00:31 In Deuteronomy 11:26-28,
00:35 God says, "See, I am setting before you today, 00:38 a blessing and a curse. 00:40 The blessing, if you listen to the commandments 00:42 of the Lord, Your God, 00:43 which I am commanding you today, 00:45 and the curse if you do not listen to the commandments 00:48 of the Lord, Your God." 00:50 God is a perfect, trustworthy, and fair judge. 00:53 God is the owner of all things 00:55 and wants to share good things with us, 00:58 but He cannot bless sin because His ways are righteous. 01:02 That's why God tells us in Matthew 6:33, 01:06 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God 01:08 and His righteousness 01:09 and all these other things shall be added unto you." 01:12 If we choose to obey righteousness, 01:14 our blessings will increase. 01:18 We typically learn as children that there's a reward 01:21 for obeying and a price for disobeying. 01:24 I would much rather be rewarded than be in debt, 01:28 and I believe God would much rather reward us. 01:31 Let's pray. 01:37 Our Father in heaven, thank You for Your wonderful promises. 01:42 Help us to love Your ways. 01:45 Help us to love to do right. 01:48 Help us to love Your protective laws. 01:53 Help us to love and appreciate Your gift at the cross. 01:57 Help us to love and let You sanctify us. 02:02 Help us to love and let You redeem us. 02:06 Help us to love Your Word that lights our path. 02:11 In Jesus' name we thank You for Your promise 02:15 that You will finish what You have started. 02:18 Amen. 02:22 Heavenly Father, 02:24 I once heard it said that obedience 02:28 is the highest form of worship. 02:31 Father, we worship You. 02:33 I worship You. 02:34 We love You, Lord. 02:36 Help us to be more and more obedient every day. 02:40 Help us to grow in faith 02:42 and in love of both You, Father, and each other. 02:47 We know our obedience is a reflection on You 02:50 and Your Son. 02:52 Help us to be a pure heart and pure mind 02:55 so that our example glorifies You 02:58 and Your Son, Jesus, whom we love, 03:00 for it's in Jesus' name we pray. 03:02 Amen. 03:08 When we walk with the Lord In the light 03:12 of His Word 03:14 What a glory He sheds on our way 03:20 While we do His good will 03:23 He abides with us still 03:27 And with all who will trust and obey 03:34 Trust and obey For there's no other way 03:39 To be happy in Jesus 03:44 But to trust and obey 03:52 Not a burden we bear 03:55 Not a sorrow we share 03:58 But our toil He doth richly repay 04:04 Not a grief or a loss 04:07 Not a frown or a cross 04:10 But is blest if we trust 04:14 And obey 04:21 Heavenly Father, we want to lift up Your church 04:23 and pray for obedience, obedience to Your Word, 04:27 obedience to You. 04:29 Lord, we know there's a lot of distractions in the world. 04:31 A lot of things that can keep us away from You 04:33 that can distract us from You. 04:36 So, Lord, we just pray that we stay true. 04:38 We fight the good fight. 04:40 We stay on the right path 04:42 that we may all eventually go to heaven together 04:45 and be there for eternity. 04:47 Lord, we ask this in Your holy name. 04:49 Amen. 04:53 Oh, Lord our God, Thy will not mind, 04:57 how many times have we prayed this prayer. 04:59 However, as we continue to press towards the mark 05:03 of our high calling, 05:05 we trust Your will to be done in us. 05:07 And may we always remember that I can do all things 05:10 through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. 05:13 So be it. 05:14 And as we grow day by day, 05:16 may Your will be done in our lives in Jesus' name. 05:20 Amen. 05:24 Dear Lord, You came to this earth to save us 05:26 all from our sins. 05:29 You shed Your blood and died on the cross 05:31 as a testament of Your love for us. 05:34 I thank You so much for remembering us, Lord. 05:37 Your Father in heaven gave us 05:39 the ability to show our love to You by following 05:42 a simple 10 commands written on a stone tablet. 05:47 Obedience to these simple commands 05:49 is so important to our eternal life. 05:52 If we obey these 10 simple steps faithfully, 05:57 we will be rewarded by sitting next to You in the heavenly 06:00 kingdom and feeling that 06:02 giant hug from our Heavenly Father. 06:04 And to hear His voice saying thank you 06:07 for being here with Me. 06:09 Thank You, Lord, for Your heavenly 06:11 reward by just following 06:13 Your simple plan with all our love. 06:16 Amen. 06:22 But we never can prove 06:24 The delights of His love 06:27 Until all on the altar we lay 06:34 For the favor He shows 06:37 For the joy He bestows 06:41 Are for those who will trust 06:44 And obey 06:48 Trust and obey 06:51 For there's no other way 06:54 To be happy in Jesus 06:58 But to trust and obey 07:04 In 2 Corinthians we read Chapter 10 and verse 5, 07:10 where it deals with submitting our minds to Christ. 07:15 We demolish arguments 07:16 and every pretension that sets itself up 07:19 against the knowledge of God. 07:21 And we take captive every thought 07:25 to make it obedient to Christ. 07:33 speaks to our obedience toward authority. 07:38 It says, "Have confidence in your leaders 07:40 and submit to their authority because they keep watch 07:43 over you as those who must give an account, 07:48 do this so that their work will be a joy, 07:51 not a burden for that would be of no 07:54 benefit to you." 07:57 And John 15:14 sums it up when Jesus says, 08:01 "You are my friends if you do what I command." 08:09 Father, I ask that You would soften my heart, 08:14 and grow me closer to You 08:17 as I place my life in Your hands. 08:21 Lord, I want to be obedient. 08:27 Lord, show me Your ways. 08:33 God, bind the devil from tempting me to do 08:36 the things on my own and give me 08:40 the strength to stand strong 08:45 and to not give in 08:49 to temptation to do it my way. 08:56 Give me the will to stand tall 08:58 and accept Your will for me and not my own. 09:02 I love You, Lord. 09:08 Savior, You're so patient with us when we are stubborn. 09:19 God realize that people are rebellious 09:22 and we are all indulged in our own 09:26 desires from time to time, 09:30 instead of obeying Your command 09:35 and filling that void in their heart with Jesus, 09:39 we fill it with hundreds of temporary things, 09:44 fixes and distractions, 09:50 but we keep turning to these sins 09:53 even though they don't work. 09:56 God, open our eyes to see the solution 10:05 for our brokenness, 10:08 for our sin, for our selfishness, 10:11 for our disobedience. 10:14 The solution is the cross, the cross of Christ, 10:18 surrendering ourselves and our lives, 10:23 our minds, our passions, our way, 10:28 surrendering it all to You, God. 10:37 Lord, help us to be obedient. 10:42 What He says we will do 10:46 Where He sends we will go 10:48 Never fear, only trust and obey 10:59 Trust and obey 11:02 For there's no other way 11:06 To be happy in Jesus 11:11 But to trust and obey 11:17 Is there something that you feel like the spirit 11:20 is asking you to obey? 11:25 Just someone that you need to pray for, 11:28 someone that you need to go to, 11:31 that you feel the spirit beckoning you, calling you. 11:38 Let's take time to pause to pray. 12:17 2 John 1:6 says, 12:23 "This is love that we walk in 12:25 obedience to His commands. 12:29 As you have heard from the beginning, 12:32 His command is that you walk in love." 12:41 Lord, I ask that You will help me to walk in love. 12:50 Father, I ask that You will open doors 12:51 of opportunity for me to be a witness. 12:56 Wherever I go, I can be a witness 12:58 by what I say, by what I do, 13:00 by just simply the way I act. 13:07 Lord, I ask that You will have mercy on the lost, 13:11 just as You had mercy on those of us 13:14 who have turned to You for salvation. 13:21 We will obey You. 13:24 I make that commitment to obey Him 13:28 for there's no better way. 13:33 No happiness can we find 13:39 that is so peaceful 13:41 and full of contentment than to simply trust and obey. 13:52
