00:13 Welcome back to day nine of 10 Days of Prayer,
00:17 where we are encouraging you to pause to pray. 00:20 I wanna thank my friend and coworker JD Quinn. 00:25 He works in pastoral and he is just a wonderful man. 00:28 And I love him for joining me on this journey. 00:32 And today he's joining us for his last day. 00:35 We have one more day after this 00:36 but, JD, thank you very much. 00:38 I love your heart. 00:39 And I love the ministry that you have, 00:41 and you were definitely created for good works, 00:44 like all of us are, 00:45 but you're clearly doing a wonderful job in pastoral. 00:49 Listen to this testimony of another man 00:51 created for good works. 00:53 A theology student from Austria was discouraged. 00:56 He had been invited to evangelize in Kenya, 00:59 but only 30 guests showed up each night 01:01 during the first week. 01:02 He had hoped for many more. 01:04 Frustrated, he locked himself in his room 01:06 and prayed for four hours, 01:08 spreading all his despair before God. 01:10 He surrendered himself with his entire being. 01:13 And he waited. 01:14 He was sure God had listened 01:17 though fears and doubts still troubled him. 01:20 But then came the evening meeting 01:22 and 600 people arrived. 01:24 Later he had 700, then a 1,000. 01:27 In the end 39 were baptized by God's grace. 01:32 Whenever we attempt great things for God, 01:34 we face a vital question. 01:36 Am I working for God with my own human abilities? 01:40 Or is God working through me with His divine abilities? 01:44 Ephesians 2:10 tells us 01:46 how strong God works through weak humans, 01:49 for we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus 01:52 for good works, 01:54 which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 01:59 Working for God is not by our might, 02:02 not by our power, 02:04 but it's by surrendering to Christ 02:06 and the Holy Spirit, 02:08 the moving of the Holy Spirit. 02:10 Even Jesus depended on His connection to heaven. 02:13 In John 14, Jesus tells His disciples, 02:16 "The words that I speak to you, 02:18 I don't speak on my own authority, 02:20 but the Father who dwells in me does the work." 02:23 The Apostle Paul made no bones about 02:25 how he was able to carry out his mission. 02:28 When he said, 02:29 "I have been crucified with Christ. 02:32 It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me." 02:36 So the key is total surrender 02:41 and staying in Christ. 02:44 God wants to do incredible things through you. 02:52 All to Jesus 02:56 I surrender 03:00 All to Him I freely give 03:06 I will ever love 03:11 And trust Him 03:14 In His presence 03:17 I will daily live 03:22 So I surrender all 03:29 I surrender all 03:36 All to Thee 03:39 My blessed Savior 03:44 I surrender all 03:54 JD, you wanna pray for us? Yes. 03:57 Father, we come again. 03:59 We just thank You, Lord, that You're Father God. 04:04 Father, that Jesus is our savior. 04:07 And so, Father, we just come to You. 04:09 This day we just wanna be emptied of self. 04:12 Empty us of me, Lord, fill me with You. 04:16 Father we do wanna surrender. 04:18 We want to be all that we can be 04:20 to be an ambassador for Your kingdom, 04:23 to draw others closer to You. 04:26 So, Father, as we've just dedicate this time to You 04:31 to help make a positive difference 04:32 in people's lives. 04:34 Once again, I still say empty me of me, Lord, 04:38 and fill me with You. 04:40 Amen. 04:43 Lord, thank You that 04:46 You created us to do good things 04:51 and not just good things, but godly things. 04:59 Help us to be faithful to that. 05:02 We are tools in Your hand 05:05 for the salvation 05:07 and the blessing of our neighbors. 05:10 We can do nothing on our own. 05:14 So I thank You for promising to use us 05:18 and to work through us. 05:21 Lord, I pray that You will bless our work 05:24 for Your glory 05:26 in Jesus' name. 05:30 You know, we have a couple of more prayer requests 05:34 that I'd like to read here, Tim. 05:37 What people may not know is that 05:39 we get requests from around this earth. 05:42 They come into 3ABN daily, it's a worldwide ministry. 05:46 And what I have found over the years that 05:49 maybe I think that I've got a leg ache. 05:52 Well, you know, there's people in China that have leg aches, 05:56 there's people in South Africa that have leg aches. 06:00 There're some things that we just, as a family of God 06:04 share a lot of the same aches. 06:06 And so, as the prayers come into us, 06:09 we can identify 06:11 and we just lift them up to our Lord, Jesus. 06:14 But let me go through some of them, 06:15 some of these will break your heart. 06:17 Healing for the virus, for healing and salvation. 06:21 I can just imagine who wrote this. 06:23 You could just see the tears running down their cheeks. 06:26 Lord, bless us 06:27 during this healing of this virus, 06:29 we don't know whether or not 06:31 we're gonna get through this or not. 06:32 We don't know of our past 14 days 06:34 of our before 14 days, 06:37 Father just help, 06:39 pray for harassing spirits 06:42 to be bound in my home and work. 06:44 Also, Lord, 06:46 please be with my finances to be debt free. 06:48 Pray for those with an eating disorder 06:51 and the negative impact, 06:52 physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. 06:55 I talked to a lady earlier today 06:58 and she had found out 06:59 that she had been diagnosed all these years 07:01 with this particular disease 07:03 that she could not identify with. 07:05 And she got this new diagnosis 07:07 and it made so much sense to her 07:09 because she could identify with that. 07:12 But part of it was getting on a better diet. 07:14 So this is very important to certain people, 07:17 having an eating disorder. 07:19 Pray for runaway and kidnapped children, 07:22 pray for their parents, pray for premature babies 07:25 for their lungs to develop, 07:26 to gain weight and protection from infection. 07:30 Pray to get out of debt. 07:33 Pray for my husband. 07:35 Pray for those recovering from COVID. 07:37 Pray for those in the hospital. 07:40 I'm gonna read one more, then we'll pray. 07:43 Pray for this couple that's getting married. 07:46 Purity in their lives 07:47 that Christ would break the chains of addiction. 07:50 As you can see here, we're going from A to Z. 07:55 We're not concentrating on one particular thing, 07:58 but like we said before, God is a big God. 08:02 And He has ears to hear. And He cares for us all. 08:05 Let's do pray. 08:07 Father, we come to You once again, 08:09 our hearts filled with joy 08:11 because we have a direction to go. 08:13 We have someone 08:14 that we can actually lift our petitions to, 08:18 and we just plead, Lord, please help us. 08:21 Whatever the situation may be, whether it's a baby, 08:25 whether it's an elderly person someplace in between, Lord, 08:29 we're all fighting different battles. 08:30 We all have a different journey. 08:33 But, Father, you're the one and only. 08:35 And so, Father, 08:36 we just lift each one of these requests up to you. 08:40 And, Father, we don't have to have a whole lot of words. 08:44 We can just merely raise our hand 08:46 and say Jesus, help. 08:48 And, Father, we know that that catches your attention 08:51 and I choose to believe, Lord, 08:53 that if it takes one angel to take care of that problem, 08:55 thank you, Jesus. 08:57 If it takes 10,000 angels to fix that problem, 09:00 thank you, Jesus. 09:02 All I know, Lord, is we just give it to You. 09:06 Thank you, God.
