lord 02:16 And He will surely Give you rest 02:23 By trusting in His Word 02:30 Only trust Him, only trust Him 02:36 Only trust Him now 02:42 He will save you He will save you 02:49 He will save you now 02:59 For Jesus shed His precious blood 03:04 Rich blessings to bestow 03:09 Plunge now Into the crimson flood 03:15 That washes white as snow 03:25 Dear Daddy, 03:27 thank You so very much for Your promises 03:29 to give rest when I'm weary. 03:31 You are there to offer love and comfort 03:33 when the trials of life threatened to overwhelm me. 03:37 When I don't know what to do, 03:39 I can curl up in Your lap and pray. 03:42 You have promised to take all my burdens 03:44 and to make them Yours. 03:46 Thank You for always giving me peace of mind 03:49 and rest for my soul. 03:51 This little child can trust her daddy. 03:55 I thank You and praise You 03:56 in the name of my big brother 03:58 Jesus. 03:59 Amen. 04:05 Jesus, we are sometimes weary. 04:08 We spend each day busy 04:10 and feel like we've accomplished very little. 04:14 Sometime we're just frazzled 04:16 and our hands are full 04:18 and our emotions are real missed. 04:20 All of the things that we have to do. 04:24 Help us to come to You in the middle of the overwhelm 04:26 and remind us of Your ever present help 04:29 in those times of need. 04:31 Show us how to rest in You. 04:33 Reveal Yourself to us 04:36 and beauty in the work and in the rest. 04:39 Calm our anxious thoughts 04:40 and encourage our hearts with Your nearness. 04:43 Instruct us in Your ways 04:45 and bring productivity and containment of the peace 04:48 and the comfort that You give us. 04:51 Settle us in Your truth and in Your love. 04:55 And now may the Lord of peace Himself 04:58 give us His peace at all times and in every situation, 05:04 Amen. 05:10 Dear Lord, from the beginning of creation, 05:13 You made provision for each one of us 05:16 to take time to rest, 05:18 and isn't it interesting 05:20 that rest is the one thing 05:22 that the majority of us forget to do. 05:25 We are so hurried in our lives to go here and there, 05:28 to do this and that, 05:30 that all we see is the effects of no rest, 05:34 stress, mental issues, health related problems, 05:38 broken marriages and relationships, 05:41 financial difficulties, and the list goes on and on. 05:44 Lord, help us to realize that You are the God of rest 05:49 and You long for us to receive rest. 05:53 You've told us in the Bible 05:55 to come to You and that You will give us rest. 05:59 Help us to see our need for rest 06:02 and to seek You for that rest. 06:05 Thank you, Lord. 06:10 Yes, Jesus is the truth 06:15 And the way 06:17 That leads us into rest 06:22 Believe in Him without delay 06:29 And you are fully blessed 06:36 Only trust Him, only trust Him 06:43 Only trust Him now 06:49 He will save you He will save you 06:55 He will save you now 07:02 Come then and join This holy band 07:07 And on to glory go 07:12 To dwell in that celestial land 07:18 Where joys immortal flows 07:28 Dear God, 07:30 You gave us Your Sabbath as a day of rest 07:33 and a day to enjoy Your work and Your blessings. 07:36 Help me, dear God, 07:37 to be able to discard the bad around me 07:40 and place my thoughts on You and Your goodness 07:42 and Your grace 07:44 to be a blessing to others. 07:46 As a new child of Yours, 07:48 bring me to the place that I need to be, 07:51 where Your will be done. 07:53 In Your name I pray. 07:54 Amen. 08:00 Lord, as we come to You in the name of Jesus, 08:04 we thank You that Your presence goes with us 08:06 as it did with the Hebrew children 08:08 in the desert. 08:09 And You give us rest for our weary souls. 08:12 Our salvation comes from You, Lord, 08:15 and in You alone we dwell safely 08:16 and find our rest. 08:18 Thank You that we can lie down and sleep in peace. 08:22 In Jesus' name, amen. 08:28 Our precious Father in heaven, 08:31 Lord, we come to You right now 08:35 in this world that is filled with people that are restless. 08:39 People that are running to and fro, 08:43 they are so busy with their lives, 08:46 but, Lord, You are offering them rest, 08:49 rest for them 08:51 that they may know You, 08:53 may they rest in the Word of God. 08:56 May they find a rest in Your Word, 08:59 find rest by talking to You. 09:02 Lord, we thank You 09:04 that You can give us the rest and the peace 09:07 that passes all understanding. 09:10 So, Father, we pray that 09:11 You'll continue to guide those lives 09:14 who are restless, who are searching for You. 09:18 And I pray that they will find You. 09:20 And when they do 09:22 what peace and rest they will have. 09:24 Thank you Lord. 09:26 In Jesus' name, amen. 09:30 Father, we thank You 09:32 for Psalm 23:1-2 09:36 that says 09:37 You are our shepherd. 09:40 We lack nothing. 09:43 You make me lie down in green pastures. 09:47 You lead me beside quiet waters. 09:51 Father, I pray for the one who is in need. 09:57 Father, we all have needs, 09:59 but when we rely on You as our great shepherd, 10:02 we truly lack nothing. 10:04 For, Father, You know our needs, 10:06 even before we speak them. 10:10 And You have a way of meeting those needs 10:12 according to Your riches and glory. 10:15 So I just want to thank You 10:17 for the confidence that we can have in You, 10:20 the trust that we can have in You, Lord. 10:24 We can leave things in Your hand 10:26 and know that You will provide, You will take care. 10:30 And in the meantime, You will protect us 10:33 and give us a peace of mind, 10:36 a peace that passes all understanding. 10:38 So thank You, Father. 10:41 Psalm 91:1-2 says, 10:43 "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high 10:46 will rest in the shadow of the almighty. 10:50 I will say of the Lord, 10:51 He is my refuge and my fortress, 10:54 my God in whom I trust." 10:56 Father, 10:57 right now I know that 10:59 there are people who are all up in arms. 11:02 They are anxious because of the insecurity, 11:09 anxious because of unsurety, 11:13 things that are out of their control. 11:16 Lord, I pray that You will remind them 11:20 that all we have to do is trust in You, 11:24 to rest in You, 11:26 to know that 11:28 You've got this whole thing figured out. 11:31 Nothing takes You by surprise. 11:34 Father, I thank You 11:36 that I can place total confidence in You 11:42 and believe that You will see us safely through. 11:45 You are my refuge. 11:46 I will say of the Lord, 11:48 He is my refuge, He is my fortress, 11:51 my God in whom I trust. 11:53 Precious Lord, 11:55 I'm so grateful 11:58 for those who are battling 12:01 trouble in their marriage and family, 12:04 for those who are in need of healing physically, 12:09 for those in need of job and finance, 12:14 for those who are battling cancer, 12:18 for those who need Your protection and safety. 12:23 Oh Father, God, 12:26 I pray that You will reach down 12:28 and minister to them, Lord. 12:31 You are our only hope. 12:35 So, Lord, I rest in You. 12:38 Thank You that You've got the whole world in Your hands 12:42 and as Your child, I give it all to You. 12:47 I withhold nothing. 12:48 I'm not going to leave from this moment 12:50 and pick it back up again, 12:52 because that would be futile. 12:56 I'm trusting in you, Lord. 13:01 When I only trust You, 13:04 I can know that You will hear me 13:07 and You will
