00:16 Hi, friend, welcome to Day 3 of 10 Days Of Prayer.
00:20 My friend JD Quinn and I are here 00:22 to remind you to pause to pray. 00:25 Romans 12:1 reminds us, "Offer your bodies 00:29 as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. 00:32 This is your true and proper worship." 00:35 This is a good testimony, listen to it. 00:38 "I was a businessman, age 36 00:40 when a friend who was a pastor suddenly passed away at age 41. 00:44 This brought the question to my mind, 00:47 'What would happen if God called me to be a pastor?' 00:49 I did not want this at all. 00:51 For a whole week I fought bitterly 00:53 and negotiated with God morning, noon and night. 00:56 I explained to him 00:58 how I could serve Him in other ways. 01:00 Apparently, He was not hearing my objections. 01:03 And as I knelt by my bed with no further arguments, 01:07 a quiet thought entered my mind. 01:09 'God loves you.' 01:11 And I thought, 'Yeah, I believe that,' 01:13 after a few minutes, 01:15 trust in God's love led me to completely surrender myself. 01:19 Then I was at peace. 01:21 And one and a half years later, 01:22 the Lord did call me to become a pastor. 01:25 Years later, I am still so grateful to Him. 01:27 It was His endless love and wisdom 01:30 that showed me a completely different way 01:32 than what I had in my mind. 01:34 Now I see that this surrender released 01:36 great blessings in my life. 01:39 God led me in the best possible way." 01:42 Isn't that good? 01:43 You know many of us 01:44 have not fully surrendered to God. 01:46 But instead, we take our lives into our own hands, 01:49 which leaves us with no power of the Holy Spirit, 01:52 which is the gift that brings forth all of God's other gifts. 01:56 Well, I know I've been there. 01:59 When we surrender to Christ, He is able to free us 02:02 from the tyranny of ourselves, from envy, resentment, 02:06 quarrelsomeness, greed, addiction, anger, pride, 02:09 conceit, discouragement, inferiority complexes, 02:13 and so much more. 02:16 There's great freedom in surrendering to Christ. 02:21 But a potter, he can only work with the clay 02:23 that is in his hands. 02:25 That's why we must offer ourselves to God. 02:28 He invites you today to experience 02:30 the benefits of totally trusting in Him. 02:43 Purify my heart 02:47 Let me be as gold 02:52 And precious silver Purify my heart 02:59 Let me be as gold 03:04 Pure gold 03:08 Refiner's fire 03:14 My heart's one desire 03:20 Is to be holy 03:27 Set apart for you, Lord 03:32 I choose to be holy 03:40 Set apart for you, my Master 03:46 Ready to do Your will 03:54 I hope that's your prayer. 03:57 JD, you wanna pray for us? 03:59 Yes. 04:01 Father, we just love You. 04:02 We come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. 04:06 Father, we do surrender to You. 04:09 Father, that's what we want to do, 04:11 we consent to give You permission 04:14 to be in charge of our lives. 04:17 What a gift it is, Lord, 04:18 to be able to depend upon You 04:21 and not depend upon ourselves. 04:24 Thank You, Lord, for the gift of the Holy Spirit, 04:27 that is there to urge us, just to nudge us 04:32 into who we should be, according to Your will. 04:36 Once again, thank You, Lord, for the gift of surrendering 04:40 to the creator of the universe. 04:42 We love You and we thank You in the name of Jesus. 04:45 Amen. 04:47 One of the important aspects of surrendering our lives 04:51 is to give up those things 04:52 that we so easily 04:57 fall into our vices and our habits. 05:03 And we certainly need Your Spirit, oh, God, 05:07 to give us that strength to resist temptation. 05:10 1 John 5:18, says, 05:13 "We know that everyone who has been born of God 05:15 does not keep on sinning. 05:17 But he who was born of God protects him 05:20 and the evil one does not touch him." 05:23 Father, thank You for promising 05:25 to protect us from the evil one. 05:27 Lord, we need that protection. 05:35 Lord, we need a shield of protection, 05:37 a hedge of protection wrapped around us 05:39 to protect us, and we need to walk 05:44 all the more closer to You, God. 05:48 For we know when we're in Your arms, 05:51 and our minds are stayed upon You 05:54 that we don't want to sin. 06:00 So, God, thank You for Your protection. 06:04 And thank You, Father, that we have forgiveness. 06:08 In Jesus' name, 06:09 we have forgiveness when we do sin. 06:12 Lord, You're such a good God. 06:15 And we come to You with so many needs. 06:20 We present them to You now, God. 06:28 Father, we just come to You in the name of Jesus 06:30 once again, Lord. 06:33 Father, we ask for healing. 06:35 Father, there's so much going on in this world today. 06:39 It seems like whether we look at to the right or to the left, 06:42 even behind us, Lord, 06:44 there's someone that's yelling out, 06:46 looking for betterment, looking Lord to You, 06:52 to help make some sense out of their life. 06:56 So, Father, as we just lift up this healing to You. 07:00 There are people out there, Lord, 07:01 that are prone to accidents. 07:04 Maybe they are falling off of a ladder 07:07 or, Father, maybe they'll just run through an amber light 07:10 thinking that they're okay. 07:13 So, Father, as we just continue to think about You, 07:17 we just think, Lord, with You we have that peace. 07:20 We have that calmness. 07:22 We have that surety 07:24 that You're out there beside us. 07:27 So, Father, as we call upon Your name, 07:30 as we trust in You, 07:32 let us have that peace 07:34 that goes beyond our understanding. 07:39 Lord, we know that there are many who are facing addiction, 07:44 alcohol and drug and pornography 07:47 and so many things that, God, 07:52 they can take our eyes off of You, 07:54 but more than that or not necessarily more, 07:58 but the fact that 08:01 they are so destructive to us, 08:06 destructive to our health 08:08 and destructive to our relationships. 08:11 Father God, 08:13 I believe that we have deliverance in You. 08:17 Jesus, we know that You 08:19 gave Your life... 08:21 that we might have abundant life, 08:26 freedom and the chains broken from addiction. 08:32 So, God, I'm praying right now for the one who is watching 08:35 that is suffering, Lord, 08:39 may be something in secret 08:40 that they're trying to keep under wraps. 08:46 God, let them know that 08:47 they can find deliverance in You. 08:50 Father, You offer peace of mind and freedom from addiction. 08:55 Thank You for breaking our chains, 08:58 let it be in Jesus' name that they surrender to You. 09:02 Father, I'm thinking right now, 09:04 most of us work in an office or we have neighbors, 09:09 we have family members that are combating something. 09:12 We think of Clyde. 09:14 Clyde is preparing for his 17th surgery 09:17 on his back, Lord. 09:20 And, Father, he continues to be a soldier for You. 09:22 He continues to go forward in faith, Lord, 09:25 that this time is going to work. 09:28 Father, we don't understand how all this works. 09:31 We just know, Lord, 09:32 that You have the plan for our life. 09:34 And, Father, with each obstacle that comes before us, 09:37 each test that that tries us, 09:40 Father, we just wanna keep our eyes focused on You, 09:43 trust in You, Lord, 09:45 so that we will receive that healing, that comfort. 09:49 We love You, Lord. 09:53 Father, for those who are 09:57 in relationships and marriages that are struggling. 10:02 Father, the virus , 10:07 the COVID situation left 10:11 so much more even than sickness of it, 10:15 the physical ramifications, 10:18 Lord, as people were confined to their homes 10:20 and having to live with each other. 10:24 Lord, we learn of abuses 10:26 that were happening and child abuse and divorce 10:30 because people can't get along 10:33 when they're confined to their homes. 10:35 God give us hearts that love You 10:38 and love one another. 10:40 And I just pray that for those relationships 10:44 who are that are in great need 10:47 of peace and love 10:49 and just the attributes of Christ, oh God. 10:55 I pray that Your Holy Spirit will please just intervene. 11:01 Help us to surrender to You, 11:03 help us to surrender to the fruit of the Spirit, 11:07 that we will be filled with such love, 11:09 that we will love our husbands and our wives. 11:14 Father, that we will love as You love. 11:20 Father, I remember my daddy telling me many times 11:23 that there's never a road that doesn't have a turn. 11:25 Thank you. 11:27 We thank You for those turns, Lord. 11:28 And, Father, right now I know that there are people 11:30 that are have been incarcerated, 11:33 and, Father, they're soon to be released. 11:37 Father, going from a battle 11:40 that they have survived through, 11:43 hopefully have established a closer relationship with you. 11:48 And, Father, now they're going to be released. 11:52 And, Father, what do they do? 11:53 Who do they see? 11:55 Father, we just pray through Your mercy, 11:58 through Your grace, Lord, 12:00 that You will bring that spiritual mentor 12:03 into their pathway. 12:05 Father, so that they can equip themselves 12:09 for the daily activities on this outside world. 12:13 And, Father, 12:14 that they will have a deeper relationship 12:16 with You knowing that all good 12:20 and perfect things come from above. 12:22 So once again, Father, we thank You. 12:25 We thank You that we can call upon You, 12:27 the creator of the universe 12:30 that has a plan for each one of us. 12:31 Let us never forget that, Lord, 12:34 through all the junk that we go through, 12:37 that You have promised never to leave us, 12:39 never to forsake us. 12:41 Let us continue to call upon Your name, Lord, 12:45 that You're always there. 12:46 Increase our faith, Lord, 12:49 knowing that You are our Father. 12:55 I choose to be 13:00 Holy 13:03 Set apart for you, my Master 13:11 Ready to do Your will 13:19 I'm ready to do Your will 13:26 I hope that's your prayer. 13:27 And I hope you'll come back 13:29 and pray with us again tomorrow. 13:30 Thank you JD. 13:31 I love you and I love you. 13:33 God bless you. |
