00:17 Hi, welcome back to 10 Days of Prayer.
00:19 We're on Day 4. 00:21 My friend Donald Owen and I 00:23 want to remind you to take a moment to pause and pray. 00:27 Do you wonder why the Holy Spirit 00:29 is missing in your life? 00:30 God invites us to continually ask for His Holy Spirit. 00:34 But James 4:2-3 says, 00:37 "You do not have because you do not ask, 00:39 you ask and do not receive because you ask amiss." 00:43 By my experience, I can almost guarantee 00:45 that once you begin inviting the Holy Spirit into your day 00:48 and you surrender to His plans, 00:50 you will be so amazed at the way He moves 00:53 and the doors He opens 00:54 that you won't want to miss a day 00:56 without inviting Him to be in charge. 00:59 But what does it mean to ask amiss? 01:02 Simply put, God cannot bless 01:05 when our minds are set on things of the flesh. 01:08 Paul explains to be carnally minded is death, 01:12 but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 01:17 God's Word describes three groups of people 01:20 and their relationship to Him, the natural, 01:23 the spirit filled and the fleshly. 01:25 The natural man lives in the world 01:27 with no God relationship whatsoever, 01:30 spiritual things are foolishness to him. 01:32 The spirit filled person 01:33 has a full genuine relationship with God 01:36 and possesses the mind of Christ. 01:39 The fleshly person 01:41 has an un-devoted relationship with God. 01:44 In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul tells them, 01:47 "I could not speak to you as to spiritual people, 01:49 but as to carnal as to babes in Christ," 01:53 because they were still allowing 01:55 for worldly impulses. 01:57 They weren't fully putting into practice 01:59 the power of the Holy Spirit. 02:02 Do you want more of Jesus, more of the Holy Spirit? 02:07 Then I encourage you to dive into God's Word 02:10 and commit to combat the flesh. 02:14 This song is a powerful prayer for that very thing. 02:26 May the mind of Christ My Savior 02:33 Live in me from day to day 02:38 By His love and power control 02:43 All I do and say 02:49 May the Word of God dwell richly 02:54 In my heart from hour to hour 02:59 So that all may see I triumph 03:05 Only through His power 03:11 May the peace of God My Father 03:17 Rule my life in everything 03:22 That I may be called to comfort 03:28 Sick and sorrowing 03:33 One more verse, listen to this. 03:35 May the love of Jesus fill me 03:40 As the waters fill the sea 03:45 Him exalting, self abasing 03:52 This is victory 03:58 When we lift up Christ and we realize 04:02 that is when He increases and I decrease, that's victory. 04:09 So we can put revival into practice 04:11 and we can invite the Holy Spirit 04:13 to rule over our lives. 04:15 We can give Him full sway. 04:18 We have that authority, we have that power. 04:20 Wow, what a gift! 04:22 And I encourage you to take advantage of that. 04:29 Donald, you wanna pray for us? Sure. 04:31 Our Heavenly Father, we want to thank You, Lord, 04:34 You didn't come to be served but to serve. 04:37 And that's what You're looking for. 04:39 Lord, I'm thinking of 1 Peter 5:6, 04:42 it says, "Humble yourselves 04:43 therefore under the mighty hand of God, 04:45 that He may exalt you in due time." 04:46 So we're asking. 04:48 Lord, fill us with Your Holy Spirit, 04:49 help us to die to self, 04:51 help us to surrender our lives 04:54 to be mold and fashioned by Yours. 04:57 And that, Lord, we can truly reflect You, 04:58 we can truly resemble You, 05:01 we can truly reveal You but more importantly, 05:03 we can represent You. 05:04 We thank You, and ask this is in Jesus' name. 05:06 Amen. 05:07 That's great, so that we can represent You. 05:12 What an awesome responsibility. 05:16 Father God, we have so many needs, 05:18 so many viewers, 05:20 people around the world 05:22 who are calling in, 05:24 requesting prayer for healing in their marriage. 05:29 This one writes, 05:30 "Pray for divine intervention in my marriage." 05:36 It says, "He doesn't even want me listening to 3ABN. 05:42 He becomes loud and angry. 05:46 Father, we recognize that... 05:50 Satan will do everything in his power... 05:56 to prevent the Word of God... 06:01 from making strides. 06:06 But, God, we thank You that You're greater, 06:09 that Your Word has proven to be more powerful, 06:16 that You hold the gates, the keys... 06:21 to hell and death in the grave. 06:25 Father, I thank You that You are the victor. 06:28 And we have victory in You in Jesus' name. 06:34 This person writes, "Pray for my daughter 06:36 who was thought to be ending cancer treatment. 06:38 But now more spots have shown up. 06:40 Pray for those fighting symptoms of COVID-19. 06:43 Pray for those with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. 06:47 Pray for those with cellulitis or for a toddler 06:50 fighting the side effects of medication 06:52 that are used to combat his illness. 06:54 So, Lord, we just really want to pray 06:56 for all those right now, Lord. 06:59 Modern medicine, very important, 07:01 obviously there's a place for it. 07:02 But, Lord, You're the great physician. 07:05 And You will heal us one day You promised 07:08 that You will never leave us nor forsake us, 07:10 and that You're always at our side. 07:11 You said in John 16:33, 07:13 "To be of good cheer, for You've overcome the world." 07:15 We can overcome. 07:17 Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ 07:20 who strengthens me." 07:21 Lord, may You strengthen Your children today, 07:23 help them, those who are seeing disease, 07:26 it was never in Your intent 07:28 for us to have to experience cancer or tumors 07:32 or all these illnesses that we're seeing spread rampant. 07:37 You want us to have life eternal, 07:39 to have health and joy and peace. 07:41 And that's what You offer us when we ask You in. 07:44 So I ask, Lord, that You'll touch these people 07:46 in a special way, help them more to win this battle, 07:49 that they can put their confidence and trust 07:50 in the one who will restore them. 07:52 We pray this in Jesus' name. 07:54 Amen. 07:56 And, Father, 07:58 seems like a recurring prayer, 08:04 prayer for relationships. 08:08 This viewer requests prayer for the relationship 08:12 between them and their children. 08:16 Lord, I am grateful for a loving family. 08:23 I'm grateful for loving relationships. 08:28 God, help us to be humble and to serve one another, 08:30 to love one another, to admit when we're wrong. 08:35 And not even really to care about who's right or wrong, 08:39 but to love. 08:42 So, Father, I just pray that You will restore 08:45 the hearts of children to their parents. 08:52 God, I know that I love my sons and I want them to call me 08:57 and just to stay close to me, stay connected to me. 09:02 So, God, just as You want us to stay connected to You, 09:06 Lord God, I pray for these grieving parents, 09:10 that You will turn their children 09:13 back to that Jesus name. 09:17 Well, we have another request, 09:18 "We pray for a spiritual revival among 09:21 Christian young people who attend public colleges." 09:24 Oh, Lord. 09:25 We're asking, Lord, that You'd touch these young people 09:28 in a special way. 09:30 I'm forced to think about Samuel. 09:34 An interesting story, Lord, 09:35 that You came and touched this young man 09:36 and used him to create a spark 09:39 as Eli and his sons saw that flame begin to flicker 09:42 because of their disobedience. 09:44 But You have young people, Lord, 09:46 who will be obedient to Your call, 09:48 who will stand, who will listen and fill in the gap 09:51 for those who are suffering and struggling, 09:54 that they will be mighty warriors 09:55 just like Gideon, 09:57 from mighty warrior Gideon that You'll raise up a people. 09:59 Lord, You'll set a standard before them 10:02 and that where they will be able to be warriors for You. 10:04 We ask that You'll touch and anoint these young people. 10:07 And they will be a fire and a force 10:08 not of their strength but of Yours. 10:10 We thank You and ask this in Jesus' name. 10:12 Amen. 10:14 Father, I lift up missionaries, 10:17 who are serving in countries 10:20 that being a Christian missionary 10:22 is the last thing that you would think 10:25 anybody would want to be 10:26 for fear of persecution and the dangers. 10:33 We read of missionaries who are thrown into prison, 10:39 their houses burned. 10:41 And I wonder where are You God in those times? 10:46 Father, I know that You are able to use 10:49 these situations for Your glory. 10:52 And I'm reminded that our life, it doesn't matter. 10:58 If one soul comes to know You through our life, 11:02 then it's worth dying for You if necessary. 11:08 Holy God... 11:10 I pray that You will give our missionaries boldness, 11:15 Holy Spirit protect, guide, 11:19 give them favor among the locals 11:22 and among the authorities. 11:26 Lord God, 11:27 thank You that we have such an awesome message 11:30 that it's worth risking our life. 11:35 Thank You for Your Word. 11:37 Amen. 11:39 Heavenly Father, we wanna lift up 11:42 this world to You. 11:44 Your Word in Isaiah 60:2 tells us 11:47 that "Darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people." 11:50 So many souls, Lord, are perishing 11:52 for want and need of. 11:54 What really is this life all about? 11:58 We're talking about this concept of revival, Lord, 12:00 we need a refreshing that we may stand 12:05 in the presence of a holy God one day soon. 12:07 I believe You're coming very soon. 12:09 I'm forced to think about Isaiah 58 12:11 talking about that we lose the bands of wickedness, 12:13 we undo the heavy burdens. 12:15 We let the oppressed go free. 12:16 We break every yoke, every enslaving yoke. 12:20 And we feed those who are hungry, 12:21 we clothe those who don't have clothing, 12:24 we take care of those who are considered outcasts, Lord. 12:26 And You said that when we do this in verse 8, 12:28 that our health will return speedily. 12:30 So we're asking that 12:33 we can be those hands and feet of Jesus 12:34 that we can bring about the love of Christ 12:37 to those souls who are perishing in darkness. 12:40 You want none to perish, but all have everlasting life. 12:43 So we thank You, Lord, we ask this in Jesus' name. 12:45 Amen. 12:49 Thank you, Lord. 12:53 I know that You have many people 12:56 that are running through your mind, 12:59 family and friends and loved ones 13:01 and people that you run into on the street 13:03 that have needs. 13:06 I just encourage you to get on your face before the Lord. 13:14 This is a new year. 13:18 Make a resolve to spend time with God, 13:25 pleading for His Holy Spirit to control every thought, 13:29 every step. 13:32 And I just encourage you that the Word of God 13:35 dwell in you richly, 13:37 and may the mind of Christ like that verse says, 13:39 "May the mind of Christ my Savior, 13:42 live in you from day to day." 13:45 We pray in Jesus' name, amen. 13:48 Amen. |
