00:59 Good evening and welcome to each of you.
01:01 I thought it only fitting tonight, since we're 01:04 going to be talking about the United States in Bible prophecy, 01:07 that we take a journey to somewhere in the United States. 01:11 Won't that be fair enough? 01:13 Will you fasten your seatbelts, then, while the lights go down. 01:16 We're going to leave, ladies and gentlemen, 01:18 from the state of Washington, from northwest Washington. 01:23 And we're going to make our way across the border 01:25 to our friendly neighbors up in British Columbia, Canada. 01:30 And that is the city of Vancouver. 01:32 I think, by the way, that it's one of the most lovely cities 01:34 in all the world. 01:36 And I've been a lot of places, seen a lot of faces. 01:38 Sounds like a country song, doesn't it. 01:41 I think it is. 01:43 In any event, I just think that it's a beautiful, 01:46 beautiful city, the city of Vancouver 01:48 British Columbia, Canada. 01:50 And it happens to be the birthplace of my 01:52 daughter-in-law, Brenda. 01:54 So that makes it special to me as well. 01:56 We're going to get around the Fraser River 01:59 center downtown and see some of the sites. 02:03 And then we'll move across over toward Stanley Park, 02:07 Prospect Point. 02:08 And if you've never been there, ladies and gentlemen, 02:11 you're in for such a treat, in the summer time particularly. 02:14 It's just remarkably beautiful. 02:17 There is just a little touch of it. 02:19 Here, the mountains rise up out of the blue waters 02:23 of the inlets of the Fraser River, the various branches. 02:27 And they're snowcapped in the background. 02:30 It's just really one of my favorite cities 02:32 in all of the world. 02:34 But we're going to go beyond, you and I. 02:36 We're going to fly from Vancouver up over the 02:40 Chugach Mountains and down into Anchorage, Alaska. 02:44 And then we'll move around up toward Denali Park 02:47 and we'll see what it looks like up there. 02:51 I have spend a good amount of time in Alaska, 02:54 working like I'm doing here. 02:56 I've held meetings in Anchorage and in Palmer and in Fairbanks, 03:00 and other places. 03:01 And it's been my happy privilege to do a lot of driving, in fact, 03:05 I think I've driven most all of the roads that are available 03:08 to drive in Alaska with, perhaps, the exception 03:10 of the ice road up to the north of Prudhoe Bay. 03:14 I haven't done that one. 03:16 Maybe someday. 03:17 By at any event, I've discovered that the folks who go 03:21 to Alaska are unique. 03:22 I mean the folks that go over there to stay. 03:24 Not just the tourists who go for a day or two, or a week, 03:27 or maybe go up to hunt. 03:29 But the folks who go there to stay are rugged individualists. 03:33 I think that's the best way to describe them. 03:35 And if they stay more than just a year or two or three, 03:39 they learn to do a variety of things because you just can't 03:43 call on someone to come out and fix a leaky pipe, 03:46 or to do the carpenter work, or to patch the roof, 03:50 or to bandage up someone's wound or some such thing. 03:54 They become independent and they love it up there 03:59 because of its freedom. 04:00 And I'm going to be talking to you, ladies and gentlemen, 04:03 during the lecture in just a little bit about the tragic loss 04:06 of freedoms all across the United States. 04:09 And that includes Alaska as well. 04:12 Here, we see a meadow filled with their fireweed, and the 04:17 Chugach Mountains in the summertime back behind. 04:20 The first time I went to Alaska, I took my son Troy with me. 04:25 I believe Troy was about 18 or 19 years of age at the time. 04:29 And I promised him that we would see a grizzly bear. 04:32 He'd never seen a grizzly bear before. 04:34 I said, "Son, we'll stay until we see a grizzly bear. " 04:39 And so we drove all around. 04:40 We drove way up around Fairbanks and we did the circle 04:44 back down to Valdez and we drove down toward the Kenai. 04:49 We never did see a grizzly bear. 04:51 And our money was gone and I said, "Son, I hate to break... 04:55 Well, I won't break my promise. " 04:57 I took him to the zoo. 05:00 Over there on O'Malley Road, I took him to the zoo and 05:03 we saw a couple of grizzly bears and then we had to come home. 05:06 But since then, I've, on several occasions, had the privilege 05:10 to see the grizzly bears, young and old, and big and small. 05:15 The largest ones are out on the Kodiak Island. 05:21 They say the largest 4-footed carnivore in all the world 05:24 is the big brown or griz bear out on Kodiak Island. 05:28 For a long while, I thought is was the polar bear. 05:30 But no, they say the griz that's out on the Kodiak 05:33 is bigger in average and in pounds. 05:36 That is, the Kodiak bear. 05:40 Well, you're apt to see moose and caribou and just about 05:44 anything that is imaginable. 05:46 And you'll also even see in the back country, dog sleds. 05:50 Well if you're there at the time of the Iditarod, 05:52 you'll see them in main street down in the city of Anchorage. 05:55 In fact, that's where they leave from for that 1100 mile race 05:59 out to Nome, Alaska. 06:02 And you know, of course, what it commemorates. 06:04 There was a terrible illness out in Nome amongst the gold miners 06:08 who were finding gold there in the sands where the Yukon 06:11 dumps into the northern seas up there. 06:15 And there was a terrible outbreak of influenza 06:17 and they needed to get medicine up there. 06:20 And so a dog sled made the first run and they go through the 06:24 little village Iditarod, and so the name. 06:27 And the dog sled race the Iditarod. 06:31 A few years ago, and this by the way, really 06:33 made Peggy feel good. 06:35 A few years ago, amongst the mushers and the dogs, 06:40 there was a poodle. 06:41 So help me. 06:43 She said, "See there. " 06:47 Well, beautiful, beautiful mountains. 06:49 Including the highest of all of the mountains 06:52 on the North American continent. 06:54 And that is, of course, Denali. 06:56 That's the native name. 06:58 It means, the tall one or the big one. 07:01 For many, many years, of course, it was referred to 07:04 generally as Mount McKinley, and sometimes still is. 07:07 No matter what you call it, it's 20,320 feet high. 07:13 That is quite a climb. 07:15 And there are pilots up there, bush pilots, that will fly you 07:19 in and land you right on a glacier on the side of that 07:23 mountain if you should so choose. 07:25 I did not so choose. 07:29 But the mountains are majestic, they're awesome and it's just 07:34 breathtaking country and it is so huge, you know. 07:37 They can say they got the last laugh on Texas because 07:41 Texans, for so long, bragged about how large their state was. 07:45 They say, "We can put a lot of Texas here in Alaska. " 07:49 Well, this is kind of a typical little out of town shelter 07:53 or little home. 07:55 And over here on the side, you see the little building 07:58 where they keep their meat. 08:00 And that's for the protection, largely, from the griz bear. 08:04 They'll put their things up in there and take the ladder down. 08:07 If they left the ladder, of course, the ole bear 08:09 will get in there. 08:11 He'd find a way. 08:12 I thought I use to have a lot of snow where I lived in Idaho, 08:15 but look at this. 08:17 Many of the folks have to dig a tunnel to get out, 08:21 out into their driveway or out to town. 08:25 In the fall of the year, there are so many 08:27 wonderful, wonderful colors. 08:30 And there is so much freedom, but there's a loss of freedom 08:33 here, as so many other places in the United States of America. 08:38 There, recently, was a book written that was turned into 08:44 an Oscar winning movie, or Oscar nominated, I believe 08:46 at least I'm correct in saying. 08:48 And it was called, Into The Wild. 08:50 You remember that story about this young man that 08:53 came from the lower US and wanted to kind of get away. 08:57 And he crossed this river and found an old abandoned 08:59 school bus and moved into it. 09:03 And then things froze up and he ran out of food and all. 09:07 And he died in there, but he wrote message to his family 09:12 on the wall in there. 09:14 And if you remember the end of the story, had he 09:17 just gone down the river, 3/4 of a mile there was a bridge. 09:21 He could have easily gotten out, but he didn't 09:24 know that, of course. 09:25 Say, there's a friendly looking guy right there. 09:27 I want to tell you about that picture. 09:30 I had friends who'd flown in from Alabama and they'd never 09:34 seen Alaska and they'd certainly seen a grizzly bear. 09:36 Not even in the zoo. 09:39 And so I took them, I was holding meetings in Fairbanks 09:42 and Peggy and I took them back in to Denali Park. 09:45 And we got on the bus that would take us to the end of the road. 09:48 It's a whole days trip, quite a journey. 09:51 And you'll see all kinds of the wildlife of Alaska. 09:55 And we had seen a grizzly bear but he was, I suppose, 09:59 an 8th of a mile away, quite a distance, and he was 10:01 kind of loping along. 10:03 And they said, "Well, I wish we could see one up close. 10:05 Wish we could see one up close. " 10:06 As we came back, we rounded the curve and the bus said, "Look. " 10:11 And at a cut bank, where the road cut through a hill, 10:16 lying up above and on the cut there was this huge 10:21 old male grizzly. 10:23 And so our guide, who was the bus driver said, 10:26 "Be very, very quiet. Be very quiet. 10:29 I'll drive right up next to him. " 10:33 And everyone had their windows down. 10:36 And there was a group of tourists from way out in the 10:38 far east, that I remember so very well. 10:40 And they were all going, they were saying things that I 10:42 couldn't understand, but excited I could tell that, you know. 10:45 And they all had their expensive cameras up like this 10:48 and the bus driver went right up till I believe we could have 10:53 reached out and touched this old boy. 10:56 And I don't know if someone spoke too loudly or what, but 10:59 suddenly he got up like that. 11:01 Yeah. 11:03 And those folks with their expensive cameras did 11:05 just like you did. 11:06 They jumped and sat down and I'm laughing about it still. 11:10 But he didn't threaten us really at all. 11:12 He just, I suppose, thought someone might have a lunch 11:15 to share with him. 11:17 Well, someone told me that even here a few evenings ago, 11:21 they saw the Northern Lights. 11:23 Did any of you here recently? 11:25 Yea, two or three of you are saying you did. 11:27 Well, I had seen them down here in the lower 48 on occasion, 11:31 but say that this place with the display of Aurora Borealis 11:36 up in Alaska is something else in the world. 11:40 I was in Palmer on this occasion hoping to see a real display 11:45 of the Northern Lights. 11:47 But one of the natives said, "Lately they've been coming on 11:52 after midnight and that's when they've been really 11:55 displaying clearly. " 11:56 I said, "If you see it again, call me. 12:00 Call me. " 12:02 And so I got a phone call from this man and he said, 12:05 "They're really out tonight. " 12:07 It may have been 1:30 or 2:00 o'clock in the morning. 12:09 But he said, "To really see them properly, you need to 12:13 get in your car and go north, get out of the city lights 12:17 and go up to the hill out of town, out of the city lights, 12:21 and then you'll have a good view. " 12:24 And so Peggy and I got up and got dressed and got awake. 12:27 And we got in the car and we went up to 12:30 see the Northern Lights. 12:31 They're something magical, really they are. 12:34 It's a wonderful, wonderful place, Alaska. 12:37 And it's yours, isn't it? 12:39 I want to thank you for traveling with me. 12:43 And now to our subject. 12:45 The United States in Bible Prophecy. 12:49 If we were to give it a subtitle, it might well go 12:51 something like this. 12:53 The coming dictatorship in America. 12:57 Having said that, I must now say this and say it clearly enough 13:01 that all can understand. 13:03 Lyle is a loyal American. 13:07 I have been to about 60 other countries of the world. 13:10 Perhaps more than that now, yes. 13:12 I've been everywhere, as the song goes, 13:14 but I want to tell you, there is no place that I have ever found 13:18 that comes anywhere near to these United States of America. 13:23 We have our problems, we're not perfect. 13:27 We have a long ways yet to go in certain areas of 13:30 fairness and equality. 13:31 But we've made great progress, 13:35 and we continue to do that by God's grace. 13:39 And I've discovered that the folks who throw rocks at us, 13:42 all nearly want to come and live here. 13:46 There's no place that I know of like the 13:48 United States of America. 13:50 So be assured I'm a loyal American. 13:52 While I'm a loyal American, I'm at the same time 13:54 a concerned American. 13:56 I'm concerned about a number of things, but mostly 13:59 our gradual loss of freedom. 14:01 It was Benjamin Franklin who said, "Those who give up 14:04 essential liberties to purchase a little temporary safety 14:07 deserve neither liberty or safety. " 14:12 Daniel Webster said, "God grants liberty only to those 14:16 who love it and are always ready to guard it and defend it. " 14:20 And I want to say to you, ladies and gentlemen tonight, 14:23 that our Lord Jesus taught that liberty is the heart 14:26 of the gospel of Himself. 14:28 It is at the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 14:30 For Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall 14:34 make you free. " 14:38 Patrick Henry, you remember, said, "Give me liberty 14:41 or give me death. " 14:45 To my hearts sorrow, it has come to my attention that 14:50 America is like a wheel, or a tire on a wheel, 14:54 upon my automobile that has got a lump in it. 14:57 We're a little out of balance. 15:00 And it seems that we're getting more out of balance nearly 15:02 every week, or every month for sure. 15:06 "The abuse of liberties," someone long ago said, 15:08 "causes the loss of liberty. " 15:10 And we have seen that become a reality before our very eyes. 15:13 We see folks break the law and abuse their liberties 15:16 and do this and this and this. 15:17 And pretty soon, there's a law that won't allow you to do 15:20 those kinds of things. 15:24 On the World News tonight, there were two items that I 15:27 want to bring to your attention. 15:29 Number one, there was the revelation that three 15:36 of our foremost politicians had their passport information 15:39 looked into illegally. 15:41 And then they went on to talk about easy it is to look into 15:44 anyone's passport information if someone chooses to 15:47 disobey the rules and the laws. 15:49 And then also in the World News tonight, there came the report 15:53 of what is now known as the REAL ID, 15:56 identity card or drivers license. 15:59 And I want to tell you something that happened to me 16:01 a few days ago. 16:03 I had a birthday, well that's not a big surprise. 16:06 Most old guys do from time to time 16:09 every two or three years. 16:12 And my driver's license expired and so I went in 16:16 to renew my license. 16:18 And I was not surprised when they said, "We need to take 16:21 your picture again. " 16:22 I know that I'm much better looking than I was 16:25 10 or 12 years ago when I got the last one. 16:28 But when I got the last one, they took my picture and then 16:30 in about 15 minutes, they handed me my driver's license 16:33 encased in a plastic container and ready to put in my wallet. 16:36 There was my permanent drivers license. 16:38 But not this time. 16:40 The lady in charge said, "We've taken your picture but your 16:43 license will be coming from Salem in just a few weeks. 16:47 It'll probably be there in about 6 weeks. " 16:49 And I said, "Really? What's happened?" 16:51 "Well," she said, "you're soon going to find out. " 16:53 Well I found out today, ladies and gentlemen. 16:55 By the end of May, every American is going to have 16:59 what is now called the REAL ID card. 17:03 And this has come about, of course, as a result of the treat 17:06 of terrorism and folks doing some naughty things 17:10 that might be prevented, or at least we hope to prevent 17:14 by having this ID card. 17:17 Now, I want to read you something. 17:19 This is back in the time of Ronald Reagan. 17:21 "As officials seek ways to account for possible 17:24 troublemakers, we're already hearing proposals for a 17:27 'national identity card. ' 17:29 The idea was floated recently during the Reagan administration 17:33 but it was rejected as too invasive of privacy. " 17:36 And what had happened was that congress had voted against 17:39 the thing because they said it takes away too many 17:41 of our liberties. 17:43 It gives too many folks too much access to some 17:47 private information. 17:48 And then came the dropping of the buildings of 9/11 17:51 and the world changed and we have lost more liberties, 17:54 ladies and gentlemen, since the 9/11 tragedy 17:57 than in the prior 200 years. 18:00 And this is one example. 18:02 Now the national identity card is here for all Americans. 18:05 And there are, by the way, in the World News tonight, 18:07 a couple of states that are holding out. 18:09 They're saying, "Our people don't like this idea. " 18:12 And the states have their rights not to go along if they choose. 18:15 And the federal government has said, "Alright, if you want to 18:18 go down that path then we'll cut off all your federal funds 18:21 for highways and bridges and all of the rest. " 18:26 Interesting. 18:28 Most interesting. 18:31 I want you, ladies and gentlemen please, to open your Bibles 18:34 if you will to Revelation chapter 13. 18:37 This of course, you recall is our homework assignment. 18:42 And I'm going to begin to read at the 11th verse for I 18:44 asked you, if you'll remember, to pay particular attention 18:48 to the last half of Revelation 13. 18:51 I'm going to take up the reading, if you please, 18:53 at verse 11. 18:56 Revelation chapter 13, verses 11 and following. 19:02 "I looked and I saw another beast coming up 19:05 out of the earth. 19:06 He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. 19:10 And he exercised all of the power of the first beast 19:13 that had been before him. 19:14 And he causes the earth and those that dwell therein to 19:16 worship that first beast whose deadly wound was now healed. 19:19 He does great wonders... " 19:21 "Miracles," say some translations. 19:24 "He does great wonders so that he makes fire to come down 19:26 from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 19:28 He deceives those that dwell upon the earth by the means 19:31 or the miracles which he has the power to do in 19:32 the sight of the beast. 19:34 And he says to those that live upon the earth 19:35 that they ought make an image to the beast 19:37 that received the deadly wound and yet did live. 19:40 He had power to give life to this image of the beast, 19:42 that the image of the beast should both speak and 19:44 cause as many as would not worship this image 19:47 that they should be killed. 19:48 And then he causes all, small and great, rich and poor, 19:51 free and bond, to receive a mark either in their right hand 19:54 or in their forehead, and no man could buy or sell 19:58 unless he have the mark or the name of the beast 20:00 or the number of his name. " 20:02 And the final verse, the 18th says, "Here is wisdom. 20:05 Let him that understands count the number of the beast 20:07 for it is the number of a man and that number is 666." 20:13 Here we have a beast. 20:15 The second beast of Revelation chapter 13. 20:17 And yet, in many ways it's different from the other. 20:20 This one comes up out of the earth. 20:23 And additionally, it has two horns and these horns 20:27 are lamb-like. 20:28 Now this second beast of Revelation 13 has a close 20:31 collaboration with, in fact I think fair to say a 20:34 conspiracy with, the first beast of Revelation 13, 20:38 the one that received the deadly wound that was healed, 20:40 and would be healed before Jesus would come back. 20:44 And this second power of Revelation 13, the second beast 20:47 if you please, forces those who are finally upon the earth 20:50 to worship the first beast whose deadly wound has been healed. 20:54 Now we want, once again, to briefly cover the 20:58 symbolism of a beast as it's used in Bible prophecy. 21:02 God never called a power a beast to be naughty, nasty, 21:07 or disrespectful, but He did it only for the purposes 21:10 of identification in the same way that we, today, if we're 21:13 talking about Russia refer to the bear, 21:16 and if we're talking about Great Britain we refer to the lion, 21:20 and here, the buffalo or the American bald eagle. 21:24 And so we have a symbolism here in the last half of 21:26 Revelation 13 of a power, a nation. 21:29 It's political in its power, we can certainly see that. 21:33 Two horns lamb-like, the great power at the end of time, 21:39 compels folks to worship that first beast that 21:42 received the deadly wound but whose wound would be healed. 21:45 just before Jesus comes back. 21:47 Now please, please follow carefully this next idea 21:51 because it's vital to the rest of our information sharing. 21:56 Before we can appreciate and understand the second beast 21:59 of Revelation 13 beginning at the 11th verse, 22:01 we must have a basic understanding of the first beast 22:05 because of this collaboration, this conspiracy, this collusion, 22:10 between the two. 22:13 Revelation chapter 13 and the first verses. 22:16 Here in vision, John describes this first beast. 22:19 "And this one comes up out of the sea and it has 22:22 seven heads and ten horns and upon his horns it has crowns 22:26 and it has the names of blasphemy. 22:28 It was like a leopard, it had the feet of a bear, 22:31 and it had the mouth of a lion. 22:32 The dragon gave him his power and seat and great authority. 22:35 And then I saw a head wounded as it were to death, 22:37 but that wound was healed. 22:39 And the whole world then followed after the beast and 22:42 they worshipped also the dragon who'd given him the power. 22:44 And they worshipped the beast saying unto him, 22:46 'Who is like unto him, who is able to make war against him?' 22:50 And there given to him a mouth that spoke great things 22:53 Power was given to him to continue for 42 months. " 22:56 Or 1260 years, as you remember we have studied 22:58 on many prior occasions. 23:01 "He opened his mouth and blasphemed against God 23:03 and blasphemed God's name and His tabernacle," 23:05 or His sanctuary service and all that went with it, 23:09 "and all those that dwell in heaven. 23:11 It was given unto him to make war against the saints 23:14 and to overcome them. 23:15 And power was given him over all kindred and 23:17 nations and tongues. " 23:20 This power claims to be God on earth, if you please, 23:23 and persecutes the saints and it blasphemes. 23:26 And the title of the pope in the Latin, Vicarius Filii Dei, 23:31 means the "Vicar of the Son of God" or 23:34 "one who sits in the place of the Son of God. " 23:37 Now, for those of you who have been coming quite regularly, 23:40 this will only just be a brief review. 23:43 But we've said on several prior occasions and have read from 23:45 many historians, this fact. 23:48 Every single reformer was unanimous in their belief 23:52 that the beast power of Revelation 13, 23:53 the little horn power of Daniel 7, 23:55 and the anti-christ spoken of by Jesus and Paul 23:58 was none other than the church of Rome. 24:00 It was this idea that caused Martin Luther to nail 95 theses 24:06 to the church door and begin to preach with great power. 24:10 All of the reformers were unanimous in this matter. 24:14 Now, 24:19 I want to talk to you about how the reformers 24:24 struck the first blow against this power. 24:28 They began to preach with great vigor; 24:31 Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox, John Huss, 24:35 Latimer, Ridley, Cranmer, and a host of others, 24:39 that the church of Rome was the beast power, 24:41 it was the little horn power of Daniel 7:25, 24:44 and it was the anti-christ system. 24:46 And they were persuasive and they had Bible prophecy 24:48 to back them up. 24:50 The woman that sits upon the seven hills. 24:52 The woman that is dressed in purple and scarlet color. 24:54 And had we the opportunity here, which we didn't 24:57 on this occasion, I might have put on the screen 25:00 about a dozen pictures of the funeral service of 25:03 Pope John Paul II. 25:05 And there were the bishops and there were the cardinals, 25:07 and the bishops were all in purple color 25:09 and the cardinals were all in scarlet color. 25:12 And it reminded me of reading out of Revelation 25:14 chapters 13 and 14. 25:16 A woman or a church sits on seven hills. 25:18 The seven hills of the city of Rome, it's still today known 25:22 as the city of seven hills. 25:23 And a woman dressed in purple and scarlet color. 25:26 And so with this for background, these reformers; 25:29 Luther, Calvin, Knox, these Catholic priests 25:31 began to preach that the church of Rome, because of its 25:34 great movement away from God's word and God's truth 25:36 and God's gospel, was the beast power of Revelation 25:41 and the little horn power of Daniel. 25:42 And Catholic peoples began to leave the Catholic church 25:47 like rats disembarking a sinking ship. 25:51 This wound that was inflicted continued to grow and fester 25:56 and begin to bleed and hemorrhage. 26:01 And then there came the French Revolution. 26:04 And before the little dictator of all of the world 26:09 went over to take the pope captive, there was a decree 26:13 against every leader, in France I'm speaking now, 26:17 there was a decree against every leader of the 26:19 Roman Catholic church and 70% of the Roman Catholic 26:23 priests were martyred. 26:25 And by the way, I'm not suggesting this was right. 26:27 It was terrible and it was wrong. 26:29 And almost 100% of all of the nuns in the nation of France 26:34 were killed and the nation of France has never recovered. 26:37 The church of Rome which was prominent and prevalent 26:40 up until this time has never, never regained its power. 26:44 And the nation of France by and large, is, I suppose 26:50 to be kind, atheistic. 26:53 Now, Napoleon then sends Berthier over to Rome 26:59 inside the Vatican, takes the pope captive, and says 27:02 there will never be another pope. 27:04 And it looked for sure that the Catholic church 27:07 was going to die. 27:08 There, for 3 years, was no pope in Rome. 27:11 There was one over in Avignon who claimed to be the pope, 27:15 but there was no pope in Rome. 27:16 But the Bible prophecy said the deadly wound would be healed. 27:20 The United States of America, if you know any of our history, 27:24 was founded in order to escape the tyranny of Rome, 27:27 the influences of the church of Rome as it had spread across 27:31 the face of Europe. 27:32 Now, we're going to transition and I'm going to give you, 27:35 ladies and gentlemen, five reasons for believing 27:38 that the second beast of Revelation 13, 27:40 that one that's described in verses 11 and following, 27:44 is the United States of America. 27:46 I want you to notice verse 10, if you will please, 27:49 of Revelation 13. 27:51 Revelation 13, reading verse 10. 27:54 "He that leads into captivity shall go himself into captivity, 27:59 he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. 28:02 Here is the patience of the saints. " 28:05 Now this is talking about the power described in the 28:07 first verses of Revelation 13, the power that we believe 28:10 rightly as Protestants to be the church of Rome. 28:14 He that has taken captives will himself go into captivity. 28:19 Let's review briefly then. 28:21 1798, Napoleon Bonaparte has the pope taken captive. 28:26 Now mark it down, if not in your Bibles certainly in your minds 28:29 and in your notes, 1798. 28:32 Now it says in the 11th verse, "Now I see another beast. " 28:37 And I want you to see the time connect here because 28:39 it is vital in its import. 28:41 At the time of the captivity, now John in vision, sees 28:45 another power rising up. 28:48 What do we give as the birth date of the Unites States? 28:50 What? 28:52 1776 28:54 This happened in 1798. 28:56 In 1798, ladies and gentlemen, the Unites States of America 28:59 was still in its infancy. 29:01 We were still in our birth pangs as a nation. 29:04 We had not yet arrived at the banks of the muddy Mississippi. 29:08 And so the time of arrival. 29:10 Clue number one, as we search for this second beast 29:13 of Revelation to believe that it's the United States. 29:15 Clue number one certainly fits the clue of the 29:18 time of the arrival. 29:20 "I saw another beast," another nation, "rising up. " 29:28 Clue number two, the clue of location. 29:32 When we look for the mark of the beast and the mystery of Babylon 29:36 we found their clues of location. 29:38 And as we look tonight for the United States in Bible prophecy, 29:43 we shall again find a clue of location. 29:46 So this is clue number two, the clue of location. 29:50 All of the other beasts of Revelation, or of Daniel largely 29:55 for that matter, the other nations symbolized by beasts, 29:59 came up out of the, out of the water, out of the sea. 30:04 This one does not, this one is different. 30:06 This one comes up out of the earth. 30:10 Now in Revelation chapter 17 and verse 15, 30:13 and I want you to mark it down. 30:14 We don't have time... well let's do, let's take the time. 30:17 It's really very important. 30:18 Let's go over to chapter 17 and we'll read the 15th verse. 30:21 Revelation chapter 17 and verse 15. 30:25 Here it is. 30:28 "He said to me, 'The waters which you saw where the 30:31 whore sitteth are peoples and multitudes and 30:34 nations and tongues. '" 30:36 And all of the other beasts of Revelation and Daniel 30:40 came up out of the sea. 30:41 That means they came up where there had been another 30:44 nation prior to them. 30:45 Maybe they threw over the one, the government 30:47 that was there ahead of them, had preceded them. 30:49 And this one then is very, very different. 30:53 This one comes up out of the earth where there was 30:56 not a prior nation. 30:57 Someone once said to me, "Well, I have kind of an objection 31:00 to that whole idea that the United States came up 31:02 where there was never another. 31:04 What about the Native American?" 31:05 Well, a couple of things very briefly. 31:08 There are far, far more Native Americans here now 31:11 than when Columbus came over here, 31:14 or when in 1776, we became a nation. 31:17 And more than that, the Native Americans were really not 31:21 organized into one nation, were they now. 31:23 Oh there was a Sioux tribe and there was this tribe 31:26 and that tribe and the Coosan tribe. 31:28 But they were not organized together. 31:31 And so, this one is unique. 31:33 It arises up out of the earth where there'd never been another 31:37 power or nation here prior to it. 31:40 Clue number three. 31:41 Clue number three really asks a question. 31:44 What kind of a power will this be? 31:46 This new nation, what kind of an organization is it 31:51 going to have? 31:52 Well, I want you to notice once more the symbolism. 31:55 It says about this new nation of Revelation 13, the last half, 31:59 that it has two horns. 32:02 Now the first verses that we read from Revelation 13, 32:06 the beast had seven heads and ten horns. 32:08 And each of those horns had something on it. 32:10 What was it, what did they have? 32:11 The same thing back in Daniel. 32:13 Each horn had a crown upon it. 32:15 Bu this one is different. 32:17 It has two horns but it does not have a crown 32:19 upon the Head of State. 32:22 In other words, this nation will not be ruled over by a king 32:25 or a queen. 32:27 There will be no crown upon the Head of State. 32:30 And then that brings us automatically to number 4 32:34 Clue number four. 32:35 Not only will it not have a crown on the Head of State, 32:37 it will not have a crown on the head of the church. 32:40 It will not be ruled over by the pope or any such thing. 32:43 There will be a separation of church and state. 32:46 And I believe, by the way, that it was that separation 32:49 of church and state that made this country the great country 32:52 that it was to become. 32:54 And so clue number three, there is no crown 32:58 on the Head of State. 32:59 And number four, there is no crown upon the head of church. 33:02 Not ruled over by a king or a queen, not ruled over by a pope 33:06 or any such thing as that. 33:08 Number five. 33:10 Number five, this new power says, "Let us make an image, 33:15 let us make a likeness, let us make a repeat. " 33:19 We've said on so many occasions when we've studied the book of 33:22 Revelation that it is written in symbols. 33:27 Not in most places to be taken literally, but certainly here 33:31 it's speaking of symbols. 33:33 Some have written and suggested that down in the southwest 33:37 deserts there is going to be erected a great monument 33:41 one day, perhaps in just a few months or years. 33:45 And that perhaps a special rail will be made there, 33:47 or perhaps there will be a special airport built 33:51 and the American peoples in groups will be flown there 33:55 or taken there by bus or by train. 33:57 And the trumpet blows and everyone has to bow down 34:00 before this great statue. 34:02 And then after they have bowed and after the blowing of the 34:05 trumpet, someone comes along and asks, 34:07 "Where do you want your mark now? 34:08 Do you want your computer chip embedded in your forehead 34:11 or in your hand?" 34:13 "Where do you want your laser beam tattoo?" 34:15 No, God is speaking here symbolically. 34:19 But this power that we believe to be the Unites States 34:22 is going to be a repeat, it's going to be a likeness of 34:27 that power that was here before it. 34:29 Now before we move further, let's make quickly a review 34:33 of the 5 reasons for believing that the Unites States 34:36 of America is the second beast of Revelation chapter 13. 34:39 Number one, the time of the arrival. 34:41 That when the pope was taken captive in 1798 34:44 the United States was still in it's birth pangs, number one. 34:46 Number two, the location. 34:48 This one comes up out of the earth, not out of the sea, 34:51 not where there'd been nations or peoples, 34:54 languages before it. 34:55 But comes up out of the earth where it was 34:59 new real estate, if you please. 35:00 And then number three, it will not be ruled over by a king. 35:03 And number four, it will not be ruled over by 35:06 the church or the pope. 35:07 And number five, it will make an image. 35:10 It will make a repeat. 35:12 Now I want to talk about the future of the 35:17 United States of America and our existence as a nation 35:23 and as a people. 35:24 Often, in the last few years particularly, folks have 35:28 come to me and asked, "Lyle, what do you think 35:30 is going to happen? 35:31 Does the Bible make any suggestion? 35:33 The Chinese are flexing their muscles and the 35:35 North Koreans have the bomb. 35:37 And maybe the Chinese are going to get together with 35:39 the Russians and they're going to knock us over 35:42 and plow us under and we're going to go down. " 35:46 Ladies and gentlemen, there's not the slightest hint 35:49 in any prophecy, certainly not this one that I believe 35:51 deals directly with the United States, not the slightest 35:54 hint that this nation is ever going to be taken 35:57 by an outside force. 35:59 It's going to be the great super power when Jesus comes back. 36:04 Now that may be another sign that He's going to 36:06 have to hurry back. 36:08 Huh, how about that? 36:09 25 years ago, I had to preach this passage by faith. 36:13 Why? Because there were two great world super powers. 36:16 There were two, the United States and the Soviet Union. 36:19 And we had hundreds and hundreds of missiles 36:21 pointed at one another. 36:22 And both had great armies. 36:24 And many said it would be a stand-off, it would be a 36:26 total annihilation of the United States. 36:29 But it was Mr. Gorbachev who, at the time of the gulf war 36:35 initiated by President George Herbert W. Bush, 36:39 it was Gorbachev who said, at the time we were dropping 36:43 guided missiles down chimneys into exact locations, 36:50 Mr. Gorbachev said, "Surely now the whole world can see 36:54 that there is only one super power, 36:59 and that's the United States. " 37:03 Now there comes a valid question at this juncture. 37:07 Why, why would God ever mention a nation in Bible prophecy? 37:14 Why? 37:16 Well I want to leave at least two ideas in your minds. 37:20 Number one, He would mention a nation in Bible prophecy 37:23 because of the world wide influence of that nation. 37:27 Not upon its own peoples only, but of the peoples of other 37:31 nations and tribes. 37:33 Would the United States count in that regard? 37:36 Have we had an influence over the rest of the world? 37:39 Look at the great world wars. 37:41 Look at the finances that the peoples of the United States 37:44 have sent here and there and all around the world to 37:47 rebuild and to remake and redo. 37:48 And look at how the American Bible Society has tried to 37:51 spread the gospel to the whole world and influence folks 37:54 in favor of Jesus and His truths. 37:57 And so the United States certainly qualifies 37:59 on this count, it's world wide influence. 38:01 And number two then, it's impact upon the people and 38:05 the work of God. 38:07 And again, the idea of sending Bibles. 38:10 But not only that, the United States has sent more 38:13 missionaries to the rest of the world than any one other 38:15 single country in all of the history of Christianity. 38:19 There has never been another quite like us. 38:23 And so the United States qualifies in these two areas, 38:25 it seems to me. 38:27 Its worldwide political influence, and its impact 38:29 upon the people of God and the work of God. 38:32 Now, let's talk about the power then of the 38:36 United States of America in the last days. 38:40 And I want us to go back for a little bit of review of that 38:43 first beast we believe to be the power of the church of Rome. 38:46 And we're going to read at verse 7. 38:48 Revelation 13 verse 7. 38:51 After this power has opened its mouth to blasphemy God 38:54 and to denigrate the tabernacle service, 38:57 where by the way Jesus was offered once for all, you know. 39:01 You read in the book of Hebrews, He shed His blood, 39:03 He spilled His blood once for all. 39:05 But the church of Rome says, "No, we sacrifice Him 39:07 in every Mass. " 39:09 And that's why it's called the Sacrifice of the Mass. 39:12 And that's why at every Mass celebration, when the chalice 39:17 which holds the host, or those little bits of bread 39:20 and water comingled together and baked, 39:23 called the Host in the Catholic church. 39:25 And as soon as those words are spoken, always primarily 39:30 in the Latin, "hoc est corpus meum," 39:32 but now in the vernacular, the language of the people 39:35 wherever they are found, "this is my body. " 39:37 And in Roman Catholic theology, as soon as those words are 39:40 spoken, those little bits of bread and water are turned 39:43 into the very absolute real body of Jesus. 39:47 And folks are made holy and made worthy by eating Christ. 39:55 And that's a reference then to the desecration of 39:58 God's tabernacle where the symbolism, the little lamb 40:02 that would be sacrificed once for all. 40:05 But the church says, "No, we sacrifice Jesus 40:07 in every single Mass. " 40:15 It says then in verse 7, power was given to this institution, 40:20 we believe to be the church, to make war against the saints, 40:23 to overcome them. 40:25 Power was given them over all kindred and 40:27 tongues and nations. 40:30 The church of Rome ruled the world, largely, for 1260 years. 40:34 And we have said that over and over and over again. 40:36 Up until the time of King Henry VIII, 40:39 of Great Britain, and by the way, he didn't make his break 40:41 with the church over a disagreement regarding 40:44 theology, particularly. 40:46 But rather it was his desire, his relentless desire, 40:51 to have a male heir. 40:53 And the church said, "No, we're not going to allow you 40:55 to divorce that wife. " 40:56 "Alright, I'll kill her. " 40:57 And when the next wife couldn't produce one, then he went 41:00 a step further and a step further. 41:01 And finally, he broke with the Roman Catholic Church 41:04 and the Anglican Church was born with the king or queen 41:10 as the head of the church, not the pope. 41:12 But two crowns, the one on the Head of State 41:16 is the same as the one on the head of the church. 41:18 And so we see then this second beast power that we believe 41:22 to be the United States exercising all the power 41:25 of the first beast there before it. 41:27 We ought to read that from verse 12. 41:31 "He exercises all of the power of the first beast that was 41:33 before him and he causes the earth and those that dwell 41:35 therein to worship that first beast whose deadly wound 41:38 has been healed. " 41:40 Now please listen to this next idea very carefully because 41:44 it is so vitally important. 41:45 Every time, underline it, without exception every time 41:49 God has mentioned a nation in Bible prophecy, 41:52 whether it's here in Revelation or back in Daniel or elsewhere, 41:55 that nation has ultimately rejected the truths of God 41:58 and begun to persecute the people of God. 42:01 That's what happened in Babylon, that's what happened in Persia, 42:04 that's what happened in Egypt, that's what happened in Rome. 42:07 And the prophecy says, that's what's going to happen here. 42:10 The symbolism of this second beast of Revelation 13, 42:14 whom we believe to be the United States, 42:15 is that it is lamb-like. 42:17 And we refer to ourselves often, don't we, 42:20 as the Christian nation. 42:22 Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. 42:26 The Christian nation. 42:28 It looks lamb-like on the outside, but on the inside 42:33 it has the voice and the command of the devil himself. 42:37 Speaks with the voice of a dragon and the dragon power. 42:40 Moreover then, it's clear that there is a conspiracy 42:43 between the United States and the church of Rome 42:45 and her Protestant daughters in a united effort 42:50 to control the world. 42:52 So I'm going to begin now to share with you some evidence 42:56 of the healing of the wound and of the mission of the 42:59 United States to reunite with the forces of Rome 43:03 to control the world and to bring an end to terrorism. 43:06 And again let me remind you that the world changed after 9/11. 43:11 We live now in a completely and totally different world. 43:14 I want to take your minds, firstly now, to a man by the 43:17 name of General Tommy Franks. 43:19 You remember Tommy Franks who led our soldiers against 43:23 Saddam Hussein in 2003? 43:28 Not very long ago, months only, he was interviewed by 43:33 the magazine called, "Cigar Aficionado. " 43:36 Now I'm not promoting the magazine, but I do want to 43:39 refer to the interview here. 43:40 If you want to go and look it up on the web, this is from 43:43 Volume 12 Number 1. 43:45 Volume 12 Number 1, Cigar Aficionado. 43:48 Now listen carefully. 43:51 Tommy Franks. 43:54 "In the event of a major terrorist attack, 43:57 we could lose the freedoms and the liberties of 200 years. 44:02 The potential of war, a war of mass destruction with 44:08 massive casualty producing events, either in the 44:11 United States or in the Western world, will cause 44:15 the population of the United States 44:17 to question our constitution, to militarize our country, 44:22 and undo and unravel the fabric of our constitution. " 44:31 Several years ago, a young man who I knew more than personally, 44:38 was attending a major military school. 44:43 He graduated from college with the highest of honors, 44:47 four point plus plus, 44:50 and was gladly accepted to this major military school. 44:56 I'm not going to give you the name of it. 44:58 And of course, not the name of the young man. 45:01 He finished a year there at the top of his class. 45:06 And then suddenly, without warning, he was home. 45:12 "What's going on," I asked. 45:15 He said, "I quit. " 45:16 "What? You had such a bright military future. 45:19 You would have gone right to the top. 45:22 You would have hardly had room on the uniform for the 45:23 ribbons and the metals. What?" 45:27 "Yes," he said, "I quit and I'll tell you why. " 45:31 He said, "All we students entering into the advanced 45:35 courses were commanded to take an oath, swear an oath, 45:40 that if necessary we would turn our guns and our mortars 45:46 upon the United States citizens. " 45:48 And he said, "I refused to do it and I had to quit. " 45:53 We think about freedoms here in the United States 45:55 and well, if we don't like it, we'll vote against it. 45:58 Look, back in the time of our then President Mr. Nixon, 46:02 there were given certain executive orders and 46:05 I want to read just 2 or 3 of them to you 46:07 passed by the government. 46:08 It says that at anytime of national emergency; 46:13 security, military, financial, or otherwise. 46:16 In other words, if the banks are about to fail, 46:18 or if there's a military threat, or if the buildings are blown up 46:22 our President can put these things in to order 46:25 without anyone's permission. 46:27 He just makes up his mind. 46:28 Number one, he seizes all communication media in 46:30 the United States. 46:32 Freedom of the press? No, no. 46:33 I was working in Oklahoma City when that thing was 46:35 going on in Waco, Texas. 46:37 And there were news folks from Oklahoma City 46:40 that were down there and they gave their report every night. 46:43 And they said, "They'll not allow us with our cameras 46:46 to get nearer than 2 miles. " 46:49 No freedom of the press. 46:51 The seizure of all electrical power and fuels and minerals 46:53 and other public services. 46:55 The seizure of all food supply and resources, 46:57 public and private, farms and farm equipment. 46:59 The seizure of all transportation, including 47:01 personal trucks and vehicles of every kind. 47:03 The seizure of all American peoples for workforces 47:05 under Federal supervision, including the splitting up of 47:07 families if the government finds it necessary. 47:10 The seizure of all health and education welfare, 47:13 both public and private. 47:14 Empowering the Postmaster General to register all 47:16 men, women, and children in the United States. 47:18 And of course, that has now happened. 47:26 For 150 years, ladies and gentlemen, 47:30 we had not in either house of our government, 47:34 a Roman Catholic. 47:36 Now I don't know if that was the result of prejudice, 47:38 I don't know if it was because... I don't know. 47:42 And that's really not my point tonight. 47:43 I hope it was not a result of prejudice. 47:46 But it was not until the 1930's that the United States elected 47:49 its Senator who was a Roman Catholic. 47:55 It took another 15 years before there was a second 47:58 Roman Catholic that was put into the halls of Congress. 48:04 Today, ladies and gentlemen, there are 127... 48:12 Wait a minute, I'm incorrect here and I want to be correct. 48:16 There are 157 Roman Catholics in both houses. 48:20 In addition, there are 5 Orthodox which are very similar. 48:24 And this is an article, by the way, from a church source. 48:26 Not mine or yours probably. 48:29 Amongst the Orthodox, and then it goes on to say 48:31 many Episcopalians who also have similar views 48:33 for a total of about 175 of the legislators. 48:38 157 are Roman Catholic. 48:41 Then we come to the Supreme Court. 48:44 In the Supreme Court, we now have 5 of the 9 justices 48:49 that are Roman Catholic. 48:50 We have the Speaker of the House. 48:52 And we go on and on and on and on. 48:56 Things have changed. 48:57 I'm going to read you, quickly, Rome's challenge. 48:59 This is a quotation from the church of Rome. 49:02 "When the time comes and men realize the social edifice 49:05 must be rebuilt, the Catholic church will make obligatory 49:08 the observance of Sunday on behalf of the whole of society 49:11 and for its own good, revoking the permit of free-thinkers 49:13 or Jews to celebrate Monday or Saturday 49:15 or any other day on their own account. " 49:21 Here's one. 49:25 Pope Benedict, that's the present pope, 49:26 ladies and gentlemen. 49:28 Pope Benedict. 49:30 By the way, he was the theological advisor of 49:32 Pope John Paul II. 49:34 And the dictums and the enforcements that 49:38 Pope John Paul II made and put out ex cathedra, 49:42 we understand now, were written, put together 49:45 by the present pope. 49:47 And so I want to read you this. 49:48 "Pope John Paul II issued a stern warning against Catholics 49:52 that they should set aside Sunday for worship and not 49:55 errands or other things involving just their free time. 49:59 He used his weekly address from his window above St. Peter's 50:02 to urge church members to make time to keep the 'Sabbath' holy. 50:06 And the Vatican is expected to issue an apostolic letter 50:10 from the pope further stressing the importance of keeping 50:13 this commandment. " 50:15 Now listen to this. 50:17 "Cardinal O'Conner, New York City, has stated in a political 50:20 address that Roman Catholics who are in public office 50:24 risk excommunication if they do not vote according to the 50:28 teachings of the Catholic church. " 50:30 Now a Protestant hears that and has no idea what it means. 50:33 What does that mean, excommunication? 50:35 "Well that just means they'll kick you out of the church. " 50:36 No, no, no. 50:39 Catholics are taught, and I studied Roman Catholic theology 50:42 as I've told you, at Notre Dame University. 50:44 Catholics are taught that salvation comes, largely, 50:47 by eating the Host. 50:48 And excommunication means cut off from eating from 50:52 the communion table. 50:53 And when they're cut off from that, they're damned 50:55 even beyond purgatory. 50:57 Not even allowed to go to the place of purging, 50:59 but damned to the fires of hell. 51:00 Now you take a serious Catholic and tell him, 51:03 "If you don't vote along with the church in regard to abortion 51:06 or Sunday observance, you're going to be cut off. " 51:09 And he's going to think very seriously. 51:11 And he's going to act according to the way he's been brought up 51:15 from a child. 51:17 Now let me read you something that happened during the time 51:20 of President Clinton. 51:21 Now this isn't ancient history, is it huh. 51:24 There was a lady by the name of Janet Reno, who was our 51:26 highest lawmaker in the United States. 51:29 And this is from 60 Minutes program, if you want 51:32 to look it up, from June 26, 1999. 51:35 Listen to this. 51:36 "Occultist," this is a quotation from Janet Reno. 51:40 "Occultist is one who has a strong belief in the Bible, 51:44 in the second coming of Jesus Christ, 51:46 who frequently attends Bible studies, 51:48 who has a high level of financial giving 51:51 to a Christian cause, someone who often home schools 51:53 their own children, who's accumulated survival foods, 51:56 and has a strong belief in the second amendment, 51:58 and distrusts big government. " 52:01 humph 52:05 Well, say. 52:07 That may mean more than one or two. 52:11 Huh. 52:13 US News and World Report, M.G. Pat Robertson, 700 club. 52:16 Alright. 52:20 Talking about the sleeping American vote, he said, 52:27 "Born again Christians, of whom there are 30 million Protestants 52:30 and morally conservative Roman Catholics of whom there are 52:32 many, many other millions, together with a few million 52:35 Mormons and Orthodox Jews and others, 52:37 have a potential to come to a number of nearly 60 million. " 52:44 And then he goes onto say, "Counting Catholics and 52:48 Protestants, we have enough votes to run this country. 52:51 And when the people say, 'We've had enough,' 52:53 we're going to take it over. " 52:54 And this is one of the authors of that joining together 52:59 of Catholics and Protestants that we talked about 53:01 on another evening. 53:02 I was over in Salem and I read that report not very long ago, 53:05 and a man coming to my meetings who'd been sending 53:07 Pat Robertson a lot of money, wrote to him. 53:09 He said that he was shocked to hear this. 53:10 And he said, "I'm going to write to him, I'm going to complain. " 53:13 And he did. 53:14 And Pat Robertson wrote him back and I have the original 53:18 right here in my hand. 53:19 He says, "Thank you, sir. " I'll not give the name. 53:21 "Thank you for the opportunity to share with you concerning my 53:23 participation in the statement of evangelicals and Catholics 53:26 together, the Christian mission for the third millennium. 53:29 Obviously, there are very many differences within 53:32 Christian faiths, between Jews and Christians, 53:34 and Protestant and Catholics. 53:36 But, it is my heartfelt belief that our common enemies 53:39 are now so virulent that we must lay aside our certain 53:43 differences and join hands in support upon these things 53:48 upon which we do agree. " 53:49 My favorite writer outside the Bible, 150 years ago said that 53:52 Catholics and Protestants would reach across the 53:54 gulf to join hands. 53:57 That exact same phrase. 54:00 Here's one for you. 54:02 Urging the strict observance of Sunday, Pope Benedict 54:06 behind this letter and telling the Catholic leadership 54:09 that they have to observe Sunday and have to vote to enforce 54:12 others to do so. 54:13 My friend, and more than a friend, went down to 54:18 South America a while back to hold some meetings 54:21 very much like these. 54:22 And there were several thousand folks who were baptized 54:25 at the end of his meetings. 54:27 And I want to read to you a little bit about what 54:29 happened there. 54:31 At the 31st National Conference of Bishops in Brazil, 54:36 the bishops said, and I'm quoting, 54:39 "We will declare a holy war. 54:41 The Catholic church has a ponderous structure 54:44 and when we move, we'll smash everyone beneath us. " 54:47 They were talking about what was happening with folks 54:50 like my friend who were holding meetings, teaching folks 54:54 that the Sabbath is Saturday and Jesus is coming back. 54:57 Here's an apostolic letter, ladies and gentlemen. 54:59 It's also from South America. 55:01 And I want to read a verse or two, or a word or two, 55:05 from it to you because I feel the necessity of it. 55:11 A document, at the suggestion of the holy father 55:14 and his successor. 55:18 "We will not tolerate the keeping of any other day 55:21 by any other religion except Sunday. 55:24 We will not tolerate any belief in the keeping of another day 55:27 that is in accordance even with the Bible except it 55:31 goes by the holy tradition of liturgy. 55:33 We cannot and will not tolerate Jews, Sabbatizers, Adventist, 55:36 or any other sect that does not keep the Lord's Day, Sunday. 55:40 We will not tolerate those who seek to understand or accept 55:43 precepts that are not outlined by the holy father, the Pope, 55:47 in regards to the Lord's resurrection, Sunday. " 55:50 And on and on and on. 55:52 It goes on to mention by name some folks that you may know. 55:57 Well. 56:06 "Well when it all comes down, I'll do what's right. 56:08 If I see these things begin to happen, I'll get on board 56:10 and I'll do what's right. " 56:11 It's here folks. It's too late. 56:15 Choose you this day. 56:20 Someone said to the old prophet, Jeremiah, 56:23 "If you can't keep ahead of your enemies 56:26 when you're on horseback, what are you going to do 56:29 when they come after you and you are on foot?" 56:34 What makes us think that suddenly we're going to 56:36 have the spiritual strength to stand for God and keep 56:39 His commandments when someone has a gun at the head of our 56:43 children or our grandchildren? 56:45 I beg you once more, do what's right now 56:49 for the prophecies are almost all fulfilled. 56:52 We're going to see that further even tomorrow morning. 56:54 For now, thank you for your patience and let me pray. 56:58 Lord Jesus, tonight we see the urgency of the hour, 57:02 we see the times in which we live, we know we're in 57:04 the very last days. 57:07 And we see this prophecy of Revelation 13, 57:09 the joining together of Catholics and Protestants, 57:12 and governments enforcing the wishes of the church. 57:16 We want to stand true for You today and tomorrow 57:20 and in the future and always. 57:21 We want a part of Your kingdom. 57:22 By the way, dear hearts, tonight if your heart feels like mine, 57:26 if you feel a need for greater courage and greater strength 57:29 now to do what God asks, if you want a closer relationship 57:34 with Jesus, I wonder if you would like to join me in just 57:38 raising your hand to Jesus tonight. 57:40 He knows your hand, He knows your heart. 57:42 Of course, every hand is up. Every hand. 57:44 God bless all of you. 57:46 Lord, tonight give us what we need. 57:49 Grant to us more and better and we know how to 57:51 ask for ourselves. 57:53 And answer our prayers, because we always pray 57:56 in Jesus' holy name. Amen. |
