00:13 Hi, and thank you for joining us
00:14 for 10 Days of Prayer. 00:15 We're on day seven. 00:17 And my friend JD Quinn and I 00:19 are here to remind you to pause to pray. 00:24 Are you familiar with the practice 00:25 of praying God's promises? 00:28 Just imagine prayers based on God's Word 00:30 and the power of recalling His promises 00:33 through your prayers. 00:34 In case you aren't familiar, 00:36 ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to a Bible promise 00:39 or command then pray those words back to God. 00:42 Our faith is strengthened 00:44 as we come to know His mind as never before. 00:47 Jesus said, "If you ask anything 00:48 in My name, I will do it." 00:50 1 John 5:14-15 tells us, 00:54 "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, 00:56 that if we ask anything according to His will, 00:59 He hears us. 01:00 And if we know that He hears us, 01:02 whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions 01:06 that we have asked of Him." 01:08 When we pray for something 01:10 that we know is according to God's will, 01:12 our prayers are answered by faith. 01:15 Jesus promises, "Therefore I say to you, 01:18 whatever things you ask when you pray, 01:20 believe that you receive them, and you will have them." 01:24 Imagine knowing that whatever you're going through, 01:27 someone is praying the Word of God over your situation. 01:31 That's the power of the Bible. 01:41 Give me the Bible When my heart is broken 01:46 When sin and grief Have filled my soul with fear 01:53 Give me the precious words By Jesus spoken 01:58 Hold up faith's lamp To show my Savior near 02:05 Give me the Bible Holy message shining 02:11 Thy light shall guide me 02:15 In the narrow way Precept and promise 02:21 Law and love combining 02:24 'Til night shall vanish 02:27 In eternal day 02:35 Give me the Bible All my steps enlighten 02:40 Teach me the danger Of these realms below 02:46 That lamp of safety O'er the gloom shall brighten 02:51 That light alone The path of peace can show 02:58 Give me the Bible Holy message shining 03:04 Thy light shall guide me 03:07 In the narrow way 03:10 Precept and promise 03:13 Law and love combining 03:17 'Til night shall vanish 03:20 In eternal day 03:27 That's a great old song, 03:30 Give me the Bible. 03:32 I love the fact that the Bible, 03:34 even as old as it is, the message is ever new. 03:37 Amen. 03:38 And I'm grateful that we have the freedom, 03:42 liberty to go to the Bible, 03:44 and to claim the promises in the Bible 03:47 and to pray the promises. 03:49 And what a marvelous joy to know that 03:55 we're reading God's Word back to Him. 03:57 It's not like He forgot about it. 03:58 He knows what there, that there in there, 04:01 but there confirmation that we know that there in there. 04:04 And we're just calling God to His promise. 04:07 Keep Your promise, God. 04:09 He's faithful. 04:10 I just absolutely think it's wonderful to know 04:12 that you're the parent. 04:14 And as you ask something of your child 04:16 that he replies back to you. 04:18 And that's basically what you're doing here 04:21 because that means that you're being attentive. 04:24 You respect your parents, and you just take from there. 04:27 Amen. Amen. 04:29 Why don't we go to the Lord in prayer? 04:30 Amen. 04:31 Father, as we come together today 04:33 in the name of Jesus. 04:35 Bible promises, Lord, Your character, Your words. 04:39 Father, that were inspiredly given to us. 04:42 And I want to thank You, Lord, 04:44 that we can be part of Your life, 04:46 Dear Father, by getting into Your Word. 04:49 And, Father, trust the Holy Spirit 04:51 as He makes it clear to us, 04:52 dear Father, so that we can share 04:54 what You've given us to others. 04:57 We love You. We thank You. 04:58 Give You all praise and glory 'cause only You deserve it, 05:01 Lord, in Your name, amen. 05:04 Father, I thank You that 05:06 You have put in the hearts of pastors 05:11 to surrender their lives to Your calling, 05:15 to commit their lives to the Word of God, 05:18 to lead people around this world 05:24 to draw closer to You. 05:27 We thank You, Father. 05:28 And we ask God that You would continue 05:30 to strengthen and grant revelation 05:34 and wisdom to preachers of the Word. 05:40 Father, the word certainly does not lack power. 05:44 So I ask God that You would equip 05:47 pastors and preachers, 05:48 evangelists, missionaries, teachers, 05:53 to be bold as they proclaim a bold word. 05:58 Thank You, Father, for Your holy word. 06:03 I'll read a couple here, Tim, that have been submitted to us. 06:08 You know, the Lord lacks it whenever we're specific. 06:12 You know, we can ask for things generally, 06:14 He's a major, major, major God, 06:18 He's bigger than everything that there is so 06:20 He can handle the big things, 06:22 but then I think that He likes the little things too, 06:24 the ones that pertain maybe to our loved ones, 06:28 but let me just share this. 06:29 A father of five children has been diagnosed with cancer. 06:33 Got another man here with cancer. 06:36 Floyd has cancer, he needs a miracle. 06:38 Laurie has cancer, she needs a miracle. 06:41 So good friend of my wife's that 40 years old. 06:45 In one week, 06:47 her whole upper torso was covered in cancer. 06:53 Wow. 06:54 Please remember Laurie. 06:56 Also, Velma has cancer and is in much pain. 07:00 And Keisha has breast cancer. 07:02 We asked to be with her. 07:05 Also, right now, I just want to mention this, 07:08 Tim, those that are needing protection 07:09 and healing that are recovering from COVID-19. 07:13 Those that are staring it in the face, 07:16 those that are out there, Lord, that are just scared, 07:19 not really knowing what to do, 07:20 not knowing whether this information 07:22 is right or wrong. 07:24 How does it pertain to them, but, Father, 07:26 as You've mentioned in two or three times, Tim, 07:29 the Holy Spirit is there to impress upon our hearts. 07:32 And so I know in my life, 07:35 He has certainly clarified a whole lot of things, 07:37 whenever I'll let Him lead, and get me out of the way. 07:41 So let me pray for these. 07:43 Father, as we come together, 07:44 we just want to once again thank You. 07:46 Lord, I know You never tire of hearing from us. 07:49 Father, we're Your children. 07:51 Father, You're our pattern. 07:53 And so, Father, as we just lift these people 07:55 that are just mentioned up to You and, Father, 07:57 there are so many millions of people around this world 08:01 that are in pain that are aching, 08:04 that are wondering about tomorrow, 08:06 maybe it's just whether 08:08 they're gonna even get a meal today. 08:09 Father, we're just lifting each one of these up to You. 08:12 Father, You certainly can handle 08:14 all those that call upon Your name, 08:17 all Lord that love You. 08:19 We just ask in Your name, Lord, the name of Jesus, 08:22 that name that's above all names, 08:24 that You will handle each one 08:26 according to Your will for Your glory. 08:29 Thank You, Lord. 08:34 Father, we thank You that You promise us deliverance... 08:39 deliverance from our addictions, 08:41 deliverance from the very grip of... 08:46 Satan himself... 08:49 because You wish that none to perish. 08:54 And so, Lord, I'm praying... 08:57 for those who need mental healing. 09:03 Father, a husband is praying for his wife 09:06 who needs deliverance and restoration back to you. 09:12 Someone needs deliverance from witchcraft, 09:14 and from yoga, from unforgiveness. 09:21 Someone needs deliverance from fear and anger and hurt. 09:27 He needs to be set free. 09:32 Father, these needs salvation. 09:36 We all need salvation. We need saved. 09:40 We need... 09:43 Jesus. 09:46 And a woman requests deliverance 09:48 from those at work 09:51 who are holding her down in life 09:55 spiritually and financially. 09:59 Lord, we're called to be active in life and in public. 10:04 Sometimes the very places that you call us to go 10:08 or the places that we're working 10:09 or that we're trying to be a light... 10:14 we find those places to be restrictive 10:17 and to be binding us. 10:20 And, God, we need Your healing 10:23 and we need Your deliverance. 10:27 Jesus, go with us, be with us, be our guide. 10:31 Holy Spirit, give us the words to say. 10:38 We need You. We need You. 10:42 Sometimes we just are concentrating on our backyard 10:45 it seems like, but we got some requests here. 10:48 Says, Lord, give us wisdom to reach the secular cultures 10:51 that have no interest in religion that's outside 10:53 the United States. 10:56 Says, let Your Holy Spirit break down the walls 10:59 that surround secular hearts. 11:01 Bless as we reach out to those people 11:03 that are enslaved by different types of adultery, 11:06 animalistic beliefs. 11:08 Help us to understand their worldview 11:09 and introduce them to a personal Savior. 11:13 It says, they're asking that the Holy Spirit will raise up 11:16 prayer warriors around the world 11:18 to pray as never before. 11:21 As we plead for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit. 11:25 Also, there's one here 11:27 that we pray for the Southern African 11:29 Indian Ocean region, 11:31 please lead them to biblical truth, 11:33 I will just like, Lord, 11:35 not only to the Southern African 11:37 Indian Ocean region, but around this world. 11:41 Father, You're the God of all, 11:43 not on the north, south, east, or west. 11:46 And Father, also that just, I just ask, Lord, 11:51 that You will impress upon us the practical things of life, 11:55 how to handle the spiritual needs 11:57 of different people, whether they're next door, 12:00 whether they're across town, whether they're across nation, 12:03 wherever they are, Lord. 12:05 And, Father, I just ask Lord, that we as a church, 12:09 that we will be known for being a people of love, 12:14 no matter who they are, or where they're coming from. 12:20 So, Father, just be with 12:22 each one of these requests that we've heard. 12:24 Father, we reach out to You because, Father, 12:27 You have that extended arm, You care for each one of us. 12:31 You love each one of us, Lord, You created us. 12:35 So, Father, as we lift up each person 12:37 that's mentioned here are part of that group 12:40 or whatever it may be, Lord, 12:42 that You will handle it according to Your will. 12:46 And, Father, You'll give us an understanding 12:49 that You're the one that's in charge 12:50 for our eternal benefit. 12:55 Wow, there's a lot of weighty, 12:58 weighty, heavy, heavy stuff there, right? 13:01 Heavy, heavy, heavy stuff. 13:02 I mean, it's just amazing how much people need Jesus. 13:05 They need an escape route. 13:07 And they really don't know exactly what to do. 13:10 They know that this I've mentioned before, 13:12 they're sick and tired of being sick and tired. 13:15 And I just challenge each one of you 13:17 if you're having these problems, 13:19 Lord, help me. 13:20 Just raise your hand and say, Jesus help me. 13:23 That's right. That's right. 13:25 Come to our rescue, Jesus. Amen. 13:26 Amen. Wow. 13:28 I encourage you to continue in a spirit of prayer. 13:33 And let the Holy Spirit guide your mind 13:35 to the needs of those around you. 13:38 If you're like me, there's plenty. 13:41 Come back again and join us for these 10 Days of Prayer. 13:43 God bless you. |
