00:31 Today's prayer focus is on freedom.
00:34 Having freedom is something that most of us desire, 00:37 freedom from addiction, 00:39 freedom from tyranny, 00:40 freedom of choice. 00:42 And I'm sure you've heard about or thought 00:44 freedom to do as we please. 00:47 And, of course, the list goes on. 00:49 Freedom can also be something that we think 00:51 we have only to realize that it wasn't freedom at all. 00:56 Galatians 5:1 says, 00:57 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty 00:59 by which Christ has made us free, 01:02 and do not be entangled again 01:04 with a yoke of bondage." 01:08 According to today's text, Christ has made us free. 01:12 Have you and I truly accepted 01:14 the freedom that Christ has offered? 01:17 If we truly accept the freedom that He has offered, 01:19 we should see a change in how we live our daily life. 01:23 Our life will reflect the freedom that was given. 01:27 Are we reflecting Christ? Let's pray. 01:36 Our Gracious Father, I thank You for freedom. 01:40 I pray that the freedom that You offer will be seen in me. 01:45 May all that I do reflect you. 01:49 Amen. 01:52 Dear Lord, freedom is something that means 01:55 something different to each person. 01:57 And compared to the freedom that You provide 02:00 is something that we can't even conceptualize, Lord. 02:04 Your love is the ultimate freedom for each 02:08 and every person. 02:09 We're only ever truly free 02:11 when we give our lives over to You. 02:14 Lord, thank You. 02:15 Thank You for Your everlasting love, 02:18 Your love that is eternal. 02:21 Lord, help me to embrace Your love 02:23 that when You come back, 02:25 I will be ready to see Your face, Lord. 02:28 Amen. 02:31 Dear Father, 02:33 we come to You today asking for freedom, 02:37 freedom from the chains that bind us, 02:39 freedom from these illnesses that hold us down. 02:43 Freedom from sin. 02:46 Oh God, we know that You can give us 02:49 everything that we need. 02:50 And so we ask for freedom today. 02:53 We ask You to free us from all that's holding us 02:57 back from serving You even more intensely. 03:01 Thank You, Lord. 03:02 Thank You for giving us the freedom that 03:05 only You can give the freedom that comes when we know You 03:08 and intimately walk with You. 03:11 Thank You for that freedom in Jesus' name. 03:14 Amen. 03:17 Father God, I thank You today for Jesus 03:20 and for the freedom that we have 03:22 because of this sin penalty 03:24 that He paid in the cross for us. 03:26 We have that freedom to worship Him, 03:29 to follow Him, to do those things 03:32 that are Christ-like. 03:34 We pray that You'll give us that ability every day to know 03:36 that we are a child of the King 03:39 and the freedom to follow Him freely, 03:41 in Christ's name. 03:42 Amen. 03:47 If you've been walking the same old road 03:51 For miles and miles 03:55 If you've been hearing the same old voice 03:59 Tell the same old lies 04:03 If you're trying to fill 04:06 The same old holes inside 04:10 There's a better life 04:14 There's a better life 04:18 If you've got pain 04:21 He's a pain taker 04:25 If you feel lost 04:28 He's a way maker 04:32 If you need freedom or saving 04:37 He's a prison-shaking 04:39 Savior If you've got chains 04:44 He's a chain breaker 04:52 Dear Heavenly Father, 04:53 I thank You for the freedom that we have. 04:56 Even with the virus, we find our freedom in You. 04:59 You give us freedom from worry, 05:00 for we can place all of our cares in Your hands, 05:05 and You will work it out for us. 05:06 Dear Father, we just need to trust You. 05:09 Please help us to remember that no matter the situation. 05:12 You give us freedom to come to You to leave 05:15 it there in Your hands and to know that, 05:17 Father, You are working in each of our lives. 05:20 We pray, Father, that You work Your 05:21 team to lead us in the freedom, 05:23 knowing that our true freedom, 05:26 our real freedom comes in walking with You 05:29 and having a relationship with You 05:31 that will take us into eternity. 05:33 I ask this in Jesus' name and I thank You, Father, 05:36 for hearing and answering our prayers. 05:38 Amen. 05:41 Our loving Heavenly Father, 05:43 we come before You in Jesus' name to ask 05:46 for the blessing of freedom. 05:49 Only You can set us free. 05:51 Lord, bless us with freedom from guilt. 05:54 Bless us with freedom from evil habits. 05:58 Bless us, Lord, with freedom from being a servant 06:02 of the devil and help us to have the freedom 06:05 of being Your children. 06:07 We thank You, Lord, that the blood 06:09 of Jesus Christ makes this possible. 06:12 We ask You for freedom in Jesus' name. 06:15 Amen. 06:21 We've all searched for the light 06:23 of day in the dead of night 06:28 We've all found ourselves worn out 06:31 From the same old fight 06:35 And we've all run to things we know 06:39 Just aren't right 06:42 When there's a better life 06:46 There's a better life 06:49 So if you've got pain 06:54 He's the pain taker 06:57 And if you feel lost 07:00 He's the way maker 07:04 If you need freedom or saving 07:09 He's a prison shaking Savior 07:12 If you've got chains 07:16 He's the chain breaker 07:22 Galatians 5:13 says, 07:24 "You my brothers and sisters were called to be free. 07:29 Do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh, 07:34 rather serve one another humbly in love." 07:39 In 1 Corinthians 6:12, 07:43 "I have the right to do anything you say, 07:47 but not everything is beneficial. 07:51 I have the right to do anything, 07:54 but I will not be mastered by anything." 07:58 Sometimes we think we're free to just do 08:03 whatever we want to do. 08:04 And that's what that verse talks about. 08:06 That maybe everything is lawful, 08:11 but as my friend says, just be ready to pay 08:18 the penalty if you do the wrong thing. 08:23 Romans 8:1-2 says, 08:26 "Therefore, there is now no 08:28 condemnation for those who are in Christ. 08:30 Jesus, because through Christ Jesus, 08:33 the law of the spirit 08:35 who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." 08:44 And there may be someone watching 08:47 who needs to be set free from sin. 08:51 That's our greatest need is to be set free. 08:59 To turn our life to Christ. 09:01 So I invite you to take on these words, 09:06 as I say them over 09:08 the next few moments to pray, 09:12 to receive Christ into your life, 09:14 to claim Him as your personal Savior. 09:22 First believe that Jesus is the Son of God. 09:27 He truly is. 09:32 Then we admit that we are sinners. 09:36 And we need a Savior. 09:41 Lord, I believe that Jesus Christ 09:43 conquered sin and death. 09:45 And I claim Him as Lord and Savior of my life. 09:53 In Christ, I am a new person, 09:57 made righteous through Christ's righteousness. 10:04 I'm accepted because of the sacrifice 10:07 He made on the cross to forgive my sin. 10:13 I accept this truth through grace, 10:15 that my freedom cannot be earned. 10:18 Nothing I could do. 10:22 Only through the blood of Christ, 10:26 I can be forgiven. 10:34 Lord, I forgive every person 10:37 who has done things that hurt me 10:41 or harm me just as Jesus has forgiven me. 10:47 I choose to forgive them. 10:52 And I believe that God sent the Holy Spirit into the world, 10:56 that my body is a place where the Holy Spirit dwells. 11:04 And as a child of God, 11:05 I can come to the Father through Jesus Christ. 11:14 I am a child of God created in His image. 11:18 The devil has no place in my life, 11:21 no power over me. 11:27 I take a stand against every lie that the devil 11:30 has spoken to me and over me. 11:34 And I refuse to believe any lie that He would tell me. 11:44 Father, I surrender all to you. 11:52 And I come against every stronghold 11:55 that the devil has constructed in my life. 11:58 Every fear, every worry, every anxiety, 12:00 every doubt and insecurity, 12:03 every abandonment and self-hatred 12:07 guilt and shame. 12:12 Jesus, You are the chain breaker. 12:15 And I commit every one of these to you. 12:22 If you as a child of God have taken on any 12:24 of those attributes, things that you need, 12:29 the change to be gone, 12:33 I would trust that you 12:35 would just reach out to Christ 12:38 and accept that He is the chain breaker, 12:46 and He wants you to be free from the torment and the pain, 12:50 the frustration and the agony of your chains. 12:59 And then thank Him for it. 13:01 Thank Him for taking your chains away. 13:04 My chains are gone 13:06 I've been set free My God, 13:10 My Savior has ransomed me 13:16 And like a flood 13:19 His mercy reigns 13:23 Unending love 13:27 Amazing grace 13:33 If Christ has done something for you today, 13:35 go tell somebody, 13:38 tell them that your chains are gone. 13:41 You've lost the weight of all those chains, 13:45 and then share the gospel with someone. 13:48 Amen. 13:51 Please send us your
