00:14 Hi, and welcome to 10 Days of Prayer, Day 5.
00:17 My friend JD Quinn and myself, 00:20 we are here to remind you to pause to pray. 00:24 Yesterday, I made reference to spiritual 00:26 and carnal Christians. 00:28 And you may be wondering what's up with that? 00:30 What's the difference? 00:31 Well, I would say spiritual Christian 00:33 is one who is sold out, led by the Holy Spirit, 00:37 walking daily by the spirit's guidance. 00:41 And the carnal Christian, well, is not. 00:45 He's kind of two-timing Jesus. 00:48 And we don't want to be carnal Christians, 00:51 we don't want to be living a divided life in Christ. 00:54 If you know, the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:1-3, 00:59 "And I, brethren, could not speak to you 01:01 as to spiritual people, but as to carnal, 01:04 as to babes in Christ. 01:05 I fed you with milk and not with solid food, 01:09 for until now you were not able to receive it, 01:12 and even now you are still not able, 01:14 for you are still carnal." 01:16 And then listen to what he lists here, 01:17 "For where there are envy, strife, divisions among you, 01:22 are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?" 01:26 So the defining factor must be our relationship 01:29 with the Holy Spirit. 01:31 Carnal describes a person 01:33 who lives by normal human strength, 01:35 not by the Holy Spirit. 01:37 Paul addressed the carnal people as brethren, 01:41 listen, which shows 01:42 they were likely church members, 01:45 but he couldn't call them spiritual 01:46 because they didn't show proof 01:48 of being filled with the Holy Spirit. 01:50 It's frightening to think that one can be a church member 01:54 for many years and still be a carnal Christian. 01:57 To have biblical knowledge 01:59 and still not be spiritually mature. 02:03 How about you? 02:05 Do you have a personal relationship 02:06 with Jesus, and a living connection 02:08 with the Holy Spirit? 02:10 Or are you a carnal Christian? 02:13 Well, good news is that you have 02:15 the possibility of a new life starting right now. 02:18 Jesus invites you to rest in the solid hope 02:22 of eternal life and daily living in His Spirit. 02:28 Beautiful Lord Wonderful Savior 02:34 I know for sure All of my days 02:39 Are held in Your Hands 02:42 Crafted into 02:45 Your perfect plan 02:51 You gently called me into Your presence 02:57 Guiding me by 03:00 Your Holy Spirit 03:03 Teach me Dear Lord 03:06 To live all of my life 03:09 Through Your eyes 03:15 I'm Captured By Your holy calling 03:20 Set me apart 03:22 I know You're drawing me to Yourself 03:29 Lead me Lord, I pray 03:36 Make this your prayer. 03:38 Lord, take me, mold me 03:44 Use me, fill me 03:49 I give my life 03:52 To the Potter's hand 03:58 Hold me, guide me 04:03 Lord, lead me, 04:05 walk beside me 04:09 I give my life 04:12 To the Potter's hand 04:22 Let's pray. 04:23 JD? 04:25 Father, we certainly come to You in the name of Jesus. 04:28 And, Father, oh Father, what a wonderful gift it is. 04:32 Lord, for life itself. 04:34 And, Father, we do ask that You will lead, 04:37 guide, direct each one of us. 04:38 Father, we do give You permission to mold us 04:42 into being all that we can be. 04:44 For, Father, we certainly know that without You, 04:47 we can do nothing. 04:49 So, Father, just lead us, mold us, You are the potter, 04:55 we are the clay. 04:57 We surrender to that. 05:01 God bless us, Lord, in the name of Jesus. 05:04 Amen. 05:07 So many needs are called in 05:13 to our pastoral department at 3ABN. 05:18 We want to encourage you if you have a need to call us, 05:23 because someone wants to pray with you. 05:27 Someone reminds us of... 05:32 a friend who is incarcerated, 05:34 but their sentence is almost through 05:39 and the... 05:41 Lord, we know that... 05:44 those who have been in prison 05:45 for most of their lives... 05:48 with the opportunity of being released, 05:52 how would have maybe a frightening thought 05:54 that can be. 05:57 God, I pray that You would please 06:00 wrap Your arms around them. 06:01 Let them know, Father, 06:03 that you care and that there are people 06:05 who care as... 06:09 these men and women come back into normal society. 06:15 Father, I pray that you would give us hearts to receive them. 06:20 Lord, we've all needed a second chance 06:22 and a third chance and, Father, 06:24 a fourth chance and a millionth chance. 06:26 God, You have been the one 06:28 who has given each of us... 06:30 that one more opportunity 06:33 to turn our lives around and live for You. 06:36 So, Father, I pray... 06:39 for these who are coming back into society, 06:43 that You would be their guide 06:48 and be their strength... 06:51 in Jesus' name. 06:54 Father, we certainly know that there's many people 06:56 that are sick and tired of being sick and tired. 06:58 That's right. 06:59 They're ready for a change in their life. 07:03 Father, give them the holy boldness 07:06 to step out in faith, Lord, and to accept Your hand. 07:11 Father, Your extended hand comes down to us 07:13 and, Father, if we would just have 07:15 the courage to lift our hand up and grab Yours. 07:19 Father, our lives will be changed. 07:23 We want to be free of the enemy, dear Father. 07:28 We certainly know that he's not going to give up 07:31 but, Father, You tell us, a greater is he that is in us 07:33 than he that is in this world. 07:35 We stand on that promise, Lord. 07:38 So, Father, 07:40 we pray that every good and perfect thing from you... 07:43 that we will realize 07:45 that You have given us that gift. 07:47 And, Father, if you even have to put a ribbon on it, 07:50 so be it. 07:52 But, Father, the main thing 07:53 is that we will just release the things of yesteryear 07:57 and look forward to you. 07:59 Look forward. Lord. 08:01 to hand, going in hand in hand with You down life's road. 08:08 Lord, we know that there are parents 08:12 who are... 08:15 who have raised their children in church 08:18 in the knowledge of You and fear and admonition of You, 08:23 but those children may have turned away. 08:27 And what a grievous thing 08:30 it is to see Your child not following after You, God. 08:36 I pray for the parents that You would like yourself, 08:42 not give up, help us not to give up on our children, 08:45 but to continue to pray. 08:47 And, Father, we pray for that child 08:50 who is wandering. 08:53 Lord, we all wander 08:56 and I don't want to wander and I'm prone to wander, 08:59 but, God, I pray that 09:00 You would bind my wandering heart to Thee. 09:02 And I pray for these children 09:04 that You would bind their wandering hearts to You, 09:07 that You would turn them, turn their hearts back to You. 09:12 May they be reunited 09:14 with their parents in the faith, 09:16 but more importantly, may they be reunited with You 09:19 and walk and be bold... 09:22 in You, God. 09:26 Father, needless to say many, many need healing. 09:30 I know this week, Lord, we've received. 09:33 We've received calls, requests for those that are weak, 09:38 short of breath, they have severe back pain. 09:43 Maybe if their legs are hurting them, 09:45 maybe it's their big toe that's hurting them, Lord. 09:48 Father, perhaps they're just worn out. 09:51 But, Father, they know that You are their savior. 09:56 We know that You're the master physician. 09:59 Father, in our own yard here, 10:03 Father, we have people that are calling out Your name. 10:06 Father, just today, we had one of our good friends, Larry, 10:09 who was in the middle of doing one of his responsibilities 10:13 and he just found himself shaking. 10:17 Father, Larry's been here for many years, 10:18 he loves You, he's given his heart to You. 10:22 And, Father, he continues to get up 10:24 and fight the good battle. 10:26 So, Father, just didn't know the big things in life, 10:29 the little things of life, Lord, 10:32 we just hand them over to You. 10:35 If anything, Lord, increase our faith, 10:37 our strength, our wisdom, our humility. 10:41 We want to be more Christ-like. 10:43 So, Father, once again accept what we're giving to You 10:50 and impress upon our hearts and our minds, Lord, 10:53 that You are busy taking care of each one of us. 10:59 Lord, where would we be without You? 11:01 Thank You so much for caring. 11:05 Thank You for living Your life through me. 11:09 Thank You for Your Holy Spirit. 11:13 I bless you, Lord. 11:14 And, Lord, I know that there are marriages, 11:16 people who are watching... 11:20 who are struggling in their marriage 11:21 and their relationship with their spouse, 11:25 Father, whatever the reason may be, 11:28 Lord, You know and... 11:30 You know that they need help... 11:35 possibly those who are even going through counseling. 11:41 Lord, I ask in Jesus' name that You would give us hearts 11:44 to love one another, to serve one another. 11:51 And if it be a difference in... 11:56 beliefs and religious beliefs, 11:58 God, I ask in Jesus' name that... 12:01 You would show yourself to be the only way. 12:08 Father, You are the only way. 12:11 So I just ask that... 12:14 eyes will be opened... 12:17 and that marriages will be restored ... 12:21 and the families will be reunited. 12:26 We thank You, Father. 12:29 And, Father, we certainly lift up and ask that 12:32 the Holy Spirit will be with those millions of people 12:35 that are in Asia, 12:36 the millions of people 12:38 that are on every continent, Lord. 12:40 Father, we ask specifically 12:41 that You will take care of the Christian ministries 12:43 that are out there. 12:45 Father, doing the very best that they can do 12:47 with what they've got to work with. 12:49 And, Father, especially right now 12:51 with this worldwide pandemic 12:53 attacking in every different direction. 12:58 We just know, Lord, 13:00 that we will just continue to call out Your name. 13:03 And, Father, that You will continue 13:04 to be there to assist us in our times of need. 13:08 Again, Lord, just be with all that call upon Your name. 13:12 Father, we're weak, we need You. 13:15 Please, Lord, please exchange Your strength for our weakness. 13:20 We ask this in Jesus' name. 13:24 Lord, lead me 13:28 Walk beside me 13:33 I give my life to 13:37 The Potter's hand 13:42 Give your life to Him, friend, 13:44 and come and join us tomorrow as we pray. |
