00:37 Our message tonight is entitled
00:39 "Super Powers of Bible Prophecy." 00:43 This evening we're gonna look at the key super powers 00:46 that God's prophetic word reveals to us. 00:50 You see, friends, history tells the story 00:53 of Ancient Empires whose military might 00:56 and political power has shaped the destiny of our world. 01:01 But we're gonna see from God's word tonight 01:04 that these empires were written on the pages of prophecy 01:08 long before it was ever written on the pages of history. 01:11 Testifying to the reality that God knows the future. 01:16 God tells the truth 01:18 and we can trust His prophetic words. 01:21 And we're gonna find more evidence tonight 01:24 of why we can believe in the Bible. 01:27 We learn on a previous night, 01:30 that each and every one of us are in the midst of a war. 01:33 A supernatural battle, a great controversy, 01:35 a conflict between the forces of good 01:38 and the forces of evil, it's a spiritual war 01:41 that is fought in the battlefield of this world 01:43 especially in the minds of individuals. 01:47 And as students of Bible Prophecy, 01:49 it is utmost importance for us 01:51 to understand the nature of the two principles 01:55 that are contending for supremacy. 01:58 The two kingdoms that are warring against each other, 02:01 it's important for us to know the nature of the two, 02:04 so that we might make an intelligent decision 02:06 to be on the winning side 02:09 and to align ourselves with the winning kingdom. 02:11 Can you say amen? Amen. 02:13 And so I want you to take your Bible with me 02:14 and go to the Book of Revelation. 02:16 Revelation 13:1, its says, 02:19 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, 02:21 and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, 02:23 having seven heads and ten." 02:25 What? Horns. 02:27 "Horns, and upon his horns ten crowns 02:29 and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 02:31 And the beast which I saw was like unto a." What? 02:34 "Leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, 02:38 and his mouth, the mouth of a lion 02:40 and the dragon gave him his power 02:42 and his seat and great authority." 02:44 Now turn up with me to Daniel 7:1. 02:50 We find Daniel the prophet 02:52 saw the same symbols 02:54 that John the revelator saw 02:56 in describing the composite beast kingdom. 02:59 Notice with me Daniel 7:1 the Bible says 03:01 "In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, 03:04 Daniel had a dream 03:06 and visions of his head up on his bead 03:08 and he broke the dream 03:09 and told the sum of the matters." 03:11 Verse 2, "Daniel spake 03:12 and said, I saw in my vision by night, 03:14 and, behold, the four winds of the heaven 03:16 strove upon the great." What? 03:18 "Sea and four great beasts came up from the sea, 03:23 diverse or different one from another." 03:25 Here we find the prophet Daniel 03:28 during the time of the rein of Babylon 03:30 he has a prophetic vision 03:31 and in his vision he sees a windy seascape. 03:35 He sees four beasts, 03:36 four animals rise up from the ocean, 03:39 from the waters different from one another. 03:42 What exactly does this mean? 03:43 Well, friends, I'm so thankful that 03:44 we don't have to guess 03:46 because the Bible is its own interpreter. 03:49 Can you say amen? 03:50 I want us to notice what these symbols represent 03:52 and I hope you'll write them down very quickly, 03:54 for the sake of time I want to let you look at up 03:55 when you get home. But please write it down. 03:58 What does the sea or the waters represent 04:00 in the Bible prophecy? 04:01 According, to Revelation 17:15 04:04 "the sea is a symbol of multitudes of people." 04:09 That speaks multitudes of different languages. 04:12 Now the wind in prophecy is a symbol of war, 04:15 strife, destruction, desolation 04:18 according to Proverbs 1:27. 04:21 And then beast in Bible prophecy 04:23 as we mentioned simply represent kings 04:26 and their kingdoms 04:27 and you can find that in the Book of Daniel 7:17 and 23. 04:31 In fact, let's read it since we're right there. 04:33 Notice Daniel 7:17. 04:35 The Bible says "These great beasts, 04:38 which are four, are four kings, 04:41 which shall arise out of the earth." 04:42 And then jumping down to verse 23, 04:44 "Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be 04:47 the fourth kingdom upon the earth." 04:48 And so we find that in prophecy 04:50 a beast is a symbol of a king and its kingdom. 04:53 And we do the same thing today, don't we? 04:55 We like a nations to that animals. 04:57 What is the beast or the animal 04:59 that is a symbol of the United States of America? 05:02 The body go, right? 05:03 And so this is what God is doing in this passage, 05:05 He's likening nations to that of beasts. 05:08 And so as Daniel sees this windy seascape 05:11 and then four beast rise up, what it simply means, 05:14 is that there is a multitude of people 05:16 that are warring against each other 05:18 and not of the wars rise up four empires of prophecy. 05:22 These are the super powers 05:24 that would rein from Daniels day 05:26 to the last days. 05:28 And, friends, God is the greatest teacher. 05:30 Can you say amen? 05:31 And one of the greatest methods of teachings 05:34 is to repeat or review and enlarge 05:38 or to give more details. 05:40 And as you study Bible prophecy 05:42 you find God as the greatest teacher 05:44 in the universe 05:46 using this very important principle of teaching. 05:49 He reviews something 05:50 and then later on He repeats the same thing, 05:53 but then He gives more details enlarging up on it. 05:56 Its call the repeat and enlarge principle. 05:58 What is the principle called? 06:00 Repeat and enlarge and so these four beast 06:02 that we're gonna look at this evening, 06:04 these four kingdoms God is simply repeating 06:06 and enlarging on what He has already reviewed 06:09 in the second chapter of the Book of Daniel. 06:11 Remember we studied last night 06:13 about the strange man made of different medals. 06:16 How many medals were there specifically? 06:18 Four medals and each medal represent a different kingdom. 06:22 And these four medals on the image of Daniel 2 06:25 are parallel with the four beasts 06:27 that is described in Daniel 7. 06:30 God is simply repeating the same kingdoms 06:32 and He's enlarging upon it giving more details 06:35 because God is the greatest teacher. 06:37 And let's see if you can remember 06:39 what the four kingdoms were without looking on the screen? 06:42 The head of gold represented the kingdom of Babylon. 06:45 The chest and arms of silver represents, Medo Persia. 06:48 The belly and thighs of brass 06:49 represents Greece long legs of iron is Rome. 06:53 And then the feet with the ten toes 06:54 part of iron and clay represent 06:56 divided Rome or divided Europe 06:59 and these four beasts represent the same thing. 07:02 But let's go through them together 07:03 as we continue our study tonight. 07:05 We're going now, Daniel 7 07:08 and by the way these four kingdoms the lion, bear, 07:13 leopard and the terrible looking beast with ten horns. 07:16 Set the foundational characteristics 07:19 for the last antichrist super power 07:22 that we read about in Revelation 13. 07:24 Remember the beast in Revelation 13 07:26 that the dragon empowered to make war with the saints, 07:29 it have the mouth of the lion, the feet of a bear, 07:32 body of a leopard who had ten horns. 07:33 Well, friends, these four beasts 07:35 that we're gonna look at in Daniel 7, 07:37 laid the foundational characteristics 07:40 for this end time super power. 07:42 And so in order for us to understand 07:44 the characteristics of that final super power 07:47 the antichrist beast kingdom in the last days, 07:49 we first have to understand these foundational beasts 07:51 to have a correct understanding. 07:53 Are you with me, yes or no? 07:55 So now let's go through them together, shall we? 07:57 The first beast was like a lion that had eagle's wings. 08:00 Let's read it now in verse 4. 08:02 The Bible says "The first was like a lion, 08:04 and had eagle's wings. 08:06 I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, 08:07 and it was lifted up from the earth, 08:09 and made stand upon the feet as a man, 08:11 and a man's heart was given to it." 08:13 This lion with eagle's wings 08:15 that are standing upon its feet, 08:17 it is parallel with the head of goad 08:19 of the image of Daniel 2, 08:21 representing the golden kingdom of Babylon. 08:24 In fact, the Bible even tells us in Jeremiah 50:43-44, 08:29 that Babylon was likening unto a lion. 08:32 Notice what it says, Jeremiah 50:43-44. 08:35 It says that "The king of Babylon 08:37 shall come up as a lion." 08:41 And so this lion with eagle's wings 08:43 represents the first kingdom in our study tonight, 08:45 the Babylonian Empire. 08:47 This was the empire that was ruling during Daniels time. 08:51 And the Bible says that this lion 08:52 has two wings upon its back. 08:54 Now what do wings represent in Bible prophecy? 08:57 We don't have to guess 08:58 because the Bible explains itself. 09:00 In the Book of Habakkuk 1:6-8. 09:03 "Wings in Bible prophecy represents speed and conquest." 09:08 And so this lion has two wings, 09:10 it was the symbol of the spirit of conquest 09:12 and the speed that the Babylonians had 09:15 in conquering the entire then known world 09:17 during this time period. 09:18 And that's why it has two wings on the back of it. 09:21 And in fact I want you to notice 09:22 what it says in the Book of Jeremiah 50:17. 09:26 The Bible tells us 09:27 "That Israel is the scattered sheep, 09:30 the lions, have driven him away." 09:33 Who had Israel away? The lions. 09:35 This Nebuchadnezzar, 09:37 King of Babylon have broken his bones. 09:41 So we find that Babylon is like unto a lion 09:43 and it was this kingdom that rocked 09:46 havoc against the Jewish nation, 09:48 the nation of Israel. 09:50 If you remember this is the description 09:52 when the Babylonians came and they destroyed Jerusalem. 09:55 They destroyed the walls and the streets 09:57 and the holy sanctuary 09:58 and they slew many of the Hebrews 10:00 and took many of them as slaves in captivity 10:03 and that's why you find Daniel as he's writing this prophecy, 10:06 he's in Babylon, the Israelites have been enslaved 10:09 and brought into captivity by the lion, 10:12 the lion had scattered the sheep, 10:14 the Israelite nation. 10:15 Now, friends, if that makes sense 10:17 would you please say amen? Amen. 10:19 But here is the question now, what was one of the main 10:22 principle characteristics of Babylon? 10:25 In other words, what was Babylon known by? 10:28 What was the lion like? 10:29 I want you to notice the attitude 10:31 of King Nebuchadnezzar, the lion kingdom. 10:33 In Daniel 4:30, the king spoke 10:36 and said, "Is not this great Babylon 10:39 that I have built for the house of the kingdom 10:43 by the might of my power, 10:46 and for the honor of my majesty." 10:49 Here we find the attitude of the king. 10:51 And the attitude of the Babylonians 10:52 was that they were very proud. 10:54 Isn't that right? This is my kingdom I did this. 10:57 Me, my, I, I. 10:59 Babylon, brothers and sisters, 11:01 was known for being a very proud 11:04 and a very rich kingdom. 11:07 And so when we read in Revelation 13 11:10 that the antichrist beast has the mouth of a lion, 11:12 it's because they demonstrate the same pride 11:15 and the same riches that Babylon display. 11:19 The composite beast the antichrist, 11:21 displays the pride and the riches of Babylon. 11:24 It is a very proud kingdom 11:26 that it's known for having lots of wealth. 11:28 But the Bible tells us that pride goes before a fall. 11:33 And that's the reason why this kingdom, 11:34 the Babylonian kingdom did not last forever. 11:37 Daniel saw that this lion who had two wings is said that 11:40 the wings were "plucked" from the lion. 11:43 Now if the wings represent speed in conquest, 11:45 the plucking of the wings simply represent that its power, 11:48 the spirit of conquest that it once had would be 11:51 stripped from it as it would be overcome 11:54 by another beast power or another kingdom. 11:56 History tells us that the Babylonian empire ruled 11:59 from 605 to 539 BC. 12:03 And then Daniel saw another beast 12:05 rise up out of the sea after that. 12:07 Let's take a look at the second beast now in verse 5. 12:11 The Bible tells us that this second beast was like a bear. 12:14 Notice what it says. Daniel 7:5. 12:17 "I behold another beast, a second, like unto a bear, 12:21 and it raised up itself on one side, 12:23 and it had three ribs in the mouth of it 12:24 between the teeth of it, and they said thus unto it, 12:27 Arise, and devour much flesh." 12:30 Here we find, brothers and sisters, 12:31 that this bear raised upon one side 12:33 is of the parallel kingdom to the chest 12:36 and arms of silver in the image of Daniel 2 12:40 representing the kingdom that would follow 12:41 the Babylonian kingdom 12:43 which is none other than the Medo Persian Empire. 12:47 And in the prophecy, Daniel saw the bear 12:49 raised up on one side 12:51 symbolizing an imbalance of power. 12:53 And the reason why it's because they had-- 12:55 there was two kingdoms that had to unite together 12:59 in order to overcome battle. 13:00 The Medes and Persians were two separate kingdoms that united 13:04 and amongst the two the Persians were stronger than the Medes 13:08 and that is symbolized 13:10 as the bear raised upon one side an imbalance of power. 13:14 But what was the principle characteristic 13:16 of the Medo Persian Empire? 13:18 You remember in the Book of Esther, 13:20 the Persians were reigning during this time period. 13:23 And you remember in Esther 3:13, 13:26 there was a man whose name was Haman 13:29 that influenced the king of Persia 13:31 to pass a law to persecute 13:35 or to eradicate the people of God. 13:37 Do you remember that story? 13:39 Haman influenced the king and the king passed the law 13:41 that could not be changed, it could not be revoked, 13:44 it was a persecuting law. 13:46 This is one of the principle characteristics 13:48 of the Persian Empire passing laws 13:50 to persecute the people of God. 13:52 And, friends, in the Revelation 13, 13:54 this composite antichrist beast, 13:56 it has the feet of a bear 13:57 because it demonstrates that same characteristic. 14:00 Here is the antichrist kingdom that will pass laws 14:03 to persecute the people of God 14:07 making the war with the women 14:08 and trying to destroy the saints of God. 14:11 And, friends, if that makes sense 14:12 would you please say amen? Amen. 14:14 And, friends, history tells us 14:16 that the chest and arms of silver, 14:17 the bear raised up on one side 14:19 with three ribs in the mouth of it. 14:20 The Medo Persian Empire reined from 539 to 331 BC, 14:26 then after that Daniel saw a third beast 14:28 raised up out of the sea. 14:29 Let's read it now, this beast is like a leopard. 14:32 Notice what it says in verse 6. 14:34 The Bible says, " After this I beheld, 14:37 and lo another, like a" What? 14:40 "A leopard, which had on the back of it" 14:43 how many wings? Four wings of a fowl." 14:46 The beast also had how many heads? 14:49 "Four heads and dominion was given unto it." 14:52 So we find that this third beast 14:54 which is a leopard with four heads and four wings, 14:57 its parallel with the belly 14:58 and thighs of brass on the image of Daniel 2, 15:01 representing the third kingdom following the Persian Empire 15:04 which is none other than the which empire? 15:07 The Grecian Empire under the rulership 15:09 of Alexander the Great. 15:11 And, friends, this beast the leopard 15:14 is naturally a fast beast 15:16 related to the cheetah and the cats. 15:18 It's fast to begin with 15:19 but then when he put four wings on the back of it, 15:22 that's super speed. Can you say Amen? 15:24 You see the lion only had two wings, 15:26 but the leopard has four wings. 15:28 And these four wings represents super speed 15:31 and super conquest was a fit description 15:33 of Alexander the Great 15:35 rapid conquest of the then known world 15:38 in the short span of about 12 years 15:40 they were able to conquer the entire then known world 15:43 becoming the superpower of the day. 15:45 It's none other than the Grecian Empire, friends. 15:48 The Bible tells us that this leopard, 15:50 the Grecian Empire, now only had four wings, 15:53 but it had how many heads? Four heads. 15:55 Well, what do the four heads represent? 15:57 But, friends, you remember history tells us 15:59 that just two years after taking possession of the whole world, 16:03 Alexander the Great died. 16:04 He couldn't conquer him his own bad habits. 16:07 He died in a drunken stupor, 16:09 but he appointed no heir for his throne. 16:12 And there was not one military leader. 16:14 There was charismatic enough 16:16 to fill his shoes and his infant-tot son 16:18 was too young to take the thrown. 16:19 And so after Alexander the Great died, 16:22 the Grecian Empire was divided in four territories symbolized 16:27 by the four heads upon the leopard. 16:29 And these four territories were taken by the four generals 16:33 of the Alexander the Greats army. 16:35 They are known in history as Cassander, 16:37 Lysimachus, Ptolemy and Seleucus. 16:40 Friends, it's interesting, 16:41 God said with accuracy, with detail. 16:45 What would happen to the empires of history 16:49 through prophecy before it even happen? 16:51 And history tells us that just as God said it, 16:53 it happened exactly as He had said it. 16:56 Friends, can we trust the Bible, yes or no? 16:58 Absolutely yes, it's amazing, amen. 17:01 But what was one of the cheap characteristics 17:03 of the leopard beast there, the Grecian empire? 17:06 Friends, you study history you will notice 17:08 that the Greeks were known 17:10 for popularizing pagan philosophy 17:14 and human reasoning to the entire 17:17 then known ancient world. 17:19 And when you go to Revelation 13, 17:20 you describe that or you talk-- 17:22 we talk about that antichrist beast kingdom, 17:24 the composite beast. 17:25 It looks like a leopard why because it demonstrates 17:28 the same human reasoning and philosophies 17:31 that the Grecian Empire demonstrated. 17:33 The antichrist kingdom will teach 17:35 the same pagan philosophies of Greece. 17:40 And that's why it looks like a leopard in Revelation 13. 17:44 History tells us that the Grecian Empire 17:46 ruled from 331 to 168 BC. 17:51 After that the next super power would come upon the scene, 17:54 the 4th beast, that it's described 17:56 in verse 7 of Daniel 7. 17:58 Notice with me, Daniel 7 now verse 7. 18:02 The Bible says, "After this I saw in the night visions, 18:06 and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, 18:11 and strong exceedingly, it had great." 18:13 What kind of teeth? 18:15 "Iron teeth, it devoured and brake in pieces, 18:18 and stamped the residue with the feet of it, 18:20 it was diverse from all the beasts 18:21 that were before it, and it had." 18:24 How many horns? 18:25 So this fourth beast that has iron teeth 18:28 and ten horns is parallel with the long legs 18:31 that were made of iron on the image of the Daniel 2. 18:35 The beast has iron teeth, the image is made of iron, 18:38 it represents the fourth kingdom, 18:40 representing or that is none other than 18:43 the iron monarchy of Rome. 18:45 Rome is the kingdom that followed the Grecian Empire. 18:48 And the Bible tells us that this beast is a terrible beast. 18:52 And I believe that the reason 18:54 why it's some out of a nondescript beast 18:57 that is not like into any known animals today. 19:00 It's a terrible beast 19:02 its because the Roman kingdom were masters of cruelty. 19:07 It was very terrible kingdom, friends. 19:09 This was the kingdom that Jesus was born into. 19:12 Remember, when Jesus came into the world 19:14 the Roman Empire the fourth beast 19:16 was reining during that time. 19:17 The Romans destroyed all of their opposition, 19:20 they were masters of cruelty. 19:22 And one of the chief characteristics 19:23 of the Roman Empire the fourth terrible beast 19:27 was not only that they were very cruel, 19:29 but the seizures, the emperors 19:32 were known for commanding people to worship them. 19:35 And so the antichrist beast kingdom in Revelation 13 19:39 has the ten horns just like this beast 19:42 because they demonstrate the same characteristics, 19:44 we're gonna see on our feature night 19:45 that the antichrist beast power 19:47 commands people to worship him. 19:52 Are you with me, yes or no? 19:54 And so we find that this final superpower of the last day 19:58 has the same characteristics of Babylon, 20:00 Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. 20:03 And history tells us that of the four Rome, 20:06 ruled the longest. 20:07 From 168 BC to 476 AD, 20:11 that's when the Roman Empire fell-apart. 20:14 Now what would happen after the fourth beast? 20:17 Was there a fifth beast that would reign, 20:19 yes or no? No. 20:20 The Bible says that out of the fourth beast, 20:23 ten horns rouse from it. 20:26 And, friends, these ten horns that are upon the fourth beast-- 20:29 And, friends, remind me what is the fourth beast again? 20:33 Rome. The fourth beast is Rome. 20:35 And so from the Roman kingdom arose ten horns. 20:39 And, friends, these ten horns 20:41 are parallel to the ten toes on the image of Daniel 2. 20:47 And remember what the ten toes represent? 20:49 It represents the fact that Rome 20:51 was not overcome by a fifth empire, 20:54 but Rome was divided into ten different kingdoms. 20:59 The Bible even tells us what the ten horns represent. 21:02 In Daniel 7:24, its says, 21:04 "And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten." 21:06 What? "Kings that shall arise." 21:09 And so we find just as the Bible said, 21:12 history makes clear 21:14 that Rome was not overcome by a fifth empire. 21:16 But rather barbarian's tribes came from the north 21:19 and from different areas and began to conquer 21:21 different parts of the vast Roman Empire 21:25 and just as the ten toes on the image 21:27 and ten horns out of the beast, 21:29 the Roman Kingdom was divided into ten. 21:32 The Alamanni who were the modern Germans. 21:34 The Burgundians were the Swiss. The Franks were the French. 21:37 The Lombards were the Italians. 21:39 The Anglo Saxons were the English. 21:40 Suevi who were the Portuguese. 21:42 The Visigoths were the Spanish and then you have the Heruli, 21:45 Vandals and Ostrogoths 21:46 nations that existed back are part of the original ten horns, 21:49 but are no longer in existence today. 21:52 And we're gonna find out why that is, 21:54 this coming Saturday when we talk about antichrist 21:56 and identifying who the antichrist is. 22:00 And so we find that the ten horns 22:03 representing divided Rome 22:05 after the fall of the Roman Empire. 22:07 The Bible tells us that these horns 22:09 would remain divided from 476 AD 22:13 all the way to the very end of time. 22:17 And, friends, if that's clear, 22:18 if that make sense would you please say amen? Amen. 22:21 Now, friends, after describing the breakup 22:23 of the Roman Empire into ten kingdoms, 22:26 then Daniel begins to prophesy 22:29 about the coming kingdom of the antichrist. 22:32 It is the same power in Revelation 13, the beast. 22:36 But in the Book of Daniel God uses a different symbol 22:40 to represent the antichrist kingdom. 22:43 Amongst the ten horns which represents what again? 22:47 The ten kings-- which kingdom divided Rome 22:51 amongst the ten horns are divided Rome, 22:54 Daniel sees a little horn rising, a little king. 22:59 And, friends, this little horn power 23:02 demonstrates the same blasphemes 23:04 persecuting power of the composite beast 23:07 in Revelation 13, why? 23:09 Because it's the same kingdom 23:11 and we're going to see that even more clearly tonight 23:13 and on future nights. 23:14 But I want you to notice what this little horn power 23:17 was seeked to do. 23:19 It fights not only against the people of God, 23:21 but it fights against God in heaven 23:23 through blasphemy. 23:25 The Bible says in Daniel 7:25, 23:27 "And the ten horns out of this kingdoms 23:29 are ten kings that shall arise. 23:31 And another shall rise after them 23:35 and he shall speak." What? 23:38 "Great words against the most high 23:40 and shall ware out the saints of the most high." 23:42 Here we find this little horn kingdom. 23:45 It seeks to make war against the saints of God, 23:48 but it also seeks to speak blasphemous words, 23:50 Greek words against God himself. 23:53 This brothers and sisters, is the kingdom 23:55 that takes to the place of God on earth 23:58 claiming to be the judge of the earth, 24:00 not only making war horizontally but even making war vertically, 24:04 it's a kingdom that fights against God and man. 24:07 It is the great opposer of Christ 24:10 that sits in the place of God on earth. 24:15 And we don't have the time to identify who it is, 24:17 but we'll study that later. 24:18 But I want you to notice the next question. 24:21 How long with this blasphemous kingdom rein for? 24:25 And how long will this kingdom passed 24:27 false judgment on God's people in the earth? 24:31 The Bible says, "I was watching in the-- 24:34 and the same horn was making war with the saints. 24:37 And prevailing against them until." 24:39 What is that word until mean? 24:42 It denotes time, isn't that right? 24:44 So this little horn power would war against the saints 24:46 and prevail until what? 24:48 The Ancient of Days came, and what? 24:51 A judgment was made in favor of the saints of the most high. 24:55 Friends, I am so grateful 24:57 that the wicked kingdoms of the world 24:58 are not going to triumph forever. 24:59 Can you say amen? 25:00 Bible tells us that God is going to set up a kingdom. 25:03 He is going to sit upon His throne in the judgment 25:05 and judgment will be made in favor of the saints. 25:09 The people of God, that the little horn kingdom 25:11 was seeking to destroy and make war against. 25:15 The main point that I am trying to bring on this. 25:17 I'm trying to show you the sequence of the prophecy 25:20 that the great Judgment of God 25:22 follows the rein of the little horn antichrist power. 25:25 The vision first starts out horizontally. 25:28 It tells what the lion, bear, leopard, 25:30 dragon or the terrible beast 25:31 and the ten horns and the little horn. 25:33 It traces Babylon, Medo-Persia, 25:36 Greece, Rome, the antichrist kingdom 25:39 and then the vision now turns vertically 25:41 where we see God the Ancient of Days 25:43 sitting upon His throne in the judgment, 25:46 and why is this? Friends, listen carefully. 25:48 As the little horn kingdom terrorizes the people of God 25:52 and passes false judgment upon them. 25:55 And as this little horn kingdom misrepresents God Himself 25:59 by his bold blasphemy the true judge. 26:02 God Himself is gonna set up His kingdom 26:05 sitting upon His throne and in His judgment 26:09 He's gonna straighten things out. 26:10 Can you say amen? Amen. 26:11 And what is the purpose of this judgment 26:14 that follows the rein of the antichrist? 26:15 It's too full. Two reasons, how many? 26:20 The first one, is so that he can vindicate his saints. 26:24 These people that have been persecuted 26:26 by the little horn kingdom. 26:27 God sets up His judgment to vindicate them 26:30 to show that these were indeed His people. 26:33 And the second reason why judgment follows 26:34 the rein of the antichrist, 26:36 is because in God's judgment at His throne, 26:38 he's gonna judge the little horn kingdom 26:41 and destroy it once and for all. 26:43 Can you say amen? 26:44 Because this little horn kingdom claimed to be God on earth. 26:47 It sat in the place of God on earth. 26:50 They claimed to be the judge over all the earth 26:52 and so now the true Judge 26:53 will put things in its proper place. 26:55 He's gonna straighten things out. 26:56 And, friends, listen, on our later night we're gonna-- 26:59 we're gonna learn what all of this means 27:01 in intricate detail. 27:03 Tonight is moreover an overview. 27:05 So let's review before we move forward tonight. 27:07 The sequence of the kingdoms, 27:08 the first kingdom was the lion 27:10 representing what? Babylon. 27:12 Then the bear representing Medo Persia. 27:16 Greece is the next one and it's symbolized by a leopard 27:21 and then after that a terrible looking beast 27:23 with ten horns representing Rome 27:26 and then after the Roman Empire was their fifth beast, 27:30 what happened? 27:32 Ten horns are rising up out of the Roman Empire 27:34 representing what? 27:36 Divided Rome or divided Europe 27:38 and then amongst the ten horns, amongst divided Europe, 27:41 Daniel saw another, what kind of horn? 27:44 Little horn rising 27:46 and that little horn is the antichrist kingdom 27:48 and immediately after the antichrist kingdom, 27:50 what is the next scene that takes place? 27:53 The Judgment of God in heaven. 27:55 So we find Babylon, 27:57 Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, divided Rome, 28:00 then the antichrist kingdom and then God's judgment throne. 28:04 And, friends, if this is clear so far, 28:06 if you understand this would you please say amen? 28:09 Amen. Isn't it exciting by the way? 28:12 Oh, friends, the word of God is so powerful. 28:14 Bible prophecy is amazing. 28:15 It shows us that God is in control of things. 28:18 Can you say amen? Amen. 28:19 Now, friends, I want you to notice 28:21 that judgment throne-- 28:22 who sits upon the throne by the way? 28:25 Kings, isn't that right? 28:26 So when God sits upon this throne, 28:28 He's not just presiding as judge, 28:31 but He's presiding as the true King, 28:34 saying all these kingdoms 28:35 you claim to be superpowers of the world 28:36 but I am the true king." 28:38 He sits upon the throne as judge. 28:41 And so now that we have gone through Daniel 7 28:43 and traced the sequence of the kingdoms, 28:46 now we can go to Daniel 8. 28:49 Because, friends, what God is gonna do in Daniel 8 28:52 is He's gonna repeat and enlarge 28:56 on what He had just revealed to us in Daniel chapter 7. 29:00 Friends, listen, the same way Daniel 7 29:02 repeats and enlarges on Daniel 2. 29:04 Daniel 8 repeats and enlarges on Daniel 7 29:08 and so God is gonna give us more details 29:11 and so lets notice this is exciting. 29:13 Daniel 8, we find Daniel sees 29:17 two other beasts fighting for supremacy. 29:22 Notice what it says in Daniel 8:3. 29:25 The Bible says, "I lifted up mine eyes, 29:28 and saw, and, behold, 29:29 there stood before the river a." what? 29:34 A ram which had how many horns? 29:36 "Two horns and the two horns were high, 29:39 but one was higher than the other, 29:41 and the higher one came up last." 29:44 Here Daniel 8, God gives him another vision. 29:48 And in this vision he is repeating 29:50 what he reviewed in Daniel 7 29:52 by using different symbols to give more details 29:55 and to flush out the prophecy. 29:58 So Daniel sees a horn that is standing 30:01 which simply means that it's a kingdom 30:03 that's already established. 30:05 This ram has two horns, but of the two, 30:08 one was higher than the other 30:10 and the higher one came up last. 30:12 Well, friends, what does this mean? 30:14 We don't have to guess 30:15 because the Bible interprets itself. 30:18 Notice in verse 20, the Bible says that 30:20 "The ram which thou saw it 30:22 having two horns are the kings of what? 30:25 Medo and Persia. 30:27 So this ram with two horns 30:28 represents the Medo-Persian Empire. 30:30 Its one beast one kingdom but two horns 30:34 because it was two kingdoms that came together in unity 30:37 to destroy the Babylonians, the Medo-Persian Empire 30:40 and it says that one horn was higher than the other 30:42 just like the bear was raised up on one side 30:44 symbolizing that the Persians were stronger than the Medes. 30:48 Do you see, friends, how God is repeating and enlarging? 30:52 Are you with me yes or no? 30:54 And so then Daniel sees another beast in chapter 8:5 30:59 this is a goat beast. 31:01 Notice what it says. 31:02 Daniel 8:5, "And as I was considering, 31:06 behold, an he goat came from the west 31:09 on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground, 31:13 and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes." 31:16 And so now Daniel sees a he goat. 31:19 And this goat is not standing, 31:21 he's not even touching the ground. 31:22 This goat is moving super fast. 31:25 It has just one horn between its eyes. 31:29 And then notice, who is this beast? 31:33 Verse 21 It says 31:35 "And the rough goat is the king of" who? 31:37 Grecia. 31:38 "And the great horn" what kind of horn? 31:42 It says the great horn 31:44 that is between his eyes is the, what? 31:45 First king. 31:47 And, friends, what was the first king of Greece? 31:50 And no wonder why it says, it's a great horn 31:52 because Alexander is called Alexander the Great. 31:55 And so we find the Medo-Persian Empire 31:58 symbolized by the ram with two horns 32:00 and then the Grecian Empire with the one horn 32:03 that is not touching the ground, it is soaring through the-- 32:07 going so fast and not even touching the ground. 32:09 And then notice what happens these two beasts clash together, 32:12 they're fighting against each other for supremacy. 32:15 And in verse 6 and 7. 32:17 "And he goat came to the ram that had two horns 32:21 and ran unto him in the fury of his power. 32:24 And I saw him come close unto the ram, 32:27 and he was moved with choler against him, 32:29 and smote the ram and broke his two horns." 32:33 And then it says "And there was no power in the ram 32:35 to stand before him, 32:37 but he cast him down to the ground 32:38 and stamped upon him, and there was none 32:41 that could deliver the ram out of his hand." 32:44 Friends, this is a fit description 32:47 of how the Grecian Empire 32:48 destroyed the Medo-Persian Empire. 32:50 Breaking the two horns on the ram. 32:53 The Medo-Persian Empire with the one horn, 32:54 Alexander the Great conquered the Medes and Persians. 32:57 And, friends, I want you to notice 32:58 what happens next in the vision. 33:01 After the he goat 33:03 the Grecian Empire is established. 33:05 And that first horn, Alexander the Great 33:07 conquers the Persian Empire. 33:09 Notice what happens to that horn 33:11 that's on the goat. 33:12 In verse 8, it says 33:14 "Therefore the he goat waxed very." 33:16 What? "Great." 33:18 And when he was strong, the great horn was broken. 33:23 And in other words at the height of His power, 33:26 this great horn broke. 33:30 And for it came up how many notable ones? 33:33 Four notable ones toward the four winds 33:36 of the heaven friends, what does this mean? 33:38 Well, friends, the Bible tells us 33:39 exactly what it means in verse 22. 33:42 It says, "Now that being broken." 33:43 Talking about Alexander the Great, that first horn. 33:45 "Now that being broken whereas four stood up for it, 33:49 four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, 33:52 but not in His power." 33:54 In other words that one horn, 33:56 Alexander the Great that was broken, 33:57 at the height of his power. 33:59 Just two years after taking 34:00 and conquering the Medo-Persian Empire, 34:02 he died in the junking stupor 34:04 and the four horns came from it, 34:06 it's a symbol and it's parallel 34:08 with the four heads on the leopard 34:10 which also represents Greece. 34:12 It represents the four generals 34:15 that divided the vast Grecian Empire, 34:18 Cassander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy, Seleucus, 34:21 they rose into the power 34:22 but they did not have the same power 34:25 of the first horn that is Alexander the Great. 34:27 Friends, this is amazing how God has told us exactly 34:30 what's gonna happen and history confirms 34:32 that it happened just as God said, 34:34 and can you say amen. Amen. 34:36 Now friends, I don't want you but I am excited about that 34:38 because this shows me tonight 34:39 that the word of the God is true. 34:41 It can be trusted. It can be verified, friends. 34:46 God is not expecting us to just go blindly 34:48 and follow whatever He says 34:49 without using our minds, no friends. 34:51 He has given us evidence that we can test 34:53 to prove that He is the one true God 34:56 and His word is the truth. 34:57 Can you say amen? 34:58 And so we have traced in Daniel 8 35:01 Medo-Persia, Greece, the little horn-- 35:06 excuse me Greece and that notable horn, 35:08 the great horn I should say, 35:09 which represents Alexander the Great. 35:12 Then he dies and then four horns 35:14 or four heads representing divided Greece 35:17 into four different territories. 35:19 Now, friends, 35:20 tell me what is the very next kingdom 35:23 that should follow according to the contextual sequence? 35:27 What should be the next thing that we should see? 35:30 The Roman Empire, isn't not that right? 35:33 And, friends, that's exactly what is seen here in Daniel 8. 35:37 But I want you to notice 35:39 that God describes the Roman Empire, 35:41 little bit differently than he did in chapter 7. 35:44 Notice how Rome is described in the Daniel 8:9 it says 35:49 "And out of one of them" talking about the four horns. 35:52 "Came forth" a what? 35:54 Little horn which waxed exceeding great, 35:57 toward the south, and toward the east, 36:00 and toward the, what land? The pleasant land. 36:02 And so here we find right after the four horns 36:06 representing divided Greece. 36:08 The Bible tells us Daniel saw amongst them a little horn 36:11 and this little horn at first makes war on a horizontal level. 36:17 He makes war towards the south, 36:19 towards the east, and towards the pleasant land. 36:22 Friends, this little horn 36:23 represents the pagan Roman Empire. 36:26 The pleasant land in the Bible is none other than Jerusalem, 36:30 the holy city. 36:31 It's simply showing that the Roman Empire, 36:34 the first phase of the little horn, 36:36 the horizontal phase made war against the people of God. 36:40 It's fighting on the horizontal level at first. 36:44 But then that's same little horn 36:47 began to make war against God on a vertical level. 36:51 Notice what it says in the very next verse, 36:52 verse 10 through 12. 36:55 It says, now it turns 36:56 from horizontally, now it turns vertically. 36:58 Notice what it says, "And it waxed great, even to." 37:01 Where? 37:02 Host of heaven, and it cast down 37:04 some of the host of the stars to the ground, 37:06 and stamped upon them. 37:08 Yea, he magnified himself even to the" Who? 37:13 So, here we find the Roman Empire 37:14 at first making war horizontally. 37:17 Now this turn vertically 37:18 even trying to magnify themselves 37:22 even to the prince of the host claiming to be God on earth." 37:27 And then notice verses 24-25. 37:29 It says "His power shall be mighty 37:31 and he shall destroy wonderfully 37:34 and shall prosper, and practice, 37:35 and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 37:38 And through his policy 37:40 he shall cause craft (deceit) 37:43 to prosper in His hand." 37:45 Here is a kingdom the antichrist kingdom 37:48 that is causing deception to prosper in the world. 37:51 Trying to destroy the people of God 37:53 and evil fighting its God by his bold blasphemy 37:55 magnifying themselves as God on earth. 37:58 And then it says 37:59 "And he shall magnify," who? 38:03 "Himself, and by peace shall destroy many, 38:06 and he shall stand up against,"who? 38:09 "The Prince of princes." 38:12 Here is the little horn antichrist power, friends, 38:15 that is the continuation of Rome. 38:18 That acts as judge on the earth. 38:21 They commands the worship that belongs to God alone. 38:25 Persecuting the saints 38:27 and even trying to make war with God 38:29 and the truth of God 38:30 and as Daniel sees this little horn kingdom, the antichrist. 38:35 He is troubled by what this kingdom is going to do. 38:40 And so he begins to inquire 38:43 and think how long with this little horn power rein for? 38:47 I mean how long is it-- 38:48 how long is God gonna put up with this kingdom? 38:52 Verse 13, the angels ask the question to each other. 38:56 "Then I heard a holy one speaking." 38:58 And here is the question, 38:59 "How long will the vision be, 39:01 concerning the daily sacrifices 39:03 and the transgression of desolation 39:05 giving the giving of both the sanctuary 39:07 and the host to be trampled underfoot? 39:09 In other words that, that the question is asked 39:11 how long is this little horn power 39:13 that is trampling upon the sanctuary, 39:15 trampling upon the truth of God, 39:16 trampling upon the people of God, 39:18 how long is he gonna rein for? 39:20 How long will God put up with this terrible kingdom 39:24 that is blaspheming against God 39:26 and seeking to destroy the people of God? 39:29 How long will the antichrist kingdom will rein? 39:31 Well, friends, according to the context of what we study. 39:35 What should be the very next thing 39:39 that we should see after the rein of the little horn? 39:43 What is the very next thing Daniel should see 39:45 according to the sequence? 39:46 Well, what did he see in chapter 7, do you remember? 39:48 After the rein of little horn 39:50 what was the very next scene or vision that he saw? 39:52 He saw judgment, where? 39:56 At the throne of God in heaven. 40:00 And so we should anticipate as the question is asked, 40:03 how long is the sanctuary 40:05 and the truth of God and the people of God 40:07 can be trampled underfoot by this little horn kingdom? 40:09 How long will it be? 40:10 We should anticipate the very next thing, 40:14 we should see in chapter 8 is what? 40:16 The judgment, because what is God doing? 40:18 He is repeating and enlarge. 40:22 And so I want you to notice 40:23 how the answer or how the question 40:25 is answered in the very next verse Daniel 8:14. 40:31 God gives us the time prophecy 40:33 to answer the question 40:34 of how long will this little horn antichrist kingdom 40:39 continue to destroy the people and the truth of God? 40:42 The Bible says in verse 14, 40:43 here's the answer, folks. 40:45 And he said unto me, 40:46 Unto two thousand and three hundred" what? 40:50 "Days, then shall the" what? 40:53 "Sanctuary be cleansed." 40:57 I want us to notice that 40:58 in this passage God uses a different word 41:03 to describe the judgment of the little horn. 41:07 He said after 2300 days, 41:10 then the sanctuary that was trampled 41:13 underfoot by the little horn, 41:14 that the little horn sort to make war against and destroy. 41:17 It says, then the sanctuary would be cleansed. 41:19 And, friends, that word cleanse in the Hebrew language, 41:22 it literally means restored. 41:24 What does it mean? 41:25 And, friends, something needs to be restored, 41:27 why because it was broken or trampled upon, isn't right. 41:32 So during the rein of little horn antichrist kingdom 41:35 the sanctuary and the message of God 41:37 and the one that sits there in the sanctuary, 41:39 God himself was trampled upon by this bold blasphemous power 41:44 but God says, oh, don't you worry 41:45 this little horn is not going to rein forever, 41:47 after the 2,300 days 41:50 this sanctuary is going to be restored, 41:53 it's going to be cleansed or in other word 41:54 in the Hebrew, it would be vindicated. 41:57 It will be what? 41:59 And, friends, that word vindicated 42:00 is a judgment expression. 42:03 God gives a time prophecy to answer the question 42:06 as to when God will judge the little horn power 42:10 and when the truth of His sanctuary 42:12 is gonna be restored and vindicated. 42:14 And, friends, listen, 42:15 in mentioning the cleansing of the sanctuary 42:18 God is simply enlarging upon judgment. 42:23 Here is a chart so that we can visualize 42:26 the repeat and enlarge principle. 42:29 To see that the sanctuary being cleansed 42:32 and the judgment of God is synonymous, 42:35 it's connected, it's the same thing. 42:37 And we're gonna find out 42:38 more clearly at 7 o'clock, but notice this chart. 42:41 Here are the different super powers of prophecy. 42:45 Here we find, Daniel 2, Daniel 7 and Daniel 8 42:50 repeating enlarging upon the same things 42:53 using different symbols. 42:54 In Daniel 2, 42:55 the symbol was gold, silver, brass, 42:57 iron, ten toes, representing Babylon, 42:59 Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and divided Rome. 43:02 And then in Daniel 7, they are four beasts. 43:05 Do you see it? 43:06 The first was the lion, that's Babylon, 43:08 then the bear Medo-Persia, 43:09 then the leopard which is Greece, 43:11 then the terrible beasts which is Rome 43:12 and then out of that ten horns representing divided Rome 43:15 and then amongst the ten horns the little horn kingdom 43:18 and then the very next thing is judgment. 43:21 But now as we go to Daniel chapter 8, 43:24 the ram and goat vision. 43:25 We find that the kingdom of Babylon 43:28 is not mentioned in Daniel 8. 43:29 You know why? 43:31 Because by that time Daniel has this vision 43:33 the Babylonian kingdom is almost finished. 43:35 And God is not so much concerned 43:36 with the things of the past, but the things of the future. 43:38 Can you say amen? 43:39 And so you can leave your past 43:41 and let it be past and move forward in the future, amen. 43:44 And so the Babylonian kingdom is not mentioned in chapter 8, 43:47 but the ram is representing Medo-Persia with the two horns, 43:52 then the goat with the one notable horn 43:55 representing Greece and Alexander the Great. 43:56 And then after that the four horns 43:58 representing the divided Greece into four kingdoms 44:01 and then after the He-Goat is described. 44:05 Then in chapter 8, Daniel sees the little horn, 44:08 but first the horizontal phase 44:10 of the little horn representing Rome. 44:12 And how Rome would attack horizontally 44:14 the different kingdoms of the world. 44:16 But then that same power from attacking horizontally 44:20 would then turn vertically and attack the people of God, 44:23 the truth of God and the sanctuary of God. 44:26 And then immediately after describing the vertical phase 44:29 of the little horn antichrist kingdom, 44:31 the very next thing God describes 44:33 is the cleansing of the sanctuary. 44:37 Now, friends, listen, Daniel 7 talked about 44:41 the throne judgment at the little horn. 44:43 But Daniel 8 talks about 44:45 the cleansing of the sanctuary at the little horn rein. 44:47 Why, because the throne judgment 44:51 and the cleansing of the sanctuary 44:53 are talking about the same event. 44:56 God is repeating and enlarging. 44:59 You see, after the rein of the little horn 45:00 God talks about the sanctuary being cleansed, 45:03 being restored, being vindicated. 45:05 Assuring God's people 45:06 that we don't have to afraid of the attacks of the antichrist. 45:09 Because God has the place, 45:11 He's going to send help from the sanctuary. 45:14 But here is the question, friends, 45:15 as we go little bit deeper tonight 45:16 and start bringing out of a few last points. 45:19 How does the sanctuary help us 45:23 from the troubling antichrist kingdom in the last days? 45:27 How is the sanctuary-- 45:29 because you see most Christian churches say, 45:30 oh, that sanctuary, that's the Old Testament, 45:32 it's not relevant, but, friends, let me tell you, 45:34 the only way you can understand the New Testament and Revelation 45:36 is to understand what these symbols represent. 45:39 Now we don't have to slay lambs 45:41 or anything like that but, friends, 45:42 we have understand its significance 45:44 because let me tell you the gospel of the New Testament 45:47 the very foundation of it is the sanctuary. 45:52 Because these were prophecies pointing forward to Jesus Christ 45:57 and what he would do for us in salvation. 46:00 Can you say amen? 46:01 And so how does this sanctuary 46:04 help us in the day of trouble, 46:06 from a troubling antichrist kingdom? 46:09 I want us to notice 46:10 as we take a look at the psalmist prayer. 46:12 They shed some light 46:15 on just how the sanctuary helps us 46:17 to overcome the antichrist. 46:19 In Psalms 73:2-7. 46:23 The Bible says "I was envious of the boastful, 46:26 when I saw the prosperity" of who? 46:29 So here is the Psalmist. 46:32 "God's child envious, that the wicked are prospering. 46:38 He can't understand it 46:40 and then He describes the prosperity of the wicked. 46:42 And he says, "For there are no pangs in their death, 46:45 but their strength is firm." 46:46 How could this be they're wicked and yet there is strong? 46:50 They're not in trouble as other men 46:52 nor are they plagued like other man. 46:55 The Psalmist is baffled by this. 46:58 And then he says 47:00 "Therefore pride serves as their necklace, 47:02 violence covers them like a garment. 47:04 Their eyes bulge with what? Abundance. 47:08 "They have more than the heart could wish." 47:10 The psalmist is thinking about the wicked 47:11 and how they are prospering and he is baffled, 47:14 why is this they have abundance, they are prospering. 47:17 How could this be? 47:20 And, friends, when we study about this little horn kingdom 47:23 and how they prosper for so long. 47:26 The question comes to us how could this be? 47:29 The Psalmist is wondering 47:30 how long would the wicked prosper? 47:32 How long will they triumph seemingly 47:35 over the righteous people of God? 47:37 How long will it be? 47:39 Then notice what the psalmist says. 47:42 Verses 16-19 of the same chapter. 47:45 It says "When I thought to understand this," 47:47 understand what? 47:48 Understand how the wicked could prosper. 47:50 Understand how that little horn antichrist kingdom 47:52 could rein for so long and destroy God's people. 47:55 When I sort to understand this it was too painful for me 47:59 until I went into the sanctuary of God. 48:06 Then I understood their end, amen? 48:12 That's why immediately after talking about 48:14 the rein of the little horn 48:15 God's points us to the sanctuary 48:18 because when he go and study that sanctuary topic, 48:21 he helps us to understand 48:23 that the wicked are not going to rein forever. 48:26 That the antichrist kingdom will come to an end. 48:29 It will be made desolate, he continues to say, 48:31 "Surely You set them in slippery places, 48:34 You cast them down to destruction. 48:37 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! 48:41 They are utterly consumed with terrors." 48:43 And in other words brother and sisters, 48:45 the true judge is going to destroy 48:48 the earthly super powers 48:49 and the antichrist kingdom in these last days 48:51 and so you don't have to be afraid, friends. 48:54 Amen. 48:55 This is why brothers and sisters, 48:56 the study of prophecy is not scary, 48:59 it's a Revelation of hope, it gives us confidence, 49:03 it dispels all fear from our lives 49:07 because it shows us that God's kingdom is gonna rein, 49:10 can you say amen? Amen. 49:11 The question is, have you decided to become 49:15 a citizen of that eternal kingdom? 49:17 Have you aligned yourselves with the kingdom of Christ? 49:22 Bible says, the Psalmist 49:24 when he went into the sanctuary then he understood. 49:27 In other words there was something about 49:28 the sanctuary that helps us to understand Bible prophecy. 49:32 To understand why our world is, the way it is 49:37 and friends, I believe that that is the exact reason 49:39 why Satan has worked so hard 49:41 to cause people to ignore the sanctuary. 49:44 To say, oh, it's not real. That's the Old Testament. 49:47 Oh, we don't have to worry about that anymore. 49:48 But, friends, God wants us to look into this. 49:50 Everything that God says is relevant. 49:52 Can you say amen? 49:53 God does not waste words, 49:55 but it's interesting that 49:56 many sincere wonderful people in the Christian world, 49:59 they say or they ignore it. 50:01 But in reality it helps us to understand, 50:04 why things are the way they are 50:07 and how God is gonna conquer evil in the end. 50:10 Because, friends, listen, this is in the sanctuary. 50:13 This is where the true judge 50:15 will set up his throne in judgment. 50:18 Here in the sanctuary is where the true king 50:21 and the true kingdom would rein. 50:23 It is here in the sanctuary 50:25 that God would execute his righteous judgments 50:27 upon the little horn, its here in the sanctuary 50:30 that he will provide a refuge 50:33 a sanctuary for His persecuted people. 50:36 And friends, when you think about the sanctuary, 50:38 what is the central object in the sanctuary? 50:43 The central character in the sanctuary, 50:46 is the lamb, friends. 50:49 The lamb that will slay, 50:53 that's the central figure in the sanctuary. 50:56 Everything they have in the sanctuary 50:58 revolves around the lamb that was slain. 51:02 And, friends, the sanctuary teaches us 51:04 about the power of this lamb to over come all the other beasts 51:09 and kingdoms of the world. 51:12 And this is important 51:13 because Revelation reveals this reality. 51:17 In Revelation 5:6 the Bible says 51:21 "I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the" what? 51:24 And, friends, where is the throne? 51:26 In the sanctuary. 51:27 It says, "In the midst of the throne 51:28 and of the four beasts, 51:29 and in the midst of the elders, 51:30 stood a Lamb as it had been slain." 51:35 This is the power of Jesus 51:37 triumphing over evil and over sin, 51:39 as evil insisted the slain lamb. 51:41 The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross 51:44 was a death nail to Satan's antichrist kingdom. 51:49 Can you say amen? 51:52 And that's the reason why the beast hates the lamb. 51:57 That's why the antichrist kingdom 51:58 is seeking to destroy the lamb 52:00 and the followers of the lamb. 52:02 And, friends, Revelation describes 52:05 the beast's final attempt 52:08 to dethrone the lamb in these last days. 52:11 I want to read it to you 52:12 and we're going to find out exactly what it means later, 52:14 but here is foundation, friends. 52:16 Notice Satan's final attempt through the antichrist beast 52:21 to try to destroy the lamb 52:23 and the kingdom of God. 52:25 It's found in Revelation 17:12 52:27 notice what it says. 52:28 Revelation 17:12, it says, 52:31 "And the ten horns which you saw are ten what? 52:35 "Kings, which have received no" what? 52:40 "Kingdom as yet." 52:41 I want you to notice 52:43 what is this talking about ten horns are ten kings? 52:45 Do you remember out of the fourth beast, 52:46 the Roman Empire rouse how many horns? 52:49 And what do those ten horns represent? 52:51 Ten kings were specifically represents divided Rome 52:55 or the breakup of Rome, divided Europe. 52:57 Tell me, friends, 52:58 is Europe still divided tonight yes or no? 53:00 Yes. 53:02 And so it says, "Which have received no kingdom" 53:06 that word kingdom is it in the singular or in the plural? 53:09 Singular. 53:10 In other words ten kings plural will not receive one kingdom, 53:15 do you know why? 53:17 Because they will not adhere or cleave one to another. 53:20 Even as iron is not mixed with clay, 53:23 do you remember that? 53:24 And in other words Europe 53:26 is gonna remain divided to the very end of time. 53:28 Ten kings, but they don't have one kingdom as yet 53:31 but receive power 53:35 as kings one hour with the beast. 53:40 In other words? They are going to try to unite. 53:43 The divided kingdoms of the world 53:45 are gonna try to come together, 53:46 but they are not gonna come together 53:47 in one word governments. 53:49 That's not gonna happen, friends. 53:51 Because they would not cleave or mix together, 53:55 but there is gonna be a unity. 53:57 They're gonna rein as kings one hour with the beast. 54:00 And then it says, "These have one" what? 54:05 In other words how are they one? 54:07 Not in a one word government, 54:09 they have one mind. 54:11 In other words they are on the same page 54:14 in their mindset in these last days. 54:18 In their goals and ideologies you see to have one mind, 54:21 it means to have one intention, 54:24 one resolve, one purpose, that they come together 54:28 and not so much the one word government 54:30 but they are gonna unite 54:31 and have the same goal in all the world. 54:36 And what will this unity result in? 54:39 It continues, "These have one mind 54:43 and shall give their power and strength unto the" 54:46 so what's gonna happen as a result of this unity? 54:49 They are gonna look to the beast, 54:51 the antichrist kingdom as the leader in the last days. 54:55 They are gonna lend their power their influence to the beast. 55:01 And that's the reason why 55:02 that this antichrist beast 55:05 is the final super power of the world. 55:09 It not only has all the characteristics 55:11 of all the other super powers of the past Babylon, 55:14 Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome 55:15 and not only has all of those characteristics, 55:17 but it has all the power and influence 55:20 and support of the ten horns, 55:22 here is a super beast, friends. 55:24 A super power, the antichrist kingdom. 55:29 And, friends, notice what happens. 55:32 Notice what the unity will result in. 55:36 It says, "These shall make war with" who? 55:40 "The lamb." 55:41 In other words the divided kingdoms 55:43 and the world will give their power 55:45 and support to the final antichrist beast kingdom. 55:48 And as a result of this unity, 55:49 they are gonna make war with the lamb, 55:51 they are gonna try to destroy the people of God, 55:54 the truth of God and even God himself, 55:57 they will make war with the lamb. 56:00 Friends, we need to look at this, 56:02 it seems like an unfair match. 56:04 How in the world can a lamb 56:09 which is a humble meek animal. 56:11 How can a lamb standup against a lion? 56:15 How can a lion standup against the bear 56:17 or leopard or a terrible beast? 56:19 How can the lamb-- 56:21 it seems like the lamb doesn't have a chance, 56:23 the future seems so bleak, 56:25 is there any hope who's gonna win this war? 56:28 Who is gonna over come? 56:29 They are gonna make war with the lamb, 56:30 but the Bible says, that the lamb shall overcome them. 56:35 "For he is Lord of lords, and King and kings, 56:38 and they that are with him are called, 56:40 and chosen, and faithful." 56:41 Oh, brothers and sisters, 56:43 this lamb has the power to slay beasts. 56:46 This lamb is gonna overcome 56:48 the dragon kingdoms of the last days. 56:51 He is the rightful Lord, 56:52 the rightful King and the rightful judge. 56:55 Bible prophecy tell us clearly 56:57 that the lamb kingdom is gonna remain victorious 57:00 against the beast kingdoms 57:01 and the final super powers of the world, 57:04 can you say amen? 57:05 And, friends, listen 57:06 as the lamb takes his rightful place 57:08 upon the throne in His sanctuary, 57:10 those who follow the lamb with us wherever he goes, 57:13 those who keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, 57:16 those who are with Him, the Bible says notice, 57:19 those who are with him are called and chosen and faithful." 57:23 This is what I like to call victory by association. 57:29 Victory by what? 57:30 You see, those that are with him 57:32 are not the ones fighting the beast, 57:34 because they don't stand a chance. 57:36 Who is the one that overcomes? 57:38 It says the lamb shall overcome. 57:41 And as long as we associate ourselves with the lamb, 57:44 as long as we follow the lamb, 57:46 the lamb is going to win the victory 57:48 and because he wins we will win as well. 57:51 Can you say amen? Amen. 57:55 It's just like those who are big fans 57:59 of assume basket ball team. 58:03 And whenever that basketball team wins 58:06 they feel like they won. 58:07 When they didn't stepped foot on the court, 58:10 they didn't score one point, 58:12 they didn't get one rebound 58:14 and yet they feel like they won 58:15 why because they associate themselves with that team. 58:18 In the same way, friends, 58:19 when we place ourselves inline with the Lamb of God, 58:22 His kingdom the truth, Jesus Christ, 58:24 it says that we are going to win the victory as well. 58:27 Can you say amen? 58:28 Oh, friends, you don't have to worry about the beast, 58:30 just stay close to the lamb. |
