00:31 If you're feeling anxious or worried today,
00:33 let me remind you of two scripture, 00:36 Psalm 56:3 says, 00:38 "When I am afraid, 00:39 I will put my trust in you." 00:41 Philippians 4:6 says, 00:43 "Be anxious for nothing, 00:44 but in everything by prayer and supplication, 00:47 with thanksgiving, 00:49 let your requests be made known to God." 00:51 Some of us may recall 00:53 having an intense fear of thunderstorms 00:55 when we were children. 00:56 Did you ever cry out to your parents 00:58 in the middle of the night? 00:59 Did they come to you with comfort? 01:01 Did they stay with you until you fell asleep again? 01:04 Or did they ignore you 01:06 or tell you to just get over it? 01:09 As adults, you and I still have things 01:11 that can worry us or cause anxiety. 01:14 You may have known poverty and have worried about 01:16 how would you provide for your children. 01:19 Many of us have faced the illness of a loved one 01:21 and worried about what was happening to them. 01:25 Our Heavenly Father wants us to remember that 01:27 He is always there 01:29 to hold us up in the storms of life. 01:31 He gives comfort and reassurance 01:33 that He will never leave us. 01:35 And when we do have concerns, 01:37 just take it to Him 01:38 and believe that He hears and answers us. 01:43 I encourage you to trust God today 01:45 for whatever or whoever is worrying you 01:48 or causing you anxiety. 01:50 He really cares for you. 02:00 Dear Daddy, 02:01 I'm being tempted to be anxious and worried yet again, 02:05 so many things to be concerned about. 02:08 Fear threatens to take away my joy, my peace 02:11 and my sanity. 02:13 Thank You so very much for reminding me that 02:16 when I'm afraid, I can turn to You in trust. 02:20 You are there for me to give me comfort and peace. 02:24 Thank You that I can come to You in prayer 02:26 because You're never too busy to listen to this child. 02:30 I can tell You all about the things that scare me. 02:33 And You call me with the reassurance 02:35 that I'm never alone. 02:37 The problem might still be there, 02:39 but I don't have to worry 02:41 because You are my daddy, 02:43 who is more powerful than the problem. 02:46 I can have peace in the middle of the storm. 02:49 Thank you, Daddy. 02:51 I praise You in the name of my big brother Jesus. 02:54 Amen. 02:58 Loving Father, You have proven time and again 03:01 to be greater than my angst, 03:03 for life has given me plenty of opportunity to worry. 03:06 But You've been faithful and dependable in trying times, 03:10 and I thank You. 03:11 God, for those who are facing medical concerns, 03:15 financial woes, job loss, overwhelming decisions, 03:20 God, help them to turn their eyes upon You. 03:23 God as long as there is life, 03:25 there will be something to fret about. 03:28 Teach us to manage our stress by laying it on You. 03:31 I will trust in You for You are my peace. 03:34 I will not allow the enemy to torment me 03:37 with what ifs or mights or maybes. 03:41 I will stand on the promises of the Bible. 03:43 I lean on You as my source, 03:46 and I cast my cares upon Jesus Christ, 03:48 my solid rock. 03:50 Thank You, Faithful Father, I have no cause to worry. 04:02 Lord I confess, 04:06 Yes, I confess 04:09 Bowing here, 04:13 I find my rest 04:16 And without You, 04:19 I fall apart 04:23 You're the one 04:25 That guides my heart 04:29 Lord, I need You 04:32 Oh I need You 04:37 Every hour, 04:40 I need You 04:44 My one defense, my righteousness 04:50 Oh God, how I need You 04:57 Where sin runs deep, 05:00 Your grace is more 05:03 Where grace is found 05:06 Is where You are 05:09 And where You are, Lord, 05:12 I am free 05:16 Holiness is Christ in me 05:27 Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You 05:30 that You have promised us the oil of joy for morning 05:34 with garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. 05:38 I thank You that whenever we feel overwhelmed 05:41 as the psalmist David declared, 05:44 that we can run to the rock, 05:46 Christ Jesus, the anchor of our heart and soul. 05:50 I thank You that in John 14:27, 05:54 You have promised us the gift of Your peace, 05:57 and that our hearts 05:59 do not have to be overtaken 06:01 by fear and anxiety. 06:03 For You tell us not to allow our hearts 06:06 to be troubled, or to be afraid 06:09 but rather, 06:10 that we should think on these things 06:12 as in Philippians 4:8, 06:14 "Whatsoever things are true, 06:17 whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, 06:22 whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, 06:26 whatsoever things are of good report, 06:29 if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, 06:34 think on these things." 06:36 Father, I pray for those today 06:39 who are feeling anxious or overwhelmed, 06:42 weighted down by the cares of this life. 06:45 I pray that You will be a hedge of protection about them. 06:49 I pray, Father, that You will guard their minds 06:51 and that they will feel Your love surround them. 06:54 I thank You 06:56 that You are in complete control 06:57 of every storm that we face in this life 07:01 and that we can find rest in Your perfect peace. 07:05 We choose to trust You, Lord, and we thank You in faith. 07:10 In Jesus' name I pray. 07:12 Amen. 07:16 Most gracious and loving Father in heaven, 07:19 you told us in 2 Timothy 1:7, that 07:23 "You have not given us a spirit of fear, 07:25 but a spirit of power, 07:27 and of love and of a sound mind." 07:30 Knowing this, Father, 07:31 we should always rejoice in the Lord. 07:33 And I will say again, rejoice! 07:35 We should never be anxious for anything, Father, 07:37 knowing that all we have to do is pray 07:39 and ask for thanksgiving, and the peace of God 07:42 which passes all understanding 07:44 will guard our heart and our mind 07:46 through Christ Jesus. 07:48 Amen. 07:50 Dear Heavenly Father, 07:52 today as we contemplate the topic of anxiety and worry, 07:58 we can see a definite rise 08:00 in anxiety and worry among people today. 08:04 We also find that 08:05 You speak a lot about this topic 08:07 in Your Holy Scriptures. 08:11 Open our eyes, open my eyes, 08:15 that I will be able to see the need 08:17 to be spending more time with You. 08:20 Help me, Lord, to set aside the distracting things 08:23 in my life, 08:24 so that I may spend more time 08:26 reading and studying Your Word, the Bible. 08:30 As I spend more time with You, 08:33 less time will be spent being anxious and worrying 08:36 about the things of this world. 08:39 Lord, help me to trust Your promises, 08:42 and share with those around me. 08:46 Amen. 08:49 Lord, sometimes the devil comes at us 08:51 trying to make us think that 08:53 we're never going to be good enough 08:54 to enter the kingdom, 08:56 that we're fall short on pleasing You, 08:59 that we're on the path of destruction. 09:01 But in You we find the strength and the wisdom, 09:04 the guiding light, our reassurance 09:06 that we can do all things through You. 09:08 Please stay with me and teach me 09:12 and place my feet on the path that will take me to You. 09:15 Because the day that You return with Your angels, 09:18 please let me be counted as Yours. 09:20 I want to hear You say, 09:22 "Well done, my good and faithful servant." 09:24 Please Lord, in Your name I pray. 09:27 Amen. 09:31 So teach my song to rise to You 09:36 When temptation comes my way 09:40 And when I cannot stand, I'll fall on You 09:46 Jesus, You're my hope and stay 09:52 Lord, I need You, 09:55 Oh I need You 10:00 Every hour, 10:04 I need You 10:07 My one defense, 10:10 My righteousness 10:14 Oh God, how I need You 10:21 I love Matthew 6:33-34, that says, 10:26 "But seek first the kingdom of God 10:28 and His righteousness 10:29 and all these things will be added to you. 10:32 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, 10:34 for tomorrow will be anxious for itself, 10:37 sufficient for today is its own trouble." 10:44 Dear Lord, I lift up those who are listening 10:49 and facing issues. 10:55 They're recuperating from recent surgeries, 10:59 recuperating from viruses and diseases. 11:02 Father, I ask for Your healing power 11:05 to give them the strength to persevere 11:08 as they recuperate. 11:12 Restore them, oh God. 11:15 Father, I pray that 11:17 You would grant patience and tolerance 11:20 for families who are living together. 11:24 Father, multiple people in one house 11:28 can sometimes be an adjustment and frustrating. 11:32 My God, I pray that You will give them love 11:35 and compassion for one another, 11:37 patience and tolerance. 11:42 Lord, I pray for those who need a touch 11:46 in their finances, 11:48 who are looking for work. 11:51 Father, that You will open the door 11:52 for job opportunities. 11:56 And, Lord, that You will give those 11:59 that are looking, 12:01 give them patience to wait for the right job, 12:05 for the job that they know is of You. 12:08 God, grant us wisdom and discernment 12:11 in our employment, oh Lord. 12:14 Father, I pray for those who need protection and safety. 12:20 Lord, there are those who 12:23 due to some tragic event or situation, 12:28 their families are estranged. 12:31 Lord, I ask that You will restore 12:34 broken relationships. 12:38 And, Father, for those who are seeking marriage 12:43 for a godly partner. 12:44 Lord, I pray that You would again grant patience 12:50 as they wait for the right person. 12:53 Lord, lead us, 12:57 direct us. 12:59 We can't do a thing without You. 13:02 Anytime we even try we realize that 13:05 we make a mess of things. 13:09 Father, You are so good. 13:10 We thank You that You are taking away anxiety, 13:13 You are taking away worry. 13:15 We can trust in You at all times, 13:18 to be our Father, to be our Savior, 13:22 to care about every aspect that we go through. 13:26 So I say... 13:27 Lord, I need You, 13:29 Oh I need You 13:34 Every hour, 13:37 I need You 13:40 You are my one defense 13:44 You are my
